making yourself comfortable on the couch of your guys' living room , giggling and kicking your feet , totally letting your guard down thinking your handsome boyfriend is still napping .

"I'm telling you tara he may look nice and gentle , but in bed?? noo that guy is the exact opposite of gentle , not that I hate it though" , this was a message sent to your best friend Tara while you girls were discussing how the intimate time with your boyfriends is like.

Xavier passes through the hallway and notices your little giggles and the way you were pretty glued to your phone's screen , curious , he enters the living room without you noticing and gets behind you , and yes he pretty much read everything before you finally noticed him standing behind your back .

you were met with his raised eyebrow and a look on his face that clearly says *really?* , "Xavier what--" he cuts you off "I'm the one who should be questioning you right now , don't you think?" he sighs and proceeds "honey ..what is that , that you're doing?" , you hide your phone behind your back , your cheeks heating up "I mean....nothing important? " , he sits besides you making sure to face you , "nothing important?" you could sense the teasing tone in his voice , he's mocking you "ok , ok i know it might seem weird but it's just tara you know ?" you say brushing it off, "lovely I know you're close with tara but.. to that extent?" he asks , "yeah don't worry it's pretty normal between us....I mean this isn't our first time talking about...this.." xavier raises his eyebrow again but this time in amusement.

"well then" he gets closer to you then raises your chin with his hand "why don't I give you two more stuff to talk about?" with one swift motion , he ripped the buttons off your shirt staring dangerously into your eyes while at it "you make sure you tell her exactly of what is about to happen to you" he mocks you with a wicked grin.

Zayne

You've been waiting for your husband to pick you up from your work place for quite sometime now , however, thankfully your best friend Tara decided to keep you company while you wait for his arrival.

and somehow your conversation had took a rather an interesting turn , "ohh zayne is almost never gentle during it" you say sighing then proceeding "but it is because I , most of the time , rile him up" you remarked proudly , tara gets intrigued "ohhh? do tell your secret" ,she gets closer eager to get some tips from you , "darling" a voice cuts you both off , and you both flinch at the sudden voice coming between you , "it seems like a very important topic you both are discussing , but I'm afraid we have to go home" he says this with the most normal collected tone ever , like you two weren't just talking about his habits in the bedroom , tara gets embarrassed and excuse herself , but she does shoot you a look of "good luck" before leaving you two to be.

on the way home zayne never mentioned it , in fact he was asking how was work today and some other normal questions , so the ride was quite peaceful.

however as soon as you guys are in the house , he finally comments "so I'm almost never gentle huh?" he says so out of the blue with a smirk on his face , catching you off guard , you were hoping he'd actually ignore it and never mention it "well? am I wrong tho??" you reply trying to save some face by attacking him , "no you aren't" he says simply , "but only because almost everytime you rile me up" he said emphasizing the 'you' in the sentence , "zayneee" you whine "stop teasing me ok? you might think it's weird but it's quite normal between girlfriends to.....gossip" you said the last word while hiding your face in the palm of your hands , he chuckles at your state , approaching you he grabs your hands removing them from your face to look at you all flustered , but you moved your gaze away looking at everything in the room but him , "darling look at me" he says gently , and you can't help but fold "I'm not mad , but in fact a little invested in what you tell her" now his tone changes from a gentle to a very teasing one again "I'm pretty sure you've told her about what makes you feel good" he whispers in your ears seductively determined on teasing you , you pause for a few moments but ending up nodding to him defeated , "well then I guess you have to tell me as well , providing me with specific details that is".

Rafayel

it wasn't weird for you that rafayel drags you beside him sometimes , when he wants to paint , he claims that he's able to concentrate better when you're by his side.

but the more your boyfriend painted, the more focused he became, giving you the perfect opportunity to answer the texts tara sent you earlier, unnoticed .

