Febuwhump 2024, Day 24: Time & Wars - "I'm Doing This Because I Care"
Fandom: LOZ/Linked Universe
Summary: Mask was too young to know what Cia did to Link when she dragged him away to a different room, but now older, Time refused to let her lay a hand on him. Was he going to enjoy the ruse? Never. Was he going to enjoy seeing Cia fall to the ground. Yes. He was finally going to have revenge.
CW: small injury, implied sexual content - including non con (Nothing explicit), manipulation
They were dragging the Captain out of the cell by his hair, waking Mask in the process. Mask scrambled to grab Link, kick and claw at the two shadows that were doing the most to make Link feel pain.
“You cucco shit shadows, let him go!!” Mask hollered as he flung his whole body into the cell's now locked door. Mask continued his colorful choice of words thrown together as insults as Link took multiple hits to his gut, never to his face.
“Tisk, tisk. What a foul mouth this one has.” Cia leisurely strolled into the room, her mask covering her face still. “Someone should teach him a lesson in manners.”
“Stay away from him! Your problem is with me.” Link tried pulling himself out of the shadows’ grip, only to have Cia pulling his head back too roughly by his bangs.
“You care for the half pint, don’t you? I can see it in your eyes. Tell me, what is he worth to you?”
Mask gripped the bars tightly, ears dropping because he knew the answer. He had known the answer for a while. He just wished it wasn’t true now for this reason. He was going to be used against his brother.
“Everything.” Link whispered. “He’s worth everything to me. Cia, please, leave him be and I will come with you willingly.”
“How tempting… Oooh I can’t say no to that sweet deal.”
“Can I have a moment with him though, just a moment.”
“Make it fast.” she possessively growled.
Link fell forwards onto his hands when she pushed him away, but didn’t waste a second more than needed to get to his feet, then landed in front of Mask.
“Cap, why are you doing this? We could bust out of here and you wouldn’t have to do anything for her.”
Mask didn’t realize that he had started crying quietly until Link removed the tears. “I’m sorry, Mask.”
“Why are you doing this for me?”
“I’m doing this because I care. You are my little brother, you are sacred to me.” He removed the blue scarf, slipping it through the bars to place it snuggly around Mask. “Go sit in the furthest corner, close your eyes and cover your ears. Don’t listen to a single thing until I come back. Understood?”
“Link-”
“Mask, please, promise me you will do as I ask.”
“I-I promise.”
“Time is up, come on lover boy.” Cia announced and dragged the Captain away to a room on the other across from the holding cell. Mask did as he promised, but even with his ears covered and scarf around his head, he still heard almost everything and his eyes stayed wide open with fear. True fear.
Time may not have understood what had happened back then, but he understood it now. He knew the horror Warriors went through to keep him safe and it made him sick. Wars hollers and Cia’s giggles burned a hole in his mind along with everything else he heard.
He silently watched from the other side of those exact same bars as Dark spoke to Cia, who was somehow back from the dead. “Have your fun if you must, but don’t take too long. Our Master will not be happy if you fail at this simple task I am giving you.”
“Yes, yes.” Cia waved Dark off. “I promise, these two aren’t going anywhere.”
“Good. Now I just need to go find the one with Ganon hidden in his blood.”
With Dark out the door, Cia looked over her prize: Warriors. The Captain looked like he had seen a ghost and Time really couldn’t blame him. Wars shifted uncomfortably with his dislocated shoulder, wrist still bound to the wall next to him.
“Mmm, nice to have you back, Link. We have some catching up to do.” Cia’s eyes and words only promised terrible horrors.
Time had stayed with his head lowered and kept to the shadows of the cell like he had that night so many years ago. Hearing her words and Warriors whimper, Time spoke. “Leave him be, Cia. He won’t be worth your time or effort.”
“And you would be?” she mocked.
“Precisely.”
“Come here so I can take a look at you.”
