#I do also think about how it would be very easy for edgeshot to cause harm and how careful he constantly is to moderate that

Hey you know the bnha hero in the top 10 with a visual and combat motif revolving around string and rope? The one with the insanely difficult to use and precise quirk, which they can use to efficiently restrain opponents and/or deal damage to them. The one with high popularity rankings in-universe. You know, the one who hides their face all the time. The one who chose a design to commit to and committed almost comically hard. The one with the carefully crafted public persona that manages to be convincingly competent and charismatic, but somehow reveals nothing about their personal motivations. The incredibly selfless (and underrated) one. The one with the distinct hair that somehow never gets in the way. The one who was in the Textile Arts Association in high school. You know. They even appeared in the Vigilantes manga. That clears it up, doesn't it?

katsuki is back!!!!!! and im so so happy about it!!!!!!!! what do you think the long term implications are gonna be for our blasty boy tho? i mean, having to immediately jump back into battle to help all might and izuku doesn't leave a lot of time for him to process stuff and i dont think knowing that edgeshot literally stitched him up and died in the process would be an easy thing to come to terms with. I'm curious to hear what you think!!✨✨
HE IS BACK !!!! ✨️🩷✨️ I'M BUZZING !!!! but—
you're so right 🥺 gosh. i think the long-term effects this will have on him will be very dependent on how this upcoming fight plays out, but, regardless—he died, okay ? like not almost died or was on the brink—his heart literally burst inside his chest. and then someone else had to sacrifice themselves so that he could live again.
not to mention, tomura/afo really read him to filth during that fight ajfbdjala and i feel like that had to hurt to hear, to witness, to experience; a painstaking moment when he gave it his all and realized just how little that did, in the moment, to tomura/afo.
having to jump right into the fight is going to be—so hard on him, i think. not right away, but he literally is going to be fighting for all might's life, and that is also so heavy, because we know how much all might means to him. and i think the fact that he can't process it now will just cause soooo many issues for him in the future, when it comes time for him to process the whole thing. it will probably take years !! for him to even consciously accept what happened out there !!!
and it's all just such a pile up of emotion......i think he'll always feel guilty about what happened with all might in kamino, and then edgeshot had to give his life to save him—bc he couldn't save himself, or stop tomura/afo—and now he's fighting for all might, and if that ends up breaking his heart, too, it's just—TOO MUCH.
i'm so scared for him 🥺 this is so much to emotionally bear 🥺 to walk around with 🥺 like as a hero, he has to make up for it, right ?? like he has to give it everything he has, or else what did edgeshot die for ? i feel like, as a young adult, he would bury himself in being dynamight, so focused on the goal of being the best hero he can be, in honor of his heroes, that he probably wouldn't even sit down and process what happened for a little while. like he thinks there's no time. he has to keep going for them 🥺

Musutafu, Japan
“Hold the fuck up. This doesn’t make any sense, I mean—these are Pros. Well known and well respected Pros, at that. The hell would they be tryna’ run a fucking cartel for?!?” Ken Takagi (more commonly known as Rock Lock) rubbed the bridge of his nose in confusion, not understanding the motive or correlation. “I mean think about it. These motherfuckers got more money than they know what to do with. Endeavor is a shareholder in goddamn Nintendo, Hawks owns his own fucking agency and line of sports cars, and I could’ve sworn I saw Eraser getting Shinsou fitted for a fucking Cuban on his birthday a few months ago. It’s not like they’re strapped for cash these days.” Ken huffed, the agent’s arms crossed as he leaned back in the conference chair.
In an attempt to try and broaden the range on your current investigation, your department recruited the help of several Pros to provide reinforcements in Japan, the States, and wherever else sales were being made. Going undercover was already plenty dangerous, and going alone was the equivalent of signing your own death warrant. Enlisting the help of Rock Lock, Ryukyu, Miruko, Fatgum, Edgeshot and plenty of others was relatively easy; these were Heroes that had experience with smugglers and narcotics-based operations, so when you’d approached them with the task at hand, they’d happily agreed.
However, some needed more convincing than others.
“Takagi. Think about it. Sure, they may not be living paycheck to paycheck, but look at the timeline.” You state, looking over your shoulder towards the holographic board displaying an interactive timeline of the investigation, including photos, invoices and even audio recordings pulled from surveillance cameras. “Two years ago, we seized a truck containing approximately 78 kilograms of crack cocaine. When we questioned the driver on where he was taking it and where he got it from, he didn’t budge. Luckily for us, the dumbass wasn’t smart enough to avoid a paper trail, leaving the insurance documents in the glove compartment when we’d taken him into custody. The insurance company was under the name “Target Lance”, but after doing some digging on the name we found out the corporation went bankrupt six months before and was eventually bought out by Chevrolet.” Pausing to return to the screen welded to the wall behind you, your hands swiped as you searched for the file reading December 5th, 2178: A live video feed of a towering skyscraper being built, the building’s name reading “Chevrolet Corvette Inc.” as it hovered above tens of stories above each worker.
“But you all haven’t heard the name Chevy in a while right? That’s because two weeks after that building was built, the hundred-million dollar company was bought out by Takami Corporate-”
“-who owns Takami Motors. Which is the brand associated with the Peregrine Speedsters, Hawks’ damned sports car line.” Ken finished for you, brown spheres twinkling in sudden clarity. “Now you’re speaking my language.” You nod, hands waving as you continue to brief the room of Pros.
“The Todoroki and Nintendo console collaboration didn’t happen until about earlier this year, March to be specific. Which is quite convenient..since around that time the price of cocaine per gram stabilized in both America and Japan, rising from $112 to $138 bucks a pop. I’m nobody to speak on looks either, but for as long as we’ve known of him, Eraser has dressed like a depressed college student with insomnia that doesn’t understand the concept of soap or a pair of clippers. Now he’s got his wife in Cartier bracelets and getting his shirts tailored because the collar “doesn’t allow him enough room for his capture weapon”?!? Bullshit.” You huff, stifling a smile as you watch Miruko and Edgeshot snicker in their seats at your...blunt observation.
“It makes sense. Three years ago all our agencies, including those overseas, started cutting our checks down by half. They can barely afford to pay us a quarter of what we used to make, and these guys are making these lavish purchases while we all starve?? No way. Something’s fishy, and it’s damn sure not this takoyaki.” Fatgum spat, hands quivering with rage as he struggled to grasp the food with his chopsticks.
“Fatgum’s right. Hero unemployment is at a staggering 8.7 percent. Meanwhile, these men are spending money like it’s going out of style. It makes no sense.” Miruko pondered, Ryukyu folding her hands in her lap as she voiced her approval for immediate action. Edgeshot nodded in agreement, brows furrowed in frustration at this blatant disregard for the law. “So we’re all in agreement that our own people have resorted to breaking the law. Cool, got it. Question is, why? And what the hell are we gonna do about it?” Ken demanded, his patience having worn thin from all this speculation.
“Good question. I think they’re trying to take advantage of the tough spot the Hero Commission is in right now, manipulate that vulnerability and use it for their own gain. They’re not invulnerable to the tough times Pros are facing in the workforce. So they’ve gotten together to try and make it work for them, even if it means breaking the law.” You query, hands typing furiously at the virtual screen to pull up the files of each Hero, displaying all the current information on them from their blood type to each known family member. “These three banding together though? Along with other people? There’s no way. They hate each other. Or at the very least couldn’t get anything done even if they did have a common goal in mind.” Edgeshot murmured lowly.
“I thought so too. But then it hit me: it’s not just some flimsy group project. Sure, crime has gone up since the formation of this cartel, but nobody who holds any rank has been murdered or harmed in any way. No no no, these guys are singing in tune for now...which means there’s a damn good choir director among them. So I’ve volunteered to go undercover, work my way through this organization and figure out just how high up this goes.” You assert, shoulders rigid and chin aloft as the harnesses of your costume frame your figure.
“Alone?? Are you outta your goddamn mind? Let me go, you’ll need back up-” Rock Lock sputters, hands fanning out in shock.
“No way. What about your wife, your kid?! This isn’t just some average drug bust, we’re dealing with powerful men in possession of superhuman abilities that have the game on lockdown. You’ve got too much to lose, more than any of us anyway. Edgeshot and I will go, we’ve seen the other side of the law before, and our quirks are better suited for stealth should anything go wrong.” You fire, eyes narrowing into slits. “The rest of you will be working in tandem with the DEA and our resources, and we’ll report back to you with all future developments. We’ll also need you to be ready to fight at a moment’s notice, if we need it.”
A thick silence clogged the air, Ken settling back into his seat across the table. His amber eyes flickered in irritation before huffing in acceptance, the situation being out of his hands. All the conference participants’ gazes fixed in determination, some with anger. The tense aura weighed on everyone present before Miruko cleared her throat, ivory teeth gleaming in a smirk.
“Well we’ve got a solid plan. So all I wanna know is...when do we start?

June 2nd, 2182
In all honesty...you thought the nickname was just a sad attempt to stroke his ego. But seeing the way over seventy commercial-size planes and approximately 30 seaplanes sat aloft balmy concrete in the Guadalajara sun showed you exactly why they called Hawks “Lord of The Skies”. Arrays of laborers with avian-oriented quirks loaded kilo after kilo of coke on to each and every plane, some by hand and others by forklift. Welders were personally hand selected by Keigo himself to eliminate the issue of utilizing every available inch of space; each vessel having been stripped of everything from the seats to the built in mini-bars (much to Keigo’s chagrin). From where you stood in the scalding hot beams, the runway seemed to extend for miles as it brimmed with visible heat-waves.
Dressed in a simple black tank top, black biker type shorts, aluminum plated gauntlets, steel toed combat boots and harnesses that encapsulated the curves of your body before coming to a stop at your thighs, you silently rejoiced in the airflow your gear allowed you in spite of the color. The bandanna atop your hairline helped to absorb some of the sweat, which was a bonus.
“Not bad for a starter fleet huh? The wingspan on these babies almost makes me jealous.” A rich and decadent voice called from your left. Sleek carmine appendages and brassy blond hair entered your peripheral vision, giving way to the man who ran the show: Keigo Takami. Adorned in a pair of low rise denim jeans that were so incomprehensibly tight they accentuated every bit of his dick (which was likely intentional), a plain white tee and ebony cowboy boots that looked like they cost three times what you make in a week; he most definitely looked the part of the People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” and Playboy’s “Player of the Month” titles he’d earned. Luminous olive skin glistened with sweat, droplets sliding down the deep v neck of his shirt with ease; the way the daisy-hued fabric stuck to his crafted abdomen leaving nothing to the imagination. Tourmaline and Argentium piercings dangled effortlessly from both ears, and if you weren’t so hell-bent on putting the motherfucker in jail you would’ve had no problem admitting how attractive he really was.
“Starter fleet? You’re about to put Delta out of business, look at this shit!” You guffaw, arms folded, an eyebrow raised in astonishment at his “humble” admission. “Flattery will get you everywhere, and then some.” Keigo chuckles, breath hot against your ear the instant he bends at the waist, hands settled in his pockets with that cocky aura about him.
“-And having your damn breath against my ear in 107 degree weather will, respectfully, get you my foot up your ass. I didn’t fly down here to get treated like one of your poor interns. I came here to make money, so let’s talk it.” You lash, the climbing tempature slicing your tolerance for bullshit to shreds.
“Shit. Straight to the point huh? I like it. You wanna talk shop, say no more. Over lunch though, I’m starving out here.” Keigo clicks his teeth with a grin, escorting the two of you towards the very jet he’d arrived in. “A little unknown fact about me, usually I hate flying ”conventionally”. Gives me anxiety, and I’m awful company when I’m nervous.”
Settling into the light taupe hued cabin, you observe the not-so-subtle elements of class. Ivory shochu bottles with intricate crystalline glasses to match, the bar fully stocked with gold accents along the upholstery. Plates of costly Kobe style beef rested atop spotless porcelain, romaine lettuce coupled with grilled applewood bacon, chicken, avocado and buttermilk dressing settled into envy-inducing black marble bowls. The plane was spacious, and certainly cost a pretty penny or two. “You’re upfront, so I’ll be honest with you. As of right now, this plane is the last thing I’m worried about-” Hawks mutters lowly, dijon eyelets tapering into thin slivers.
“-It’s the Shie Hassaikai making their encore appearance, and with the Colombians at that.”
You choke on a sip of Vega Sicilia, pupils dilating at the thought.
“Now you spoke about wanting to make some money, right?” You nod, heart rate steadily rising.
“What if I could offer you something more? Something of...extensive value.” Keigo drawled, dark undertone flooding the air like a thick smoke.  “Like what, Takami?” You inquire.
