Your tumblr is how i realized that i am in fact not monogamous and now im not fully sure how to feel bout the fact that i discovered im at least ambiamourus from tumblr 🧍
Like imagine someone asking how i figured out im (most likely) poly nd i gotta be like '... tumblr-' 💀 (i am, awkward lol)
Bestie, you do not have to answer that way! 😎
A perfectly reasonable answer that is true and respectable is "I found a collection of anecdotes from polyamorous people, and really identified with a lot of them." Or some such. Its normal and expected that you phrase things to match the social context you're in! And if your brain is a context that prefers "I read some anonymous personal essays" then by all means think of it in those terms!
Also, hi, congrats! I'm honored. Always amazing to have more friends. I'm glad you learned something about yourself here! I do expect you to name your firstborn Polly Anna in honor of the blog uwu its in the contract you agreed to by viewing this blog teehee 😁

@trippyvulcan @bonsaibovine and two anons have asked for Pickle at the stakeout and who am I to argue?
"How do you spell 'mountain?" Pickle asked.
Izzy glanced in the rearview mirror. She was sitting in a way she tartly informed him was now called 'criss-cross applesauce' in the backseat with her little lapdesk pulled close. It was purple (never pink, she only liked purple) and there was a star pattern on the soft bottom. She had a few colored pencils in one hand, writing carefully with the other.
"M," Read said patiently, waiting for her to form the entire letter before offering the next.
Jim, in the passenger seat, hds unwavering focus on their target until Read says , 'I'
"A," Jim said absently.
"Really?" Read frowned.
"Yeah, A then I" Jim nods. "Pretty sure."
Pickle caught Izzy's eye in the mirror, apparently waiting for a deciding vote.
"Jim's right."
"Okay," she went on writing.
"I blame the public school system," Read muttered. "And spellcheck."
"Blame it on the rain," Jim shrugged. "Who cares? You're not getting graded on...what are you actually doing, P?"
"They show us a picture and we have to write three sentences about it," she sighed like the weight of the world is on her shoulders. "It's dumb."
"Homework is the worst," Read said sympathetically. "I gotta write a ten page paper when I get home."
"Ten?" Pickle asked, appalled. "How many sentences is that? A hundred?"
"At least," Read agreed.
"Did you do something wrong?"
"Nope. College classes are just like that sometimes."
"What do you have to write about?"
"Uh," Read, who was currently taking a truly disturbing class in child abuse that had resulted in several late night conversations where she and Izzy did not make eye contact and occasionally drank heavily, fumbled. "Boring adult stuff."
"Okay," Pickle accepted that. "Can I have a snack?"
"You already had one," Izzy reminded her. "Your mother will shatter my eardrums if I ruin your dinner."
"Again," Jim mumbled, lips twitching.
"I gotta pee," she announced another minute later.
Everyone groaned.
"I got it," Read decided. "There's a convenience store with one a block back, I'll get a bottle of water. Anyone else?"
"Yeah, thanks," Izzy nodded.
"I'm good," Jim shrugged.
It was definitely not stealth for Pickle to tumble out of the car, drop half her pencils in the process, pick them up with much carrying on while Read tried to make sure she wasn't hit by oncoming traffic. Then again, who would think that such a scene would come from a car doing surveillance? It probably worked out.
"She's bored," Jim observed.
"Yeah, yeah, I know," he sighed. "But we're all being paid to be here."
"Don't understand why. Standard point and click."
"I don't argue with fat wallets."
So of course five minutes later, a guy in just his underwear and carrying a very large gun tapped on their window.
"Your turn," Jim groaned.
"Nope, I got the fucker with the automatic last month."
"He wasn't even holding it right!"
"Still counts," he said smugly.
"Fine!"
Jim slammed the door open, jamming the gun into the guys chest then burst outward to land a punch into his nose. Doubled over, they went to work and Izzy waited for them to quit playing with their food before getting out.
He approached the guy, standing over him with a shake of the head,
"Your wife just wanted to know who you were fucking, dumbass."
"I know!" The guy groaned, curling in around his many aches. Jim was breaking down the gun, pocketing the bullets. "She'll leave me if she finds out!"
"Yeah, sounds like a you problem."
"Uncle Izzy?" Pickle asked from behind him. Shit. "Does that guy need help?"
Jim shot him a wide-eyed look. Izzy, who would never be a strategist, but was maybe a little more creative these days, kept his voice level.
"Nope. He just got a little confused. He's gonna get up and go back home now. Right?" Izzy gave the guy his best dead-eyed stare and reached into his jacket.
"Yeah! Yep. Going!" The guy stumbled to his feet and rabbited off, giving the neighborhood a long eyeful of too much skin. "Sorry to bother you!"
Izzy dropped his hand away. He had a knife on him, but it was in his boot. Waist sheaths were a nightmare if you were going to be sitting for any length of time. Idiot.
"Why was he in his underwear?" Pickle asked.
"Poor planning," Jim said gravely.
They both turned to look at her. Pickle was wearing her favorite shirt with some cartoon dog with a truly upsetting proportion of eyes to face, purple leggings and shoes that despite being almost brand new, looked like they'd been attacked by bears. Her expression was so Delly-like, all judgement and thunder that Izzy felt a little haunted.
"I think you guys beat him up," she decided, crossing her arms over his chest.
"Well-" Izzy started.
"And I missed it!" She stomped one foot. "No fair!"
Read caught up with them, holding a collection of water bottles and, unmistakably, Pickle's favorite potato chips. Goddamnit. Now he didn't even have anything to bribe her with.
"It wasn't a very good beating," Jim offered. "He kind of just fell over. Pretty boring."
"I never get to see anything cool," she fumed onward.
"Good news is, we get to go back to the office."
"Can I cut up old paper?" She asked, narrowing her eyes.
"Yeah, sure," Izzy said readily. Pickle had really taken to shredding documents. Did a decent job too.
"Do I have to finish my homework?"
Silence. Read and Jim were having a conversation of facial expressions that Izzy was ignoring so he wouldn't have to murder them both at a later time.
"How about you get as much done in the car as you can?"
"...deal," she capitulated.
"And you're telling Delly you fed her chips," Izzy hissed at Read.
"That's cool, she likes me better than you anyway," Read said breezily.
Which was probably true considering Read would occasionally babysit for date nights, something Izzy rarely consented to do since they coincided with his own date nights. Lucius liked Pickle in theory, but was charmingly terrified of small children that were left in his care for any length of time. He was better with teenagers.
Fuck, Pickle at fifteen would be a horror show. World enough and time for that. Maybe Izzy would die before it happened, that was a cheering thought.
"Hey, boss," Jim said halfway back to the agency. "Do we have to go out again tomorrow? We didn't actually get the shot."
"....shit. I'll call her, let her know what happened. See how she wants to play it," he blew out a breath. "What a stupid piece of shit."
"Don't say stupid," Pickle scolded from the backseat.
"Yeah, boss," Jim cackled.
"What should I say instead?" He asked, resigned.
"Silly," Pickle informed him.
Jim and Read were both looking at him expectantly.
"No."
"Aw, c'mon," Read pleaded. "Just once."
"It's only appropriate to model good behavior," Jim said flatly, in the way they did when they were borrowing Stede-talk. He fucking hated Stede's bullshit, but it was somehow even worse when filtered through Jim's irony.
"I will stop here, kick you out and make you walk back."
"Pickle would get tired," Read frowned.
"Pickle can stay," he snorted. "She's doing her fucking job. You're being pains in the ass because you can be."
"Yeah!" Pickle grinned. "Wait, what's my job?"
"Being 8," he told her. "Your job responsibilities are finishing the damn homework sheet, cutting up pieces of paper and causing aneurysms. You get compensated in juice boxes and potato chips."
"Cool," she decided and started writing again.
"I think she should renegotiate," Read suggested.
"If you three unionize against me, I'm retiring. You can run the place."
"But the accounting software hates us," Jim wrinkled their nose.
"It's not doing errors at you if you keep feeding the wrong data in."
"You always say that," Jim grumbled.
"Always fucking true."
Back at the office, everyone dispersed to their separate corners. Pickle got the client chair, a massive pair of scissors and a stack of confidential papers to shred.
Read was clearly working on her paper, but since her hours were exceedingly random at this point between classwork and her second job, Izzy left her to it. Jim was transcribing, headphones in and tapping away.
All in all, it felt like an industrious workplace, even if it was partially fictional.
"Hey, what's the word when you're like...careful, but in a bad way?" Read asked. "My brain is mush today."
"Over cautious," Jim suggested.
Read shook her head.
"Paranoid," Izzy provided.
"Oh thank fuck, yes that's it."
"Can I have a juice box?" Pickle asked, coming perilously close to her fingers. She'd never done it yet though, so he left her to it and fished a juice box out from the mini fridge.
He had to duck under the lemon tree to get it and when he turned around to hand it to her, he spotted.
"Holy shit," he leaned in to make sure he wasn't imagiing it, but htere it was. "Jim!"
"What?"
"Your s-" he caught himself and then resignedly plowed on. "Your silly fucking lemon tree finally made a lemon."
"No way!" Jim got to their feet and rushed over. Pickle weaseled in between their legs and Read was practically pressed to his back.
He pointed up to the higher leaves where there was perfectly beautiful yellow fruit.
"I guess it just needed some time," Read whispered like the words might scare the fruit away.
"What do you do with it?" Pickle asked, craning her head up. "Lemonade needs more lemons, right?"
"We still got sugar packets from the last coffee run?" Jim was already turning looking for them. Read fished a few out from the box on top of the mini fridge.
Which was how Delly came to pick up Pickle and found three grown people and her daughter, all sucking on lemon slices coated in sugar.
"You know what?" Delly decided. "I don't even want to know."
"It's really good!" Pickle bounced to her feet, gathering her things. "And I learned how to spell 'mountain'."
"That's great," Delly smiled at her, then darted an acessing look to her brother. Izzy shrugged, and picked up his remaining slice. "Want one?"
