#when I was in Melbourne in late 2019 an expensive hostel was $18#the cheap ones are now $60#I didn’t look at my accommodation options until just now bc I figured it’d just be the same with a little inflation#and now I’m fully considering not getting on the plane#I can’t fucking afford that???#that’s like $1.5k/month for shared rooms with 6 people#I can’t do that to my bank account#even camping is like $40/night#CAMPING IN A TENT#idk what to do genuinely