"so you were talking about how your boyfriend is such a tease huh?" tara's texted "yeah exactly , this man has no shame he'd tease me at his workplace sometimes" you reply not knowing that you were smiling unintentionally while writing this, "although i can't say I dislike the thrill that comes with it" you add completely absorbed in the conversation , not noticing your boyfriend who's been trying to talk to you for a minute now , he eventually gives up and snatches the phone out of your hand bringing it up to his face "what's got you so entertained that you forgot about my presence?" he said looking through the screen trying to identify the reason , "rafayel don't---" you said trying to get your phone back before you get busted

"too late my love too late" he winks then gives the phone back to you willingly "I saw everything" he says leaning back relaxed , totally unbothered , but rather amused , and this got you more nervous than you already were , you wanted to say something to defend yourself , you really did ,however you didn't find any .

"ohhh you poor little girl" rafayel mocks getting closer , "seems like the cat got your tongue" his hands are now resting on your hips feeling them up and down slowly "I should tease you like I always do" he parts your legs with a swift motion startling you "only then I could get your sweet sounds to come out".

Sylus

sylus was never the one to pry , but when he overhead you on the phone with tara , he raised an eyebrow.

he had heard some very interesting remarks coming from you , of how he left you breathless and weak in the knees last night , all described in thorough details .

You didn't even notice him standing in the doorway until his deep voice cut off your conversation .

"so that's what you tell your friends?"his tone was a mix of amusement and curiosity , you jumped , clutching the phone to your chest "uhh sylus....I didn't see you there" you said flashing him an innocent smile .

his gaze lingred on you for a while , scanning you , before speaking "I wasn't aware our nights were a topic of discussion between you two" he says crossing his arms.

you huffed , setting your phone aside still red faced , "well it's normal , ok??" you explained defensively "girls share these things with eachother , and tara is the one that I go to for....stuff".

"Stuff?" sylus repeated clearly enjoying watching you flustered , he moved closer backing you against the wall as he leaned down , his face inches from yours , "care to share exactly what kind of 'stuff' you told her?".

you tried to maintain your composure , but your face kept heating up at the memory of the stuff you told her "just ...you know??" you muttered, looking anywhere but his eyes , "no I don't know kitten , speak up" .

you huff again "I...might've mentioned...how rough you are" you admitted , voice barely audible , sylus on the other hand was satisfied with the answer "I see" he hummed with dark amusement , leaning to whisper in your ear "next time , I'll make sure there are a few things you can't quite put into words".

I got massive vampire vibes when I saw his teaser on IG, and while I am mildly disappointed that isn't the case, supernatural Yakuza isn't exactly bad either. Huge and has a bite meaner than his bark for sure, which I respect; would shoot someone point blank without letting them finish a dramatic ahh dialogue. Also has this weird duality of "I'm going to fuck you up" and "I dropped my monster condom that I use for my magnum dong." You know what? I can deal, he seems like a whole hoot and a half.

one thing i did not understand about the netflix series is why would they make wednesday so unapproachable. yes, wednesday & co. are supposed to be creepy and different. but they were always welcoming.

wednesday, while not exactly welcoming on the surface, did approach people. in the 90s movie she approached joel, in the animated movies she approached parker. so my beef with the netflix version is that wednesday basically acts entitled and hurts those that approach her (which btw, literally why do they do that in the first place???). xavier she called an elitist snob. she has beef with bianca just because she's popular. she manipulates and uses enid for the plot. the only characters that wednesday treats normal, like her previous versions, are tyler and eugene.

i would understand wednesday having beef with the ' normies ', because they treat her like a freak. that's pretty much what the addams family are, that odd family that does not follow traditional rules. icr where, but one version of wednesday did state something among the lines of ' i can see the majority sees my family as gulliable and odd and they take advantage of them so i must try to protect them because god forbid they gave a damn about who they welcome inside our home '.

so my headcanon is basically, wednesday doesn't hate bianca just because she's popular. she doesn't hate her in the slightest. she sees bianca as a worthy competitor from their very first sword fight & she takes the challenge when bianca poisons yoko in order to throw enid's team off. and when, in canon, they have that heartfelt conversation at the rave'n, it's genuine because they are friends. they challenge each other and grow. bianca doesn't bully wednesday and neither does wednesday bully bianca. let the girls be friends. they each have different qualities that the other could learn from.

