Thoughts on Dark Might
Spoilers for You're Next below
So I just went back and watched the movie for the second time yesterday and I noticed some things.
Wanna preface by saying I loved the villain for this Movie. Dark Might was absolutely hysterical and flamboyant in a way that not a lot of serious villains are in this show, closest being Gentle Criminal who was meant to be a sympathetic villain who barely even qualified as a villain. Dark Might was a lot of fun to watch and a breath of fresh air, creepy scenes with Anna aside.
That said, there's something I noticed about him: The man has no original ideas. His entire villain plan was to try and recreate All Might's legacy, but in his own way. His fortress is plastered in All Might statues. While he did technically created his own villain name, he didn't do so until All Might said something that accidentally inspired it. His monsters? Clearly inspired by Nomu. Even his home base probably wasn't his own design, likely based on the Scervino home if his comment to Anna was anything to go by ("Do you like it? It was inspired by you" or something like that). Even that conversation with the erasure villain where he promises to "remember that for next time" is him taking something someone else said and planning to use it for the future to boost his own image. The only time where he appears to design something of his own was that horrendously bad outfit with the purple face paint, and then he gets mocked for it and never wears it again. Not even his face is his.
But this isn't bad writing or bad character design; rather it's actually genius. Here is a character who's quirk is the ability to create borderline anything (we don't really know the limits of his quirk without Anna), and yet he is unable to create something new; he instead plagiarizes from the world around him. It's deeply ironic, and is part of what makes the final face reveal so good. Once you strip him down to his own limits and his own ideas, all you have is a sad, pathetic man, with no original ideas who's power and money was handed to him on a silver platter. It's not just part of his character, it's the entire point of his character.
Tldr: Dark Might, while delightful to watch, has no original ideas and copies everything from those around him and it's genius writing for reasons I struggle to articulate

i don't feel like copying what i wrote, so take some screenshots of me having brainworms for the JDK villains again. primarily spurred by me going "hey wouldn't Nisha and Artemis and Apollo make cool rockstars instead"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
#i really need to hurry up and finish organizing my writing blog so i can start posting these there instead#anyways i feel like this finally nails EXACTLY the kind of vibes that i wanted for the Acolytes and Solanace#and tbh.....even if i cant find a way to work JDK's original curse themed plot with these ideas#i feel like it would absolutely be worth changing the stories/motivations for the POV trio to fit this new set of ideas#kinda adds a lot more to the villains as a whole#and also sets it apart from a lot of my other stories that revolve around 'essentially a cult' as an opposing force#if i decide to be the most self indulgent that i possibly could be#i might even consider the idea of making it a story ABOUT Solanace and the acolytes in the POV sense#theyd still obviously be villains but the protags of the story instead of the antags#at which point jonas/lydia/hayes would have to be majorly reworked to then fit into the antagonist roles#could also theoretically work with the idea of jonas AND nisha being POVs#so the reader would be getting insight to the good guys and the villains at the same time#JDK(which STILL needs a better placeholder title) really is a story that ive had to majorly change multiple times#most of my stories i have the general idea + genre settled before anything else#but this one is more character driven#i have two groups of OCs ive thought about in depth and i just havent been able to build the story around them in the right way yet#i think once i can Actually get my brain focused long enough to draw#i wanna doodle more rockstar inspired designs/themes for nisha/artie/apollo#see if the idea continues to tickle the brainworms in such a great way + then have time to make polished refs b4 artfight#bc i really love my overdramatic artsy villains okay. i think they deserve to be extra as fuck ya know?#who doesnt love a villain whose primary goal is to put on a show and THEN to do the evil things?

noona. noon. any angsty thoughts to share for the duke au? 👁️ (i’m craving angst sorry)
Original post. || cw: angst, neglect
I DO!! Angst version of the au would be if you weren’t welcomed at all. Sure, no one is being flat out rude to you, no one is actively sabotaging you and John doesn’t hit or force you into anything.
But it’s lonely.
The maids barely touch you, as if disgusted they have to help and tend to the woman their Duke needed to and not wanted to marry, and the butlers are the same. Especially the head butler Garrick. You still don’t know his first name and he doesn’t seem inclined to tell you.
During the dinner… nights with John, you’ve started noticing that your food isn’t quite as well done as his? Less decorated, occasionally burnt or not cooked well, but you don’t want to cause any trouble so you remain silent and John never asks why you seem to eat so little.
You do also meet Duke Riley, the man that John is said to have an incredibly close friendship with, something born during his time servicing the kingdom. You’ve heard so much about him, from bad to good, and you wonder how he actually is.
In the end, you wish you hadn’t met him, too. The humiliation of being flat-out ignored in your own home while he speaks amicably with John…
So yes. Life as Duchess Price isn’t a happy one, but you are just glad you aren’t physically hurting.
But you do find solace in the only kindness your parents had bothered to show you before they gave you away; your personal knight, König. He is the only one to not treat you as such. He is the only one you can confide in, feel just a little bit of happiness and friendship with even if you haven’t even seen his face yet.
“I’m so tired,” you whisper to him one night, under the blanket of the night sky. You’d thrown a simple shawl over your shoulders, and hadn’t questioned it when he fell in steps behind you, always a protective shadow. Today had been hard. You had also decided to no longer dine with John, not too excited about the lackluster food and the stilted conversations. Cold maids, lonely night… you ached for something more.
You take in a shuddering breath, wrapping the shawl tighter around yourself. Konig stands right beside the bench you are sitting on, a familiar and comforting sight and presence. But tonight, it’s not enough. “I’m so tired, König.” You repeat, your voice cracking.
