An Introduction to my Five Main Characters

Trigger warning: Mentions of character death, mentions of childhood trauma/abandonment, mentions of war and war related injuries

As the title suggests this is a simple introduction to my five main characters, not including the antagonists. The working title right now is Five Fools.

To explain some things, there are 7 countries. 3 of them are democratic countries. These are the countries run by humans. And 4 of them are kingdoms. 3 of these are the countries run by Elves and 1 is the one run by vampires. The countries names are as follows:

Calen Imlad (Elven) (Colors- Green and Gold)

Crumpenia (Human) (Colors- Blue and Red)

Elmash (Elven) (Colors- undecided)

Ashor (Human) (Colors- Purple and yellow)

Nathic (Human) (Colors- Black and Gold)

Ithil (Elven) (Colors- Silver and White) 

Skjallgrim (Vampiric) (Colors- Black and dark blue)

Aiwenor (Rovan) (Colors- Light blue and Light yellow)

Each character gets a quick little blurb describing their backstory. So without further ado, I introduce to you... drum roll please... The Five Fools!

Belua- She was born to two loving parents. Her and her twin brother's parents were killed by two werewolves when she and her brother were 11. These werewolves turned her twin into a werewolf but left him in her care. They survived together for a while but her brother was killed by werewolf poachers when they were 16. She left her country behind and went to Forthwit, Ashor. There she got a job at The Tipsy Griffin Tavern & Inn and was mentored by the owner. Eventually when she passed she left the Tavern to Belua. Belua started hiding runaways in the inn and that is how she met El. He was instructed to go to her by X and she kept him safe, but they forged a friendship and she felt like she couldn’t just send him off on his own so she gave him a job in the tavern and they stayed very close.

Lepus (Lee)- She was left by her birth mother on the door of a church that worshipped Flora and Fauna. They named her Lepus because they found a baby bunny at the same time as her. (This bunny was sent to guide her by her mother Fauna) She was raised well, everyone loved her. Growing up she could hear the animals whispering to her. She has harnessed this ability with the help of said rabbit and can communicate with animals. They can show her images in her mind, this could be showing her what they see or showing her memories. She can also just talk to them. She got her scar from a tussle with a fellow church goer. They were kids and were play-fighting. The kid scratched her face.

El- He is not very open about his childhood. He was born in Calen Imlad. He used to stargaze with his father, who taught him about astronomy. He was infected with Lycanthropy as a child. Because of this his father gave him up. He refuses to talk about what happened during this time. He escaped when he was 22. He was sent to Belua by X. She took a liking to him almost immediately. They became very close friends. She offered him a job which would pay for his food and lodging (+ a little extra) at The Tipsy Griffin. He plays Piano for the tavern during the day and helps Umbra steal things during the night. (He is a very talented lock pick)

Umbra- He grew up in Arnad, Calen Imlad. He discovered his connections to shadows at a young age. He can travel from one shadow to another, even through walls. This makes breaking and entering very easy. He got into trouble but the kings admired his skills. He was sent out on a mission to steal back an important necklace for the kingdom. After he stole it and returned it to the kings he asked them to stay in Ashor. He had fallen in love with the country. The kings said yes so he now lives in Forthwit. He works as a thief for hire and stays at The Tipsy Griffin, occasionally helping out with dishes or serving drinks.

Miles- He was abandoned by his parents at an army base in Forthwit and was raised to fight. He was sent to aid Crumpenia in their war against Elmash. While in active combat a grenade was thrown at him. It blew up, gravely injuring him. This resulted in him losing his leg (luckily the healers managed to save his knee) and being honourably discharged from service. He started drinking because of this. He does odd jobs around Forthwit. Namely labour jobs. He enjoys doing heavy lifting although his leg, rather lack of, slows him down a little.
