It’s fascinating to me when I start to write enough that making one decision breaks a bunch of the stuff I’ve already written.

Ah yes, I have over 120,000 words for something but now that I’ve decided in one fic that a character’s birthday is in October I need to go back and make sure that it doesn’t cause conflict with any of the other things I’ve written.

Nothing like the smallest detail to bring out plot holes that you didn’t know existed.

The terrible thing is that if someone was reading my writing, they wouldn’t realize the plot holes exist because they’re never explicitly stated (because I have timelines in my head that aren’t always outright said in the story).

But I know they’re there.

And it is going to bug me until I fix them.

☾ It was exam time.

☾ Oh no, it was exam time.

☾ You had absolutely no motivation (girl same though I feel you ;u;) to start your work, because you always knew that when you worked, you weren’t doing the passions you were striving for. You wanted to be a hero! So what were you doing, stuck working on the history of Japan and 500000 more math problems? What was the point if it didn’t make sense?

☾ It was around midnight at the dorms, and you were studying for your exams tomorrow. Iida was on a volunteered patrol, and was making sure everyone was fast asleep-- but you could only imagine how surprised he was when he saw you, your door a teenie bit open, and you sprawled across your desk with BTS playing in the background.

☾ “y/n! what are you doing awake? you must be sleeping by now, it’s nearly past midnight!”

☾ Immediately, you started putting things into your backpack, apologizing. “Sorry, sorry. You can go now! Sorry about that, I didn’t mean to bother you. It’s okay now-”

☾ “y/n, are you studying for the final tomorrow?” he was doing that (ADORABLE KUDHWLIUDLhliuhIUWHDLIU) hand-choppy thingy and chopping the air. 

☾ “uh, yes. I am, sorry if I was bothering you!” You said, trying to brush it off. Iida looked at you and said, “but the exam is tomorrow. what will you do if you don’t study for it? do you need help? you know what, i will help you. what problem are you on?”

☾ You two studied late into the night, cracking a few jokes as you two studied in the kitchen, making tea as Iida instructed you on how to do everything.

Ahhh sorry that was so long!! you put in so much in your ask (WHICH IS AMAZINGGGG), so I had a lot more to add ^^ thank you so much, don’t apologize for adding more ^U^. anyway, here are some relationship headcanons for you perfect bean and the ray of sunshine:

please cuddle this man. he can and will be the little spoon, even though he never really says it out loud. i think the impression of iida that most people have is that he’s bossy, straightforward, kind of bland in terms of personality-- but i suggest otherwise! when his brother was hurt, who came and left the school festival to see if he was okay? iida. when iida was hurt, trying to seek revenge on stain, even when he was bleeding, he still apologized for “dragging you into this mess” to todoroki and deku. he also supported uraraka in her dreams of working for money, and said that it was completely reasonable to want to be a hero for her own livelihood. he even has a sense of humor, and contagious bursts of energy! okay now that i’m done ranting about him, let’s actually start XD this man!! he loves you so so much. he was never really good with feelings from the start, and he always struggles without trying to do his best no matter what he might encounter. and since iida would totally be the mom friend, i like to think that you two would be the unofficial official mom and dad of the group! iida personally really likes that you feel comfortable enough around him to be chaotic, loud, and he loves to hear you talk about your passions. he’ll do anything to see you smile, hear your laugh, or to see the way your eyes sparkle when you’re happy 🥺🥺🥺🥺 he always tries to get you to talk about your passions, subtly hinting. if you ever show a passion for anything new, trust me, this man will write it down. he’ll have this adorable notebook, and he’ll be writing it down, and trust me: the next day, expect him to know all about it. what? did you say you liked a certain k-drama? yep, he’s there! he also doesn’t mind that you can get anxious either, and if you are, expect hugs. he’ll be a blushing mess, but he’s willing to swallow his pride and give the softest, most sweetest hugs in the world. and if your self-esteem is down? this man WILL literally do anything in his will to bring it back up. he’ll hold you and tell you that it’s going to be okay, and hands you literally 10000 glasses of water to stay hydrated. expect him to also cook whatever food he can for you! and girl, you are so much like me. procrastination is a big problem, but iida will literally help you so so much. he’ll get you to focus like magic, and he promises a kith every time he sees you finish a homework assignment. he’ll shower you with love, and he always finds ways to pump you up! and if you ever have any problems, he’ll always address it right away instead of dragging it out. he’s lawful, so if he does something wrong, he’ll admit to it, and he’ll express how bad he feels about it. he loves you so so much and will never stop!!
