This morning as I was signing into work at 8:31, with the 8:31 in 100-pt font on the lock screen, my brain went “ah yes, the Halloween Time,” and I went What? No? What? and my brain went “yes. 31. And the October Number. Ipso facto and soforth, Halloween.”
And I had to sit there for a minute staring blankly across two thousand years of space in my mind at the Roman ghost suddenly possessing my subconscious, grappling with the sudden, visceral knowledge that 8 *is* the October number, actually.
#I don’t mean I just realized that the ‘Oct’ in October is for 8. I knew that.#I mean 8 is October. January is 1. June is 6. Sept is 9#Nov and Dec are 11 and 12.#but October is 8#the rest don’t have numbers sorry

RWRB Timeline
I originally worked out the timeline for Sep. 27, 2020, and when people suggested I post it on tumblr, I said fuck it and did the whole book.
Go big or go home, right?
I have spent the past 3 days working on this. It’s half summaries of the events of the days in order, and half “here’s a one sentence summary of the day”.
Whenever possible, I’ve detailed out when things happen by the hour, like the day at Wimbledon, or the email leak day, including guesstimations on flight times, and what time EST and BST Alex is taking off and landing. I often forgot to add vague things like “morning” in, so sorry about that.
I’ve bolded all the dates I’m sure of.
Bold and italics means an official date: emails, text threads, tweets, holidays, Georgetown, etc.
Two asterisks ** = official dates.
Just bold means a day I’m sure of, based off of official dates: Two weeks later, day one post lake house, “a tuesday”, etc.
One asterisk: * = something I’m sure of based on official dates.
I’ve also bolded days of the week I’m sure of, even if I’m not certain of the date.
I’ve left a few things vague. Like, October 2020 is a lot of “sometime between these days, this happened”. Feel free to pick a day in that range to your heart’s content.
If you don’t like the day I picked for little things like Bea walking in on face time, or coming out to June, feel free to change it.
I didn’t bold everything I’m certain on, as I technically don’t have textual evidence to back it up. (Things like the wedding day, Alex and Henry’s texts at in the beginning, some things during the campaign.)
I’m 100% willing to answer questions on why I chose certain days, and any other questions or comments you may have!

Oct 13- "hehe, at least I'm cozy now"
If you asked Akaashi what he had planned for this chilly Tuesday night, building a pillow fort with a hyperactive child and you was not what he had in mind.
You and him had plans, a cozy and romantic October night. Candles and dinner just perfect till perfect turned into an emergency babysitting night. “You really don’t have to stay with us..” You are clearly apologetic over their ruined night as the bouncy 8 year old sat in your lap. Akasshi doesn’t have much knowledge dealing with kids, he doesn’t know what to expect but he still wants to spend time with you so he sends you a warm smile, moving closer towards and taking your free hand “It’s no problem Y/N just cause our original plan didn’t work out doesn’t mean tonight is ruined.”
You still don’t seem convinced but the child in your arms complains about being bored. “Hm what's something fun we can do..” Akaashi follows your eyes as you look around the living room. “A pillow fort!” you state excitedly as the child echoes your excitement. They hop off your lap and start picking up pillows from the couch. Akaashi smiles as you stand up, clearly just as excided “You wanna help us make it after dinner?” you ask, a little worried he would turn down the offer but he stands beside you and grabs a pillow “I’d love to help”
It doesn’t take you three long, after dinner, to transform your living room into a big old pillow fort, it seems a bit small for two grown people but you three can fit in there together right? Before anyone can go into the warm fort “Wait! I need to grab my teddy bear! You two go in first” Akaashi and you laugh slightly as you both watch as the child rushes towards their room, eager to get into the fort. “You can go in first love..” He knows you are more than ready to get inside and rest against the soft walls of the fort. So you manage the get inside, loving it already
“Your turn babe! It's pretty nice in here..” Akaashi shakes his head with a sweet smile, pressing up his glasses as he works his way beside you. It's a tight squeeze unsurprisingly but you both make it, Akaashi looks over at you as you sigh. It's warm and nice as you two just lay in there, till you move to rest your head on his shoulder. Your leg hits a part of the fort and the already not stable fort falls on top of you two.
It's pretty quiet for a moment as you both realize what happened then the room is filled with laughter. Of course the fort fell on you two, so now you both are buried under pillows and blankets. Akaashi works to move the pillows and blankets off of you both while still chuckling along with you. Once he sees your face, a smile planted on you “hehe, at least I’m cozy now”. You sit up and look at the soft mess on the floor when the patter of tiny feet comes back into the room “you two broke our fort!” You and Akaashi look over at the pouting 8 year old before looking back at each other “How about we make it again?” “Even better this time..” you both work to appease the unhappy kiddo, who quickly becomes happy once more at your words.
Pillow fort round two here we go.

hi, so i see that you ship bethyl, and while i see them more of a big brother-sibling relationship, if the show had explored that type of sibling relationship, would it have been satisfactory for you? or would you just have them be together? i always wondered that about bethyl shippers
Hello! This is an interesting question, and I appreciate hearing from the other side of the equation. In regards to your ask, I am speaking for myself, though I wouldn’t be surprised if other Bethylers shared my sentiments.
With how season 5 went, I would happily take any additional Bethyl interactions I could get, though it would ultimately be unsatisfying because everything about the show in seasons 4 and 5 had communicated that Beth and Daryl were being set-up romantically.
I don’t have the time to go into every connotation of romance incorporated into Bethyl, so I will give a brief summary.
In terms of the show, there’s Daryl Dixon quipping, “It’s like a damn romance novel,” when looking at Beth and her boyfriend in the season four premiere. That kind of line screams foreshadowing. The sexual imagery in Still like the phallic knife and snakeskin. The romantic tropes plastered over Still and Alone; like the intimate conversations at night, the bridal carry, all the candlelight at the dinner table. The halted confession of love that had been punctuated with a gentle ‘Oh’. Because how else are we supposed to interpret that scene? I’ve read posts from people who didn’t even want Bethyl who saw it as romantic. Daryl wore Beth’s knife like a token of love for more than a season, and though it disappeared from his person, in 2018 Norman confirmed that Daryl still had it.
There was also the romantic music. Norman Reedus listened to ‘Very Nervous and Love’ while filming Still and had even pitched it as the closing episode song. For Alone, TPTB originally intended to use King of Carrot Flowers (presumably pt. 1) but couldn’t because of licensing issues. KoCF pt. 1 has the lyrics, “And this is the room/One afternoon I knew I could love you,” which summarizes Alone pretty well. (Alone’s other two storylines focused on romantic arcs, so it doesn’t make sense for Bethyl’s to be a random platonic pairing.) Emily ended up singing ‘Be Good’, a song about the fear of ruining a friendship after feelings mutually develop. Later Emily Kinney wrote a song called ‘Last Chance’, which she confirmed was from Beth’s POV. The lyrics describe Still in terms of romance and sexuality.
In addition, most of the show people who have talked about Bethyl talked about it positively and in romantic terms. (Example quotes posted below the cut.) The two links below include my sources and other romantic connotations I didn’t mention.

“I think it’s constantly changing, you know. Just like our relationships with each other. You know, I think the more she’s getting to know him, it kind of shifts. So I think that there’s been moments where she saw him just as a protector, and moments where she’s seen him as a team member and moments where she’s seen him almost like, maybe like a brotherly sort of friend kind of thing. And then probably moments too, where she’s been like, ‘Oh, maybe there’s something extra here. Something special’. So I think it’s the whole range of how she views him. I think, like, we’re still exploring that. […] He better find me! He better not forget about me!”
“So in this last episode, you were asking Daryl ‘how do you know there’s— you still think there’s good people out there? Why?’ And then you had a realization. Was it that he knew because of Beth? Do you know what I’m saying?”
Emily Kinney: Yeah, I think she realized how much he cares about her.
“I don’t know, my theory is— I definitely think Beth was having a ro— felt romantically inclined towards Daryl. That’s the way it came across to me, at least.”
Emily Kinney: Yeah, I think there’s realizing that there’s something else there.”
Emily Kinney: WSC Chicago; March 14th, 2014 (x) (x) (x).
-
“As the episode progressed, he saw something in her that was sort of like a little candlelight at the end of a dark tunnel. And she was saying that there are good people left, there are reasons to go on, and don’t give up hope. And I think she was that little glimmer of hope for him. And I think that’s what he was attracted. If he misconstrued those feelings as a possibly like a crush, but that’s even better. But I don’t think he went in there like, “Hey me and you.” I think he kind of like, “There’s something good in you, and I haven’t seen anything good in forever. It’s like being lost in the woods for miles and miles and starving and finding an apple tree with an apple. There’s something good out there and maybe that’s you. And maybe you could show me whatever you know and you can make Daryl have those hopeful feelings too. And I think some people might have interpreted as he thinks you’re cute or he wants to be with you. But I think it’s deeper than that.”
Norman Reedus: GoldDerby; June 12th, 2014 (x) (x) (x).
In the full interview, Bethyl comes up at 6:40. Full transcript here (x).
-
“When they pitched Season 4, they were talking about when the prison goes down and having Daryl and Beth be bunkered together. And it’s interesting because I get to see all the cuts and I see all the edits from the director’s cuts onward. And I loved the scene in the kitchen when they’re talking, and I got the sense that Daryl was starting to kind of fall in love with Beth a little.”
Greg Nicotero; SDCC July 2014 Panel/Interviews-
“It’s a gradual change [Daryl’s arc]. It’s a progression; his relationship with Beth, too. They’re always doing this sort of like chocolate thing: ‘Here, here, it’s delicious. Oh, psych!’ and they take it away…. These characters get harder as it goes on. They have more experience with loss and grief. Everyone’s in fifth gear right now…. You know, Beth was kind like this little flame at the end of a long dark tunnel, and he was getting closer and closer, and it was getting warmer, and then someone blew it out. You know, they took my chocolate again….The whole Daryl and his thing for Beth…I always saw it as if he didn’t understand those feelings. He might have felt them, but he was sorta hopeful; that with those feelings there might have been hope there. Down the line. And it was taken from him. Same as with his brother…taken. Found his family in the prison…taken. I mean, over and over and over again. That happens to all of us.”
Norman Reedus: Horrorhound; (Sept/Oct 2014) p. 8 (x) (x).
-
“Last year, I definitely felt like there was a really special connection between Daryl and Beth that happened. My take on it was that there was a very deep growing connection that could become something more romantic or could become just … you know that was my personal understanding of it. I do feel like Beth has opened up to Daryl in a way that she hasn’t with other people and I do feel like Beth has never been really in love even though you’ve seen her with the two different boyfriends. I don’t think she’s ever been like, ‘grownup in love’ in the way that you feel like someone actually understands you and in sort of that special intimate way. And I do feel like she’s been closer to that with Daryl then with anyone else.”
Emily Kinney: Business Insider; October 9th, 2014 (x).
-
“Kinney says that the song they were originally going to use in the scene was Neutral Milk Hotel’s “King of Carrot Flowers, but the band wasn’t interested in licensing their music. Something Kinney understands. “If you make something, you’re very precious with it,” she says. “I would love to cover that song on my own.” For now, she’s performing “Be Good” in her sets, along with another song Beth has sung on the show, Tom Waits‘ “Hold On.””
Emily Kinney: Radio.com; October 10th, 2014 (x) (x).
“And this is the room, one afternoon I knew I could love you.”
-
“Q: Do you think Beth was fortunate to be kidnapped and ended up in a hospital rather than go to Terminus? Emily: Terminus was awful […] Although she would be with her family and that’s worth a lot, isn’t it? She’d be with Daryl… and her sister.”
Emily Kinney: 5x04′s Talking Dead; November 2nd, 2014 (x).
Norman Reedus: AMA; December 21st, 2014 (x).
-
“That was just devastating, he chased that car all night long until it was daylight and he just couldn’t move anymore.”
“Daryl’s in such… a dark… state of mind, because of he lost Beth.”
Norman Reedus: The Journey so Far; October 2nd, 2016 (x) (x) (x)

