Rules: Answer 21 questions and tag 21 people you want to get to know better
I was tagged by @dutch-doesnt-have-plan-der-linde
I’m gonna put it under the cut since it’s a little long
Nickname: my cousins call me Hands bc my name (Hana) always autocorrects to it but that’s it. no legitimate nicknames mine’s already only 4 letters long
Height: 5'7’’
Last movie I saw: I haven’t watched too many movies lately but I saw Isn’t it Romantic in theaters a few weeks ago with a friend. At least that’s the last thing I logged in my letterboxd.
Favorite Artists: I’m so boring but I don’t think I have one that I can think of. I like a lot of songs but never really a bunch from one artist.
Song Stuck in my head: Sons and Daughters by The Decemberists but my head keeps replacing “aluminum” with “alumillum”
Do I get asks: not too many like on one of my other blogs i have a lot more followers than on here and i rarely get asks, i think i just don’t say much to invite them lol
Other Blogs: agentkimballcho is main, foxanddana is x-files sideblog
Following: 1,129
Amount of sleep: at least 6 hours but only bc i’ve been taking zzquil every night lol
Lucky number: i don’t have one but 11 seems fun
What I’m wearing: purple sweatpants and a batman tshirt
Dream Job: don’t really have one but if I was more confident with my writing I’d say writing creatively (maybe specifically for video games)
Favorite Food: my favorite dessert is Knafeh <3
Dream Trip: Probably italy and I think i’m going this summer but only stopping in for a day or two actually i would love to go to new zealand as well and ireland
Play any Instruments: nope
Languages: English and Arabic (my Arabic needs a lot of work though)
Favorite Song: Ferma Zitella by Ludovico Einaudi like idk if it’s my favorite but it’s beautiful and gets me in my chest every time
Random fact: I’ll say it here bc nobody else will get excited with me, but a little while ago I stopped by the thrift store on my way to a movie and found some really beautiful leather bound jane austens and bought all 6 (this random guy helped me find all of them it was sweet) for around 2 dollars a book and when i looked online it turned out that i had found the whole easton press set and it was going for like 400 bucks or like 100 a book so i was really excited since i got the entire set for 15 dollars!
Describe yourself as aesthetic things: these are all gonna sound corny but they genuinely make me happy so leather bound books, cats (mine specifically), van gogh paintings (i was actually going to see At Eternity’s Gate the day i found those books and I loved it), tatreez (traditional palestinian embroidery), graphic tshirts, video game consoles/controllers, Legos tbh, Batman stuff
thank you for tagging me! I can’t think of 21 people and most of the people i follow have done this already, but if you haven’t yet and you see this do it and tag me so i can get to know you guys! :)

But I’ve quit taking the Ambien. It didn’t seem to do much for me, either at 5 mg or at 10.
Instead, I bought some Zzquil and have been taking that about half an hour before bed. It doesn’t zonk me out like Nyquil, but I have been sleeping quite a bit better. Like, at least six hours a night, instead of maybe four.
I’ve also been going to bed earlier, since the issue of waking up at 3 or 4 seems to happen regardless of when I actually fall asleep.
I regularly end up feeling weirdly dizzy at various points during the day, but who knows what that’s attributable to?

Day 3 of Alle’s Visit:
We woke up super early this morning to pack our bags to check out of the hostel! We were only in a rush to get the best experience out of the fish market since it was her first time. Upon leaving, we cleaned up and left the hostel as nice as we found it. We then headed to the station to catch a train to Ueno Station to store our luggage in the storage lockers so we could explore all day without lugging stuff around. We left the hostel by 6:30am and the overnight bus didn't leave until 10:20pm so we had ALL day!
After storing luggage, we trained to Tsukiji Fish Market! This is one of my favorite places, solely because of how fresh the sushi is! We arrived and walked around the market, taking lots of pictures and looking for a good sushi restaurant to eat breakfast at. Finally, we settled for the same place Keefe and I ate at previously because of the cheap prices! Allie ordered a shrimp platter and a tuna platter. I ordered a tuna platter and salmon platter. All raw for both of us! It was delicious and she was pleased.
Leaving the restaurant, we come across a lady with toothpicks of taste testers. Of course, Allie says GRASSHOPPER! So, I said ok! We tried it and pictured above is our reaction midway through the tasting. Of course at the end we had to smile and tell the lady “yummy”... haha...That was all from the fish market!
After, we finished up, we trained to the sky tree tower! There are thousands of shops inside and a lot of restaurants and other various things to do! We were still full from breakfast, but we did make a stop at nana’s matcha shop. Allie ordered a matcha frappe with mochi balls inside and I ordered a hot matcha tea with red bean paste inside. It was delicious! I was glad to know she liked matcha tea. We walked around shopping for a couple of hours before going to the actual sky tree lift. The cost was $20 and that took us up 650m! We took a ton of pictures and read a lot of the history about the sky tree and surrounding areas. It was a neat experience and also my first time going up in the tower! Highly recommend this to people visiting Tokyo, too!
After sky tree, it was starting to rain but we kept pressing onwards, hoping to finish the days itintery so that Allie could see and do as much as possible! We then trained to Asakusa where we began street shopping. The street shops are famous and are known for having the best Japan souvenirs. Accurate! It was awesome. All I bought was a beach bag for my upcoming trips, though! The rain then began to pour so we paused under a covered shopping plaza for a while. When the rain calmed down, we headed to Sensoji Temple which is the oldest Temple remaining in Tokyo! It was huge and extremely crowded, even on the rainy day. We made wishes, lit incense, and took many photos of the experience. The rain definitely rushed us because we were also cold because we forgot to grab our jackets out of our luggage which was all the way across town at this point! opps.
Our bellies were hungry after visiting the Temple, so we came across an Udon restaurant! Udon is a Japanese style noodle. Allie ordered Tofu Udon and I ordered Beef and Onion Udon. It was delicious and the owner actually spoke some English! This was a good break for our feet and to let the rain pass. (but it decided not to pass....) Anyways, after lunch, we trained to the Metropolitan Government buildings, which is known for a great view of Tokyo and is free! The building was highly secured with many security guards checking bags and such prior to entering. We started with the North entrance. At the 300m top point, there was a cafe and gift shop. So, along with a great view we also got another chance to rest. The side was closing early so we headed on over to the South side, where we could get a view as the sun was going down. It was beautiful! There were also a couple more gift shops to look around in. We wasted a good bit more of time around here before deciding to head back towards Ueno Station to catch the night bus. We walked around the station, which had Hard Rock Cafe, and a lot of other great shops and restaurants. We grabbed dinner at a random place inside the station. Allie had curry and rice. I had some weird noodle dish, which wasn't very good so I was bummed. After dinner, we went to a bread/sweets shop and bought a couple snacks for the overnight bus incase we got hungry! By the time we finished here, it was close to 10pm and time to grab our luggage that was stored in lockers.
We got our luggage and headed to the bus stop to catch it right at 10:20pm. Our seats were the worst ones, unfortunately. We were directly at the front so at every single stop during the night, we woke up. Annoying, right! Even the zzquil didn't knock us out for the whole night. We arrived in Tono at 6:30am, grabbed our luggage off the bus, and headed to my apartment. Tokyo=complete. Next=Tono!!!!!
Day 4 to be continued on the next blog!