“A seat at the table.” He shrugs, like one would if they were discussing something as trivial as ice cream flavors or Friday night plans, not the reorganization of a crime syndicate. “You’ve been workin’ for me shy of a year now right? Somethin’ like that? Anyway..”
He takes a deep, contemplative swig of the chestnut liquid, eyes boring into yours.
“You’re efficient, and you don’t take anyone’s shit. Good help’s hard to find in our line of work, and before you know it, this little hierarchy is gonna go under some..reorganization. Only the people who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty will have a place in the new order, so I want you there.”
“What’s the catch? I’m not dumb enough to just assume this is some promotion for busting my ass.” You tread, brain working double-time to try and decipher just what Keigo’s getting at. “Clever girl. It’s a simple task, in and out.” He assures, middle and ring finger sliding a matte-finish photo across the mahogany. Displayed was Kinan Zango, a member of the Shie Hassaikai’s middle rankings shaking hands with Joaquin Fuentes, a Columbia native known for having a body count in the double digits.
“Another fact about me: Only one thing heightens my anxiety more than planes...people who fuck with my money. This asshole Kinan’s been selling my routes to the fucking Columbians and pocketing the profits, and getting 20% of the product as a little “thank you” when he knows nobody moves coke through the Gulf other than Takami fucking Keigo. He’s becoming a problem, and I don't like those.” Kei growls, left eye twitching minutely. His nails are sinking into the polish of the wood, his energy vehemently furious.
“Take care of this for me, and you’ll be my plus one to Guadalajara tomorrow.”
The general public often made the mistake of writing Keigo off as just your average “pretty boy”. Whereas a trained eye could see that while he may be pretty, he was nobody to be tested. The sheer intellect he possesses to seek, hand-craft each and every route, assign planes to their designated locations along with alternatives should there ever be an issue? He just didn’t get enough credit.
So he took major offense when someone had the audacity to treat his hard work as though it was theirs.
Besides.. you got a man with looks, money and bloodlust? Tch. You’ve just created a monster.
You weren’t necessarily opposed to the idea of ridding the world of another drug-dealing degenerate, but the idea of casually committing a murder as a DEA agent in a foreign country just didn't sit right with you. Undercover agents weren’t permitted a “license to kill” should the investigation call for it either, so it was between committing a murder as government agent, or declining Keigo’s request and missing out on a front row seat to the cartel’s entire operation.
The silence that followed his sentence was deafening. Ice cubes chimed loftily as they swirled around inside his glass, clear liquid sloshing around while he awaited an answer.
Your jaw sets, eyes piercing into his.
“Consider it done.”
Tumblr media
Blood spattered onto the pale concrete, moonlight illuminating the scarlet hues. Your knuckles throbbed with pain, the sensation blossoming through your hand as your lips curled back in a snarl, vigorously ridding your hands of the other man’s bodily fluids.
“ If you really think coming after me for that bird brained motherfucker is gonna change anything, you got another thing fucking coming.” Kinan spat, nose steadily flowing with red. His lip was busted, face splotched with yellowing purple bruises. Tugging at his restraints he thrashed, mouth spewing white-hot venom.
“You’re talking a lot of shit for a middle-ranking yakuza who thinks some new coke routes is gonna keep the Hassaikai from dumping your body on the side of some road in Zacatecas.” You observe, sending a harsh kick between the mans ribs, steel toed boots making an audible crack. “The Japanese are like Dixie Cups to them...”‘use em’ once, then throw em’ away”, right? You’re a fool if you think your days aren't numbered once you wear out your welcome.”
“Fuck you. You’re little boy toy threw a temper tantrum, so he sent you to “take care of things”, isn’t that right?” Kinan coos, eyes softening in a mocking pout.
“Trust me, you're not the first slut Takami’s been sticking it in that he’s sent to kill me. Only difference between you and the rest of those bitches-” He huffs, head craning back against the metal chair to let our a soft breath of laughter. “-is that you’re gonna put up a fight.”
Suddenly his bones began to shift, popping and snapping as his skin began to pool below him; you recoiled in fear watching his body slowly slip from his imprisonment like gelatin exits a mold.
“I’ve got elastic bones kid! Whatever breaks just snaps right back into place.”
Skin stretching and pulling as he regained his original form, legs sprinting towards you. Before you could fire off your Quirk’s sonic blast his grip seized the back of your neck, a blade taking residence just below your left eye; it’s tip pressing uncomfortably into your water line.
“Now, if you're good, I’ll make it quick. Though I’m known for being pretty... through with my toys.” Kinan leers, a hand slowly slithering down your sides to reach for the muscle of your ass.
“Go to hell, and die there while you’re at it!” You shout.
Bile creeping into your throat, you seize the momentary shift in energy, generating a small sound wave that sent Kinan a few feet to your left; giving the two of you some distance. Your Quirk allowed you to absorb sound to power-up your physical movements, or send it out in the form of sonic blasts or sound waves, so the louder the sound, the more power it gave you. Readying your fists in anticipation for combat, you silently willed for a sudden disruption in the deafening silence as he rushed back to your rigid body.
What you didn’t anticipate was that the sudden bang that filled the air, and the lifeless body of Kinan dropping to your feet with a thud, his head...
excavated, for lack of a better word.
“Don’t you know the entire point of having backup while under cover is to... call for backup?” Edgeshot snarked, striding towards you, gun settled back into it’s holster. His foot carelessly nudged the bleeding man before removing a Polaroid camera from his knapsack and snapping a photo of the carnage.
“W-what the fuck?! Look, I don’t mean to sound ungrateful when I say this, but what the absolute fuck did you just do??? We’re government agents, in a foreign country, we can’t just fucking murder these assholes nor do we have the license to-” You sputter, brows arching in frustration.
“This was your ticket into Guadalajara. I just secured you box seats when you were this close to getting stuck in the damned nosebleeds. I believe the correct words you’re looking for are thank you.” Kamihara snaps, shoving the photo into your hand.
“We’re in a world completely different from our own. It’s forgiveness first, and permission later down here. I don’t like it either...but it’s just the way things are.” He sighs, hanging his head while his shoulders settled like the solar system rested on them.
“I’ll take care of this. Now take that to Hawks, and don’t you dare fuck it up. Don’t let me have killed this poor asshole in vain.”
You nod, stepping over Kinan’s body.
Good riddance.
“Thank you, by the way.” You putter. Kamihara returns the sentiment with a nod, before turning to the corpse before him, phone raised to his ear as he spoke with whoever was on the opposite line, eyes that were once grey now swam with deep scarlet.
Tumblr media
“Excellent work! I won’t lie, I had a feeling you were hardcore, but damn, this is some seamless shit! You deserve my praise.” Keigo beams, pearly teeth sparkling in the light of the cabin. Nodding in acceptance you grasped his hand upon his offering, permitting him to escort you towards your respective aircraft.
“Well, a promise is a promise. And if nothing else, I’m most certainly a man of my word. Meet me at this airstrip same time tomorrow, 8am. Pack light, Mexico’s a bitch in the summer, though you already know that.”
“Got it. Pleasure doing business with you, Hawks.”
“Call me Keigo, if you want. I hate all the formal shit, long as we got respect, that's all I need.” He shrugs.
“Understood. See you tomorrow, Keigo.” You affirm, climbing the ladder to your jet, body visibly relaxing at the thought of rest.
“Wait--before you go, I wanted to ask ya. What’s with the whole ancient hieroglyphics tat you got goin on, on your spine? It just looks familiar, is all.” He queries.
Home.
November 12th, 2174.
“Y/N! I found somethin’! It’s this super cool protection rune I found in grandma’s things. Check it out! It wards off all evil, and whoever’s in possession of it can, like, balance their energy with the divine power.”
“You’re such a hippie, I swear to god.” You grin.
“Don’t hate because my chakras are balanced and yours aren’t, bitch.” She grinned, index and thumb coming together to flick your forehead.
“At least take it with you for your exam, for good luck! Pleaseeeee! I think it’ll really help.” Her doe eyes melting your steely resolve. You could never deny her, those eyes constantly solidifying her role as the younger sister.
“...Only if you’ll clean my room for me when I come back for Christmas.” You demand, an eyebrow raised in mirth.
“Deal.”
And even though you never did admit it to her, that tiny piece of paper tucked into your bra did more for you during that exam than any late night cram session ever could’ve.
“It’s a protection rune. To ward off all evil energies, spirits and all that shit.” You mutter.
“Hm. Looks like it works, seeing how well tonight panned out for ya. Could use me one, would probably keep old man Todoroki out my fuckin’ hair.” He chuckles, hands releasing from the railing as he threw you a wave.
“But I wouldn’t worry too much about tomorrow, anyway. I got a feeling you’re gonna fit in just fine with us.” He smirked.
Ah.
If only that were true, Keigo.

When it rains - an Edgejeanist backstory
Ao3 link
As I have mentioned before I wanted to do a drawing for this eventually but it would take a lot of effort and I don’t have that in me right now so I’m gonna share it with you in the form of a rather long jumble of words instead :D it might be too long to read on tumblr because it kept on crashing the app when I worked on it so please feel free to read it over on ao3!
I wasn’t really happy with the drawing I did for the injury prompt so I’m posting this to make up for it lmao
If you have not read my Edgeshot backstory (well the summary that I did), I do recommend it because it may give some context as to what they’re talking about!
This was originally meant to be happy but it turned out kinda angsty (unsurprisingly)...but then I managed to make it not as angsty?? Anyway ->
Warning: a few times they talk about death, mentions of injury, self-doubt and generally quite sad stuff.
Also, it turned out incredibly long so imma stuff it all under the cut for those of you who don’t wanna read it :)
Hakamata Tsunagu wasn’t one to usually complain when sent on a mission, however on this particular stormy evening he really didn’t fancy the idea of being caught up in a case that wasn’t in his own area, simply because he was “passing by” trying to go home. But, he understood that this guy was quite the hassle and it would probably be best to sort it out as soon as possible. When he arrived to the area he could see that there were already many other heroes on the scene, including one of the higher ranking heroes - Edgeshot. They had met before and had worked together on various cases due to the two of them being known for rather rapidly climbing up the ranks, not to mention that their ranks were neighbouring and often would over take one another. So they knew each other, to some extent. He walked over to where the ninja hero was standing to ask him about the details of the villain they were going against.
“Fire-type quirk, troublesome. Had many sidekicks aiding him in an armed robbery. We’ve managed to apprehend most of the smaller accomplices, however this guy’s a pain, so I was told to wait for you to arrive in order to end this quickly.” The fiber hero hadn’t even said a word and had already gotten his answer.
“I see. I guess we should probably get to it then, as he seems to have his eye on escape.” Jeanist swiftly responded as he went on to restrict the villain’s clothes to prevent him from moving any further. Luckily, the area had been cleared out and the other villains had been carted away by the other heroes that were in the scene, so the only ones left in the area were the two of them, and this maniac.
The air around the two pros started to heat up and before they could act, flames burst from the open air around them causing them both to flinch and Jeanist to lose his focus. The villain started to sprint away from the scene but Edgeshot was one step ahead of him. The hero had rushed over and the two had started to engage in a fight, and the villain had no problem with using his quirk to aid in this. Jeanist tried to drag the villain back to the open space using the denim threads of his own clothing and had managed to grab hold of him, however, the two were unaware of what the man was carrying. He was taken back when a cold, sharp object came flying towards him, cutting through the high collar of his hero costume and through the skin of his ear and cheek - causing him to curse quite audibly.
“Watch it!” The silver haired hero hissed as he took another swing at the walking flamethrower, now also knife-thrower apparently, in front of him.
“My apologies,” mumbled the lanky blond as he regained his posture once more and continued to restrain the armed robber.
The other hero hesitated for a moment. “Ah- wait no, sorry, I meant uh- I meant the other guy, not you sorry.. you just got a knife thrown at you why would I yell at you?” They hadn’t properly spoken before so Shinya really didn’t want to give him the wrong impression of himself, especially since it was someone he kind of admired and...uh well...yeah. The two shared a rather awkward apologetic glance as they tried to come up with something to say but were rather rudely interrupted when-
“Oh for THE LOVE OF-” the villain angrily snapped around, “YOU TWO ARE REALLY DOIN’ MY HEAD IN! WOULD’YA GIVE IT A REST? OR AT LEAST JUST. SHUT. UP.” The heroes barely had time to react when the villain set his whole body and the air around it on fire. The flames engulfed the two who were previously fighting each other and briskly travelled along the threads that were restricting the man from escaping, and towards a startled Jeanist. The fire had reached the fiber heroes arm at this point and was obviously going to spread further if it weren’t for him removing that part of his sleeve, only shortly after the ninja hero had speedily shot forwards and cut through the fiber that connected Jeanist and the villain, his own arm very much ablaze. However, he didn’t look too concerned for his own injury as he eyed the taller man’s scorched arm.