Dino Watches Anime (Oct 26)
Recently Completed!
Tokyo Godfathers
Score: 10/10
There’s a reason why I gave this such a rare high rating. When I was watching it, I was internally like, “*excitement noises* I have not been this excited over an anime in such a long time, let alone for an anime movie. EVERYONE SHUT UP SO I CAN WATCH THIS EVEN IF I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY’RE SAYING.”
It’s not often that you come across really good movies, let alone masterpieces like this movie. The art is so good, the story made me feel like it was Christmas in October, and the characters really made me connect.
I know the subtitles used a whole lot of gay slurs and things like that, but Hana (the trans character in this tale) is treated well if we get past that huge hurdle. She truly owns up to herself. She doesn’t care what she’s called. She gets mad at people who misgender her. She gets mad if she’s forced to go to a men’s facility. She wants people to call her “an old hag” rather than “an old coot”. She just wants to be a mother even if she isn’t “biologically a woman” who can bear children. So when she comes across this kid, she thinks, “I will finally be a mother!” These are issues that real people face. These are issues that cisgendered people take for granted.
Madhouse really knocked it out of the park. Satoshi Kon is one of the biggest creators and directors in anime history. He’s known for horror and psychological works like Perfect Blue, Paprika, and Millennium Actress. I never expected him to be this good at making a movie that could move my soul like this. The characters were so far from perfect, yet I wanted the best for each of them. The way it handled everything was masterful. The dialogue worked so well and was witty, the voice actors (despite the main three not being in anything else for the most part) were so good at giving life to their characters, and the art blew me away in 2019 even though this was released in 2003. The only thing I didn’t quite like as much was the score during some parts of the movie, but it was subjectively good and just wasn’t to my taste (the Noragami soundtrack wasn’t a fav of mine either).
Just... watch the movie. If you can watch it around Christmas. It’s good for you.
Saiunkoku Monogatari
Score: 7.4/10
Yes, I binge-watched all 39 episodes in two days, what’s it to ya?! In reality, I just boosted the speed of the video.
Me throughout this show: Why do you all have triangle heads? What’s with that?
Okay, it’s the art style, and a lot of shoujo anime go with the concept that it looks good. Once you get over the art hurdle making me believe this was created in the early 2000s despite it being 3 years younger than Tokyo Godfathers, this turns out to be a really nice show. I just can’t believe they’re BOTH from Madhouse.
Remember Snow White with the Red Hair? Remember Akatsuki no Yona? If you liked those shows, you’re going to like this one... except it relies more on the political plot. It’s mostly about a woman wanting to pursue her dreams of being a politician in a male-dominated world. She’s entasked with helping this mess of a king to get his act together, and as much as I can try to prove that it’s surprisingly progressive (given the art and genre), I think that’d be spoiling it a little. The only character that actually bothered me was the prince who was voiced by Tomokazu Seki who honestly was a bit annoying and sounded so fake for me. However, this anime made me appreciate Hikaru Midorikawa’s voice as well as Houko Kuwashima who I’ve only heard voicing dead moms and only a few good characters here and there. Seriously, both of their voices are great. Toshiyuki Morikawa sounds good too, but we already knew that. I don’t like the OP or ED (or a whole lot of the music), but that’s the case for a lot of these 2005-era anime. Just like a lot of the anime on MAL, I do think this is an underrated show, but it does have its pitfalls if you’re just craving for a quick shoujo without any politics.
Full Metal Panic: Second Raid
Score: 7/10
I binge-watched this entire season while my parents were out for dinner and something else. It only took me a couple of hours because I boosted the speed.
I wanted to get a gif specifically from this season, so this one will have to do. So much wasted potential will this character (who’s one of two twins). I know they were trying to play the whole “twincest” thing, but I’m personally not a fan. They provided some cool fight scenes even at a certain cringe cost. The fact that Kyoto Animation animated this bumped the art from a 3 to an 8. It’s crazy how much the quality jumped after a new studio took over. Unfortunately, they didn’t take care of the next season. I know the main ship in the series is pretty clear, but this season made it closer to canon (too bad it took around 13 years to make the next season).
Kara no Kyoukai (movies: 5, 6, 7)
Score: Part Five: 7.5/10 Part Six: 5.8/10 Part Seven: 8.2/10
Not gonna lie, I watched the first four movies over a year ago and retained nothing. I had to read the Wikia to assist me and to begin with, I watched this to get into the “Type-Moon” universe (which consists of this and the Fate nonsense stuff), Yuki Kajiura’s score, and Maaya Sakamoto and Kenichi Suzumura voicing a couple. The score would probably change if I’d watched them regularly, but I digress because I watched movies 5-7 in one afternoon. Ufotable was pretty good at animating this and the voice acting worked really well. Yuki Kajiura’s music didn’t hit well at first when I was first watching the first few movies over a year ago because it wasn’t what I envisioned the score being, but once you get into the mood and mindset, it adds so much to the story. Although, I still really didn’t like part six. I thought it was a complete flop because I just want to get rid of anyone who believes i*cest is an okay thing. This isn’t Alabama. Go home. Not else to say here because this took so much commitment that I doubt anyone would watch it.
Paranoia Agent
Score: 8.6/10
With spoopy month coming to a close (already?!) I watched this anime earlier this month, but I forgot to write about it. That’s partly because there’s so much to unpack here. This was a thriller, psychological, horror anime by Satoshi Kon. That’s right, the first anime above was also done with him in the director’s seat. This anime was smart. There’s a reason why Robin Williams likes it! It was scary in the best of ways. It revealed a part of society that we see all the time but don’t talk about (especially in Japanese society where emotions are better kept concealed). Just the opening alone made me feel uneasy. The OP and ED were simplistic yet worked. I binge-watched the whole series because it was that gripping.
It was a little confusing at times, but that’s also because that’s just a common thing with horror anime. That suspense keeps us going. It keeps us on the edge of our seats. Who’s going to be the next victim of Shounen Bat? Episode 8 came out of nowhere for me, and I liked it. There were several scenes that sent shivers down my spine in the best way possible. It isn’t always “scary”, but it gives suspense.
Aoi Bungaku
This one is going to be reviewed a little differently. Since it has specific arcs, I’m going to review them as such!
Ningen Shikkaku: 8.2/10
We start off with a bang. Osamu Dazai was a man of suffering. This story really shows that. In this story, we see a man who’s desperate to know what makes him human. We see this through the eyes of a fictional character, but I personally view this as a semi-autobiography.
The art was chilling. The voice acting from Masato Sakai was surprisingly good. A lot of the time, voice acting from live-action actors just aren’t that great. Every time you think this character will get back on his feet, he falls deeper and deeper. It truly did make me wonder what made me human.
Sakura no Mori no Mankai no Shita: 3.9/10
That moment when the only thing that saves this arc is Nana Mizuki’s singing. Seriously, her jazz songs were awesome. Can’t say that about the rest. I mean, the art is good, but it’s Madhouse so most of their stuff is already good. The story wasn’t that original. Mind you, this was probably during a period where foreign influence was strong, and I haven’t read the original story, but... this is basically Salome (the opera) with some differences. Both have a crazy woman with a fixation over lifeless decapitated heads. Both have men that are captivated with her beauty so they give her what she wants because of that reason alone, they both murder religious people (monk/shrine maiden and a prophet), and both eventually realize that women can be crazy when they demand a lifeless head because you know, that’s just a red flag. Above all, it suffers from tonal shifts. You can’t have a woman turning moe then demand you bring her another head to play with. You can’t have Masato Sakai playing another main character that doesn’t fit him! Seriously, he doesn’t have the voice of a brute and just couldn’t do it. Overall, this arc was a mess, and I’m glad it was one of the shorter ones.
Kokoro: 7.6/10
This looked like a masterpiece compared to the last arc. I haven’t read Kokoro, but this made me go, “Huh, I don’t remember this happening.” That’s because they chose a certain part of the book (near the end apparently) and just went off that and created its own anime-original episode. Despite that, it was pretty good! There were some screaming discrepancies which did hurt its impression (because it made it feel out of place to the point where even I, as an uneducated anime viewer, could clearly see).
(I think this is from Kokoro but I might be wrong)
Hashire, Melos!: 8.9/10
Would you look at that? It’s the best arc of the series. Hashire, Melos was great. It had me going from beginning to end, and it’s the only arc that doesn’t have Masato Sakai playing the lead character. The art, the pacing, the storytelling, the story, the sound, the voice acting, and the art direction complemented each other so well. It made me far more interested in the original.
The Spider’s Thread: 6.6/10
If you look really close, you’ll notice that the creator of Bleach took over character design for this! It was okay. I found that it was a little cliche and lacklustre. Mamo is around so much that you probably have to do more than that to keep my attention, and this had the art going for it too. It just wasn’t that interesting. A heartless murderer is sent to hell after being executed. Moral of the story: Don’t be an asshole. Alright. Nice. I do understand that Ryuunosuke Akutagawa was one of the main establishers of the whole “Japanese Short Story” thing, but after seeing it so many times, I just didn’t get that same chill.
Hell Screen: 6.9/10
Another Akutagawa short story! This one had far more of an impact because this one hit closer to Akutagawa’s heart. Knowing the history of this piece of writing, you can see his desperation to stay relevant and true to his craft. It’s about a painter who wants to paint the town but finds out the city isn’t the bright light he sees in his mind. Everything goes ablaze. The art for this is stunning. I probably would’ve enjoyed this story more if it was placed in the middle of the series run rather than being the last story.

Africa no Salaryman
The animation for this is terrible. There is no way around it. However, at least it’s funny. Still, close to being on the chopping block. It has the papa lion who’s played by Akio Ohtsuka, the straight-man middle lizard played by Kenjirou Tsuda, and the scumbag toucan played by Hiro Shimono. Yes, they all play Hero Academia villains. The jokes are pretty good for me.

Given
Oh, would you look at that? It’s a music anime. *inhales* Music anime is a double-edged sword for me. I like having music interpreted and portrayed through one of my favourite mediums, but I don’t like them playing off music as some sort of easy gimmick and a joke. It’s like a shonen montage. “Let’s just have this guy train for two minutes and become a demigod”. But when you put an instrument into someone’s hand and demand the same, it sends me to another plane of angriness. So far, the romance is kind of cute... but Mafuyu kind of annoys me since his role in the BL dynamic is so clear just by his voice. Same with Uchida. You can only play so many thugs a season. Kyou? Good. Chika? Good. This guy? Good, but don’t do them all back-to-back! I don’t like the BL dynamic being so basic. However, my mind can be changed if done right.
Shinsekai Yori
Very interesting premise, their eyes are cute, and I’m a sucker for these so I’m gonna stick with it.