König simply stares at you for a while; you are used to it, used to everything about him. The mask, the accent, the unyielding body that is always keeping you safe. The quiet congestions you have had, during the days you lock yourself away in your office to ignore the loneliness and sadness plaguing you.
You aren’t used to seeing König bend down in front of you, holding his hands out until you place them in his. Familiar pale eyes peer up at you. Proper etiquette doesn’t matter to you in this moment; who will chastise you for the lack of it when this entire duchy holds only the most basic form of respect for you?
Even if they did, you would not let go of König, your confidant. Your knight.
“…What do you need, mylady?”
After a silent moment, you take in a deep breath and look back at him. “…I want… someone who loves me enough to be kind towards me. I want someone who loves me.”
König nods his head. With bated breath, you watch silently as he brings your hands forward, under his mask, to kiss each knuckle on your hands.
“I am your knight, mylady. I am your sword, and your shield. I, too, can be your lover if that is what you want, mylady. Whatever you desire, it is my duty to provide.” König breathes out against your skin, eyes not once flicking away, words not once breaking. He is fully devoted in his decision. “Will you allow me, mylady? The decision is your, always has been. I cannot take you away from this horrible place-“ not yet. “-but I can give you my love and devotion, just as I’ve always done. Will you allow me, mylady?”
And after everything you’ve been through, all the pain and loneliness and exclusion- you can’t say no.
“…Yes, König.”
(By the time John begins to realize that he may have misjudged you, once you find out the truth, it is already far too late for mending any bridges. There is no particular feeling when you look at him, or any of his men. You only ask that no one bothers your time alone with your shadow, your knight. It’s far too late for anything.)

Introducing The Kings to Your Plushies
me and my bestie have a joke about my faves showing up to my place for sex and i would not realize and just start talking about my plushies based on this dumb post we saw once, thought it'd be funny to turn into an actual scenario lol might do this for the other devils, angels, minhyeok if the ppl are interested lol notes: mildly sexual - not really anything deeply insane, gender neutral reader !!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Satan
On one hand, he thinks you're really cute. On the other hand, he's here to fuck so.
He's going back and forth so much in his head for a moment he's not even paying attention to you talking oops.
Gets so frustrated and angered from trying to decide what to do it ultimately ends with him just jumping on you.
Cut you off mid word with an incredibly heat filled kiss from rage.
Honestly you might not even 100% be certain what happened but you're not complaining!! You can always talk about the rest of your plushies later!!!
Well. If Satan doesn't fuck you until the point you're resting for the next couple days.
Once he actually pays attention to you talking about them he'll remember some names here and there, but he will get them wrong on purpose to try and see you angry lol.
Tumblr media
Mammon
The reality is he probably got you most of these plushies.
He adores seeing how you cherish them and the lore you've decided for them!!
Will remember every single detail you tell him about them!!
He thinks it's super cute and will humor you for the moment.
However, Mammon will get what he wants eventually. But for right now you're so adorable how could he tell you no?
He is DEFINITELY teasing you later once he does get to sleep with you about how cute you are.
This man lives to see you embarrassed and shy from his compliments.
Is probably buying you even MORE plushies now, hope you're prepared for that!
Tumblr media
Leviathan
I think it depends at the point in your relationship, if it's early on he might just toss the plushies aside and get to the point of what he wants.
Later on I do think he genuinely listens, even if he's impatient and pretends like he doesn't care. If it's important to you he does care, just doesn't always show it.
Especially if you use the plushies as a form of comfort due to trauma or any other issues.
You won't even realize how much he paid attention until he refers to your plushies by their names if you accidentally leave them laying around.
However he does still get jealous so so easily so maybe try not to spend too much time at once focusing on them rather than him.
He tries so hard but eventually the jealousy will overtake him and he will just get straight to the sex.
For what it's worth, he still found you cute! He just can't help himself.
Tumblr media
Beelzebub
I'm not gonna lie, you might be able to successfully distract him for a good bit.
Dude's invested in the names and lore and anything you have created for them!!! He likes hearing about it !!!!
He isn't gonna be able to remember every single bit of these details but he might remember some of it here and there. Either way he likes listening to how you talk about them!
That being said he can only sit still for so long so maybe introduce him a little at a time lmao.
Especially because once he DOES start to get distracted he's gonna remember the original reason he was here.
And well. Yeah just like that it's time to fuck!
Because you successfully distracted him for a bit you might be in store for an extra long session this time so! Good luck!
Tumblr media
Lucifer
He listens fully. Wants to hear everything you have to say about them.
He finds the plushies super cute, so he enjoys listening to your ramblings, even if he had certain intentions when he arrived.
But most importantly, he's so endeared, you're so absolutely adorable to him. The way your face lights up when you talk about them, he can't get enough!!!!
So he lets you have your moment.
And when you're finally done is when he's actually gonna fuck you lol. Yeah, that was still happening he had a goal.
And if he's teasing you extra specially tonight, don't even worry about it (whether it be from compliments or degradation who's to say!! just know you're gonna be crying extra hard this time he's so worked up from how cute you are!).
Of course, he remembers every single detail you tell him, he has that shit committed to memory. Asks you questions sometimes to see that adorable look on your face again!
Tumblr media
Belphegor
Goodnight.
He tries to pay attention but he's ready to fall asleep apologies.
He showed up for sex and when it wasn't happening his brain turned off.
That being said the second you realize he's asleep and start trying to wake him up he's on you!!
Like okay conversation done we're fucking now right?
It's just easier to give what he wants and lecture him in the process.
It's fine he tries to listen later. That being said if he invites Beleth to listen too don't worry about it. He totally didn't tell him to memorize details for him because he's probably gonna fall asleep again.
Tumblr media
Asmodeus
Sorry there's just no way to distract this man from sex.
