I'll go first mine is Deepcolor, because being able to deploy 7 minions and her for a total of 29 DP comes in handy more often than you'd think.
#Arknights#ALSO she might not be able to replenish them#but she's still the only summoner that can heal her own summons#which is Very Good#I don't use her S2 as often but if you combine it with someone like Flametail#you can have a very silly time#She's a super solid choice for IS2#I am Deepcolor's number 1 fan you will love this squidgirl

As a Fiskmatt fan, I like to see Fisk and Matt falling in love, but it seems difficult and illogical to make Matt to love a villain. Have you ever had the same problem?
Oh my god, auuuuugh! Yes! lol.
At times, the FiskMatt relationship does feel impossible given Matt's sanctimony. Some heroes are more morally gray, but Daredevil leans pretty clean. He has horrible anger issues and he'll bend the rules fairly often, but his one constant is "No killing." Which is obviously something Fisk does a lot. A lot, a lot.
So it can be difficult to reckon with the idea he would ever be in a relationship with Fisk— and that it could last if they ever were.
But not... impossible...
[Concessions for Love?]
One ace-in-the-hole I'm always happy to have is Matt's canon relationship with Elektra. She's a morally complex murderer, and Matt loves her anyway. Though he does often grapple with this choice.
[Daredevil #610]
But he returns to her every time. Again and again and again and again and again.
[Defenders 1x08]
Even if certain concessions have to be made.........
[Wastelanders: Hawkeye #1]
People can prefer Matt with other women from the series/comics (more than fair), but everybody knows his soulmate. ¯\_(╹◡╹)_/¯ Matthew Michael Murdock will (figuratively) stare a healthy relationship in the face, then about turn and get back together with Elektra. Again.
[Daredevil: The Man Without Fear (1993) #3]
"I don't know what we are together, and if we have any chance in the future… I don't… But I… I do know that I'm free with you. Like with no one else."
I take this quote from Matt to Elektra in the DD S2 finale and very simply, very easily lay it over FiskMatt. Truly no effort at all.
[Daredevil 2x13]
I absolutely use Matt's decisions in his relationship with Elektra to justify a lot of my FiskMatt shipping. Because he doesn't agree with all of who she is. He even hates significant parts of it. But he loves her, and he'll always love her.
So when I think about FiskMatt, I already have this bedrock foundation of, "Yes, Matt feels very strongly about his convictions and morals. He will also set them aside and be a hypocrite when he cares about someone." At the very least, I believe he'd choose denial over confrontation. In that, if he were in a relationship with Fisk, they could constantly fight about what the man does, or they could choose to not discuss that part of their lives.
I've gone that route in fics many times. And yes, it is absolutely an unsustainable powder keg. But for me, that is part of the appeal of FiskMatt: a volatile combination brought together out of mutual affection that wants the relationship to last as long as possible while knowing that isn't forever. I get so excited at the visual image of them digging their heels into the earth while being pulled to the inevitable, wanting to be together and fighting all the reasons they can't be.
Granted, I have a strong love affair with bittersweet.

[Fisk Quits]
But then sometimes, I'll write FiskMatt where Matt cannot accept Fisk's criminal lifestyle. He gives an ultimatum that Fisk can have Matt or his empire, but not both. The idea that Fisk would give it all up for love sounds like a lot, but I can think of two instances where he has. (More if you want to get technical.)
[The Amazing Spider-Man #197]
[What if...? #73]
Fisk is a cutthroat villain, but never forget that his center is so gooey soft for those he loves. Apparently, even a relationship with Matt can get him to walk away from crime (granted, the above situation is more of a familial affection).
I think if you cultivated a reality where Fisk really comes to care for Matt, he could be coerced into giving up crime for him. Which would remove a great burden from Matt's ability to love him in return.
Although... with such a direction, you still have a reckoning with Matt accepting what Fisk has done in the past, even if he won't offend again. Wouldn't that be interesting if Fisk gave up crime for him, only for Matt to realize it still isn't enough? He thought he could start with a blank slate, but he can't let go of the past. Or... you lean into, "Well, Matt is Catholic, and a big selling point is that someone's sins can be forgiven, no matter how heinous." Could go either way.
I do like to think Matt could forgive Fisk's past evil though. *gestures at beloved comic page*
[Daredevil #300]
But it is interesting to imagine Fisk giving up crime, Matt realizing it doesn't fix the past, still breaks up with him, and Fisk gets angry. Now he has no empire or love. 🍿👀
⫗⫗⫗⫗⫗⫗⫗⫗⫗⫗
[Compromise]
I also like the allure of a middle-ground. Fisk still commits crime. Matt acknowledge he commits crime. But there are conditions.
