u know I thought I’d hit rock bottom three years ago when the world shut down and I lost my dream job and my dream life… then last year I regained those things, at least as much as I could wrt covid… and now I feel like I’m losing it all again. I’m drifting apart from everyone I know here bc literally everybody has “moved on” from covid. even the people I consider friends, the ones who know I’m high risk and see me frequently post things basically begging the people around me to wear a mask and take literally any precautions. even my roommates — one of whom was the friend that urged and encouraged me to move back down here in the first place, and who until recently was taking more precautions than anyone I knew (aside from myself) — even they have decided to stop masking and avoiding packed indoor events. my roommates now constantly hang out without me; it’s like they’ve decided I’m not worth being friends with if it means they have to put a piece of fabric on their face when they go to the store or the gym or whatever. it really hurts and I should be used to the feeling by now, given that people have been disregarding my disabilities and deliberately putting me in danger my whole life, but. for some reason the pain has not lessened with the frequency of the blow. anyways the grief is unending fr
