What do you think your first ever special interest was? And if you can and want to, please info dump about it.
Infodumping you say? Oh, I’ll give you info dumping(this wasn’t supposed to be long HELP-)
(this is just a lot of artwork and text of me talking about Five Nights at Freddy’s. Don’t follow me for Five Nights at Freddy’s content, I don’t draw FNAF content anymore, maybe one day but not now, sorry)
So a lot of my hyperfixations double as special interests, the first one being no different. I’ve had fixations before, but none of them hit me quite like the horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s.
I know it goes back to 1st grade because I recall working on a project in 1st grade with this other kid who liked FNAF, and I remember very well that he told me that Golden Freddy couldn’t speak because he ate a guy and… the guy got wedged in his throat apparently??
Despite the obsession starting in 1st grade, I didn’t start drawing FNAF until 2nd grade. I have art from 2nd grade but I don’t know where it is, so the best thing I can give you is this one piece of art from 3rd grade,
And this art from 4th and 5th.
I also started a comic series in 4th grade called Foxy Fox.
I went under the pen name “Foxy Fox”, and Foxy was altered in the story to not be a pirate and to be female. Basically, I unknowingly made a Foxy kinsona. They started as QnAs, but then got an actual story of their own after book 6. There are 12 books in the main series, and around 10 side stories. I stopped writing them sometime last year because nobody was reading them anymore. I mean, nobody had been reading them ever since 6th grade, but for some reason I didn’t stop until 8th. To be fair, I was heavily obsessed, but I eventually ran out of motivation when nobody was there to read them.
I think what intrigued me so much was the whole deal with them wanting revenge on William. I have this thing where I love “character does something wrong, regrets it, victims get revenge” and also I loved woobifying villains… uhhh William was very woobified, it was really bad lol
To give you a rundown of the main idea of Foxy Fox, in the 4th book they find an unconscious yellow rabbit animatronic and they’re like “oh neat new friend” and then later he wakes up and kind of freaks out for a second but then he’s like “oh you guys are chill I’m Springtrap btw lol” and then Goldie sees him and is like “I LEFT YOU FOR DEAD WHAT-“ (except super quietly under his breath so only the audience can hear… I wanted to make it subtle that Springtrap was William, but I did not make it subtle) so basically, the whole thing was it was Springtrap becoming part of the gang with only Goldie knowing, and Goldie wasn’t telling because he knew it would hurt Springtrap more if he grew attached to everyone as friends only for Goldie to tell everyone.
And apparently this stupid plot gave me 6 years of obsession… damn.
I may be good at writing a lot, but I am not good at making a closing sentence, so… I’ll just dump a bit more art down here lol
(all of this is from the two newest books, and like a part of the plot was that there was RWQFSFASXC and Shadow Freddy, but there was also Shadow Foxy and Shadow Chica(both female) and the Shadows were like the bad guys, and the two most recent books have just been the Shadows fighting with the main gang, consisting of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Goldie, Mangle, Marionette, and their newest addition— Springtrap. There’s a reason why they’re fighting but all you have to know is that they’re fighting in order to understand the art I’m going to dump.)
Ok bye bye now @:3

Willam:
Pretty sfw (a few hints):
Fucking loves the shit out of you.
You're so soft and he loves to just hold you from behind.
Will make you be his little housewife (duh because it's Willy) but while you're doing dishes he will come behind and just hug you, kissing up your neck and to your ears and telling you how beautiful you are.
Traces on your skin with his fingers.
Weirdly enough will squish your face
If you decide to have kids he loveees how your soft stomach holds his seed. (COUGH-*)
Will compliment you endlessly, and if you ever say no, or ew, he will tease you and pester you until your forced to agree.
Buys you tons of fancy dresses and outfits to show you off.
Especially likes to buy custom fit funtime clothing (if you know what I mean)
Gets mad if people stare. But he never loses his cool, just makes subtle comments and rants about it later.
Draws you. (That's a headcannon for another time, but I believe William is a hardcore artist as well) and so he draws you all the time.
If you like to eat, he might feed you if you let him. And if you have issues eating he might just feed you if you like it or not.
NSFW:
grips your rolls when he fucks you.
Likes to slap your tummy.
And if you have a big butt (or really any butt at all lol) he will grab that and smack it as well.
Will cum on your stomach.
Praise kink GALORE!!!!!
If you have chubby thighs... The man might just pass out.
He loves thick thighs-
I'm talking thigh high socks.
Rubbing himself in-between them.
Man is rancid.
Overall the guy is head over heels for you no matter how you look. He's a simp.
Springtrap:
Sfw:
loves it but would never tell you.
Secretly sends you nice outfits to wear to work, but you always wear the same stupid uniform.
He tries to hint at you being able to wear normal clothes since it's the night shift but you never listen.
Sometimes you guys sit in the office and you always somehow end up in his lap. It doesn't matter how big you are, the suit is always bigger.
Squishes you so much it annoys you.
And you always tell him but he continues because he knows it bothers you.
Sometimes it is an ass and makes a few mean Comments but only in a teasing way.
Wishes he could be back to his old self so he could wife you up.
Stalks you. Literally he is so creepy.
Got a burner phone just to text you from Fazbear frights.
Feeds you just like William would.
Would break any other worker's arms if he heard them talking about how you look.
Deep down wants to tell you how beautiful you are.
NSFW:
Avid fat girl porn watcher.
Like he loves his bbw
Imagines you spread wide for him.
Can't fuck you cause of the suit, but can lick you with a tounge and can also use his fingers.
