4/73 Spicynoodleshipping with their actual child?
Prompt List
Yessss, I imagine Red spoiling her more than MK does. MK is trying to be the serious one but he gives in still.
4. âHow did I get so lucky?â 73. âYouâre safe now. Iâm here.â
                 --------------------------------
Xiaolian, their little baby, their little lotus, was running around the house before bedtime. Xiaolian was only five years old and full of energy. Xiaotian and Red were trying to put her to bed but she refused to listen. She was beautiful and a great combination of her parents, she had red fiery hair and MKâs eyes. She looked mostly human everything except for the monkey tail and two horns from her head. She was polite, energetic, a great inventor like her papa. Her grandparents, great uncle, and aunt adored her. They spoiled her rotten, Tang and Pigsy, well mostly Pigsy taught her to cook, Tang on the other hand shared stories, Wukong would sit her on his lap letting her play with the baby monkeys, Macaque ruffled her hair. Sandy had let her sit on her shoulders and Mei spoiled her with plushes even DBK and Princess Iron Fan loved her. The demons had repaired the relationship with their son completely after the last fight four years ago with the White Bone Spirit but had been somewhat around for Xiaolianâs birth which MK suspected was what finally convinced them to go good. It was great for Red to finally have the love of his parents back and they were heavily invested in their granddaughterâs life.
No one spoiled her as bad as Red did. He loved his baby girl so much. He got emotional over every little thing she did. He cried when she cried the very second she was born, cried over when she tripped after taking her first few steps, cried over her first invention, everything was emotional. MK hoped his husband would grow of it. Gods knows what Red would do if she got a partner! Now MK was more reasonable about the whole thing or at least he tried to be, someone had to be, but even he found himself giving in.
âXiaolian, itâs time to go to bed, sweetie,â MK reminded.
Xiaolian bounced up and down on the couch. âBut daddy, papa, Iâm not tired! Five more minutes?â She gave puppy dog eyes to her parents.
Red cooed. âMaybe she can have five more minutes, Noodle Boy.â
MK crossed his arms and glared at his husband. âNo, we already let her have five minutes, five minutes ago. RedâŠâ
Red smiled nervously at his husband. âOkay⊠listen to your daddy, Xiaolian.â
Xiaolian got off the couch and frowned. âOkay, sorry papa and daddy.â
MK ruffled her hair and got on his knees to look his child directly in the eyes. âItâs okay, love. The sooner you sleep, the earlier you wake up, the more you can play, okay?â
Xiaolianâs face quickly morphed into a grin. âOkay, daddy!â
Red repeated his husbandâs actions then kissed her on the forehead. âLetâs go, little lotus.â He carried her in his arms and made their way to her room. He pulled the covers away and gently laid her down, placing the covers over her.
âCan I hear a story?â Their baby asked, her eyes sparkling and her feet kicking under the covers.
Red wanted to reply with âAs many stories as you want.â But his husband responded before he could say something. âOkay but only one story and then go to sleep.â
 âOkay, daddy!â
MK and Red sat on her bed as they told her their love story. The story of rivals with completely different goals battling against each other until they started a friendship and fell in love and had a baby. They didnât use specific names or specific details but they could tell their daughter loved it and in the middle of it, she fell fast asleep.
They both smiled at their daughter and kissed the top of her head, making sure she was comfortable before they left. Red put an arm around his husbandâs waist and led him out and into their room. They shared a kiss and got under the covers over their own bed.
âYou have to stop spoiling her so much, Red,â Xiaotian commented.
 âNever, love. Never.â
âWhat is she turns out too spoiled?â
Red rolled his eyes. âShe has us as parents, it wonât happen.â
âOkay⊠jeez I donât know whatâs going to happen when she grown up and has a partner,â he teased, nudging his husband.
 Redâs face paled. âPar- partner?â
MK kissed his cheek. âDonât worry, honey. It wonât happen until 12 years or so.â
âSheâs not allowed to date. Ever.â
MK laughed and grabbed his sketchbook from a drawer along with a pencil and began drawing. âSure, whatever you say.â
What would he do if she had a partner? Yea, she was too good for any partner, she definitely wasnât allowed to date. Red shook himself out of his shock. He stared at his husband and thought of their beautiful daughter, he had gotten so lucky. He had a wonderful husband and the most perfect baby.
He kept staring at his husband until MK spoke up. âYou do know youâre staring, right?â
âHm? Oh, something is on my mind.â
 âWhatâs that?â
âHow did I get so lucky?â MK looked at him, his eyebrows raised.