"...yes," she took it from him with a sigh. "It smells great in here actually."
The lemon tree produced a great many more lemons from there on out, but it was the first one that stayed with Izzy the most. Sour as anything, sweetened by scrounged sugar packets and the company he had learned to keep.

im loving the history lesson posts!!! what are you're thoughts on the ruins in Tabantha? based on the memory near the skywatchers and the shrine quests in the region, the stone ruins in tabantha existed about 10,000 years ago and were destroyed or vacated and left to crumble. but the stone structures contrast heavily with the wooden architecture of Rito Village? bUT if i'm remembering correctly the song lyrics go "pride of the rito/pillar to the sky" so the rito stone and tabantha itself has (1)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok first off, I AM SO SORRY! I read this ask months ago and I worked on it in my google docs and then I was going pure theory mode and then another person sent in another ask about ruins and I was getting all excited so basically long story short I got so caught up in making a masterlist of all the ruins that I completely forgot about this ask until now... So anon I apologize for the terrible wait but hopefully you’ll still enjoy what I have in planned.
You’ve given me a lot to work with so I’m going to break this up into several posts based on your asks. I’m gonna post them on different days becauseeeee content management, schedules, things.....I’m lazy and also if I posted all my thoughts in one post it would be like a giant book with zero pacing so
[Today] Thoughts on the Ancient Columns and the Ruins of Tabantha
[Some time later idk when I post it I’ll shove the link here] The Effects of the Calamity on the Rito and People of Hyrule
The Relationship between Skywatcher Locations and the Cunning of Calamity Ganon
Buckled in ladies, lads, and gentlefolk? It’s time for a history lesson, Part 1 o’ Trois. So today here is
Ancient Ruins, Architectural Parallels, and the Probable Worship of the Fae
So! Let’s start with the ruins of Tabantha. Specifically, the Ancient Columns.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anon you’re correct in that these ruins are over 10,000 years old. We can not only gather this from the fact that their condition is the same even 100 years ago, meaning they have to be older than a century (see their crumbled state and similar moss patterns) but also from direct lines from the Creating a Champion (CaC) book itself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, I’m inclined to believe (for several reasons that I’m going to get into) that these ruins have nothing to do with the “pillar in the sky” as mentioned in the Rito songs. For one, the pillar of Rito village is of an entirely different architectural style, given that it looks like the natural work of wind erosion. And for another, the existence of the Rito village pillar has to have been much younger, around 100 years old, in order to coincide with the Sheikah Shrine quest, as the Sheikah platform thingy has to correlate with the characteristics of the pillar’s shape. Ergo, ergo, ergo, the “pillar in the sky” isn’t 10,000 years old and has no correlation with the Ancient Columns.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok so! Back to the actual ruins themselves and what we can analyze from them.
Tumblr media
Circled above is every instance of ruins in the Tabantha region. Although I should specify that I’m talking about the Ancient Hylian ruins, as that is the type that is most notably scattered across this area.
We know that all these ruins are off the same civilization because of their style and material.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Remember this picture for later^^]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In addition, we can also tell from ruin maps in the CaC book that these ruins are from the same Hylian civilization, as well as the important detail that these ruins were centered around the Goddess.
Citing that other screenshot at the beginning on the Ancient Hylian Culture, these ruins were built around the same time as the Sacred Springs, so I think it’s safe to assume that these ruins had a religious purpose.
Tumblr media
But I can take this one step further! Up until now, all this information has been based on interpretations from the botw ruins and official info alone, but if we take into account the real life counterparts/parallels, I can prove the exact purpose to what these ruins are for!
Firstly, these ruins are obviously inspired by architecture in Ancient Greece, and other old Empires (like the Romans and Byzantines) across the Mediterranean.
Tumblr media
We also know that the ruins are constructed out of limestone. One, because moss is able to grow on it, so it is unlikely that it is marble. And two, we can see the actual limestone texture when seeing the broken parts of certain columns and walls.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[and kinda quick side note here: but the existence of large limestone rich structures 10,000 years ago gives more credit to the theory that Botw takes place after a large flood, notably the events of Wind Waker. One, because limestone is a material mined near the sea, as seen with the Island of Paros and Naxos for the Ancient Greeks. And Two, this ancient sea was directly mentioned in the description for botw rock salt. And also Three, this explains the weird placement of certain structures, such as the buildings placed on suspended and isolated rocky plateaus like the ones I showed earlier by the Skywatchers. So there’s your mini theory which kinda proves that the Tanagar Canyon was probably an ocean trench at one point and it also still proves my connection of the Ancient Hylian ruins being parallels to the Ancient Greeks and all that because...ocean. Greece, peninsula, hundreds of islands, lots of quarries in Hyrule by the sea. Akkala is by the sea, there’s quarries, also the islands with mining equipment like Tingle Island. You get it by now right?]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway. Greeks, Romans, polytheistic gods, temples for sacrifices, limestone, yadayadayada. Safe to assume that these Hylian ruins were of a civilization centered around a temple of some sort worshiping a powerful being, or beings, such Hylia. Hurray! Theory seems done.
BUT!
I can take it
A step FURTHER!!!
You see, I was originally gonna leave this post at that. The Ancient Columns are of an Ancient Hylian civilization 10,000 years ago that worshiped some higher powers. “Great!” I think to myself. “Time to get all my screenshots so that my ADHD followers wont die immediately”
But but but! As I was spending an hour or so getting said screenshots, I took this picture right here and came across a revelation so bright you could have placed a light bulb over my head...
Tumblr media
A pretty enough capture, got a nice aerial view of the ruins, the suspended island thing in the middle of the path... nice view of Tanagar Canyon and the Ancient Columns, the sunset is all pretty and—Oh hey! The Great Fairy Fountain is there. Heh, that’s nice. You know it’s kinda weird that it’s just plopped right in the middle of all these Ancient ruin and temp—
BAadaBing, badaBoom, ladies, lads, and gentlefolk! I’m here to tell ya that these giant fae ladies were once worshiped by 10,000 year old Hylian civilizations. And not just this fairy mind you, but all four of them.
First piece of evidence? The proximity of 10,000 year old structures to every Great Fairy. Mind you, these are the most rare type of ruin in the game. 90% of the ruins are of settlements destroyed 100 years ago by the Calamity, and then the other 10% is still divide up between the Ancient Sheikah and Zonai. So I find it quite interesting that almost every case these special ruined civilizations are near a Great Fairy. [Uh, spoilers for all the Great Fairy locations btw]
First, of course, you got the Great Fairy in Tabantha.
Tumblr media
Then you got the one in Akkala, by the Torrin Wetlands (again, the highlights in yellow are of the canonical 10,000 year old Hylian ruins)
Tumblr media
The Lanayru Promenade isn’t even up for debate at this point....I mean it was the parade ground for the ceremony up to the Spring of Wisdom. How much more “Ancient Hylian” can you get then that?
Tumblr media
The only kinda iffy one is the Great Fairy in the Gerudo desert, but even THEN this fairy is by two out of the three only instances of 10,000 year old ruins in the entire desert, the third instance being the Zonai labyrinth.
Tumblr media
But, sure. Correlation might not equal causation. But I think the picture becomes all the more clear when you take a look at the timeline of events!
Note that no one in Hyrule really knows what the fairies are all about. Sure, you got that one researched in Tabantha that knew about one of them, and some of the elders in Kakariko had a sort of understanding that a fairy was their neighbor. However, their stance was that of wariness and caution, and they very much did not worship or give offerings to them. Dorian, for example explicitly shows suspicion towards the fairy, and thinks they might be dangerous. (Which, to be fair, is valid if you’ve ever read ANYTHING about the fae)
My point is, people don’t know what the Great Fairies are, or what their powers, motives, or *anything* really are. Sure, 100 years might have passed, but it would be pretty hard to forget something as eye catching as the fae. The people of Hyrule can remember century old white horses, cook books, treasure locations, ancient songs, and vague legends, but the majority of them don’t know about the Giant (seriously, it’s right in the name) Fairy Fountains?!
That is, of course, under the assumption that the Great Fairies existence was known 100 years ago. But what if it wasn’t?
You might be inclined to assume that the fairies lost their power because the Calamity prevented them from getting offerings 100 years ago, but in truth, there is no evidence whatsoever saying that their lack of power originated at the rise of Calamity.
It’s entirely likely that they haven’t been sitting around for 100 years, but 10,000, or even more. It explains why no one knows anything about them, and also their proximity to the ruins.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A beautiful spring you say? You power is directly correlated to offerings you say?
Gee if only there was some ancient civilization that existed a long time ago, that has ties to old religious practices, temples, and polytheistic, which has parallels to the Ancient Greeks and Romans who build their civilizations centering around certain gods and offerings to said powers, and also if only these said civilizations were nearby to all of the fae oh WAIT!
Even when Link gives his offerings, the results are only that of the Great Fairy Fountain blooming, not an entire spring. Could an entire spring existed long ago, providing for the hundreds or thousands of people who worshiped the fae? Who’s to say that these old 10,000 year old civilizations gave offerings to the fae not only for the magic and all that, but for the vitality and life that they provide? Who’s to say that those earlier relief arts of warriors on chariots were of people with enhanced armour. Fairies that give you magic defense would be quit helpful for a civilization that liked to battle... the possibilities are endless....
TL;DR, the Ancient Columns, along with the other 10,000 year old Hylian structures, were constructed for religious purposes, centering around the Great Fairies, who accepted their offerings in exchange for the vitality of their springs, as well as their enchantments.
So! That’s that. Can you believe this is just me tackling only one aspect of anon’s ask? I realize that the majority of the ask was about the Rito but...oops! That’s why I split it into parts. [When I post the other posts I’ll update the contents at the top to link to them]
A like and reblog is appreciated! I spent too long on this, including an extra week because tumblr deleted my original draft which was much longer... so if you liked it, let me know! It’d be nice to know that my time didn’t completely go to waste, :P Anyhow thanks for reading all this

Hi beautiful! You're amazing and I love what you write. Pls, continue what you're doing. 🖤 Can you do something for Peter, like him knowing he's gonna marry the reader since they first got together until they finally do it? I think it will be pretty cute. Thank uuuu!