The two heroes were now starting to get rather tired. Not because they were weak, or this guy strong, but just because they wanted to go home. They’d really had enough at this point and really wanted to just end this before the weather got any worse, but this stupid lunatic just wouldn’t give in! Maybe it was the fact that they had never really fought alongside each other before, so were holding back the more powerful, more dangerous side of their quirks - in case a mistake would be made that could injure the other. That was probably why it took so long.
After many more painfully long minutes, they had managed to wear down the robber enough to get close enough to knock him out. Tying him up, the two heroes handed the unconscious villain over to the police that had just arrived to help clear up the scene of any passer-by’s. At this point, it was the late evening and already rather dark and gloomy, the sky let out a large growl as if to warn that it would only get worse...and well, it’s point was proven as it started to rain.
The blond hero sighed and glanced up at the sky in dismay, realising that all that paperwork wasn’t going to get done by itself, and grumbling at the fact that he still had to get back home - which was going to be a real pain in this weather. He wasn’t a huge fan of the rain, especially with that denim hero costume of his, but he decided to ignore all of that and started making his way towards the train station, hoping to get home before the weather becomes too bad. Edgeshot noticed the other hero’s intent to go home and looked back up at the sky. No chance. That weather was way worse than Jeanist thought it was and he knew that by the time the other man reached the train station, there would be an unbelievable length of time before he would be able to get to where he wanted to go - not to mention how busy it would be. Taking a moment to think things through, he decided to chase after the lanky hero and called out to him, suggesting a better idea.
“I wouldn’t take the train right now if I were you,” Shinya advised the tall figure in front of him.
Tsunagu was confused, he wanted to get home and that was currently his only means of transport. “Why? What’s wrong? Please tell me there’s not another villain to deal with...” he murmured. Oh he really hoped that wasn’t the case, because there’s no way he could fight in this storm - especially with all these new burns, they may have been small but wow they hurt like hell! He looked down at the shorter man in front of him, weary of the answer he may receive but felt an odd sense of relief when he saw him let out a light chuckle. Or was it cough? Maybe a sigh? How would he know - that man was as mysterious as they get!
“Ah no, that’s not it.” Shinya couldn’t help but feel amused by Tsunagu’s response. The rain was soaking into his costume and was making it a little harder to breathe through his mask, so he tried his best not to laugh. “It’s just that this storm isn’t going to be easing anytime soon, and I feel that it’s only going to get worse - there’s no chance that transport will be easy, especially not for a hero in such a state as yourself.”
“Oh...I hadn’t thought of that,” Tsunagu replied, “do you...have any suggestions as to what I should do instead?” He understood what the other was saying, he had quite a few burns and a large gash across the side of his face - there’s no way that people wouldn’t notice that - but he really did want to get out of this miserable rain. So where could he possibly go, if not straight home?
“Yes, actually, that’s what I was wanting to talk to you about.” Shinya shifted his weight from one foot to the other, unsure as to how he should phrase his next question. “Um...well...my...my house- I mean, do you want to stay at my place? Until the storm blows over-” he stopped himself mid-sentence. That did not come out the way he heard it in his head, and why did he panic?
“Pardon?”
“Sorry, I-” Oh. Right. He probably didn’t understand that rushed mumble of his. Thank god, Shinya could have another go at mending his failed attempt at a suggestion. “Ah...my house isn’t far from here, it doesn’t take that long to walk there. And, well, I just wanted to suggest that you come with me. Those injuries could do with tending to, and with this storm getting worse, I just thought that it might be of help to you to stay at mine until the storm passes. Only if you’d be willing of course- It’s simply a suggestion I thought might be easier than you staying in this rain.”
“Oh. I see. That’s...thoughtful...I- are you sure?” Tsunagu was taken aback, but was definitely not opposed to the idea of getting out of the rain.
“Yes, of course. If you are okay with accompanying me?”
“Really?”
“Yes!”
“...thank you”
Shinya glanced up at the taller figure in front of him and smiled. Not that you could really tell.
They both decided it would be best to stay somewhere warm, get patched up, and wait for the weather to relax. So, off they went, away from the scene that had just been up in flames - now basically back to normal - and toward wherever this mysterious little ninja’s home was.
————————————————————
After a while of walking through heavy rain, dodging leaves as they zoomed past on the wind of the winding path, and silently accompanying each other with minimal words between them, they finally reached Shinya’s house. Not in the middle of nowhere, but also not near any busy city noise. It was peaceful, well, as peaceful as it could be in a raging storm.
Shinya fumbled at the door handle with numb fingers, as he attempted to unlock it as quickly as possible. The door opened with a small click and was gently pushed open. He gestured for the taller man to enter and closed the door after them, relieving them from the cold wind. As soon as they were both inside, they shared a long sigh of relief - ahhh....warmth...
“Sorry, it isn’t much,” Shinya said as he set down his bags and rain soaked hero gear, “I’m the only one that lives here, so I never really thought about how small it was. But now that someone else is here with me...”
“Haha it’s fine! Lovely, even, I think it’s quite sweet.” Tsunagu chuckled, placing his heavy and rather soggy denim coat gently to the side. He’d always liked the more traditional style houses, they had this comforting feeling to them that he couldn’t quite describe. “How long have you had this place?”
Shinya smiled and led Tsunagu towards the living room, they could do with a sit down after all that walking. “It was my Gran’s, well, she wasn’t really my Gran but that’s what we called her. She took us in and looked after us - my sister and I - and after she died we kept this place. Eventually, my sister moved out to be nearer the main city, but I thought it best to stay. I’m comfortable here, you know what I mean?”
“Of course,” Tsunagu nodded, “I think it’s wonderful.”
“Thanks...”
Shinya looked up, watching as droplets of water dripped from the other’s droopy fringe, his own hair now clinging to the side of his face. They both still had their faces masked and breathing through damp fabric probably wouldn’t be very good for their health. As Shinya noticed this, he let out a startled noise that took Tsunagu by surprise.
“AH!”
“What? What happened? Is something wrong?”
“No, I just realised, we’re still stuck in our costumes. They’re soaked! It’s probably best if we get cleaned up before anything else...” Shinya exclaimed.
“Oh, right.” Tsunagu replied quietly. He’d actually forgotten about the rain, which was weird because normally he’d be grumbling about it louder than the storm itself!
“There’s a spare bathroom downstairs, just to the left of the kitchen. It’s quite small but works just as well.” Shinya handed Tsunagu a towel and some spare clothes, looking a little hesitant as he did so. “I had some spare clothes lying around, though I’m sorry they probably won’t fit you very well...you’re very tall compared to me...” Shinya muttered sheepishly.
Tsunagu chuckled at the shorter man’s rather obvious remark and folded the fabric that was now in his own hands. “That’s very kind of you, thank you. It’s okay, I’m sure I’ll be able to adjust it to fit well enough.”
“Oh, of course, that’s- you can do that can’t you...I kinda forgot about that.” Shinya felt even more embarrassed from that, but managed to brush it off as he looked back up at the rather amused figure in front of him. “Well anyway, I’ll be cleaning myself up upstairs and preparing the things we need to tidy up those troublesome injuries of yours-”
“And yours I hope.” Tsunagu briefly interrupted.
“O-of course,” Shinya stuttered a reply. He’d actually somehow forgotten about his own injuries, too caught up in the company of another for once. “Well, if you should need anything, please just call me, I’ll be down as soon as I’m finished- oh and don’t feel the need to rush, take as long as you need.”
“Thank you.”
Tsunagu watched as the other left the room before making his way towards the bathroom. It was quite a small room. He made sure the door was securely locked before peeling away his sodden hero costume, piece by piece.
Looking at his reflection in the mirror, he noticed how deep of a cut it was that ran across his left cheek and over his ear. The rain had washed away most of the blood but it was still quite the nasty injury. He grimaced. ‘That’s gonna leave a bit of a scar...’ he thought to himself. Oh well, just another one to add to his growing collection of them. Although, he suddenly realised something. He’d have to show his face. And what about Shinya? Didn’t he always cover his face as well? Would they really be able to trust each other enough to show their faces to one another - even though they barely knew each other?
He felt himself freeze as he thought about it. They were both known for masking their faces, but the idea of showing his face had always made him feel uneasy. Little did he know that about five minutes prior, Shinya had the same nerve-wracking revelation and was feeling just as conflicted as he was. ‘Stop it, dammit,’ Tsunagu frowned, ‘he’s been so kind and nice to you, I doubt there’s anything to worry about...’
He shook his head and brushed these worries aside before stepping into the running shower. Oh wow, that felt nice. The water flowed over his shuddering body and embraced him in a warm blanket of comfort. Though, it did sting a bit when it seeped into the crevices of the gash on his face, and over the burns on his arms. However, he didn’t mind. He was used to these kinds of small pains and, though he’d be ashamed to admit it, he found it oddly comforting.
At the same time, Shinya was preparing a first aid kit, disinfectant and some warm damp cloths (he, luckily, knew what he was doing. Even if I don’t lol). He’d already managed to clean himself up and had changed into some older, plain clothes - so fast, but as expected from someone as stealthy as himself! Humming quietly to himself, he listened as the sky let out another loud grumble. “Why are you so angry today!?” He chuckled at the noise the raging storm made as he tidied up, “you’re doing this on purpose aren’t you! You always seem to pick ever so specific times to conjur up a storm...is it because I seemed lonely? You want me to make a friend or something?”
The sky growled again and Shinya took that as his response. He’d always found himself talking to the nature around him when he was alone, it had just become a habit of his - he found comfort and company from doing so...and it always seemed to have a way of replying. He was a bit anxious at the thought of showing his face to another, but had managed to push away his concerns as best he can. ‘What else is there to be worried about, Shinya?’ He thought to himself. ‘He’s already in your house. So in terms of his knowledge about you now, you’d basically already be screwed! He knows where you live, so I don’t think that showing your face would be that bad. Plus he’s a hero, isn’t he? Not to mention he’s trusting you with his own identity too...it’ll be fine...’
He sighed and clutched his stinging, scorched arm. Glancing at the rain that danced its way down the cold glass of his bedroom window, he headed back downstairs to give company to his guest who was just as battered and tired as he was.
Shinya set the items he had prepared, down on the small coffee table and walked to the kitchen to grab some hot water. As he stood there, he heard the bathroom door click and turned to see it open ever so slightly. “You’re done? I’ve prepared some stuff to bandage up our injuries and disinfect that nasty cut of yours,” he called out.
“Ah, yes. Thank you,” Tsunagu replied from behind the door.
“...uhm...would you like me to go and wait-”
“Oh! No, there’s no need, sorry...” Tsunagu blurted out as fast as he could. “It’s just...well...I...” he trailed off. ‘It’s never been easy, will he understand that?’
“Don’t worry, I understand. But I guess that with it being just the two of us here... can we say that we may fully trust one another?”
Tsunagu let out a small sigh of relief, before nudging the door open further and emerging from behind it. Making eye contact with the smaller figure in front of him, he smiled gently as he allowed the other to view his face. Shinya doing the same in return. “I guess so.”
Shinya locked eyes with the man that stood in front of him. Wow. He...did not look anything like how he expected...not that he really knew what he expected. Damp, blond hair was messily ruffled across the top of the taller man’s head. He’d managed to make the spare clothes fit well enough to make it look as if they could possibly be his own, though they were still awfully short. They suited him well, actually, and Shinya felt himself stare a little at this gangly noodle in front of him. Why did he look good in those clothes? Hell, they’re old and rather tatty and are way too small for him, and yet he still manages to look like a freaking model in them! And to top it off, they were just some clothes that Shinya owned, that happened to be the longest things he could find! He was unsure of why, but the sight in front of him definitely made him feel rather “odd” (in his own words) - though he didn’t really know what that was.
There were so many things about him in that moment that seemed so out of character for “best jeanist” but what really caught his eye were his scars. Ignoring the large cut on his cheek, Shinya traced his eyes over the bottom half of Tsunagu’s face in a shared silence. Large scars ran from just above his chin, and down to his neck. Some ran over his lips, which had formerly been pressed together to form a small smile, but were now separated slightly in a shocked manner. Noticing where he was staring, Shinya felt his face heat up as he quickly averted his eyes and looked down at the kettle that he was clutching (he went to go boil some water, but had gotten distracted before he could actually put the kettle on). ‘What on earth are you doing, Shinya!? I mean he’s really pretty, sure, but you can’t just stare omg-’ he lectured himself as his face progressively got more unnaturally warm, ‘those scars though....whatever caused those couldn’t of been a small accident...’