Loves to watch your chub jiggle as he fingers you, or eats you out.
Ties you up so he can see your rolls poke between the rope.
Might just let one little comment slip about how hot you look.
Definitely took stalker shower pics of you and masterbates to it later.

Ok so in the story about Matt you said Lefty found Spring Jr is it ok if we get a short story about Lefty finding them and everyone reaction's to the bab
“You're a strange little creature...”
Lefty was trying to prompt a response from the little Bunny he found, the Bunny in a sense reminded him of SpringBonnie, but with more greenish fur and silver eyes, it also was the size of an infant.
It also was covered by blood and it smelt weird.
The smell reminded Lefty of a dead body.
Having a sensitive nose, he easily sniffed the odour and saw the little guy across the road, wandering without purpose, Lefty quickly realised it didn’t just look like a kid sized SpringBonnie.
It acted like one.
Not being aware of road surroundings.
Lefty had a sneaking suspicion it smelt like Fazbear Entertainment's brand of supernatural bullshit, and being a kid too, so he followed the kid, trying to lure it out of the street and into the house, worried a human would see it and immediately call the police, or worse the little one could get run over by a car.
He had to bribe in the end, retrieving a bag of Candy, he was thankful Halloween wasn’t so long ago, so he was able to get out the leftover sweets and used them to draw the kid inside.
Once inside, Lefty locked the door, trapping the kid, but he— well Lefty assumed it was a male, if it had a gender— didn’t seem too worried and actually looked at Lefty like he expected more food, probably haven’t eaten in while, so Lefty was happy to offer food.
He wouldn’t live with the smell however, Lefty didn’t realise how bad it was until later, when he felt queasy and realised he couldn’t focus on washing the dishes.
So he geared himself up, getting rubber gloves, the custom gas mask he wore to block out smells, which covered his nose, mouth and lenses over his eyes, and he approached the child, almost like it was ticking time bomb to defuse.
He didn’t put up a fight to being lifted up and taken upstairs.
He didn’t even fight when he saw Lefty fill the bath.
In fact he looked curious.
Lefty wondered if he had never seen water before.
Regardless, he didn’t know where it came from, but he treated it like a child since it had obviously child behaviours.
Now Lefty was washing him in the bath, the water wasn’t deep, and Lefty was holding one hand to hold him while using the other to scrub around.
Lefty already emptied the water once because it turned red within two minutes.
Now Lefty was washing out the lotion he used to clean the skin of the sticky residue, wondering what it even was, he thought it looked like a bodily fluid but he wasn’t sure and didn’t dwell on it.
The bunny seem to enjoy the bath, trying to splash in the water, even trying to eat the bubbles that formed.
Lefty tried to think of where this thing came from, reasoning this thing didn’t appear to be something that was built.
But rather born.
And that should be impossible, as Lefty knew, they can’t reproduce.
But this thing could be a parasite... and if that's the case... I’m obligated to destroy it.
The bunny didn’t look bad in the slightest.
No one is born good or evil, he knew that, I'll search for whoever made you... but it's best if you live with me... living on the streets is not only dirty but dangerous.
With that decided, Lefty took him out of the bath, he brought out a towel and wrapped him up, debating where he could possibly sleep.
“So what is it?”
Breakfast was quite a spectacle for all, aside from the fact Lefty made French Toast
Lefty had set down Spring Jr, as he named him, on the sofa, he had obtained a spoon that he was using like a pacifier, much to Lefty's annoyance.
Lefty grabbed the handle, trying to pull it out of his mouth, while the kids watched him playing tug of war with a little bunny.
“I don’t know... I found it... I feel like it has Fazbear Entertainment written all over it...” Lefty answered.
“God, I’m sick of bull...” Alec huffed.
He knew they were all sick of the nonsense, considering everything that happened, like curses, killer animatronics, body swapping, possession, and sentient robots.
“I am honestly too... I’ve been debating...”
“Debating what?” Greg asked.
“Technically... I can quit... when we were made, Henry actually got us our own power of attorney in a nutshell.”
“You have a lawyer?” Millie questioned, surprised by the fact.
“All of us do, so Fazbear Entertainment can’t legally make us do anything we don’t want to... and I think it annoys them a lot... the only thing is... where would I get a job somewhere else? I mean it would be a pain but I could work somewhere else, it'd take a lot of effort, I think they pay us so we aren’t tempted to leave...”
“You can open your own restaurant,” Alec said, Lefty couldn’t tell if he was joking, “Seriously, you're a great cook and you are very patient.”
“I don’t know about it... but back to this... I'm going to sneak around the Archives... this is what I'd like you to do... watch this Bunny.”
“Well it seems calm... aside from the fixation on the spoon...” Oscar added.
“I might need to find something better for it to chew on, like a soft toy...”
“A tennis ball,” Greg immediately said, sounding serious.
Lefty laughed for a second, “How about no for now...” He finally pulled the drool covered spoon out of his mouth.
Lefty brought some stuff back and was studying it, he was reading some “confidential” documents, to which he found laughable how easy it was to take without getting caught, seriously he once got inside houses that were more secure than that building, all he needed was to break the keypad out of the wall and connect the fuse to unlock the door.
He was sitting on the sofa, Spring Jr was at his side, he had found something new to chew on— the spatula, which wasn’t bad since Lefty didn’t have to use it for anything at the moment, Lefty had made dinner and everyone went to do their own things at this time. Alec was sitting next to him, using the TV to play a game, Lefty was sort of interested, Alec said the game was called “A Hat in Time”.
Lefty shifted though the forbidden knowledge, stopping when he saw something, he read it a few times before confirming something he didn’t know.
