#I couldn't tell you why I had the idea. I think it's because the song/MV is so bratty and I love any excuse to draw Johnny being a diva lol

Perhaps a controversial (and late) opinion, but I don't like when some jikookers basically say Jimin was lying when he said Letter was for fans. It's one thing to believe the song is for fans AND someone else, but to say is not for fans at all and Jimin was lying? That's exactly what taekookers do. How are we going to complain about taekookers calling Jungkook and Taehyung liars and then do the same with Jimin. These jikookers try to phrase it as nicely as they can, say that is not Jimin's fault he lied straight to fans faces multiple times making fans believe this is was a song he wrote for them, it's okay because he was forced to do it. But 1) that's literally exactly what taekookers always say and 2) that makes no sense. I understand that Jimin obviously couldn't say the song was for Jungkook, but he didn't have to lie and say it was for armys, he could've just said nothing. Which would have been specially easy to do since this is a hidden song. No one was gonna corner Jimin and force him to say who the song was about. Nothing bad would've happened had Jimin said nothing about Letter. Just like nothing bad has happened now that he hasn't said anything about the multiple very romantic songs in Muse (Who excluded since he talked about it a bit). Seriously, Jimin loves doing things and then providing zero explanation for those things (like the oddly familiar face in the billboard in the Who MV, cause I'm telling you, he's never gonna explain that and we're just going to have to be curious for the rest of our lives). But what he doesn't love doing is lying to fans.
Look, I get it, I also loved when I first listened to Letter and heard Jungkook's voice. I understand that the idea this is a song exclusively about Jungkook is very sweet, but the moment Jimin said the song is about fans is the moment I let go of that idea. The same way that when it turns out we were wrong about something (which inevitably happens to every fandom and we are no exception) I let go of that something, but some people refuse to do it and will keep saying that something is true even when there's proof it's not. I understand getting attached to certain moments or ideas, but what I'm not gonna do is hold on to things that aren't true just because I want them to be true. And what I'm DEFINITELY not gonna do is call Jimin a liar. Again, they can phrase it as nicely as they want but they're still calling Jimin a liar not matter how the put it.
I thought we were supposed to be different, that we were supposed to believe what Jimin and Jungkook say and not try to twist their words or claim those words are lies. And we don't even need to do that, Jikook remains jikook with or without Letter. And this isn't even about thinking Letter could also be about Jungkook, it's about saying it's ONLY about him and not about fans at all. Because Jimin has said multiple times it is about fans (the song is literally called Dear. ARMY) so to say it's not is to say he lied.
I hate to say this, but some jikookers put shipping above respecting Jimin's and Jungkook's words whenever those words aren't what they want to hear.
Hi anon,
Sorry I am only getting to this ask now. I agree with you as I also don’t like it when some shippers call the boys liars either. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think any of the members are saints who just cannot tell a single lie. I believe that they lie and probably do it a lot to protect their privacy and the things they hold sacred but what I don’t believe is that they lie for stupid reasons. The way tkkrs would look you dead in the eye and say that Tae lied when he looked surprised after finding out about the process of Jungkook’s album from suchwita or claiming that Jk lied when he said he didn’t know where Tae was when asked during his Inkigayo Live. I don’t believe they would lie about things like that because if Jk could openly admit that Tae heard “Seven” first and if Tae could go Live and tell fans that Jk sings for him then why on earth would he pretend about not knowing the process to Jungkook’s album? Makes no sense to me.
Like you said, two things can be true at the same time. Letter could be both about fans and Jungkook. These are artists who find unconventional ways to express themselves and their feelings so it shouldn’t be a surprise for anyone to find out that they express themselves through their songs. Calling Jimin a liar because he said it is a fan song is a no for me because why would a fan try to tell an artist who his song really is for? If he says it is a fan song, then it is a fan song period. There could be more to the story and we as fans could speculate but straight up calling him a liar over something like that is weird to me.
I wouldn’t expect Jimin to come out and announce that the song is for Jungkook too but like you said he could have just not said anything about it the same way he left us wondering about whose eyes they are on that TV screen in “Who” MV. He choose to say it was a fan song multiple times so that should be enough to let anyone know that he wants us to know it is a fan song regardless of whether the song is also for Jungkook or not.
I have often said that when the members tell us stuff, it is because that is what they want us to know or believe regardless of whether they are lying or not so as fans, we could speculate on so many things since we know they are not at liberty to tell us everything but what I don’t think we should be doing is disrespecting and damaging their characters in process of figuring out what kind of relationships they have with each other. We are honestly already being invasive with all this shipping talk and posts so the least we can do is respect the things they tell us even if we don’t believe those things to be true.
I am one of the people who believes that the JM on Jk’s finger could be for Jimin and he technically has never said otherwise but I would go with his explanation for the tattoos over swearing that the JM is for Jimin because I think that is the respectful thing to do. If a day comes when he feels comfortable enough to tell us that it actually is for Jimin, then I would scream my lungs out then but until then, I go with his explanation because that is what he wants me to know and believe.
Thanks for this ask anon💜