If he's showing up for sex he's here to for sex !!!!
And he WILL get it!!!
If anything he just starts fucking you while holding up the plushies to you and asking you details about them.
Unfortunately you're kinda too fucked out by that point to truly answer them.
He's a fucking menace apologies.
And he cannot be stopped I fear.
That being said any information he does manage to get out of you he does fully remember!!
It's his own weird way of showing affection, ya know?

WHY did Motherspore target Jimmy out of everyone else??
Tumblr media
First of all, let me tell you, I had been thinking of making this post for a while, and it was originally going to be me sharing my thoughts and going crazy with theories hehe
But it turns out there's ALREADY an answer to this question, that was hinted at in Maruu and Doody's streams a couple of times, which I found out extremely late because I can never catch those live.
Still, I thought so long and hard on this, that I decided I would share my thought process anyways! Show you how deep I went before ever knowing if I was delusional or not hwjsjwjs
So here goes nothing!
~~~
For starters, I wanna say I was initially under the impression that Jimmy's involvement in the Motherspore incident had been, for the most part, COLLATERAL DAMAGE. Like it was mainly a mix of negative factors, and maybe also Jimmy's infamous bad luck lol, that got him in that situation.
I imagined he'd been one of the many people to have fainted at the start of the whole mess, and having probably done so in his office (a more isolated place than a classroom or a break-room where most people were), he had been the easiest target; secluded enough that Motherspore had managed to capture him without any trouble or interference from anyone.
That sounded like a likely scenario! And considering it probably wasn't very important, I didn't dwell on it too much...
That was, until we got to Chapter 15, and most importantly, HOTGUY'S INTERROGATION.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because Hotguy brings to attention that Jimmy's position in all this is actually quite suspicious. He remarks that Jimmy had been the only person to remain in the building, when everyone else had been evacuated, which then led him to be the most difficult one to find and rescue. He wonders if there's a possibility that he stayed behind ON PURPOSE.
And while it's important to note that all of this is stated with the ill-intention of triggering Grian and forcing him to talk, it is undeniably TRUE that Jimmy's situation had been unlike anybody else's.
In fact, once I started thinking about it, I realized there's something actually odd that happened, that didn't see anyone mention and was particular to Jimmy's case... and that is that Motherspore actually fought to GET HIM BACK.
Tumblr media
Think about the way Motherspore acted when everyone was evacuating the building, or rather, how she DIDN'T ACT. Sure, people were fainting, which I don't know if it was an intentional move on her part or simply a side-effect of the spores in the air, but with some help they were all able to get out safely.
And she let it happen, and not because she lacked the power to stop it. She could've had people trapped in the fungus like Jimmy was, she could've covered the exits in it so people wouldn't be able to escape, she could've attacked Hotguy the second he stepped in to help, yet she didn't.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But when JIMMY was the one being taken away?? She willed the fungus to grab at him and drag him back towards her, proceeded to literally pounce on Hotguy. And judging by the shocked look on his face, we can assume and confirm that was the first time he was met with resistance and hostility on this foe's end.
So after pondering all this I suddenly went HOLD ON. What if Jimmy being captured wasn't just an unfortunate coincidence? Because it's starting to look as if he was intentionally singled out... OMG what if he was actually TARGETED???
And oh boy did that set me off.
I rapidly started coming up with quite a few ideas as to why that could've been the case. Could it have simply been because he's related to Grian?? Or because he's also a witch?? Maybe specifically because of his mind-reading ability?? And so on.
Tumblr media
BUT, as I said before, there's already a kinda answer to this question, as to why Motherspore went after Jimmy, that was revealed in one of Maruu and Doody's streams, which might be the reason why lots of people like myself hadn't heard about it.
Doody responded that the one thing they could say about the matter is that it was important to remember that Motherspore is fundamentally STILL GRIAN, just taken to a more primal, slightly fucked up level. They mentioned that this version of Grian is guided primarily by instinct, and I quote, "is protecting the things that are dear to him and attacking what seems like a threat."
And OMG do you know what this MEANS??
It means that yes, Motherspore did target Jimmy, but not exactly for the reasons I first suspected. It wasn't because she had wanted to hurt him or use him in any way, but because she had wanted to PROTECT HIM!! That's why she hid him away from everyone else, and why she went to greater lengths to keep him there!!
And dude I just think that's so sweet 😭 that even in a corrupted state of mind, Grian was able to recognize his cousin and still strived to keep him safe no matter what <3
And I think this is very important information to have, because it makes their interaction in Chapter 14 even MORE heartbreaking than it already was.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because we know Grian was DEVASTATED to see Jimmy hurt, and even more horrified at the notion that he had likely been the cause of it. And I just know that guilt is part of the reason why he denied his offering to stay, why he decides to push him away. He believes it would be safer for Jimmy to keep his distance, even if it breaks both their hearts.
And this is so incredibly sad because Grian DOESN'T KNOW. He doesn't know that Motherspore never wished Jimmy any harm, that in her own messed-up way, she tried to defend him from everything.
He has no idea that caring for Jimmy is such a core part of him that no version of himself could ever do otherwise...
Anyways they make me sick <3 can't wait to read and find out more!!!
