Every time I look at Xavier, I think he's just talking shite behind those doe eyes of his.

Like this guy was the type in my class to smile in my face and act nice when the teacher pairs us up but he's secretly talking shit in his head about me and when I turn my head away he grimaces as if I'm just a pile of trash on the sidewalk or something when I did nothing to him.

making yourself comfortable on the couch of your guys' living room , giggling and kicking your feet , totally letting your guard down thinking your handsome boyfriend is still napping .

"I'm telling you tara he may look nice and gentle , but in bed?? noo that guy is the exact opposite of gentle , not that I hate it though" , this was a message sent to your best friend Tara while you girls were discussing how the intimate time with your boyfriends is like.

Xavier passes through the hallway and notices your little giggles and the way you were pretty glued to your phone's screen , curious , he enters the living room without you noticing and gets behind you , and yes he pretty much read everything before you finally noticed him standing behind your back .

you were met with his raised eyebrow and a look on his face that clearly says *really?* , "Xavier what--" he cuts you off "I'm the one who should be questioning you right now , don't you think?" he sighs and proceeds "honey ..what is that , that you're doing?" , you hide your phone behind your back , your cheeks heating up "I mean....nothing important? " , he sits besides you making sure to face you , "nothing important?" you could sense the teasing tone in his voice , he's mocking you "ok , ok i know it might seem weird but it's just tara you know ?" you say brushing it off, "lovely I know you're close with tara but.. to that extent?" he asks , "yeah don't worry it's pretty normal between us....I mean this isn't our first time talking about...this.." xavier raises his eyebrow again but this time in amusement.

"well then" he gets closer to you then raises your chin with his hand "why don't I give you two more stuff to talk about?" with one swift motion , he ripped the buttons off your shirt staring dangerously into your eyes while at it "you make sure you tell her exactly of what is about to happen to you" he mocks you with a wicked grin.

Zayne

You've been waiting for your husband to pick you up from your work place for quite sometime now , however, thankfully your best friend Tara decided to keep you company while you wait for his arrival.

and somehow your conversation had took a rather an interesting turn , "ohh zayne is almost never gentle during it" you say sighing then proceeding "but it is because I , most of the time , rile him up" you remarked proudly , tara gets intrigued "ohhh? do tell your secret" ,she gets closer eager to get some tips from you , "darling" a voice cuts you both off , and you both flinch at the sudden voice coming between you , "it seems like a very important topic you both are discussing , but I'm afraid we have to go home" he says this with the most normal collected tone ever , like you two weren't just talking about his habits in the bedroom , tara gets embarrassed and excuse herself , but she does shoot you a look of "good luck" before leaving you two to be.

on the way home zayne never mentioned it , in fact he was asking how was work today and some other normal questions , so the ride was quite peaceful.

however as soon as you guys are in the house , he finally comments "so I'm almost never gentle huh?" he says so out of the blue with a smirk on his face , catching you off guard , you were hoping he'd actually ignore it and never mention it "well? am I wrong tho??" you reply trying to save some face by attacking him , "no you aren't" he says simply , "but only because almost everytime you rile me up" he said emphasizing the 'you' in the sentence , "zayneee" you whine "stop teasing me ok? you might think it's weird but it's quite normal between girlfriends to.....gossip" you said the last word while hiding your face in the palm of your hands , he chuckles at your state , approaching you he grabs your hands removing them from your face to look at you all flustered , but you moved your gaze away looking at everything in the room but him , "darling look at me" he says gently , and you can't help but fold "I'm not mad , but in fact a little invested in what you tell her" now his tone changes from a gentle to a very teasing one again "I'm pretty sure you've told her about what makes you feel good" he whispers in your ears seductively determined on teasing you , you pause for a few moments but ending up nodding to him defeated , "well then I guess you have to tell me as well , providing me with specific details that is".

Rafayel

it wasn't weird for you that rafayel drags you beside him sometimes , when he wants to paint , he claims that he's able to concentrate better when you're by his side.

but the more your boyfriend painted, the more focused he became, giving you the perfect opportunity to answer the texts tara sent you earlier, unnoticed .