So. Cat came out, I feel like Kazui ALSO wants to come out, and I need to talk about it.
(Spoilers for Cat) (Also TW: suicide mention)
First off, the style of the MV was great! Kazui going full crazy at the end was so cool. The song was a banger (as always). Now that we know he was a cop, some of his actions inside the prison make sense, like protecting the attacked prisoners, and trying to punch Es in the first trial.
My main guess now, going by enerything we have (MVs, VDs, Timelines) is that Kazui is a closeted gay man (or maybe aro/ace), and never had any real love or attraction towards his wife, only platonically at most. On the VD he says "I can't live unless I lie. That's how I was born...", and seeing as Japan has some big problems with homophobia, this really strikes off as him trying to hide this side of himself so that he can live a peaceful, "normal" life.
In that one timeline with Yuno and Mahiru, they asked about his preferences, and then after he answered Yuno said that was total bullshit. What other reason would he have to lie about his relationship preferences?
Also, "Cat", or "Neko", is a slang used by gay people in Japan to refer to bottoms or submissive gays.
The white dove represents his marriage, since he transformed his marriage ring into the dove (right before doing an "I Love You" reference). That scene of him eating the bird can be interpreted as him finally telling the truth to his wife, who he really is, and suggesting a break or a divorce, ruining/destroying their marriage.
By what he said in the VD, Kazui didn't cheat, or at least it didn't reach that point. He also said that we didn't find out his true crime/sin, since our base assumption was cheating. He also said that she died when he stopped lying. Of course, these could be more of his lies, but assuming they aren't. The only thing that I can think of, that would make her so desperate to jump off the balcony, is that his love never existed in the first place.
So what happened, in summary, was: He married his partner in the police, Hinako, to try having a normal life and conform to society. The marriage was a lie to him, but it was real for his wife. He tried to repress that side of him, hoping it would go away, but those feelings he repressed only got stronger, until he realized he couldn't keep lying forever, and decided to ask for a divorce, coming out to his wife, before he reched the point of cheating. His wife got upset, as seeing that their relationship was a lie, that he never truly loved her like she loved him, and jumped off the balcony.
But there are still a lot of questions that weren't answered.
If he didn't cheat, WHO IS BAR GIRL?? Is she important? If she is, why didn't she appear in the new MV? Is she even REAL, or is she a fabricated memory, or an idea, or a metaphor??
Is that guy in the wedding really the bartender from half? If he is, that means he is important, somehow. Was he his childhood friend? Does Kazui have a crush on him? If so, in bar girl scene, was Kazui actually flirting with the bartender before she arrived? Is he the same man he was arguing with in that scene from half?
For now I'm planning to forgive him, but is that really the best choice? It appears that, when we forgave him in T1, nothing really happened, because we actually forgave his persona, the lies about himself, instead of his actual true self. If he wants us to expose his lies, maybe an unforgiving veredict would be what he wants?
But also, if he is unforgiven, he won't be able to help defend other prisoners from attacks. We need to be careful when voting, as Milgram is starting to look like a strategy game where the goal is keeping all of them alive.
Anyways, going to listen to Cat for like. 3 days straight. Or 3 days gay, if that fits the theme better.
#milgram#kazui mukuhara#mukuhara kazui#milgram theory#HE IS SLAYED SO HARD#def one of the top 3 songs from T2#kazui simply flying off the charts in my character tierlist#i still think there are a lot of lies that we didn't uncover#and i'm kind of worried it will be too late when we uncover them#i have a feeling T3 is going to be brutal#i don't want my blorbos to die 😭😭#qrevo.txt

