What’s even funnier is that Dally talks a little bit closer to everyone else in the book- that being a bit more country sounding… you think in the movie he’s playing up the New York aspects, at least just a little. “Guy who actually managed to leave town once 6 years ago and won’t let anyone forget about it”.

DALLAS IS RED BECAUSE...

He's angry. All that pent up anger from his issues. He's also had blood on his hands before. If you think about red you may think roses or blood or something. But when Dally thinks of red, he sees himself. He thinks he's just another blink of an eye or when he's confident, a ruby. He always hated seeing red whenever there was a rumble back in NY. But deep down he begged himself to accept he loved red.

DARRY IS ORANGE ...

Stressed. I feel like orange is a perfect colour to describe stress and tiredness. And that's Darrel exactly. Having to raise his 16 and 14 year old siblings is a struggle at just twenty. Like when Pony described that Darry would come home with pulled muscles and a stiff back... He worked himself to the bone for his siblings.

PONY IS YELLOW BECAUSE...

If you think about it you may think happiness, but not me. Sure, I might at first, but no. Yellow is perfect for Ponyboy. The courageousness of him, his smile, how he loves the sunsets, he likes stuff others [his friends] don't. He may seem happy-go-lucky, but in reality he's been through a lot. That week in August changed him so much more than it seems.

TWO-BIT IS GREEN BECAUSE...

If you think of an alcohol bottle back then, they were green. Or if you think of disgust, jealousy, plants (weed), etc. Green. Plus I feel Keith's fav colour is green... When I was the jokester of my friendgroup, my fav colour was green. I don't see yellow when I think of the comedian, I think of green. The way Two is always downin bottles and crackin jokes to ease the pain... real.

JOHNNY IS BLUE BECAUSE...

The shit he went through. The way he minded his own business and stayed out of people's way because of the shit his parents did... just for him to be bullied and abused more...He never deserved anything that happened. Johnny was such a sad character and most people push him down and hate on him. I hate those people

STEVE IS PURPLE BECAUSE...

I feel like every jokester/mean person likes the colour purple, but... That doesn't fit Steve. I look at him as purple because it's a mix of blue and red and he seems like an angry but sad person. He's great at hiding it but in reality the purple of his aura is... Revealing of things.

SODA IS PINK BECAUSE...

He's as soft as the colour. He's so kind and sweet no matter who you are. He loves everyone and would def express it with "💕" or sum. He's the person I would go to after a hard day because HE WOULD LISTENNNN. Soda gets sad sometimes when no one will listen to him, but he's happy to help anyone else with their problems.

Underneath all the stressful anger he's so sweet with anyone when he's in a calm mood.