Fazbear Entertainment had made a game in the works.
A game called Springtrap's Revenge.
It sounded like it was based off William Afton, which Lefty thought was tasteless, considering everything that happened.
He knew the history and it could take hours trying to put it into a correct timeline, the basics were that an unknown of kids had been murdered, Lefty knew the most about the original six, but they were more he kept learning about, Ennard, an incomplete prototype was possessed by a child Lefty had no idea existed, as the kid had a bad foster family and he was never confirmed to be dead until recently.
It sicken Lefty, considering now he had kids, true they were older than all of William normal victims, but Lefty considered himself a fiercely protective parent, and he had actually gone against people who threaten his kids, nothing violent, enough to teach them a lesson.
Lefty's phone lit up, as a message came in, Lefty thought it might be Fetch asking for treats but saw Mr Emily instead and immediately looked at it.
“Plan was success, we aren’t associated with Fazbear Entertainment anymore.”
Lefty smiled, he waited for this day, as did everyone.
Now they could hopefully stay to pull away from the tragedies and evil.
The foundation was corrupt.
But the future was bright.
Considering Lefty had a family now too.
He stopped working and watched Alec playing his game, he wasn’t one for video games, but having a teenager who was kind of obsessed with games (Alec did still study and did chores), Lefty got interested in the games, as a result, he had actually made good memories being a second player with Alec, laughing and smiling.
“We still have to find out where you came from...” Lefty muttered looking at Spring JR.
He then watched Alec for a few minutes before saying, “So you collect like little hourglasses in this game?”
“Yes.”
Pause.
“I might get some ice cream, you want some?”
“Yes, please.”
“Daddy?”
“What?”
“Is it calling you Daddy?”
“No... it's looking outside and saying Daddy... like he lost his father or something...”
Pete and Chuck were watching Spring JR along with Lefty.
“I think it's creepy...”
“I have to wonder... who does this thing see as its Daddy?” Lefty muttered, “Regardless... I'll try my best with it... I need to find out what Springtrap's Revenge might be...”

This drawing is a few weeks old, but I didn't want to post it until I finished the drabble. It's been a few years since I've written anything, so I'm a little rusty. Anyway, enjoy~.
Every floorboard creaked and groaned. What was once the front door wouldn't even budge. The darkness seemed all-encompassing – ever closing in. This wasn't where David Baker had gone to sleep early that night. At least, he believed it was the same night. But he did know for sure he had fallen asleep in his own bed – not surrounded by balloons and the empty smiling faces of the animatronics at Freddy Fazbear's pizza. Well, the posters anyway. The animatronics themselves were missing. Completely missing. At first, the believed it was a dream. He'd been working hard to find the missing kids. All of them. He was just a private detective – hired by one of the families. But it made him wonder if he had conjured up this place due to the case. Even though the pizzeria itself had closed not too long ago. He shuffled back to the entrance way and pushed against the doors, but they didn't budge. There wasn't even a sound. Outside, it was so pitch black he couldn't see streetlights or even the moon. It was... chilling. There was just nothing there. Finally, he turned away, venturing back into the showroom. He'd been here before. Seen the animatronics on stage. Though, he really only knew Freddy's name. The couple times he'd visited to speak to the owner, he'd taken a quick look at them up on the stage, but he never bothered to figure out all the characters names or their appeal to children. Even Freddy didn't stand out that much. He knew they all had the same rosy cheeks and they supposedly had facial recognition software, but that's as far as it went. Yet, with the place empty, it felt strange – lonely almost. David reached into his pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. Tapping the pack against his palm, he grabbed the cigarette that slid out the most and pulled it to his lips. He then began checking his multiple pockets for a lighter. That's when a sound caught his attention and he froze – staring off into the darkness. It sounded like a soft clicking noise. Like one would hear when using the muscles of the tongue to bounce off the roof of their mouth. “Who's there?” David asked, turning to try and find the source of the noise. Only to be met with silence. After a few moments of waiting, he decided he conjured up the noise. However, that didn't stop him from looking around – just to make sure. As he moved around, checking rooms he'd checked already – all he was met with was darkness and even darker shadows – and that same eerie silence. To say he was unsettled was an understatement. He wanted to wake up. Light flickering in his peripheral vision caught his attention and his head turned towards the hallway. Quickly leaving the showroom, he passed the bathrooms and into the hallway. A single light from what he assumed was the security office flickered on and off with increasing intensity. But, as far as he could tell, no one was actually in there. Slowly he moved forward, completely cautious in his movements. As he moved, he took a moment to look into each party room – all empty. Strangely, the tables were all on the ceiling, rather than on the floor. Which definitely told him this was a dream. He had to be asleep. There was no other answer that made sense. The light turned off for an extended period of time as he reached the last of the party rooms. His head snapped back towards the security office and he stilled. Just as he was about to call out again, he heard a girlish giggle in the darkness. Like a young child. The light flicked back on, a deep red in color. The hallway was covered in blood splatter – wet and new, dripping down walls into the puddles on the floor. The metallic smell wafted through the air and assaulted his senses. He covered the lower part of his face with his elbow. But it did nothing to block out the smell of rot and decay. Another giggle. This time directly in front of him. He tore his gaze away from the walls and glanced down. A young girl stood there, with long dark curls and a ripped purple bow in her hair. She wore a black dress – darker than soot. He felt a knot twist in the pit of his stomach and his blood run cold as he gazed upon her face. Her eyes were empty sockets dripping a black liquid, and her smile was from