Ok, let's talk about Demian.
Buckle up because this is going to be a long one.
While I was watching Taemin's Guilty MV, I noticed these "in between" spaces. I kept thinking, "that's happening in his head" but I couldn't really put my finger on why I felt that way, except that these were surreal spaces. After the director of Guilty confirmed that the MV was inspired solely on Demian, I started digging.
A quick google search brings you to a really telling summary of the novel:
Emil Sinclair is a young boy raised in a middle class home, amidst what is described as a Scheinwelt, a play on words meaning "world of light" as well as "world of illusion," so his entire existence can be summarised as a struggle between two worlds: the show world of illusion (related to the Hindu concept of maya) and the real world, the world of spiritual truth (see Plato's cave and dualism). Accompanied and prompted by his mysterious classmate and friend 'Max Demian', he detaches from and revolts against the superficial ideals of the world of appearances and eventually awakens into a realization of self.
If you gasped when you read, Plato's cave, don't worry I did too. Taemin's song Idea was inspired by Plato's allegory of the cave. Not surprisingly, we see Taemin diving into these themes even more.
What struck me was the concept of struggling "between worlds." That's exactly what Teamin's doing.
One of the main themes of Demian is the idea of embracing our inner world, or our will. Embracing this world means to discard what we consider to be "moral," uninhibited by that inner critic that was crafted by those around us. We see this in a quick quote said by Demian himself to the main character, Sinclair:
"You knew all along that your sanctioned world was only half the world and you tried to suppress the second half the way the priests and teachers do. You won't succeed. No one succeeds in this once he has begun to think."
We see Taemin struggle between these two worlds, as if he has no control over which one he ends up in. He clings to material, to the real world at the beginning. Grasping on to the clothes of those around him, their ideas of morality.

Later, we see him struggle in the inner world of doors, opening up to his inner desires.

These flashes into the inner world start to bleed even to the real world, the world of forms.

We see him struggle with other's pulling him around, as if they are imbuing their ideas of morality onto him. We know this is in his inner world, coming forth into the real world, because in the next shot, he's alone.

He desperately wants to embrace his inner world, the way Sinclair wants to do so because of Demian's mentorship.
"Suddenly, a new image had risen up before me, a lofty and cherished image. And no need, no urge was as deep or as fervent within me as the craving to worship and admire."
He wants to embrace his creativity, his inner world, his desires and will. he wants to reform himself. Much like how Taemin himself talks about being the best him that he can be, embracing the things he refused to in the past like his androgyny, being himself creatively without worrying over trends and what he felt he "should" be. That ideal 20 year old Teamin was an illusion, and his inner desire to be the Taemin that he is inside has became the real world to him. That is because he embraced those parts of him. Ideas of morality, good and evil, given to him by others was thrown to the wayside in favor of his own ideas of good and evil. (Reminds me of Advice, but I don't know how much that influenced this cb.)
Taemin looks back into the past quite a few times, examining these memories of the real world in almost detachment from them.

He's doing the work to look back at these moments of morality and decide to let them go in favor of his own ideas, his own will. And he finally embraces that. The narration of Demian is done by adult Sinclair after the events in the book. Taemin is an adult looking back as well. But it is interesting to note that the story is told by the unreliable narrator. Even in Taemin's look into the past, the images are still surreal, warped by dancers and fragmented moments.
And here we see him in his inner world, embracing those parts of himself:

