Random Lance Headcanons I Came Up With For a Friend When I Was Having a Sugar High Higher Than Mt Everest
Enjoy my borderline psychopathic rant. This is basically hcs about Lance (either ANE or TO, but I'm having a major TO craving lately so I had him in mind with these) if he went through what I was going through lol (aka high on so much sugar it might as well have been crack).
This has very minimal editing. I came up with these as an energy release one night and then decided to post it later because why the f not. I'd say it's decent content lol.
~Under the cut~
Purrs - it's low and deep in the chest but loud af
Only happens when he's happy/content
Vibrates, especially when he purrs
Like, a whole body vibrate
It feels like tremors
Maybe they are tremors? I call it vibrating
It's from the ridiculous amount of energy going through him. He can't sit still
Wants to attack EVERYTHING
But not like ATTACK attack
Sorta roughhouse and/or subdue
Think of a cat on catnip
Burrows
Burrows like a fucking prairie dog
Not on the ground, the ground is dirty
But burrows in the bed, the couch, ANYWHERE SOFT
Basically makes a pillow fort without the logical engineering of one
Pillows, blankets, EVERYTHING IS STOLEN
And he'll just wedge himself in the mountain of softness and eventually a burrow opening will appear and somehow it'll eventually have a sound internal structure despite looking like a mess from the outside
Man is making a fluffy cave
The purr, vibrate, burrow trifecta commonly goes together
If he's burrowing, you'd bet he's also purring and vibrating inside that soft mountain
Don't expect him to leave his burrow
He won't leave his burrow for SHIT
Bites and holds
This is mainly for his partner
He gets clingy and if they're close by then he gets all happy and gives affection nips and won't let go for a while sometimes
Clings, doesn't let go
Hisses and burrows and flips and rolls as he burrows (cat much?)
Will tunnel beneath blankets, steal something from bedside table, hide beneath blanket again
Will steal you beneath the blankets too if you approach and ask or tease
Not very horny, just clingy
But clingy can easily lead to horny
NUZZLES
Nuzzles like a fucking KING
Nuzzles and nips gently
Gives bone crushing clingy hug and holds
If startled, will jump, hunker down, stare with wide eyes then scamper away
Will not leave his burrow for anything
Can maybe be tempted out to steal a pretty maiden (you) seducing him, but will be back within one minute with said maiden
If anyone except his partner witness him in such a moment as these he will freeze, stare, maybe scamper
Will observe his partner while bundled beneath the blankets (his burrow) for hours
Get too close and he'll steal you under
Might steal something you put in arm's reach nearby and act like nothing happened
Get too close and he'll steal you too
He'll steal you if he gets a chance, every chance, ANY CHANCE AT ALL BEWARE
Likes to be shirtless and brush against things
It's a territory scent thing
Plus the faint scratch feels good
Curls around almost anything he can get his hands on
Give him a fucking pillow, he'll curl into a ball around it
A blanket? Might as well be a pillow. He'll ball it up and curl around it
A coffee mug? He'll hold it to his stomach and curl around it (but won't be pleased at how small it is)
Just imagine it's like a cat laying on its favorite toy all day. That's this guy
Yes I know I'm referencing cats a lot. It's because dragons are basically scaley cats when spazzing out and nobody can change my mind
Will maybe hide under the bed and chirr
A chirr is like a purr except high pitched
Still loud af
Dragon nesting habits lol
Will steal you under bed too if you get on his level
Likes high up places though
You'll catch him on the rafters in the room, peering down from above
Will randomly disappear
Then reappears somewhere else in the room and just s t a r e s
If he scampers away from a random someone else he will return a few seconds later and scamper away with his partner in his arms

could you pls write some soft winteriron where buck is teasing tony bc he thinks tony has the cutest nose, especially when he’s sick
"Do you have a preference between The Holiday and Love Actually?" Tony asks Bucky seriously. He sniffles, then sighs and rubs at his nose with a tissue. The last thing he'd wanted was to be sick for his visit to Indiana for Christmas, but the constant travel and work stress apparently had other plans for him. So, instead of walking around and seeing the Christmas lights, or going to the Shelbyville Christmas Parade Bucky had told him about, they're sprawled out on Bucky's couch. There's a box of tissues beside them on the couch, a little trash can parked next to it, and at least five empty cups and mugs scattered along the coffee table.
Which, okay, is far from the worst outcome Tony can think of, but still. He feels a little bit like the Grinch, ruining their Christmas plans with his stuffy nose and sore throat, even if it is out of his control.
"Don't you hate Love Actually?" Bucky asks, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, yeah, but you don't, and since I'm already making you miss—"
Bucky cuts him off with a kiss. "You're not making me miss anything, alright? Only thing I really wanted to see this Christmas is right here," Bucky says, poking Tony in the side.
Alpine meows from her spot on the floor, jumping gracefully up and onto Tony's lap as if to agree with Bucky.
"Hey! Don't side with him," Tony huffs, but he can't help but smile when she butts her head against his hand, asking to be pet. Tony pets her ears and rubs her chin.
"She used to be my cat," Bucky says mournfully, watching them. "She's all yours now."
Tony scoffs. "Please, it's because I'm the visiting guest who spoils her."
"A visiting guest," Bucky repeats. "Come on, Tony, you're more than that and you know it. Hell, she even knows it."
It's true, deep down, Tony does know it. By now, Indiana feels far more like home than New York does. Someday soon he'd get out of his own way and tell Bucky exactly how he feels, but for now... well, for now, if he has to be sick over the holidays, at least he can do it with Bucky here beside him.
Before Tony can say anything, though, his nose twitches and he has to duck away to sneeze a few times.
“uhhuhhCH’ushh! uhh’Tsschhuuh! Heh! huhTCHsssh!"
"Honey... bless you," Bucky says, leaning in and brushing a kiss across Tony's nose.
"Thanks," Tony sighs. "You're going to catch this, and then you're not going to be half and nice as you're being right now."
Bucky smiles. "I'll be more pleasant than you I think, our resident grumpy sick person," he says. "Hey, maybe what we should watch is Rudolph." Bucky taps Tony's nose gently, which makes Tony's nose twitch all over again and his eyes flutter shut.
"Funny. L-look what you did... Hh! Hdt-Itshh! uhhuhhCH’ushh!”
"Sorry," Bucky says, smiling, though he doesn't look sorry. "You look cute, that's all."
"Hmmb, Snf! Reindeer? That's your thing?" Tony huffs, tugging the blankets up around him again.
"You're my thing, doll," Bucky says. He tucks himself in around Tony, not even complaining when Tony presses his cold feet against his calves. "Red nose and all."
Tony can't help but soften just a little at Bucky's words, snuggling himself in closer to him and melting just a little when Bucky wraps his arms around him, pulling him in close.
"C'mon, let's watch The Holiday, it's been what, a whole week since we've seen it?"
"You love it," Tony says, pressing play. He tucks his face back in against Bucky's shoulder.
"Not quite. I love you, though," Bucky murmurs, his voice soft in Tony's ear. Tony's still not looking at him, but his heart gives an uncontrollable little whoosh in his chest.
Terrified as he's been to say those words, to say any of it out loud, it feels like a relief, like the best possible Christmas gift to look up at Bucky and himself say I love you, too.

FluffyNight - Beauty and the Beast
Written by @roku-mtg (read the original in Vietnamese on Wattpad here)
Translated by me (but it was my first translation from Vietnamese to English so Roku help me editing it)
From translator: This is a gift from Roku on my birthday, I really enjoyed it and decided to translate it into English. This is my first time I tried to translate a story from Vietnamese to English so it may have some mistakes. Hope you will enjoy it.