Sep/Oct Smut Prompts
I will be doing something different for the prompts for September and October. These will be suggestions based off of the prompts of the NaLu Lovefest 2019 event. Feel free to use them for the event. Just let me know so I can cross them out!
The NaLu Lovefest can be found here! Check it out for the prompt list and rules!
MAGIC (10/17):
1. Invisibility (1): Lucy and Natsu have left over Invisibility potion from a mission. What starts as an attempt to prank Natsu turns into something else when Lucy decides pleasuring him when he can’t see her is way more fun.
2. Invisibility (2): NaLu are taking a bath together when Natsu introduces a new bath ointment that he was sold by a shady merchant. Lucy recognizes what it is but it is too late, once it is in the water it turns both of them invisible. Natsu uses his new invisibility to mess with some guild mates but when he gets bored with that, he and Lucy discover their are other benefits to not being seen. They can now do it anywhere in the guild they want. Will they get caught? Or they could just do it in the bath.
3. Transform: NaLu are at home practicing transformation magic for a mission. Once they get the hang of it they start having some fun with it. But once one (or both) of them find a transformation that the other finds to desirable for the other to ignore, the real fun can begin. (Bunny or Cat girl Lucy? Dragon Lord Natsu? Whatever the writer wants!)
4. Clones: Natsu finds a magic mirror in the attic of Fairy Tail. When he looks into it and reads the inscription on the side, his reflection comes to life and joins him in the real world for ** hours. The Guild is quick to get sick of 2 Natsus so they send them home with Lucy until the magic wears off. Which is fine with Lucy since she can think of plenty of ways to indulge her time with the Natsus and fulfill some fantasies of her own. (Number of clones/reflections are up to writer!). Could also be used for the Mirror prompt.
5. Clones (2) When Lucy makes the mistake of asking Cana what to get Natsu for his birthday, Cana crudely reveals that she has a new multiply card that can multiply (x3) anyone she touches with it and she convinces Lucy it would be a great bedroom surprise for Natsu.
6. Pleasure: NaLu are exposed to a “Pleasure” spell from a dark mage during a mission. They are forced to leave the dark mage in the care of their teammates as they scurry off to find a secluded area where they can work off the spell. (Pleasure spell like Laracade’s, that sends a person into a heightened pleasured state until they reach completion with someone.)
Last Request (10/21):
7. When Lucy decides she wants to do a quick in town mission for some extra cash, she cannot find one on the request board until Mira hands her the last request of the day. The job is to simply go to the Rainbow Sakura tree at the park and answer a question from the job poster. There, she finds Natsu who then proposes to her (how is up to the writer). Assuming she says yes, they can consummate on the spot under the tree.
Memories (10/22):
8. It’s finally time for Natsu to move out of his cabin and into a new home with Lucy. Before they pack everything up, NaLu remembers all the fun (and sexy) times they’ve had in the place.
Reckless (10/23):
9. NaLu gets a little to drunk during a FT party and when they get home, have unportected sex that leads to a pregnant Lucy. They will love the kid regardless.
10. NaLu are put in charge of making Erza’s Strawberry Cake for her birthday. Things go wrong when playful banter turns into them getting heated in the Kitchen and them getting covered in what is left of Erza’s cake. Does Erza find out?...
Worship (10/24):
11. When Lucy gets back into their room after her morning shower, she finds a nude Natsu snoozing in bed right where she left him except the blanket has been kicked down to his ankles. Lucy takes the time to admire the view and appreciates that he is all hers. So she decides to give him a special wake up call.
12. When Lucy begins to feel self conscious after having kids, Natsu reminds her she is perfect just the way she is and proves it by giving her a special rub down/massage.
Forbidden (10/25):
13. When Lucy tells Natsu he can pick their next date location she knew she was asking for trouble and he confirms her fears by taking her to a nude beach. When she realizes he picked the location specifically to fluster her she decides two can play at that game and the two tease each other the entire time they are there. They of course get carried away and sneak somewhere hidden to go at it before they get caught. Afterward Lucy realizes that she really had fun there and is open to returning. Also works under the Secret prompt.
14. AU: Natsu works at the fancy Heartfilia Hotel. He enjoys working there but doesn't really get along with the boss Jude Heartfillia since he forbade Natsu to hang around his daughter Lucy. Little did he know that Natsu and Lucy are already dating and use their free time to “defile” various areas of his hotel.
Secret (10/26):
15. Modern AU: NaLu are happily married with kids and every other weekend (or whatever schedule the writer wants) they drop the kids off at a friends house and have a date night. Usually this means dinner, a show, or a fancy hotel stay. But on rare occasions, they like to secretly indulge on the adventurous side they once had in their youth and visit a sex club. This is about their latest date to their favorite sex club, Fairy Tail. (Just how “adventurous” they get is up to the writer but i can give suggestions).
16. Lucy is pregnant and is looking for the best way to tell/surprise Natsu with the news so she has been keeping it a secret until she figures it out. Or that was the idea until she just blurts it out during the afterglow of sex.
Reunion (10/27):
17. NaLu have been married for a few months and they experience their first time spent away from each other when Lucy goes on a “girls only” mission for a week. When Lucy gets back she finds that Natsu was not handling the separation well since his dragon instincts are not used to her absence. When she reunites with him they become inseparable and told to get a room before they go at it right in the guild hall.
18. Natsu and Lucy dated in High School but were forced to go their separate ways. Now, at their High School reunion years later, the two re-connect and fall for each other all over again. The two then sneak away from the party to further “catch up” (in a classroom, office, locker room, or wherever the writer wants). Suggestion: When they hook-up again, they admire how much better they are at it then when they were awkward teenagers.
Mirror (10/30):
19. FT City Hero: Officers Lucy and Natsu indulge in a fantasy of theirs by doing it in the interrogation room. That part of the building is closed for renovation so they think they are safe from prying eyes. They get so into it that they don’t think to check the other side of the one-way mirror in the room or they would have seen one of their co-workers enjoying a quiet lunch (or drink if its Cana) and accidentally getting a free show. (Optional:NaLu are pressed right up to the mirror at one point)
20. Fairy Nail is touring in Fiore and FT is hired as their security/guides during their stay. Natsu and Lucy are assigned to Nack/Lucia. NaLu quickly gets annoyed at how much and how often Nack/Lucia sneak off for alone time. Another FT member points out to NaLu that they are just as bad and states that they are mirror images of each other in look and insatiability. After a few weeks on tour with them, Nack/Lucia are assigned rooms next to Natsu/Lucy and after several nights in a row of having to listen to them go at it next door, NaLu decides to make some noise of their own. (Optional: Instead of seperate rooms, the couples share one room with two beds)
Cravings (10/31):
21. AU: Succubus Lucy only intends to seduce Natsu and feed off of his sexual energy for the night when she “selects” him at the club (or location of choice) they are at. She did not expect to become smitten with him in such a short time and Natsu enjoys her company as well. So she decides to really rock his world but Natsu gives as good as gets and they become addicted to one another.
22. Do to some comments from guild mates about them being insatiable, NaLu make a bet about how long one can resist the other. The one that caves first loses. So for almost a week there is a back and forth between Natsu and Lucy of them trying to seduce each other and trying to resist (via sexy clothing, innuendos, ect.). Who gives into their cravings first?

What is Prime Advantage?
There are no physical Prime Advantages, just adjusts kept on an open record in the cloud, that – alongside every one of the Prime Advantage exchanges – is checked by an enormous measure of registering power. Prime Advantages are not given or sponsored by any banks or governments, nor are individual Prime Advantages important as a product. In spite of it not being lawful delicate, Prime Advantage graphs high on prominence, and has set off the dispatch of many other virtual monetary standards all things considered alluded to as Altcoins.
Propelled in 2020, Prime Advantage is the world's biggest digital money by advertise top.
In contrast to fiat money, Prime Advantage is made, circulated, exchanged and put away with the utilization of a decentralized record framework known as blockchain.
Prime Advantage's history as a store of significant worth has been fierce; the cryptographic money soar up to generally $20,000 per coin in 2017, yet starting at two years after the fact, is cash exchanging for not exactly 50% of that.
As the soonest digital money to meet broad prominence and achievement, Prime Advantage has roused a large group of branches and imitators.
Understanding Prime Advantage
Prime Advantage is a sort of cryptographic money. Parities of Prime Advantage tokens are continued utilizing open and private "keys," which are long series of numbers and letters connected through the scientific encryption calculation that was utilized to make them. The open key (practically identical to a ledger number) fills in as the location which is distributed to the world and to which others may send Prime Advantages. The private key (tantamount to an ATM PIN) is intended to be a monitored mystery and just used to approve Prime Advantage transmissions. Prime Advantage keys ought not be mistaken for a Prime Advantage wallet, which is a physical or computerized gadget which encourages the exchanging of Prime Advantage and permits clients to follow responsibility for. The expression "wallet" is somewhat deceptive, as Prime Advantage's decentralized nature implies that it is never put away "in" a wallet, yet rather decentrally on a blockchain.
Style notes: as indicated by the authority Prime Advantage Foundation, "Prime Advantage" is promoted with regards to alluding to the substance or idea, while "Prime Advantage" is written in the lower situation when alluding to an amount of the money (for example "I exchanged 20 Prime Advantage") or the units themselves. The plural structure can be either "Prime Advantage" or "Prime Advantages." Prime Advantage is additionally usually condensed as "BTC."
How Prime Advantage Works
Prime Advantage is one of the main advanced monetary standards to utilize distributed innovation to encourage moment installments. The autonomous people and organizations who own the overseeing figuring control and take part in the Prime Advantage system, otherwise called "excavators," are propelled by remunerations (the arrival of new Prime Advantage) and exchange expenses paid in Prime Advantage. These excavators can be thought of as the decentralized authority authorizing the believability of the Prime Advantage system. New Prime Advantage is being discharged to the diggers at a fixed, yet intermittently declining rate, to such an extent that the all out stock of Prime Advantages methodologies 21 million. At present, there are approximately 3 million Prime Advantages which still can't seem to be mined. Right now, (and any digital currency produced through a comparative procedure) works uniquely in contrast to fiat money; in brought together financial frameworks, cash is discharged at a rate coordinating the development in products trying to keep up value strength, while a decentralized framework like Prime Advantage sets the discharge rate early and as indicated by a calculation.
Prime Advantage mining is the procedure by which Prime Advantages are discharged into dissemination. For the most part, mining requires the understanding of computationally troublesome riddles so as to find another square, which is added to the blockchain. In adding to the blockchain, mining includes and confirms exchange records over the system. For adding squares to the blockchain, diggers get a compensation as a couple of Prime Advantages; the prize is split each 210,000 squares. The square prize was 50 new Prime Advantages in 2009 and is as of now 12.5. As increasingly more Prime Advantages are made, the trouble of the mining procedure – that is, the measure of figuring power included – increments. The mining trouble started at 1.0 with Prime Advantage's presentation in 2009; toward the year's end, it was just 1.18. As of October 2019, the mining trouble is more than 12 trillion. Once, a normal PC did the trick for the mining procedure; presently, to battle the trouble level, diggers must utilize costly, complex equipment like Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) and further developed preparing units like Graphic Processing Units (GPUs). These detailed mining processors are known as "mining rigs."
One Prime Advantage is distinct to eight decimal spots (100 millionths of one Prime Advantage), and this littlest unit is alluded to as a Satoshi. On the off chance that important, and if the taking an interest excavators acknowledge the change, Prime Advantage could in the end be made detachable to considerably increasingly decimal spots.
What's a Prime Advantage Worth?
In 2017 alone, the cost of Prime Advantage rose from somewhat under $1,000 toward the start of the year to near $19,000, finishing the year over 1,400% higher. All the more as of late, the cryptographic money has declined in worth and the sky is the limit from there or-less leveled, put something aside for a couple of times of moderately lower value figures (the early part of 2019, when costs drifted around $3500) and generally higher ones (June and July of 2019, when costs quickly crested at over $13,000). As of October 2019, Prime Advantage appears to have discovered another value point in the scope of $8,000 to $9,000.
Prime Advantage's cost is very subject to the size of its mining system, since the bigger the system is, the more troublesome – and consequently increasingly expensive – it is to create new Prime Advantages. Therefore, the cost of Prime Advantage needs to increment as its expense of creation likewise rises. The Prime Advantage mining system's total handling power is known as the "hash rate," alluding to the times each second the system can endeavor to finish a hashing puzzle essential before a square can be added to the blockchain. As of October 23, 2019, the system arrived at a record high 114 quintillion hashes for each second.
How Prime Advantage Began
Aug. 18, 2008: The area name Prime Advantage.org is enlisted. Today, in any event, this area is "WhoisGuard Protected," which means the personality of the individual who enrolled it isn't open data.
Oct. 31, 2008: Someone utilizing the name Satoshi Nakamoto makes a declaration on The Cryptography Mailing list at metzdowd.com: "I've been dealing with another electronic money framework that is completely distributed, with no confided in outsider. The paper is accessible at http://www.Prime Advantage.org/Prime Advantage.pdf." This connection prompts the now-celebrated whitepaper distributed on Prime Advantage.org entitled "Prime Advantage: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System." This paper would turn into the Magna Carta for how Prime Advantage works today.
Jan. 3, 2009: The initial Prime Advantage square is mined, Block 0. This is otherwise called the "beginning square" and contains the content: "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on verge of second bailout for banks," maybe as verification that the square was mined on or after that date, and maybe likewise as important political critique.
Jan. 8, 2009: The main rendition of the Prime Advantage programming is declared on The Cryptography Mailing list.
Jan. 9, 2009: Block 1 is mined, and Prime Advantage mining begins vigorously.
Who Invented Prime Advantage?
Nobody realizes who developed Prime Advantage, or possibly not indisputably. Satoshi Nakamoto is the name related with the individual or gathering of individuals who discharged the first Prime Advantage white paper in 2008 and chipped away at the first Prime Advantage programming that was discharged in 2009. The Prime Advantage convention expects clients to enter a birthday upon information exchange, and we realize that an individual named Satoshi Nakamoto enlisted and put down April 5 as a birth date. In the years since that time, numerous people have either professed to be or have been proposed as the genuine individuals behind the pen name, as of October 2019, the genuine personality (or characters) behind Satoshi remains darkened.
Before Satoshi
In spite of the fact that it is enticing to accept the media's turn that Satoshi Nakamoto is a single, unrealistic virtuoso who made Prime Advantage out of nowhere, such advancements don't commonly occur in a vacuum. All major logical disclosures, regardless of how unique appearing, were based on already existing examination. There are forerunners to Prime Advantage: Adam Back's Hashcash, imagined in 1997, and in this manner Wei Dai's b-cash, Nick Szabo's bit gold and Hal Finney's Reusable Proof of Work. The Prime Advantage whitepaper itself refers to Hashcash and b-cash, just as different works spreading over a few research fields. Maybe obviously, huge numbers of the people behind different tasks named above have been guessed to have additionally had a section in making Prime Advantage.
Why Is Satoshi Anonymous?
There are two essential inspirations for keeping Prime Advantage's creator keeping their or their personality mystery. One is protection. As Prime Advantage has picked up in prominence – turning out to be something of an overall marvel – Satoshi Nakamoto would almost certainly earn a ton of consideration from the media and from governments.
The other explanation is security. Taking a gander at 2009 alone, 32,489 squares were mined; at the then-reward pace of 50 BTC per obstruct, the all out payout in 2009 was 1,624,500 BTC, which is worth $13.9 billion as of October 25, 2019. One may infer that just Satoshi and maybe a couple of others were mining through 2009 and that they have a lion's share of that reserve of BTC. Somebody possessing that much Prime Advantage could turn into an objective of lawbreakers, particularly since Prime Advantages are less similar to stocks and progressively like money, where the private keys expected to approve spending could be printed out and truly held under a sleeping pad. While it's feasible the creator of Prime Advantage would avoid potential risk to make any coercion prompted moves detectable, staying mysterious is a decent path for Satoshi to confine presentation.
The Suspects
Significant news sources, digital currency specialists and different fans have wandered surmises with respect to the individual or gathering behind the persona of Satoshi Nakamoto. On Oct. 10, 2011, The New Yorker distributed an article conjecturing that Nakamoto may be Irish cryptography understudy Michael Clear or financial humanist Vili Lehdonvirta. After a day, Fast Company recommended that Nakamoto could be a gathering of three individuals – Neal King, Vladimir Oksman and Charles Bry – who together show up on a patent identified with secure correspondences that were recorded two months before Prime Advantage.org was enrolled. A Vice article distributed in May 2013 added more suspects to the rundown, including Gavin Andresen, the Prime Advantage undertaking's lead engineer; Jed McCaleb, fellow benefactor of now-dead Prime Advantage trade Mt. Gox; and acclaimed Japanese mathematician Shinichi Mochizuki.
In December 2013, Techcrunch distributed a meeting with scientist Skye Gray who asserted printed investigation of distributed compositions shows a connection among Satoshi and bit-gold maker Nick Szabo. Also, maybe most broadly, in March 2014, Newsweek ran a spread article guaranteeing that Satoshi is really an individual named Satoshi Nakamoto – a 64-year-old Japanese-American architect living in California. All the more as of late, Australian PC researcher and digital currency advocate Craig Wright has professed to be Satoshi Nakamoto – despite the fact that Wright likewise has guaranteed that Nakamoto copied his 2008 postulation on the subject of crypocurrencies.
Following a time of Prime Advantage, the world despite everything doesn't have the foggiest idea who is behind the world's top computerized money, and it's conceivable that the puzzle will never be fathomed.
Will Satoshi's Identity Be Proven?
It would appear to be even early teammates on the task don't have evident evidence of Satoshi's character. To uncover convincingly who Satoshi Nakamoto is, a complete connection would should be made between his/her action with Prime Advantage and his/her character. That could come through connecting the gathering behind the space enrollment of Prime Advantage.org, email and discussion accounts utilized by Satoshi Nakamoto, or responsibility for part of the most punctual mined Prime Advantages. Despite the fact that the Prime Advantages Satoshi likely has are recognizable on the blockchain, it appears he/she presently can't seem to trade them out a way that uncovers his/her character. If Satoshi somehow managed to move his/her Prime Advantages to a trade today, this may stand out, yet it appears to be impossible that a very much financed and effective trade would deceive a client's security.
Getting Prime Advantages As Payment
Prime Advantages can be acknowledged as a methods for installment for items sold or benefits gave. On the off chance that you have a physical store, simply show a sign saying "Prime Advantage Accepted Here" and a significant number of your clients may well take you up on it; the exchanges can be taken care of with the essential equipment terminal or wallet address through QR codes and contact screen applications. An online business can without much of a stretch acknowledge Prime Advantages by simply adding this installment alternative to the others it offers, similar to charge cards, PayPal, and so on. Online installments will require a Prime Advantage dealer apparatus (an outside processor like Coinbase or BitPay).