This is the exact same room with the bunk beds disassembled in his own mind. He deconstructs what he believes to be the truth and instead embraces his truth.
Let's talk about freedom, embracing your inner self. In the book, the sparrow hawk represents a desire to break free, to be independent. It shows up over the doorways of both Demian's and Sinclair's homes. A symbol of his desire to be free. So, it is no wonder that when he finally feels he has broken free, he adorns the feathered headdress.
It is interesting that the people around him seem to worship him. Sinclair studies Abraxas, the god that combines good and evil. Here, it is almost like by embracing all facets of himself, Taemin becomes Abraxas.
By this point, he is free to be independent. What that means for Taemin is uncertain, but it's interesting to see how that ties into the themes in Demian.
I also have another interpretation, looking at the 3/4th time signature, that is a bit shorter and is based on Lord of the Flies.
That concludes my Ted Talk LOL I really need to get back to work. I love hearing other's interpretations of this MV. It feels so open to many. This is Taemin at his best and reminds me why he is my ultimate bias.
#taemin#taemin guilty#shinee#demian#herman hesse#this was definitely a stream of consciousness look lol

The Runaway Theory - A Mahiru 2nd Trial Analysis
I want to begin with addressing the idea of Mahiru being an abuser and my issues with this perception of her. I know the stalker and mannequin theories are very popular but my issue with this characterization of her is the fact that Mahiru is a very weak person. In both voice dramas Mahiru constantly belittles herself, painting herself as a someone who isn't smart. When Kotoko hurts her to the point of being in a critical condition- she herself doesn't feel hurt and justifies what Kotoko has done to her. Even was Es was the one who voted her guilty- she seems to harbor no resentment towards him, and tells him to do his best in her voice drama.
This all very important to consider because it shows Mahiru is willing to get hurt to paint others in a positive light. So with that- what makes us think that she isn't doing the same for her boyfriend. Both songs focus so heavily on Mahiru's warm feelings for this man, but little do either songs actually characterize him. We don't know his motives, and it's only in the second song that we even know what he looks like.
Which brings me to my main thesis: Mahiru fixates so much on her feelings of love as to not focus on the fact she is settling for a shitty guy and shitty relationship.
With that I want to address what is happening in the second song. That is, what exactly is Mahiru and her boyfriend doing in the forest. I understand the "symbolism" of Mahiru leading her boyfriend to a suicide forest, but that doesn't really make sense. Mahiru doesn't want him dead, and even actively state that she wishes she could bring him back to life if he could.
So- why are they there?
This brings me to the runaway theory. As established already, Mahiru does have money. She is a college student and its said that she is living off money that her parents send her. Not to mention the fact she is seen wearing very nice clothes and able to go to a stylist.
Which brings us to the question- why is Mahiru in a state where she is looking for things like shelter and food ("Clothes Food Shelter - Love and Miss you"). In fact this phrase is repeated through her 2nd trial, emphasizing that these are things she is constantly on the lookout for. We know the forest was where Mahiru's boyfriend was killed, implying that both Mahiru and him must have consensually went together. But like we established, Mahiru isn't in poverty, nor has she commited any grave crimes that would make her have to go on the run. If she were a stalker, and that's why she needed to go on the run, then why would her boyfriend be with her since he would have had to report her to the police?
Well this brings us to an interesting conclusion. The last known entry in Mahiru's diary indicates that she was staying at her boyfriend's place. This is also where she is wearing the same outfit as in the second MV. We can assume this happened prior to her boyfriend's death in the suicide forest because she was waiting for him to come home. The following shot in the MV though implies that- he didn't come home, as Mahiru is instead sleeping on the couch, seeming from waiting for him all night. This is where we then get this shocked expression:
We know this expression couldn't be because of her boyfriend's suicide, because we know this occurred in the forest. The attached image showing Mahiru's information along with where her murder took place, depicting a forest. So if not for her boyfriend's death, what could possibly make Mahiru look like this?
-I don't really know. That's the issue with the Milgram MV's and a similar issue I noticed with Mu's MV's where they showcase the beginning and end of the prisoner's crimes, but not so much what happened in between. My guess though, is that the reason they had to become runaways had to do with Mahiru's boyfriend. Like I said, we don't know much about this guy and I think that's intentional. Mahiru is desperate to make this guy look like a victim and like a good person even if it means endangering herself. I think more than likely, that shocked look on Mahiru's face came due to the boyfriend having to come home, likely planning to go on the run after he did something, and ending up having to confess this to Mahiru. As a result of her unconditional love, Mahiru then decides to go with him.
I think one thing that's interesting in the MV that reveals about this guy's character is that while he's willing to give Mahiru cake, it's a lot less than what Mahiru is willing to give.
Mahiru is already shown to be someone who makes the most out of bad situations as shown by her more delusional perceptions throughout the video. If I had to make a guess as to why her boyfriend commited suicide, it's because he was stuck in a situation that he couldn't get out of (he was already shown with a blood stain on his chest in the MV) and one that he couldn't idealize. Mahiru on the other hand, was able to live through the awful conditions. In her first trial she fixates on the days before their relationship switched to the point where they had to become runaways.
In this case, what I think Mahiru feels guilt about is the fact that she couldn't stop her boyfriend's death. What that carousel symbolizes in that sense is their relationship. Sure, it's working and it's constantly moving, but it's stuck and place, gradually breaking down more and more, until her boyfriend is literally shown hanging from it. The carousel for Mahiru is something she uses to keep herself going, to her boyfriend it was another thing to drain him.

𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫 (𝐈𝐰𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐤𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝟑 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚)
Haruto: Are you okay, Daisuke-kun?
Daisuke: Not really.
Haruto: ..That was a stupid question. So you only have one victim?
Daisuke: That's right.
Haruto: Your answers to previous interrogation questions makes it seem like it wasn't an accident.
Daisuke: No, it wasn't an accident. It was definitely...murder.
Haruto: Hm. My working theory right now is that you killed a client that couldn't pay up. Something like that. But it doesn't really make sense because of your motive and body count.
Daisuke: What exactly did you see in my music video? My crime can't be that hard to solve.
Haruto: No concrete evidence for your murder. I don't even know who your victim is.
Daisuke: Hah.
Haruto: Help me out here.
Daisuke: If you had voted me innocent, you would have been able to know who my victim is.
Haruto: Seriously? You were the one who wanted to be voted guilty.
Daisuke: I changed my mind. Too bad you can't.
Haruto: *Grumbles* This can't be the consequences of my actions. Well, what was your motive then?
Daisuke: Boss' orders.
Haruto: Like, assassination?
Daisuke: Something like that.
Haruto: Shit. You don't usually do things like that, right?
Daisuke: Nope, I'm just a humble drug dealer. I didn't even receive training for it.
Haruto: Then why did they send you?
Daisuke: Because he wouldn't try and run if it was me.
Haruto: Who's your victim again?
Daisuke: I'm sure my music video will reveal who it is this time.
Haruto: Okay... Can you tell me more about him?
Daisuke: He was a traitor to the mafia.
Haruto: Oh. You guys were close?
Daisuke: He took an overseas mission and disappeared. Took some money from us too, but at least he finished the job.
Haruto: That's not what I asked.
Daisuke: I thought we were. But it turns out I didn't know him at all.
Haruto: I think I have an idea on who your victim is now.
Daisuke: Heh. Good for you. Not that you care as long as you can do your job, right? I thought the same way too. That after I got through my mission, everything would be okay.
Haruto: Wasn't it?
Daisuke: Of course not.
Haruto: Why not?
Daisuke: BECAUSE I KILLED HIM AND I'VE NEVER KILLED ANYONE BEFORE THAT!
Haruto: Sure, people often struggle with psychological trauma after taking a life. But I suspect your current stress is because of who your victim is instead of the act of murdering itself.
Daisuke: What is your problem? *Hysterical laugh* Are you a psychopath or something?
Haruto: Ah, don't be like that. I'm just trying to find out the truth.
[Bell rings, mechanical sounds in the back.]
Daisuke: Ahaha... Hahahaha! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Haruto: Prisoner 003, use your voice for something more productive and sing your sins!
[MV description - BANG BANG]
The song features more guitar and drumming compared to Daisuke's previous songs. Two dramatic beats mark the transition in between lyrics. The sounds are more akin to gunshots than drumming.