Concurrently, Tsunagu was completely stunned. ‘Pretty...’ was the only thought that circulated around his mind for many long seconds. Not only was this man incredibly considerate and mysterious, he was also very pretty and wow did that make Tsunagu’s face redden like an overheated saucepan. He took in his sharp features with observant eyes. Shinya’s hair was no longer fashioned into spiky points, but was now pulled up into a high ponytail. He still had that long fringe covering his right eye, but instead of seeming blocky, it was now loose and soft - and oh wow was Tsunagu really resisting the urge to pat it - though it still looked to be quite sharp, as if you could cut your fingers on the edge of each strand. Tearing his focus away from the shorter man’s hair, he found himself softly staring at Shinya’s face. Though his first thought may have been about how pretty he was, he couldn’t help but notice the other’s scars. Yes, he had quite a few. They were mostly quite small and would go unnoticed by some, but there was one that stood out. A long scar, in the shape of a large gash just like the majority of his own, ran down from just under the corner of the uncovered side of Shinya’s mouth, and down to the middle of his neck. ‘What an idiot.’ Tsunagu thought to himself. ‘You were so busy worrying about showing your own face to even think that he’d be worried about the same thing...it’s...oddly comforting to see another that hides them...even though its not something I should probably be comforted about, since it means that there’s most possibly a painful story behind them...just like my own.’
After a couple of minutes of a shared, awkward silence, Shinya started the conversation back up again with a few stuttering words exchanged between them and nervous laughter. “Ah...um...I guess we should probably...you know...”
“Aha yeah, sorry...” Tsunagu rubbed the back of his neck, “the...uh...you...you forgot the hot water...”
“Oh! Yeah...sorry about that! Um, please, go and sit down. I’ll be there in a moment.”
Tsunagu made his way to the living room and sat down, his mind still curious about all these new discoveries. The pain in his cheek had started to sting even more than before and he was really wishing that he didn’t have to deal with that right now. Letting out a shaky sigh, he reached up to grab it in a hope to ease the pain slightly, but his burnt arm got caught on the edge of the sofa, causing him to let out a distressed grunt.
“Are you okay?” Shinya asked from just beside where the taller man was seated. Tsunagu was quite startled by the other, who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere.
“Ah, it’s just this stupid cut. It’ll probably be better once it’s been treated,” Tsunagu brushed it off, still rather confused by the speed of which the other man seemed to appear without being noticed.
“I see. Well, everything has been prepared so we should probably take care of that first.” Shinya smiled and took a seat next to the other man, gently picking up a cotton swab and dipping it in disinfectant. “The cut just has to be disinfected before anything else though, who knows what else that bastard had been doing-”
“Haha! You’re approaching this just like a proper doctor! So serious and everything,” Tsunagu laughed.
This made Shinya chuckle in response. “Well, I do like to think that I know a bit about what I’m doing!”
They laughed together for a couple of minutes and the tension between the two of them started to dissipate. Tsunagu eyed the cotton swab in Shinya’s hand and realised, how on earth was he gonna do that himself? Well, I think we all know that the answer is he wasn’t. Even he came to that conclusion, as he exchanged funny words with the man in front of him. Shinya knew this, and decided that it was time to tend to the lanky blond’s wounds.
“Do you trust me?” Shinya slyly asked.
“Huh?”
“Do you trust me?”
Tsunagu was hesitant to answer, not because he didn’t trust him, but because he had a feeling as to what was going to happen. “...yes...”
Without missing a beat, Shinya leaned forward and pressed the cold, disinfectant-soaked cotton pad against Jeanists cheek. This caused Tsunagu to scrunch up his face and let out a tiny screech from the shock - it stung like hell - and he was not prepared. “Wrong answer!” Shinya chuckled. He was a little unsure whether he was actually going to do that or not, but knew that it would only hurt more if the other man had to slowly and hesitantly do it himself...plus he actually knew what he was doing.
“Argh! You- you’re evil you know that?” Tsunagu yelped and sat upright, trying to get used to the sting of the disinfectant that was seeping into his cut.
“I try my best,” Shinya hummed as he held the taller mans face, tilting it slightly upwards to better see the injury in the light. Whilst doing so, he noticed how many scars were littered across his face, and felt a little sad at the sight of them. ‘There’s so many...I didn’t really notice before, but now, seeing them up close...these all feel like painful memories. And no matter how much I understand his reasons for hiding them, I cannot help but wonder what on earth happened to him...’
Tsunagu held his breath, wincing every once in a while as the smaller man dabbed the gash on his cheek. He was so close! Not only that, but he was holding his face and wow, did he look like an angel as the light illuminated him from above. He felt the tops of his ears redden as he let out a small breath. As Shinya held his face close to his own, Tsunagu noticed things that he hadn’t spotted before, and made him even more curious than before. Like the front tooth that was slightly chipped, that he could see when the other’s mouth twitched open everytime he dabbed at his cheek. Or, the two rather odd but beautiful tattoos that were wrapped around his two wrists. ‘So much to take in, I didn’t really notice it before, but all these things are so unique and different. His face looks so soft....and pretty....But I truly do wonder what could’ve happened to cause that.’
“Your scar-” Tsunagu mumbled before quickly cutting himself off. ‘Tsunagu, you idiot! You weren’t supposed to just blurt that out...I guess there’s no other option than to just ask now you stupid- stupid, ugh!’
“Hm?” Shinya locked eyes with the other in a distracted confusion, before getting embarrassed and quickly looking back down.
Tsunagu stuttered as he tried to find the right words to say. “O-oh, well...I, uh...Sorry, I was just curious about your scar. It’s just- I, well...wondered-”
“How I got it?” Shinya interrupted quietly, almost in a rather hushed tone.
“Ah. Yes. Sorry, I don’t mean to be nosy, it was simply a curious thought.”
“No, it’s alright, it’s okay. It seems both our curiosities lay in the same area of thought.” Shinya smiled softly, lowering the cotton swab and throwing it in the bin. As he went to pick up the thread (you know, the one they use to stitch up these wounds) Tsunagu placed his hand on his arm and stopped him from doing anything else. Shinya handed the thread to Jeanist and watched as the blond man slowly and carefully stitched up his now clean wound in one gentle swoop of his hand - though it did look quite painful by the look on his face. “Woah!” Shinya exclaimed in awe. He often forgot about the beautifully handy and elegant things that the other man could do with his quirk. This caused Tsunagu’s ears to redden even further.
Shinya let out a deep sigh and sat back slightly to take a rest for a moment. “Ah, where do I start? You said you were curious about my scar, but I’m sorry to tell you that this isn’t any light-hearted story...” he started, scratching the back of his neck and wincing as the burnt skin on his arm brushed against the fabric of the sofa.
“Sorry, you don’t have to...”
“No, it’s alright! To be honest, I think it would actually do some good to tell someone for a change...because, for once I feel that I can trust someone, and that’s a weird thing...” he muttered the last part under his breath so that the kind man next to him wouldn’t hear it. Tsunagu simply smiled in response, looking down as he acknowledged the smaller man’s courage to reveal a very clearly painful memory.
“Uhm, well, are you...are you aware of the small band of mountainside villages down south?” Shinya asked, “if I’m correct in thinking that you are a couple of years older than me...”
“Pffft- did you just call me old?” Tsunagu snorted.
“No! Of course not!” Shinya quickly defended himself. “It’s just that, you are around my age, so I was just wondering whether you’d know of it or not.” He smiled sheepishly as he watched the other’s amused face turn into one that was more focused.
The older man hummed quietly. “Yes, I think I know which villages you are talking about. My mother used to take us there every year when my father was off of work, to go and watch the yearly festivals. Oh, and to visit the market! They had some amazing tomatoes!” Shinya laughed at this little comment. They truly were some good tomatoes, though he preferred the strawberries that they’d grow there. “But...we...we stopped visiting when...” Tsunagu trailed off with a frown and looked back up at Shinya, noticing the distant smile that was faintly spread across his face.
“Then, you know what happened...you know what happened all those years ago?” Shinya questioned quietly as he reached for the bandages that were tangled in the basket. But, doing so only made his arm quiver in pain even more.
“Ah, please, let me do that,” Tsunagu insisted, reaching out for the bandages and using his quirk to gently and swiftly untangle them. He gave Shinya a reassuring look and gently took his arm, starting to wrap it very carefully. “Yes. I was around...13? Yeah, I think I was about 13 when it happened. It was all over the news, I don’t think I could ever forget it. It...was so awful, just hearing what happened...” he had a rough idea as to what Shinya was going to tell him, and it made his heart sink at the thought of it.
The sky let out another huge growl, and a streak of lightning flashed past the window, causing Tsunagu to flinch. Shinya didn’t move a muscle, but simply carried on with what he was doing.
“Hm.” Shinya felt his face warm up slightly as the taller man held his arm softly. ‘So gentle’ he made himself blush even more, but shook these thoughts away before continuing with what he was saying. “I guess it’s kind of obvious then, what I’m about to say I mean.”
“I...I don’t want to immediately assume what happened, but if what I think is true...”
“Yeah.” Shinya sighed. “It was my home. I’d lived there all my life until that day...they...they took everything from me...”
Tsunagu stopped wrapping the other’s arm and looked up, their faces merely inches away, taking in the broken sadness in his eyes and allowing it to drown his heart even further into the pit that it had sunk into.
“Everyone I knew, my friends, my family, everyone, they all died in front of me. There was nothing I could do to stop it... I was the only one that survived...just me...a small, defenceless, 10 year old child. I grew up as part of a family that was renowned for protecting their people, yet I couldn’t even protect my own innocence...my...my own mother...” Shinya’s voice started to get weaker and smaller as all of the memories started flooding back.
Tsunagu could do nothing but listen in shock. This was a lot to take in, and Shinya was trusting him enough to tell him something this personal. It pained him, watching the small ninja’s face contort into a broken frown. “...I’m sorry...”
His voice made Shinya snap back to reality and look him in the eye, confused. “What for? There isn’t anything for you to be sorry for...”
“No, I mean, making you have to think back on a memory that painful...it must’ve been horrible.” Tsunagu finished wrapping the other’s arm and let go of it slowly, hands still slightly lingering over the injured area.
Shinya sighed. He couldn’t disagree with that, it truly was the most painful memory he could imagine. Tucking his silver hair behind his ear, he reached up and touched the scar on his chin. “This was from that day. The people who ambushed us tried to attack me. They had stolen my own grandfather’s sword and managed to just catch my face as my mother whisked me away. It hurt, but I didn’t really notice it until later on...which...well...it’s not like they survived either...”
“Oh dear.” Tsunagu muttered, his face and arm still stinging. The wind picked up and rattled against the window, startling him again.
“I guess you’re wondering what these are as well,” Shinya gestured towards the intricate patterns that were inked into his wrists. “My family was part of that village for many generations. Over these generations, the Kamihara name became rather well known as a family of protectors and guardians. When my family died, I felt like I had lost all my connections to being a ‘Kamihara’ and so I decided to get these tattoos.”
He lifted his left arm, “this represents my father’s side of the family, the Kamihara name.” Then proceeding to point at the other arm, he explained the rest. “This represents my mother’s side of the family, always one with nature. I find that it’s a comforting way to keep them with me at all times, even if they’re not really there. It means that I can keep them safe, and in return they keep me safe too.”
“Wow...I think they’re beautiful!” Tsunagu breathed. They really were. The patterns were so small and intricate yet they held so much meaning and story...just like Shinya himself. “That’s- quite the tragic past...”
“Hm. Well, that’s what happened really...not all of it, but I think it’s best if that is shared some other day.” Shinya plucked the bandages out of the lanky blond’s hands and gestured towards his arms, waiting patiently as the other hesitatantly held out his own scorched arm. He looked back up at Tsunagu’s face and, out of some sort of instinct, reached up and gently touched the long scars on his face, deep in thought. After a very brief moment of...whatever that awkwardness was, Shinya snapped his head down to look back at his hands and Tsunagu averted his eyes in a nervous manner, both turning much redder than they had been before. “A-ah, I’m sorry!” Shinya immediately blurted out.
“No, it’s- it’s okay...” Tsunagu managed to stutter out. Blimey, that was awkward, why did his face feel so hot?
Once they had both managed to laugh it off, Shinya decided to return the same curious question that had been on both of their minds. “So...your scars...how did you get yours?”