~~~
TLDR: Found out Motherspore didn't capture Jimmy for malicious reasons, but because Grian was unconsciously trying to protect him, and now I'm emotional :'(

24 - Logos
Aaron Hotchner x fem!bau!reader Genre: fluff, hurt/comfort, SMUT Summary: A few weeks ago, Aaron had read a passage from Plato's Symposium - "And when one of them meets the other half, the actual half of himself... the pair are lost in an amazement of love and friendship and intimacy, and one will not be out of the other's sight, even for a moment." He hadn’t fully understood it. Not until he found himself sitting on your couch at 3 a.m. Warnings: + 18 MINORS DNI (I will ground you) alcohol consumption, some cuss words here and there, VERY GRAPHIC AND DESCRIPTIVE SEX because I'm a weirdo, it's basically porn with philosophy (not in the middle of it - of course - I'm not that weird), dirty talk, unprotected sex, piv, oral sex and a lot of pining. Hotch is a whore. Word Count: 18.9k Dado's Corner: I don’t know, I’m both proud and deeply insecure about posting this. It’s my first time writing smut. Ever. I have no idea if it’s good. No idea if it’s too much or too little - if I over-explained things or if I didn’t explain enough. It’s their first time actually sober, and they’re supposed to be a little cringe - uncertain, hesitant, not entirely sure what to do with each other or where they fit and that’s deliberate. I wanted it to feel real - flawed, messy, something that isn’t just perfect and seamless, but human. There’s good and bad, there’s laughter and uncertainty, there are tears of joy and tears of fear. And I just hope it feels like something.

In Stoic philosophy, logos represents the rational principle that governs the universe, uniting logic, physics, and ethics into a cohesive worldview. It is the divine reason permeating all existence, structuring nature according to order and necessity.
In Stoic logic, logos manifests as the foundation of rational thought, guiding human reasoning toward clarity and truth. Mastery of logic enables individuals to distinguish between valid judgments and deceptive impressions, ensuring alignment with reality.
In physics, logos is the active, organizing force (pneuma) that sustains and directs the cosmos. Everything unfolds according to its rational design, making the universe an interconnected, purposeful whole rather than a realm of randomness.
In ethics, living in accordance with logos means harmonizing one’s will with nature’s rational order. By cultivating wisdom, self-discipline, and virtue, individuals align their actions with universal reason, achieving tranquility and moral integrity in a world shaped by necessity and change.
Tumblr media
Happiness is a complex concept - or at least, it became one once thinkers like Aristotle started overanalyzing it.
He distinguished between fleeting pleasure (hedonia) and deeper fulfillment (eudaimonia), and ever since, that debate has been stitched into the fabric of western culture.
Now, most people unknowingly follow this hierarchical model of happiness, never realizing it originated from a handful of bored, existentially troubled men desperately trying to intellectualize their own misery.
Maybe that’s why it’s considered completely normal to ask if someone is really happy - because centuries of philosophy decided that happiness alone isn’t enough – it had to be the right kind of happiness.
And yet, even you weren’t immune to that trap. Because standing there, dancing with Aaron, you admitted to yourself that you were, in fact, truly happy.
Not just for yourself, but for him - for the man who, for the first time since signing his divorce papers a few months ago finally looked light. Not weighed down. Not lost in some invisible battle in his mind. Just… happy.
And the moment felt so sweet, a microcosm where locking eyes with each other was ordinary conduct in such close proximity, where neither of you felt the need to temper that undeniable - if slightly terrifying - undercurrent of chemistry.
Just the understanding that this was safe, that this was allowed.
And somehow, that made it even sweeter.
Not just the warmth of it, not just the effortless way you fit into this tight space together, but the inescapable fact that your probably borderline-manipulative plan to drag him out of his self-imposed exile - had actually worked.
Tumblr media
"Now you have to tell me how you managed to get not only Rossi but Hotch to join us tonight, sweet Teach - what kind of sorcery did you pull?" Penelope beamed, not even giving you a second to breathe after you’d opened the door to your apartment.
Ever since she got shot and still struggled with being alone in her house, the two of you had built this little ritual - getting ready together, spending a few hours just the two of you in your apartment before a night out.
A win-win, really, considering you also took your time settling into this place, figuring out how to make it feel like home. Penelope had even been the one to help you unpack your very last box, and now this little tradition had taken root.
She brought the wine, you experimented with vegan appetizers - some more successful than others - and the two of you would rant, gossip, and talk about everything and nothing. But, most importantly, Penelope took on the herculean mission of wrangling your ridiculously high-maintenance team into one place for a night out.
It was a diplomatic nightmare. The venue had to be quiet enough for Spencer but still have music good enough for Derek, serve whatever mocktail JJ was obsessed with that month, and somehow accommodate Emily’s inevitable last-minute curveballs - which, incidentally, was how Spencer found himself at a drag show for the first time.
Shockingly, he’d been asking to go back to that bar ever since.
You, meanwhile, were more like Penelope’s unpaid secretary. She desperately needed one, given the sheer level of effort it took to coordinate this mess.
"You asked, and I delivered," you said, shrugging. "Told Rossi that Hotch was coming, told Aaron that Rossi was coming too - he actually turned out to be much easier to persuade."
"I wonder why… oh, right," Penelope sing-songed, eyes gleaming. "Big Bossman has a soft spot for you, smiley little thing."
You rolled your eyes. "The fact that we’re friends doesn’t change that he is infuriatingly stubborn once he makes up his mind. So annoying."
"Nine years of ‘friendship’" Penelope quipped, stretching the word out suspiciously.
"Actually, it’s ten," you corrected, sipping your wine as you settled onto your kitchen stool.
Penelope gasped - full dramatic hand-to-chest gasp. "Oh my STARS and MOONS! Ten years?! And you didn’t tell me?! What did you do? What did he do? Just the two of you , alone somewhere private, existing in your natural secretive habitats like the little pretty, reserved, woodland creatures you two are… especially now that he’s divor-"
"Whoa, whoa, slow down, Pen!" you cut her off before she could run that train straight off the rails. "How many times have I told you we're-"
But no. She didn’t let you finish.