From writer: I’m not a big fan of neither Dreamtale nor FluffyNight so the characters can be ooc at some point. Thank you for reading.
Ccino gazed her eyes through the window, wistfully staring at the white snow. The window was huge, unlike the old door at her house, though, those cramped feelings still hung on her head.
Ccino suddenly missed her kittens, her chubby and fluffy kittens. It's been days that she hadn't cleaned up her house, coffee beans stayed ungrounded, and her little shop was still closed. Her kittens could probably find food by themselves, they looked fat, but they are smart one. She'd just wished to see them. She longed the scent of coffee, of sugar and milk, the excitement in her coffee shop when villagers came to enjoy her drink.
She sighed. The boredom hadn't gone away, making her yawn.
"Yawning like that in my castle, how graceless are you.”
Getting caught by all sudden, Ccino was a bit embarrassed. She immediately recognized that scary deep voice. She turned around and saw Nightmare standing next to to door, crossing his arms. He got a strange expression on his face, but Ccino was sure he'd just wanted to tease her.
Three days ago, she came visit Nightmare. Abruptly, a snowstorm arised and covered the castle with a white and thick blanket. Since then, snow had been falling nonstop, not letting her go home. She could only wonder if her house was swamped in the snow.
"Haha, was that too savage?" Ccino shrugged, let out a small laughter.
Nightmare smiled, slowly came by her side and sat down.
"You like staring into nothing, huh?" He asked, pulling Ccino into his arms.
Nightmare couldn't simply leave the castle and his servants. Plus, Ccino never wished to quit her coffee shop. Thus, they decided to visit each other after work, usually it was Nightmare. The villagers were scared of him, still. Nevertheless, he didn't find it matters, and would visit her anytime he liked.
"It reminds me the past." She let her body relaxed, surrounded by Nightmare's tentacles.
Nightmare's curse is eternal, everlasting, even if he found the true love, he remained the same form of a beast. Though, Ccino seemed to prefer it to a happy ending, he's a big guy, and his tentacles were much useful, they helped her make coffee and clean up the shop.
Their story was a bit different from the told fairy tale, however it didn't bother Ccino even a single bit.
"The past... my apology." Nightmare felt into contemplation, caressing Ccino's back.
Ccino smiled softly, shook her head with tenderness.
"It's okay now."
"But... I mean, I locked you in this castle just because I was selfish and cowardly…."
"Cheer up, Nights! The past is the past, I'm here with you!"
Ccino violently patted him back, making him startled. Finding discomfort in it, he rolled his eyes.
"Also... It has been a long time."
"... just a year."
"That's long enough! It is enough for a coffee harvest and a bunch of kitten' litters".
"You..." Nightmare didn't know to say anything. If it was before, he would get so mad, he would yell at everyone and tore everything apart.
Ccino hummed happily when looking at her tamed beast. She may can't be so charming and talented as Belle, he may stay in this disgusting beast form forever, but that was all enough for their happy ending. Ccino felt like having the most arrogant, cockiest cat snuggled around her feet.
She leaned closer to Nightmare, she soon found herself drowsy. Nightmare's already got used to it, she dozed off while working all the time.
Ccino yawned again.
"How impolite."
"I do what I like!" She jokingly snapped back.
"You do what you like. Just sleep, I will carry you to the bed later."-Nightmare leaned closer, wrapped his tentacles around Ccino.
"Don't forget, okay?"
"I swear."
"As I recall, your swear isn't so trustworthy." Ccino remembered the time Nightmare promised to take her brother back home safely, but eventually threw him out the castle with a horse. Unbelievably, even the servants were surprised, he agreed to free Ccino's brother, and she had to stay here in exchange.
"You can't shut your mouth for a single second, can you?" Nightmare hissed, though his voice remained hoarsely.
"Probably so..."-She lost her strength, falling into sleep.
Nightmare glanced at his love sleeping peacefully in his arms, didn't realize a brief smile appeared on his cold face. Ccino was a miracle, trapped in this doomed place. She met him, made friends with him, read books for him, even loved him. Nightmare always feared he didn't deserve to have someone wonderful and beautiful like her stay by his side. Thus, he was trying, trying every day to finally find himself deserve her love.
*
*
Ccino jolted from sleep by the rushing stiff breeze and the shouting of the villagers with torches and axes in their hands. She was staggered, realizing she was on the roof of the castle.
"Nightmare!? Nights!!"-Ccino yelled in panic, suddenly remembered all of this.
Just as she thought, a grievous scream sorely ripped off the atmosphere.
It felt like something had pierced her heart. The Beast was screaming in agony, his tentacles began to upheave from his back, knocking Gaston out of the roof.
Nightmare fell and lied down motionlessly right in front of her eyes.
"Nightmare? Why...? Please... don't...." Ccino fell down to her knees, completely forgot reality. It was like she had to lived in worst memory once again.
"I'm glad that... I could see you again... Ccino." Nightmare said with his eyes shut, the breathes started to feel heavier and gradually separate from each other.
"Nightmare, I..."
Before she managed to speak, the last apple fell down to the ground.
She was too late.
Nightmare died, in the body he hated, from a life filled with sorrow and despair. All those years, he had accepted to live with loneliness, although the servants were always with him. Ccino came to his dark world with the stars and moon. She taught him to be a friend, to love, to show mercy, to control his anger.
She taught him to give it away, completely opposite from his selfishness he long had.
Yet till the end, it wasn't the curse that killed him, it was her. Ccino put her hand on Nightmare's chest.
"I love you, Nightmare."
She hold her beloved one in her arms, but she couldn't find any heartbeat.
*
Ccino woke up, her eyes were filled with tear, Nightmare used a warm towel wiped them away.
"Awake already?" He noticed her eyes staring at him was swollen from crying.
"... it was a terrible dream..." Ccino sighed in relived. She was brought back to reality. Both of them were in Nightmare's room.
"Oh? Want to tell me about it? By the way, the snow is starting to melt, you can probably leave tomorrow." He put the towel on the table. Ccino can feel the sadness in his voice.
"I dreamt you died."
"That's a very consice story—"
"Died in pain! Screeching! Because Gaston stabbed you!"
"Well, yes, but—" "
"Just thinking of it make my heart crash. I couldn't even say a word, and the last apple had already fallen!"
"You surely know the truth is—"
"Then I hold your body in my arms... weird dream... Ha ha..."
Nightmare quietly waited for Ccino to finish, but he found nothing else. He came closer to hug her tightly, making both fell into the bed.
"Ccino, everything is real."
"How do you know?"
"...do you want to know?"
Nightmare laid his body onto Ccino's and let their lips meet. His tentacles reached the lamp and shut it off.
The happy ending for "beauty and the beast" was already in her hand.
Maybe Ccino would stay here a little longer.

Epilogue:Another One
Sunlight hits his face as it streams through his bedroom window. Kenma groans and tries to roll over from his current position on the bed, but finds that he has difficulty moving. He blinks his eyes open and then looks down, only to see a pair of arms draped around his waist, holding him tight. His thoughts begin to drift and he sighs fondly, remembering that he is no longer sleeping alone again, because after long weeks alone in a large house, Kuro is finally home.
Kuro had to go on regular trips away for the JVA, that was just part of the job description. Of course, this means Kenma is usually alone at their, yes it's officially theirs now, home. Getting Apple Pie, Pie for short, has been helpful to ease the loneliness. The calico kitten has been nothing but a rumble of energy and adorable, always there to keep Kenma company. But it didn't erase the loneliness completely, and there was just no feeling that could compare to having Kuro around.
