#I almost fought blade for calling Yanqing that

Yanqing: Since you’re going to be my other dad now, can you get me this? *holds up photo of sword on his phone*

Blade: Go ask Dan Heng or a Jing Yuan, they always spoils you.

Yanqing: The General is booked for the day and Master Dan Heng is out with the other members of the Astral Express.

Blade: Hmmm. I’m thinking no and you can’t change my mind on this. Learn to save money.

Yanqing: What?!

Blade: You heard me. What’re you going to do about it?

Yanqing: I can remind the general how you called me his lap dog. I’m sure he’d love to hear about it before you get sent to the couch.

Blade: *pulling out his credit card* not a word to Jing Yuan

Yanqing huffs and crosses his arms over his chest. "I am young, Mr. Yang, but I'm not stupid. I know what it takes to fight a Lord Ravager." Or at least knew what it technically took, not practically. He hadn't fought one himself yet. "I will be forever grateful that you and the other Nameless helped the General and the Luofu with our problems." If the General had fought Phantylia on his own... Yanqing doesn't even want to think about it. He would of course have tried to help, but he isn't sure the General would have allowed him to, even though he has fought both borisin and wingweavers in the past.

"He did?" The teen stares at the man with wide eyes, clearly having not anticipated that response. He had first failed to protect him against Blade and then tried to arrest him. Yanqing had been certain that Dan Heng would be upset with him, even if the arrest part had not been personal, but out of duty. "I won't tell, promise!" Knowing that Dan Heng thinks his swordsmanship is impressive gave the teen a little bit more confidence back.

"I'd love that, I didn't think it would be possible though, since I believed he was upset with me." Though knowing that's not the case changes things. "I will ask now and if he doesn't feel like talking this time, I'll try at a later date. I have many years left to live." About 700 or so more years.

Yanqing then lowers his voice. "I can imagine that. I don't know what happened in his past, the General doesn't tell and all documents are sealed. I only know it was very bad and that it left the General with a lot of emotional hurt. I know he thinks he hides it all well, but I have lived with him my entire life, I can read him better than he thinks, I just don't say anything." He is worried though Jing Yuan is over 700. He's of an age when Mara is more likely to set in. "He's my only f- eh Master. He's my only Master. Never had anyone else. Some sometimes do, but not me." Shit! He had almost called Jing Yuan family!