Time only had his hands cuffed with a long chain between them. He took his time standing and coming into the light, placing his elbows on the crossbars of the cell and resting his head against another. He looked into both of her eyes, to her lips then made a clear look over her body. With the most luring, sultry, husky voice he could, he said, “Hello again, Cia.”
“Look who is all grown up now. Mask, the brat.”
“Grown up in more ways than one and can still be a brat if I want to be.” It was a simple conversation like two old friends, sorta, not really. He just really wanted this to work.
“So it seems.” The hair on the back of Time’s neck rose as Cia seemed to appraise him thoughtfully. “What makes you think that I’ll have better luck with you? What will make you so different from my favorite Captain? He is the one that I desire, afterall.”
Time swallowed the lump that wanted to form in his throat. He knew what he needed to say, he only hoped that Warriors wouldn’t call his bluff -not that Wars would- and knew that this wasn’t real. From how heavy Warriors was breathing, he was already too lost in his head to see what this was.
“I was too young to fully understand what was happening when Warriors- Link - offered to go with you if you left me alone, but I got older and I replayed everything I heard with a different mind. I became intrigued, interested and found myself wanting.” Well that was furthest from the truth.
“If that's true, what is this on your hand?” Cia touched the ring on his left hand slowly. Time's soul burned with rage as she touched the most precious thing Malon had given him.
Time rolled his eyes in annoyance. “Political matter. The Hero can’t marry his princess like many of the commoners wanted, but the Noblemen still wanted me to marry to make me more ‘Domesticated’ since I have a reputation that they don’t like. To get them off my back I married a farmgirl with red hair, green eyes, too modest and I don’t particularly like having a woman that is as strong as me. Not exactly my type.”
Those were the things he loved most about Malon and he liked her strength! She could keep him in check.
“Gerudo?”
“Half. Again, political.”
“So she wouldn’t mind if I stole you for a while?” Cia grabbed his belt that was around his tunic, pulling him closer to the bars, making him stand taller, less eye level.
“Even if she did, I wouldn’t care.” Malon would have his head! Time was madly in love with her so that wouldn’t ever happen, in any of the timelines.
“Well then, don’t mind if I do.” Cia, against better judgment, opened the cell.
Time never made any sudden movements, allowing her to see everything he did and it made it a bit more dramatic. “Wanna take these off of me first?” He raised his hands.
“Kinda like you better with them on. Come on handsome.” That made it clear that she was still guarded with him.
When Cia tugged on the chain to go to that room, Time nearly panicked. He yanked her back to him, catching her as she crashed into his chest with a yelp. He always cupped both of Malon’s cheeks when he kissed her this way and he would never give Cia or anyone else the same gesture. Instead he kept a hand on the back of her neck and the other along her side. He needed it to be possessive, messy, intoxicating for her… all while trying not to throw up the bile that was rising from the action. When they separated, they were panting and he saw that he had achieved his goal.
Cia looked dazed as she stayed close, “Someone doesn’t waste time.”
“That and I think we should stay in here to have our fun, make the Captain see what he is missing out on, what he could be enjoying. Look at him.” He moved her to the middle of the room, her back to his chest, to have them in Warriors direct line of sight.
After removing the collar of her outfit, leaving her neck and shoulders bare, Time put his arms around her, chains in front, then brought a hand up to under Cia’s chin to move her head to the side. He swallowed down the disgust and gave a few open mouth kisses to her neck. He was going to need to wash his mouth out for the next two days straight and possibly drink some of the stuff he knew Wind kept secret.
“Look at your Captain. Such a pity that he isn’t man enough for you, traumatized by the acts from that day. No worries though, I’ll make you forget about him.”
Warriors made a choked noise and Time looked at him for the first time during this ruse. He was going to have to make this up to Wars because all this was doing was adding to the trauma, but saving him from what could be happening to him. This needed to end.