another headcanon is regarding enid, my beloved. you can't tell me wednesday isn't appalled by her roommate. from the pastels reminiscing of her babysitter debbie may she rip, from the way she's the complete opposite of wednesday. wednesday needs enid. whilst i understand wednesday would put enid in danger, she'd make up for it. wednesday would treat enid as a friend. she would stick by her side no matter what and she would totally call out enid's mother. but she's not as oblivious as seen in the show. it's not despite all odds that they found each other, it's a choice. wednesday was put in the same dorm as enid, but the two of them do get along. their little brawls in canon? valid, they are bonding. but at the end of the day, wednesday chooses enid to be part of her life because of who she really is.

don't even get me started with xavier. she learns in episode one that the two of them are acquainted and during the next episodes suddenly he turns into an elitist snob? or was that wednesday projecting because that's clearly who she is. born into generational wealth acting like a brat. i'd rather wednesday say jokingly that the two of them are the elitist snob club sometimes and actually have them open up about what they do wrong because they both make a lot of mistakes with those around them. but wednesday would never insult him. she'd still ask him on the rave'n for the same cause as seen in canon, and those emotions you see in wednesday aren't because she's oh so torn between him and tyler, but because she never asked someone out. it's a new thing and she was genuinely not knowing how to do it.

i also have beef with how the addams family dynamics are but that's for a whole 'nother post. that's all that comes to my mind for now, folks. me vs. canon.

Remember It

I had a whole thing prepared and saved in drafts to continue after ep 5 but then I watched it and decided that particular post will have to wait. My thoughts on this episode are....well we'll get there. If you haven't watched it--Do that now because I'm not pulling any punches. Also this is very long so be warned.

As always I'm focusing on our Rogue and Remy moments. Those Jean/Maddy/Scott/Logan....that shit is not my concern. (Short answer it's messy as hell and I hate it.)

The episode starts with Rogue, Remy and Erik in the Blackbird heading to Genosha. Remy makes a comment about how long they are taking and Erik decides to remind Remy that the latter cannot fly. For what reason I don't really know, as if Rogue won't catch the Cajun. Rogue tells them to shut up and play nice. (good on her)

They arrive and Remy is unexpected again earning a comment from Erik. Soon after they are ambushed by Kurt (hell yes the fuzzy elf) who tells them that a lot has happened since they last saw him (though we are not granted the details). Kurt proceeds to show Remy and Rogue around Genosha. Here we get a glimpse of the mutant island. It's nice and everyone seems happy to which Rogue makes a comment about "him" being right. Obviously "him" is Erik.

We learn that apples apparently cost $10 to which Remy remarks on the price and Kurt brushes it off as a necessary evil (not his words). We then get more cameos of mutants (awesome btw) and eventually a long coveted Remy and Kurt scene wherein Kurt is everyone's favorite guy. He proves to be a "shipper on deck" telling Remy that Remy and Rogue belong together and they should cut the act and just get married. (Seriously I love Kurt. He rocks.)

Next up we have Rogue talking to Erik and learning that he wants her to rule Genosha with him (there's a whole scene with Moira, Emma Frost, Banshee, Sabastian Shaw, and Madylene). Rogue declines, offended that he seems to have set it up but Erik assures her that he didn't want this and that it was something Xavier would have wanted. He also proceeds to address Remy's feeling for Rogue as "you make broken men feel whole." She leaves to think about his offer.

She then goes to Remy and explains everything. She tells him of her past with Erik and how they had something special but it wasn't like Remy. Remy is understandably upset at the secrets, saying he was fine keeping things unofficial. She admits she loves Remy that he "lights up everything he touches" and that she "can't touch his heart." This leads Remy to tell her that "some things are deeper than skin."

She doesn't believe him and tells him she'll take Erik's offer despite not being in love with him anymore. Remy tells her that Erik will break her heart and that when he does, Remy will be there for her. Until then they shall remain as friends. (Seriously perfect this man.)