"Oh, Teach!" she grinned, eyes sparkling enough to concern you. "I was just suggesting you two do something to celebrate… something you two love to do. You know, stay up all night bonding over files… bending over files…"
You choked.
Actually choked.
Wine went straight up your nose, burned your throat, and splattered all over you, going everywhere.
Your counter.
Your floor.
Your poor, innocent, pristine white pants.
Penelope screamed - but not in horror, in absolute, unhinged delight.
"OH MY GOD," she cackled, slapping a hand against your back like that would somehow help you breathe again. "I HAVE NEVER BROKEN YOU SO FAST."
You wheezed, still coughing. "Penelope-"
She wiped a fake tear from her eye, grinning. "Oh no, sweet pea. You absolutely just got - wait." She paused mid-celebration, tilting her head as if she had just made a discovery.
Then, in a tone far too calm for the amount of damage she was about to inflict - "Much like I imagine Aaron Hotchner could do."
A horrible, inhuman noise clawed its way out of your throat - your last dying breath, probably.
Penelope lost it. Full-body laughter, already snatching a towel but making zero effort to hide the criminal glint in her eyes.
"I’m just saying," she went on, barely containing herself, "you and Mr. Tall, Dark, and Emotionally Repressed have this whole agonizingly slow-burn, will-they-won’t-they, tragic yearning thing going on, and you know I’m right."
You groaned, dabbing furiously at the stain. "There is nothing slow-burn about a decade-long friendship."
"Aha! So you admit it’s a burn!" Penelope beamed, pointing at you like she had just cracked a conspiracy wide open.
The more you dabbed, the worse it got - just like this conversation, apparently. "Oh, no, I never-”
"All I’m saying is," she steamrolled over you, completely unfazed, "the energy you two radiate is so thick I could slather it on a bagel. Toasted chemistry. Smothered in slow-burn spread. One time I saw him look at you like you personally hand-crafted happiness from scratch just for him. Like you reached into the fabric of the universe and said, ‘Here you go, Hotchner, a reason to believe in joy again.’"
You paused, glaring at her. "That is insane."
She ignored you, fully in the zone now. "And don’t even get me started on the way you look at him when he isn’t paying attention."
You looked at him completely normally. Totally neutral. A textbook, regulation-approved gaze.
Even Anderson looked at him with more fervor than you ever did - and as far as you knew, he wasn’t even into men.
You scoffed, crossing your arms. "And how exactly do I look at him, Penelope? Enlighten me."
She grinned - dangerously - and leaned in like she was about to drop the biggest bombshell of your life. "Like you already know what he looks like naked and are trying very, very hard not to think about it."
You froze.
For exactly half a second - which, unfortunately, was half a second too long.
Penelope’s entire face dropped. Eyes huge. Mouth hanging open. A moment of stunned silence. And then-
"OH. MY. GOD."
Your stomach plummeted. "Penelope, don’t-"
"OH MY GOD. YOU DID."
"Penelope," you tried again, desperately attempting to rein in the chaos - but, to your credit, you did at least try to keep your voice level.
"JESUS, MARY, AND EMILY PRENTISS, YOU TOTALLY DID THE HORIZONTAL TANGO WITH AARON HOTCHNER. YOU SNEAKY LITTLE MINX. HOW DARE YOU HIDE THIS FROM ME?!"
"Penelope, for the love of-" you started, but of course she chimed in again.
"WHEN?! WHERE?! HOW?! DETAILS, WOMAN!"
You exhaled through your nose, dragging a hand down your face because there was no getting out of this.
"Once," you muttered. "Nine years ago."
Silence.
Then, with the most scandalized expression you've ever witnessed on her face, she shrieked, "ONLY ONCE?!"
You threw your hands up. "Yes, only once! And never again."
"WHY ONLY ONCE?!" she shrieked, as if you had just admitted to committing the single greatest injustice known to mankind.
You exhaled, bracing yourself, hoping that a little honesty might finally get her to calm down. "Because, at the time… I might have had a bit of a crush on him. And we were coworkers. And it wasn’t exactly… ethic-"
"FUCK THE ETHICAL!" she screamed, thrilled by the sheer scandal of it all.
You should have seen that coming."Penelope!"
She flailed her arms so violently she nearly knocked over her wine glass, eyes wide "You had a crush on him?! ON HOTCH?! AND YOU ONLY DID IT ONCE?! Oh, I cannot with you right now. You are so infuriating sometimes! You have the emotional restraint of a saint, and I do not mean that as a compliment."
"We were both drunk, and it was a mistake. It happened, we moved on, and that was the end of it. We’re friends, and that’s all it’s ever going to be." you said, unwavering. " Honestly, I don’t even think about it anymore - sometimes, I even laugh about it."
Penelope squinted, gears visibly turning in that devious head of hers, already cooking up something absolutely unhinged. "Mmm-hmm. Okay. Fine. Sure. Let’s pretend I accept that. But-"
Oh no.
"-if it were to happen again, hypothetically speaking, do you think it would be even better now that he’s aged like a fine, expensive, top-shelf wine? And, and, anddd - follow-up question - on a purely objective, scientific level - how would you rate him? You know, visually?"
"Penelope!" you groaned, but unfortunately, your traitorous brain had already started answering the question.
Yes.
And no comment.
"Okay, okay, fine, no ratings," she huffed dramatically, rolling her eyes so hard you were surprised she didn't sprain something. "But-"
This was it. Your moment. Time to end this madness with a good old, firm, satisfying -"No."
But, of course, that would have been too good to be true.
She continued "-would you say he's more on the impressively sized side or-"
"Penelope, please." You were already suffering.