"so you were talking about how your boyfriend is such a tease huh?" tara's texted "yeah exactly , this man has no shame he'd tease me at his workplace sometimes" you reply not knowing that you were smiling unintentionally while writing this, "although i can't say I dislike the thrill that comes with it" you add completely absorbed in the conversation , not noticing your boyfriend who's been trying to talk to you for a minute now , he eventually gives up and snatches the phone out of your hand bringing it up to his face "what's got you so entertained that you forgot about my presence?" he said looking through the screen trying to identify the reason , "rafayel don't---" you said trying to get your phone back before you get busted

"too late my love too late" he winks then gives the phone back to you willingly "I saw everything" he says leaning back relaxed , totally unbothered , but rather amused , and this got you more nervous than you already were , you wanted to say something to defend yourself , you really did ,however you didn't find any .

"ohhh you poor little girl" rafayel mocks getting closer , "seems like the cat got your tongue" his hands are now resting on your hips feeling them up and down slowly "I should tease you like I always do" he parts your legs with a swift motion startling you "only then I could get your sweet sounds to come out".

Sylus

sylus was never the one to pry , but when he overhead you on the phone with tara , he raised an eyebrow.

he had heard some very interesting remarks coming from you , of how he left you breathless and weak in the knees last night , all described in thorough details .

You didn't even notice him standing in the doorway until his deep voice cut off your conversation .

"so that's what you tell your friends?"his tone was a mix of amusement and curiosity , you jumped , clutching the phone to your chest "uhh sylus....I didn't see you there" you said flashing him an innocent smile .

his gaze lingred on you for a while , scanning you , before speaking "I wasn't aware our nights were a topic of discussion between you two" he says crossing his arms.

you huffed , setting your phone aside still red faced , "well it's normal , ok??" you explained defensively "girls share these things with eachother , and tara is the one that I go to for....stuff".

"Stuff?" sylus repeated clearly enjoying watching you flustered , he moved closer backing you against the wall as he leaned down , his face inches from yours , "care to share exactly what kind of 'stuff' you told her?".

you tried to maintain your composure , but your face kept heating up at the memory of the stuff you told her "just ...you know??" you muttered, looking anywhere but his eyes , "no I don't know kitten , speak up" .

you huff again "I...might've mentioned...how rough you are" you admitted , voice barely audible , sylus on the other hand was satisfied with the answer "I see" he hummed with dark amusement , leaning to whisper in your ear "next time , I'll make sure there are a few things you can't quite put into words".

You guys keep trying to make hank into a villain or rewrite his past- god forbid a character have really sevre ugly symptoms that causes them to make decisions that permanently effect the story but have them still be heroes! God forbid Ironman have npd and be a hero! Let's shame MCU Bruce for his mental illness for being unable to do things because of it! God as soon as a character with a mental illness or developmental disorder or low IQ shows actual symptoms and behaviors (ei: acts like how someone with the disorder in question acts- you know the main part of having a fucking disorder) you get pissy and pile on the shame- yeah jen you do control your anger better than bruce- you can also stand better than Charles fucking Xavier! I'm never gonna be one of those people who tell others to stop writing disabled villains or that writing a character that deals with internalized ableism (disabled people like any group of people can be total prices of shit, and I'm sorry not everyone is content and accepting of their disabilities and some of us take comfort in characters that struggle with being angry because of their problems) but Jesus Christ when a heroic character with ugly symptoms who makes cruel decisions or has 'bratty' or 'immature' moments can we let them stay heroes? Can we let them have a disorder without piling on the shame that we are inferior because we can't do something everyone else can- because that's literally what a disability is! Can they still be heroes?

Do we have to use intellectual/developmental disability as a shorthand for anti intellectualism and being a gross annoying psycho

Do we have to make every heroic character with aspd or npd into a villain or change their disability to autism because it's 'more sympathetic' as if lack of empathy isn't a goddamned symptom of many disabilities like PTSD and autism- You can headcanon tony as having autism- that's cool by me but it's clear some of y'all do it to make him a 'woobie'- which is infantalizing btw but also it's because some of y'all are ableist toward people with npd

I hate that the only acceptable 'ugly symptoms' are things like forgetting to shower or brush your teeth every once in a while or being a bit irritable and not stuff like burning bridges or having explosive outburts

Also it's not a mental illness unless it effects your behavior?