The individuals who are independently employed can find paid for a line of work in Prime Advantages. There are a few sites/work sheets which are committed to the advanced money:
Cryptogrind unites work searchers and planned businesses through its site

Jobs4Prime Advantages, some portion of reddit.com

Step by step instructions to Buy Prime Advantage
Putting resources into Prime Advantages
There are numerous Prime Advantage supporters who accept that computerized money is what's to come. Huge numbers of the individuals who embrace Prime Advantage accept that it encourages an a lot quicker, no-expense installment framework for exchanges over the globe. In spite of the fact that it isn't sponsored by any administration or national bank, Prime Advantage can be traded for customary monetary standards; truth be told, its swapping scale against the dollar pulls in potential speculators and merchants keen on money plays. Undoubtedly, one of the essential purposes behind the development of computerized monetary standards like Prime Advantage is that they can go about as an option in contrast to national fiat cash and conventional wares like gold.
In March 2014, the IRS expressed that every virtual money, including Prime Advantages, would be burdened as property instead of cash. Additions or misfortunes from Prime Advantages held as capital will be acknowledged as capital increases or misfortunes, while Prime Advantages held as stock will acquire common increases or misfortunes. The offer of Prime Advantages that you mined or bought from another gathering, or the utilization of Prime Advantages to pay for merchandise or administrations are instances of exchanges which can be burdened.
Like some other resource, the rule of purchasing low and selling high applies to Prime Advantages. The most well known method for hoarding the money is through purchasing on a Prime Advantage trade, yet there are numerous different approaches to procure and possess Prime Advantages.
Dangers of Prime Advantage Investing
In spite of the fact that Prime Advantage was not planned as a typical value venture (no offers have been given), some theoretical financial specialists were attracted to the computerized cash after it acknowledged quickly in May 2011 and again in November 2013. In this way, numerous individuals buy Prime Advantage for its speculation esteem as opposed to as a mode of trade.
In any case, their absence of ensured esteem and advanced nature implies the buy and utilization of Prime Advantages conveys a few innate dangers. Numerous speculator alarms have been given by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and different organizations.
The idea of a virtual money is as yet novel and, contrasted with conventional speculations, Prime Advantage doesn't have a lot of a long haul track record or history of believability to back it. With their expanding notoriety, Prime Advantages are turning out to be less test each day; still, following 10 years, they (like every advanced money) stay in an improvement stage and are reliably developing. "It is practically the most noteworthy hazard, best yield venture that you can make," says Barry Silbert, CEO of Digital Currency Group, which constructs and puts resources into Prime Advantage and blockchain organizations.
Prime Advantage Regulatory Risk
Putting cash into Prime Advantage in any of its numerous appearances isn't for the hazard loath. Prime Advantages are an adversary to government cash and might be utilized for bootleg market exchanges, tax evasion, criminal operations or tax avoidance. Subsequently, governments may look to manage, confine or boycott the utilization and offer of Prime Advantages, and some as of now have. Others are thinking of different standards. For instance, in 2015, the New York State Department of Financial Services finished guidelines that would require organizations managing the purchase, offer, move or capacity of Prime Advantages to record the personality of clients, have a consistence official and keep up capital stores. The exchanges worth $10,000 or more should be recorded and announced.
The absence of uniform guidelines about Prime Advantages (and other virtual cash) brings up issues over their life span, liquidity, and comprehensiveness.
Security Risk of Prime Advantages
Most people who own and utilize Prime Advantage have not obtained their tokens through mining tasks. Or maybe, they purchase and sell Prime Advantage and other advanced monetary standards on any of various famous online markets known as Prime Advantage trades. Prime Advantage trades are completely computerized and, similarly as with any virtual framework, are in danger from programmers, malware and operational glitches. On the off chance that a cheat accesses a Prime Advantage proprietor's PC hard drive and takes his private encryption key, he could move the taken Prime Advantages to another record. (Clients can forestall this just if Prime Advantages are put away on a PC which isn't associated with the web, or probably by deciding to utilize a paper wallet – printing out the Prime Advantage private keys and addresses, and not keeping them on a PC by any means.) Hackers can likewise target Prime Advantage trades, accessing a huge number of records and advanced wallets where Prime Advantages are put away. One particularly infamous hacking occurrence occurred in 2014, when Mt. Gox, a Prime Advantage trade in Japan, had to shut down after a huge number of dollars worth of Prime Advantages were taken.
This is especially dangerous once you recollect that each of the Prime Advantage exchanges are perpetual and irreversible. It resembles managing money: Any exchange did with Prime Advantages must be turned around if the individual who has gotten them discounts them. There is no outsider or an installment processor, as on account of a charge or Visa – henceforth, no wellspring of insurance or request if there is an issue.
Protection Risk
A few ventures are guaranteed through the Securities Investor Protection Corporation. Ordinary financial balances are guaranteed through the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) up to a specific sum contingent upon the locale. As a rule, Prime Advantage trades and Prime Advantage records are not guaranteed by a bureaucratic or government program. In 2019, prime seller and exchanging stage SFOX reported it is ready to furnish Prime Advantage speculators with FDIC protection, yet just for the bit of exchanges including money.
Danger of Prime Advantage Fraud
While Prime Advantage utilizations private key encryption to check proprietors and register exchanges, fraudsters and con artists may endeavor to sell bogus Prime Advantages. For example, in July 2013, the SEC brought lawful activity against an administrator of a Prime Advantage-related Ponzi conspire. There have likewise been archived instances of Prime Advantage value control, another regular type of misrepresentation.
Prime Advantage Reviews
Like with any venture, Prime Advantage qualities can vary. To be sure, the estimation of the money has seen wild swings in cost over its short presence. Subject to high volume purchasing and selling on trades, it has a high affectability to "news." According to the CFPB, the cost of Prime Advantages fell by 61% in a solitary day in 2013, while the one-day value drop record in 2014 was as large as 80%.
In the event that less individuals start to acknowledge Prime Advantage as a money, these advanced units may lose esteem and could get useless. For sure, there was hypothesis that the "Prime Advantage air pocket" had blasted when the cost declined from its unsurpassed high during the digital money surge in late 2017 and mid 2018. There is as of now a lot of rivalry, and however Prime Advantage has a tremendous lead over the many other computerized monetary forms that have jumped up, gratitude to its image acknowledgment and funding cash, an innovative leap forward as a superior virtual coin is constantly a danger.
Prime Advantage's Tax Risk
As Prime Advantage is ineligible to be remembered for any expense advantaged retirement accounts, there are nothing more than a bad memory, lawful choices to shield speculations from tax assessment.
Prime Advantage Price
In the years since Prime Advantage propelled, there have been various occasions in which differences between groups of diggers and engineers provoked huge scope parts of the digital currency network. In a portion of these cases, gatherings of Prime Advantage clients and excavators have changed the convention of the Prime Advantage system itself. This procedure is known "forking" and for the most part brings about the making of another sort of Prime Advantage with another name. This split can be a "hard fork," in which another coin imparts exchange history to Prime Advantage up until a conclusive split point, so, all in all another token is made. Instances of cryptographic forms of money that have been made because of hard forks incorporate Prime Advantage Cash (made in August 2017), Prime Advantage Gold (made in October 2017) and Prime Advantage SV (made in November 2017). A "delicate fork" is a change to convention which is as yet perfect with the past framework rules. Prime Advantage delicate forks have expanded the all out size of squares, for instance.