But current events have allowed them more time together in the following months. With the V-League officially back in season, Kuro has been put in charge of attending those specific events. With most of the games being held in nearby stadiums, Kenma could actually spare some time to go watch them live with him. This was especially true when Shouyou was playing. The Jackals games were either watched live or in the comfort of their living room, at real time, while cuddled together. Kenma has never missed any of Shouyou's games.
It's been around six months since their messy confession, give or take. Six months since they came out to the public as a couple, and the start of their rollercoaster of a relationship. They didn't have the perfect relationship, Kenma thinks. They still had misunderstandings, and sometimes they argued about the silliest things. But they never went to bed angry at one another, never slept without trying their best to settle things, in a way that won't leave either of them struggling to pick up the pieces of the fight the next day. Overall, Kenma was content and happy, and he hoped that Kuro was too.
"Thinking about something?" Being stirred away from his thoughts, he feels Kuro mutter. The other's face buried on the top of his head, voice still groggy.
"Hm. Nothing important." Kenma replies with another sigh.
"Care to share then?" Kenma feels Kuro shift his position a bit, allowing the smaller male to turn around and having them face to face, before once again feeling Kuro's arms around his waist. "I'm a very good listener you know."
"I was thinking of replacing you." Kenma states in a deadpan voice.
Kuro gasps "Kenma! I'm offended! Only six months and you're tired of me already? Woe is me." Kuro tightens his hold and touches their noses together. "So tell me then, what do I have to do to regain your favor?"
"You can get up and make breakfast." Kenma states. "And maybe I'll reconsider."
Kuro immediately grins. "I knew my cooking was good for something. Here's an idea, you stay here and get some more shut eye. I'll make sure you have something to fill your empty stomach in a bit, yeah?" Kuroo starts to get up, slowly untangling himself between the mess of limbs the two of them are in. But Kenma immediately stops Kuroo and keeps him in place. "Kenma?"
Kenma buries himself between the blanket and Kuro and snuggles closer. "Ten more minutes. Please." He just isn't ready to leave this warmth just yet.
He feels Kuro place a kiss on the crown of his head, and hears the other give out a small chuckle of amusement. "Of course kitten, whatever you want." Kuro slowly settles back into his previous position. And it doesn't take long for sleep to overtake him again, filled with complete contentment and bliss.

When Kenma wakes, it's to his stomach rumbling and the wafting smell of buttered toast and sizzling bacon. He slightly sniffs the air before opening his eyes and sighs in disappointment that he can no longer feel Kuro’s warmth beside him. Kenma allows himself to yawn and stretch before he rubs his eyes to force himself awake. He puts on slippers and pads out of the room, straight to their connected dining area and living room.
He stops mid-step and blinks when he sees Kuro standing there, cup of coffee in one hand, and cat food on the other.
"There you go buddy, must be tasty huh?" Kuro crouches down to place a generous amount of cat food into Pie's bowl. The kitten gives a pleased meow. "Yeah, yeah. I don't want you ever complaining to Kenma that I starve you, you hear me?"
"Meow" Pie continues to stare at Kuro with wide eyes.
"No! You are not getting any more this morning. We want you well fed, not extremely chunky!"
"Meow" came with marching padding at Kuro's feet.
"I know there's nothing wrong with being a chunky cat! But you're young and we have to make sure you eat healthy first, then maybe we can get you a nice piece of fish for dinner, how's that sound?"
"Meow!"
"I knew you'd see it my way. Now, go get your breakfast!" And Pie saunters off to her bowl and just about devours her meal.
Kenma smiles at the domesticity of the entire scene. Kuro having an entire conversation with their cat, completely unaware, with all his barriers down. It reminds Kenma how easy it is to just fall into normalcy with Kuro, even with their new relationship. It's as if nothing and yet everything has changed all at once.
"You know, I can't believe you lost an argument with a cat."
Kuro immediately turns to face him and grins. "Excuse me, I did not lose. We just happen to reach a healthy compromise." He places his coffee mug down on the table, and starts to pour Kenma a cup of his own. He motions for Kenma to come over, and the gamer complies, ready to get his dose of morning coffee.
"She got her way. You're giving her fish for dinner, it'll be your fault if she turns into a spoiled cat."
"Oh come on, don't pretend that you don't sneak her pieces of your dinner from under the table." Kuro grins at him as he slides Kenma's plate of a healthy breakfast.
He doesn't have a retort to that. because yes, he does shove Pie bits of his dinner from under the table, but Kenma would never just admit that and let Kuro win that easily.
"I'll take your silence as an admittance of guilt." Kuro tells him. "But don't worry, at least you know she's got both of us wrapped around her finger...or is it her paw? That just doesn't sound right."
Kenma smiles again as he shoves a piece of bacon in his mouth. He's too focused on his breakfast; that when he looks back up a while later, he sees Kuro staring from across him. The taller male's resting his chin on one hand, finished coffee mug on the other, and looking at Kenma with a look that seemed like he hung the stars.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Kenma asks.
"Like what?"
"Like that. Like....I don't know, like I'm some kind of mythical creature. Or like I'm the best thing you've seen all day." Kenma clarifies with a raised eyebrow.
"You are though." Kuro says with a smile so soft, Kenma kinda wants to slap that look off his face.
"I'm what?" he asks again.
"Best thing I've seen all day. Best thing in my life actually." Kuro says with the smile never leaving his face.
Kenma's face burns, he looks down and aggressively stabs the next chunk on his plate and shoves it into his mouth. He hears Kuro guffaw at this, and feels his face get even hotter. "You know kitten, any more and you'd put our old Nekoma jackets to shame with that shade of red."
"Shut up Kuro." Kenma mutters while he throws a glare at the other's direction. Kuro just continues to smile, already knowing that there isn't any animosity in that look.
The remainder of breakfast passes in comfortable silence, moments with Pie inserted in between. Once they're done, they do their part to clean up, and then start their other routines for the day. Kenma goes back to his room and begins to focus on paperwork with Bouncing Ball and his upcoming stream, and Kuro goes to his own room to have a meeting with people from the JVA.
It's pretty much routine at this point. Their jobs often being the reason why they can't always spend time together 24/7. But Kenma likes to think it contributes to why he loves Kuro so much, loves being with Kuro so much. His relationship with Kuro was never something that followed a certain set of standards or locked in a set of rules. They didn't have to always see each other to be happy, they didn't have to always physically be around one another all the time to be together , and they didn't require a regular update on each other's business every time. They also never deemed it necessary to be overly public about how they felt, at least not by their standards, which probably contributed to why they took so long to acknowledge their feelings in the first place.
Theirs is more a quiet, straightforward kind of love. One filled with silent affirmation, affection, comfort and just being there when the other needs it the most. Kenma was never loud to begin with, always just observant and aware, but he never had to be for Kuro to know how he felt. Years of knowing each other has ultimately made Kenma realize that it's always, ever, been Kuro. And it always will be.
Later that night, as the day ends and they snuggle together on Kenma’s large bed, Kenma’s thoughts drift to how lucky and content he is. Pie has chosen to sleep in between them on the bed tonight, positioning himself slightly, just on Kenma’s stomach. He thinks of his little family that they have built together and wonders about the future they have.
"Hey." Kuro whispers, the man's hand stroking Pie's back, coaxing the kitten into a deeper sleep.
"Hm?" Kenma tries his best not to squish their furbaby while snuggling just a little closer to Kuro.
"We should get Pie a companion, don't you think?" Kuro asks him.
Kenma raises an eyebrow questioningly. "You want to get us another cat? Why?"