Im not saying that we should just accept and allow mentally ill/intellectually disabled people/characters to get away with bad behaviors unpunished but can they stay heroes? Can they still be respectable?

Yes you are technically superior to disabled people because you are capable of things we aren't and you have better character and you can control yourself but guess what? Those people you hate for being incapable of that shit have disabilities it's not our faults! It's the fucking definition of a disability! Like yeah it is a skill issue and we're just 'worse' than nondisabled with us lacking self control and having lower IQs and bad mental processing- yeah it is because we're lacking in some capacity that's like the definition disability you can't say you support disabled people and then turn around and say shit about how your better than these people because you can talk or take care of yourself

Hank Pym and Lapis Lazuli should get called out for acting like assholes and pieces of shit but I am firmly against turning one of few heroic characters who actively struggle with psychosis and delusions into another 'psycho' villain and I'm firmly against saying Lapis is just as bad as Jasper and using symptoms of her PTSD as signs she should be rewritten into a villain- I want them to be held accountable not turned into straight up evil guys or dear god washing out their problematic qualities until they're palatable/relatable to a neurotypical audience to make them good guys when they are already good guys!

Can people who do bad things because of their disabilities still be heroes? Can they be allowed to get better or do they have to accept that having ugly symptoms means being the bad guy? Fucking hell this is why I side eye anyone who acts like mental illness/developmental/cognitive or mental etc disabilities are more destigmatized than physical disabilities (trust me they aren't)

Tldr let characters with ugly symptoms be heroes let your characters with mental disorders act like they have a disorder and let said characters be heroes inspite of it!

xavier - i can see all three directions for him so it’s hard to say definitely 💀💀 my initial inclination is beta. another part of me is like ,, obvious omega. another part of me is like worlds most pathetic alpha. i can see all three of these things in equal measure. however his kind of selfish and overbearing nature inclines me towards beta passing alpha like zayne.

rafayel - alpha passing omega. extremely un-omega like with the exception of his heats and the very few partners. he doesn’t dislike being an omega i think he’s very ambivalent towards all of it he just is one of that makes sense. his scent is not what people expect and he doesn’t often correct when people assume.

zayne - beta passing alpha. he’s so high spec and so normal people assume beta but he’s an alpha against his will. scent is a bit abrasive except to his omega so he usually wears patches and it’s easier for work. hates his ruts so much lmfao

sylus - i literally know fuck all about that guy so completely take this with a grain of salt . he’s not an omega for sure but for some reason i don’t think he’s an alpha despite his personality. i see him as a beta who often passes for an alpha just bc of how imposing he is. omegas like him bc he has a comforting scent like warm fabric and cologne. that or he’s an alpha whose also somewhat ambivalent towards it.

but mostly bc he thinks it’s funny to see how people measure it up based on it. the way he is is bc he’s like that, not because of his secondary sex so he thinks it’s interesting. at least that’s the vibe

caleb - alpha who i do think tries deliberately to hide it in a somewhat manipulative way andnfnsjfnfjwj. probably the most traditionally an alpha but he’s the worst person to he those traits

Love and Deepspace: Caleb and Bad Writing (Long, LONG Rant)

I might be in the minority here but I'm not liking Caleb at all. (Edit 1: I said the wrong thing here, I do like Caleb. I think he has the potential to be a good character. The hate comes more from how Infold has done his story. Well, the story in general.)

I'm not bothered by the childhood friend thing. So that's not the issue I'm having. I'm just not liking the story. I feel like it was rushed which I know it probably wasn't but it feels that way. And it shows the bad writing of LaDS when it comes to the main storyline.

The way the MC is glossing over some huge red flags and blaring warning signs, it pisses me off. We get a tease of her fighting Caleb's yandere tendencies but she still lets it happen anyway. Infold really wanted to rush the relationship. They sure as hell don't know how to write a slow burn or even a medium burn.

Even Sylus, who has had less story and less everything, had more back and forth with MC than a supposed dead guy. MC hated and was annoyed being tethered to Sylus. Was annoyed when he appeared when she was with friends or with other hunters (conveniently when Xavier is not around).

