nosferatu au (contains spoilers)

so, i saw nosferatu yesterday and a takafushiken au it WONT STOP rattling around my brain!! i love the gothic setting snd really want to apply the love triangle to my current favourite weird polyamory.

WALK WITH ME....kenjaku is count orlok (obviously, one of his past bodies had a moustache so the link is there!), but takaba should be ellen and megumi should be thomas.

takaba being so lonely when he was young, isolated and desperate calling out for someone and ending up with the ancient vampire count. then years later recanting their relationship and fleeing from him to be with megumi. yearning for them both urghhhhhhhhhhhhh the darkness and selfish part of him wanting kenjaku and kenjaku's obsession in return, that takaba is the only one who ever satiated him.

in the movie, orlok says "i am an appetite" and THAT'S KENJAKU IN THIS AU TO ME. yearning for entertainment and pleasure for centuries and finding it in a then lonely boy, and wanting the man he becomes.

trying the connect with him through megumi, his new husband and decades younger. a man hoping to prove himself that he takes the offer extended to him and also ends up in kenjaku's clutches. the intimacy between the count and thomas in the movie was so viseral and violent and i wanna see megumi panting and struggling and scared for his life fighting kenjaku, and also eventually giving in to him.

i am a Top Takaba truther, so ofc he's still topping kenjaku (an obsessive vampire submitting to him...sexy) and megumi. my wife said "it's two bottoms fighting over a top." yes. exactly that.

the convulsion and horror that takaba would experience; so upbeat and optimistic, a portrait of happiness that crumbles the longer megumi is away. kenjaku creeping in and takaba wanting to accept him and megumi both.

takaba and megumi with matching bite marks on their chests im going INSANE. I WANT TO SEE TAKABA RIP HIS BODICE OPEN........

AND THE ENDING I KEEP IMAGINING IT. takaba content to die with kenjaku like in canon, the terror and beauty of their bodies tangled together. inviting him in and accepting who and what they both are together. megumi being TOO LATEEEEEE and still being with takaba in that final moment. the grotesque serenity of their deaths. i wanna get back into drawing just to draw this and this au because it's making me go CRAZY