Tsunagu froze. He knew it would come up in the conversation at some point, but he still had that reaction whenever someone asked. Shinya noticed this, and panicked a little, “Sorry! You don’t have to-”
“No no, it’s only fitting for you to ask the same question...and I think it’s best you know, since you shared your own story with me.” The anxious Jeanist interrupted. “But, I must ask you not to think ill of me after hearing this, nor should you feel the need to keep me here...I’m...it’s just...I-”
“It’s alright,” Shinya reassured him, “I’m not gonna kick you out of my house, just because of your past...you...didn’t judge mine.”
“Heh,” Tsunagu smiled and watched as the small ninja bandaged up his arm delicately. “Well, it’s not a happy story either, I’m afraid!”
“Guess that makes the both of us!” Shinya let out a light chuckle.
“Yeah...” He paused. These memories still scared him. “When...when my quirk activated, I didn’t know how to control it, like most children. The only thing is, both my sister and I had our quirks activate at the same time, being twins and all this was expected. This, however, just made things worse. I was...I was wearing a scarf at the time, and, well basically...to put it simply, I strangled myself.” He looked up, realising how stupid that sounded.
“Oh! That’s awful, though I’m sure it was probably much more traumatic at the time,” Shinya smiled sympathetically. “I can’t really say the same for my own rather embarrassing quirk discovery....”
“Well that sounds like a story I’d love to hear!”
“Oh, I’m sure!” Shinya laughed and cut the bandage carefully, tying the ends around the other’s slender arm and making sure that everything was secured nicely. “So, was it that which caused those scars on your face? That sounds horrible.”
“Ah,” Tsunagu shifted his eyes in thought, “not exactly...you see, there was an accident later on in my childhood...and...well, it did a lot of damage...” he trailed off, “not only to myself...”
A loud clap of thunder startled them both, and Shinya darted his eyes up to see Tsunagu looking down at him with a solemn face. ‘Whatever happened, that doesn’t sound good...in any context...’ he thought, choosing not to interrupt the taller man.
“It was a villain attack that burst out in the middle of the street. My family just happened to be passing by, but there was this loud scream and I turned around just in time to see that this villain had taken a young girl, about my age at the time, and was planning on taking the rest of her friends too.” Tsunagu paused again, he wasn’t sure how to word this, he never knew how to say it. But this time, it seemed a lot easier. “Before I knew it, and well this is quite typical isn’t it, I found myself in the middle of it all, unable to breathe or move. There was...blood everywhere...pieces of fabric were piercing my body, strangling me, completely littering the area. I- I remember, just, hearing my sister screaming...the pain I felt...she had to go through it all...but I couldn’t do anything, the heroes couldn’t get near me.”
Shinya sat there, stunned from this information, unable to form words. It sounded like such an awful situation to be in, even from his own point of view. He watched as the blond man shifted in his seat and turned to lean back more comfortably with a sigh, unsure of what he should say. However, he thought that it would be best to allow Tsunagu to continue.
Tsunagu felt his chest tighten at the memory of what happened, but still carrying on. It felt nice to talk to someone about it for once. “I had managed to very seriously injure my neck and face, unable to breathe, especially from the panic that I felt. I thought that was the worst part...it really wasn’t.” Tsunagu looked up cautiously at Shinya, wanting to say something but too scared to go further. Shinya saw this and placed a small hand on his shoulder, trying to think of words to say.
“I’m sorry, I can’t say much in terms of comfort. But, whatever it is, please know that I’ll listen no matter what.” He gave a small smile. Despite the fact that they hadn’t really talked before this, he already felt that he could trust him, and wanted the other to feel the same way. He’d made many mistakes in the past, and had done things that had weighed down on him all the way through his life, so knowing that Tsunagu probably had the same thoughts towards whatever it was that happened to him.
Tsunagu felt relieved. No one had ever said those words to him before, and for once he felt that he wasn’t alone. And he’d be lying if he said that he didn’t feel like crying. He nodded slowly and took a deep breath before carrying on, “...well...I- I looked up to see the villain in front of me...he wasn’t breathing, he’d been caught up in the strands that I’d sent flying and...I...he...he didn’t survive...I killed him. Just a small, scared 12 year old child, yet I’d managed to kill a man in a moment of pure terror. I- I think it was how angry I felt that someone was being that bad, I don’t know...but whatever it was, I couldn’t stop it, and the fear from that day has haunted me ever since.”
Shinya was shocked, he had a feeling that something like that must’ve happened, but it was still not something he’d been expecting or hoping to hear. Though, he’d experienced the same kind of shock himself, so he knew that it wasn’t something to be taken lightly. “I...poor child...that’s not something that someone should go through...I know from experience as well...”
“Wh- really?”
“Yeah. Those villains that ambushed my village. In a moment of blind rage I had managed to rid of them entirely, completely unaware of what I did. So, I guess, we aren’t too different, huh?”
“Wow...yeah...look at us, just a couple of very traumatised, depressed and barely capable adults, trying to make a living out of helping others...heh.” Tsunagu remarked, making Shinya chuckle in agreement, his mind easing more and more. “Y’know, I got bullied a lot, trying to become a hero. My quirk was ‘not suitable’ for it and I was ‘weak’. The more they said it the more I believed them, and well, knowing what I had done and knowing that I’d not been able to save that man who was simply going down the wrong path...I really did feel weak. Ever since, I’ve just buried myself in my work, trying to give myself a reason to feel ‘strong’, taking on as many cases as I can even if I know that I can’t do them alone...and well these moments have caused me to make some...stupid...decisions in the past, and, well they’ve all left their mark on me quite prominently.”
Shinya’s eyes softened as he heard the other man spill all of these worries that he’d been hiding for so long. “Oh...poor Hakamata-senpai...” he said with a slightly saddened look.
“Ah, it’s alright. To be honest, I don’t think I’d be where I am now without their bitter words and mean, pain-inflicting prompts. Also, please, ‘Tsunagu’ is just fine!” He normally didn’t mind the formalities, but for some reason when the small ninja sitting beside him used them, it made him feel odd.
“Oh, okay.” Shinya’s face heated up slightly at the thought of using the other’s first name to address him, he wasn’t used to that. “So, I guess we both have kinda...depressing backstories...to our scars and ourselves in general.” (You may not be able to see it but eclair is currently smiling very gleefully)
“Yeah,” Tsunagu glanced at the rain dancing down the window, “I guess so.”
————————————————————
After a long time of exchanging funny stories (well, they aren’t funny at all really, they’re either sad memories or quite self-deprecating...but I guess that’s their way of bonding...to simply share their most traumatic experiences and become friends....huh) the tension between the two of them had almost completely lifted. They sat there chatting away, all bandaged up and tired as hell, simply making the most of each other’s company.
“Oh come on, how is that not funny-” Tsunagu exclaimed, gesturing towards Shinya as he laughed. The pain in his cheek had faded, almost completely, as he slowly became more comfortable.
“Because! You try tripping over, knocking yourself out for 2 hours on the edge of a stone fountain and chipping your tooth. It isn’t a fun experience!” Shinya said enthusiastically, very defensive about the little chip in his front tooth - in response to the taller man’s question.
“Of course, sorry! Poor little Kamihara-san~” Tsunagu replied with a smile.
“Please, just call me Shinya!”
“Shinya, huh?” Tsunagu felt a little bit shy at the thought of using his first name, but it would probably be easier. “You know, now that I think about it, being in the middle of this storm isn’t so bad.”
Shinya smiled. He’d always loved this type of weather, and seeing the lanky man in front of him start to agree, he felt like he’d somehow accomplished something.
They were startled from their little conversation by a loud beeping noise coming from Shinya’s phone. When he checked it, he let out a shocked gasp and this caused Tsunagu to be slightly worried. Was it something important?
“What? What is it?”
“I can’t believe it...it’s already 1:45...we’ve talked for so long!”
Tsunagu widened his eyes in disbelief as he checked his own phone. Yep. That was the time. They’d gotten so carried away by their conversation that they’d become completely unaware of the time. They shared a very shocked look before snickering at their own carelessness. “Hah! To think that there was a time I’d never imagined this would happen.”
Shinya quickly got up from his seat, and started to make his way to the kitchen. “Sorry, I realise that it’s probably way too late for this, but I realise I never offered you food!” He called out.
“It’s okay! I forgot about it myself! But to be honest, what food could we possibly have at 1:46am?” Tsunagu inquired, slowly becoming more aware of the hunger that crept through his stomach.
“Hm...” Shinya thought before looking back up at the confused man with excited eyes, “pizza?”
“Pizza?!”
“Uh-huh!”
“Who on earth sells pizza at this time?!”
Shinya chortled at the other’s comedic remark. “Oh, you seem to be forgetting all that I told you about my very first internship...” he said slyly.
“Of course...that’s actually a brilliant idea!” Tsunagu laughed. Well...who doesn’t love getting 50% off of pizzas, even at 1:47 in the morning!
So, they ordered pizza. Just...two pro heroes, chilling out at 2:00am, eating pizza instead of sleeping off their injuries. How fun!
After even more time, the two of them decided it was best to actually get some sleep, and Tsunagu watched as the silver haired man quietly said goodnight and crept up the stairs, before setting his head down on the arm of the sofa - his legs dangling over the edge.
He listened as the wind and rain battered against the window. Normally, he’d be fed up by these noises, however that night, he found himself listening to it peacefully, and he had a thought:
‘maybe the rain isn’t so bad after all...’

Here is my full summary for the Boku No Hero Academia HEROES RISING movie! I originally posted it as a thread on Twitter, but here’s a more cohesive version for easy reading! Enjoy~
MOVIE SUMMARY
The movie starts off with Rock Lock, Endeavor, and another Pro-Hero in an epic car chase going after Spinner, Dabi, and Mr. Compress in a truck. They're transporting some important item somewhere, and there is a SICKASS fight between Endeavor and Dabi.
Endeavor uses his flamethrower and blasts it at Dabi, who scoffs at him but throws his blue fire at Endeavor. The blast from Endeavor is stronger though, and Dabi and co. give up as they turn to mud (via Twice's quirk). The truck then reels off the cliff.
Hawks is on the scene to check the damage of the truck. He wonders what exactly they were trying to deliver as the truck was heavily damaged by the fire. Later, we see Nine regroup with Slice, Mummy, and Chimera as he tells them they will soon leave.
After the opening scenes with the villains, we have a short recap of "society consists of 80% of the population with super powers" etc. etc. After the short narration, we immediately dive into scenes of the Class A members helping out on Nabu Island.
The first scene is two girls getting hit on by two guys, but Mineta helps save the girls by sticking the guys to the floor with his mogimogi balls. The girls see Ojiro and think that he's the one who saved him, but Ojiro blushes and says no it's not me!
Shoji is helping out at the beach as a lifesaver, and he spots a kid in trouble. Tsuyu dives into the water to help grab him, and then Satou rows the boat to save the boy. Tokoyami and Sero are also helping out at the beach.
Todoroki is helping the shaved ice stand make ice, and the shaved ice guy asks Todoroki to make more ice, and Todoroki creates a giant boulder of ice and says, "You can use this, right?" The shaved ice stand maker looks at him like wtf lol.
Next scene is Ashido, Ochako, Aoyama, Hagakure, Kaminari, and Deku sitting around in the Hero Agency headquarters on the island. Ashido is taking calls and dispatching Class A members to help out people around the island. They're all in hero costumes.
Bakugou and Kirishima are sitting in their own tatami room, and Bakugou is reading a magazine while lying down on the floor. Kirishima sits across from him. Ochako calls across the room and asks if anyone can help someone find a lost kid.
Kirishima offers to go, but Bakugou says to him in a light tone, "do you think your quirk would be effective to help pinpoint a lost boy?" and Kirishima looks at Bakugou like "Hmm actually..." Jirou volunteers instead and says her quirk would be helpful.
Deku narrates "so why exactly are we at the island? well..." There is a flashback to the Hero Committee saying that villains are getting stronger, and they need to train students to be prepared for anything. Aizawa tells Class A they need to do hero work.
Flash forward back to more montage of Class A members helping out with people around the island. Ashido and Aoyama are helping construction workers clear rubble, Kaminari is using his electricity to help power a farming tractor.
Kirishima is helping move cargo on a truck with the truck driver's wife and baby thanking him. He does his hardening pose and gestures "No problem!" but the hardening scares the baby, making the baby cry LOL.
Yaoyorozu helps repair a motorcycle. Deku, Ochako, and Jirou finding the "missing boy" at a playground. Deku approaches the boy but his sister comes to "save him" from the heroes. The kids then scurry away, leaving Deku, Ochako, & Jirou like wtf was that?
As the Class A members are helping around the island, All Might is back at U.A. and worries about whether they will be okay. Cut back to the kids at the island, and they're wearing their casual clothes now. They're super tired from the day's work.