Back to Caleb: Then there's the fact he is the only LI that wants to baby her in every aspect. The other LIs knew she could kickass and let her. Do they want to protect her? Yes. Do they protect her? Yes. But do they know she could do it on her own if needed? Hell yes. Caleb still thinks of her as the little girl who was afraid of thunderstorms. He constantly thinks of her as the girl who made childhood promises to him. And let's not forget, he drugs her to "keep her safe". He uses his evol to keep her in place. He locks her in her room. That is horrifying. And she glosses over it!!!! Everytime!!!! When she wants to "go out with friends" and he won't let her. He finds ways to keep her there. She doesn't question it.

Do I mind dark romance? No. I read dark romance but at least the FMC doesn't fall for MMC immediately. She thinks shit through. MC on the other hand doesn't bat an eye. Caleb has returned from the dead. Great, be happy. But don't just ignore that he's returned with issues and secrets. We can obviously see that he is not mentally all there. Don't just tell him everything and not be concerned that he's not reacting to shit. She's not really questioning the fact he is still alive. Not a priority, I guess.

She proceeds to tell Caleb everything about the papers that Grandma gave to Zayne (not Caleb btw) to give MC in the time of her passing. MC is not at all concerned about the consequences of doing that. She sees and hears Caleb being involved with the Professor and she still doesn't consider that a huge neon red flag. Instead she does everything in her power to excuse his behavior. What? He even tells her, "You think I have a chip in my brain?" He knows she's worried about it and still manipulates her into moving on from the question. And she does!!!

And then there's Zayne, who is also in Skyhaven, because of course he is, and still she doesn't tell him anything about Caleb even tho he was Caleb's childhood friend too. Or she doesn't go to him to ask for help. She was drugged by Caleb and she doesn't tell Zayne, her doctor. Zayne is literally there for no real reason in the story of Caleb and MC. He was used as a plot device for a different part of the story. How has Zayne not heard of Colonel Caleb? It seems that Caleb is a big deal in Skyhaven. Yet he doesn't know? I feel like Infold isn't going to have these two characters interact at all which would make no sense story wise.

We have these characters existing in one timeline/storyline together and we are supposed to believe they don't know about each other or MAYBE know about each other. Xavier literally lives in the same building as MC. He can enter her apartment at any time. She told him his fingerprint will let him in. She gave him the permission to literally barge in. He's her partner at the HA! And yet!!!! He never sees any of the other LIs come to her apartment? And he's conveniently missing when hunters are involved in the other LIs storylines. It's always another male colleague that she works with. It's getting old and stupid real quick.

The theory of the LIs being each other's antithesis makes no sense when they never acknowledge each other. Xavier/Sylus, Zayne/Caleb, Rafayel/LI6, really falls flat. It can't be they are different timelines or parallel universes when the storyline plainly connects them. In chapter 4, Caleb and Grandma talk about Zayne. They want to invite him over for dinner. And that's not the only time when the story connects the LIs. Zayne goes to check on the guy who has a mermaid skeleton in his living room. Rafayel gave the collector his painting that was slowly killing him. They all know about Onychinus which means they should know who Sylus is. And let's not forget Tara has met Sylus. Does she not mention him in front of Xavier?

I mean, come on. Math is not mathing.

Either Infold is purposely making MC dumb, because let's face it she makes some of the worst decisions, to explain the bad writing or they don't really know how to connect the storylines at all. (Edit 2: MC isn't dumb per say she lacks critical thinking skills sometimes. Maybe that's a better way to put it.)

I don't count the many 4/5 level special cards as a part of the main storyline because if that was the case the girl's evol should be teleportation or multiplication. Cause they all conveniently happen at the same time.

I know all of Caleb's cards aren't out and his storyline isn't complete (most of his cards are from the past) but that doesn't matter right now. It doesn't excuse the rushed feelings MC has in the present. Also in chapter 4, it is implied to us, as viewers, that MC didn't have romantic feelings for Caleb. They treated each other as siblings. (I know they aren't. I'm talking about how MC treated him in chapter 4.) Did Caleb have feelings? Yeah, that was obvious.

I don't know. Time will tell, I guess but so far the main story update has been disappointing for me. I want a VILLAIN romance but, please, do it well. I have the morally grey storyline with Sylus (kinda). Give me a well written Villain love interest. Don't rush it. Give me, present timeline yearning not past. Give me a slow-ish burn. Let MC and Caleb fight. Give me, knife to the throat romance. Don't make MC so gullible and naive. Let her ask other LIs for help when Caleb is stepping out of line. Have her question if he loves or is just obsessed with her.