Keeping the hand under and on her chin, his right arm came up and held her around the front of her shoulders. She hummed happily and Time snarled. “Take a good look at him, Cia, because this will be your last time.”
“Wha-”
“This is my revenge.” Time gripped her left shoulder and chin tightly as she clawed at his arm. With all his might, he pulled her shoulder and neck in opposite directions, snapping her neck. He let her lifeless body hit the ground in front of him.
Time had to brace himself with the nearest wall as the bile finally rose and demanded to come out. He would never get this out of his mind and he knew Malon would understand why he did this, but he was hating himself. Warriors was worth it though.
Not lingering, he grabbed the keys from Cia’s hip and uncuffed himself. He stumbled to the cell door and went to Warriors side. The Captain scooted away, eyes blown wider than Time had ever seen them and he had tear tracks through the dirt on his cheeks.
“Wars, hey, it’s okay. It’s just me.”
“What… wh- how could you do that? How could you say those things to her?”
“I had to.” Time tried to get closer, but Warriors, still in his downward spiral, kicked him in the chest to keep him away. No doubt that hurt his shoulder more. Words weren’t going to reach the Captain until he calmed down and he wasn’t going to calm down until his hands were released and shoulder in place.
Time avoided more kicks though Wars tried and wrestled him for control so he could uncuff him. Was it smart? No. Did it hurt his heart to hear his brother scream in agony, physical and mental? Yes.
Cuffs off, Time got a swift punch to the jaw. He guessed he deserved that. It didn’t stop him from pulling Wars to his chest in a tight hug, running his fingers through the other’s hair to calm him.
“Cap, it wasn’t real, it wasn’t real. I would never and you know that.” He took the few more hits he got to the ribs. They weren’t too hard of hits since they were too close together.
Warriors gave a weak attempt at another hit, gripping Time’s tunic like his life depended on it. He took a large breath in and screamed into Time’s chest, sobs following. He shook with the cries, but Time never let go. Even when Wars thrashed with another scream, he held him close, refusing to let him go.
Some time later, Warriors asked, “Why did you do that for me?”
“I did that because I care. You are my brother and you are sacred to me.”

Note
Gerudo here. Blog lore. You got me going. I might draw this if I like. I am going entirely off of vibes here, as well as a couple of other things. Like what I want to do.
Zamorakas would be a dimensional spirit with the ability to manipulate the dimensions. If you've seen their Discord pic, like that but in the typical galaxy aesthetic.
Servo is The Questioner, a curious being who asks questions and always leaves their name as part of the note. If you answer the question, you get a shot of Happy Juice (aka dopamine). Hip-hop figure but made of smoke. Has a small notepad and pen.
DrawingPotatoPenguin is a mysterious painter, and sometimes you will just. Find one of their artworks in the middle of nowhere. They wear drapy clothing, but tied down around the forearms so they can paint. Otherwise, I'm almost picturing a Greco-Roman vibe with a Dark Paradise aesthetic.
DL-Incorrect-Quotes is one of those gossipy sprites who like to say "So what if-". Yes gossipy like a high school girl. I'm picturing a small, slightly annoying, almost Navi-like yet very creative-but-only-memes little sprite. That is green.
I would be a storyteller who takes the form of a Gerudo and spreads chaos when bored. Has a lot of headcanons and very strong opinions. Gerudo/fire/pensive vibes.
Conversation Anon is a bewitchy poker player with a deck of cards called, you guessed it, The Cards of Chaos. They are a chaos spirit. I'm thinking the villain from The Princess and the Frog but less villainy in behavior.
Ballad is kinda like Muse, a budding creative spirit. Again, Greco-Roman vibes.
You, Changeling, are a socially awkward but enthusiastic deity of creation who has attracted through your creations the crowd of All Of The Above. Greco-Roman vibes mixed with your avatar from your Youtube videos and ramped up to look like a deity.
...There's a lot of Greco-Roman vibes.
Well I am socially awkward...
Nice!
