You know, the more I think about it, the more I’m coming to realize that Snow would be the most well-known to the Vapran and Stone-in-the-Wood clans. As Snow is a Councilor and mediator between the creatures of Thra and the Skeksis, she would naturally maintain diplomatic relations with the All-Maudra and her family. And because she can withstand Ha’rar’s cold temperatures, she was probably the one to collect tithes until the Darkening, when her work confined her to the palace and skekOk and skekLach took her place. 

As for Stone-in-the-Wood, Snow is a warrior by nature and incredibly powerful. skekSo recognized this early and ordered her involvement in the gruenak campaigns and Arathim wars. As a result, she was involved in choosing many of the castle guard alongside skekVar and oversaw their training. This also means that she was rather close with Ordon and Rian before the events of AOR.