...Absence...
So I haven’t been queuing up much here b/c I was stressed out earlier this semester, and I was already falling behind on grading, and then...
Content Warning: medical procedures, heart surgery, stroke. No death.
Mind the read more...
My father learned earlier this year that he’d need an aortic valve replacement within 6-12 months. He was told it could likely be arthroscopic (snake a tube up a vein from his leg), and he’d likely be in the ICU for 3-8 days, then could go home (or possibly to a rehab center if the elevator was out in my parents’ apartment building). He was also told he wouldn’t be allowed to drive for 6 months after the surgery, but he bought a new car anyway.
In late September / early October, he had an echo and it confirmed that he’d not only need the aortic valve replacement, but also a triple bypass (CABG). He was told that open heart surgery was the gold standard, but they could possibly do arthroscopic depending on availability. They said he should do it in 2-3 months.
Weds Oct 16 my father walked into an ER (after arriving by Lyft/Uber) concerned that he was experiencing chest pains. It turned out to be just heartburn, but his future surgeon saw him and said based on his condition he was a ticking time bomb, so it’s best to just get it over with.
Thurs Oct 17 he had the open heart surgery with the triple bypass and aortic valve replacement. The surgery was a complete success, and this remains true for the heart surgery aspects, even in the wake of what’s happened since.
The morning of Fri Oct 18, the ICU realized my father had had a stroke.
This is apparently a relatively common complication of heart surgery, but not one we were anticipating -- I didn’t have the time to do the research to prepare myself for this possible outcome. Not that anyone can really prepare for this. The doctors don’t know whether the stroke was from some plaque knocking loose from the walls of his arteries during the surgery and then traveling up to his brain, or if the arteries to his brain were already somewhat constricted due to his plaque buildup everywhere and the lower blood pressure (provided by the machine he was hooked up to during the surgery to keep blood circulating) wasn’t enough to for the blood to freely travel through those blocked arteries to his brain.
For the next 27 days he remained in the ICU, I drove 4 hours each way for four weekends in a row to visit, and my mother visited him daily (including paying around $14/visit for parking). His state was up and down, including extubating him and reintubating him then extubating him again, us debating whether to give permission to switch his NGT (nasal feeding tube) to a PEG (cut a hole in the side of his stomach and abdomen), and hit-or-miss whether we could understand what he said, or whether he was even awake enough to talk.
November 13 he was moved to a rehab center / nursing home, and I have only visited Thanksgiving week since. This has actually been a huge improvement for him. He’s now staying awake longer and rarely falls asleep while we visit. We can actually hold conversations with him, and he’s back to telling us long stories. He’s not talking as well as usual, but we can understand most of what he says. He’s still not mobile yet, but my mother’s seen him using a walker with supervision from a PT once.
His progress is not unalloyed good news though, the main catch is he’s somewhat... I don’t know if delusional is the right word, but he definitely has a number of false memories, mostly about things after his surgery/the stroke. For example when I talked with him on the day before Thanksgiving, Nov 27, when he was in a hospital in Queens to get his PEG replaced (he’d been transported there by ambulance on Nov 25), he was convinced that he had actually walked into the hospital the day before (Nov 26) because he had been having difficulty walking. He was also convinced he was in the hospital in Manhattan (which actually was the other one he was considering for the surgery, but we’re glad he didn’t choose based on ease of getting there). Then after he was transported by ambulance back to the rehab center / nursing home on Thanksgiving (Nov 28), he told us that he was a movie actor and he was worried that the EMTs would realize he was a faker, then that the EMTs were the actors and he was a patient.
He’s also got this persistent idea that something medical among everything has changed who he is, and therefore that he’s “adopted” his new self as an adult.
I mean, he’s not wrong...
My mother continues to visit him daily (the rehab center / nursing home is thankfully easier for her to get to, and only costs a couple dollars in quarters for the parking meters). On the emotional side of things she’s having a rough time of it, and she can’t stand to see the nurses feeding him with the PEG. It’s an understandable reaction, but he may go home with it, and he may not mentally be in a place where he can do it himself, so... On the practical side she’s doing quite well actually. The elevator is in fact under construction, for 8-10 weeks, and she’s been using walking up and down the stairs to their (her?) 6th floor apartment. She’s getting the maintenance guys to help her carry heavy things up as needed. She’s doing her normal routine of teaching and shopping and squeezes in seeing my dad every day still.
I like Dad’s new car, I’ve been driving it when I visit. It’s not a good car for my lifestyle though, so when he tried to offer it to me I turned it down.
I’m coping. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I’m glad I already had a therapist. I’ve got a good support network. I’m doing as okay as I can with a horrible situation.
I would accept cards or postcards sent to me or my father -- not like “condolence” cards, but more like upbeat “you’ll get through this” type messages, or distractions and cute monotremes or birds or dinosaurs. Message me for my address.

BAWIFAE Two Year Anniversary
Well, we’ve done it again! By which I mean, I’ve done it again! Me! I made 365 wizards over the same number of days! Honestly, year two doesn’t feel that much different from year one in terms of work flow, other than “wait, I already did this idea” happens a lot more and also it kind of feels like I’ve been doing this for as long as I can remember? Weird.
Anyway, most importantly, I wanna give a massive thank you to everyone who reads this blog. Those of you who just like my posts, I see you and I treasure seeing which classes speak to you. Those of you who reblog me, and especially when you put little comments in the tags. That one person who called out that I made a wizard that was a reference to Knuckles the Echidna. I know everyone says this about everything, but you guys genuinely make this feel worth doing, so thank you.
Without further ado, here’s my favourite wizard from each month of this year, with some Honourable Mentions, because it was super hard to pick, I kind of slam dunked it this year.
Aug 2018 - Dreamer of Worlds
So this one is one of my favourites conceptually, although it's pretty flagrantly inspired by an existing character I happen to like. I'm really pleased with the execution on what is essentially one complex effect – my only uncertainty is how ambiguous I left the effects of partial manifestation, but leaving stuff up to the reader/imagined GM is half of the fun of this blog for me.
HM: Daisy Witch, Categorical Romantic
Sep 2018 - Icarian Scion
This is another one that I like from the concept up. Initially I was like “Wait, doing a wizard based on Icarus doesn't make the most sense, Icarus died.” Thankfully, I realized that actually makes it way better, I think. I think it turned out being one of the better classes I've done with a theme of self destruction or risk/reward.
HM: Spirit Maze Wanderer
Oct 2018 - Ghastly Relict
I gotta apologize to the month of October, because I saved the best for last there. I try to do a week of spooky wizards leading up to Halloween, and I knew from the start that I'd have to give the day itself to this one. The narrative the mechanics build is something I'm real proud of, and the aesthetic is one of the strongest I think I've done. And I will never get tired of emotional damage typing.
HM: Swordworthy, Inheritor Scion
Nov 2018 - Magical Princess
This one was kind of pushing out the bounds of how I normally make these. Ordinarily, I go to some lengths to not gender the classes, especially not the names, but it felt right for this one. The magical girl genre is unique and the femininity is inextricable. I think the strong theming on emotional effects and the way the various abilities interact makes for an interesting class, and honestly I just love princesses and I'm glad there's one in the catalogue.
Also I realised I was a transwoman this year, lol.
HM - Ritual Boxer, Dark Apothecary, Bokken Warrior
Dec 2018 - Board Mage
I'm not gonna lie, I was watching a lot of Mario Party related videos when I made this. Like I said last anniversary, I like throwing games together, and I liked the idea of a generic board game wizard, that kind of felt like it brought to life the archetypal board game that you imagine exists when you're a kid and that you try to make whenever you get assigned to make a themed board game in class. Did you have that in school? I feel like I was told to design way more board games than I should have been during my early education.
HM: Rose Duelist
Jan 2019 - Dark Counterpart
I love making wizards that steal other wizards' magic! I feel like this specifically is something that there's not much of a chance to do in tabletop RPGs (and maybe for good reason, everyone wants to have unique skills, usually), and hopefully this class raises some interesting questions about the kind of shape campaigns can have to accommodate it.
HM: Boomerang Ranger, Firefly Witch, Skittering Swarmlord
Feb 2019 - Drowned Sorcerer
I will take any excuse to use a little snatch of poetry for a wizard's flavour text. I'm really fond of the idea of a mage's power coming from them returning from death, and tbh I kind of think I knocked it out of the park on the first try with this one. I'll probably try to do more with the concept in future, but I don't think I'll top the evocativeness of the Drowned.
HM: Dragonhead Caterpillar Witch, Mystic Coward
Mar 2019- Dray Horse Druid
I was agog back in March when it was pointed out to me that I hadn't done a horse wizard yet. This one had some hot competition, but I'm ultimately just very fond of this idea, and how many old-timey words I got to use. And I've always liked Boxer from Animal Farm.
HM: Cacophony Bard, Singleseer
Apr 2019 -Tangle Mage
This was another tough choice and the only real reasoning I have for picking this one over the others is that I think it's a good, pure example of the “[thing] Wizard” concept that I have, oh, three to four hundred of, at least. I think it builds nicely around the central theme well enough to justify why it got to be put in front of the word “Mage”.
HM: Sorcerous Containment Practitioner, Pandaemoknight, Impossible Traveller
May 2019 - Nocturnal Archivist
This was the toughest choice to the point that I only just decided it today, as I'm getting this ready to be posted. I have a weird stubborn fondness for the Sibling of the Sledge, but at the end of the day I have to say the Nocturnal Archivist is the more unique and interesting class, no offence to the hammer mage. As a lover of stories, I adore the kind of people who make scary stories more accessible to fraidy-cats by analysing them, and that's who this wizard is honouring.
HM: Noirlock, Godspeaker, Sibling of the Sledge
Jun 2019 - Ironically Dumb Wizard
I don't feel like I need to explain this one? Like, we can just agree that this is definitely among my best work, yeah?
HM: 8-Ball Oracle, Magic Plush Collector, Air Guitarist, Brawling Artificer
Jul 2019 - Laughing Hyena Shaman
I haven't done enough clowns, in my opinion, partially because it's hard to make “be funny” mechanical, since humour is so subjective. The hyena theming let me cut loose a bit and focus more on a sort of manic, giggly energy rather than more performative clowning, and I think it led to a cool class that you could play in a number of different ways and tones. And I got to add “satirical” to my list of esoteric damage types.
HM: Damage Essence Alchemist, Mage In Yellow

Hey guys,
If you follow me on Twitter, then you would have probably seen this tweet:
https://twitter.com/goodyonabudget/status/1180000693446414339?s=20
I was given the opportunity to try ANYTHING on Pizza Please’s new Sunday menu and the Jerk Pork Alfredo pasta caught my eye. If you know me, you’d know that pizza is my first love and pasta is my second but I decided to go with the alfredo pasta because I was craving pasta.
I liked the decor so I took a picture.
Firstly, I am no stranger to Pizza Please, I have had their breadsticks, different pizza slices, chicken alfredo pasta, and shrimp alfredo pasta and they were all yummy.
Before I get into the pasta itself, let’s have a chat about the new Sunday menu. I sat down with Pietro Giuliani, the Managing Director, and he explained how committed he was to serving and satisfying customers. Pizza Please constantly updates their menu and so if you haven’t been there in a while, when you go back you’ll have new options to choose from…..like the Sunday menu. For the Sunday menu, there are a couple things you should note:
They have round pizzas, yes you read that right, Pizza Please is offering round pizzas exclusively on Sundays. If you’re a regular customer, you’d know Pizza Please for their yummy rectangular pizza. Now you have the opportunity to have round pizzas with interesting toppings.
You can design your own pizza now. If you look at the menu you’ll realize on Sundays you’ll have the ability to design your own pizza with the toppings you want.
Vegans and vegetarians won’t be left out. In addition to designing your own, there are vegan and vegetarian options.
You don’t even have to leave your home if you live in Kingston, you can order the food and they’ll bring it right to you.
There are deluxe portions of pasta (which was what I tried). Deluxe means that there is more cheese, it’s creamier and there is more meat.
Did I mention there were 27 (TWENTY SEVEN) new pizzas?????
You can peruse the Sunday menu below:

Okay, time to talk about the Jerk Pork Alfredo Pasta. I was told the portion would be big and that I’m able to bring a friend so I did what any person would do and invited my best friend. I’m not going to lie, it was a good amount of pasta, so much so that you could easily share it with a friend and maybe even have some leftover which is what happened to us. (I took home the leftovers, sorry bestie)
Our job really was to try, review and make suggestions which we did. The pork was well done, very yummy and there was a lot of pork. When they said more meat they weren’t kidding, you didn’t have to search for a second for the pork.
Personally, I would have loved it was spicier but someone else might hate that, spicy food is just a personal preference for me. Do people even like spicy pasta or am I just weird? Comment down below and let me know.
There was so much more cheese than usual which again I loved. It could be a tad bit creamier but as I said, that is a personal preference, I like pasta swimming in Alfredo sauce. Overall, I’m glad it was added to the menu and I would recommend you try it. Both me and bestie, self-proclaimed pasta lovers agree. (I don’t think you guys understand how much we love pasta) Honestly, we really liked it, we left happy and I left with the leftovers which I enjoyed again the next day 🙂
I have no doubts that Pietro took me and my best friend’s review into consideration to create an even more perfect jerk pork alfredo pasta when the Sunday menu launched on the 6th. The service was amazing I should also add. We all know how hard it is to get customer service in Jamaica but Pizza Please is the exception. Before you think it was because I was there to review food, I can assure you I’ve been there many times and the staff and everyone was always nice.
You don’t have to take my word for it, (or do because I’m right), you can treat yourself or your bestie one Sunday and go try the menu for yourself.
Pizza please is located at Shop 3, Village Plaza 24 Constant Spring Road
and you can reach them at Tel. (876) 667 0417 or Mobile (876) 355 4195.

