There’s some time travel fics where instead of assimilating in their own pas body a character ends up parenting themselves and falling in love with someone who they wouldn’t otherwise bc of an age gap

Lxc I would pair up with one of the main wens, I do normally put him as 3 years older them lwj and therefore like 10 years younger them wen chão and 15 or more years of age gap with wen xu (I assume he is older bc wrh is Old almost Immortal in my head)

So yeah, he’d try to pass as a rogue cultivator but people would Assume Things about who his parents are, he can’t even lie well, poor guy.

Lxc either getting wx or wc falling for him is so funny, he could fix them for sure. He could also go far back and just seduce wrh himself

Jin Ling would very easily be just Another JGS Bastard, I was uuuugh at fist cause most of the cast are his uncles but them I decided that only the Jin’s and kings weren’t possible

I mean, the options i like for him are: gets closer to nhs bc he expects him to be smart and ends up with him (this ship has a lot of sangcheng taste tbh)

No main wens for JL but Wen Ning!!!!! Idk it sounds cute, if he came back just when the war was starting and ended up meeting wn in the way to warn/help wwx and wn would be surprised by how jl respects him?? And jl being wait why tf is the senior/corpse babysitter blushing like that?? And they fall in love of course (and also fix the past but who cares about that)

LSZ I’ve have first meeting past important people after rescuing wangxian from the xuanwu cave, I’d get him with Nmj probably 🤔 that would be older post cannon lsz too… maybe lsz/jgy could work too, if he went enough far back to save a idk 16yo MY (my with a puppy crush at first)

Shizui would also change the burning of cloud recesses burning from the background and slowly implement wwx inventions (he was given permission to act like a immortal gave them to him) so he can have enough standing to have a voice in the war and post-war

LJY is too shippable, aside from the lans anyone could be it, the Nie, JC, any main wens or wn or wen qing, even the jins or xy??

Regardless of being a lan and looking like one his personality would probably make people never doubt his rogue cultivator identity lmao

I’d read him going back to burial mounds time and shacking it up with the surviving wen, or back to war time to shake things up and end up a Jiang disciple or even to cloud recesses study arc where he would just crash the lectures and remind lqr so much of cssr he would be less antagonistic with wwx rofl

And honestly, ljy could even be shippable with 3zun, wangxian or xuanli, he acting as a parent to either baby lsz or baby jl would be hilarious for different reasons… he’d tease his poor son jl so much…

I don’t have many solid ideas for OYZZ except him nighthunting with xxc and sl at some point… he’d probably be able to fix wrh if he went far back enough… let’s makes it wrh and lqr are the same time to make things different, maybe OYZZ deserves to wife beam people Shen yuan style

oR!!! He could be mianmian merchant husband, using money and knowledge of the future to make things better like lsz but people would know even less about him

Wangxian (I can’t bear to separate them your honor) could also go so far back that they are baoshan sander contemporaries, just two immortal guys with their immortal daughter (I like to this post-cannon wx meeting 15/17 yo baoshan) and they would eventually show up and do things and fix everything like that, this could totally be a hidden thing in some no-war au

The last thing to ponder is of course what made these people go back and be unable to their own time, it could be the simple “cultivation accident sent A Copy to the past and created another reality” or the more commonly used “the world was ending and this was the only option”

They could also come from the same world ending event, all survivors going back to the past knowing they probably won’t be on the same universe as the others anymore… (except for wx bc I said so)