At the gala, where Erik is presented as the future of Genosha, Rogue makes an entrance as Remy watches. He leaves as Erik and Rogue dance, holding hands and being very physically intimate. He doesn't see that after a kiss, Rogue tells Erik that Remy was right- "Some things are deeper than skin." She leaves to find Remy.

All hell breaks loose as a massive Sentinel attacks. Rogue finds Kurt, injured and without her gloves she is unable to help her brother, Thankfully, Remy arrives and assures us Kurt is alive. Remy goes off to find the Morlocks and lead them to safety while Erik and Rogue help out where they are.

Remy and the Morlocks are attacked leading to a showdown where Erik is protecting the Morlocks and Rogue and Remy by keeping the latter two away from the fight. Erik fails and Rogue, grief-stricken, tries to attack the Sentinel, Remy stops her. The machine turns to a group of mutants, including Kurt and Remy charges in to save them.

He gets close but is impaled, at which point he says the title of the episode while charging the entire Sentinel- "The name is Gambit, mon ami. Remember it." Rogue finds him in a crater, dead- "I can't feel you."

Ok so more or less that ended up as a synopsis of the episode because the whole thing was basically about Romy. The Key notes we get are:

Kurt being a supportive brother and rooting for the relationship giving us a beautiful line "love is not without sin".

Rogue wanting to do what is best for mutant kind even if that means she cannot be with the one she loves.

Remy deciding that he can wait for her to be ready and will be her friend until that time comes.

Rogue deciding that Remy was right "some things are deeper than skin."

Erik accepting Rogue's decision and saving not only her, but Remy as well.

Remy proving that despite what he thinks of himself- he is a hero and a good man.

This episode broke my heart but handled the Erik/Rogue/Remy triangle very well. It is so mature in stark contrast to that of Scott/Jean/Maddy/Logan. Logan being the most mature person in that entire mess, knowing that Jean and Scott love each other and that he can be her friend. Cable (who was the orignial person in the series to say "My name is_. Remember it.) made an appearance confirming that he is Nathan and that he has already tried to stop the attack from occurring. We can only hope we get a chance to see him succeed and see Rogue tell Remy their love is deeper than skin.

Please give me more "Morph comes back wrong after Sinister" headcanons.

Thank you for giving me an excuse to talk about Morph! I don't really have super dark headcanons, just Morph having to come to terms with the fact that they'll never be quite the same person that they were before Sinister resurrected them and put them through a mental wringer. But it's going under a read-more, because I have way too much to say about this minor character.

In the show, Morph comes back with what appears to be two distinct personalities, like Good Morph and Dark Morph, and they are both fighting for control and maybe not fully aware of each other. Dark Morph was like a warped version of how Morph used to be, they are cracking jokes while attacking their team-mates, while Good Morph is just scared and confused. Btw, it's honestly impressive that Morph manages to basically run rings around all their teammates when they first infiltrate the mansion, while obviously having some kind of mental breakdown, and making up half their plan on the fly. They've got the advantage of surprise, but damn, they almost take everyone out, and only get found out because Wolverine can smell them.

Dark Morph seems to have come about because of trauma + Sinister fucking around. I kind of headcanon that previously, Morph was one of the peacemakers on the team. They probably had to be, in order to be close friends with Wolverine, and their joking around seems to be more about defusing tension than taking shots at people. At least prior to Sinister it was, Dark Morph gets nasty and they pull no punches. (I thought Morph was antagonizing Gambit in the first episode with "Don't worry Gambit, I'll go like this," but when I rewatched awhile back, I noticed Gambit actually grins in response. So maybe Morph was actually trying to joke away the tension of "Sorry I got picked for the mission and you didn't.") Exiles Morph also has being something of a people pleaser in his backstory - he spent childhood using his powers to maintain a human-looking form, and basically turn into whatever made the people around him happy. So I could see this being part of TAS series Morph's personality as well. I think Dark Morph happened in part because Morph could NOT deal with the feelings of resentment and anger that naturally arose from being abandoned on a mission. (And I'm sure Sinister gave them the worst possible explanation of what happened. "Your team left you lying on the ground like a piece of trash," rather than "Your team had to run because they were getting their asses handed to them by Sentinels.") I think Dark Morph was the feelings of anger and hate that Good Morph didn't want to accept or acknowledge, which was then exploited and exacerbated by Sinister.