Summary: Peter told his best friend, Ned, he’d marry the girl back when they started dating. Even though some things got in their way, they finally got where they always wanted.
A/N: I’m sorry I took a little while to get to your request but considering that I always take forever to get to your requests, this was actually okay. And I LOVED that I got a wedding request because tbh I’m in such a mood to write/read about it (send me your fic recs to read about it). I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did.
Also, I’ve been kind of bummed out that I haven’t got much feedback on my fanfics lately. An anon left me a pretty message and thank you for that one. I dedicate this one for you (idk if you’re also the one who requested this one haha).
Words: 5.5K (a biggie)
Pairing: Peter Parker x Female Reader
Warnings: Swearing, a little angst, crying, mentions of death, Endgame spoilers (?, dude it’s been more than a year).

MARRY ME
Tumblr media
“Peter, I think you’re rushing into this.” Ned was helping Peter sat the table for their traditional movie night with a bunch of snacks. “You just met her and you’ve been dating for less than a month. You’re already inviting her to our movie nights.”
“Look, Ned. She’s cool and I really like her. You’re gonna like her too.”
“But this is our thing. Do you really think she’s gonna like sticking around us, watching Star Wars and eating extremely unhealthy food.” Ned showed some salty pretzels he just poured in a pot. When the doorbell rang, Peter rushed to the door.
“Just… be nice to her, okay?” He opened it and found you just standing there, the prettiest girl in the whole world - under his eyes. You were looking so cute wearing your jeans, a big hoodie that probably belonged to him and a slight blush on your cheeks, that only increased once Peter opened the door. He gave you the biggest and shiniest smile in the world, enough to warm her heart.
“Hey, I’m sorry I’m late.” You glanced down to your hands a big pink box. “I went to get some cupcakes in our favourite store in Manhattan and got a little late.”
“Totally worth it.” He cupped your cheeks and softly pressed his lips against yours with a foolish smile on his face. “Come in.” He gave you space to come in and took a good look around the room.
Peter’s apartment was cosy. You loved to hang out there because it was always so good and you loved it since the first time you even set foot inside it to meet his aunt and have dinner with them. Right now it was a little different because May wasn’t home and the whole living room was a mess, full of blankets, pillows and snacks. Ned was sitting in the corner making himself busy with salty pretzels.
“Hi, Ned.” You greeted with a smile and he smiled back.
“Hey, (Y/N).”
“Sorry, I’m late. I hope you like cupcakes because I brought many of them.” You opened the box and Ned’s eyes shinned.
“You brought blueberry lemon? It’s my favourite!” He grabbed one with such excitement, making you giggle.
“Pete told me which one you liked it. I brought everyone’s favourite.”
“Pinneaple cream.” Peter picked his cupcake and gave her a pick kiss on the cheek.
“Also May’s red velvet cupcakes and my chocolate ones.”
“You need to hang out with us much more.” Ned said, making you giggle even more and rest your box over the table. You pulled the pretzel pot over and sat on Peter’s lap, resting your head on his chest. He involved you two with a blanket, making you both comfortable.
“What are we watching today?” You asked and the boys shrugged.
“We usually spend a full hour looking for something new to watch, but we end up watching Star Wars again.”
“So let’s skip straight to Star Wars.” You said chugging a bunch of pretzels on your mouth.
“You like Star Wars?” Peter frowned and you chuckled.
“Babe, we’ve been dating for almost a month and you don’t know my favourite movie?”  His mouth fell slightly opened and Ned got excited, getting up to start the movie.
“So Star Wars it is!”
Peter couldn’t be happier than his girlfriend and his best friend were getting along. He loved to have you in his arms during the whole movie, just to feel you a little bit because you haven’t been this intimate in more than a week and he missed you. He loved when you and Ned started to argue about the movie and just rambled for some minutes and falling into laughter after a long discussion. It was a long night and they had a great time together.
“I have to leave now. My mom’s downstairs to take me home. But I had a good time with you guys today, I’m sorry for ruining the guy’s movie night.” “You’re invited to every single following one, (Y/N).” Ned said and Peter smiled to see that he changed his mind.
“Thank you, Ned. I left some cupcakes, and please don’t eat May’s.” You pleaded and they both nodded. “Good night boys, I’ll see you in school.”
“Nigh, (Y/N).” Ned said walking to the living room to give them some privacy.
“Good night, my love.” Peter said leaving one last kiss on her lips, making her smile widely. “Text me when you get home.”
“I will.” You waved at him and he waited until you disappeared from his sight to close the door. He returned to the living room with a stupid smile on his face, sitting next to Ned who was enjoying another cupcake.
“Oh, I love her so much.” He mumbled looking up to the ceiling. “Ned, I’m gonna marry her someday.” “Dude, how can you be so sure?”
“Because if it isn’t her, I don’t want to get married at all. She’s my everything, she’s perfect.”
“Aren’t you rushing into things? The last time you went this fast it ended up with Liz Allen breaking your heart.”
“This time it’s different. She isn’t Liz Allen. She’s my angel and I’m gonna marry her someday.” Peter smiled own himself and thought about how much he loved that girl and how special she was to him. He wanted more than anything to be with her forever.
“She’s just a High School girlfriend, Peter. Those relationships never last.”
“Wow, Ned. Very nice, uhm? I thought you liked (Y/N).”
“I do like her, but I’m being realistic.”
“Well, I don’t know. I hope you’re not right. I love her so much it hurts.”
“Whatever. Let’s play Dungeons and Dragons.”
(...)
“Uhm, you smell good.” You mumbled against Peter’s neck. He smiled and pressed a kiss on top of your head. You were cuddling together on a small seat back in the school bus coming back from a field trip. You were holding onto Peter’s arm while your legs rested over his and you gently rested your head on the crook of his neck, with his resting on top of yours.
“You sound tired.” He mumbled and you nodded.
“I’m very tired. And starving.” You looked up to him and he pressed a small kiss against your lips.
“Why don’t we go over to my apartment? We can buy a couple of Delmar’s along the way and just cuddle for the rest of the day. Maybe you could sleepover…” He suggested, blushing slightly since he never invited you to a sleepover before.
“I’d loved that.” You rubbed circles on his face and gently kissed his lips again. Once you pulled away, you got your head back in the crook of his neck and closed your eyes to get a little nap since you were so comfortable that way.
You and Peter have been dating for several months now, you weren’t sure how many, but you knew it’s been a long time. And you were glad that you were finally growing into a more mature relationship and you were proud of what you’re becoming. You couldn’t wait to see where you were going next and it was exciting.
You were almost snoring with Peter’s arms involving you into a comforting hug and slightly rocking you, but you felt his arms tense up and you shot your eyes open to look at him. Peter was staring outside the window with a worried expression and you sat straight to meet what he was looking at. A giant circle was flying over New York and you could feel he knew something was wrong.
“I guess we’re not doing Delmar’s and sleepovers tonight.”
“I am so sorry, baby.” He kissed your lips and you nodded.
“Go get ‘em, tiger.” You whispered against his lips and he nodded, turning around to see Ned sitting next to MJ, who was too distracted reading a book.
“Ned, I need you to cause a distraction.” Peter pointed his head to the circle and Ned’s eyes widened.
“Holy shit. WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE, THERE’S A SPACESHIP…” Ned ran for the back of the bus making everyone follow him to see what was going on. Peter gave you one last look while putting his web-shooters on and opened the window before grinning to you with concern.
“I love you.” He said and your heart ached because something about it seemed wrong.
“I love you too.” He shot the window and got out of it, disappearing in the New York skyline. You leaned against the window and watched him go again with a sharp pain in your chest.
“He’s gonna be okay.” Ned mumbled standing next to you in the hallway and you nodded, too worried to say anything. He sat next to you and rested a hand on your shoulder. “You could stay in my apartment for a movie night until he gets back. We can watch Star Wars.”
“That would be great, thank you. I could use a distraction.”
“He’s amazing and you know that. He’s gonna be back home in time to join us for the movie.”
But he wasn’t and you were starting to get concerned. You managed to get quickly to Ned’s apartment and not get any harm. You parents were still at work and stuck there, so they were glad you were with someone to make you company. He tried to cheer you up, even made snacks and got a new Lego for you to build, but you were too worried about Peter.
You sat down and watched the chaos on TV and there was even footage of Spider-Man, Iron Man and some other heroes fighting bad guys and it made your heartache to see your boyfriend in such dangerous situation. So you cried over a pot of ice cream offered by Ned and just rambled on to him about every concern you had until he managed to make you calm down with funny movies and some snacks.
“We ran out of salty pretzels.” You said once you realized it was all gone.
“I have chocolate pretzels if you want it.” He suggested and you nodded.
“Pretty please.” He chuckled and went to get some in the kitchen. You kept on watching the movie until you heard a shattering glass sound as if he dropped the bowl on the floor. “Ned, are you okay?” You stood up and went to find him in the kitchen, meeting nothing but a broken bowl, chocolate pretzels all over the place and a pile of dust lying next to it. “Oh, God.”
You tried to reach for your phone but it fell from your hand as you watched it turning to dust. Your eyes widened and even though you wanted to scream or say something, you couldn’t. All your mind was thinking of was Peter and all you could do was pray that he was okay. And suddenly you were gone.
(...)
When you woke up you felt a little dizzy. Your vision was blurry and you could throw up right there if you had anything on your stomach. You head was in such a huge pain and your muscles were all tensed up. You were very confused and you just lied until your vision was okay again and you could sit up, finding a very strange place. An adult woman was standing in the living room with a shocked face, a glass up water broken on the floor. You frowned, trying to recognize that woman or the place you were, which were not unfamiliar. This was Ned’s house.
And then you remembered everything. The field trip, Peter, being in Ned’s apartment and turning into dust. Your eyes widened and you stirred in your heels to look around the room, finding Ned sitting on the floor, rubbing his eyes, just confused as you. Nobody dared to say a word until Ned himself said.