Viper literally says that Caleb is obsessed with MC not in love with MC. He, a mentally unstable man/robot person, can tell the difference. MC is twiddling her thumbs and pretending not to see it.

Was Caleb in love at one point? I think so however with time it has twisted into obsession. (Edit 3: I'm not saying Caleb doesn't love MC now. I'm saying those feelings have twisted more to obsession. Like maybe whatever the Professor did, did something to his feelings for MC. And I know MC will enable him like MC does with Xavier. MC be freaky that way. That's not a bad thing for a FICTIONAL scenario.)

Also Kevi and Mia?! That storyline pissed me off. She literally sees something is wrong with the twins and does nothing. Mia doesn't give info to anyone because she doesn't trust them. Unfortunately for Mia, she put her trust in MC and that was a mistake because, as mentioned, MC is stupid. MC goes to where Kevi is hiding and doesn't take Zayne?!?!!? Doesn't take Kevi to Zayne immediately even tho he's ill. Why the fuck not?!

Kevi tells her point blank he was afraid of the Fleet and not to be trusted and she doesn't think it's bad when the Fleet got to him? No, because it's okay cause Caleb was involved? He was conveniently found by Caleb? That's not suspicious, that's not weird. Kevi must be okay. But wait, there's more! Mia conveniently dies right after. Neither Zayne or MC does anything beyond mentioning it was a weird coincidence. Not at all suspicious, apparently.

What the actual fuck? (Edit 4: I am aware that more happens than just casually mentioning the situation. I did, in fact, read the story. I just think certain choices leading up to Mia's death and Kevi's forced adoption could have easily been avoided or at least better written.

MC puts her trust in Caleb to do the right thing even tho she knows and acknowledges he's not the same anymore. I don't think I'm wrong for saying that it's a stupid choice story wise. It's obvious Caleb doesn't put his full trust in MC, but MC does. It causes an imbalance. We know MC can be and has been a badass; why diminish that?)

How is anyone not annoyed with the storyline? It makes Caleb a really bad character and LI, it further proves MC is dumb as shit. She's so easily manipulated and so impossibly naive.

No. No one cares because he's the Winter Soldier. Omg if real money is going to be spent on this godforsaken game make it worth it.

I was so excited for Caleb too. It's just sad.

Also a random note, I don't like the voice of Jenna. It doesn't fit her at all. Not bashing the VA at all. She has a great voice. It's just not a strong voice for Jenna.

沈星回 - shĕn xīnghuí-- do you ever think about the irony behind his name? the characters in his name means "a star's return" but from what i gathered from the lumiere myth is that xavier crash landed at some point in history. so i wonder if this star can ever even return at all.

his spaceship is also just a bunch of ruins now. and who knows when he crashed too? in the lumiere myth, it was already rusted and overgrown, so i think he crashed even several hundred years before our "present day" mc.

and then there's his crew too who has turned against him. i can only wonder if the crash was their doing or if the crash started their plots against xavier. i mean, they could potentially lose their immortality if xavier puts a stop to the wanderer/protofield sacrifices so.. maybe i'm leaning towards the former option? i rly don't know.

i could also go on about how the lightseeker myth is just so devastating because as queen mc said, her star had left her. and as far as i understand, he may not even have the technology to repair his spaceship, thus trapping him in this era. and so the lightseeker memory sucks !! (no this is not hating, i'm saying that the myth caused me emotional turmoil)

anyways, i'm tryna say that despite xav's name means to return, it seems that him and queen mc are separated for who knows how long. and it's painful cuz queen mc is still you, another version of you. so, somewhere out there, there's a you that doesn't seem to get a happy ending with xavier.