I also think that Xavier's method of "fixing" Morph after they are rescued involved Morph having to confront and accept Dark Morph rather than just locking them away in their mind. Morph had to accept that there is a dark part of their psyche that is capable of doing terrible things, just like anyone has. (As Jean said, "We all have our dark days.") And the solution was basically the two personalities merging back together into a whole psyche. Of course, comics Xavier would probably just lock away Dark Morph like a band-aid solution, and Morph would have to deal with it later, but TAS Xavier actually seems like a decent guy. Just like TAS Beast, who is probably the best version of Beast at this point, he's become such a monster in the comics.

Morph still "hears" Dark Morph sometimes, like a nasty little voice in their head, but that nastiness is reintegrated into their psyche, not a separate personality that could take over. They don't like it, but they've learned to deal with it.

Morph absolutely had moments, especially when they were on the run after the team's first encounter with Sinister (first two episodes of Season 2) when they considered just ending it all. They felt that they had come back irreparably broken, that they should have stayed dead and their continued existence was a danger to their teammates. I think in those moments, Dark Morph was the one who intervened and keep them alive.

I actually have a vague idea for an X-Men 97 episode where Morph is temporarily possessed by Proteus (who in TAS is just a trouble kid who calms down after his father shows him some love). Exiles Morph was taken over by Proteus for awhile, and it was discovered that Morph's unique body type as a shape-shifter does not burn out like other hosts. So I can imagine something similar happening in TAS. Proteus, with a kid's logic, puts Morph's mind in some kind of pleasant dream, and assumes that's fine because Morph is "happy." And Dark Morph is the one to break through the dream and get Morph to properly "wake up." Dark Morph gives Morph a little speech about how they are a necessary part of their psyche. Basically, "You need me, I'm the one that protects you, I'm the one who gets angry on our behalf when you are too weak-willed to do it." If the writers want to be really "artsy" about it, the episode could start with Morph already in the dream, and follow their perspective. Dark Morph keeps trying to break through, and Morph is terrified, thinking that they are losing their mind again, only to wake up from the dream and realize that Proteus has taken over their body. Then Morph and Proteus talk things out, Kevin to Kevin, and Proteus agrees to leave, because TAS likes happy endings where things work out.

Courage mentions Morph dealing with nightmares at the beginning, and although that episode focuses on Sentinels, I'd imagine that most of Morph's nightmares are all about Sinister. Sleep paralysis incidents with Sinister looming over them, dreams of being trapped back in Sinister's lab. Dreams of Dark Morph taking over and doing unforgivable things, like killing a teammate, and Morph waking up and having to spend a good hour or more calming down and convincing themself that it didn't really happen. I think the nightmares definitely continue, Morph is just better at brushing it off and managing a decent night's sleep. Morph is also often unsure about whether the dreams are memories or just dreams, because their memories of their time with Sinister are fractured and incomplete.

Speaking of which, I think Morph has an incomplete memory of what happened when Dark Morph took over, and that makes things even worse. They KNOW that they hurt their teammates, and they are deeply sorry - but in some cases they have no memory of what they did.  And they are haunted by the idea that they might have done even worse things, but will never know because they can’t remember.

I think in Courage, Morph was very much over-compensating and trying to jump back into the "funny guy" role that everyone expects from them, to convince everyone (and themself) that they are totally okay and can go back to "normal." I'd like to imagine that in X-Men 97 Morph will be a little more serious and subdued. They still crack jokes, because that is part of who they are, but they've recognized that they can't ever go back to the person they were before the Sentinel attack. And that's okay, the new Morph can also be "normal."

Sorry, this was less dark headcanons about Morph coming back "wrong," and more Morph has to reckon with coming back deeply traumatized and undergoing a long process of healing while accepting that they will never be quite the same. I don't necessarily want Morph to be a traumatized ball of angst in X-Men 97, I want to see them as a normal team-member, just going on missions and making bad shape-shifting puns. But I also want to see a more serious and mature Morph, who has come through some bad shit and recovered.