Kuro shrugs "I think it'd be nice to get the little guy a friend that's all. And don't you want Pie to have a friend?"
"We aren't getting another cat." he tells the other. Kenma is trying to dispel this impulsive decision, and it has nothing to do with the fact that he would absolutely adore another cat. Kuro simply grins and their debate that night ends at that.
Three days later though, Kuro enters their home with more cat toys, another bag of cat food, and a small burmese cat following behind him.
"Kuro. What's that?" Kenma stares, and gives the other a look .
"... Not another cat?" The taller male says sheepishly, as he slowly sets the purchases down.
The black burmese cat then pads over to Kenma and goes in between his legs. It's only then that Kenma notices the wet fur and shivering body. He bends down to pet the small creature and unknowingly smiles as he does. It then pads over to Pie who is observing at the corner of the room, and begins to nuze the other kitten. Kenma sighs in defeat before looking up to see a triumphant grin on Kuro's face.
"Hey in my defense, I went to the store to get more cat food. This little guy just followed me home." He raises his hands in resignation after he puts down all his remaining purchases. "And it was raining Kenma! I couldn't just leave him there!"
"Good on you for saving the cat. But we can't keep him Kuro. We're busy enough as it is and we already have Pie to take care of. We'll get him cleaned up and take him to the vet then find him a good home. Maybe Bokuto and Akaashi will want to take him." Kenma stands up and gives his pants a pat down. He desperately tries not to look at the new cat too long, or he's sure to cave into the request.
When he looks up, Kuro is right in front of him. "Aww can't we keep him?" Kuro loops an arm around Kenma's waist and touches their noses together.
Kenma glares. "I know what you're doing. And it's not gonna work Kuro."
"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about." Kuro says with a smirk.
"We aren't keeping him." And again, Kenma tells himself that this isn't exactly because he doesn't want to, but that he's trying really hard not to give into temptation, and be the responsible adult in this relationship.
"We can afford to get another cat though right?"
"Well, yes we can."
"And we love cats"
"We do." He bites his lip at this. Damnnit Kuro.
"So we should definitely keep this one."
"No we won't"
Kenma realizes at this moment that he's a liar. Because he never really could deny Kuro, just like Kuro couldn't very well deny him. And when it's all said and done, and they wake up the next day and watch as their cats are also cuddled together, Kenma can't really complain.
Their newest addition to the family fits in with them perfectly. Like two pieces of a puzzle and two halves of a whole.
Just like Kenma and Kuro.
Always together, no longer alone.
So yes, Of course they keep the cat.
I added a second chapter to my previous KuroKen fic. This one is just pure fluff 🥰

Chapter 11
A Reunion to Cherish
Alec woke up to the sound of the television playing in the stillness of their home. He blinked a few times to adjust to the brightness. When he was back in his senses he realized that they fell asleep on the couch while watching the movie and his warlock was sound asleep making his chest as a pillow. A blanket was covering both of their torsos. He looked around and realized it was around midnight.
Reaching for the remote, he switched off the television then tried to move his warlock without disturbing his sleep but failed in doing so. He sighed then reached for his stele and activated his strength and flexibility runes, then carefully wrapped his warlock in his arms, picked him up, and went to their bedroom.
He placed him on the bed, then got on the bed and wrapped his arms around Magnus' waist tightly, cuddling as close as possible, feeling the warmth of their bodies which he knew will miss the next few days. With that in mind, he dozed off within minutes.
______________________________
Alec woke up with the feeling of the most gentle feathery touch around his temples, he bit the inside of his cheeks to suppress his smile knowing really well what his warlock's doing. Even though he knows it's wrong to let Magnus think he's sleeping whenever he plays with his hair, he always loves it whenever his warlock does that. But this time he wants to be a tease.
"Love doing that with my hair?" He said in a husky and sleepy voice, eyes still closed.
Alec slowly opened his eyes slowly only to find a deep red blush creeping on that beautiful makeup-ridden face. He smiled helplessly, that was the most beautiful sight he had ever woken up to.
Magnus quickly buried his face in the pillow, too embarrassed to say anything when he felt a tender touch and a gentle kiss around his neck.
"Morning, love," Alec said in a rough morning voice. When Magnus didn't respond, he tried again. "Don't feel embarrassed, Magnus. It's okay. And honestly, I liked it."
"How do you know?" Magnus asked, face still buried in the pillow.
"Know what?"
"That I'm feeling... embarrassed." He whispered.
A light smile crept on Alec's face as he stroked his soft black hair and whispered in his husband's ears, "It's written all over your face, Mags." Then kissed him on the nape of his neck.
Magnus raised his head from the pillow then looked at his husband who had pure love and reassurance filled in his eyes. "Not fair, Alexander." He pouted.
"Hello, there!" Alec smiled and locked their lips in a soft, gentle yet passionate kiss. They broke their kiss after some time and Alec wrapped his arms around his warlock tightly. Magnus was happy to oblige but confused as well.
"Don't you have to be at the institute?"
"Not today, as I have to leave for New York. Cat and Madzie will be here at 11 o'clock, we'll leave from here only."
"Oh!"
Alec looked at the clock only to find that it's just 8 in the morning. He looked at his husband whose face was now filled with longing and hurt. He sighed knowing that look really well. Scooting closer, he left a feather-light over his temple.
"Hey... I know what you're thinking. I can't force the thoughts out of your mind, but I can reassure you that I'm going to be completely fine. Please, don't worry about it, about me. I love you and you know that. I'm going to miss you." He said and gently pecked his lips.
Magnus gave him a light smile. He knew Alec had promised him that he wouldn't go on any hunts, but the feeling of losing him while he was away was building up strongly in his chest. He didn't know what this feeling was, couldn't put his hands on it, but it seemed like something bad is about to happen. But he didn't want to ruin the moment they were in.
"I know, I'll miss you too. Now, you go get freshen up while I start preparing breakfast." He was about to get up when Alec grabbed him and made him lay down on the bed again, snuggling close to him.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"Umm... Alexander, breakfast..."
"That can wait! We still have time, Mags. I want to spend time with you, cuddle with you as much as I can before leaving. So you're not getting out of this bed anytime soon. Now, come here!" Alec ordered and who was Magnus to say no to his shadowhunter. He simply nodded, snuggled closer, and buried his head in his husband's chest.
________________________________
It was around 10:30 in the morning, the husbands were in their kitchen preparing breakfast and Alec was all ready to leave for New York. Magnus prepared a pancake with caramel and chocolate syrup and hot chocolate with marshmallows dipped in it for his shadowhunter; one of Alec's favorite, and a simple pancake with chocolate syrup and hot coffee for himself. They were eating their breakfast when their doorbell rang. Magnus waved his hand to open the door.
Before either of them could greet their guests, a soft voice echoed their whole house.
"Maaagnus!! Aaallec!" Madzie ran towards their living room calling their names loudly again and again while Catarina was walking behind her smiling at the little ones' excitement.
Alec and Magnus walked out of their kitchen to greet the little package of excitement.
"Hey, sweet pea!" Magnus bent down to hug his favorite warlock then picked her in his arms.
"Maaagnus! I've missed you!" She said enthusiastically.
"I've missed you too, sweet pea!" He said and rubbed their nose softly, making her giggle.
Alec was standing there listening to their interaction with a wide smile as his husband had a look of genuine happiness after a long time.
"Aalleec!" She said while outstretching her hands towards Alec.
"Hey, my favorite sorceress!" He walked towards them and pecked her on the cheeks, making her giggle again.
"Aalec, you stay too please, we will all party and enjoy." She said in a sweet and pleading voice.