ear to ear – as if carved into her flesh. He didn't recognize her face – she looked nothing like any of the missing children. “What's wrong?” She asked, her jaw flopping almost freely as if it was barely connected to her face. “Are you scared?” It took him a moment to realize he was. He was terrified. But the overwhelming smell of the hallway made him gag and he found answering wasn't possible. She giggled again, “It's okay. I can smell it – taste it even. You can keep silent.” For now, anyway. She wanted to talk after all. Well, she was probably the wrong term. He picked a form unassuming but still scary enough. David choked and gagged and she waited. If this form had eyes, maybe he'd have rolled them. Finally, she clapped her hands and the blood cleared up – the smell along with it. “What are you?” David finally asked when he finally stopped gagging. One of his hands moved for a cross that normally hung around his neck. Only, it was missing. “Normally, I would say something along the lines of being your worst nightmare.” She said with another giggle. “But that implies you're asleep and you're very awake right now.” She paused, moving slightly. However, oddly, when she moved, the building itself seemed to quake and rumble. “Welcome to the Labyrinth, Mr. Detective.” David's face scrunched up in confusion. “The Labyrinth?” He asked. This wasn't making any sense. Despite what she said, he was still very sure he was asleep and this was a nightmare. She looked like something out of a horror movie anyway. “It's exactly as it sounds. A giant maze with many twists and turns – ever building and expanding. There are all sorts of little doors if you know where to look.” She paused, a black fluid beginning to bubble from her lips. She shifted her weight closer, and the building trembled so hard that David almost lost his balance. He reached, again, for his cross – his already pale face beginning to drain of color. He backed away as he started to mumble out the first bible verse he could think of. The girl's empty eye sockets narrowed, and David found himself lifted into the air by an unseen force before he crashed into a wall – hard. There was a loud crack, and he was sure he'd been severely injured. Now at the end of the hall, he slowly pulled himself into a crouching position. The girl hasn't moved, now expressionless. Slowly he looked above her, with a nagging feeling deep in the pit of his stomach. Glowing gray eyes watched him from the shadows, nearly touching the ceiling. The girl slowly dissipated, and a huge clawed hand gripped the floor. “Your god has no power here, Detective.” It hissed, voice deep and gravelly. Yet, instead of sounding malicious, he sounded amused. As if someone has told him a rather silly joke. The lights flickered back on, and David let out a rather fearful gasp – his muscles stiffening. A giant rabbit crouched at the other end of the hall, large clawed feet digging into the floor – his one massive has curled and he could hear the floor crack and pop. His face seemed to be permanently smiling, large and sharp teeth curved into a grin. David felt rather small in comparison – like a child. It looked more demonic than the little girl had – but there was something recognizable in him. He was an animatronic, just like the ones on stage. Sure he was massive in comparison, but the resemblance was there. Only, he had to wonder as to why someone would build such a robot. The creature chuckled, though quiet, it seemed to come directly from the pit of his stomach. “No one built me.” He replied as if reading David's mind. David tensed up, beginning to look sick. “David, we need to talk. You're here for a reason.” “W-what do you want from me?” It couldn't be good, that was for sure. The being shook his head, moving from a crouched position. It started to walk down the hall and David clamored to get his back up against the wall – his heartbeat thumping wildly. The building shook with each slow step it took until he stopped within arm's length of David. “It's not what I want from you, Detective. But what you want from me.” He chuckled again, his head tilting to get a better look at David. He then crouched again, lower, until they were at eye level with each other. From here, David could really get the details of his face – every crevice and hole. His teeth looked very dangerous. It wouldn't take much for him to kill David right then and there. “What I want? That doesn't-” “It does make sense.” He cut David off before he could finish. One of his arms moved, and he gently – surprisingly, got his claws in between the wall and David, pulling him away from the wall as if he was fragile. Perhaps, in comparison, he was. He still had no doubt the being could break him in half. “Who are you?” David asked again, after a moment of silence. “What are you?” How could this creature just read his mind like that? Was he a demon? Or something else. “You do not recognize me?” He asked. One of his ears curled forward. “I am truly disappointed. It should be in the small details no?” He posed the question as if David should be able to figure it out. His grin dropped, but only slightly. Then again, it'd been a long time. Perhaps David would not recall his better half or the diner. The fear in David only escalated, and the being ate it down like fine cuisine. David racked his brain, trying hard to answer the question. The silence stretched between them before the being continued. “I am Nightmare Spring Bonnie. But you can just call me Springtrap.” After all, it wasn't truly a lie. He too shared such a destiny with his better half. A walking tomb, miserably seeking revenge. David looked a bit clueless for a moment. Seemed he really didn't remember aspects of his own childhood. Springtrap couldn't blame him for that. “Did you know I know the future?” Springtrap suddenly interjected again, changing the subject. “Time in the Labyrinth is such a strange concept. Not like the reality you live in.” He backed away slightly, but his claws lingered. “Wait, what? You control time?” David was flabbergasted. This was making less and less sense the longer he spoke with the demon. Who still hadn't answered just what he was. Springtrap laughed loudly, the hallway swayed and groaned. When he finally stopped laughing, he bent forward further, until their faces were almost touching. “Uh, no. Controlling time would be akin to controlling your future, David. Here we are able to exist at all points in time, see all roads at once. I can tell you, with certainty, all possible future's and outcomes you could have, based on all possible choices you could make.” He almost sounded as if he was mocking David. But he paused. It was only brief. “With a