#I do wish healing/buffing weren't solely based on faith portion of seals

Kind of sucks that the Erdtree Seal is the strongest high level seal. I can never decide whether it's fitting or not.
Like Erdtree faith is the most dominant faith, almost to a point of delusion, both in the sense that it's everywhere and also has crushed any opposition, leaving it literally the strongest force around. The Elden Ring and Grace and the Erdtree are what the entire game focuses around, and it's what keeps the Tarnished able to fall and rise again countless times until they get lucky enough for the enemy AI to do something derpy so they win.
But it also somehow doesn't feel right for a high level faith caster given that most offensive incantations have nothing to do with the actual Erdtree. Which is kind of a point, the Golden Order doesn't merely crush other forms of faith, it absorbs everything into itself, and in that sense I suppose the Erdtree Seal staying on top (not factoring in spell type bonuses of certain seals) makes sense. It makes sense that even with all of the faith in the world, you're not going to squeeze as much power from dragons or the godslaying flame as you are from the Erdtree, and maybe I should just think of it more in those terms, a seal is literally just a catalyst/weapon like a staff and the Erdtree Seal is just the best one.
It's still a funny vibe.
I also just wish it were more viable for low faith for the sake of tree Sentinel strength/faith vibes but it's hard to resist juicy juicy beastclaw talisman, which I do think is very interesting as far as strength/faith builds can get more damage while dex/faith builds get casting speed.
#makes dex/faith more sensible as a healer/buffer main too#hm. Something to ponder later#me vs elden ring#I do wish healing/buffing weren't solely based on faith portion of seals#but it's kind of neat that the beastclaw and dragon communion seals aren't good for healing vibe-wise
