#touchstarved#touchstarved game#red spring studio#touchstarved oc#alon the hound#alon the stray hound#myoc#my oc#my writing#character lore#thick as thieves#my art#myart#I wanted the red to contrast Erick's (their childhood friend) green and to foreshadow their blood being spilled#and it helps that it's a common magician colour too#as for the purple I kind of wanted a shared theme among my mcs of purple being a colour of the past#overall I wanted the colours of her past outfit to be less vibrant than their current one#i gave her a grey cape for being a magician and for their ties to the greycloaks#I actually looked at trucy wright (a magician character from ace attorney) for the silhouette#I thought she had a braid all this time and apparently she doesn't?#well I liked the look of a long braid so I gave that to alon. it makes me think of their loose bandage ends too so it's fitting.#I don't know if it's easy to see but the closed flap part of their vest is meant to be diagonal#it fits their whole mismatched and imperfect vibe but it also mimics a slash which foreshadows the wound on their back later#given to them by her childhood friend#the coin is a small nod to the necklace in their normal design#the coin also makes an appearance in Erick's artwork#perhaps it's the same coin they wear as their necklace
