I love how they gave Light a friend group in the jdrama. Like a whole 3 good friends who he hangs out with in class and on his days off. And he seems pretty close with them, especially Kamoda who he FIRST USES THE DEATH NOTE FOR. (Even though he thought it was fake), he had almost no hesitation writing down the name of the bully who had threatened Kamoda, and the thing that it seemed tipped him over the edge from ‘oh well, hes a shitty guy’ to murder was Kamoda begging someone to do something. As we see with soichiro, light went down that path to save people first and foremost, and lost himself along the way. I wonder how his friends felt when he vanished and never came back. I wonder if they mourned him.