single look, I could tell you, if you weren't here in the Labyrinth, what sort of future you could have and it would be correct. At least, one single thing would never change, no matter the choices. This is why you need me, Detective.” They'd come full circle. “You'll never fulfill your promise to those families. While it matters little to me, you'll never uncover what happened to those kids. You'll never catch the culprit. They are too slick – a master of disguise. There is no trail to follow. Disgraced by your own inability, you lose your business and become a drunk – forever regretting the case. Eventually, you die in a fire, and the culprit is never caught.” David stared wide-eyed, then grew angry. Anger didn't taste as good as fear. “That's not-” “It's true.” Springtrap cut him off again. It was almost as if they'd had this conversation before. David took a deep shaky breath, feeling despair. His expression dropped and Springtrap cocked his head. “You're going to make ole Springtrap cry with that look.” He said mockingly. He didn't have the ability, after all. He let the silence between them settle, like a weight. David felt his head tilting downward. What could he do to change this situation? If this future was even real and not a lie. Creature's like him probably lied all the time. But... he was starting to figure out what Springtrap probably wanted from him. It was dangerous. For him, anyway. “You want me to offer something up in order to catch him?” David finally asked. Like his soul? “Oh no, don't be silly.” Springtrap replied, “Souls are meaningless here.” Again, reading his mind. “But I can bring him to you. It won't be easy to figure out who it is, but he'll be stuck here like the rest of you. Make the deal and you'll get the chance you won't complete in reality.” The deal? “If not souls, then what?” “I haven't made up my mind,” Springtrap said. “Isn't it worth it to take care of someone like they are?” So far, there didn't seem to be anything drastic in it for him. But the unknown of what Springtrap could want to bother him. Like he wasn't fully forthcoming with what this deal would really cost. He stood in silence for a long time, and Springtrap seemed to simply wait for his answer. He couldn't tell if Springtrap was getting impatient or not. “Answer me another question. Why do you want to make this deal?” Did Springtrap care about it? Would something that looked evil care about a kidnapper? Springtrap shrugged in response. “His actions don't affect me.” He replied, “I could care little about the situation and what happened. But, I have the ability to give it to you. Perhaps it's an apology for kidnapping you. Or, perhaps, I'm lying, and I do care. Or maybe, I only care about myself.” No real answer, because of course there wasn't. David went back to thinking. “Come on, Detective. I don't have all night.” Springtrap hissed, growing bored. “I'll... I'll take the deal. If this is the only way I catch them.” “Good choice.” David felt a searing pain cut through his skin, and for a moment, he believed he was dying. He screamed and choked. What was probably only a few moments felt like an eternity. The pain stopped and he wobbled on his feet. Springtrap steadied him. “What-what did you do to me?” David asked, still gritting his teeth. Springtrap only shrugged – now moving away. The room quaked again. David watched his back as the giant rabbit soon disappeared back into shadows and then there was a loud bang that echoed through the silence. A single door opened behind the security guards desk – where a door had not been moments before. David sighed. Seemed Springtrap was showing him where to go to leave this building. This was one hell of a dream. One that he believed was going to get a lot crazier before he woke. If he woke. He never got an answer on what Springtrap had done to him. Time would only tell, he supposed .

YES, LET’S DO IT, HERE WE GO, PREPARE YOURSELF I’m copy and pasting answers I’ve already done just so I don’t have to retype them and there’s a break because god this got long. I might link this on my About Me post, cause holy shit I spent time on this
1. What was the first fandom you got involved in?
Actual fandom? Probably DC. That’s when I started reading fanfiction and really poked my head around online communities dedicated to media and all.
2. What is your latest fandom?
I don’t know, probably Marvel? Maybe Riverdale, but I was a fan of the comics before so
3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?
If I’m assuming this question is about the actual fandom and not the source material and the people in the fandom and its community as a whole? Probably the Percy Jackson fandom. Not really into it anymore so I don’t know the state of it now, but it was a pretty wholesome and positive community. Any community that calls it’s creator “Uncle Rick” has gotta be pretty dope.
4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms?
Oh lord save my soul for admitting I like this, but definitely Five Nights at Freddy’s. The indie gaming, creepypasta, underground subculture as a whole is something I regret getting into. Don’t get me wrong, I usually love the source material, but the fandom is just so bad. You probably know what I’m talking about, the fangirls who insist they’re insane and are in love with Slenderman or something.
But specifically on FNaF, lord, I don’t even know what the fandom is anymore. It’s a meme, a fetish, and a hellspace all at once. And I’m not gonna fucking lie, I’ve been in this hellhole long before any of that. Like, I can’t even try to escape it, I’m in it for the long haul. I was just someone who joined for the lore and now we’re here with fucking casual bongos and trash gang and fuck I didn’t ask for this. I can’t escape. I know so fucking much about the franchise it hurts my fucking soul. I remember when the FNaF 2 trailer came out and we were all micro-analyzing London Bridge Is Falling Down. I remember when Springtrap didn’t have a name and we called that fucking Spring Bonnie or Golden Bonnie. I survived that era and I have PTSD from it, trust me. I remember when we were naive enough to think FNaF 3 was the last game. I know what channels were born and what channels died because of that series. I know it all.
I’m sorry, I got off topic. BUT I DON’T GET TO FUCKING RANT ABOUT IT ENOUGH, FUCKING FUCKSHIT
Oh, and a lot of bandoms I was in too. I went through an alt phase where I’d only listen to shit like BVB, BMTH, MCR, PTV, SWS, and so on. Once again, that sort of fandom was the same as the indie/creepypasta in being ‘different’ and ‘insane’ and all that and I was no different. I was a weird fucking kid when I was like 13. I regret all of it.
