Just going to put this WIP idea on here so I don't forget it (away from my computer/WIP folder): Feeling as though he needs to contribute more to the family income and realizing occasional shifts at Slices aren't enough, Ricky signs up to be the student manager for the water polo team, which admittedly more often than not makes him the water boy/laundry slave rather than anything of technical importance. But to his surprise, and mild annoyance, the captain of the team makes a point of being nicer to him than everyone else is, even treating him like *gasp* a real person! But Ricky's just here for the pay. It doesn't matter how nice the captain is to him, or how much everyone else mistreats him, or how good the team members look when they emerge from the water, dripping wet...I mean, Ricky is straight...isn't he?