“Holy shit!” He cursed and shot up quickly. “Mom?”
“Ned! I thought you were dead.” The woman ran across you and hugged her son tightly, sprinkling kisses across his face.
“What happened?” He asked and the woman was soaked in tears.
“They called it The Snap, at least that’s what the Avengers told us when they came back. And half of the population of the universe turned into dust, including you and your father. I was the only one left.”
“(Y/N).” Ned said and got off his mom’s embrace to meet you in the living room, pulling you into a tight hug. “Are you okay?”
“I guess so. I’m a little dizzy, though.”
“I’m gonna get you something to eat and some medicine to take.” The woman said and you followed Ned the living room, where he changed channels to the news one, showing that everyone was back. You sat there, trying to process the whole thing and trying to remember what happened until you remembered the most important thing.
“Peter…” You whispered and looked at Ned. “Where’s Peter, is he okay?” He shrugged a little hesitant and his mother came back with two sandwiches.
“Peter died with you all when it happened. But since you two came back, maybe he’s back too.” She said and you nodded, taking the sandwich.
“Thank, Mrs Leeds. But I should go home, my mom must be looking for me.” You said and she nodded. “Ned, if you hear anything from Peter, call me.”
“I’m sure he’s gonna get to you first.”
“Don’t care, bye!” You ran out of the apartment and quickly walked to your own, which wasn’t so far away from Ned’s.
The street was chaos, people appearing out of nowhere and reuniting with their loved ones, it was almost getting in your way home. You ran on the streets, trying to get there as quick as possible, even though you were eating a sandwich and your head was hurting a lot. Your mom and dad were standing in front of your building and you ran for their embrace.
“Sweetheart, you’re okay!” Your dad said, pulling you tightly into a hug.
“I am, dad.” You said hugging them ever tighter. “What happened to you guys?”
“We stayed alive, you were the only one who was snapped and we were… devastated.” Your mom started to say and she was crying more than anything right now. “I’m so glad you’re okay.”
“What about Peter? And May?”
“They both snapped sweetie.” Your father said and you were lost in tears. “But I’m sure they are fine now, just like you are.”
“God, I’m praying for them to be.” You said and your mom nodded.
“Let’s get you upstairs, you look horrible, we’ll take care of you.”
Thank God your father was a doctor and had everything you need to be okay. He got you an IV access for serum and medicine, lied you down in your bed and had your mom making you something to eat.
“I want burgers. I’m so hungry.” You said and she smiled nodding.
“I’m gonna make as much as you want them. I’m not sure if they are delivering food today.” Your mother winked and you chuckled.
Right after she came back with two burgers, they just filled you in with everything. Five years had gone by and half of the universe was wiped from existence and they even had a funeral for you, a small one since there weren’t many people left, but they never got the courage to pack all your stuff and give it away. Your mom was three months pregnant because, after years of mourning for you, they decided they needed to try having kids again and now you were gonna have a sibling. And they told about the battle and the day Steve Rogers came to television to clear everything up for everyone. You found out that now your parents knew about him being Spider-Man, that they met Tony Stark because he visited them to meet the family of Peter’s gorgeous girlfriend and he made them swear they wouldn’t give Peter’s secret away. Oh, you missed him so much and you wish he was there so you could take care of each other.
After a long night catching up on each other’s life, your parent’s decided you needed some sleep because even though you were gone for five years, you must be tired, so they removed your IV and left the room. You tried to phone May, but she wasn’t getting your calls, neither was Peter and you started to worry. That’s why you didn’t sleep at all when your parents left, you stood wide awake, worried about your boyfriend and trying to reach him somehow. You gave up when tiredness started to hit you and it was almost four in the morning, you needed some sleep. That’s was when you closed your eyes and seconds after it, you heard a noise on your fire escape.
Spider-Mans suit was much different from the last time you saw it, since before it was much more subtle and now it is an iron suit, just like Iron Man’s. Peter looked just the same from the last time you saw him, except that he had many bruises and dry blood all over his face. He looked tired and hurt, but especially sad, with tears in his eyes. You stood up in a heartbeat and ran for his arms without even saying a word. Peter relaxed one you held him and it felt like the whole world’s weight left his shoulders.
“Oh my God, I can’t believe you’re here.” You whispered in his ear and he gasped. “I thought I had lost you.”
“Me too.” He leaned back and cupped your cheek, rubbing it with his thumb and taking in every detail of your face. He kissed you and it was… magical. So needy and the only thing that mattered right at that moment. Peter leaned against the wall and pulled you by the waist. He pressed a button to contract his suit so he could feel your skin, making him moan in your lips. “Baby, you have no idea what happened.”
“You can tell me about everything. Just let it all go.” You rubbed his back and he started to cry even harder.
“Tony died. He died saving all of us.” He started to sob and you pulled him into a tight hug. “He died right in front of me and I did… nothing.”
“I’m so sorry Pete.” You could feel his pain exhaling to your body and you wanted it more than ever to go away.
“All I could think about was you, from the second I came back. I fought for you, to get back to you.” He moved some strays of hair from your face and kissed you again, with much more intensity. “Marry me.” He whispered against your lips.
“What?” You were drunk in his kisses and he kept them happening.
“Marry me, (Y/N) (Y/L/N).” He whispered again between kisses and you broke them off.
“Peter, we’re still in High School.”
“I don’t care, I just wanna be with you for the rest of my life.” He said it again, initiating another kiss. “All of this only made it more clear, that you’re the love of my life and the universe gave us a second chance to be together and I don’t wanna waste even one second of it. I wanna be with you forever because if it isn’t you, there’s no point at all. I wanna marry you, (Y/N). And I’ve never been so sure of everything before in my life.”
“Then marry me, Peter Parker.” You smiled and pulled him into another kiss. “But can we at least wait until we graduate?” He nodded with a small grin on his face.
“We don’t need to rush. I’ll just keep asking you every day until the wedding.” You laughed and pulled him to bed.
“What about May? Is she okay?”
“Yes. She’s in the hospital, a little dehydrated. Uhm, we lost the apartment and we don’t have a place to stay right now, so I guess she’s fine there. I’ll just crash at the Stark Tower in Manhattan.”
“Hell no! We haven’t seen each other in five years and we just got engaged. You’re gonna stay here and I’ll get you something to eat and take care of you.” He smiled softly and you left the room to get some things to take care of him.
Eventually, your parents woke up and your father took care of Peter’s wounds and got him an IV just like yours. You all filled in each other’s lives and now everyone knew what had happened during this time you were gone. Peter got so happy when he heard that your mom was pregnant and he was happy that at least in your life everything was okay. He didn’t know how he’d recover from this, but he knew there would always be someone to help.
“Oh, Peter. We have a spare bedroom that soon is gonna turn into a baby’s room. But there’s still furniture left in there and we can keep it that way for some more months. Why don’t you and May stay with us until you find somewhere to stay.”
“That would be great.” He smiled and nodded. “I hope it doesn’t bother you.”
“Not at all! You’re family Pete.” Your mother caressed his face just like you do. “I guess you’re gonna need some rest. No funny business you two, but you can share the bed tonight.”
“Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. (Y/L/N).”
“Good night, kids.”
“Good night.” They mumbled watching them closing the door.
“Feeling better?” You asked and he nodded, pulling you closer to lie with him.
“I love you more than anything in the world.”
“I love you too.” You pressed a kiss on his nose and turned around to be spooned.
“Good night, future wifey.”
“Good night, future hubby.”
(...)
You wanted more than anything to just shut your computer down and do something else to relax, but exams were close and you needed to study harder than ever. You knew college wasn’t easy, but you didn’t know it was that hard. After many years of struggling with the end of semesters and many essays to do, now you had your apartment instead of living in a small dormitory on campus. Taking care of it and having to deal with college stuff was hard, but that was just being a grown-up.
First, it was easy because you shared the apartment with your boyfriend Peter. You decided to move in together since you were in Harvard, he was in the MIT and maybe moving in together would make you guys see each other more often, which was a big lie. Peter stopped doing his Spider-Man duties when he wasn’t in New York, but still was working on Stark Industries inside the MIT and it was consuming most of his time, so he was never home.
After a while fighting tiredness, it finally won and you decided to stop studying to lie in front of the TV, maybe drink some alcoholic drink and order pizza because you were too tired to do anything other than procrastinating. You missed Peter more than you could express and you wish he was there to lie with you and just watch a full season of Parks and Recreation with you and doing silly Ben Wyatt impressions just because he knew you liked it. But the door never opened and he never came back home.
“Hi, darling. I’m so sorry I’m late.” Peter entered the apartment holding a big pizza box. “I ran into the pizza guy when I got here and got it for you.”
“Uhm, my hero.” You opened your arms to hug him and he pulled you up into a koala hug, one you very much appreciated. “I missed you so much.”
“I missed you too.” He kissed her temple and she leaned back to analyze his face, grinning. “What is it?”
“You’re so beautiful.”
“Oh, baby. You’re beautiful too.” He kissed her again and settled her back in the couch. “Did you have a nice day?”
“Uhm, not really. Kind of tiring, I spent the whole day studying. And you?”
“Well, I’m not exactly thrilled today.” He said and leaned back into the couch, taking you with him.
“What’s wrong baby?”
“It’s Tony’s death anniversary.” You nodded, knowing how hard this was for him.
“Oh. It’s okay, I got you.” You said and he smiled weakly.
“I don’t know. I just spent the whole day working and suddenly that whole day couldn’t get out of my head. I know it’s been years, but I remembered every detail of it, the battle, seeing him dying in front of my eyes. And then I remembered coming back to you.”
“The night we…”
“The night we got engaged.” He finished your sentence and you nodded. “I’m just kind of bummed that I keep asking you to be my wife over the years, but we were too young, and then we didn’t have money. But now I have a job, we’re almost out of college and I think we’re old enough to get married now.”