5. Which fandoms have your written fanfiction for?
Marvel, DC, and a couple Riverdale.
6. List your OTP from each fandom you’ve been involved in.
Not in many fandoms but
Marvel - WinterIronDC - SuperbatStar Trek Voyager - Captain Janeway/Seven of NinePercy Jackson - Solangelo
7. List your NoTPs from each fandom you’ve been in.
Marvel - Stucky, Stuckony, Romanogers, Clintasha, any incest ones, (save me for admitting this) SpideypoolDC - Any batboys shipped together, Bruce/Talia
And I don’t really have NOTPs for my other fandoms? Marvel and DC are really the only two things I’m invested in the fandom of. I guess you could count Wincest as well for Supernatural.
8. How did you get involved in your latest fandom?
What even is my latest fandom? Um, we’ll just say Marvel because I’m really not into joining fandoms much anymore. Honestly, I was a big DC fan who felt the need to hate Marvel because no shit. Eventually, I just got sick of the absolute shit movies DC had and I decided I had nothing to lose by just watching Iron Man. When I watched it I realized “wow, superhero movies can actually be good???” and I just binged the entire MCU in one month and was ready to see the next movie in theatres and I think I’ve seen every single MCU movie in theatres since Civil War? Definitely since Homecoming. I gave up on DC movies. The new Aquaman looks like shit, I’m so fucking pissed they redid Mera’s look when she looked perfectly fucking fine before and now she’s oversexualized and it’s gross. I’m excited for the new DC Batwoman TV show because I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO SEE A LIVE ACTION BATWOMAN SINCE THE DAWN OF FUCKING TIME
9. What are the best things about your current fandom?
Probably the Tony Stark Defense Squad. As a collective whole, I think the Defense Squad is one of the sweetest, nicest corners of the fandom. We’re incredibly kind to each other, write great meta and fic, and it’s just a great community. Of course, there are assholes, but you know.
I might get flamed for saying this, but also the HYDRA Trash Party corner of the fandom is actually really nice? Like, they understand consent and abuse aftermath and all the real shit better than the rest of the fandom, not gonna lie. Like, for as dark as the fic is you’d expect the people to be fucking nasties, but I have never met a rude HTP enthusiast. Or even one who’s unaware of how consent and whump work. They’re all very aware and kind. It’s bizarre, considering the source material. They get an awful rep though.
10. Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?
Literally any fandom I’m in besides Marvel and DC. I think I wrote like 2 Riverdale fics. Getting into reading fanfic and getting into writing fanfic are two entirely different ballparks. I don’t really read that much fanfic anyway, especially not anymore. I read Marvel and DC, but even then. I think it’s hard because sometimes you can’t switch off the whole ‘reading like a writer’ thing. That’s why I enjoy classic literature. I’m a slut for some good ass prose and symbolism.
11. Who is your current OTP?
WinterIron, of ducking course.
12. Who is your current OT3?
I’m not really a fan of OT3s, to be honest, I find I’m personally pretty weak with writing poly relationships and I don’t really enjoy reading them because one character is usually focused on a lot more than the other two. But if I had to pick, I would say T’Challa/M’Baku/Bucky only because I am solely responsible for the creation of that abomination and you have no idea how much people begged me for a series after the first one, it astounded me.
13. Any NoTPs?
As before listed, Stucky, Stuckony, Spideypool, Clintasha, Romanogers
14. Go on, who are your BroTPs?
IronWidow is my top BroTP, but I also like WinterWidow as a BroTP. Stucky is good as a BroTP too, as well as Tony & Rhodey.
15. Is there an obscure ship which you love?
Literally any ship I have. Yall I’ve been here since WinterIron was obscure. But to name a specific one I’m just gonna go with Pietro/Tony. I don’t know, I just had an idea I was writing for them and I was thinking about how much missed out potential there was between them. And with Pietro as a whole, but you know. Marvel has to kill off the only good Maximoff they had.
Oh, Natasha/Pepper too, but they aren’t as obscure, I guess.
16. Are their any popular ships in your fandom which you dislike?
Stucky, clearly.
17. Who was your first OTP and are they still your favourite?
Stony, and no. They fell apart for me, at least MCU-wise.
18. What ship have you written the most about?
By now, WinterIron, I believe. I recently passed my count of fics for Superbat.
19. Is there a ship which you wished you could get behind, but you just don’t feel them?
Pepperony, probably. I think it’s actually a cute and sweet ship and I like their in-canon moments, but I just can’t get behind reading fanfic of them? It never works out for me, I don’t really get it. It sucks because I do enjoy seeing their cute moments.
20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking?
I’ll do a different answer I thought of besides the first time I answered this. But Thruce was a big shocker for me. I didn’t even think about it during Ragnorak but then I saw an incorrect quote for it and I was like? Oh? This? This is a good, pure ship right here. The funny thing is, I actually wrote a fic with them as a side ship long before they hit it big so like, I was shocked when they came out of nowhere. But hey, I’m fucking here for it. I’ll probably never write it, but I’m here for it.
21. What was the first fanfic you ever wrote?
Goodnight, My Angel. It was a Superbat fic and really sad, but I still love it.
22. Is there anything you regret writing?
Probably... You Deserve Love And You’ll Get It. No, I won’t link it because I hate it that much. I’m not even gonna talk about it. It’s my most popular fic too why
23. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it.
Super dorky, but The (Un)Wanted Kiss. It’s my first finished chapter fic, and the first chaptered fic I did on Tumblr and it just brings me a lot of nostalgia. It reminds me of where I was as a writer when I started it and it was an entire fic spawned from people wanting more of a simple 500-word prompt and that just blows my mind. It reminds me of the power of fans and how much love and support I got from it. It really kicked me off as a “serious fanfic writer” I think.