 âRed, you always say that.â
âBut how did I? I never imagined this as my life now I have a baby and husband that I love more than anything in this world.â
 âYou asked me first.â
âYou said yes when you could have said no. Thank you for not rejecting me back then, thank you for agreeing to marry me, thank you for having our child, just thank you, Noodle Boy.â He leaned and smooched his husband. âThank you.â
A blush was left on Xiaotianâs cheeks. He put his sketchbook and pencil on the bed. âYou donât have to keep thanking me. I did all of this because I love you.â
âI love you too. I just⊠never expected this⊠Iâll keep thanking you forever how long because you deserve it.â
His husband shook his head. âIâll do the same too. Youâve been amazing, raising our daughter.â He ran a hand over Redâs face. âYouâre fantastic, Red.â
âYou are too, my love.â They shared another kiss. It wasnât long until after that that they decided to turn in for the night.
They didnât get that many hours in before âDADDY! PAPA!â They awoke each with sleepy gasps.
MK rubbed his eyes. âXiaolian is up again.â
Red kissed his husband. âIâll handle it.â
 âYou sure, Red?â
 âYes, I can.â
âIâll be there in a minute. Just need to force myself out of bed.â
Red nodded and bolted towards his daughterâs room. The sight of her broke his heart, she was crying. âLittle lotus, whatâs wrong?â
âPAPA!â She screamed and ran towards her papa, hugging him tight.
Red got on his knees and hugged her back. âYouâre safe now. Iâm here. Whatâs wrong?â
Xiaolian sniffled. âI had a nightmare, you and daddy were gone, you were hurt by some meanie and never woke up!â
Red gasped. âThat is never going to happen! I promise.â
âBut papa, what if it does?â
âYour daddy has his staff, I have my powers and inventions. Your daddy and I have been through a lot and weâve been perfectly fine.â
 âBut⊠butâŠâ
âItâs okay, baby. Daddy and I wouldnât let anything hurt you or us.â
âOkayâŠâ She kept sniffling, Red kissed her forehead.
He was trying to soothe her sobbing as he attempted to explain that nothing was going to happen to them.
 âDo you promise?â
 âHuh?â
âDo you promise that nothing is gonna happen to you and daddy?â
Red smiled. âOf course, my love. I promise.â
 âYay!â
Red began singing in a soft tune to her. She cuddled up with her papa as she was placed on his lap and handed her monkey plush which Wukong had bought her. MK stood in the doorway of their babyâs room, he loved hearing his husband sing.
Red stopped his singing and kissed his babyâs head. âSee little lotus, nothing will happen.â
MK approached his husband and his child. âDaddy!â She reached out for her daddy.
MK shifted her from Redâs lap to his head. âHi honey, did you have a nightmare?â
âYea! Papa made it all better!â
âAwwww, did he now? Papa is a hero.â
 âYea!â
Red smiled. âYouâre going to make me blush, love.â
 MK replied, âThatâs the plan.â
Red kissed his husband. âEwwwww.â Xiaolian stuck her tongue out in disgust at her parentsâ affection.
Red smirked and began tickling his daughter. âItâs not ew. You silly lotus.â
She laughed. âAck, daddy help me!â
Xiaotian laughed along and started tickling his husband. âHey noodle boy, youâre supposed to be on my side!â
Xiaotian playfully rolled his eyes. âNot this time.â
It continued like that for an hour, the house being full of light and laughter and as they finally put their daughter to bed. Red whispered, âThank you, my little one.â Then he turned to his husband, âThank you, my love.â Xiaotian shook his head and kissed his husband. They left to their room knowing their daughter would be fine, they basked in the warmth of each other as they both wondered how they got so lucky.

My LMK Headcanons
So I'm making this more cement my headcanons for certain characters. These will be my headcanons for characters moving forward from the start of of May 2022. Some of these might change over time, and so I will edit this post if that happens. Now some characters do not have sexuality listed because I write x reader stuff, I do not think it would be fair to some readers and would exclude them. I also do not have headcanons for all characters. Some characters have races and sexualities added because it's something I've thought hard on.

Creation of First Human-Monkey Embryos Sparks Concern
Called chimeras, these lab-grown creations have been hailed as a major scientific breakthrough. But some ethics experts see reason for worry
An image of the first monkey-human embryo shows human cells, tagged in red, in a macaque monkey embryo three days after researchers inserted human stem cells.
By Robert Lee Hotz
April 26, 2021Â
Imagine pigs with human hearts or mice whose brains have a spark of human intelligence. Scientists are cultivating a flock of such experimental creations, called chimeras, by injecting potent human cells into mice, rats, pigs and cows. They hope the new combinations might one day be used to grow human organs for transplants, study human illnesses or to test new drugs.