“Babe does this means…”
“I want us to finally get married.” He said and you widened your eyes.
“Oh my God, are you sure?”
“Yes! But I want to do this right, you know… Buy you an engagement ring, find a new place for us in New York, get that big wedding we’ve always wanted.” He said and you nodded excitedly.
“Are we really doing this?” You asked and he nodded with a big smile on his face.
“Only if you want to.”
“Of course! I want this more than anything in the world.” You jumped into his arms and kissed him hungrily. “Ugh, I love you so much. You sure know how to make my day.”
“I love you too, bubs.”
(...)
“Hey, everyone’s waiting for you. Are you ready?” MJ knocked softly on the door and found you checking yourself out in the big mirror in your room.
“I don’t know. Do I look alright?” You turned to check the back of the dress and MJ smiled.
“You look amazing, as always.” She chuckled and you smiled at her. “So I think you’re ready.”
“I think I am.” You were shaking and nervous, which MJ noticed and rested a hand on your arm to calm you down.
“Your father is waiting for you.” She left after she said those words and you glanced at yourself in the mirror to breath deeply one last time.
“Let’s do this.” You whispered to yourself and walked out of that room, nervous as fuck. Your dad was fixing his tie by the time you got there.
“Oh my God, sweetheart. You look… stunning.” His eyes watered once he saw you. “I loved the dress.”
“Thank you, dad.” You smiled at him and gave him a big hug. “Do you think Peter’s gonna like it?”
“He would like it even if it was the worst dress in the world. The only thing that matters to him is the girl wearing it.”
“So, you’re not giving me a ‘don’t get married’ speech like every father?”
“No.” He smiled tenderly and kissed the top of your head. “I trust Peter and I trust you. And you belong together.”
“Thank you, dad. I love you.”
“I love you too.” You entwined your arms and the music started to play. Making your heart beat faster and you swear you could just throw up right there.
You and Peter decided to have a wedding over the Starks lake house once Pepper offered you the place the day you both visited her and told her the good news. You were both thrilled to have an outdoor wedding facing a pretty lake. It was the perfect place to make everything official and you couldn’t be happier.
“Okay, let’s do this.” You said and they opened the front door so you could step out in the porch and meet everyone waiting for you.
Peter was waiting down the aisle and his eyes watered to see you wearing a wedding dress and he was the lucky guy you were getting married to. He just couldn’t believe how lucky he was to get the girl of his dreams. You cried too, he looked to beautiful as well and it was like everything around you disappeared when you were both in the room and that was all you needed. Your dad shook his hand and walked to join your mom in the front row. Peter smile was bigger than you’ve ever seen before. He leaned in and kissed your forehead before pulling you to the small stage.
You got to finally take a good look at the crowd. Lots of superheroes and their families, some friends you made over the years, a few families, including your mom and dad sitting next to May, Morgan and Pepper. Your best friends were also sitting in the front, always giving you the biggest support. You smiled to see everyone there, in the most important moment of your life. The ceremony started and the minister got to say a few words before you could start your vows.
“(Y/N), my pretty girl. I don’t think you remember this, but years ago, back when we started dating, I invited you over to my apartment for a movie night with me and Ned. You brought cupcakes and watched Star Wars with her. We already knew you were the coolest person in the world and that we had a great time that night. But there’s one thing you don’t know. That was the night I first said that I was going to marry you someday, and I kept that promise. We got engaged when we were only 17 and I kept asking you to be my wifey over the many years that followed. Thank God we finally got here.” He was holding your hands and looking directly in your eyes, that were watering with every word he was saying. “I had long nights awake thinking about what to say to you when we started to plan the wedding and to be honest, I still don’t know what to say. “ You all chuckled, but you squeezed his hands to comfort him. “I guess I just wanted you to know that you’re the prettiest girl in the whole world and that I love you more than life itself. It’s been years since I first said I wanted to marry you and nothing ever changed. I love you with every cell of my body and I will love you through all eternity.”
“You dummy.” You chuckled and he took a deep breath.
“Life tried to tear us apart and when we finally got a second chance after the snap… I just knew it was meant to be and I’m really glad we’re doing this today. I vow to always take care of you, just like you have taken care of me through all these years. And I promise to try making you happy every day and to always be by your side when you need me. I love you, wifey.” You mouthed an ‘I love you’ back and he smiled.
“(Y/N), your vows…”
“Pete. I don’t even know where to start. Okay, let’s just start with our first date. We were so raw and we talked about a lot of intimate stuff on the first time we went out and I just knew I trusted you with all my heart and you trusted me back. You told me you wanted to start a family of your own someday because you wanted to make a kid have a good life with their parents like you never had. I was already so head over heels for you that in already knew I wanted to be the person you created your family with.” He was crying much more than you were at that moment. “I thought I had lost you many years ago and thank God we got a second chance because I wouldn’t know what I’d do without you and our little family. I love you since that one, and I love our story, how we got here and the battles we fought together. They are just as important to me as you are. And I’ll love you until my last breath, just like I did some years ago, and just like I will when the time comes. I’ll love you through all eternity, hubby.”
“Peter, do you accept (Y/N) as your wife?”
“I do.” He said looking you in the eyes and you couldn’t be happier.
“(Y/N), do you take Peter as your husband?”
“I do.” You repeated his words and if he could, Peter would have just kissed you right there. You slipped your rings in each other’s fingers and kissed your hands.
“I now declare you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”
Peter took you in his arms and kissed you as he had never done before, and to be honest, it was the first time you kissed as a married couple. You were over the clouds and proud to be right there with him, you couldn’t be happier after all those years trying to get to that place. It was the perfect timing and meant to be.
“I love you, hubby.”
“I love you, wifey.”

{{ tag anon; i'm,, loving how you write Izuru-- BAWLING EVEN,, oh my god it's perfect }}
Yato quickly inhaled, the new information that was spoken so casually had entered his brain, processing in a quick manner, "wait but that's not possibl--!"
he had stopped speaking when the other inhaled, feeling as if he were being annoying to the man now. but he was only asking simple questions, rational ones, at that. he didn't know the man too well or knew where he was taking him, and even though Yato was in the right to ask questions--despite being the one who pleaded for help--he felt like he was being annoying. how embarrassing.
he had opened his mouth to speak, but the only thing that came out was a yelp as he was harshly tugged down, feigning ignorance at the--probably--purposely forceful pull.
he wanted to curse out the man, emotions bursting since he felt like such a burden, but it was mostly the irritation that the man had the gall to toy with him like that--and he definitely could since Yato was in no position to step away.
the hair that went flying in his face he paid no mind to. he was used to hair being in his face-- and frankly, he doubted giving the man a reaction would make him stop his petty actions. instead, he had grabbed the hair in one hand, simply thinking,
it's soft...i'd like to style it.
he was pulled out of his thoughts as his legs were forcefully quickened, repeating the word, "wait" as they ran towards a man with a rifle. a rifle of all things, not even a hatchet, or a knife, or a hand-held weapon--a gun.
his face paled as he yelled the loudest he could while in the air, arm pulsating under the tight grip of the smaller man. once his feet staggered and landed on the ground was when his screaming stopped, however, the pale in his face did not go away. he didn't think it had ever left in the first place; starting from when his classroom had blown up, to his grovelling, to now.
his hands released the nice hair as he tried to catch his breath, letting out an "ugh" as he was thrown inside the large, abandoned building.
he panted, still trying to speak, "so you're... the Ultimate Everything??" he sat up, looking behind him and at the crimson-eyed man, "and that was Enoshima, right?! what was she doing on the roof? did you--brainwash her into going along with your 'i'm gonna destroy the whole world because i'm emotionless and a fucking jackass' plan?!"
to say he was mad would be an understatement.
the last time he saw Enoshima... was at a modeling shoot.
they were paired together in several clothes and styles and they had gotten along well(if you could call it that). she had seemed stuck up, something he despised, but it was nothing Yato couldn't adapt to. she was kind despite her spoiled nature, and welcomed him to the modeling industry despite only doing the shoot because the people practically begged his mother. she had gotten herself on his good side, that was for sure-- and she was just a normal girl, right??
so she... why wasn't she dead?
"and-- who are you? why did you help me? what are you going to do to me?"
the last question was... odd. but no one kidnaps a pretty stranger and takes them to an abandoned warehouse without gaining something.
he shuddered. hopefully the suited student wasn't going to trade him off to some wackos in the city after taking him here. but, the more he thought about it, the more he worried. so he just waited for an answer, admiring the physical features of the man standing in front of him to keep his mind off of his negative thoughts.
Izuru shot his head up to glare daggers at the boy as soon as he heard her name, immediately feeling irritated from the name alone. The irritancy only grew as he started to ramble on about his assumptions about what he had assumed been happening.
With a regretful sigh, he thought to himself as the boy frantically verbalized his feelings, ‘He has too many emotions.’
“... Enoshima Junko was not brain-washed by me,” Knowing her masochistic craving for despair, she probably would have wanted that. “And whatever plan you think I have does not exist. As well as the control of your emotions, it seems.” Despite speaking in a monotone voice, his words were sincere, frustratingly so.
Tucking the stray hairs obscuring his sight, he grunted in the same, bland tone, “It doesn’t matter who I am. And I’m not going to ‘do’ anything to you, you’re too loud.” He closed his eyes for a moment, “Unless you want Enoshima to turn you into another mindless slave for her entertainment, I suggest you start trusting me.”
Izuru took a small pause of thoughtful silence before speaking up again, “... Well, it doesn’t matter anyway. Trust me or distrust me, it doesn’t matter to me. As well as everything else in this tedious world.” He found himself sitting against the wall of the warehouse, despite his seemingly unbothered demeanour, his body had exhausted itself faster than it did his mind.
The previous owner of this body must haven’t had enough athletic activity, Izuru grimaced to himself; it was a disadvantage.

no. 32 and/or 38 please, if you're up for it :)
Tumblr media
an anon also prompted number 32, as well as number 39— so i’m going to combine yours and theirs if that’s ok zaira!!
