This is where I think we will finally have the Night Court (Rhys & Feyre) and Elain conflict come in. Elain sees these hewn city people looking longingly in these windows of bakeries and toy stores and see them refused entry and she will go in there and buy them stuff and hand it over right outside the store doors to the HC people and Velaris store owners are going to complain to Rhys, That his sister in law is promoting and helping the HC residents in Velaris.

And how wild would it be if Elain’s first question when confronted by Feyre and Rhys and maybe even Mor about her actions is:

“Is Hewn City and the people who live there also not Night Court citizens?”

And how quiet the room will get because I don’t think anyone has actually brought that to their attention in decades or centuries.

Imagine a lowborn & low-ranked Darkbringer finally having the opportunity to go to Velaris so that he can buy sweets and toys (something like a teddy bear) for his daughter, only for him to realize that the shopkeepers ignore and refuse him to purchase these things