I got massive vampire vibes when I saw his teaser on IG, and while I am mildly disappointed that isn't the case, supernatural Yakuza isn't exactly bad either. Huge and has a bite meaner than his bark for sure, which I respect; would shoot someone point blank without letting them finish a dramatic ahh dialogue. Also has this weird duality of "I'm going to fuck you up" and "I dropped my monster condom that I use for my magnum dong." You know what? I can deal, he seems like a whole hoot and a half.

one thing i did not understand about the netflix series is why would they make wednesday so unapproachable. yes, wednesday & co. are supposed to be creepy and different. but they were always welcoming.

wednesday, while not exactly welcoming on the surface, did approach people. in the 90s movie she approached joel, in the animated movies she approached parker. so my beef with the netflix version is that wednesday basically acts entitled and hurts those that approach her (which btw, literally why do they do that in the first place???). xavier she called an elitist snob. she has beef with bianca just because she's popular. she manipulates and uses enid for the plot. the only characters that wednesday treats normal, like her previous versions, are tyler and eugene.

i would understand wednesday having beef with the ' normies ', because they treat her like a freak. that's pretty much what the addams family are, that odd family that does not follow traditional rules. icr where, but one version of wednesday did state something among the lines of ' i can see the majority sees my family as gulliable and odd and they take advantage of them so i must try to protect them because god forbid they gave a damn about who they welcome inside our home '.

so my headcanon is basically, wednesday doesn't hate bianca just because she's popular. she doesn't hate her in the slightest. she sees bianca as a worthy competitor from their very first sword fight & she takes the challenge when bianca poisons yoko in order to throw enid's team off. and when, in canon, they have that heartfelt conversation at the rave'n, it's genuine because they are friends. they challenge each other and grow. bianca doesn't bully wednesday and neither does wednesday bully bianca. let the girls be friends. they each have different qualities that the other could learn from.

another headcanon is regarding enid, my beloved. you can't tell me wednesday isn't appalled by her roommate. from the pastels reminiscing of her babysitter debbie may she rip, from the way she's the complete opposite of wednesday. wednesday needs enid. whilst i understand wednesday would put enid in danger, she'd make up for it. wednesday would treat enid as a friend. she would stick by her side no matter what and she would totally call out enid's mother. but she's not as oblivious as seen in the show. it's not despite all odds that they found each other, it's a choice. wednesday was put in the same dorm as enid, but the two of them do get along. their little brawls in canon? valid, they are bonding. but at the end of the day, wednesday chooses enid to be part of her life because of who she really is.

don't even get me started with xavier. she learns in episode one that the two of them are acquainted and during the next episodes suddenly he turns into an elitist snob? or was that wednesday projecting because that's clearly who she is. born into generational wealth acting like a brat. i'd rather wednesday say jokingly that the two of them are the elitist snob club sometimes and actually have them open up about what they do wrong because they both make a lot of mistakes with those around them. but wednesday would never insult him. she'd still ask him on the rave'n for the same cause as seen in canon, and those emotions you see in wednesday aren't because she's oh so torn between him and tyler, but because she never asked someone out. it's a new thing and she was genuinely not knowing how to do it.

i also have beef with how the addams family dynamics are but that's for a whole 'nother post. that's all that comes to my mind for now, folks. me vs. canon.

Satan: Have you ever genuinely hated or despised a character? Why?

Answer: In all honesty, it's really hard for me to hate anything, much less anyone. I don't like hating people (or hating on things in general) because it just makes me feel bitter and then I get anxious about hating things. And there are better things to do than hate.

That being said. I might genuinely dislike Lucifer from Obey Me. Not hate. Not despise. But a genuine, strong dislike. And it's insane because I have never truly hated nor disliked a character in otome games. I am one of the ones who believes in harems and thinks all the LIs are deserving of love in some form. I don't believe Lucifer, however, is deserving of any love from me. I don't like him because he's off-putting, too forceful, and quite literally the fandom blueprint for a mean dom or whatever. Anytime he approaches me I just tell him to wrap it up. And quickly, at that. Usually I don't mind characters like this because sometimes they're funny, but I dunno. I don't find Lucifer funny in any context. I just think he's weird. He has his redeeming qualities, but overall? He's my least favorite of the seven brothers.

Beelzebub: What kind of writing can you never get enough of?

Answer: Descriptive writing. Be sooooooooo descriptive. Be over the top, be verbose, be disgusting, use the most colorful words the internet can give you (in the right context!), and my life is yours. Literally. Describe the squelch, the whimper, the groan of despair, the twisting of expressions and the cracking of bones and the gurgling of voices. Describe the warmth of the sun on backs and the chill of snow on cheeks. Describe the stinging of tears, the shivers of giddiness, the twinge of fear. I don't care what you're writing; smut, romance, angst, found family, whatever! Be so overly descriptive that I can't put it down. My life will literally be yours.