( 50 cliché tropes and prompts !!! )
32. A soft smile before leaning in for a kiss;
38. Everyone thinks we’re already dating, but we’re just best friends- oh wait;
39. Having a bad day and the other noticing
Lucas is with le gang, laughing and hanging out— finally finished with school for the year— but his mind is elsewhere.
To: Eliott— Hey, are you alright?
Most days Eliott is like the sun, he lights up every room that he walks into. He’s affectionate and funny and wonderful and beautiful and—
But today, he seemed… off.
He had gently declined when they had asked him to come and celebrate with them, saying that he had some things at home to attend to, to prepare for his parents coming to visit.
The thing is, though— Lucas knows when Eliott’s parents are coming next, and it’s not anytime soon.
Every time Lucas tried to speak to him throughout the day, he was far slower to respond than usual, sometimes even having to ask Lucas to repeat himself.
He’s been best friends with Eliott for long enough to spot one of his bad days.
Bad days are not episodes— Lucas learned that shortly after Eliott’s diagnosis. He has his fair share of bad days, too, and Eliott doesn’t hesitate in the slightest to take care of him when he needs it. So Lucas tries his hardest to be there for Eliott in return, on days like today— at least, he expects so.
From: Eliott— I’m doing okay, just a bit tired
Lucas has heard that before. He knows that it’s not a lie when Eliott says it— but also that it’s not entirely truthful. A bit tired means a bit tired, but it also means my brain isn’t working properly today and I don’t quite know how to articulate it.
To: Eliott— You said you needed to get ready for when your parents come, is this an impromptu visit or something?
The three dots appear on screen and stay there for an entire minute. Lucas watches them the entire time
From: Eliott— No
From: Eliott— They’re not actually coming
From: Eliott— I just don’t feel up to hanging out with the boys right now but I didn’t know how to say it without sounding like an asshole
Lucas would be a bit upset at the fact that Eliott lied to him, if he didn’t go warm from being told the truth. From being the only one to know the truth, from being trusted enough for Eliott to be honest with him.
To: Eliott— Say exactly that, no one’s gonna think you’re an asshole
To: Eliott— Especially not us
To: Eliott— When you say that you don’t wanna hang out, does that mean me as well or?
Lucas’ instinct is to go to him— but he’s not going to if Eliott needs to be truly alone.
To: Eliott— Cause I want to be there for you but if you need your space then that’s ok too
From: Eliott— You never count
You never count.
He reads it over a few times.
I don’t feel up for hanging out,
But—
You don’t count.
You never count.
To: Eliott— Okay, do you want me to come over then?
From: Eliott— If you want, that would be nice
From: Eliott— Don’t feel like you have to ditch the guys for my sake though
I would leave them in a heartbeat for you, no one’s as special to me as you are, he wants to text,
And also—
To: Eliott— They’re boring anyway
From: Eliott—And I’m not?
To: Eliott— Never
And it’s true, it’s so true, Lucas is enamoured by Eliott, infatuated with him.
As horrifying as the thought is, he may even be in love with him.
So maybe he wants to go to his place, scoop him up in his arms, and hold him until he’s feeling better. Maybe he wants to press a kiss to his cheeks, to his lips, to his chest.
“Guys, I’m gonna go.” Lucas gets up off of the couch. Basile throws his arms up in defeat as Lucas walks across the TV screen.
“Aw, Lucas, things were just picking up!” Basile says, and Lucas scoffs at him.
“This is your third consecutive hour of FIFA and nothing noteworthy has happened— somehow I don’t believe that.”
“Going to help Eliott clean up?” Yann asks, and it’s innocuous enough of a question. Lucas nods.
Basile rolls his eyes, but then he gets a shit-eating grin on his face. Lucas knows what’s coming. “Oh, Eliott, of course. Lucas has gotta go help out his boyfriend.” Basile has been making jokes like this for months now. They affected Lucas quite a bit before, when he was terrified of the sheer possibility of people knowing that he was gay.
But then, Eliott— always the braver one— came out to their friends. To nothing but encouragement and acceptance, no less. It showed Lucas that he didn’t have to be afraid, not of his friends.
But he’s still not quite ready to tell them, not yet.
“Whatever, Bas.” He says indifferently. “I’ll see you guys later?”
“Yeah, totally! Tell him we say hi.” Lucas smiles at Arthur, at how caring he is, before putting his shoes on and leaving.
To: Eliott— I’m on my way
Eliott sent him a text a few minutes before he arrived, reading the door’s unlocked, and so he goes right in.
Eliott shows how he’s feeling with his body— though his face may not give away his true feelings, his posture often does. So when Lucas walks in and Eliott’s curled up on the couch, curled up in himself, Lucas can suspect how he’s feeling.
“Hey,” Lucas says, sitting down beside Eliott. The way Eliott softens— barely noticeable— when he comes close makes Lucas’ heart flutter.
“Hey.” Eliott straightens out his legs, letting them go from where he was hugging them against his chest, stretching them until the toes of his socked feet nearly brush the outside of Lucas’ thigh. They sit like that for just a moment, silent save for the ticking of the clock on the wall.
“Do you want to talk about it,” Lucas says, breaking the haze that had settled over them, “Or do you want to forget about it?” That was the offer that stood, every time one of them was down, for whatever reason. Talk about it or forget about it, and no matter what, if the latter was chosen, it had to be respected— an unspoken agreement between them that had stood as long as their friendship had.
Eliott hums, contemplating.
“Forget about it, but… Just for a little while?” Eliott’s voice is quiet but crystal clear in the quiet room. “We’ve both been so busy with exams. I’ve missed spending time with you.”
Lucas tries to ignore the feeling that he gets in his stomach when Eliott says that he’s missed him, but he can’t— not quite. He can’t quite ignore the way it feels like the floor drops out from underneath him, the way it feels sort of like he’s flying, like he’s special.
“Sure,” Lucas says, and then— “I’ve missed spending time with you, too.”
They end up watching a movie, something that they’ve already seen several times together, their thighs touching as they sit to one side of the couch. Lucas is leaning against the arm, and then— all of a sudden— Eliott is leaning against Lucas.
The action is gentle, but Lucas feels it all over his body. Warmth washes over him, and he has half a mind to pull Eliott closer. But he lets Eliott do as he likes, let him come and go as he pleases. Lucas decides on reaching an arm, gentle and hesitant, around Eliott’s shoulders. He doesn’t pull him inward, just lets his arm rest there.
The movie is most of the way through when Eliott speaks.
“I’m scared of things changing.”
“Hm?”
“The reason why I bailed today,” Eliott says, looking down at the floor. “I thought about everything changing, and now I can’t stop thinking about it.”
“Like what?”
“Everything. I’m not going to be going to the same school anymore, my parents keep talking about me going out into the ‘real world’ and I feel like I’m not ready for it” Eliott’s gone quiet, his voice a bit hollow. “I won’t get to see my friends as much, I won’t get to see you as much,” Lucas almost asks Eliott why he’s separate from the rest of his friends, why he’s different, “And I…” Eliott’s voice cracks a bit, and Lucas reaches over as he takes a breath to try and calm himself. “I don’t want to be alone, again.”
Lucas’ heart breaks, just a little.
Eliott’s told him about when he was younger, about before they had met and become friends, the isolation that he had experienced when he was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder, how he never thought he would be happy again.
And— just as Lucas had, back then— he vows to never let Eliott feel alone again.
“You may be going off to university, yes, but you’re staying in the city. We won’t be far from each other, right?” When Eliott nods, Lucas continues. “Plus, even if we were, I would never let you feel alone again. I promised, remember? I’ll be beside you for as long as you want me here.”
“Forever.” Eliott’s voice is so quiet that he may not have heard it, if he hadn’t been listening.
“Forever?” He turns so they’re facing each other, now, and they’re so close.
“Forever.” Eliott nods, his voice clearer, more sure. “I’ll never not need you.”
“Then I’ll stay here. Forever.” Lucas isn’t sure when he started leaning in— all he knows is that their noses are now nearly close enough to brush against each other. What am I doing? Lucas asks himself, but he knows, he’s known for a while, it was really just a matter of time.
“Yeah?” Eliott asks, but he knows it’s not just a response to what he said, it’s also a question of its own— are we really doing this? are you okay with this? Lucas wants to ask Eliott if he’s okay with what they’re doing, but his small smile gives the answer away. Seeing Eliott smiling gently gives Lucas the last little bit of courage that he needs.
“Yeah.” Lucas whispers, and his breath fans out against Eliott’s lips.
And then they’re kissing.
They’re kissing and Lucas uses the arm that’s still thrown gently around Eliott’s shoulders to pull him in closer, just a little, and Eliott goes willingly. Eliott’s arms snake around Lucas’ waist, and pull him in until he’s nearly in Eliott’s lap.
They pull back after a while— a minute, ten minutes, an hour, neither of them are really sure— and Eliott’s eyes are shining, they’re glowing, and Lucas smiles over at him, awestruck.
“Still scared?” Lucas asks, and Eliott laughs, light and airy.
“Not as much,” Eliott confesses, “Some changes are for the better.”

not sure if you're still accepting winter prompts but: paris and rory celebrating chanukkah together? or paris coming to celebrate the holidays in stars hollow and being overwhelmed with the community spirit and everyone's kindness
[happy holidays anon! i am indeed, still. i’m quite enjoying creating these little bits of life and all your prompts have been fun ideas, so..]
“Rory, are you sure about this?”
“We agreed on spending part of winter breaks in Stars Hollow months ago, Paris,” Rory distractedly replies, stuffing a crimson sweater in the duffel bag on the bed, “Mom has already made up the room for us and Luke has apparently been practicing making latkes and pecan rugelach.”
“But, Rory,” Paris grumbles, in a poor attempt to mask the delight making her feel all warm inside.
“Nope. We are going and that’s final,” the brunette replies in a mock severe tone before placing a small peck on Paris’ cheek.
Paris had been to Stars Hollow before, of course, on multiple occasions. She had enjoyed lazy summer days, Spring festivals and a one particular very eventful Halloween but nothing could have prepared her for Winter in the small town.