Also, I think Morph and Jean would totally bond over dying and coming back to life, as well as having to face their own dark sides. It's the "We died and also committed atrocities" club.

Brackish is mostly about spanking kink between Basil (Christian) and Cassidy. It's also the story that - aside from the prologue - I've written from scratch the most. The Hostile Credence is not your medieval typical fantasy, but it does have the normalization of beating your kids. Though many characters are against it/do not get raised that way. It's all off-screen though, mostly just mentioned or implied. The Dragons' Cosmos... Roscoe's dad is heavily patterned after my own. Absolutely unhinged, and child abuse in many forms. But it's only implied/happens off-screen. Before our Ghosts is fucked up. Bertrand has a spanking kink, but it's hard for him to do anything about his fantasies since his childhood was so traumatic. He thinks this part of him is "broken and dirty" :( Adversary further goes into this... this is one I'm so afraid people will not understand, so I tend to be scared to go into it. But it deals with two kids who discover they're spankos when they're young. They're physically punished in a very fucked up and religious cult. (Parents are even permitted to kill their children without punishment, bc "the kid must have deserved it" is the assumption.) A lot of people report that when they were young, they'd look up the word "spanking" in the dictionary (I DID THAT) and search for books with spanking scenes (I also did this). I wanted to translate that experience bc... I hate spanking IRL outside of consensual adult kink, and Adversary is meant to drive home what it's like for it to cause childhood trauma. But I fear I might find pitchforks at my door instead if it ever finds the wrong crowd. I've already been told that children are the ones who are fucked up if they get off on spanking. Which makes Adversary so necessary of a story to tell... Rascal does touch on similar topics, but it mostly focuses on Hazel being comfortable as a spanko with Ferdinand as his dom. It's mainly meant to be sexy and cute. A counterspell, if you will, to the darker stories. (It does have a bit of angst in the main story, though.)

Stargazers' Hill has some threats and an off-screen whipping (that was originally on-screen, but I preferred to switch it over to another POV), but like other stories, it was mostly part of the background of such a rough childhood. :( Serrated Petals is... well, unhealthy dubcon/noncon stuff that has some spanking between the three men

Outside of the spanking erotica I've written, my short standalone stories don't have any spanking.

The Will of the Whispering does mention child abuse, but the main character, Lester, is breaking a cycle as he raises his children. So it's more about his own childhood and what he's definitely not doing to his babies. Good for him for trying his best? :) Planetary Boundaries has mention of Trace and Andy having abusive parents, but both are in new situations almost immediately at the start of PB. There is mention of abuse/neglect with Sigurd's background, but "we can't be bothered to supply these wards of the state with food on a really distant planet more than once a year" is more of a government-related issue.

In the Pleasure Seekers series, Xavier is an asexual Incubus who ends up finding disciplinary (nonsexual) benefits in being spanked by his boyfriend. Zach mentions getting punished by his grandfather sometimes and hating him for it, but it's mostly just about Zach spanking his partner...s... (They are poly later, no spoilers!) Where the Lanterns Glow is like many of my stories, where spanking is a background thing? Spanking is actually unheard of outside of witching communities, and Nolwen's father slipped a couple of times even within those witching communities bc he felt pressured when Nolwen acted out. (Later, he finds out why his son acted out and feels like a monster.) Nolwen and Evander have some spanking kink they experiment with, and this all started bc I liked the idea of potion spoons getting used in kink... Magic swinging swatters, anyone? They're adorable. Evander is the one who gets spanked, mostly, but Nolwen is sometimes curious what it's like, so they switch. Rarely, but they do.

I don't ship Wednesday and Enid BECAUSE PEOPLE NEED BEST FRIENDS and ENID IS THE PERFECT BEST FRIEND FOR HER. I just feel like making it romantic changes the dynamics and the point of their relationship. Isn't one point of the Wednesday show to show her experiencing different kinds of relationships?? And one very important kind of relationship IS FRIENDSHIP. Like, I love them as best friends 😭 like us girls need our girl friends!!!