In the latest advance, researchers in the U.S. and China announced earlier this month that they made embryos that combined human and monkey cells for the first time. So far, these human-monkey chimeras (pronounced ky-meer-uhs) are no more than bundles of budding cells in a lab dish, but the implications are far-reaching, ethics experts say. The use of primates so closely related to humans raises concerns about unintended consequences, animal welfare and the moral status of hybrid embryos, even if the scientific value of the work may be quite high.
âThere were lots of breakthroughs in this experiment,â says bioethicist Nita Farahany of Duke University. âA remarkable step has been taken scientifically that raises urgent issues of public concern. We need to figure out what the right pathway forward is to help guide responsible progress.â
Scientists have been creating partly human chimeras for years. Researchers use rats with human tumors to study cancer, for example, and mice with human immune systems to conduct AIDS research. What makes the latest experiment unique is that the scientists injected human stem cells, which can become any kind of tissue, into an embryo of a closely related primate.
To make them, researchers from the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, Calif., and Chinaâs Kunming University of Science and Technology injected human stem cellsâmade by reprogramming mature skin or blood cellsâinto 132 embryos from macaque monkeys. Six days after the monkey embryos had been created at the State Key Laboratory of Primate Biomedical Research in Kunming, researchers injected each one with 25 human stem cells labeled with a fluorescent red protein.
âWe put them together in a petri dish in the laboratory, to see how they interact with one another,â says Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte, director of the Salk gene expression laboratory, who led the research effort. The next day, the monkey embryos glowed. Human cells had become integrated into all of them, far more effectively than in previous experiments with embryos from other species such as pigs, they reported on April 15 in Cell.
So far, these human-monkey chimeras canât survive longer than 19 days. âItâs never been our intention and never will be to create a living chimera in a monkey host,â says Dr. Izpisua Belmonte.
Even so, the new chimera experiment highlights a dilemma. When human stem cells are injected into an animal embryo at such an early stage of development, there so far is no way to control where they go or limit what type of adult cells they become, other scientists say.
âIt does show that the human stem cells tend to migrate far and wide through the monkey embryo,â says Insoo Hyun, a bioethicist at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, who is involved in international oversight of such research. âThat is what leads to the theoretical concern: There is a chance that in an uncontrolled way it may lead to a mixing of human cells that may result in human cells developing in the brain or the heart or from head to toe across the body.â That means researchers canât target the stem cells to create specific organs or avoid random changes to the animalâs brainâat least not yet.
In a glimpse of the potential effects, researchers at the University of Rochester in 2014 transplanted human fetal brain cells called astrocytes into young laboratory mice. They discovered that within a year the human cells had taken over the mouse brains. Moreover, standard tests for mouse memory and cognition showed that the altered mice were smarter.
In such ways, stem-cell chimeras have âthe potential to radically humanize the biology of laboratory animals,â Dr. Hyun says.
It has long been a politically charged field of research, bioethicist Henry Greely at Stanford University says. In his 2006 State of the Union Address, President George W. Bush called the creation of human-animal hybrids one of âthe most egregious abuses of medical research.â Seven countries ban or restrict it. Since 2015, the U.S. National Institutes of Health has refused to fund experiments that involve human stem cells added to early animal embryos.
Policy makers, however, might relax some restrictions this year. An NIH spokeswoman says that the organization is awaiting the release next month of updated guidelines from the International Society for Stem Cell Research âto ensure our position reflects the input from the community, which has been very thoughtful.â The agency lifted restrictions on fetal-tissue research earlier this month.
âI believe that NIH is eager to move on,â says Dr. Hyun, who led the committee that updated the societyâs guidelines for experiments involving human-primate chimeras.
Dr. Izpisua Belmonte says he welcomes oversight. At his urging, the recent experiment was reviewed beforehand not just by institutional review boards in the U.S. and China but also by three independent bioethics experts. âNot everything that we scientists can do should be done,â he says. âExperiments like this certainly raise many concerns.â
Are such experiments worth doing to advance scientific research? Or do ethical concerns outweigh the benefits? Join the conversation below.
Research using primates is increasingly difficult in Europe and the U.S. The Salk team collaborated with scientists in China to take advantage of their growing expertise in keeping monkey embryos alive outside the body. China singled out the creation of primate disease models as a national goal in 2011, aiming to create gene-altered monkeys suitable for studying treatments or cures for a variety of human brain diseases and disorders such as autism.
While major technical hurdles remain, scientists in China already are using tools of embryo engineering, such as cloning, to speed up the breeding of primates given new traits through modern gene-editing techniques.