From the overly decorated gazebo, the garlands on every single possible surface, the caroling kids at every corner and christmas lights draped, well, everywhere around town.
“I swear, Rory, even the air smells like peppermint here.”
“Just wait until you try Weston’s candy cane coffee; your life will never be the same, Babe.”
“Sounds gross, if you ask me.”
“Ah!” Rory dramatically gasps, “betrayed by my own girlfriend.”
“You’ll live.” Paris replies, grabbing ahold of Rory’s hand, on the way to Luke’s.
“You bought a menorah?”
“Yes?”
“Lorelai,” Paris barely whispers, “you bought a menorah?”
“I did,” Lorelai confirms, unsurely, “wasn’t that okay? Have i overstepped?”
If Paris were a more emotional and physical person, she probably would have slipped her arms around the woman’s body and hug her tightly to show how deeply the small gesture has touched her. Paris being Paris, though, a small smile and thank you is what it comes down to. And that’s just perfect, if you ask Lorelai.
“Luke, these sufganiyot are simply delicious.”
“It’s true,” Rory agrees, taking another bite, “of course i have no terms of comparison but i trust the expert, here,” she says, pointing her thumb to the blonde sitting right next to her.
“Well,” Luke replies, trying to hide the little half smile taking over his lips, “I had to read a couple recipes before mastering the dish and i might have supplied Rabbi Barans with too many fried treats before i got his blessing.”
“Worth it,” Lorelai dismisses, proudly.
Almost a week into their staying, Rory comes home from a quick run to Doose’s to find Paris locked up in their room, thick anatomy volume in hand and pjs still on.
“Why are you still in bed? Mom is expecting us for an early lunch, soon.”
“Rory,” Paris starts saying, a grave look on her face, “I need a break.”
Freezing in her spot the other barely manages to let out a broken what?
“I really do need some alone time,” Paris replies, earnestly.
“You- you need time? I- i don’t know- I-”
Suddenly concerned, Paris asks, “why the look on your face?”
“Why the look on my face?” Rory yells, “are we having the same conversation here? Did you hear yourself?”
“I am not so sure anymore,” Paris replies, standing from the bad to approach her girlfriend.
“You need a break.”
“Well, yeah. There’s just so much cinnamon spice and everything nice that i can handle, at once. We’ve been here for days and, believe me, i love your mother and Luke and even Kirk and Miss Patty are slowly growing on me but if i have to attend another winter recital, eat one more of Babette’s special cookies or have the nth religious discussion with the town’s Reverend and Rabbi i’m gonna expatriate to Guam.”
“You are so not getting any presents, this year. I fucking promise you, Geller.” Rory states, grumbling her way out of the room.
“What did i do, now?” Paris asks, confused.
“Maybe you should have started with, i don’t know, hey honey i think i’d like some time away, just you and i, from the town’s celebrations because it’s getting a tad overwhelming rather than giving me a fucking stroke.”
---
Luckily, Paris has many ways to make it up to her girlfriend and enjoy the much needed one on one alone time.
She also did get presents, after all.

helloo! how was your day milady? its always a pleasure reading your replies too! <333 and i hope you'll enjoy your hiatus :))
also idk i just find parrots rly pretty, and the way the supposedly repeat stuff you say is rly endearing too djhdjfhfb in all honesty, im pretty new to the whole baking thing, but i love making cookies :D they always smell so lovely djfjdjdj i'd love to explore and make more stuff!
you do digital drawing? :o id love to see something! only if you're comfortable sharing though ofc <3
mmm i haven't watched alot of tv shows really tbh. my favourite and the only one im invested in atm is friends, ive watched alittle of modern family and how i met your mother, but that's pretty much it ig jdndjdj
as for movies, i love the greatest showman! it hits a bit too close to home but i always love the goosebumps i get whenever i watch it :) next would be thor ragnorok, which ive mentioned before djjdjs but its just really funny and love it sm, and it was loki's turning point so bonus marks. black widow is also a new favourite <333 though i felt terrible when they were being tortured as kids, but it really showed a new perspective on natasha and her past. i also really like the notebook! everything was so sweet it rly nearly brought me to tears jsbdjdjjsh and finally the shawshank redemption! it was something i didn't rly think i would like, but i was really pleasantly surprised lmao. everything was pretty depressing but it also kinda blew my mind away :D
for songs, my no.1 song rn is nct dream's irreplaceable, idk why exactly but i love that song. i also have a thing for songs that are similar genres to baekhyun's un village, nct jaehyun's try again and jungkook's still with you, so those are three more though im not really sure if they're really the same genre anyways and its been almost a year now and i still cant get over how nct 127's boom makes me feel 💕
hmm for fics, i dont really remember everything i read, but i absolutely loved your ceo cheol fic 🥺 it was so cute and the way reader and cheol work perfectly together T-T most of the time fics like these consist of cold bosses who only show a little warmth to the reader, but cheol was so sweet throughout everything it just made everything so much more adorable and endearing. i really really loved it :'D <333
what are your top 5 of these? and also for the next question, have you ever
been to a concert?
sneaked out from your house?
gone through a one direction and/or bts phase?
had a crush?
had a pet?
performed in front of a crowd?
read a book/fic that you love so much you still think of it occasionally? (yes im asking for recs)

milady?? heh you sound like chat noir from miraculous ladybug (my guilty non guilty pleasure show) i was thinking carefully about these answers thats why it took so long!! i'm going to go to bed after this is posted hehe this is gonna be a long reply so take all the time you need to answer pfft- my day has been lovely thanks to this ask by the way!!
yeah i'd love to show you something!! there were a couple burried in my rambling tags but when we're allowed to turn off anon i'd love to show you!! do you have discord btw?? it might be easier to talk on there afterwards!!
ooh how i met your mother is probably my favourite sitcom!! maybe that and b99. its pretty long and the ending was erm...not good imo but i still think the long length was worth finishing!!
the movies you picked are lovely anon!! i am also a fan of the greatest showman since i am also a big fan of musicals!! it was pretty fast paced but overall the grandeur and visuals of it stunned me and the sountrack is amazing!! i haven't watched black widow but hopefully soon!! and i dont usually watch a lot of western films but i really want to check out the notebook as well!!
ahh your music taste is also exquisite!! so im guessing you're more into like soft pop/rnb kinds of songs!! i definitely listen to baekhyun's music before sleeping since his vocals really suit soothing songs. i really need to check out more of nct's music - hello future was really good!!
OMG ANON YOU READ MY CHEOL FIC??? i was so unsure about that one but it makes my heart squeeze that you read all of it and liked it :'D
okie so my top 5 (no particular order) i'm probably forgetting a few
tv shows - 1. HUGE atla fan!! i even liked legend of korra even though some poeple didn't 2. how i met your mother 3. horimiya 4. extraordinary you 5. yona of the dawn
movies - 1. your name 2. big hero 6 3. tangled 4. weathering with you 5. from up on poppy hill - literally any ghibli i've watched

sneaked out from your house? NEVER i've sneaked people into my house...
gone through a one direction and/or bts phase? I HAVE! bts but it was only for like a month before i fell in love with 13 men...

had a pet? I HAVE!! multiple fishes...rip
performed in front of a crowd? I HAVE!! i've played the drums during school concerts and during a competition a few years back!!
read a book/fic that you love so much you still think of it occasionally?
for this last one i'm going to tie it in into my top 5 fics of all time!! (with mini reviews!!) i should make a masterlist of my recs honestly - when i compile all of my favourites i think that's when i've be brave enough to tag the writers fjdshfdkj
out of touch, out of time by @/by-moonflower // i read this months ago and my heart literally still sinks whenever it even crosses my mind. i don't think i've ever been so emotionally impacted by a fic before and this is my go to rec for anyone who wants to FEEL something. i don't wanna go in depth as to spoil it, so i'll just leave it at that for now.
outlasting the universe by @/by-moonflower // you know what i'm just gonna link their entire masterlist because all of their works (even the short drabbles) are just literary masterpieces. the way they write makes you feel so alive?? and everything just speaks for itself and is so authentic. they make you feel like you're wandering amidst a ghibli film, periof. authentic is the best word i can use to describe their work and this fic is just the definition of beautiful.
bluff and nonsense by @/thepixelelf // THIS FIC. it's my go to rec overall. it was so memorable had such good flow and just genuinely so genuine?? i have no other words to describe it, it's just so ,,, lovely. the plot takes you on a journey and it's woven together so seamlessly.
in a span of three months by @/viastro // i won't be surpprised if you've read this one already because this author is a true staple in the carat writing community and honestly all of their works are simple timeless. this one really hit the mark for the me the most though and i finished it all in one sitting.
wish by @chocosvt // goodness i'm a fan of hoshi fics aren't i? this one was also really memorable for me and i have read it several times!! friends to lovers but they really made the trope their own and added lots of twists and tadbits that gave it so much charm!! i would also rec this as a starter fic for svt :))
phew thank you for reading all of that anon, i really appreicate you taking the time to write such love responses and questions. now i'd like to know your answers for the same questions ,,, have you ever:
been to a concert?

prompt: yuuri, yuri, and Viktor are shopping or something; someone flirts w/ yuuri, Viktor is jealous, yuri is rolling his eyes because "Viktor you're jealous and it's pathetic okay"
Pins & Coffee
length: 1.8k; rating: all ages
@anon how dare u leave me a prompt involving jealous!Victor when I am supposed to be studying (jk tyvm)
Read more of my fics here or leave me a prompt here!
“People actually buy these things?” Yurio sneers as he shifts through the small pile of pins by the checkout. “What are you even supposed to do with pins?”
“Pin things,” Victor answers simply.
He rolls his eyes. “Duh, but pin them to what? Like, clothes? I wouldn’t put anyof these on my clothes.”
Yuuri shifts his weight from one foot to the other. “I own pins.”
“Of course you do,” Yurio scoffs. He squints at the line in front of them. “How long is this gonna take? And why are there so many people here?”