"So here's the situation. You know I'm more of a negotiator, I didn't want it to come to this."
The MV starts with Daisuke picking the lock to the front door of an apartment. The camera cuts to Ryuto walking up to the same door and unlocking it. He opens the door and steps into the apartment. Daisuke sneaks up behind him, gun to his back. A closeup of Ryuto's face, lidded eyes turned downward, expression impassive.
"The hole within me that I thought was filled. Turns out it was just forgotten for a while. But aren't the two basically the same? You were a good fix, my favourite drug."
A catchy bass beat becomes the focus of the song. Daisuke and Ryuto are in what looks like a club. Ryuto looks around with a slight furrow in his brow, uncomfortable, out of place. Daisuke laughs, dragging him onto the dance floor, trying to get him to dance. The crowd around them jumps and sways. Flashing lights. Glinting jewelry. Their hands, still intertwined. A frame of them dancing side by side. It glitches in split seconds, neon green background and chains around their necks.
"With a bang, bang! I've found you. Since I'm already here, how about I catch you up to speed? You have no idea what you missed."
A phone rings and Daisuke picks it up, putting it to his ear. His eyes widen, head jerking back in surprise. The woman from Catching up hits a man standing by her table in a fit of rage. Daisuke sits on the red leather couch not too far, looking sorrowfully on the ground. Yuta in prison garbs. The back of Ryuto's head, walking away.
"Admit it. You knew this would happen. A life of serenity doesn't exist for trash like us. Look who's the idiot, idiot, for trying to run."
"If you're going to kill me, get it over with already." Sitting almost relaxed, Ryuto doesn't look impressed.
Daisuke's face scrunches a little, eyebrows furrowing. He grits his teeth. Gun under the table. He pulls the trigger.
"With a bang, bang! I've found you. Did you think I wouldn't do it? I'm just following orders here. There's no one to blame but yourself~"
The woman picks up a photo of Ryuto on the streets. She frowns. Daisuke walks up to her, eyes glowing a neon orange. She stares at him for a moment, then reaches into a drawer underneath her desk and hands him a gun. He takes the photo and leaves the room.
"The hole within me that I thought was filled. Turns out it was just forgotten for a while. I think I would have gone with you if you had asked. But the thought of you not wanting me hurts a lot."
Daisuke grins maniacally, jumping out of his seat to grab Ryuto's collar, leaning in close. The bleeding wound in Ryuto's gut, soaking through his shirt. A closeup of Daisuke's face as he laughs and laughs. The scene rewinds a few seconds. He's crying this time, distraught. A tear lands on Ryuto's face. He stares up at Daisuke as if in a daze.
"Admit it. You knew this would happen. There was no escaping. Consequences upon consequences. Look who's the idiot, idiot, for lying to himself."
Ryuto reaches up with a bloody hand to cup Daisuke's cheek, pulling his face closer. The screen glitches. End.