She waved you off like your dignity was a minor inconvenience to her scientific research. "Listen, I’m just saying," she went on, tone now fully deranged, "the man carries himself like he’s got something to be confident about. Big hands, big energy, big…"
You froze. "Do not finish that sentence."
"BIG, HUGE D-"
Time to draw the line.
You shot up so fast your chair went flying, rattling against the floor as you grabbed your phone.
Penelope screeched. "Wait - what are you doing?!"
You scrolled, thumb unwavering, and hit call. "Giving you a direct source."
Her soul left her body. "NO. NO, YOU WOULD NOT-"
You absolutely would.
And you did.
"Come on," you said, completely deadpan, as the dial tone rang. "It’s just Aaron."
Penelope malfunctioned. She glitched like a corrupted file. She stared at you, horrified, mouth moving but no sound coming out.
"He’s just 'Aaron' to you?" she whispered, her hands flailed before slamming onto the table as if physically stabilizing herself. "No last name? No title? Just oh, you know, my casual little ex-lover, Aaron? Just ‘hello, this is a man I have been biblically familiar with, Aaron?’ Just ‘we had sex nine years ago, and now he’s simply Aaron, like we’re old college roommates and not two people who have seen each other naked’"
…Hmm. Well. Yes?
To be fair, you’d never really thought about it before. It just… happened. One day, he was Hotch, then - sometime after that night - he was Aaron. And after that, you never really stopped.
No big discussion, no conscious decision - just a shift so seamless that you hadn’t even registered it until right now, in this very moment, with Penelope practically having a full-body breakdown in your kitchen.
Not important. Moving on.
Because, frankly, you had bigger concerns - like how you were about to experience instant, irreversible consequences for your actions, since the call, after one, two, three rings-
Connected.
"Hello?" His voice came through the line - slightly huffed, a little breathless, like he’d just moved across the room.
"You took a while to pick up," you said casually - a joke, a throwaway comment.
There was a pause. A beat.
And then, in that deadly flat, unbothered tone of his, he answered, "I was still in the shower."
You froze.
Penelope froze.
Somewhere, on the opposite side of your living room wall, your elderly neighbor Mrs. Lee - who had been subtly not subtly eavesdropping through the thin drywall of your apartment - probably froze.
You could feel Penelope vibrating beside you, gripping your arm so tightly she was cutting off circulation, meanwhile, your brain was running in circles, slamming against metaphorical walls, and screaming into the void because-
Aaron in the shower.
Aaron, freshly out of the shower.
Aaron, picking up the phone, standing there, probably half-naked, hair wet-
No. Nope. Absolutely not.
You leaned back against the counter, schooling your expression into something completely unfazed. "Well, now I feel bad for interrupting."
"I doubt that," he said dryly. "Is something wrong?"
"Not at all. It’s just that Penelope had something very important to ask you," you said, glancing over at her with the most innocent, borderline sadistic smile you could muster.
"I - what - no, I don’t-" she sputtered, frantically shaking her head and waving her hands.
Aaron, still completely unaware of the impending disaster, said, "What is it, Penelope?"
Dead silence.
Garcia looked like she had been struck by divine retribution.
"Go on," you mouthed, biting back a grin. "Ask him."
She opened her mouth. Closed it. Opened it again.
Nothing.
Just the sound of sheer existential regret.
"Garcia?" Aaron prompted, his tone patient, if slightly concerned.
"I - um - hi, sir Sir," she finally managed, voice several octaves higher than usual. "I - I just - well, you know - um. How was your shower?"
You slapped a hand over your mouth to keep from screaming.
Aaron, completely unfazed, just answered like this was a normal human interaction,"It was fine."
"Good! That’s great!" Garcia blurted, nodding furiously at no one in particular. "Love a good shower! Love hygiene! So important! Huge fan of cleanliness! Showering - what a concept! Water? Incredible. Soap? Revolutionary. Scrubbing? Life-changing. Anyway, I have to go bye!"
And then she hung up so fast it was a miracle she didn’t break the phone.
You just stared at her.
She just stared back.
Then, in perfect sync -
You both screamed, laughing.
"You traitor!" Penelope wheezed, still half-laughing, half-mortified.
"You were the one who wanted answers!" you gasped, nearly crying from laughter.
"Not from him directly!" she shrieked, burying her face in her hands like that could somehow reverse time - but she was laughing anyway, because this was, undeniably, the funniest and most horrifying thing that had ever happened.
"Well, I just saved you the effort," you teased.
She ripped her hands away from her face, wild-eyed. "You made me ask our boss about his shower."
"You made me listen to your entire dissertation on whether or not he’s impressively sized - I feel like we’re even."
You still somehow winced thinking back about it.
She groaned, collapsing against the counter. "I will never recover from this."
"Oh, I’m sure you absolutely will," you said, reaching for the wine bottle. "Do you want more wine?"
She lifted her head just enough to nod. Begrudgingly.
You poured, sliding her glass across the counter. Then, with the kind of magnanimous generosity only wine-fueled chaos could inspire, you added, "And - because I am a good friend - I will allow you one question about that night. One. With a detail."
Penelope snapped upright faster than the speed of light, gasping. "Oh, this is the best day of my life."
You chuckled, shaking your head, sipping from your own glass too. "Make it count."
She took a deep breath, steadied herself, and then, she leaned in and whispered- "Was it at least good enough that you'd do it sober?"
You nearly choked, again. "Penelope!"
She lifted a hand. "No, no, no, this is a very fair, very respectable question."
Sure, a question that required another sip of wine to be answered, especially because at this point you literally had nothing more to lose. "Penelope, I would do it sober, wide awake, fully caffeinated, after eight hours of sleep, in a well-lit room, with a legally binding contract ensuring I’d remember every single second."