The Class A members mention how this kind of hero work is still hard, even though they're not fighting anyone. However, the island citizens are thankful, and they bring a bunch of food for the kids to eat at the Hero Agency.
Bakugou and Kirishima are lounging in the tatami room together, and Bakugou mentions this kind of work is boring. Kirishima has his face on the table and looks at Bakugou like ;) as he says "Well, there's no villains here, so that's why."
Kaminari, Sero, Ojiro come and tell Kirishima to join them at the onsen bath and says that Bakugou can't go because he has to patrol the grounds since he didn't do any hero work all day long. Bakugou complains, but the guys leave him be.
As Bakugou is patrolling, Deku is outside training his quirk, and he thinks about OFA and how he can train himself to be able to use this power that All Might has given him. There is a brief scene where they show all the predecessors and silhouettes.
One of the silhouettes looks basically like Bakugou with burning red eyes, surrounded by a red aura. The other silhouette is drawn surrounded by a purple aura with their hair blowing in the wind. It is this exact scene from the manga, but clearer.
Tumblr media
As Deku is training, Bakugou sees him and asks him if he's made that quirk his own yet. Deku says he's getting there, and Bakugou says, "You think you can surpass ME even with that quirk perfected? Just try."
Suddenly, Katsuma comes hurriedly to Deku and says that a villain has appeared. Deku is about to help but Bakugou pushes him aside and grabs the kid, telling him to take him to where the villain is.
The next scene shows Hawks in a committee meeting. The Hero Committee mentions that the League of Villains managed to get a hold of perhaps the quirk nullifying bullet as there have been cases of people getting their quirks stolen.
They ask Hawks if he had heard anything about this, but Hawks said that he doesn't think that these incidents are from the quirk bullet. He thinks it's something else.
Next scene is Toga, Dabi, Mr. Compress, Spinner, and Shigaraki chilling at a rundown shack in the middle of nowhere. They complain to Shigaraki asking him what they're supposed to do. Shigaraki said that the Doctor has something for him.
Cut to Katsuma & Maholo's Dad on a business trip in Kyushu. He suddenly gets attacked by Nine, and Nine takes his quirk. The dad has a cell regeneration quirk. Nine suffers from some kind of ailment that causes his body to freeze up. He needs this quirk.
When Nine takes the Dad's quirk, he uses it to power up and calls lightning down to destroy parts of the city. He then freezes up as he realizes that the Dad's quirk cell regeneration isn't compatible with him. He then sees a video recording of the kids.
Nine then decides to aim for the kids as one of them must have a quirk that is similar to the Dad that might be compatible with his body. Nine is Blood Type B, so he needs someone that can help him regenerate his cells with the correct blood type.
We go back to Bakugou carrying Katsuma and asking him where the damn villain is. They then see a gigantic monster size Praying Mantis wrecking havoc on the side of the hill. Bakugou blasts off to fight the monster but then suddenly stops.
He realizes that the monster is a hologram, and Maholo's quirk is creating holograms of anything she wants. He could tell that the monster was fake because there was no shadow beneath the monster.
Bakugou is furious as he shouts to the girl if she's trying to make fun of him? He tells her that he's aiming to be Number 1 and doesn't need stupid kids to play pranks on him.
As he lunges at the girl, Deku holds him back, and Bakugou gets angry and wrestles Deku on the floor as Katsuma and Maholo scurry off.
The kids end up in a sugar cane field as they look at the stars. Maholo complains that she hates heroes because they're all talk. Katsuma says that they're good heroes though, but Maholo said that the best hero in her heart is their father.
Next scene is back in Kyushu where Hawks is looking at the damage to the city that was caused by Nine earlier that day. He wonders what exactly is going on.
Next day at the island, Ashido gets a call from an island citizen to help out. She dispatches Hagakure and Aoyama, and she tells Mineta that the girl sounded really cute on the phone. Mineta then says he's down to go help too.
Deku wants to go too, but as he leaves the Hero Agency building, he sees Katsuma approach him. Katsuma comes to apologize for the problems they made for him and Bakugou the previous day.
Bakugou also listens to Katsuma's apology as he is outside standing on the veranda and eating a popsicle. He listens to Katsuma explain that he wanted to prove to his sister that Heroes were good people who do come to the rescue when people are in need.
Deku tells Katsuma that it's no problem as his own goal is to become a great hero who can help save people. Bakugou listens carefully to their conversation, and Deku notes that Katsuma has an Edgeshot pin on his bag. He asks Katsuma if he likes heroes.
Katsuma says that he really admires Heroes, but Maholo just worries about him. Deku has a flashback of when his mom told him that she was always so worried about him because heroes put themselves in danger all the time.
Deku asks Katsuma, "What kind of hero do you want to be, Katsuma?" He then explains why he himself wants to be a hero. Bakugou stands at the veranda and listens the whole time, and when they're done talking, Bakugou realizes his ice cream melted away.
The neighbor sees Katsuma leave Deku & comes to him to explain that Katsuma and Maholo live alone with their father on the island. Their mother passed away when they were very young, and Maholo is very protective of her brother since Dad's always working
Suddenly, at the harbor, a boat rams into the pier at full speed. The boat topples over, and Nine, Chimera, Mummy, and Slice emerge on the top of the boat. Nine instructs them to do whatever they need to do in order to find the two kids.
Maholo and Katsuma are returning to their house when Nine appears out of nowhere and literally OBLITERATES their house by striking lightning out of thin air to destroy the home. Maholo then tries to call the Hero Agency to ask for help.
As she calls the Hero Agency, the phone line gets cut off. The Class A members then check their phones and sees that even their cellphone reception is down. We then see that Chimera destroyed the island's telephone and communication tower.
At the harbor, Mineta, Hagakure, and Aoyama just finished helping a couple out with a missing bag. Mineta scoffs to the side saying that Ashido tricked him into coming because the girl was actually taken. Suddenly, they see villains coming up the road.
The villain Mummy uses his bindings and turns anything, even inanimate objects into moving zombies. Aoyama uses his beam to blast away at Mummy's weird zombies, but he just keeps making more.
At the beach, Tsuyu is trying to evacuate all the beach goers as Chimera approaches dauntingly. Ojiro takes the initiative and attacks chimera. He tells Tokoyami to go back to the Hero Agency to ask for help since everyone's cellphones aren't working.
Tokoyami makes it back to the Hero Agency, and he says villains are near the harbor and beach. They need back-up. Iida dispatches everyone. Teams are
Bakugou, Kirishima, & Kaminari
Yaoyorozu, Jirou, & Ashido
Koda & Ochako
Iida, Todoroki, Sero, & Tokoyami
Aoyama is at his limit as he continues to fight Mummy, but thankfully, Bakugou blasts an explosion aimed towards Mummy to throw him off. Behind Bakugou, Kirishima comes rushing in and says "RED RIOT IS HERE!" Kaminari releases electricity too.
Ashido comes to Aoyama's aid and helps him up. She, Jirou, and Yaoyorozu bring the others to safety as well as direct the citizens to the safehold.
Mummy continues to attack Bakugou, Kirishima, and Kaminari. Mummy finds an opening and tries to hit Bakugou, but Kirishima jumps in front of him and deflects the attack but gets caught himself. Bakugou then gets bounded, and Kirishima yells "Bakugou!"
Ojiro continues to fight Chimera at the beach and pulls some pretty cool moves on him. Good thing back up comes from Todoroki rushing in with Iida as well as Tokoyami having Dark Shadow drop him and Satou onto Chimera.
As Satou drops in and tries using his Sugar Rush attack move on Chimera, there is a BEAUTIFUL shot of him and Chimera fist to fist fighting against the sunset mid-air. It was such a dynamic shot. Totally not necessary but beautiful to see lol.
Back at Katsuma and Maholo's destroyed house (I realized that Nine destroys the house after, not before the beach fights). Nine can glance at a person and know what their stats, and he figures out that Katsuma is the one with the cell regeneration quirk.
Nine tells Katsuma and Maholo that he will not kill them, but that they should follow him because he needs something from them. Deku then comes to the rescue though and rushes them through the forest.
Nine then slowly walks to Deku and says, "get out of the way. If you're in my way, I will kill you." Deku then uses full cowl, but Nine is able to block him with a barrier. Nine also shoots energy from his fingers, and Deku thinks that he's like AFO.
Back at the battle with Mummy, Bakugou is completely controlled by Mummy, but he is trying to resist. Mummy is making Bakugou attack Kirishima and Kaminari against his will, and Kirishima tries to desperately call out to Bakugou.
Mummy then wraps both Kirishima and Kaminari, and Kaminari says, "Kirishima, what should we do!?" Mummy then says to them that they either surrender or watch as Bakugou kills them. As he says this, Bakugou's red eye shines, and he creates a huge explosion.
Bakugou is able to blast away the bindings and he completely OBLITERATES Mummy as he pins him against a wall and maniacally uses an explosion that is directed right at Mummy's face. Mummy passes out, and afterwards, they regroup with the others.
Kirishima and Kaminari stay with the rest, but Bakugou blasts off. Jirou asks where he's going, and Bakugou says he needs to fight the other villains on the island.
Next scene is Chimera fighting Todoroki, but Chimera is just too strong. Sero uses his tape to wrap around Todoroki as he saves him from Chimera's blow. Chimera can also breathe fire, and the guys find themselves outmatched by him.
Deku continues to fight Nine and uses Delaware Smash, but Nine uses a barrier to deflect his attack. Deku wonders to himself just how many quirks does Nine even have!? He then tries to use One For All 20% Full Cowl. Nine muses that Deku has a great power.
Nine then grabs Deku's head and tries to steal the quirk from him. Deku then thinks to himself that if Nine can steal quirks, that's exactly like AFO. Suddenly, an image of the OFA vestiges appears including the silhouettes. They appear in line like this:
Tumblr media
The OFA users prevent OFA from being stolen. Deku then realizes that the kids are still here, even though he told them to run -_-;; Nine then shoots Deku with his quirk and heavily injures him. The kids are too scared to move.
As Nine approaches Deku, who's badly injured, he's about to deliver a finishing blow but Bakugou flies in to save Deku. Bakugou attacks Nine, and Deku says "Kacchan! Watch out this guy has more than one quirk and can steal quirks!"
Bakugou then says that he just has to keep fighting him then, right? However, Nine pulls out another quirk that looks like Blue Eyes White Dragon (no joke) that pins down Bakugou. Deku tells himself to try to move as Bakugou blasts an explosion to him.
Deku wills himself to move and they try to fight him, but Nine is too powerful. He pins both of them to the ground and tries to go after the kids, but Deku and Bakugou each hold one of Nine's legs to stop him.
Nine gets super annoyed at them and calls forth a HUGE blast of lightning that zaps Deku and Bakugou completely unconscious. However, since he used his quirk too much, his body freezes up, and he falls to the ground. Slice comes to help him.
Nine tells Slice to get the kids, but as she tries to approach them, Koda calls forth a huge flock of crows to block her path. Shouji then rushes in and carries the kids off while Ochako taps Deku and Bakugou, & Tsuyu carries them together with her tongue.
The kids all escape and meanwhile, Chimera also retreats from where Todoroki, Sero, and co. were fighting him at the beach. The Class A members regroup at a shelter where the rest of the island citizens are currently staying at due to the villain attack.
It's raining, and Nine is sleeping on a bed somewhere on the island, trying to recover as Slice watches over him. Chimera comes into the room and asks where's Mummy, and they realize that Mummy was captured.
There is a flashback to when Nine was without his artifical quirks. He had a very weak body, but he wanted to get stronger and saved Chimera even though everyone hated Chimera due to his appearance.
Chimera says that he is thankful that Nine saved him that day. Also, side note, Nine looked super hot when he was younger and without a mask lol.
Flashback continues to when Nine gets experimented on by Dr. Ujiko. He tells him that he can steal up to nine quirks. Flash forward and Nine wakes up and says that he has to get the cell regeneration quirk that Katsuma has to help his body.
Ochako goes into the room where other civilians are being healed by people with healing quirks. She asks how is Deku and Bakugou doing. They're both completely unconscious as the healers try to help, but they're not doctors so their efforts aren't working.
Katsuma then comes into the room and says that he can help heal Deku and Bakugou. He explains that his quirk speeds up cell regeneration and can also boost one's power. He tries his hardest to heal Deku and Bakugou, to the point where he almost passes out.
The rest of Class A are resting in a break room in the shelter and are trying to figure out what to do with the villains. Deku enters the room with Katsuma, and Ochako says "Deku!" surprised he's completely healed.
Katsuma then tells everyone that the villains are after him, so he can just give himself up to save everyone the trouble of being attacked. However, Deku says that he will never let that happen as he will protect Katsuma and the rest of the citizens.