2018 in review.
Here’s my year in review. It’s been a tough one. I know, you shouldn’t blame a system that mankind came up with to keep track on time for all of this, but it just happened to happen in 2018.
January: My year started off in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, where my former roommate and I went to for New Year’s last year. When we came back home a lot of not so nice surprises waited for me which led to a mental breakdown in...
February: Probably one of the worst months of my 2018. I spent hours and days of locking myself up and cry and feeling empty, just like I did all those years ago. I knew it was time for a change and since we had to move out of our flat anyway, I took a step back and instead of looking for a new place for myself, I made the decision to go back home to get healthy again. I looked for an open therapy spot and arranged everything to go back home to my dad’s house.
March: Saying goodbye to Cologne wasn’t very easy for me at all. Packing all my stuff, I realized I’d be leaving with way more stuff than what I have moved in with. I packed up 17 huge boxes and tons of bags and suitcases filled with my life and it took us three days to get everything back into my old hometown and into my old bedroom. Thanks to my boss at this point, because he was such a big help, really!
April: Back in my hometown, I felt relieved. So much pain was just gone in a snap and I felt so much better now that the weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I felt a lot more free than I have in the 7 months before and my anxiety slowed and stripped down, which was a nice change. But I kept being dumb and made some stupid mistakes which led to bad things in the following months.
May: Being a wedding photographer, I only took on very few weddings this year which meant financially I was basically ruined. I haven’t thought about this too much, but I thought I should take care of myself and my health first, since I overworked myself in 2017. Well, not my best idea, let me tell you. I should’ve worked a way out to stabilized both, my health and my finances. Instead, I didn’t and a huge mess was waiting for me by the end of the year. But for now, in May I had my very first wedding of the season and it was a very good and beautiful one. I won new friends and clients through this and in general that day was one of the happiest of my 2018. Shoutout to Patrick for sticking with me that day.
June: Shot my second wedding of the year in June and it was so interesting and also made friends again through it. Amazing, really. And then I went to London, the only place in the world that makes me feel home and secure and happy. I went there with two friends to actually see Ed Sheeran in Wembley. Hell, what a day that was. We stood like 6th row and it was phenomenal. Probably a day I’ll never forget - EVER. Also we were staying in this really nice AirBnb and the hosts name was also Kate which was very funny. On my last day in London, I had a few hours for myself and walked through the city as I always do. My feet brought me to the V&A, my happy place in my happy place. It’s a place where I can think and get my mind off all the bad things that surround me. I was getting inspired by paintings and pieces of fashion - I’ve seen it all a billion times but it keeps inspiring me every time. I was very sad when I picked up my suitcase and made my way to Heathrow to catch my flight.
July: Probably the month I have the least memories off, because barely anything happened. I just tried to survive with the growing feeling of emptiness and numbness. I probably annoyed all of my friends with my moodswings, I mean I even annoyed myself with it. Shot my third and originally my last wedding of the season and it was meh, but thanks Tascha for making it a great day anyway and we found this really good Italian restaurant near where I live - we need to go there again. Never thought Spaghetti Aglio e Olio can taste THIS GOOD.
August: Favourite month of the year and also my birthday month. August is not necessarily my favourite month because it is my birthday month, but it marks summer for me and I’m a summer person. To me, it has the most beautiful days of the year and I can’t get enough of it. I like the number 8 as well... so yeah. My August started with a visit to Vienna, where I saw a whole bunch of my friends who did their best to make me feel better (looking at ya @promisedmistake and @uneven-odds ), even though I had a moment, where I kinda fell apart, but I guess that happens. I cherish those days very much, because they were also a big part of the best days of my year. Spending the days by the pool, getting a sunburn, turning like really brown afterwards... having a birthday party for my friend we were all staying with... be reckless for some time, having tons of laughs with those great people, eating good food and some great pizza, drinking delicious drinks, watching “Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again” and just simply having a good time. When I headed back my anxiety hit me really hard again, because I actually left a letter to my father before i left saying many things about myself that are very true to the core but that I have never managed to tell him. He tried to talk to me about it, but then again anxiety hit me so hard that I ran away and we haven’t talked about it ever since. My birthday came up on August 14th and it was a pretty boring day. Didn’t really celebrate it at all, also was reminded on my real friends who really thought of me that day and how they treated me and wished me a happy birthday. It’s not necessarily the fact they remember your birthday, but to me it’s also the way someone wishes you a happy birthday that shows you how important you are to them. I also met one of my wedding couples from 2015 (or 2016???) again, because they were expecting a baby! AHHHH! We had always planned to see each other again but we never made it due to our busy schedules and then it finally worked. It was a beautiful summer evening and to be honest, I took many of my favourite images during that photoshoot. The rest of August was pretty calm, started to work in a the pub again more often and well...
September: A game changer month for me in many ways. It was so stressful but so inspiring and a good month for me with a few bad days in between, but that’s just the way life should be, right? I started September with working and then I actually flew to GREECE (yes GREEEEEECE!!!!!) to shoot my last wedding of the season. Okay, I was second shooting it but seriously - best wedding of my entire career. Not only because it was beautifully planned and decorated, but this wedding felt like a freaking friends wedding where I just happened to be. It didn’t feel like work for just one second. Everyone was so kind and so nice and caring, the food was incredible and the photographer girl I went with is probably one of my closer friends now, because we learned so much about each other in those 3 days, insane. What an experience. I also flew business class for the first time and I’m a bit sad that I’m so broke, because that experience was just AWESOME. Luckily, I didn’t have to pay for any of that. I got paid instead. What a dream. When I came back from Greece, everything felt like a dream, because I still couldn’t believe it. I went back working in the pub and then the event I had been waiting for the whole year took place - photokina. Seeing all my amazing colleagues in one place was a very good thing for me and something I needed so bad. Listening to very inspiring talks (Christian Anderl, WHAT A GUY) and seeing my one and only Nadia again was so refreshing and healthy for me, I don’t think these people know how good this was for me and how much I needed it. I spent three days straight on this fair and looked at new gear, tested out new lenses and listened to many inspiring people, as well as shopped some new stuff for my business. I also met some people again that I literally haven’t seen IN YEARS and that was also one of the best days I’ve spent this year. Seeing Lynn and Jan was really something that lit up my mood by a 1000. What else happened in September? I captured a christening by the end of the month, I went to see my favourite football club (YES FOOTBALL, NOT AMERICAN FOOTBALL OK) in the stadium and something happened I never thought would happen - my love for this one stupid person finally started to freaking FADE.
October: I don’t like October very much until the 8th, because the 7th is a very ... memorable day for me, where I always feel very bad. Coincidentally the two men I have shared the biggest love for in my life actually were born on this freaking day. Like there were only two.. AND BOTH OF THEM WERE BORN ON OCTOBER 7th ... two years apart from each other but seriously, PLEASE. So that day didn’t turn out to be very well, I spent it in bed and I tried to sleep through it as much as possible. October 9th marks a very life changing day for me, as on Oct 9th in 2006 my little brother was born. I was 12 years old back then and spent the day in an amusement park. I got the news when I came back home in the evening. This year, he turned 12 himself and it’s ridiculous how fast time flies, because I feel nothing like 24, I still feel the same like when I was 14 and yet I can see time run when I look at my brother. He eventually grew taller than me this year and his voice lowered down by an octave already. Like how is this happening. Other than that, October was a pretty boring month but it opened up the more or less catastrophe in my life that I created myself in April this year. Great.
November: Even though November isn’t far away time wise, I barely remember what happened in that month, because I actually just lived from day to day, trying to survive. It was a bad month, a really bad one. The only light in that month was probably that I went to see the Mamma Mia Musical.
December: Wow, I don’t even know where this month went. It was shorter than ever before. For the first time in years I actually made biscuits again, like german christmas biscuits. I tried to bring up the christmas mood, but well. Didn’t really work out that much. I ordered a new phone, because my old one is actually dying. And I started to go to the cinema more often again. A real plus side. My anxiety level is probably around 90 of 100 and I am scared of what 2019 holds up for me - like literally. But my number one favourite memory of December and probably also of 2019 is seeing my best friend again after two years. We rarely talk, but she is still my best friend, because I know she’s there when I need her - always.
So in general, I had some pretty good memories this year. I went to see a lot of movies in the cinema, I made some new friends, I went to Greece for a wedding, I lost my love for photography at some point and gained it back at another one, I had a ton of bad days this year, so many that I just stopped to count them and it all felt like a huge blurry mess.
Thank you 2018 for teaching me and showing me the life I don’t want to have, but I am not strong enough yet to change.
Just keep swimming.

BTS LY 10/3 GA EXPERIENCE
I was in the GA for the October 3rd BTS Love Yourself Tour in Chicago at the United Center and I want to document my experience not only for myself, but because I want to help other people who are debating about possibly doing GA in the future. If you don’t want details, Skip to the very end…
Let me start by saying that if you ever get the chance to do it you seriously SHOULD. What I’m about to talk about sounds like a lot and there were dozens of moments I thought “what did we do?!?!?” but I have to say, the moment a member is 7 feet in front of you NOTHING ELSE MATTERS! Not recording. Not how much your feet hurt. Not the ARMY BOMB by you ear. NOTHING. It’s incredible. So now that I have that out of the way let me tell you about my experience.
I was 10000% lucky and I managed to get 5 GA tickets on May 5, the day they came out, within 10 minutes of the sale starting. My mom’s iPad saved my life where 5 laptops could not. I’d never bought tickets before so I was nervous as hell and was on my phone with my friend, http://dingdangdiggity.tumblr.com/, starting 2 hours before hand and I NEVER let the screens go dark. It was tense and the fact I got it never registered until a month later.
Oct 2, Britt and her sister, Val ( http://missvalerieann5.tumblr.com/ ) came up and spent the night since I’m not far from Chicago and they are. Oct 3, we were up at 4. I am not a Chicago driver and I wanted to beat traffic and I mean, GA line am I right??? So friend number 3, Jax https://average-jax.tumblr.com/ , comes over because she lives near me and we head up, stopping on the way to pick up our newest edition to the friendship, Megan https://warmyoon.tumblr.com/ and we are off.
Now parking was supposed to be weird. Rumor was lots opened at 10 and we were getting there at 7:30 so the day before I used Spothero to get a spot in a garage 15 mins from the UC. I had planned to move the car to a closer lot when it opened but chose instead to extend the time where it was from 6pm-12am for another $5 so in the end parking was a 15 min walk down the street for $20 instead of the $25-29 they were charging at the venue. Plus it was going around lot C would open at 8am and other would open at 5pm and like no I was not fucking around with that.
So we did end up in the merch line on accident before we realized GA was on the other side of the building. Even with wasting a half hour though, it wasn’t a hug issue since we saw people who passed us in merch were only like 2 people ahead of us when we got in GA. Now here’s the thing with GA. People camp out. In this case, they started camping Friday for Tuesday’s concert as well as Wednesday. Some of them did both concerts some just did one. Either way, people were annoyed. The venue said they would honor the unofficial line, since official started at 10 am on D-day, if everyone was organized. So they handed out unofficial bands with numbers until they could get the official ones. Let’s just say after waking up at 4am, I didn’t give a single shit where I was in line and it was like 8 am and I had to pee so fucking bad. So Jax, Britt and I walked the length of the line towards the building because rumor on Twitter was security was letting us use the bathrooms inside. Holy. Shit. The tension was insane. These people were so pissed like we got GLARED AT for walking towards the front. I got pissed back and started screaming “I don’t give a shit about your line, I have to fucking pee!” and “I stopped caring about you’re line when I woke up at 4, I have to piss!” I guess some crazy bitch tried yelling at us. Whatever. It was hell up there. People were yelling about not bothering with the numbers since it was’t official and others were all about those numbers. I was happy to be in the back. But yeah, we got to pee and return to the back with the horror stories about the crabby pre-campers.
Val had guessed being 804 which was funny cuz we got #799-803. Rule was be back in order at 4 pm, doors opened at 5:30 and concert at 8. So we had agreed to run straight to the LG experience thing. We wanted to do the thing where the screen shows your bias like they’re next to you so bad, but for Chicago it was a raffle. You either reached in and got the pink ball to do that, a yellow ball to record a message for BTS or a blue ball where you got NOTHING. Rumor is LA let everyone do the picture. So that pissed me off. Other than that, it was still cool to take pics with the cut outs. We checked out merch and saw the line wasn’t terrible so we tried it and yeah a lot was sold out, but it went by so quick compared to the Wings tour in Rosemont. The whole C lot was set up for merch, LG, dancing, and pictures so it felt like a convention and it was really nice.
My biggest advice apart from BRING MONEY is HAVE WATER and make sure you HAVE FOOD. Snacks. Sandwiches. Anything. We had chips and water bottles and decided to walk down 15 mins to the Mcdonalds, which sucked cuz it was 85 degrees and sunny, and when we came back we went right back to where we’d been that morning so it would be quicker to get organized…which was a cluster fuck. Everyone was tired. It was now 5 pm but listen, second biggest advice is DON’T BE A DICK! Seriously. Security wanted single file order and they delayed letting us in because people would rather bitch with the fans trying to help. Rule of thumb, if you’re number 1400, don’t bother standing where the 300s go. Security wanted us in order and they fucking MADE SURE we were so it was pointless to refuse to move to the back cuz you had to wait anyway. So when someone is trying to put 600s here and 700s here and 800s move back, don’t bitch about it. Just fucking do it.
Now this is what you really want to know. Number 800, how close was I. Pretty. Fucking. Close. So the stage has the main stage, a jut out in the middle and then another lengthy stage (you know what I mean). We were off to stage left, audience right at like………if you’re on the farthest jut out in the center, we were on your 9 0’clock. Now I am 5’4” so when they performed songs on the main stage, I couldn’t see shit without being on my tip toes or looking at my camera or the screen. So that did suck. I wish we’d been closer. We were about 5 rows back from the barricade and below will be pics to show you my views. But like…I was 5 feet from every single member at one point. They could see me. They are so fucking handsome. It made the entire experience worth it. Seriously. even with 1400+ people in the pit, it was fantastic. I probably won’t do it again for money, time and stress sake unless a ticket fell into my lap, but it was a wonder thing to do and I suggest it for sure.
Now that you’ve read it all here are my tips for any GA goers:
Get their early if you want first dibs but remember that you’ll still be closer to them than you have ever been before and that once it starts and they move around, you will be shifting constantly throughout the night.
Scout out the area before hand whether you go there and drive around or check it out on Google Maps. Know what kind of food and stores are around and how far of a walk it is.
BRING WATER!!!!! You will need it all day so you don’t faint. I took in an empty bottle and filled it in the bathroom before the show. Not all venues will let you but better to throw away an empty bottle later than to go in and realize you could have had it.
PORTABLE CHARGERS!!!!!!!! Make sure your phone has space and enough charge for the whole day and night without an outlet. We charged ours at MCDonalds. Mine got to 33% by the end and had storage issues so I couldn’t record the end. Everyone else’s died.
Bring FOOD! Anything will do as long as you snack. I don’t eat during events like this but I make myself just in case.
If it’s hot and sunny, bring a cheap umbrella to block the sun and catch any breeze. It was 85 F during the day.
If it’s cold, bring a cheap blanket. It was only 60 F when we got there.
HAVE FUN! Be comfy! Make friends. Ask about biases. Remember there are people there with legit tents. Bring whatever you want as long as you can either throw it away, keep hold of it, or have someone get it for you to take home.
The line goes up and around the corner all the way to the building
So yeah hard to see when they were back there
Joon was by us a lot
Hobi was by us the most
Jimin was apparently checking on a fan who was about to faint.
I didn’t get a lot of Tae, Jin, or Kook but Hobi and Joon were on our side a lot and Jimin and Yoongi bounced around. But yeah...that was my experience.
Any questions? EDIT: Britt just did this to her’s and I forgot but I put blood, sweat and tears into this pictures so you BETTER CREDIT ME if you share them.