Alec looked over at Magnus and Catarina, then spoke softly. "I wish I could, sweet pea. Your Mom and I have some important work to complete and we'll party once I'm back. Okay?"
"Okay." She said in a sad voice.
"Hey sweet pea, don't get upset. We both will enjoy and party," Magnus said while swaying her in his arms, then whispered to her, "and your Mom won't be here to make complaints, neither Alec, we'll enjoy and party every day."
"I heard that Bane!" Catarina said sharply.
Magnus looked at her then to his husband who raised his eyebrows at him, clearly showing that he heard that too.
"I better not find this home covered with glitter when I'll be back, or I swear I'm gonna make you clean that without using your magic!" Alec said in an authoritative voice.
"Why are you both taking my class!? I don't break rules or make a mess!" Magnus protested.
Alec and Catarina exchanged a look then looked at Magnus making him gulp with nervousness, while someone was enjoying this a lot.
"Hey! Stop laughing sweet pea." Magnus put her down on the floor. "We've prepared your room, go and have a look at it, you know where your room is!" Madzie ran towards her temporary room leaving the three adults in the living room.
"Come on now, don't give me that looks both of you!"
Alec and Catarina sighed in unison.
"You better not spoil Mads behind my back, Bane!" Catarina said and hugged Magnus finally.
"Trust me, I won't! By the way, what's that?" He said, pointing towards a huge bag Catarina was carrying.
"Oh, That. Clave requested some ancient books. I don't know the reason though." She looked at Alec to take over.
Alec was confused at first but quickly understood that it was the book they will be needing for the ritual.
"Even I don't know, Jia's the only one who has information regarding this. She said she'll give the information at the time of the meeting itself." Alec said praying to the angels that Magnus will buy it and Thankfully, he did.
"Oh! All right. How long are you both gone, though?"
"2-3 days max," Alec answered.
"Alec, we should leave now. It's time." Catarina said knowing that the sooner they'll get this done, the better.
Alec nodded in response, then Catarina opened the portal for them. Alec gave Magnus a quick goodbye kiss, before stepping through the portal.
__________________________
The portal opened in front of the institute's gate, and they stepped out of it. Alec took in the scent of a familiar environment he was inhaling after a long time. It was only Izzy and Simon who knew about his visit to New York, for everyone else it's going to be a little surprise.
"I'll go to my apartment here and check more about it," she raised the book she was holding "and you go meet your family. Call me when this needs to be done while I finish my other business in the meantime."
Alec took a deep breath and nodded. "Thank you for your help, Cat. It means a lot."
Catarina gave him a warm smile and left. Now it's all on Alec. He took a few deep breaths then knocked on the door of the institute. He expected Izzy to open the door as she knew about his arrival but when the gate opened, the reaction of the other person was priceless and worth witnessing.
"ALEC! Wha... how... oh god!" Jace stuttered which was unlikely of him and hugged his Parabatai tightly, having a warm glow of happiness in his mismatched eyes.
"J... Jace! I can't breathe!" Alec tried to speak while trying to loosen the grip his Parabatai held him in. "J... Jace!"
"Sorry! Sorry! It's been a long time, bro!"
"I'm aware, now can I come in, or I'm not allowed anymore!?" He teased, earning a smack on the head from his Parabatai.
He glared at him then they walked into the Institute. As soon as they entered he heard a loud scream and shook his head.
"JACE HERONDALE! WHERE THE HELL DID YOU DISAPPEARED!?"
He exchanged a look with Jace as he entered the orbs' hall noticing the change in the place that happened over the years.
"Can you not shout at me and ruin my day, Izzy!" Jace said, slightly annoyed with his sister.
"Care to expla- ALEC!" She squealed and ran towards her brother, hugging him tightly.
"Did you forget that I'm coming, Miss Head of the Institute?"
"Well..."
Alec looked down at his sister, noticing mischief in her eyes, and he smacked her lightly on the back of her head. "Someone's that busy!?"
"Ow! Hey!"
He looked down at her while having a bright grin then kissed her on top of the head.
Jace was looking at them, mouth agape with a priceless expression on his face yet again.
"Izzy! You knew he was coming?"
The siblings broke their hug and looked at Jace.
"Yeah, I knew."
"Where are the others?" Alec interrupted, not wanting them to argue over something this small.
"Si is at his apartment, Clary is in the training room, Mom and Luke will be here in an hour, Max by evening, but Dad won't be able to come. I tried but he was busy. Catarina?"
He sighed. "At her apartment, running errands while I talk to you all. I hope dad can make it too."
Izzy gave him a reassuring smile while Jace listened to their conversation, a deep frown forming on his forehead.
"Okay, what is going on? Alec, why didn't your husband tagged along with you this time and why is everyone coming here!?"
Alec looked at his Parabatai then to his sister then to him again and sighed heavily before speaking. "Because there is something I want to talk about which needs all of your presence!"

The flower shop boy was minding his own business on a calm evening, the clouds had been around though it didn't rain and the flow of customers was even lower than usual. It didn't bother him, it meant he could get to looking after the magic flowers in the greenhouse at the back. Wearing a brown apron that had a pocket with scissors and a handkerchief, he gathered some roasted sunflower seeds for some visitors that resided in the green house. While he was working he heard faint talk from the front of the shop at the counter where Kihyun and Hyungwon usually switched shifts. He heard Kihyun's voice reassure and soothe someone, the urgency in his voice made it a dead giveaway that the customer wasn't here for purchasing plants or succulents or any of that sort. Hyunwoo quickly gathered the seeds and dusted his hands on the apron before heading around the back where he saw Kihyun had made the customer sit. "There you are Nu, I need you to aid this young lady with her issues please, it's your department. I would have stuck around but I have to make arrangements for today's tea. You can join us when you're done." And Kihyun hurried along. Yes the greenhouse was at a secret back side but it was like a magical maze it was larger than it looked and had a few different spots where sometimes the flower shop owners and their few friends had tea in the evenings and discussed matters not of this world. It was safe to say they all were variants of witches.
Hyunwoo's gaze lingered as he'd been looking forward to taking a break with the rest of them but he had an oath to his craftsmanship it was his duty to serve.
You sat there nervously waiting as you rested your palms in your lap for there was something in them. You heard the soft crunch of dirt as another boy stepped out to greet you. He was tall and strikingly handsome, he had a soft polite smile as he sat across you. His voice was soft when he inquired about your visit. Anyone who was told to wait back here meant they were not human so Hyunwoo determined it was some witchy emergency why you were brought here. You had waited for him to settle down and the words blurted out of your mouth immediately after, "It's my pocket familiar, she's sick, I've tried everything in the book but her fever won't go." Hyunwoo took a notice at your delicate soft features and the strain in your voice and he furrowed his brows putting aside his apron to ease in. You gently held out your palms to show a tiny pocket sized elven creature curled in a miniature blanket. You hesitantly put her in his palms and he inspected closely, "I believe it's just a common cold and maybe she's been playing out in the rain. I'll fetch you some herbs for medicines she should be fine. Sometimes they just need strict rest that's all." The little pocket bebe looked up at Hyunwoo with big eyes and felt warmth radiate from him which made her smile. "Seems like she likes you." Hyunwoo smiled seeing the girl before him a little relieved that it wasn't something serious. "Pocket familiars need warmth much like cats, here show me your hand if you may allow." He asked and you held out your hand which he took and you felt a surge of warmth flow into you, you were in awe of his skills and he let your little friend hop back onto your palms as she chimed feeling comfy." The brief moment of contact left a strange spark inside you both and you tried to avert your gaze because for some reason his presence gave you butterflies. He got up to fetch the medicines and while he was gone you noticed chatter from another end of the green house, a group of friends were gathered around for tea, they felt like your kind and having been a lonely witch you wished to make new friends to relate to but you were also very shy. The little pocket familiar took a notice to it and patted your hand gently as if saying she's her friend. You smiled warmly at how pure these creatures' heart's were. "How about we have cookies and tea when we get home, would Peony like that?" You hadn't noticed how Hyunwoo had heard you and found it so endearing the way you interacted with your bebe. "Here's all the dosage chart and herb bottles. I do hope you're not in a hurry?" he asked casually but he was trying hard to not to look like he was struggling with this. "I am not but it is getting late, I should be on my way." You were reaching for your little purse to pay when he urged. "Oh no no we don't charge for these services also uhm I heard your little one likes tea and cookies, would you mind staying for that?" Your heart raced at the way he asked so politely for you to stay for tea and you stuttered over your words, "S-sure I mean Peony would like that." By this point you and Hyunwoo both knew Peony was just an excuse to talk more with each other.