And this comes from canon (series and comic) acknowledging that if you remove Fisk from the underworld, the ensuing power vacuum is so much worse and more violent than if you just left him. So you write Matt putting on his big boy pants and admitting Fisk has to be the Kingpin. The notion that there could ever be a crime-free, utopian city is a pipe dream. There's going to be evil. Let the best case scenario control it. Fisk is better and smarter than anyone else in his position. He takes over and keeps down gang wars, etc.
But if Matt were to admit that Fisk in power is the lesser evil, his conscience can't let the actions of it be a blank check. There are conditions. No one innocent gets hurt in the crossfire, so on. People who willingly entered the life knowing the risks? Fair game. That way, Fisk can still control crime with more than empty threats. Granted, I consider even this to be its own powder keg. Matt thinks he can accept evil men dying. The question is how well he actually does whenever that's tested. Maybe if Fisk works hard to keep it from him.
I suppose that goes back to them stubbornly wanting to be together and ignoring why they shouldn't be. In a situation like this though, Matt might appreciate that he controls the man who controls crime. I like in Jessica Jones S1 when Killgrave suggests Jessica stay with him and tell him everything he should do to be good. Delicious. Though I imagine it would weigh heavily on Matt's mind.
⫗⫗⫗⫗⫗⫗⫗⫗⫗⫗
I guess what I'm saying is there are multiple ways Matt could handle Fisk's villainy, and how you approach it depends on personal preference or situational requirement. The answer in one scenario won't work in another. IE: if I write a fic where Fisk has all the power, Matt can't bargain with or leave him. He has to concede.
I think I've written several different options using the above or a combination. It just depends what I want from them at any given time.
But genuinely, Matt loving Elektra despite her darker nature remains one of my greatest justifications for FiskMatt. It really shines a spotlight on the fact that Matt's choices are different than we would otherwise predict. My guy can ignore so much if he wants to.
#FiskMatt#Ask#I also just love parallels between Fisk and Elektra#my 12yo murderers#I WILL take full advantage of canon thank#I sourced the pages#Sometimes even I like the future reference#lol#Daredevil

I think the vitriol for Boscha is weird, people claim they hate her because shes a bully, but then refuse to get annoyed at Amity or Skara, or ignore how teachers actively encouraged vicious behaviour. (they encouraged toddlers beating each other up like come on.)
Bullying is usually a bigger, more complex issue than just 'this one person being awful' its usually a combination of the bully, other students not caring or joining in, along with teachers and faculty not caring enough to discourage it.
like if your gonna say you care about bullying in media, at least call out how Skara stood there in ASPIS while Willow went 'we've all been misjudged' like Skara wasnt one of the people who joined in on said misjudging.
So… Explaining the vitriol towards Boscha is mostly… sad. So first I'm going to touch on you mentioning the teachers because it's actually a thing in S1 of TOH that everyone is kind of a terrible person and it's part of what makes the incidental world building in S1 fascinating. The most unique thing about TOH's world is that it values conformity, even conformity to being terrible and selfish, ABOVE lawfulness. Hence the Conformatorium.
That doesn't survive S2 of course, and especially not Elsewhere Elsewhen, but I digress.
As for Boscha's hate though… Someone said there's a trope called "A jerk is worse than a villain." And I immediately understood it. With a villain, they're often more over the top, they obviously are of importance and you know they'll be redeemed or defeated eventually (I'll actually get back to this).
With a jerk though… They can often feel too real or muted and like they don't have a reason to be doing what they're doing besides being mean. Boscha falls in this latter category (though she has her reasons to act the way she does). Nothing she does is actually that over the top. She is a perfectly well written, high school bully.
And this fandom is filled with a lot of eternally online teenagers who see themselves in Luz, if not AS Luz, especially with us being told Luz was bullied in the past. How many of them have known someone like Boscha? How many of them hate that person in real life? How many of them will never forgive those people? And how many people of those people who are fueled like that are one step away from becoming bullies themselves once they find someone less powerful than them so they can feel in control and not helpless anymore?
Now… There is a good question for "Why didn't this happen with Amity?" Because Amity was a bully, right? Well… She only gets one real line of being a bully and that's her mocking of Willow right when we meet her. After that, for that episode, she's a villain. She's entertainingly over the top to the point of easily selling how much this all matters to her.
