#I don’t care about group positions/roles so idk what her official role in gidle was

Listening to Soojin’s ep, I never thought that she was that big of a selling point to me with gidle because even though she was my bias, I love Minnie and Yuqi. And even though I literally hate every gidle song that’s come out since Soojin’s departure, I put that blame on soyeon’s weak ass song writing ability (especially with the lyrics; that woman needs to be banned from using English in songs for a good five years to make up for the monstrosity that was queen card alone).
But I’m thinking Soojin’s absence from the group is a lot more bigger than I thought it’d be. Like it’s insane how good this ep is when gidle had released multiple songs since her departure and they all suck. Again, I always loved her but she was only one member right? That can’t be the reason I can’t fuck with gidle anymore right?
But I sound like a typical delulu kpoppie when I say that now that I’m faced with the reality. Soojin literally was the best part of gidle and they’re trash without her. I feel better just accepting this because now I can let go of gidle (despite being a huge fan since their debut; it’s sad to just mute them but I get zero enjoyment from any if their recent shit) and focus on supporting Soojin.
Not surprisingly, knets are probably going to hate on her for no reason. Her mv already has over a million views, so I’m hoping she at least gets enough attention to allow for her to make a few more albums. International fans are supporting her. Would be nice if international fan support was enough to keep her going because she proved with this ep that she was the star of gidle and how shitty they are without her.