[TRANSLATION] Praew Magazine April 2019 issue x JUS2: time for 2
Ahgase! Right here!
Thailand's summer heat wouldn't be able to compete with hotness from the duo brothers, "JB & Yugyeom of GOT7. In the newfound unit, JUS2, they released a new single- "FoCus On Me- that makes the fans scream with interest to add this new single to their collection. In this issue, Praew took a flight to South Korea to collect photos of these 2 hotties for you before we took the chance to have a chat with them. Chatting with them in South Korea is really something. JB took the seat at the head of the table, followed by Yugyeom who greeted Praew staff around the table in Thai style with Wai and the word "Sawaddee Krub"

First of all, we would like to ask you how the leader of GOT7 and the youngest brother of the group form this new unit (a special Korean song project created by specific members), JUS2, together.
“In concerts, the two of us often sing together. So, we often talk about which kind of unit we would form next. In parties after concerts, the higher-ups would often talk about this idea as well and they thought having the two of us work together on a new song would be fun. So, the idea was developed from that point and became this duo unit today." JB replied.
"We also share similar favorite song genres, and we want to represent our characters with the music style which is totally different from GOT7. So, we took part in the production of every song in this project. We created some of the songs together, and created the others separately. For the promo song, we got help from a song writer named Cosmic Boy. We hope that everyone would love our songs." Yugyeom explained.
Can the fans expect something special from this unit?
"The first special thing that the fans can expect from us is stage performance. The second thing is the music which is going to be something that the fans have never seen from GOT7. We try to focus more on expressing emotions through the music in this unit, and we tried our best to present our characters through the MVs and the music style." JB answered.
You mentioned that you share similar favorite song genres. Which genre are they?
“I like R&B and Hip-Hop. So, I tend to go with these music styles when I write a new song. I mostly go for R&B, and mix Trap beats into the song sometimes. Do you know Trap music? It's a type of Hip-Hop which we can mix it with R&B. If you ask me who is my favorite singer, I’d say Chris Brown (R&B singer) and Travis Scott, a Hip-Hop singer" (smile). Yugyeom answered first.
“For me, I don't particularly fond of any genre. If it's a good song, then I like it. Same goes for when I sing. If I like the song and it's the song that can express my feelings with good music, then I can sing it regardless of its genre. If I have to pick my favorite singer, I'd say D'Angelo is my idol. It doesn't mean that I want to make my songs like his though (smile). I also like to listen to Toro y Moi and Kaytranada's songs lately." JB shared his thoughts.

What are the secrets or tips you use to write a song that can impress everyone?
"There's no secret in my work process. It just needs a lot of thought. I mostly find inspiration from my own experience or the stories I can find around me such as movies, songs, or books. I also have my past like everyone, my love experience or others, which I can take to present in my song. It's the same as making a movie (Scenario)." JB replied immediately
“I also get new inspiration from my surroundings as well, from my point of view on different things in my daily life. For example, when I saw a couple on the other side of the road, I would imagine what they're talking about, how happy they are. Or when I saw people living their life, I would ask myself what is their happiness, where do they find it, maybe their happiness is family or children at home."
“For me, Hmm...I don't think I do anything special. I just want to have fun with it. I may put my life experience and my imagination into the lyrics, but I mostly just create a good result if I enjoy the process and are happy with it." Yugyeom shared his thoughts.
It seems your processes are quite different.
"Actually, we share the same trait which is that we both like to work freely and have fun with it. The difference might be our standpoint. Yugyeom wouldn't think too much and tend to be easy-going, but I would focus on the point. If we have to make a decision, I make a clear decision while Yugyeom is struggled to choose" (smile). JB denied our mention.
Yugyeom gave JB a dirty look. "I’m not like that anymore! Like JB said, and as we mentioned about the way we work, you'd see that our thoughts are quite different (smile). However, this difference is what makes JB a good consultant since he can point out something I couldn't think of which is a great help to me.
"Another difference would be our preference for food. We aren't picky, but JB would prefer Korean or seafood dishes. He also likes Thai food as well. ("Tom Yum Kung is my favorite, and I also love Gaeng Keow Wan Gai" JB mentioned.) However, I would prefer western dishes and red meat. For Thai food, ld say Khao Pad is the best."
Since you've been working together for a long time, have you had any conflict?
“Never. We do have our different thoughts, but if it's my responsibility, Yugyeom would respect my decision. And if it's his responsibility, I would respect his decision as well. In terms of group decision, we mostly agree with each other. I think he has grown up. Looking at how he conducts himself nowadays, I can say that he has become more responsible. I can't tell you the detail since it's his private life though" (smile). JB said with confidence.
So, has the big brother JB done anything that makes him look like a kid?
Yugyeom looked at JB before bursting a laugh. "Sure! Everyone would say that he's like a very naughty kid when he pulls a prank."