Bakugou then walks into the room slowly, and Kirishima looks up and says "Bakugou!" while looking relieved. Bakugou heard Deku's words of wanting to protect the citizens. He glances at Deku as they both recall All Might's words "win & save, save & win."
Bakugou then does this pose and says that what they gotta do is just fight these damn villains. Everyone else agrees, and Yaoyorozu & Iida lead the others in a PLUS ULTRA! cheer. Deku then devises a plan on how to capture the villains.
The plan is to lure the villains to the furthest corner of the island where ancient castle ruins are. Koda, Satou, and Hagakure will lead the island's citizens and livestock into a cave to hide. Meanwhile, the rest of the Class A will fight the villains.
(Just random commentary, but can I just mention how hilarious it is to ask the INVISIBLE GIRL to lead the citizens into a dark cave? Like, WHAT IS LOGIC???")
The Class A members then prepare for a large battle as the sun rises. This is the epic scene here where they stand together.
As according to plan, the villains approach exactly down the path that Deku predicted. Shouji is the one in charge of guarding the children while Jirou and Ojiro are nearby as the lookout. Each Class A member is stationed in different locations.
The first attack is by Yaoyorozu and Aoyama. Yaoyorozu pulls out her twin cannons, and Aoyama uses a super powerful navel beam that holds off the villains for a while. The blast is so strong that it causes the ground beneath the villains to break.
Slice then falls down into a cave below, but Chimera and Nine are able to evade the attack and go separate ways. Ochako, Sero, and Mineta work together to barrage Nine with thousands of falling rocks. This action combination looked really cool.
Meanwhile, Slice finds herself in a cave where Tokoyami and Ashido battle her together. Chimera is at another area where he's near a waterfall. As he steps into the water to cross the river, Todoroki turns the entire waterfall and river into ice.
Tsuyu captures Chimera with her tongue and pulls him further into the river where Todoroki tries freezing him. Iida, Todoroki, Kirishima, and Tsuyu then ready themselves as Chimera struggles to get out of his icy bonds.
Nine keeps attacking Sero and Ochako, and they try over and over to stop him with the barrage of rocks flung at him. Ochako is overusing her quirk, and Sero grabs her before she falls down and uses his tape to swing to higher ground.
Ochako then goes to a huge wall of thousands of rocks and uses her Zero Gravity on all of them. She falls to the ground, exhausted, but tries to still fight. Yaoyorozu and Aoyama also fight Nine as they throw attacks at him.
Deku and Bakugou then join Aoyama, Yaoyorozu, Sero, Mineta, and Ochako in the fight against Nine. Bakugou is in the air as Deku jumps high up and grabs his hand while Bakugou spins Deku, and the momentum helps them deal a super cool combo move together.
Meanwhile in the cave, Slice continues to fight Tokoyami, but suddenly she feels the cave stalactites falling as she realizes Ashido is using her acid to loosen the spikes on the ceiling. Ashido then unleashes a bunch of acid and burns off Slice's hair.
With her hair now short, Slice is still able to use them as small spears that she unleashes at Ashido all at once. Ashido is able to evade most of them, but three spears stab her thigh and causes her to fall down side of the cave.
Tokoyami yells, "ASHIDO!" as she plummets to the bottom of the cave. He approaches her and sees that she's very badly injured and bleeding, and his eyes go crazy as he loses it and Dark Shadow explodes out of him. He turns to Slice and says, "YOU BASTARD!"
Deku and Bakugou continue to fight Nine, and Nine keeps using his various quirks to hold them off. The scene then cuts to Iida fighting Chimera. He kicks Chimera, then Kirishima follows up with Red Gauntlet. Their attacks look weak, and Chimera laughs.
However suddenly, Chimera freezes up and Todoroki slowly approaches him as he explains that Kirishima and Iida were only distracting Chimera as they put Tsuyu's poison on his body, effectively stopping his body from moving.
Chimera says not to underestimate him, and he evolves into a crazy animal fusion. Kirishima says, "Woah what is he, Amajiki-senpai!?" Chimera then blasts energy all around him from his mouth, and Tsuyu uses her tongue to wrap around Kirishima to save him.
Iida then grabs Todoroki to push him out of the way from Chimera's energy beam. We then cut to a scene of Shouji protecting the kids as Nine continues to fight Deku and Bakugou but effectively advances towards the kids. Nine destroys Bakugou's gauntlet.
Sero tries to help and attack Nine, but Nine easily throws him aside. Bakugou shouts, "SERO!!" as he falls to the ground. Nine then throws Ochako into the air as well, and Deku quickly rushes into the air and catches her, holding her in his arms.
As he holds Ochako, she murmurs まだ....まだ... "not yet...I can still do more..." but then passes out. Deku then lays her gently on the ground. Nine then approaches Deku and Bakugou but freezes up as his cells have some issue when he overuses his quirk.
Todoroki then devises a plan to fight Chimera. He tells everyone of the plan, and Iida springs to action, trying to distract Chimera. Todoroki then holds Kirishima by the waist as he speeds them forward towards Chimera while sliding on his ice.
As Todoroki wraps his arms around Kirishima, Kirishima says, "Heh, this kind of reminds me of Kamino." Then Todoroki tells Kirishima to harden, and Kirishima uses Unbreakable. Chimera blasts Kirishima with his energy beam, and this scene is SICKKKK!!!!!
While holding Kirishima in front of him as a shield, Todoroki tries to push forward as Kirishima withstands Chimera's energy beam. However, his energy beam causes Kirishima's sleeves to rip, but Chimera finally exhausts his beam and needs to recharge.
As Chimera pauses for a moment, Kirishima falls to the ground, but Todoroki then gets close enough to lunge himself on top of Chimera as he sticks his hand down his throat and gruesomely freezes Chimera's entire body inside out with ice.
Todoroki then also passes out and his thoughts before he loses consciousness is "Midoriya...Bakugou...it's up to you guys now." Chimera, along with Todoroki, Kirishima, Tsuyu, and Iida, are all defeated.
Shouji continues to protect the kids even though nine is advancing towards them still. Meanwhile, Hawks visits the children's father in the hospital. The Dad explains to him that his son has the similar quirk to him.
The difference between Katsuma's cell regeneration quirk and his Dad's quirk is that his Dad's quirk can only help people with Blood Type A. However, Katsuma's quirk can help other blood types too. Hawks then realizes that the villains are at the island.
Hawks calls the other Pro-Heroes and tells them that they need to head to Nabu Island right away as the people there are all in danger, including Class A. He flies to the island first.
Note that it takes around 1 hour for a jet plane to fly from Kyushu to Okinawa (where this Nabu Island is supposedly located), so Hawks flying there is quite a feat lol.
Ojiro and Jirou tell Shouji to project the kids as they go forth and fight Nine. However, Nine is weakened by the constant attacks from Deku, Bakugou, and the earlier ones from the other Class A members.
Shouji holds the kids close to him as he blocks them from Nine's attacks. He takes on all of Nine's attacks and is heavily injured, and he tells the kids to run away.
However, Nine is able to catch Maholo before they can escape, and he tells Katsuma "If you value your sister's life, then come with me." Katsuma is about to give himself up but Deku comes to the rescue and uses SMASH against Nine.
Nine tosses Maholo to the side, but Bakugou is able to capture her before she falls the ground. Bakugou then tells her, "See I told you, I'm going to be the Number 1 Hero. That's why I'm strong!" He puts her down, and proceeds to fight Nine along with Deku.
Deku and Bakugou look like they are getting the upper hand as they throw explosion after smash attacks at Nine. However, Nine uses the purple fluid he carries on his back and makes himself super powered and indestructible. He then creates fire pillars.
He brings down lightning from the sky, and Deku tries using OFA 100% against him. Deku uses a Detroit Smash and Bakugou uses Howitzer Impact against Nine. They hold their attacks as long as they can, and this causes their costumes to get tattered.
Shouji, even in his beaten state, still manages to hold onto the kids to protect them. Bakugou and Deku then look up at Nine as their attacks were rendered useless against him.
Nine then goes onto a short cliche villain monologue about wanting to create a perfect society where only those with powerful quirks live in and those who are weak are eliminated. Deku and Bakugou look at him in disbelief.
Nine uses his blue eyes white dragon move and captures both Deku and Bakugou in its grasp. All hope looks like it's lost, but Maholo and Katsuma cry out to them saying, "Big Brother Deku! Bakugou!!! Don't give up!!!!!!"
Deku then tells Bakugou that in order to continue this fight, there's only one thing they can do. Bakugou makes this face as he hears Deku say this as he knows that in order to fight, he needs to have One For All. He looks regretful with this decision.
Deku and Bakugou both recall All Might's words to them about being heroes who can save and win, win and save. Deku reaches his bloody finger out to Bakugou, and Bakugou extends his finger as well. They miss at first, but they finally make contact.
They touch fingers for a few seconds as OFA is transferred into Bakugou, then they grasp hands firmly like this stock image. The OFA transfer is now complete as Deku wills it to be.
Bakugou asks Deku if he is even still capable of using OFA, and Deku explains that during All Might's fight against All For One, he still was able to use OFA as he was holding onto the flickering embers of the quirk.
Bakugou asks Deku if this is okay, and Deku says it's the only way. They then power themselves up using OFA, and they legit look like Goku and Vegeta as Super Saiyan, even with their hair standing up like this. Bakugou has orange energy, Deku with green.
Might+ U starts playing in this scene where Deku and Bakugou throw punch and explosion one after another at Nine. There is no sound effects or speech during this entire montage as the only music playing is Might+u.
The visuals of this scene are INSANE. Like holy shit the SAKUGA!!!!!! IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!!! There was this one scene where Super Saiyan Bakugou walks into the side of a mountain and completely melts the ENTIRE MOUNTAIN and throws it at Nine.
As they attack Nine, there is a flashback of when they are children, and Bakugou stands in front of a T.V. and says wow how cool is All Might?? There is also a flashback of Deku as a kid crying in front of his computer screen saying to his Mom AM is so cool
Both of them admire All Might, and the final few attacks are Deku and Bakugou perfectly mirroring each other, doing attacks in sync. They then prepare their finishing blow and do DETROIT SMASH into the air, clearing away the powerful storm to blue skies.
But wait! That wasn't the last move! The fight actually continues in silence with Might+u still playing in the background. Deku has a line over the montage that says "This, this is what One For All is capable of."
Bakugou prepares his final explosion and Deku prepares a finishing kick to Nine, and as they unleash their powerful attacks, Deku says "Thank you and goodbye, One For All" as he passes out, which is this scene in the trailer.
Before passing out and during the part where Deku recalls what One For All means, what One For All is capable of, there is a montage of all of Class A passed out from their own respective fights.
I missed a scene with Tokoyami and Ashido. As Dark Shadow goes crazy, he captures Slice but also causes the cave to fall down on them. Tokoyami shields Ashido with his body, and after Deku & Bakugou's fight, we see Hawks pulling Tokoyami from the rubble.
Hawks asks Tokoyami if he's alive, and Tokoyami says, "Hawks, why are you here??" Hawks then says that he's not the only one who's here as help has arrived.
We then see All Might kneeling next to Deku & Bakugou, who are lying on the ground passed out. All Might cradles Deku in his arms and says he did well. Deku asks if Bakugou is okay. All Might says "Always putting others in front of yourself, yes he's fine."
Deku then starts crying as he apologizes to All Might as he gave away such a great power entrusted with him by All Might. This is the scene where he says "I'm sorry, All Might. I'm sorry..."
All Might says Deku is brave and deserving of OFA, and then miraculously, Deku's body glows with the power of OFA coursing through his veins once more. All Might says it's a miracle, but perhaps the Predecessors willed it for Deku to hold this power.
All Might then thanks his master Nana as well as the predecessors for returning OFA back to Deku. He then holds Deku hand with one hand and in the other, holds Bakugou's hand as he cries.
The ending scene shows everyone being helped out by the Pro-Heroes. I originally thought that the scene took place in an infirmary, but it was actually on site where everyone was passed out.
Although the scene is also silent, we see Endeavor hugging Todoroki tightly as he cries comedically while he says "SHOUTOOOO!!!!!!" there is also a scene of Kaminari and Sero doing a fist bump as they are being held up by the pro-heroes.
Ashido is being helped out on a stretcher, Tokoyami watches over her closely as she smiles at him, Ryukyu helps Tsuyu and Ochako, and the other students are escorted by the pro-heroes.
Hawks watches as Chimera and Slice are put into custody. He then wonders what Shigaraki has planned. We then see Nine was blasted away to an island surrounded by flowers. Shigaraki appears in front of him, and Nine says he needs more time.
