#I don’t care what your fucking equations say. Link is not a multi-universal power level. He’s a guy. He always starts out as just a guy

In my head, there are three different categorizations of Link from LoZ:
The General Link. This is the vaguest concept of Link. He’s a guy, usually dressed in green, who wields a sword and a bunch of funky tools and gadgets to beat up the bad guys and save Hyrule. Generally goofy in some flavor or another. Yells, otherwise doesn’t talk much, and typically has some beef with pottery. Each one of the Specific Links carries the General Link within them. Cool.
The Specific Links. These are the ones from the different games. Each Link, while a reincarnation of the same General Link, is still an individual person. Twilight Princess’ Link is not Wind Waker’s Link is not Zelda II: The Adventure of’s Link. They all have different personalities and people they know and goals they pursue and things they do. These guys are awesome.
The Powerscaling Link. This is a horrible Frankenstein’s Monster of Links whose strongest things have all been stitched together in order to prove he can beat Bungo Shlumpo or whoever the hell in a fight. He has every ability from every game regardless of how long there was between them or the unique circumstances that made it possible for him to get them in said games. Every Link’s greatest feats taken from their original context and stitched together to form a Link that never truly existed and never will, and who is well beyond the scale that the humble Link was ever meant to tread. Carries the spirit of neither the Specific Links nor even the General Link. All has been lost for the sake of power. I don’t like this one.