Penelope screamed.
"OH MY GOD," she wailed, collapsing onto the counter. "THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE NIGHT."
You took another sip, completely unfazed, as she flailed so hard she nearly launched herself off the stool.
"I NEED TO LIE DOWN," she gasped, gripping onto the counter for support. "I NEED TO CALL EMILY. JJ – OH SWEET LITTLE JJ – SHE’S IN NEW ORLEANS SHE DOESN’T EVEN KNOW”
"You need to calm down," you deadpanned.
She pointed at you, accusatory, still half-breathless from screaming. "You were gonna take this to the grave. You were gonna let me die not knowing this. ME. PENELOPE GARCIA. The person who has kept all of your secrets and asked for nothing in return except unfiltered chaos."
"I was absolutely going to take this to the grave," you confirmed, refilling your wine.
She let out a dramatic gasp. "YOU MONSTER."
You shrugged. "You survived."
She slammed a hand on the table. "You know who wouldn’t have survived?"
You tilted your head. "Who?"
She leaned in, eyes glinting. "Aaron Hotchner."
You made a low, strangled noise in the back of your throat.
"Oh, he absolutely wouldn’t have survived if he knew this just came out of your mouth," she continued, giddy, thriving off the absolute chaos she had unleashed. Then, dead serious - "Text him right now and tell him."
You slammed your wine down. "I am definetely not texting him that."
"Why not?!" she howled.
"Because I told you - I’m never doing that. Ever. I’m serious. If I could go back in time and relive that sober? Sure. But not. Now."
She narrowed her eyes, assessing, calculating.
"Okay, okay, alright then - next question." she said too fast, taking a sip like she was preparing for battle. "Do you think he’d do it sober?"
You opened your mouth - but nothing came out. Because you hadn’t actually thought about that before.
Penelope gasped so loudly that you were surprised the walls didn’t shake. "OH MY GOD, YOU DON’T KNOW."
"I-"
"OH MY GOD, WHAT IF HE THINKS ABOUT IT, WHAT IF HE REGRETS NOT DOING IT AGAIN."
"Penelope," you said slowly, carefully, " you know what? I have reached my limit. This conversation is getting put away. We are going to the bathroom, I am curling your hair, and we are talking about something else."
"You know, Teach," she mused, stretching luxuriously as she grabbed her wine glass. "You have a really weird way of showing love."
You took a slow sip of wine, watching her over the rim of your glass. “I agree - it’s because I hate you just as much as I love you, PG. Opposites aren’t really opposites, you know? They kind of fold into each other - love, hate… same fire, same burn. Maybe that’s why it’s so hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.”
You were actually proud of this philosophical pearl of wisdom. Penelope? Not so much.
She cut you off immediately. "Oh my GOD, this explains so much. This is exactly why you and Hotch looked like you were about to fuck in the middle of the bullpen yesterday."
"PENELOPE."
She pointed at you, completely unbothered. "OH NO NO NO - I was sitting there, minding my own business, when suddenly you two were arguing about the profile like you were in some kind of battle for dominance, standing way too close, talking way too low, making way too much direct eye contact."
"We were disagreeing about the profile."
"YOU WERE HAVING A MENTAL THREESOME WITH THE PROFILE BETWEEN YOU."
You let your head drop onto the counter.
She kept going. "It was totally foreplay - and then, mid-argument, he even took you to his office."
You lifted your head just enough to glare at her. "We went to his office to continue the discussion in private."
"Sure..." she grinned, skipping toward the bathroom. "Fine, fine. But just so you know," she threw a look over her shoulder, "if Hotch ever does take you to his office for anything other than work, I expect a full report."
Oh fucking hell.
"I hope your curls come out uneven," you muttered, grabbing the curling iron.
"I hope you get stuck in an elevator with him," she shot back.
You narrowed your eyes. "I hope you trip in your heels tonight."
She grinned wider. "I hope Hotch sits across from you at the bar and just stares at your lips the whole time."
You scoffed. "I hope your mascara smudges so bad you look like a raccoon by the end of the night."
She perked up. "I hope you two sneak away to the bathrooms at the bar, and you have to keep quiet while he-"
"PENELOPE."
She continued, undeterred, "I hope he backs you up against the bar, leans down all serious like he’s about to tell you something important - and then just whispers the filthiest thing you’ve ever heard."
"I hope you break a heel on the way there and have to borrow one of Morgan’s sneakers."
"I hope he offers you his jacket and you realize it still smells like his cologne and suddenly you’re thinking about it again."
"I hope you stub your toe so hard you rethink everything."
"I hope he says your name in that low voice of his, and for a split second, you remember exactly what he sounded like nine years ago-"
"I hope you spill something on your dress and have to go home early."
She cackled, victorious. "I hope you wake up in his bed and don't regret a single thing."
Tumblr media
And maybe, exactly because the two of you had this conversation, you shouldn’t have agreed to go to the bar together in a single car – hers.
You should have seen this coming.
Indeed, as you and Aaron made your way back to the bar, drinks in hand, you spotted Derek and Penelope approaching with a very specific look on their faces.
Derek clapped a hand on your shoulder and said, "Teach - Babygirl had too many drinks to drive, I’m bringing her back home, can-"
Aaron didn’t even let him finish.
"I’ll give the professor a ride," he said immediately, smooth, confident, like he had already made up his mind before Derek even spoke. "You go, Morgan. See you tomorrow morning."
You barely had time to process how utterly inevitable this was - how there was no escaping the tension that had been building up all night until the very moment you stepped out of his car and reached your apartment door.
And then - Penelope smirked.