24. What fic do you desperately need to rewrite or edit?
All You Are Is All I Need. That is a hot fucking mess. Probably The Red Halo too.
25. What’s your most popular fanfic?
*sigh* You Deserve Love And You’ll Get It
26. How do you come up with your fanfic titles?
I bullshit my way through them. My most recent fics have actually followed a trend of being named after songs.
27. What do you hate more: Coming up with titles or writing summaries?
Summaries. I always make them so fucking corny, I hate it.
28. If someone were to draw a piece of fanart for your story, which story would it be and what would the picture be of?
One Foot In Front Of The Other, probably. Just because I want more fem!WinterIron fanart. I can’t say what scene because spoilers but.... yeah, anything from that would be great, really.
29. Do you have a beta reader? Why/Why not?
Sort of. I make some of my friends like Pizza read over my shit before I post it, but that’s not often, only when I think I need it. I don’t just because I write a lot and I’d feel bad for constantly annoying someone with making them read everything I write. I hate inconveniencing people.
30. What inspires you to write?
The better question is what doesn’t. I never stop thinking like a writer. My brain forgot how to turn off that feature.
31. What’s the nicest thing someone has ever said about your writing?
Ummmm, I can’t think of an exact thing? I get so many beyond sweet comments and messages, it’s hard to pin down one comment. I think if I had to pick, I once got a message from someone on Tumblr who was old enough to be my mother complimenting me and telling me I didn’t write like a teenager and I think that was really sweet.
32. Do you listen to music when you write or does music inspire you? If so, which band or genre of music does it for you?
Yes, yes, yes, yes. And honestly, any genre. I listen to everything. Everything. But specifically, Emilie Autumn has inspired a lot ideas/fics I’ve written.
33. Do you write oneshots, multi-chapter fics or huuuuuge epics?
All of the above.
34. What’s the word count on your longest fic?
Around 23k, I think?
35. Do you write drabbles? If so, what do you normally write them about?
Yes, and whatever I get prompted for, really.
36. What’s your favourite genre to write?
For fanfiction, I guess romance? I mean, that’s really all my fanfiction is. Otherwise, I’ll write quite literally any genre I feel like. I go wherever an idea takes me. I’m character based, not genre or plot based.
37. First person or third person - what do you write in and why?
Third. I fucking despise 1st person. I just do. That’s an entire rant we ain’t here for today.
38. Do you use established canon characters or do you create OCs?
Usually canon characters. I only use an OC when I absolutely have to, to make the plot do the plot stuff.
39. What is you greatest strength as a writer?
Nothing. My writing sucks. All of it is shit.
40. What do you struggle the most with in your writing?
Everything. I screech the most about pacing and sentence structures though.
41. List and link to 5 fanfics you are currently reading:
Most of these are actually on my to-read list but whatever.
Winter's End by ali_aliska Winter is Coming (aka Fifty First Avengers Dates) by 27dragons, tisfan My Love is Vengeance by seikaitsukimizu The caged Hawk by asamandra Fertile Ground by 27dragons, tisfan
42. List and link to 5 fanfiction authors who are amazing:
27dragons tisfanChiaki_Hamano arianapeterson19 thepartyresponsible
43. Is there anyone in your fandom who really inspires you?
Not really? I’m not knocking any of the other ‘big names’ in the Marvel fandom, but I don’t really draw inspiration from other fanfic writers. Not for plot, and definitely not for writing style. I get inspiration from fanart I see sometimes, but it’s never one main artist who I stalk to be inspired, just whatever I happen across online.
44. What ship do you feel needs more attention?
WinterIron, duh. I will not rest until WinterIron is the biggest ship in the Marvel fandom.
45. What is your all time favourite fanfic?
I’ve mentioned this fic before and honestly, it hasn’t been topped yet, but In the Company of Monsters by Chiaki_Hamano. It’s not even a Marvel fic, and it’s not even a ship I like, but god, I fucking adore it. I’d love to write something like it, but with WinterIron if I had the time, I think the entire world and setting would fit WinterIron beautifully.
46. If someone was to read one of your fanfics, which fic would you recommend to them and why?
Well, that all depends on what they’re looking for in my fanfiction. If they’re looking for WinterIron, I’d probably tell them to start with The (Un)Wanted Kiss just because that’s one of my most loved fics and I think I did really well with it. But if they just want a general fic, A Great Connection is one I’m really proud of and I still get gushing feedback about.
47. Archive Of Our Own, Fanfiction.net or Tumblr - where do you prefer to post and why?
For just writing fanfic, Ao3. Tumblr can be a pain in the ass, and I don’t even use ff.net.
48. Do you leave reviews when you read fanfiction? Why/Why not?
Yes. But only if 1, I really, really loved it or 2, I don’t think the fic has enough attention. It also helps if the writer responds to comments. I don’t see the significance of saying “I loved this!” if the fic has dozens of other comments saying the same thing. As a writer, I know what comments writers prefer. Longer ones, deep comments pointing out what things they liked, and so on. However if I write a comment that long, I like to get a response because you know, I love seeing the writer talking about the elements of the story I liked.