(Also I'm getting tired of people always shipping friends as if platonic relationships AREN'T important or necessary or beautiful and good and fun. Cause like, they are?? Friendships are just as important as romantic relationships. Not everyone even wants a romantic relationship lol, so why do we keep looking at friendships as if they're inferior to romantic ones?)

Plus, I think it's just kind of unfair to Ajax that he's often forgotten or pushed aside in favor of this ship. I mean, I ship Wyler but I still absolutely love Enid and appreciate Xavier's character. I'm not forgetting about or putting aside them just because I don't ship them with Wednesday lol. I mean Ik that Ajax isn't a main character and that the fact that we don't know him that well yet contributes to this a lot, but still.

But anyway, it's not just unfair towards Ajax, who's a great character in his own right with a lot of potential, but also Georgie Farmer, who played him amazingly! Like Enid and Ajax are so cute together, and Georgie and Emma played them so well 😭 why are we just forgetting about them wjfnenfne

(And before y'all say something like "well all they did was kiss" just watch the series again like obviously they didn't focus on them enough to show other aspects of their relationship. But also may I remind you of the scene where he comforts her after she comes back from wolfing out and her battle with Hyde Tyler)

Oh boy there is so much going on here. The start of the rehabilitation of Xavier's 'dream,' the erasure of anything Cyclops achieved, the polite fiction that the whole 'endangered species' thing didn't have Magneto and Xavier deferring to Cyclops, Logan proven right in the Schism bc the narrative kept the genocidal threats away, nobody mentioning that Logan was trying to kill Hope, or that he was the Avengers' expert on The Phoenix for some reason. You know that bird that killed the creepy perfect crush he named the school after, but when Tony Stark's arrogance puts Scott in the same position he's a villain.

The idea that 'we' failed 'him' as if Xavier hadn't spent most of the last 5 years as a pariah for very good reasons. Whatever 'did it our own way' means, as if that isn't one of Logan's defining characteristics.

IT'S NOT A SIMPLE THING. It's straight up delusional to claim so. It *should* be but people are shitbags. 'Chuck only saw one path' as if that's something to be proud of. 'Protecting those who hated and feared us til they stopped' said with a straight face as if it's a rational strategy. As if bigotry has ever been solved through the permission of the oppressor. As if decades of the strategy have led anywhere but ruin. There were less than 200 mutants left in the world until very recently, yet that mission never stopped. It maybe wasn't as effective as usual, on account of every threat being a genocidal one. Logan's class there would have been the last, but Hope and the Phoenix changed that. Good thing he didn't kill her. Almost as if Cyclops was Right and the Avengers messed everything up, kept poking the bear, then villainised the guy possessed by a cosmic entity against his will. Their fantastic idea of training Hope's body, mind, and spirit felt a little familiar. Oh yeah, that's what Scott was doing. We need to convince you he's a villain so we're telling you he was wrong and the guy who committed suicide by Phoenix was a saint.

Keep in mind Cyclops is in a maximum security solitary confinement and about to be moved to a for profit prison to be shanked. Held by a government that has sentinels and has never stopped building them. Chuck 'died without seeing his dream come true' is something that will always be true. It's not actionable. It's emotionally manipulative. Why is this man telling children this? Mutants have just started being born again - that's a win.

Look at the book it takes place in, too. Uncanny Avengers, the token, b-grade team that is too little too late, if it's even helpful. Why aren't there more mutants in the Avengers? That would make more of a difference than creating a remedial team for the non-humans. Scott and Alex's conversation gets cut off but Scott makes good points. I got you.

My dude didn't summon the Phoenix. It's the first thing he'd say. He didn't ask to be possessed, that was Tony Stark. Chuck and Mags both explicitly passed the torch to Scott as an evolution of their obsolete methods. 'Btw your dead wife is still dead.' What a dick.