Which then makes her actions in Covention feel more justified because Luz is on her shitlist. HOWEVER, this was also the dividing point for her. If she hadn't been obviously on the road to redemption with sympathetic excuses (because they are excuses but realistic ones, especially for a teenager) for her behavior by the end of the episode, I imagine a lot more people would have either taken longer to warm up to her or never forgotten she was a bully. Never been willing to let that go. But after Hooty's Moving Hassle, she… Never does anything bad to another person. All of her edge is gone by then and more often than not, bad things are happening to her as part of the show's revisionism to make her seem like she was never a bad person.
Boscha never got that. Nothing she ever did was that over the top except wanting to use Luz as target practice. That's really it. She was never given blatant excuses, even if you can read into why and possibly even the how (Thanks Amity) for why she is as she is. And this fandom likes its face value choices a lot more than taking it one step further and figuring out what it all implies together. The grander picture.
Because Boscha is a fascinating, well rounded, TRAGIC character if you take everything that has happened, what her friends growing up must have been like, especially with Amity as her best friend, etc. like that. Is she still mean? Absolutely. She's still a bitch and I wouldn't want her to lose her edge like Amity even if she were properly redeemed. But there's a lot there… That probably wouldn't have lasted if she'd been given attention because of how TOH does its arcs because both Hunter and Amity are all about "That first episode was a lie. Now let us make sure you forget it except for Twitter posts praising our character development."
But unfortunately, without that attention… Boscha is still the bully that the fandom can put their own problems and damages onto and she'll never be saved from that. Similar things could have been said for how people treated Odalia and Alador between Seasons 1 and 2 instead of trying to see where they may be coming from.
And it all is kind of a shame, especially when I think Boscha is only so good because she DIDN'T get care and attention put into her. She's a fluke. Like most of the great side characters in the show. Love to Viney as always.

Okay- What do you think the team’s safe foods are, and what do you think are their trigger foods? <3 ~L
Tweak's safefood is easy: Carrots, and anything carrot flavoured. As for her trigger foods, she seems to dislike overly sweet things. In the monarch butterflies episode in AnB S2, they offer her some milkweed pollen. Milkweed is generally very poisonous, but it's actually not poisonous to bunnies specifically. Despite this, she takes a quick whiff, and recoils, twisting her ears, as if it smells bad-- but real milkweed smells sweet, almost like vanilla. So sweet things are probably a trigger for her. (which is really interesting to me; because Tweak seems to prefer really intense sensory input otherwise.)
Kwazii's the opposite, as seen in his strong taste for anything sweet, like: strawberry flavoured kelp, pie, marshmallows, ice cream, and fish biscuits. Kwazii hates licorice, which is usually very sweet as well-- but can sometimes be so sweet, that it actually tastes bitter. So bitter things, plus anything citrus (because he's a cat), are probably his trigger foods.
Barnacles' favourite dessert is canonically vanilla kelp pudding, and his favourite flavour of kelp cake is also vanilla, so he probably enjoys foods with simple flavours, and soft textures. This makes sense since most foods that we'd consider "spicy" don't grow much in the Arctic, unless they're imported. Plus he probably grew up on a militant-style diet, so it's just what he's used to. I'd imagine his trigger foods would be anything overly sour or hot.
Shellington likes,,,, strange foods. He likes extreme flavours, and often mixes up different foods to make up new weird combinations, seen in that one episode where he mentions putting "too much" hot sauce on his kelp cakes. There probably aren't that many foods that he isn't willing to try, but we do know he has an allergy to red urchins; which technically fall under the shellfish allergen category, and are known to taste very salty-- like the ocean. So he may avoid salty foods, because they remind him of urchins/shellfish.
Peso likes spicy food. Like, REALLY spicy food. It reminds him of home. He canonically enjoys peppermint as well, and I think it would be funny if he secretly really liked sour things. He has surprisingly strong taste buds, and like Shellington, he’s probably willing to try a lot of different things. He likes “exotic” foods that the others find strange. I can’t think of anything that might be considered a trigger food for him.
Like Kwazii, Dashi's favourite flavour of kelp cake is also strawberry, so she likely has a big sweet tooth, too. Or she just likes pink foods in general, that's possible. I knew someone once who only ate yellow things. Other than that, I’m not really sure for her 😅 She might not like sour foods-- I get that vibe from her.
Inkling is a VERY picky eater; he’ll only ever eat his own or the Vegimals’ cooking, and he prefers bland food. He might eat Min’s food. Maybe.
#octonauts#food cw#ask#kwazii carries an emergency biscuit on him at all times in his boot#and barnacles likes peas. they taste good.#also im now thinking about how many cats probably have scurvy in the octonauts universe. because the cure for scurvy is oranges.#and all cats hate citrus with a passion.#anyway rip dashi. she can eat anything ig she has unstoppable power <3#vague spoilers#for the monarch butterflies ref