Since you are in this industry for 7-8 years already, do you remember the goal you had on the first day you entered this industry? And how far is your progress toward it now?
"My dream is still the same, which is to be a dance singer. To this day, I still have a long way to go, for both dancing, singing, and stage performance. I think I could keep getting better if I keep practicing." Yugyeom answered clearly.
“I’ve never had a goal. I used to be a b-boy dancer and I want to have a full experience with b-boy and Hip-Hop culture, but I have never set a goal to become a famous singer. If I get famous, that's good for me. I just want to dance the way I like and write songs freely. I didn't do it to get famous. All I want is just to give my all to make good songs." JB said.
“I still think that I need to produce more quality songs. Further than that, I want to keep working on it every day. Not to repeat the same thing over and over, but to explore something new to improve myself and widen my world with the new lessons and discoveries I could find along the way."
Looks like you two have come so far. What makes you become who you are today?
"I think it's diligence. As time passes by, I grow more diligent because I often think of the past which makes me feel that I could do things better but I didn't. That makes me try my best to keep getting better at my work so that I have no regret. It's to the point that everyone sees me as a very diligent and determined person." JB replied immediately. Yugyeom agreed to JB. "Like what he said, we just try our best and keep it up every day."
Have you ever been depressed or struggled because of your work? And how do you deal with it?
"Generally, it's my physical condition like when I'm tired or lack of sleep. Sometimes, I sit alone on a sofa and ask myself, what am I doing or why do I have to do it, which I believe that everyone has moments like this no matter what kind of job they do. However, I'm quite optimistic and easy to forget. When I start asking those questions, I'd just ask them and stop thinking further (laugh). Yugyeom shares his experience.
"My problem is that I think too much. I would overthink things over and over until it sinks into my heart which makes me feel very bad to the point that I can't sleep sometimes So, I normally try to sleep it off. If I feel very down, I will go out and meet my friends so that I can forget about it. When I have something on my mind,I will not tell the others. I usually try to figure it out myself. I may tell my parents about the problem on my mind, but that's only when they ask. If they don't ask, I don't talk" JB told us seriously. “But if we talk about physical tiredness like when I’m tired from work, I will think of when we released the song Never Ever. It was very cold back then. The time we finished our work and got into a warm place was the best. This memory could help me Cure my tiredness.”
Yugyeom took this chance to conclude. "I think we just need to be positive because no matter what's the problem, we can go through it"

What about the good time? Is there any good memory you get from work?
"I love to perform on the stage. Doing concerts is the best time in my working life." Yugyeom answered first.
"I do like to do concerts like him and I like the time we release a new album as well, but I would be happier when I get good feedback from my work. When GOT7 returned from the Eyes On You World Tour and received a lot of praise from the company or when I wrote You Are and got a praise message directly from the company's president at night, I was very happy. It makes me feel like every effort I put into my work pays off the good result." JB shared his memories
May you give some advice to the people who dream to be a popular and successful singer like you please?
"First of all, you must understand yourselves the most you can. Ask yourselves if this is really the job you want. You need to think carefully because you might regret and lose your way if this job turns out different from what you expect, but if you're sure about it, then you must give it your all to make a success of your dream. Do your best every day, and don't cower before any obstacle." JB, as the group leader, gave his advice
You have visited Thailand so many times and you will pay a visit again in the near future. Is there anything in Thailand that impresses you?
“I really love Thai food, especially seafood with a lot of shrimps. For traveling, I like Phuket the most. I saw a lot of advertising about Phuket, then I travelled there and found that it's a really great place. (Yugyeom nodded and agreed with JB. "Exactly, Phuket is the best. ") Oh! There's another place I want to visit. It’s Phi Phi Islands which I heard that we need to take a boat from Phuket to go there." JB answered with a smile.
"If we talk about Thailand, I would think of Thai fans. Every time we visit Thailand, Ahgases would treat us very well. The event that impressed me the most would be during the Eyes On You World Tour in Bangkok. The fans on the 3rd floor arranged pink glow signs to form the word GOT7 Saranghae (We love GOT7)" Yugyeom answered excitedly.
"That's right. I remember that Bambam would report the number of audiences to us before the concert excitedly. He said, You know that this is Thailand, right? All the 12,000 seats are packed full, you know? (laugh) Our Thai fans treat us very warmly. If it's American or westerner fans, they would enjoy the concert with us, but Thai fans would give us their all." JB confirmed Yugyeom's opinion.
Is there anything you want to say to Thai fans? JB pleaded with the fans first. "We are JUS2, the special unit from GOT7. We hope that you would like and enjoy our new release, Focus On Me. We put our feelings into this song. And I want to thank everyone for supporting us all this time. Thailand would be really hot right now. So, please take care of your health" (smile)
"Everyone would have been waiting for us for so long. I do want to meet everyone soon as well. Please support us in unit JUS2. We made the song and created new moves for this unit ourselves and we hope that you would love it." Yugyeom pleaded the fans with cuter tone. “Rak na…“ (love you.)