A younger boy with dark brown hair falling over his eyes brought out the tea kettle and cups with a jar of cookies and gave a courteous smile to you before heading inside. Hyunwoo thanked Changkyun and served warm tea as you sort of eased into your chair and looked around the beautiful greenhouse. There was faint sound of thunder that alarmed you and little Peony hid behind the cookie jar adorably. "If you don't mind me asking miss, what's your name? I'm Hyunwoo by the way but you can call me Nu." You smiled, a blush creeping upon your cheeks as you introduced yourself and your craft as a witch.
You and Hyunwoo got along really well just talking and chilling and didn't even realize how time just flew by, it was night when you realized you should be headed home. There were fireflies in the garden and crickets chirping as you got up and Hyunwoo you noticed went and grabbed his coat and you remembered being in awe at how handsome he looked in that burberry coat. "I'll walk you home Miss Willow, can't have you go alone this late." You put on your little sweater shrug and scarf and headed out. Peony was fast asleep in her little pouch that you hung around your shoulder. As you reached your apartment complex and stood outside the gate Hyunwoo nervously asked, "Uhm it was nice meeting you today, I was wondering if you'd like to grab dinner or erm I mean coffee sometime?" Your heart almost combusted for you didn't think things would get this far in your first meeting with someone who effortlessly swooned you off your feet but there was no denying there was something there. "Dinner sounds lovely Hyunwoo, I'm free tomorrow." You replied a little shyly but your smile was adorably wide and it made Hyunwoo feel comfortable. "Tomorrow at 8, I'll pick you up." You nodded and stared down at your feet letting it sink in but you didn't register when he approached you so close suddenly, "Have a good night~" he spoke in a hush and swiftly planted a kiss on to your cheeks before stepping away. You saw him disappear around the corner waving goodbye as you walked inside, once home you were in a daze and lay on your bed sighing, little Peony plopped on your forehead cutely. "I have a date I guess." You mumbled giggling while giving your little pocket familiar a little boop.

Hoseok waited patiently for you to finish your shower, sitting in the living room to get his heart rate down. He assessed the situation, he was now the owner of a hybrid, not only a hybrid, but one that has been through a lot and still manages to be completely innocent. He also assessed that he had absolutely no clue how to care for one. We're there regulations? Special diets? Oh no did he have to take you to get fixed? The actual thought of taking you to a vet had him experiencing waves of anxiety. He was so worked up that when you walked into the living room he didn't even notice.
"I'm finished" you say, and he jumps and looks up at you. You were clean, ears still slightly damp but had a small shine in the black and grey. Your tail, sticking through the baggy grey sweats, flickered nervously. Now that it was clean, be could see where the clumps had been pulled out. Some pink patches poked through and Hoseok's heart clenched uncomfortably at the sight, and he has reminded of your hands. He licked his lips, a nervous habit, and stood up and walked over to you. You watched him curiously,  and he hands came to your own, and you flinched slightly, but he turned them over.
The skin was a pale red color, the skin still freshly aggravated and probably caused pain. There were slight droplets of blood, but nothing to serious. "Does it hurt?" He asks gently, and you avert your eyes, staring down at your hands.
"No, it doesn't" it was a lie, that was obvious. Hoseok frowned, how many times had you had to keep your pain from Yeonsoo, afraid of being punished further.
"It does kitten, and if you're hurt you should tell me. You won't get in trouble I promise" He says, and you nod. He let's go of your hands, and goes into the bathroom, rummaging under the sink and pulled out a med kit. When he returned to the living room, you were still standing  where he had left you. He gestured to the couch, taking a seat. You hesitantly sat next to him, your tail curling around your waist securely. He opens the med kit and sets it on the coffee table.  He takes the opened box of gauze and antibiotic cream, and a couple of alcohol patches. You frown, seeing that everything had been used before.
"Do you get hurt too?" You ask, looking up at him. Hoseok shrugs, ripping open the paper of the patches and pulling out the potent cloth, the smell making you wrinkle your nose as it stung your nose.
"I get scratched a lot when I work with tools. I work as a mechanic and I'm bound to get cuts and bruises. This'll sting a bit, but it'll help" he says and presses the pad to your skin. You hiss, ears pressing flat against your head and tail clenching tightly. A small whimper followed as he wiped the other. Hoseok whispered out a couple of 'sorry' and 'it's okay you're doing great' and applied some antibiotic cream to them, which soothed the burn instantly. "I also used to race motorcycles, and I got road rash a couple of times" he added. You listened intently, your eyes looking up to his concentrated face. He wrapped your hands in the gauze, and when he finished, he gave you a small smile, which made you let out a small purr in thanks.
"Thank you master- I mean Hoseok" you correct yourself quickly and he laughs.
"No problem kitten. Now, there isn't much I can do for your tail, it's already healed" he says, and you glance down at your abused tail, and it flicks self-consciously. "But I'll ask Namjoon what I could put on it. His cat hybrid Jimin used to scratch his as a nervous habit before he was adopted, and Namjoon put something on it to heal the bare patches" he babbles.
"He would pull it when I wasn't paying attention" you told him, and he frowned
"Yeonsoo?"
"Yes. I would daydream, and if I wasn't listening or answer him, he'd pull it to get my attention. Or he did it if I messed up or did something wrong" your voice was quiet, and Hoseok wanted to comfort you, but he feared you'd flinch away if he tried to pet you.
"You don't have to worry about that anymore Y/n. Yeonsoo won't get his filthy hands on you ever again, not if I have anything to say about it" Hoseok says firmly, and a spark of warmth crept up his spine when you smiled radiantly at him. He returned a small one back."Let's get you to bed"
You had instantly curled up as soon as you fell on the bed, pulling the blanket over yourself and closed your eyes. Hoseok stood in the doorway for a moment. You looked so small, and the baggy clothes didn't help either. You just looked so fragile and he had the same urge to protect you like he did the first time he saw you. A lot has happened in in the past few hours. He made sure you were firmly asleep before walking down the hall and into his own bed to sleep.
There was a dilemma when he dressed for work in the morning. You'd be left alone, and he wasn't sure if he liked the thought of that. You laid out on the couch, stretching out in a cat-like way as you watched him throw on his uniform and pour coffee into a thermos as he rambled on about leaving you at home alone. He was a very interesting human, one that could keep his cool and act nonchalant one moment, and completely be flustered and inadequate the next.
"I don't mind staying at home alone Hoseok, honest" you peer at him from fallen on your face. Hoseok glanced at you, buttoning the navy shirt of his uniform and a piece of bacon dangling from his mouth. You giggled at the sight, and he quickly chewed the rest of the bacon.
