I wasn't super interested when I started listening to Eskew but boy am I invested now. I just want David to be happy. Please. Is that too much to ask? Don't get me wrong, I've encountered tragedy before, but the narrative of this man's life is simply so profoundly sad. Like. He was alone for so, so long, and then he finally found Allegra, only to witness her become one with the city that had tormented him for years. They were in Eskew, but at least they were in Eskew together. And now she's gone. What? No. I'm fine. I'm not crying over a podcast. Again. playing mind games on my dad by sending him a pic of my fancy ramen from this ramen shop, he loves ramen and will want to know more about it, I tell him, he finds a good local ramen shop, he takes his girlfriend or whatever to it and tests it out for me without him realizing that's what he's doing, then we can all go to the next time I visit, all the footwork is done for me. all bc I shared a pic of my life changing ramen.

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

can you believe that we have fanfiction. that we have websites dedicated to fanfiction. that there is a place that you can go and read tens, hundreds, thousands and thousands of pieces of writing that strangers have made. people who are not "writers". people who come home at the end of the day and have feelings and say, i am going to put that into words. i am going to share those words. short, long, sweet, sad, horny, funny, wonderful words. we are all just human and we all love to make and remake and share that with others. can you believe that.

i know several languages, just only the curses and how to say bread. dont question it, i find its easier to not get in trouble when they have no idea what your saying, especially when your speaking french and cursing, they just think your saying something lovely.
