They were fine with RM posting song recs, when Tedros was posting every shvt on his ig, but they are being nasty towards JM because his father donated to poor children's education on Jm's behalf? Suddenly JM is a "bad person" for not donating to palestine but donating to poor children? The performative activism is crazy. They also want Jm to post donation links to his ig, mind you, that man hasn't even posted anything there or on weverse in months. Why not ask the one that's active on sm to post? Tedros? Doesn't he have more followers that they keep bragging about? It's only on stan Twitter that an idol would get hate for donating towards poor children's education. Iam pretty sure even if jm posts for palestine and donates for Palestine, these ppl will find something to hate him about that too.

Like you said, it's performative activism in all its glory, something a lot of kpop stans, including army, have been doing for months. What they are doing now with Jimin is mostly another excuse to criticise him for every single thing he does or doesn't. As you pointed out, where is the same energy for those bts members who are active online on social media? Where is the demand for them to post donations links? I guess they are always excused. Army excels at hypocrisy as always.

Jimin has been donating to low-income students for many years and now, given his current situation, his father made the donation in his name. What stans are incapable of understanding is that someone doing his military service cannot involve himself into a political issue, especially one at an international level.