âAs long as it is an embryo in a dish we are not concerned,â Dr. Greely says of the human-monkey chimera. âIf you actually try to gestate such a thing, particularly if you can bring it successfully to term, then the issues get more significant.â

If you don't mind me prompting you again...68 with expecting Spicynoodles?
Prompt List
Of course! Itâs perfectly with me! Hope you enjoy!
68.  âWhy are you wearing my sweater?â âBecause it smells like you.âÂ
MK was about six months pregnant, he rubbed his baby bump as he looked at the crib they prepared and the toys surrounding it. They had a lot of help during the entire thing from the others. Wukong and Macaque had bought them a monkey plush, Mei had been there for some doctorâs appointments, Pigsy and Tang gave them advice for what to do, and Sandy had given him some herbal tea. It was an exciting time for all of them. Xiaotian wanted to give this baby the best life.
Red had been so amazing during this entire thing. It warmed his heart to see how invested Red was in their babyâs life. He knew Red was determined not to treat them the same way he was treated by his parents. Red had bought every baby book there is, took care of Xiaotianâs needs. He was going to be the perfect father.
His husband was currently out on a grocery run to satisfy Xiaotianâs weird cravings. MK sat down in a rocking chair as he continued to rub his bump. His husband had been gone for an hour yet he already missed him. No doubt, Red was deciding what brand of whatever would satisfy MKâs cravings more.
MK picked up a book and began to read to his baby, hoping to quash the lonely feeling he felt. It didnât work as he went to their bedroom and gazed at the pictures on the wall. Most of the pictures had been from their wedding night. His mouth forming a smile, he really wanted his husband home now. He wanted to cuddle him and hear him purr.
âI miss your dadâŠâ he said to his baby, the baby kicking in response. âLooks like you agree, my little monkey.â He glanced at a chair with an item of clothing draped over it. It was his husbandâs sweater, weird⊠he might have left it in a hurry. He rolled his eyes, he really needed to tell his husband to calm down. MK said one thing about wanting something that they didnât have in the house then Red bolted off into his grocery run.
Xiaotian held up the piece of clothing and smelled it. It smelled just like his husband even though it might have been awhile since he wore that particular sweater. He decided to put it on, the fabric fitting perfectly to accommodate for their growing child. He went to the mirror in their bathroom and checked himself out. He looked great, he rubbed his bump again. It was so warm and comfortable, more importantly it smelled like his husband.
He stayed there for a bit, admiring himself in the mirror. It wasnât long after that until his husband came home. He heard the door open, Xiaotian got a bright smile on his face.
âNoodle boy, Iâm home!â Red shouted. He heard Red place the groceries on the kitchen counter and open the fridge. MKâs eyes sparkled as he quickly walked to their kitchen to greet him.
âWelcome home, Red!â He greeted. Red was putting the groceries away, not glancing at his husband just yet.
âI got you different brands of that one thing you wanted.â
âRed! You didnât have to do that!â
âWell I didnât know which brand you liked, noodle boy. Plus you deserve to be accommodated for everythingâŠâ
 MK cooed. âAwww, Red.â
Red blushed as he put the last of the groceries away. He slammed the fridge shut and turned to his husband. âNow loveâŠ.â His eyes widened once he gazed at his husband. His face grew even more hot. âWhy- why are you wearing my sweater?â
âBecause it smells like you,â his husband replied simply. âYou were taking forever and I missed you⊠so I wanted to try your sweater!â
Red wrapped his arms around his husband and buried his face into his shoulder. âYou⊠you look cuteâŠâ
MK giggled. âAwww, thanks Red. I think our baby likes it too.â
Red smiled at the baby bump and knelt down to kiss it. The baby kicked happily. âGuess they doâŠâ he stood up and held his husbandâs hands. âYou should wear my clothes more often.â
MK giggled. âI will.â He kissed his husband softly and Red kissed back. They were stopped when their baby began kicking. âLooks like someone wants attention.â
Red kissed his husbandâs bump again. âDonât worry. Iâll give you as much attention as you want,â he whispered. âThank you, noodle boy. Thank you so much.â
âYou donât have to keep thanking me, Red. I should be thanking you. Youâre doing everything you can to make sure Iâm comfortable.â
âYouâre the one carrying our child⊠I never expected to be this happy⊠ever⊠and itâs all thanks to you. Thank youâŠâ
âOh, Red⊠thank youâŠâ He gave his husband another kiss. It was slow and passionate, sparks flying in between them. They only separated when their baby began kicking again. They both laughed and talked to their baby, MK feeling the fabric of the sweater when he massaged his baby bump again. This baby was going to have the happiest life ever.