Barbatos: What trope of characters are you most likely to get along with?

Answer: Easygoing characters. Characters who ride the winds of time and change like it's no big deal and take everything in stride. They keep a level head and serve as a grounding, stable presence. I am a very anxious and tightly wound person, and while it's something I'm actively working on, having someone who can ground me when I get too in my head is ideal.

It's either that or cheerful characters. Characters who manage to stay positive (preferably not to their own detriment) and are flirty, funny, and can cheer someone up in seconds. I love people who can see the bright side to most things, and will help me stay positive in a good way. Plus, I just like flirty, funny people. They're easy to get along with and are typically kind. It's soothing to be around them. And I'd love to return the favor if they ever need someone to cheer them up.

Xavier: Favorite food, color, and animal?

Food: Pasta. I don't care if it has cream sauce, tomato sauce, or oil sauce. If it's a pasta with delicious toppings and a rich sauce, I will absolutely destroy it.

Color: Contrary to what is probably popular belief... My favorite color is blue! When I was seven years old, I set up a pink and purple crayon in an attempt to choose between the two colors for a favorite. I ended up reaching too far and picked a blue one. I decided to go with it. Blue has been my favorite color ever since, and over time, it really has become my genuine favorite color.

Animal: I don't have a favorite animal. However, my favorite animal group is literally any bird ever. I love birds; I think they're all so funny all the time.

Rafayel: What do you like to do to pass the time?

Answer: A variety of things, really. Rewatch my favorite shows (big fan of murder mysteries, period pieces, comedies, fantasies, and slice-of-life shows), read webtoons or books (action and fantasy are my favorites), write poetry, even painting! It's a hobby I don't dedicate much time to, but I enjoy it when I do it.

Sometimes I like to watch let's plays of juicy plot-heavy games or really funny ones. It depends on my mood.

My favorite hobby, however, is playing games. I love casual games, plot-heavy RPGs/simulators, and a good, juicy otome game.

Nero: What’s something you would love to learn more about? 

Answer: Human Anatomy. Forgive me for being a little over the top here, but if I had the opportunity, I would indeed crack a dead person open just to study their tissues. My god, it would be cathartic. I've never flinched at any of the scenes of dead bodies in TKDB because I always think about how cool it would be to examine them up close. The beheaded bodies are my favorites.

Haru: How much time do you typically put into your writing? How high of a priority is it?

Answer: Oh, hours. Hours and hours and hours. It isn't my top priority as I do have a job and other responsibilities, but writing is very high on the list because it's how I decompress. It doesn't even really matter what I'm writing about. if I'm in the mood to write, I'm doing that!

Rui: What inspires your writing? How long does the inspiration last?

Answer: It comes and goes in random strikes. Sometimes something completely unrelated to a fic I have in progress will happen and it will strike me with inspiration so deeply that I am possessed to get up and immediately write.

I came up with my perv!Sho fic while watching a murder mystery. I came up with Pavlov's Ghoul soon after reading your leashed leo fic and thinking about autumn settling in. I came up with my perv!Haku fic while doodling, drinking tea, and burning incense. Inspiration is anywhere and everywhere. It strikes randomly and suddenly. It lasts until my brain dares to forget it, and I'm not one to forget an inspiration.

Yuri: Is writing strictly a hobby, or do you plan to monetize it one day?

Answer: It's a great hobby. I do intend to monetize it one day. But that's not happening anytime soon. Some requests I've gotten, however, have REALLy pushed my limit, so I'm thinking about implementing a paywall if things get any more crazy.

Remember It

I had a whole thing prepared and saved in drafts to continue after ep 5 but then I watched it and decided that particular post will have to wait. My thoughts on this episode are....well we'll get there. If you haven't watched it--Do that now because I'm not pulling any punches. Also this is very long so be warned.

As always I'm focusing on our Rogue and Remy moments. Those Jean/Maddy/Scott/Logan....that shit is not my concern. (Short answer it's messy as hell and I hate it.)