"Are you sure? I feel guilty, I could take you in with me" he says, a bit to himself. You wrinkle your nose in distaste.
"No offense Hoseok, but the thought of spending the day in a shop that reeks of motor oil and sweat isn't my idea of a fun time." He laughed and you sat up, taking a piece of bacon and chewed it happily.
"Alright alright, I'm just nervous"
"Really? Couldn't tell. I'll be okay, I've been left alone plenty of times" you say, and Hoseok sighs, and nods
"Okay kitten." He nods, and walks towards the front door, but freezes and turn back around.
"What do you eat?" He asks suddenly. You cock your head at him, confused.
"Uh, food?"
"What kind? What do you like? Is there a certain thing I should he feeding you?" He asks
"Lots of kinds. I like fish, but not crabs. I can't have regular milk, the fat content makes me break out into hives and I get a belly ache. Ma- He always complained I was expensive and cost him money to feed. I like almond milk even though it has a weird after taste." You say. "And they have supplements for hybrids, like vitamins but I don't need themas long as I get plenty of meat and liquids" you say. Hoseok repeats this under his breath, and nods.
"I don't have any almond milk, but I have fish sticks somewhere in the freezer. But help yourself to the fridge kitten what's mine is yours" he smiles at the way you grin. "I should be home around 5 okay?"
"Okay Hoseok" You yawn, already prepared to take a cat nap in the patch of sun that peeked through his blinds. Hoseok chewed his lip, still unsure of leaving you alone, but you looked content enough, so he grabbed his car keys and headed out to the garage.
"I'm telling you Hobi, it's a piece of shit. I don't know why you continue to drive it" Kim Taehyung scrunches his nose when Hoseok pulled into the shop. "And it's hideous as well" Hoseok rolled his eyes, stepping out and running a hand through his hair.
"Tae, your specialty is muscle cars, not race cars.  So shut up about my baby she's doing fine" Hoseok pats the hood of his beloved car. No, it wasn't the one he raced with, but it was an older car, and he was attached to it, he better be he fixed it from the ground up. Sure it likes to stall when turning on and the paint needs a new coat, but it was his child. Taehyung chuckles at Hoseok's words, taking a drink of his Pepsi.
"If you call two seconds away from falling apart 'okay' then sure, it's just peachy"
"Don't you have someone's oil to change" Hoseok says hauntily, and Taehyung huffs and slinks back to the back of the garage. Hoseok pulled the buliten down from his desk, checking the recent repos and bring-ins of the week. There had been at least 20 cars repoed for missing payments, which meant 20 angry phone calls he wasn't ready to deal with.
He worked diligently, the garage kept busy with fixing cars and getting them out to their respectable owners, and Hoseok was busy trying to negotiate with angry customers about getting their cars back.
"All you need to do is go to the Repo office off of Dowchien Street and file some paperwork, and pay the fee to get your car back" Hoseok sighed as the old woman cursed him about how she was missing several doctor's appointments and having to take the bus to go to the store. "Ma'am I just take and hold the cars, you need to go to the head office to get it back" Hoseok pressed his knuckles against his skull, rubbing the area as he was cursed out more before the lady finally realized that he wasn't going to give her car back without visiting the office.
"She sounded delightful" Namjoon grinned at Hoseok in the doorway of his office. Hoseok glared up at him, standing and stretching.
"Oh yeah, if you like hearing about irritatable bowel syndrome and bunions needing to be removed" Hoseok shivered and Namjoon laughed. "Put me in a car and on a road any day this day job shit is killing me" He groans.
"You're the one who wanted to use the shop as a cover Hobi" Namjoon so wisely pointed out. "And you don't hate it either so quit your whining"
"No but I do hate angry people yelling at me for them not making car payments" Hoseok walked past Namjoon and entered the back of the garage. Taehyung and a couple of other employees bustled around repairing different aspects of the cars.
"Hmm if only everyone could see Seoul's Drift King now" Namjoon teases and Hoseok flipped him off as he reached into the mini fridge and pulled out a water bottle, taking a long drink. "So how's your kitty doing?" Namjoon asks
"Okay, I think. She's really jumpy, but she let me dress her hands, does that mean something?"
"Means she trusts you. Took me 3 months before Jimin would be in the same room as me. "
"She still flinches when I touch her though" he frowns
"Can you blame her? I'm not sure she's had a kind touch in awhile.  Give her time Hobi"
"You're right" Hoseok sighs.  "Do you still have that stuff you used on Jimin's tail?"
"Sure, I always keep some in case his anxiety acts up again. Why?"
"Yeonsoo did a number on Y/n's poor tail, she's missing clumps of fur"
"Asshole." Namjoon mutters darkly. "You should have seen him when you left. He got out of his car and vowed to exact revenge or some site evil villains say in the movies. But I'll bring a bottle over for you"
"Thanks, and I'm not too worried about him. I can handle him" Hoseok says.
"If you say so. We've got a new, ah, 'shipment' coming in on Tuesday, are to ready?"
"Aren't I always?"
Hoseok was relieved when he went home that night. He wondered if you were okay. Sure you've been left home before but it didn't feel right just leaving you to your own devices for the whole day in a new place. He stopped by and grabbed take out, not in the mood to cook anything for dinner. He parked in the garage and grabbed the take out, unlocking the door and entering the house. When he stepped in he sensed immediately something was off. It was too quiet. He frowned, glancing around the dimly lit hallway "Y/n?" He called out, inching into the living room. A creak had him on edge and tense. He grabbed a the baseball bat that leaned against the garage door, gripping it tightly as he entered the living room.
You were standing there, wide eyed and chest heaving with breath. Your fur was fluffed out to the max, and your eyes laid on the baseball bat. You wailed, throwing yourself to the floor in front of his feet and grabbed his legs. Hoseok yelped in shock, staring down at you.
"I'm sorry master I'm so so sorry! I w-was just walking and my tail hit it and it fell over! Please forgive me I know I'm a bad cat" you cried, pawing at his shirt and burying your head into his hip.
W-What? Y/n what are you talking about" he frowned, still confused. Your body wracked with sobs, your words incomprehensible. Hoseok set the take out on the counter and dropped the bat to the floor, the crash making you jump and squeak. He pried your hands from his shirt, and knelt down so you were face to face.
"Calm down Kitten, just tell me what happened" he says slowly, and you whimpered.
"The vase. I broke it. I'm sorry" you say, cheeks puffy and tear tracks down your face.  Hoseok looks over your head and sees the vase that had been sitting on his TV Stand was smashed on the floor in a thousand pieces.  His eyes widened and he immediately began searching your body.
"Are you hurt? You didn't cut yourself did you?" He asks. You hiccup, frowning
"W-what?"
"Did you cut yourself on the glass?" He demands,  checking for any sign of blood.
"N-no I- you aren't mad?" You sputter, frowning. You were sure you'd face punishment for breaking his possession. You hadn't even been here long and caused an accident, and you thought for sure Hoseok would be angry and throw you out.
"No I'm not mad Y/n" Hoseok sighs in relief. "I'm just happy you aren't hurt."
"But....but I broke your vase" you frown at him.
"To be honest, you saved me a terrible story to explain to my sister why I got rid of the ugly vase she'd gotten me for Christmas. Now I can say my hybrid accidentally knocked it over" he smiles and you frown
"So I'm not being punished?"
"No it was an accident Y/n" Hoseok frowns and you nod your head in understanding. "Are you hungry?'
"A bit" you admit.