“I’m not sure,” Victor notes. “Why don’t you wait in line while Yuuri and I keep shopping? Here’s some cash.”
“What?” Yurio asks, as Victor shoves the stacks of clothes and money into his arms and walks away. He glances over his shoulder at Yuuri, who glances between them, conflicted, before hurrying after Victor. “You two are not leaving me here.” He frowns at the person in front of him in line, then the person behind him. “Victor, come back here right now or I swear.”
“That was mean,” Yuuri says as he catches up to Victor, looking back at Yurio, who is fuming, the clothes piled up to his neck.
Victor shrugs. “He’ll get over it. Besides, we have a lot more shopping to do. I need more jeans. And Mila asked me to pick her up… Some sort of perfume.” He pulls a piece of paper out of his pocket and squints at the print. “Can you read this?”
Yuuri stands on the balls of his feet to try and get a better look. “Um, no, I can’t.”
“Well, I’ll text her,” he sighs. “But she said it’s at a store on the lower level, so let’s go.”
“What about Yurio?”
Victor shrugs. “He’ll be in line for a while. And we’ll text him, too.”
They get on the escalator, Yuuri leaning against the railing as they descend towards the lower level of the mall. They’re each holding several bags, and Victor wonders if Yuuri’s arms are starting to get tired. “It’s this way,” he says.
He turns a corner, and Yuuri turns too, except there’s a loud slam. Victor turns around to see Yuuri on the ground, the bags spilled in front of him and a man kneeling down, mumbling quick apologies in Russian and helping him gather his fallen items. And Yuuri gets up slowly, rubbing at his forehead, and then his eyes meet the man’s.
And they stare for a second.
And Victor hurries over.
“Are you okay?” Victor asks him.
Yuuri nods. “I’m fine.”
“You speak English?” the Russian man asks.
(Of course this man happens to speak English, Victor thinks.)
“Yeah,” Yuuri replies, offering a smile.
“I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking.” He finishes piling Yuuri’s items back into his bags and picks them up for him by the handles. And he has muscular arms. Victor will admit that. But only from an objective perspective, of course. It’s not as though he’s attractive.
“No, no, I wasn’t looking,” Yuuri insists. He adds a thanks as he takes the bags.
“Let me buy you coffee,” the man says. Then he glances at Victor, as if, perchance, remembering his existence. “Both of you.”
Yuuri blushes and ducks his heads. “Oh, you really don’t have to.”
“You really don’t have to,” Victor agrees, licking his lips. He takes a step closer to Yuuri. Because this man’s intentions are becoming obvious. And the way his eyes lock onto Yuuri is becoming obvious. And as childish as it may seem, Victor doesn’t like it.
“I insist,” the stranger adds. “There’s a place right over here.”
Yuuri glances at Victor, then shrugs. “Okay, if you’re sure.”
Victor hates Yuuri’s kindness.
(No, he loves Yuuri’s kindness. He just happens to hate it in this very moment.)
The man buys them coffee. He starts talking to Yuuri. Yuuri talks back to him. And they’re laughing. “Did you hear that, Victor?” Yuuri asks him, a hint of concern in his eyes, which makes sense, probably, because Victor hasn’t heard a single word in the past three minutes.
“No, what is it?”
“Nothing,” Yuuri dismisses.
And the man is smiling at him.
Like they’re friends or something ridiculous like that.
(Yuuri is friendly, of course he’s friendly. But he’s also attractive. And sometimes friendliness and attractiveness can be a dangerous duo.)
“You two ditched me,” Yurio says as he walks up to them, shopping bags piled high. “And who’s this?”
“We bumped into each other in the mall, he offered to buy us coffee,” Yuuri explains. “Oh, I didn’t actually catch your name…”
“Alexei,” he answers, smiling. “And you’re…?”
“Yuuri.”
“Yuuri, that’s a nice name.”
Yuuri blushes.
(Victor hates it.)
(Because he has made Yuuri blush before on several occasions, and he prides himself on that. Because Yuuri looks unbelievably endearing when he blushes, and he ducks his head just like that, and sometimes he’ll touch his hair—yes, just like that. Except it’s not for Victor this time. Which is annoying. And unfair. Unfair for several reasons that he can’t think of right now, but that he is absolutely sure are present.)
“Your… Your name is nice too,” Yuuri tells him shyly.
Victor sees Yurio glance down at his phone and type out something. Then he feels his own phone buzz in his back pocket.
You’re pathetic.
He glares at Yurio and texts back. What?
Yurio doesn’t respond, just sits down at their table, setting his bags on the floor beside the chair. And then Alexei is asking Yuuri about something, and Yuuri tugs on the collar of his shirt, licking his lips as he stares at the table. Victor sees Alexei’s gaze lock onto the action and curses internally. He takes his phone back out and texts Yurio again. Do something.
Yurio raises an eyebrow at him from across the table. Yuuri and Alexei are too invested in their own conversation to notice either of them. And Yuuri doesn’t normally do well with strangers. Which is making this worse. Because this means that Alexei is quickly becoming more than a stranger. After all, they’re already on a first name basis. Why don’t they just get married? Oh, right, because Yuuri is engaged to Victor. To Victor. Victor begins coming up with a list of casual ways he could introduce their engagement to the conversation.
Would you pay me? Yurio asks.
Fine.
Say please.
Please.
Yurio clears his throat. “I want to go home. Victor, take me home.”
Victor smiles internally, but sighs externally. “So early?” He laces his tone with fake disappointment.
“We need to get Mila’s perfume,” Yuuri points out.
“Then let’s get the perfume and leave,” Yurio says.
Yuuri smiles at Alexei. “It was nice meeting you.”
“It was nice meeting you too,” he says. “Would you… Do you have a phone?”
He nods. Takes it out of his pocket.
Victor can’t believe his eyes.
(Can’t believe them.)
Because Yuuri is giving his phone number to this man.
His fiancé, giving away his phone number.
No.
(No, no.)
(This can’t be happening.)
“We’ll have to keep in touch,” Alexei says, smiling brightly.
(Because who wouldn’t be smiling after receiving Yuuri’s phone number?)
Victor wants to wipe that smile off of his face as quickly as possible.
He takes Yuuri’s hand.
Laces their fingers.
Yuuri glances at him, surprised, lips parting.
Alexei looks surprised, too, and so does Yurio.
“Let’s go,” Victor says, smiling at Alexei. “Nice to meet you.”
Victor lets go of his hand a moment later, when they’re back in the crowded mall. He doesn’t want to, but he does. Yuuri still looks adorably confused, though, eyebrow shooting up towards his hairline. “What was that about?”
Yurio snickers. “I wonder.”
“What was what about?” Victor asks innocently.
Yuuri doesn’t answer, just enters the store and starts glancing around. “Did Mila text you back about the perfume?”
Before Victor can reply, Yuuri’s phone buzzes, and he takes it out of his pocket, smiling at the screen and typing something.
(Smiling at the screen.)
(Smiling.)
“Who are you texting?” Victor wonders. It’s a casual inquiry. Very casual. Just a question. An innocent question. Not weird in the slightest, no.
Yuuri glances up. “Oh, what?”
“Who… Who were you texting, just now?”
Yurio is face palming, out of Yuuri’s sight.
“Phichit,” Yuuri says. “He was just asking me to help him decide on an outfit.”
“Oh.”
“Oh?” he asks.
“Just… That’s… Well, did you help him?”
Yuuri nods slowly. “Um, yes.”
“That’s… Nice of you.”
Yurio interrupts, “Here’s Mila’s perfume. I know because it smells bad.”
They buy the perfume, then they’re walking towards the car. Yuuri is texting someone again. “Phichit, still?” Victor asks.
“No, Alexei just said hi. Just so that I’d have his number, too.”
“Right. So that you have his number too,” Victor repeats slowly. “That makes sense.”
Yuuri licks his lips. “You’ve been… You’re acting weird.”
“Am I? I didn’t notice.”
“Okay, both of you, stop walking.” Yurio blurts. “Victor is jealous that you gave that guy your number because he’s dumb, and you didn’t notice because you’re dumb. There. Better? Can we all act normal again?”
Yuuri gapes. “You were jealous? Why?”
Victor rubs the back of his neck. “I wouldn’t use the word jealous… I just…”
“He was jealous,” Yurio confirms before hurrying towards the car and getting in shotgun. Yuuri and Victor remain in the parking lot.
“I… He looked at you. A lot,” Victor explains lamely.
Yuuri bites the inside of his cheek. “He was just being friendly.”
He laughs, but it’s humorless. “No… Yuuri, he was flirting. You’re just too nice to notice.”
“I don’t… Really?”
Victor nods. “Really.”
“Well, I wasn’t interested in him, anyway,” Yuuri says, shrugging. “I’m interested in someone else.”
“Oh.”
“You sound surprised.”
“I just…”
“I do have a fiancé, you know.”
Victor stares.
Stares.
(For a while, probably.)
(His mouth is open, probably. His eyes are wide, probably. He looks like an idiot, probably.)
But he doesn’t care. Can’t bring himself to care.
“You’re saying…?”
Yuuri rolls his eyes and takes his hand, lacing their fingers once again. “Yes, I’m saying that I’m not going to cheat on my fiancé. Is that really so shocking?”
“But that’s implying that we’re… That…”
“That we’re together?” Yuuri suggests. “You didn’t think we were?”
“I wasn’t sure what you thought,” Victor points out. “I thought we were. I didn’t know if you thought the same.”
“Well I do,” he assures him. “So no need to be jealous, okay?”
Victor glances down at their joint hands.
Yurio sticks his head out of the car window. “How long is this going to take? Can’t you two just kiss already and get it over with?”
Yuuri does that blush thing again. Except it’s with Victor, this time, and it feels twice as good, makes his heart skip a beat. “Should we?” Victor suggests.
“Kiss?” Yuuri asks, surprised. “I mean, if you—”
(Victor kisses him.)
(Soft, warm, inviting.)