The episode starts with Rogue, Remy and Erik in the Blackbird heading to Genosha. Remy makes a comment about how long they are taking and Erik decides to remind Remy that the latter cannot fly. For what reason I don't really know, as if Rogue won't catch the Cajun. Rogue tells them to shut up and play nice. (good on her)

They arrive and Remy is unexpected again earning a comment from Erik. Soon after they are ambushed by Kurt (hell yes the fuzzy elf) who tells them that a lot has happened since they last saw him (though we are not granted the details). Kurt proceeds to show Remy and Rogue around Genosha. Here we get a glimpse of the mutant island. It's nice and everyone seems happy to which Rogue makes a comment about "him" being right. Obviously "him" is Erik.

We learn that apples apparently cost $10 to which Remy remarks on the price and Kurt brushes it off as a necessary evil (not his words). We then get more cameos of mutants (awesome btw) and eventually a long coveted Remy and Kurt scene wherein Kurt is everyone's favorite guy. He proves to be a "shipper on deck" telling Remy that Remy and Rogue belong together and they should cut the act and just get married. (Seriously I love Kurt. He rocks.)

Next up we have Rogue talking to Erik and learning that he wants her to rule Genosha with him (there's a whole scene with Moira, Emma Frost, Banshee, Sabastian Shaw, and Madylene). Rogue declines, offended that he seems to have set it up but Erik assures her that he didn't want this and that it was something Xavier would have wanted. He also proceeds to address Remy's feeling for Rogue as "you make broken men feel whole." She leaves to think about his offer.

She then goes to Remy and explains everything. She tells him of her past with Erik and how they had something special but it wasn't like Remy. Remy is understandably upset at the secrets, saying he was fine keeping things unofficial. She admits she loves Remy that he "lights up everything he touches" and that she "can't touch his heart." This leads Remy to tell her that "some things are deeper than skin."

She doesn't believe him and tells him she'll take Erik's offer despite not being in love with him anymore. Remy tells her that Erik will break her heart and that when he does, Remy will be there for her. Until then they shall remain as friends. (Seriously perfect this man.)

At the gala, where Erik is presented as the future of Genosha, Rogue makes an entrance as Remy watches. He leaves as Erik and Rogue dance, holding hands and being very physically intimate. He doesn't see that after a kiss, Rogue tells Erik that Remy was right- "Some things are deeper than skin." She leaves to find Remy.

All hell breaks loose as a massive Sentinel attacks. Rogue finds Kurt, injured and without her gloves she is unable to help her brother, Thankfully, Remy arrives and assures us Kurt is alive. Remy goes off to find the Morlocks and lead them to safety while Erik and Rogue help out where they are.

Remy and the Morlocks are attacked leading to a showdown where Erik is protecting the Morlocks and Rogue and Remy by keeping the latter two away from the fight. Erik fails and Rogue, grief-stricken, tries to attack the Sentinel, Remy stops her. The machine turns to a group of mutants, including Kurt and Remy charges in to save them.

He gets close but is impaled, at which point he says the title of the episode while charging the entire Sentinel- "The name is Gambit, mon ami. Remember it." Rogue finds him in a crater, dead- "I can't feel you."

Ok so more or less that ended up as a synopsis of the episode because the whole thing was basically about Romy. The Key notes we get are:

Kurt being a supportive brother and rooting for the relationship giving us a beautiful line "love is not without sin".

Rogue wanting to do what is best for mutant kind even if that means she cannot be with the one she loves.

Remy deciding that he can wait for her to be ready and will be her friend until that time comes.

Rogue deciding that Remy was right "some things are deeper than skin."

Erik accepting Rogue's decision and saving not only her, but Remy as well.

Remy proving that despite what he thinks of himself- he is a hero and a good man.

This episode broke my heart but handled the Erik/Rogue/Remy triangle very well. It is so mature in stark contrast to that of Scott/Jean/Maddy/Logan. Logan being the most mature person in that entire mess, knowing that Jean and Scott love each other and that he can be her friend. Cable (who was the orignial person in the series to say "My name is_. Remember it.) made an appearance confirming that he is Nathan and that he has already tried to stop the attack from occurring. We can only hope we get a chance to see him succeed and see Rogue tell Remy their love is deeper than skin.