"Good. I brought home take out" he says, standing up and grabbing a broom and dustpan before sweeping up the broken vase, careful not to miss any pieces that could imbed themselves into any soft fleshed feet. You watch him as he worked, still slightly expecting to get yelled at, but after a few minutes you relaxed when it appeared it wouldn't come. Hoseok pulled down two plates, piling on steamed rice and chicken and vegetables and a bunch of assorted foods he always got when he ate take out. He pushed the bigger plate towards you, and you eye it doubtfully.
"Why did you give me your plate Hoseok?" You ask, pushing it back to him. Hoseok shakes his head, pushing it back.
"I didn't. It's yours."
But there's more food on it" you frown
"Yes, I'm not too hungry tonight, and I got extra for you"
"All of it?"
"All of it" He says firmly. You nod, still unsure but when you began eating, it was difficult to stop with all the tasty things he had gotten you, but you didn't touch the gross smelling stuff on the side of the plate. Hoseok noticed this, as he ate the very thing you wouldn't. "You don't like Kim Chi?"
"No. It's gross and vile" you say firmly and Hoseok pouted.
"I'm not sure how we'll get along from now on, I love Kim Chi" he says, and affronted look on his face, but a glimmer in his eye showed that he was kidding,  and you giggled.
"I don't know, guess you'll just have to stop then" you smile mischievously at him and he laugh
"I don't think so kitten" he snorts and continues to eat. Oh god, he thinks, I think I can probably handle her.

Chapter 2 - Lydia’s encounter
BROTHERHOOD
Lydia woke up earlier than Stiles, so she decided to make coffee for them before she headed to work. Lydia worked in a small coffee shop named Smelly Cat. It was just a few blocks away from the apartment, therefore she could've slept until eight a.m. Even though, she wasn't earning big money, she grew to like the warm atmosphere of that place and felt just fine with working there. In her spare time, Lydia was teaching mathemathics to children because she felt a little guilty that Stiles worked harder for their comfortable way of life.
Lydia carried Stiles his favorite cup to bed where he had been still asleep, covered in blankets. She sat at the edge of the bed and laid her palm onto his shoulder. His eyes immediately shot up open as if they awaited some kind of danger. Stiles' gaze softened when he noticed Lydia by his side. He could have recognized the slight confusion in Lydia's gaze which followed with a simple question: "What's wrong?"
Stiles sat up and noticed his cup in her fingers, beginning to salivate over the hot coffee she held. Lydia handed him the cup, her questioning eyes never leaving his, though. He had a sip and swallowed the warm liquid down the throat.
"Nothing's wrong. Why?"
"Your eyes are swollen up. Like from crying," she said with a worried voice, touching his red-ish skin under the right eye. Stiles squeezed her hand and said with a chuckle: I must have sleep-cried when my body felt you had left the bed."
"Haha, funny."
...
Later that day in work, Lydia had a short break with her colleague and also her best friend, Allison. They sat down behind the coffee shop and Allison withdrew her package of cigarettes from her pocket. She handed one to Lydia who accepted it with a smile.
"So," Allison began, letting a cloud of smoke out of her mouth, "how's your fairytail relationship going?"
"It's alright. Well, you know Stiles... A sweetheart, really, but still protective about his past. I almost feel like I'm in a cheesy fantasy novel for teenagers. But yeah, I suppose it's nothing serious."
"You may have an own Edward at home and you just let it go?"
"I didn't say I let it go... I'm just giving him time."
"Lyds," Allison said, looking straight into her friend's eyes, "it's been two years."
"Shut up, Al. Look, we are planning a trip to Italy. A nice hotel in Ega Eggen. And I think that I'll find out something there..."
"Oh, really? How nice," Allison said mockingly with a sarcastic smile.
"Shut up, would you?"
"Whatever, hon." Allison rolled her eyes at the redhead but kept a smile on her face.
"What about you?" Lydia asked, changing the topic.
"Eh, not much. It's like guys don't notice me at all. I was thinking to try the gay thing or something."
"You can't just 'try to be gay', Allison."
"What do you know? I might have been gay all time along."
"Yeah, sure," Lydia scoffed and threw the cigarette on the ground, stepping on it with her shoe. "I'm going inside, what about you?"
"Yeah, me, too. Gimme a sec."
They went inside and began working again. It was a quiet day and there haven't been many customers, which meant ending earlier for Lydia.
"Hey, Lyds. Do that guy sitting at number four and then head home. I'll close up," Allison said, nodding to table four.
"Are you sure?" Lydia asked, feeling bad leaving her friend with all the work behind.
"Yeah, don't worry." She send a reassuring smile to the redhead and walked away to another customer. Lydia shrugged and approached the man who was reading a book whilst drinking his espresso. Her eyes fell on the red cover of the book. She couldn't read the title, though. The man must have noticed her standing by him for oddly too long because he lovered the red book and looked up at her with his dark eyes. A smile appeared on his lips when he saw Lydia's embarrassed gaze, realizing that she had been staring.
"I'm sorry," she laughed awkwardly, "I was just wondering what book you have here... Might have stared a bit, though."
"Oh, that's alright," he chuckled and ran his hand down his growing beard, "it is a novel by Henri Barbusse. Under fire. Must say that it isn't exactly a nice story to read but I find it rather interesting."
"Haven't heard of that, should I give it a try?" Lydia asked politely, her eyes scanning the table for any dirty dishes to bus.
"Well, you're pretty young, you better enjoy joyful literature," he said kindly, finishing his coffee," the coffee was quite exquisite. I'll be sure returning to this cozy place."
Lydia grinned at him politely and took away his empty cup. "We are looking forward to your next visit, sir."
Lydia returned to the bar where Allison was peeking at table four behind the coffee machine. She stopped the redhead and nodded to the man: "He's a candy for the eye, don't you think?"
"I guess, but I prefer clean shaven," Lydia said, remembering her boyfriend's face, covered in little cute moles. That was actually the first thing she noticed at him. The moles. But don't mistake it for a romantic fairytail. Lydia had met Stiles in a dancing club which was filled with people that night. Lydia had already a few drinks and she felt her barriers had fallen down. Her friends dragged her out on the dancing floor, although Lydia would had rather stayed at the bar for a few more drinks. But that didn't matter much, she danced anyways. Suddenly, somebody bumped into her and Lydia, not having quite a clear head, she grabbed the one's arm and began dancing with that person. That person ended up being Stiles and she had made out with him several times during that night.
Lydia shrugged at the memory and went to grab her coat to finally leave. She said a quick bye to her colleague and chose the back exit. It was already dark outside, even though it was just around five p.m. The redhead withdrew her phone from her small brown purse and began writing a short text to Stiles. Her attention was directed mainly to the small screen in her palm, therefore it was quite a surprise when she hit something in front of her. Lydia swiftly looked up from her phone to let her eyes meet with the gentlemans dark irises.
"Well, hello, again," he said with a soothing grin.
...
Stolos had been forcefully dragged out of his home, leaving the dead body of his father on the floor. The Romans weren't too kind to the children they gathered in the village, and Stolos found himself in a wooden cage within several minutes. He wasn't alone in the cage. There were two other boys who seemed undoubtedly suffering as Stolos did.
Both boys Stolos knew, but they didn't speak to each other anyways. They were in shock. Disbelief and maybe even denial. Not Stolos, though. The hatred against those men just grew inside Stolos and he knew that he will avenge his father one day. He would make them all go through agony and pain.
And that crucial decision influenced Stolos' whole life, but at that time, the young boy had no idea what his rage will do one day. So, he sat silently with the other children, watching the nature passing along while they traveled to the big city of Rome where they were supposed to be re-educated. They were to be Roman soldiers.