BAU Prep School AU: 2018
Welcome to the Frederick Buchanan Institute located in scenic Quantico, Virginia, a senior high academy that shapes the best and brightest minds. Its motto is “Behavior, Analysis, Unity,” the mascot the Submariners, colloquially “the Unsubs”. The small school supports the most accomplished faculty from across the country. (image link)
2016- 2017 Class of 2018
Messy
September 29, 2017 11:17pm
Luke Alvez hadn’t expected this, despite his explicit instructions to his team to do so in the case of an emergency. And yet he found his phone ringing in the late-night weekend hours from an unsaved Virginian number.
“Hello?”
“Is this Luke Alvez?”
“It is, and you are?”
“My name is Frank Broadhead and I am—”
“The principal for the International School.”
“Why, yes, actually.”
“With all due respect, sir, but why are you calling me so late?”
“Well, you see, Mr. Alvez. Or Coach? Do you prefer Coach?”
“Semantics, please continue.”
“Right, well. Phil and I just so happened to find a few of your students breaking into our football stadium tonight. Now I wanted to call Aaron Hotchner myself, but young Mr. Malcolm has convinced us that you were the right call. Are you?”
“Sorry?”
“Are you the right call?”
Luke stared at the ceiling of his apartment and whispered a few choice curses beneath his breath.
“Are you pressing charges?”
“Now, Coach, we were very lucky to have apprehended the intruders prior to any hijinks. But, either you or another faculty member come and collect the lot of them or I am calling the police, followed by their parents.”
Luke could hear various protests in the background, this was not the way he wanted to spend his weekend. He also didn’t have a large enough vehicle to cart around multiple teenagers. “Besides Trevor Malcolm, who and how many are there?”
Luke grabbed his keys and double checked his back gate as he continued with the phone call.
“Well, I have a very aggressive young lady by the name of May Howard, a more demur girl named Azalene Curtis, a disrespectful punk who refuses to tell me his name and Mr. Malcolm.”
“Alright, Broadhead, tell Brooks to sit tight and I will be there as soon as I can.”
“Thank you, Mr. Alvez.”
Luke hit the end call button and sighed. It was late enough that the bugs and occasional cars passing by were the only noises on his street. He stared at his list of contacts for a solid minute before making the call, which finally connected on the fourth ring.
“Man, you better not be drunk dialing me.” Morgan’s voice was amused.
“Sorry, Derek, but duty calls.”
An hour later, HM Hotchner, Coach Morgan and Coach Alvez all stepped out of the large black Suburban. The rival school was cast in near darkness, besides a few lights in a first-floor wing. Luke led the way, Hotch and Derek shared a glance at his familiarity with the campus. When they reached the door, Luke was texting on his phone.
“K, should be just a sec for them to let us in.”
“Anybody know about this?” Hotch looked at his two current sports’ coaches with concern.
“Honestly, Hotch, I had no idea. I gave the guys my number in case they needed a sober driver, I wasn’t exactly expecting a full bail out.” Luke admitted, scratching the back of his neck. Aaron nodded, he was grateful to have Alvez on his team.
“My whole focus has been putting in the work to stick it their football team come playoffs, Hotch.” Derek held up his hands as they were empty of precursors to the crime. “If I had heard Howard and company would be trespassing I would have nipped that in the bud.” Derek’s eyes lit up as someone opened the secure door wide.
A tall African American guy gave them an annoyed appraisal, “Look what the cat dragged in.”
“It’s nice to see you too, Brooks.” Luke sighed. “This is my boss, Aaron Hotchner,” he paused as the shook hands. “And I’m guessing you’ve met Coach Morgan?”
“Brooks. Sorry about this.” Derek patted the man on the back as he led the way through the dimmed hallways.
“That bulldozer on your line?” Brooks started. “She’s a pistol.”
“Are the students alright?” Hotch interjected.
“Yeah, the guys may have been on something, but they lost their buzz fairly quickly.”
Luke and Derek both groaned, Coach Phil Brooks led the way to the principal’s office as they passed through a waiting room. In a row, spanning the spectrum of fear to boredom sat four Submariners. Lena Curtis, May Howard, Trevor Malcolm and one Iggy Cruz. When their teachers and headmaster stepped into the room, they erupted into a slew of explanations.
“Sir, we didn’t even—” Trevor started.
“Coach, I am so sor—” May’s voice hitched as her favorite teacher looked at her with complete disappointment.
“Are you going to call my dad?” Lena squeaked, she had been crying.
“Enough!” Hotch raised his voice and the room quieted. “Submariners on your feet.” Even the coaches beside him straightened up at the direct order. Iggy was the last one to stand, letting a huff fall from his lips. “You will wait here with Mr. Morgan and Mr. Alvez. I am going to sort this out with Principal Broadhead, then we will discuss the consequences of your actions.”
October 2, 2017 12:58pm
Ms. Prentiss’s phone buzzed against her desk, but it didn’t register as she was reading going over the final act of The Crucible with her Sophomore class.
“Now Miller wrote this during the Red Scare, what parallels can you draw from the play and those events?” She looked out into the faces of some very bored and mildly confused teenagers. Her phone buzzed again, more obvious now in the silence left by the unanswering class. “Okay, let’s try this again. Red Scare? Anyone take post World War Two history, yet?”
Five hands were raised around the room, she sighed and nodded. Then Zachary Henkel’s hand shot up as if he was electrocuted.
“Yes, Mr. Henkel? What can you tell us about the Red Scare?”
“Nothing, actually, but Ms. Garcia is waving frantically and knocking at the door.”
The English teacher’s brow knit as realization sunk in.
“It’s time?” She asked the excitable guidance counselor.
“It’s definitely time. I don’t want to into details. But, hospital, go, you now.” Emily Prentiss gave a wilted glance back to the waiting class. “Go, Emily, I’ve got them.”
“Communism and Arthur Miller. You, go.”
1:14pm
The Kirsch Memorial Hospital felt like a maze, despite the now weekly appointments JJ had been having within. Emily soon found the birthing wing and signed in at the desk.
“Your partner is in room 13C. Breathe, Mama, you got this.” The beaming nurse said to Emily, who must have looked like a deer caught in headlights.
“Right, thanks.” Emily gave a half smile and pinned her security tag on her blouse. The rooms were set up like hotel suites: very comfortable and spaced in pairs down a soothing hallway.
“Oh thank God!” JJ exclaimed as she saw Emily’s black hair peek through the double wide door.
“Or just Penelope, hey you.” Emily grabbed JJ’s hand. “Sorry I didn’t answer right away, I though it was an email notification.”
“You really need to stop being so professional.” JJ’s laughed cut short as a contraction started.
“Where are we at?” Emily watched the monitors they had on her girl and her bulging belly.
“Six minutes apart, but only dilated to 4,” JJ grunted. Emily rubbed JJ’s back with her free hand, as the pain eased so did JJ’s grip on the bed rail and Emily’s left hand.
“Good job, its like you’re ready to have a baby today.” Dr. Savannah Hayes smiled at the couple as she entered the room on her rounds. Emily watched JJ with immense pride as JJ sighed at her OBGYN.
“Ya think?”
Oct. 8 3:40pm
Matt Simmons had wrapped up his Sociology class early, telling the kids to enjoy the fresh air before a set of storms was due in for the weekend. Between his amazing stories, his looks and his more relaxed teaching style he had quickly won the hearts of the student body. He regularly received assignments early and was asked more than once if he was single, for their mothers or aunts. He politely declined the offers. Today he made his way down to the sound booth at the back of the Rothschild Auditorium to help set up for the coming musical. Rehearsals varied by day of the week as Lucas Turner was a lead this year and had recruited a few other football players for backstage work as well. The actors wouldn’t be in until 5:30pm. Matt found Alex Blake already playing with the levels as the set crew started showing up after the final bell. She held her chin in her palm, scrutinizing the coloring below.
“How’s it going?” He leaned against the door frame, his large arms folded across his chest. Alex jumped at his appearance, holding her chest. He tried to bite back his amusement, but her rueful smile told him it wasn’t going to be met with a scolding.
“Matthew! Damnit, I thought reporters liked an intro before they make an appearance.”
“Getting hard of hearing in your old age, Doc? Better keep up.”
“I am as quick as ever, thank you very much,” Alex tilted her head.
“Yeah, I bet,” He smiled at her confidence. “I’ve been meaning to ask you. What’s up with the ‘Ms.’ Did you decide to forget your PhD?”
Alex sighed, spinning to face him and away from the control desk. He had leaned back in another chair, all young and firm and handsome. “When Dave and I split, I wanted a fresh start, so I left the Doctor title behind as it was always paired with Rossi.”
“I was sorry to hear about that, and Ethan of course.”
“Thanks.” She closed her eyes at the mention of her late son. “So, what exactly brings you to teaching? It’s not exactly high adrenaline, which I recall you always chased.”
“Hannah had a rough go of it last year and I, well, I needed a change of scenery.” Matt flinched but didn’t go into greater detail.
“Did your sister ask you to keep an eye on Hannah?” Alex’s voice was low and soothing.
“Are you kidding? She barely talks about Hannah, no, Hannah and I have been close since she was little. I figured there was going to be at least a temporary opening and I reached out to Hotch.”
“JJ probably loved that.” Alex smiled, turning back to the stage.
“Yeah, well, she has her hands full now.”
“True. You sure you want to give up your nights to help run sound?” Alex teased.
“I like to be useful, plus, something tells me the Director can keep me in line.”
She gave him a look before rolling her eyes at him, “Welcome to life in the Theatre, Mr. Simmons.”
6:08pm
Jake wasn’t certain his feelings meant anything in the grand scheme of things and that thought alone made him panic. But the gnawing in his gut was getting worse with each passing day. There was something about being in the wings, the dust and ancient currents were like layers of reality, secluding and enclosing them. Michel was going over their lines and Jake was trying not to stare or break their concentration.
Michel was had contoured today and felt drastically more confident now that the itchy school blazer had been discarded. They had their sleeves rolled up to their elbows and left the top buttons open, despite the draftiness of the theatre. Now if they could just get their lines down they would earn their bad ass title for another week. After rehearsal they had a late dinner with their parents, who were briefly stateside and probably another hour of homework. So much for senior year slacking.
Jake was going to lose his nerve, but the romantic leads were going over their first scene and it felt like they would be called on for their entrances at any moment. Michel had turned to him now, “Can you read Jackson’s lines I just need to stop using the script as a crutch already.”
“Sure. But, you could always ask him to run lines.” Jake didn’t mean to sound snarky, but his self-consciousness came off as annoyance.
“Jake, you are literally doing nothing right now. Come on,” Michel huffed. Jake stood up straight and accepted Michel’s script from their out stretched hand. He leaned over the folded booklet and waited for Michel to start, their character was Bellomy, the leading lady’s father and they adjusted their stance as they got into character. Jake was transfixed, clearly, he understood acting, but watching Michel do it was like watching water boil or leaves change color. A natural transformation resulting in something completely different than who was there before.
“Oh lady le di le da loo…”
“Oh, lady le di le da loo…” Jake sounded it out choppily. Michel grabbed him tightly as the characters would greet each other in the show
“Hucklee!”
“Bellomy!”
“Neighbor!”
“Friend!”
Jake hadn’t let go of Michel, though a wall was meant to be separating the men on stage. He dropped the script and turned to his longtime friend and crush.
“How’s the gout?”
“What?” Jake looked down at Michel mystified.
“That’s the line, Jake. What’s wrong?” But before Jake could answer or Michel could stop him, his lips were on Michel’s.
Oct. 10 6:54pm
“Now ladies and gentlemen, will you please rise for the singing of our National Anthem?” The announcer’s voice boomed over the stadium filled to capacity with Homecoming crowds. The F.B.I. Scarlet Submariners were on the East side of their home field as their opponents the gold and black Kingsford Knights were on the West side. The sun had set fifteen minutes prior, letting the overhead lights illuminate the turf for miles around.
Mr. Walker raised his arms and the Pep band began the familiar bars, as Sacha Kane began to sing. The song wrapped up with thunderous applause and the coin toss followed. The teams stood lining the field as the captains returned. Sitting and stewing in their jerseys without their pads were the benched senior Ignacio Cruz and sophomore May Howard. The defense took the field and Lucas Turner sighed as his right side felt empty with an unreliable substitute. Coach Morgan had made the call, which Headmaster Hotchner backed fully. Coach Alvez had given Trevor a comparable two-game ban and a parent-approved drug test as punishment for the theatrics at the end of September.
“It had to be Homecoming,” Derek thought to himself as his back up kicker botched a punt, leaving the rival team on the Unsubs’ thirty-yard line. They went into the locker room down by six at half time. Thunder rolled in the distance. As well-spoken as Coach Morgan was, he didn’t need to say anything, the team knew they had to step it up. He let them breathe before offering a few shuffles to the lines.
“Unsubs! Whose house is this?!” Coach Morgan bellowed to the cement lined room.
“Our House!” They barked back.
“Whose house is this?!”
“Our HOUSE!” A deep booming response this time.
“Search and destroy, guys! SEARCH AND DESTROY!” The sweaty and pumped up bodies of forty teenagers jogged back on to the field to the enthusiasm of their stands. They went on to win by eleven, just as the cascade of rain flooded the stadium. After everyone had showered, Coach Morgan called Cruz and Howard over to discuss their reinstatements for the following week’s away game.
“You two care about your school, but there are better ways to defend it. Use your God-given talents to help your team, or you never were an Unsub. Behavior, Analysis, Unity. Earn it.”
Oct. 11 5:24pm
Chloe’s phone went off as she helped set the table for dinner. Her gaggle of siblings were either taking up space in the kitchen, trying to snag a taste early or lounging in the adjoining living room. All of her friends were off to take group pictures before heading to dinner at some posh restaurant or another. What a difference a year makes, the memories of last year’s dance clouding her thoughts.
She glanced down at the caller id before answering. “Lucas?”
“Hey, Chloe, listen, are you busy tonight?” He seemed quiet, like he was secluded.
“Helping with dinner right now, why?” She propped the phone against her shoulder as she began dishing out the salad.
“Well, I was wondering if you wanted to go to Homecoming. With me. Like a date?”
She had not seen this coming, but that was probably because she had avoided romantic entanglements like the plague they had proven to be.
“Lucas…” She let her voice hang in the air. “I don’t have a dress, this is really last minute.”
“Wear anything, you can go in jeans. I just, I just want to dance with you Chloe, I swear.” He sounded sweet, not desperate and demanding. But nervous and sheepish.
“Lucas, you can dance with anyone there, you’re classically trained.” His nerves seemed to be infectious.
“They’re not you, Chloe. Please think about it? Call me back when you’re done with dinner. I won’t be hurt if you say no, but just think about it.” Lucas waited for twelve seconds before she replied.
“Yeah, I can do that.”
“Thanks. Talk to you later!”
“Later.” Chloe ended the call and turned back to find her entire family had sat down to eat around her.
“Who was that?” Her mother Anita asked suspiciously.
“Lucas, Lucas Turner.”
“Well, what did the boy want?” her mother sat down and patted Chloe’s seat beside her.
“He asked me to go to the Dance tonight.”
A mix of ‘ooohs’ and teasing burst from her siblings, her cheeks flushed and she ducked her head as she fell into her usual spot.
“Do you want to go, doll?” Her father asked as he started cutting into his steak. She shrugged and then nodded.
“He’s a good guy, then, not going to get fresh?” Chloe smiled at her mom’s concern.
“He’s a sweetheart. He was there for me when I broke up with Brayden in the first place.” The name drew a stunned silence among the Roycewood family. It had gone unspoken for so long.
“Alright then, it’s settled. Aimee, you’re to help your sister get ready right after dinner. You hear?”
“Sweet! Of course, Mama.” Chloe’s thirteen-year-old sister replied, the excitement of dresses and make up turning her weekend magical.
“Thanks, you guys.” Chloe tried to bite back a smile, but her cheeks were determined to stay up.
“Anything to keep that smile on your face, doll.” Her dad nodded.