That's not what happened. Xavier was on Magneto Island too. Alex has been one of the most unreliable X-Men ever. It's not something he wanted to be doing. He's bailed on the dream countless times, if he ever believed in it. He doesn't have a leg to stand on criticising Scott like this. I wonder if he enjoyed cleaning up after the 'dream' when their other brother resurfaced. Dead dad, space war, billions dead. Brainwashing traumatized teenagers woo. Clearly they don't teach The Socratic Method at Xavier's.

He's being blatantly tortured and is muzzled by the narrative because his response would break the premise. At worst, there should be shared accountability for the disastrous events following The Phoenix's visit. I don't buy The Avengers as the good guys in the event. If I'm being charitable they're control freaks. If I'm not they're the antagonists of a story who got away with their mistakes by scapegoating one guy for his actions while possessed by a cosmic abstraction.

At least they gave his dud brother a job though, right?

You will be happy to know that the “big scene” between Wednesday and Donovan in Chapter 8 (“Come on, Addams. Also, as you were publishing your comments, I was publishing Winter 2023, which mentions her desire to smell the rain during the smutty part. She is a pluviophile, as are Gomez, Morticia, and Pugsley.

The scents of sex are much different than just normal scents, and werewolves have the same type of receptors that dogs have. Sex has a specific scent (genital fluids, sweat, pheromones). And with the way Wenovan’s been going at it…it’s strong in Enid’s nose.

No, cardiac arrests during sex aren’t prosecuted as manslaughter or murder. For prosecution to happen, the act must be something that the partner is doing (like bludgeoning or strangling someone during the act of sex), and then it’s not the sex that killed them, it was the instrument and the person wielding it (e.g. the opening scene of Basic Instinct).

When Donovan tells Tyler “More than you could ever know” after he answers the question, “Did you ever even love her?”, Donovan is basically confessing: “I loved her so goddamn much that I don't want to lose your sorry, stupid, murdering ass either because you're all I have left of her, but I don't know what to do and am unsure of what I should do or how to approach it”. We're not sure exactly what’s motivating N/C Don to avoid moving on Tyler but again…it's his son, and people can become blinded by their love even for their dangerous children. This is something that Thing actually goes over in Chapter 8.

AB Donovan has clear motivation: it's his son and (( SPOILER, I can't  say 😭)). Francie’s Hyde wrecked the family (and Donovan)  in ways that haven't been revealed yet. Bruh has severe PTSD.

The one she stole, she didn't see the price of (it was a $25 book 💩). She might not have taken it if she’d seen the price. But, she will make up for it eventually.

Afterburn Wednesday is a lot more practical than N/C Wednesday (it's ironic that I'm saying this right now, given what Afterburn Wednesday’s been doing since the end of S1 events). Afterburn Wednesday was against ‘writing what you know’ because she thought it to be reserved for the imagination impaired, but since her life was becoming a twisted mystery, she leaned into it; the same goes for her money. Why not lean into it since it's there and she's stuck there; if she didn't use her money, it would put her at a great disadvantage over the other spoiled rich kids, and since everything is a competition, she’d want to come out on top there, too (the Addamses and the Tanakas are rich af). Gomez spoils her with an allowance, but she just hoards it, which is what she thought she might live off of after she ran away.

Her big character flaw is manipulating people to get what she wants (and while she gets away with it with Donovan sometimes, from the first car ride to the cabin you can see that she doesn't get away with manipulating him all the time, which I think is part of what draws her to him…that he WON'T let her do it all the time is seen as both strength and a challenge that she admires…everyone else is weak-willed). She doesn't really ✨care✨ about anyone besides herself and Donovan. Everyone else she just tolerates.

Plus, since these thoughts are centered around sex, she's amused because she now feels justified in her preferences.

I think what I love about Wednesday (the Netflix show) is how there's a whole love triangle going on in the background that Wednesday consciously ignores. She doesn't let it gets in between her and what she feels she needs to do. It actually helps the fucking plot and is not just there to appeal the viewers.

Is a big breath of fresh air. I really hate when good movies/shows gets fucked up by adding a love triangle/love interest in the mixt (not talking about movies/shows that are specifically romances, but the ones that wants to add romance to another genre and fuck it out).
