Something tells me that, when first meeting Kanjira, Matilda immediately wrote about the size of her forehead. Of course, shje later forget about this, and instead found it quite cute.

And then Mercuria found that and her first impressions of Mercuria ('a diviner who has probably eaten a brownie')

Now, sure. Mercuria's was correct in a fashion. but Kanjira did look a bit hurt at the forehead comment. Cue the duck appearing to her room's door with rain pouring over her and holding chocolates as an apology (the rain is actually just Mercuria holding a hose pipe off around the corner)

Knowing Matilda, yeah! She probably had it written somewhere in a sticky note, almost like what Hoffman (HOGMAN BWJDJWJS) did with Heinrich.

She probably wouldn't throw it away, mistake number 1.

Mercuria would find hers about how weird and probably high she was during that time and she'd laugh. True, she did probably have a brownie or two at that time, so she found it funny.

Meanwhile Kanjira... It might be something she's insecure about, so reading that as her first impression did make her feel bad, thus the next scene.

Three polite knocks on the door with a squeaky shout of a "Kanjira, it's me, Matilda!" And once Kanjira opens the door, she sees the poor duck standing under the 'rain', completely soaked and with a box covered in plastic.

"Why is you wet? It shouldn't rain inside the suitcase"

"D-don't pay attention to that!! I'm here to apologize!"

And Pioneer and Mercuria are holding back their laughter while they hold the pipe, trying to be serious with this apology.