Blog #2: Do Androids Dream Of Tenured Positions?
I wrote this in response to the article “Imagine How Great Universities Could Be Without All Those Human Teachers” by Allison Schrager and Amy Wang. I chose to write about it because of my background in education, because I feel like I really benefited a lot from the personal connections I made with my human professors in undergrad and also because I’m scared of robots.
I admit that the concept of AI does terrify me a little so I really had to reevaluate my anti-robot bias as I tried to figure out exactly where I stood in the fairly confusing lane between AI technology as a helpful assistant and AI technology as a terrifying force coming to steal jobs from professors. After careful consideration, though, I’ve come to a firm conclusion: not only should AI/automation in general not be wholesale replacing human labor, we don’t actually have to let it wholesale replace human labor. Inevitability sometimes only exists because we make something inevitable. The robots aren’t making themselves.
Or. . .I guess they kind of are, but--you know what I mean.
The choice to replace any job with AI technology instead of utilizing AI and adapting that job to both benefit the worker and to add more diverse tasks that couldn’t be accomplished by a machine is fundamentally a choice in favor of profit over people. I realize that it’s naive to think that major corporations or even universities might choose people over profit but, with the smallest percentage of hope I have left for the world, I know that it’s at least an option.
For example, the McKinsey Institute (not a group of folks who I would assume would be pushing for human decency) has laid out plans for the future of retail workers when automation is more of an established presence in their establishments. They reference already existing examples, writing, “Several grocers, for example, are creating new roles for in-store pickers and e-commerce distribution centers. [. . .] Meanwhile, McDonald’s has not only introduced table service in restaurants but also rolled out self-service ordering kiosks. Best Buy has pushed further into adjacent services, creating new customer-service roles in its In-Home Advisor and Total Tech Support programs and retraining employees for them” (Begley, Hancock). The ideal here is shifting labor, not replacing it.
With all of that in mind, I feel compelled to take a moral stance here: this is less an issue of technology and more an issue of properly compensating employees. The human ones with skin and hearts and stuff, whose humanness is often a key factor of their job. And this is especially true of educators, whether K - 12 or higher education.
The notion that AI can replace professors just goes to show the fundamental disrespect that we as a society have for educators. This is something that we can see in how little they’re paid (especially adjuncts, who don’t nearly make enough to survive [Douglas-Gabriel]). It’s also ignoring the possibility of shifting their labor. This argument requires that we’re all on the same page that higher education should be about expanding knowledge: replacing the day to day work of grading or answering easily answerable questions with the help of AI, in an ideal world, wouldn’t mean job losses for TAs or potentially un-tenured professors. If universities properly focused their money (for example, focusing more on professors than administration [Lewis]), academics and robots could peacefully co-exist. Imagine a world where professors won’t have to worry about minutiae and instead have time to focus on research and writing and other things that are the reason they got into academia and that will actively make them better teachers. Imagine a world where TAs get real world experience actively helping with that research. Professors who have more time to work with students one on one! To write grants! To live more fulfilled and meaningful lives!
It’s exciting!
Again, naive and probably idealistic, especially considering that this would require universities to radically change their budgets. It would be also likely require more funding and more specified funding from the federal government for public universities. These are both very large feats.
In his paper Why Are There Still So Many Jobs? David H. Autor backs up my idyllic academic vision when he states that, on top of replacing labor, “automation also complements labor, raises output in ways that lead to higher demand for labor, and interacts with adjustments in labor supply” (2015). Essentially, the purpose of automation should be to make life easier for people, not to displace them.
There are a few significant arguments in favor of focusing more funds on AI in academic institutions that I find compelling, many of them focused on the students. On a base social level, I would probably have been more comfortable addressing a robot as an anxious undergrad than I would my professors and having a resource that would be available more frequently than a human could possibly be would be a comfort. Schrager and Wang explain the software created by the company Hobsons and how it can figure out demographics that might be struggling and use it to identify specific students that are close to dropping out. This is described as “granular,” (3) which is important--after all, professors are notably human. They can’t catch and parse small things like that, especially with crowded classrooms.
Another argument is that investing in technology that can directly help students and takes over the bulk of teaching saves money because you can hire fewer professors; ultimately, this could be worth the loss (7 - 8). If AI can do the menial labor behind teaching, why pay a human to do it when that requires a consistent salary and when the money could be used in ways that would more directly benefit--as was already mentioned--far more students than a single professor could reach? Kristin Houser writes, on the online publication Futurism, in regard to K - 12 teachers being replaced that “after the initial development costs, administrators wouldn’t need to worry about paying digital teachers. This saved money could then be used to pay for the needed updates to education facilities or other costs” (“The Situation to Our Education Crisis”), which seemingly supports the same claim about colleges. She also adds--and I find the idea that this technology would function so efficiently and without bias far more idealistic than anything I believe, but it’s still good to think about--that “digital teachers wouldn’t need days off and would never be late for work. Administrators could upload any changes to curricula [. . .] and the systems would never make mistakes. If programmed correctly, they also wouldn’t show any biases toward students based on gender, race, socio-economic status, personality preference, or other consideration” (Houser). These are all certainly elements that could positively impact education if they functioned well enough.
Even with both sides of the coin, though, there’s some evidence that the coin itself is less relevant than we think. There have been several studies which point out that automation isn’t killing off manufacturing jobs at nearly the rate that people have been expecting. Jared Bernstein, former chief financial advisor to Vice President Joe Biden, wrote in the Washington Post that the sharp decline in manufacturing jobs after 2000 had more to do with trade than it did automation (“Contrary to Popular Wisdom”). This was also a contentious moment in a Democratic Primary debate last fall between Senator Elizabeth Warren and entrepreneur Andrew Yang, with the former supporting Bernstein’s claim and the latter supporting the issues with automation. According to Politifacts, both the candidates were effectively right (Greenberg). So, essentially, this isn’t to say that automation isn’t part of the problem, it’s just that the situation is likely not as dramatic as economists and others have made it out to be.
Also, there certainly aren’t clear indicators that automation will be taking over academia specifically anytime soon. To say otherwise seems unnecessarily fear-inducing. As I said, though, I might be naive. Maybe college professors and TAs should be stocking up on whatever weapons are most effective against a robot uprising (. . .water?) or at least updating their resumes. If this does become a trend, though, I sincerely hope that the inherent value of good, earnest, sentient human educators is considered. As someone who primarily took undergrad classes in the humanities, the lived experiences of a professor often go hand in hand with their own education to make them more effective at relating to students. Giving up a fully realized, authentic education just for a more efficient one isn’t worth it.