49. Do you care if people comment/reblog your writing? Why/why not?
Not really, to be perfectly honest. Yes, I love and cherish every kudos and note I get, and the sweet comments make me want to die of joy. But I write for me. Even when I take prompts, in the end, I write because it makes me happy. Yes, I love the validation. But even without it, I would still write. I do not write fanfiction for you, I share fanfiction with you. There’s a difference. Writing makes me happy. If I only cared about the validation, I wouldn’t have a folder reserved of fics I’ll never post but I wrote just because I wanted to. I write to write. The moment I start writing for validation, I might as well stop writing, because it’s not worth it.
50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?
Ummmm I think I was just curious? I was new to internet culture, I saw fanart of Superbat and I discovered Ao3 and was like “wow, this stuff exists??? Words for free????? About my favourite characters being happy and dating each other??????????” and it was a downward spiral. I was like, 11 when I read my first fanfiction. I was obsessed with Superbat fanart, and I thought, what would it hurt to try actually reading it? Like, that was so taboo to me. And now we’re here. Tadaaaaaah
51. Rant or Gush about one thing you love or hate in the world of fanfiction! Go!
Oh, a chance to ramble. Yay. I’m gonna rant because I’m a rant-y person.
I think something that annoys me about fanfiction is not necessarily a probably within fanfiction, but rather the outward view of it. Fanfic has an awful rep within the real world. The one-time fanfiction really took centre stage was when Fifty Shades came out, which only hurt the platform by furthering the stereotype that it’s all porn made for horny freaks who just want to get off.
I should not be ashamed to say I write fanfiction. I should not feel childish saying it to myself. No one should. At least half of my ‘fans’ are nearly a decade or more older than me. It’s clearly not something that’s immature or silly. Of course, it can be, but any hobby can be dumbed down to a kiddy version.
But fanfiction at its core is ignored for what it really is. When adults talk about fanfiction they belittle it and only see a tiny subsection of it, ignoring what it’s supposed to be about. It’s about creating transformative works for media you’re passionate about.
Fanfiction gets a worse rep than other transformative works such as fanart or whatever. Writing as a whole does. Fanfic is painted as this utter trash.
I’ve read fanfiction that made me cry, laugh, feel shit. I’ve read fanfiction that tackled heavy topics. Even on a sexual standpoint, I’ve read fanfiction that was willing to write erotica that published authors wouldn’t fucking touch. Both in a kink sense, but also in terms of how the relationship functions. I’ve read shitty fanfictions, sure. But I’ve read fanfictions that were better than 90% of the published books I’ve read. Even fanfics I didn’t like.
To put fanfiction into perspective, the average YA novel (the age group fanfiction is generally but not always aimed at) is 70k words. I’ve read fanfiction that blows that word count out of the water. And it takes fucking skill to write something that long. It’s not just writing a bunch of porn or cute scenes, that takes serious world building and character arcs.
Fanfiction kills so many tropes that are common in YA and literature in general. I read a YA after reading nothing but fanfiction for a long time and I was fucking appalled? It was a popular YA too. I won’t name what one because you could literally imagine anyone and it’d probably fit. The characters were flat, the romance was outright manipulative and toxic, the plot was dull, even the writing itself was bland. This was the type of book years ago I would’ve loved. But compared to most (of course, not all. Shit exists, but I think in fanfiction, we’re able to better filter out the shit) fanfictions, it was fucking trash.
When I started reading fanfiction, I assumed it’d lower my standards. The first time I picked up an actual novel I was relieved, excited to not have to deal with the problems that are in unpublished writings. But I quickly realized it was the complete opposite. Fanfiction threw my expectations through the roof. I expect fiction to include representation, fresh plots, interesting characters, thrilling romances, and decent fucking sex scenes if they’re there. But it just wasn’t there. It all fell flat. As someone seriously into the writing and reading community I hear so often that it’s hard for plots to be original and you shouldn’t judge on originality, but then I read fanfiction written by fucking teenagers that’s fucking mind-blowing with plot twists and original ideas, and I have to wonder is it really that hard? It’s clearly doable, you just have to take away the fanfiction part.
I have YA novels sitting on my sheld I know I’ll never read and enjoy because fanfiction just made my expectations too high. Which is good in a sense because I pray some of these amazing writers, when they get older will go on to write mind-blowing original novels and I hope that this generation of writers will put out great literature in ten to fifteen years, but for now I’m just… underwhelmed. I think it’s why I read a lot of classic literature too. Shit was better back then.
And yet despite all that, fanfiction is still made to look like shit in the modern media. It sucks so badly for fanfiction writers not to look like serious writers. I could publish one book, have it get the amount of attention my biggest fanfic got and be considered a serious author. My biggest fanfiction currently has 40k notes on Tumblr. Imagine if that were a published short story. It’d be a fucking hit. And there are others that make my numbers look small. And yet it’s brushed aside as unimpactful.
I think a lot of that stems from the fact that fanfic writers do generally start out younger. I’m 16. Others either are or were my age. But age does not equate to skill in writing. Sure, that is a factor, but it is not the entire story. I know a 14 yr old who writes some of the best prose I have ever seen. And even if younger fic writers aren’t on level yet, fanfiction is what’s helping them grow as a writer. But because we’re teenagers, we’re turned away just because of that. Even more specifically because we’re teenage girls (for the most part, I’m not saying other genders and/or age groups aren’t writing/reading fanfic) and we all know how society feels about them. It’s just a fucking shame that fanfiction can’t be respected for the legitimate form of writing it is because of the stigma. I’ve seen fanfic writers say they aren’t real writers because of the stigma, it’s awful. We feel the need to tear ourselves down for an admirable hobby. I can’t say my favourite book is a fanfiction I read, when I has every right to be a valid answer.
We’ll cut this ramble off here because wow I really went on didn’t I.