Nine reaches out saying that he hasn't perfected the society yet, and there needs to be someone who can guide everyone. Shigaraki puts his hand on Nine's face and says, "Yes, someone. That someone is me. Good work and goodnight Nine." He disintegrates him.
The next scene is Bakugou waking up in the infirmary next to Recovery Girl. Deku narrates that Bakugou for some reason had no recollection of ever using OFA (how convenient lol), and Bakugou complains that his arms hurt like hell.
Katsuma accidentally sees Recovery Girl kissing Bakugou, and she blushes in embarrassment LOL. Deku tells Katsuma that he will be a great hero. The kids then are reunited with their father and are very happy to see him.
Class A board the boat as they are ready to go home, and Bakugou is at the top of the stern. He sees Deku and asks him if it's okay to leave without saying bye to the kids. Deku says it's fine. However, they then see the kids running to the pier.
The kids wave to Class A and say "Big Brother Deku, Bakugou, Everyone!!! Thank you so much!!" and Class A waves back at them. Katsuma then waves to Deku and says "Big Brother Deku! I'll be a hero just like you!" and Deku says U.A. is waiting for him!
Deku then waves back at Katsuma and Maholo and Bakugou puts his hand up and sort of waves. The last scene is Katsuma's smiling face as he looks on with hope, inspired by the heroes who helped change his life.
THE END!!!!!!

If There’s Light There’s Hope | 6
Bakugou x Fem!Reader (BNHA)
Summary: U.A. High School was your dream. You wanted to save people. You never expected how wild your journey would be and you certainly never expected a hot headed boy to play as large of a role as he would. Warnings: Swearing. Spoilers: If you haven’t watched the School Festival episodes thru the end of S4 because they’re not dubbed yet and want to avoid spoilers (+ you haven’t read the manga), then you’ll want to not read this chapter. “A school festival! I hope one of the classes hosts a couples event,” you mused out loud during the girl’s only study group.
“I never expected you to be such a romantic,” Jirou commented, a few of the other girls echoing their agreement.
Smiling at them, you simply shrugged. “Never had a boyfriend before. All of these thoughts and feelings are new to me.”
Ashido perked up as her alarm went off. “Sorry girls, time for dance practice.”
She and a few of the other girls headed off to meet with the rest of the dance team. You’d been stuck with Aizawa and the rest of the interns making up work you missed while the rest of the class decided what you were doing for the festival. You didn’t mind your role doing special effects; it would be perfect to showcase your quirk.
Soon enough it was band practice and you were left alone. Thanks to you and Todoroki, the special effects team had their plan solidified a while ago so you didn’t have to meet very often. Putting your things away in your room, you headed back downstairs to make dinner and prepare snacks while everyone worked hard on their routines. Just two more days.
When you were hanging out the other week, Hitoshi had tried to get you to sign up for the beauty pageant. That caused quite the heated argument between the two of you, especially when he teased you about using his quirk to get you to sign up. When you brought the pageant up in passing with Bakugou, even he paused before acting nonchalant and yelling about how if you wanted to sign up it was up to you. You called Hitoshi immediately and told him you’d sign up so long as he helped you.
“Look Hito, you brought up participating in the first place. It’s only right you take responsibility for your part in this.”
The two of you spent forever deciding on clothing choices and what talent you were going to demonstrate. You recalled most of a dance routine from when you were in the dance club in junior high and you were positive you could make it work for one person. If that failed, you could maybe perform Ikebana (flower arranging), but that could be pretty boring to watch. Hitoshi asked for his mom’s help which she was more than excited to take you shopping for an outfit. Looking at Kenranzaki’s outfits from previous years, you settled on a colorful kimono that complimented you.
Soon enough the day of the festival arrived. At 9AM, you changed into a short robe with a pair of shorts and spent 45 minutes taking your time with your skincare regimen, having Hitoshi help you with your hair. He was awkward, but it warmed you how hard he tried. Running through the day’s schedule in your head, you’d have a little while longer after 1-A’s performance to get dressed and zen out to calm your nerves.
It was easy to ignore Kendo and Nejire’s friendly teasing of who would win, but it was almost impossible to keep your headspace clear as Kenranzaki cackled about how she was the sure winner. Kendo and Nejire’s moods seem to change and you decided it was time to go before the their energy could throw you off. Carefully tying a scarf to protect Hitoshi’s hard work on your hair, you and Hitoshi went your separate ways, agreeing to meet up later, before you joined the rest of 1-A in the gym; Midoriya a few minutes behind you. When no one was looking, you pressed a small kiss below Bakugou’s ear.
“You’re going to be great.”
Before he could pull you back, you had Uraraka use her quirk to quickly get you up to the rafters. You made sure to settle into a spot where you could clearly watch the performance and still do your part. The chanting and cheers of the students sent vibrations throughout the room and you could feel it.
At 10:00 the curtains opened and your eyes lit up. They were incredible!
On Todoroki’s queue, your hands extended to the stage and slowly began to glow brighter and brighter for the finale. As they struck their final notes you released sparks, careful so that they weren’t dangerous. The cheers of the student body sent a surge of motivation through you and to your heart. It was then you realized how capable everyone was, especially when you worked together.
Meeting Bakugo backstage, you pressed a kiss to his cheek as he held you tightly to his side. “That was incredible! Did you mean to create an explosion during the opening?”
The way his eyes seem to avoid yours and that faint blues told you that was improvised. “C’mon let’s get lunch before your pageant.”
“But we’ve got to clean up.”
“It’s okay (Y/N). We agreed that you should go ahead and get ready for the beauty pageant,” Iida spoke up. “The rest of class can handle this and we’ll be there to support you, but Bakugou, you have to stay and help! Don’t think you can use (Y/N) to get out of cleaning!”
As Bakugou fumed, your eyes lit up as you laughed. “Thanks, class rep!”
You made it back to the dressing room, meeting with Hitoshi who had gotten you some snacks to eat. Carefully getting dressed, you added hair pieces and jewelry to your look along with some light make up. You went on just before Nejire, which was a bit nerve-racking as she was also doing a dance. All you could do was try your best. Spotting your classmates and Bakugou at the front of the crowd cheering for you ensured you didn’t lose your smile during your performance.
Though most of the girls changed back into their school uniforms, you decided Hitoshi’s hard word deserved some more attention so you stayed in your pageant outfit. It wasn’t like you were planning on participating in any of the sport activities. You took photos with Todoroki, cheered Bakugou on while he competed in the obstacle course, shared a crepe with him because he won, and enjoyed 1-C’s haunted house - Hitoshi definitely giving you a good scare.
At the end of the day your class gave you tight hugs as you came in third place. Monoma definitely gave you an earful for beating Kendo, who simply shook your hand in the spirit of friendly competition. Bakugou held your hand tightly, loudly proclaiming that you were still his number one and anyone who disagreed could fight him. The two of you went off to do couples experiences during the rest of the festival, though you were sure a few of your classmates weren’t that far behind.
“You look nice,” he muttered once the two of you entered The Lovers’ Maze, the brain child of Class 1-E.
“Oh, thanks.” Part of you was disappointed and it was clear in your voice; if he was going to compliment you, you were hoping he’d put more effort into it. He should have kept quiet and ended on a high note when he yelled that you were his number one.
It was dark and difficult to see each other’s expressions. The only light was up ahead, leading the two of you on where to go. The light suddenly went out and he squeezed your hand in reassurance before cute, glowing pink hearts appeared, providing a gentle light so you could see each other.
“Are you... blushing?” you asked him, surprised.
He avoided your gaze. “So what if I am?”
“But, why?” you asked teasingly, leaning forward to try and get him to look you in the eye.
He growled to himself before grasping both of your shoulders firmly, locking eyes with you. “Any idiot who looks at you and doesn’t turn a little red doesn’t deserve to look at you! You’re beautiful, got it?”
Your face lit up like a red light on a traffic stop, unsure of what to say, “Katsuki...”
“I’m not really... good... at compliments... and stuff,” he mumbled, clear enough for you to understand. “So try not to get your feelings hurt if I don’t know what to say the first time. I’ll get it right at some point.”
A smile tugged at your lips. “Okay, I’ll be patient.”

The Japanese Hero Billboard Chart was one of the most talked about events after the school festival on campus. You’d be a liar if you said you weren’t excited about it as well. It was the best event to happen twice a year! There was just something wonderful about seeing your favorite heroes getting recognized. You tried more than once to convince Todoroki to get Endeavor to take the two of you, but he refused. You spent the last week being pouty and curled up to Bakugou’s side.
It wasn’t until the Wild Wild Pussycats came to visit with some cute Paw Pad Buns that you finally expressed any mood other than being bratty. You helped Sato prepare some tea for the Pros. It was great to hear they were back in business again.
The day of the the Japanese Hero Billboard Chart event, you seemed to be glued to the television in the common area, snacks and drinks surrounding you like your own little island, or fortress, of food. This was the first time that heroes were going to actually appear on stage and you weren’t planning on missing any of it.
“Isn’t this a bit much?” Kaminari asked, trying to sneak one of your rice balls away from you.
“First of all, Kaminari, you could ask me for a snack first! Second, I love seeing the rankings live! It’s exhilarating to see just how well the heroes have done between polls!” You paused at hearing Edgeshot’s ranking and cheered, attracting more attention from your classmates than you’d meant to.
“(Y/N) maybe... you should back up from the television. Your eyes will go bad from sitting close.” You sent a sharp look Iida’s way and he quickly backtracked, apologizing for disturbing you.
No one had the heart to tell you to quiet down, even Iida didn’t want to yell at you for being loud. It was a rare sight to see you energized or excited about anything. Your eyes lit up as Hawks was announced as number two, which only reaffirmed it: Endeavor was number one! You couldn’t wait for internships to start up again. Though he wasn’t the softest person out there, you learned so much from Endeavor and appreciated his strictness; especially since you were quite serious about your own future as a Pro. His entrance was certainly the coolest and his new armor pieces looked very cool, making him seem more menacing than usual.
Their speeches had your full attention, not even Bakugou annoyingly prodding at you with a finger could tear you away as you happily snacked on popcorn. You raised your brows as Hawks stepped forward to speak. He was always a rebel in everything he did. His speech had your jaw dropping. Tokoyami really did his internship with this guy? For the first time, you peeped at your classmate in question who seemed to have a pained expression on his face; it was incredible how different the two of them could be.
Your body tensed as Endeavor received the mic. How was he going to follow up that wild speech? It was certainly short and direct.
Just watch me.
Scrambling for your phone, you quickly sent a text to your mentor, telling him you thought he was quite cool for what he said. It was his work cell so you were sure he’d see it tomorrow or something. There had only been a few other sparing messages between the two of you, the last one being from when you asked if you could get permission to watch Todoroki at one of his remedial courses. During your internship, he hardly ever responded to you, preferring to address your questions briefly in person.
At the end of the program you sighed stretching from your terrible posture, before cleaning up the mess you made as you camped out in front of the television. With the fierce - and scary - Endeavor as the new Number One, villains would have to be crazy to start any trouble.
The next day, you went with Todoroki to the post office. You had sold a few little handmade items online and needed some help getting them mailed out. You’d normally annoy your boyfriend into helping you, but Bakugou was napping from his workout. Todoroki saw you struggling with your packages and said he had to mail a letter so he was happy to accompany you.
“Thanks so much Todoroki! You saved me from making two more trips,” you said, purchasing two drinks from the vending machine and offering him his favorite - something you observed from work study. The two of you sat on a bench and enjoyed your drinks.
“I think we’ve spent enough time together to be friends now. Please feel free to call me Shoto.”
Turning to look at him, you smiled. “Really? I don’t really have that many... friends that is. I mean, everyone in class is nice, but I don’t feel comfortable referring to them casually. You’d be like, one of four people total.”
“Yes. I’d like that.” He smiled faintly in return.
Finishing your drinks, you stood and offered him a hand up. “Okay, Shoto. Let’s head back.”
Returning to the dorms, you sat on the couch, turning the television on and browsing through the channels with a few of your classmates. You all decided to look for a movie to watch. An image flashed briefly on the screen and you had go back. It was the news channel and it looked like a fireball in the sky.
“Shoto! Come quick!” you called out, turning up the volume as your other classmates came over to join you. Your hands flew to your mouth, eyes wide.
Your mind seemed to blank as you watched events unfold. When it was over and that image of Endeavor appeared, still standing, you found yourself knelt beside Todoroki, your new friend, with hands on his shoulder and arm in comfort. Bakugou rested a hand on top of your head. It was silent as no one knew what to say.
Though it was a win, you had a feeling that not everyone would sleep well that night.
