I want to preface this rant by saying that everything I'm about to go off on is directed towards characters not actors and fans of those characters soo I hope yall dont come for a bitch cuz a bitch can and will clapback

Now my issue is with the cw Arrowverse fandom but this may apply to others as well

I am sick of the supercorp and avalance concept of two cis yt women pairing

Like Ava and Sara are basically the same fucking person like I'll be watching a fight scene and if Sara isn't wearing her white canary suit I genuinely dont know which is which (now this speaks to a larger problem in the Arrowverse.

ex. Kara, Felicity, sara, mia, & ava, all look the fucking same( ever wonder why felicity has her hair down or doesn't wear her glasses during crossovers w kara cuz them ladys could be twins!)

Also perpetuating a weird stereotype that gays date people who look just like them or could be confused for siblings

Charlie and Zari could've totally been a thing but yall couple my girl off with hank "has the same personality as Ray" Hayward

Cuz god knows this audience hates to see people of color in relationships that don't include white people

Dont even get me started on Constantine who's black bf lasted all of 5mins before being replaced by gary romantically and Ray story wise

Now on to supercorp yall keep thirsting over a ship that the writers never plan to make canon (though I will agree that kara is written as anything but straight) they are queerbaiting us poor gays with representation

And ik Alex is a lesbian but yall cant tell me her storylines w kelly aren't god awful. Like that relationship came out of nowhere there was no buildup, no will they wont they, no getting to know each other as friends nope just imitiatley into a serious relationship

(Cue basic lesbian U-haul joke here)

Like people we have a beautiful interracial relationship with two women of color in black lightning not to mention one half of that pair is a main character like yall Anissa Pierce is a black lesbian superhero!!!!!!!!

If supercorp and avalance put half as much energy into supporting all LGBTQ+ rep then I wouldn't be making this post

Like can yall hype up #thundergrace cuz with your numbers this fandom could skyrocket

I've been seriously considering cutting the Arrowverse shows from my watchlist cuz after crisis I truly realized how white these shows are

Yeah sure there are characters of color but when you put them all together you realize that they are all secondary to the white protagonist

Like us POC are just props to make your scene look more diverse

Black lightning had no fucking reason to join the justice league but if he didn't there would only be one black guy on the team!!! Like are yall fucking serious?

Notice how black lightning characters rarely if ever interact with the rest of the Arrowverse cuz that yt nonsense would not fucking fly in Freeland

*bonus none of the characters of color on any of these shows are written authentically they have no ties to their culture or any sense of their racial history. They are all yt roles played by non white actors. Why, cuz I guarantee the writers room is all white. (Obviously BL is exempt from this bc in my opinion every character is authentically and unapologetically black)

*disclaimer I'm not saying that there is a certain way to be black or any race/ethnicity all I'm saying is that people of color do not have the privilege of existing in a fantasy world where our race/ethnicity doesn't influence our day to day lives