The smuggest, most self-satisfied, most evil little smirk in existence. You hoped, deeply and sincerely, that this wasn’t her plan all along - but judging by the way she waved so innocently as Derek dragged her away, eyes twinkling like the devil himself-
Yeah. You were doomed.
You were doomed the second you and Aaron stepped out of the bar and, with zero effort, he pushed open the massive, heavy wooden door like it weighed nothing at all. Casual. Effortless. Like he hadn’t even thought about it.
Just naturally stepped aside, one hand braced firmly on the doorframe, the other resting lightly against the door, waiting – watching - as you walked past him.
You were even more doomed when you reached his car and - of course - he opened the passenger seat for you too.
Didn’t even let you reach for it yourself.
Just beat you to it with ease, pulling it open - but instead of walking away immediately, he lingered for half a second longer, his hand still resting on the handle, holding it just firmly enough so he could be the one to shut you in himself.
Like this wasn’t already a lost art. Like this was just how things were supposed to be.
To top it all off, he got in, and as he backed out of the parking spot, his arm reached behind your headrest, fingers resting exactly there, his body leaning in just slightly closer as he turned to glance over his shoulder.
You had never wanted to fight for your life more.
Not because of the closeness.
Not because of the way his short-sleeved polo shifted, muscles tensing subtly, biceps flexing just enough as he turned the wheel -
No.
It was because he chose this exact moment to mutter, in that low, distracted, completely serious voice, something about the structural failures of public infrastructure.
"Parking lots aren’t properly illuminated," he murmured, half to himself, half to you, as he pulled out of the space - leaning in just enough for you to be wrapped in the warmth of his woody cologne. "Streetlamps are too far apart - against regulation. Visibility’s compromised."
You blinked.
It was so incredibly Hotchner of him to be thinking about streetlamp regulations at a time like this that you nearly lost your mind.
But you couldn’t even react, because then he turned on the car radio. And instead of some normal, pre-set station, it booted right into his most recent activity.
Which meant - of course - it immediately picked up in the middle of whatever custom CD he had been listening to on the way to the bar.
You had exactly one second to register the unfamiliar tune before it clicked - this was from whatever Broadway musical he was currently obsessed with.
Oh, he was such a loser.
You turned your head toward him, but Aaron - unfazed, unbothered - simply reached forward and turned the volume down to a casual, background level.
Like this was all perfectly normal.
Like you hadn’t just caught him.
"Aaron." You bit back a smirk.
He kept his eyes firmly on the road, expression unreadable. "Hmm?"
"Which one is this?" you asked, already knowing the answer but needing him to say it out loud.
"Wicked," he muttered. Then, quickly -"I can change it."
"Oh no, no, don’t you dare, Hotchner." You chuckled, settling in. "Always wondered what your music taste sounds like."
He exhaled deeply. "It is not only this-" he started, trying, truly trying to make you understand the complexity of his other music tastes, to defend his honor, but – they just started singing. And he knew.
He knew.
You were never going to let him live this down. Better off saving his breath.
Hilarious, and the best part? He didn’t even know he was.
Halfway through, you tilted your head, listening. "So this whole song is about two girls absolutely hating each other because they’re complete opposites, but they’re forced to be roommates?"
"Pretty much, yes." His answer a little too quiet, and - though he tried to hide it - deeply embarrassed.
You grinned. "It kinda sounds like they have a crush on each other," you commented, trying your best not to notice how his fingers tapped the wheel, completely in rhythm with the song, while his face remained perfectly composed - extremely normal about something he so clearly wasn't at all.
"That’s the whole point," he said, deadpan, keeping it short.
"Oh “ You blinked. “Do they get together at the end?"
"Unfortunately not." He sounded so genuinely bitter about it that you nearly laughed. "They become best friends, though."
Though, judging by the way his gaze flicked toward you for half a second, he wasn’t entirely sure if you were still talking about the musical - or something else entirely.
Especially when you simply hummed, turning to look out the window. "Best friends."
"Yes. Best friends." His fingers tightened on the wheel.
And damn if you didn’t let the silence linger just a beat too long.
"They don’t get together because they’re completely different, so they’re not compatible?" you asked, your voice just a little too earnest.
"Not because of that," he started. "It’s because one of them becomes a political fugitive and is declared a national threat, while the other is essentially forced into being the corrupt government’s PR puppet."
Ah. Okay.
There was no possible way to explain it in a way that didn’t completely kill the mood - impossible, really. But he tried anyway.
"Although," he added, keeping his voice even, measured, like this was not something he had many thoughts on, "they do have a really dramatic goodbye, where they sing about how much they changed each other’s lives and how they’ll never be the same again."
He felt you turn toward him, and though he kept his eyes on the road, he felt it - that shift in your attention, God knows on what, though.
"Best friends," you repeated.
He gripped the wheel just a little too tight. "Best friends," he confirmed, again.
A beat. A pause. Too long.
"And you think it would have been better if they had been together?" Your question landed way too heavy, like you knew exactly how much weight it carried.
Like you knew exactly how his mind worked, how he had spent far too long thinking about this, not just in the context of some musical, but in general.
He exhaled, keeping his eyes fixed ahead, but his grip tightened again.
And then-
"Fuck yes," the words left his mouth way too fast.
So fast that he heard you laugh before he even saw you smile from the rereview mirror of the car.
And God - that laugh.
It wrecked him.
Not because it was loud or sudden, but because it was yours. Because it was real. Unguarded. Effortless. Because it was him that pulled it from you - and it was then, in that moment, that he knew.
He was so, so fucked.
Because this wasn’t new. This wasn’t some sudden realization, some reckless thought that had just wormed its way into his mind out of nowhere.
It had been there. For a long time. Ten whole years.
He had just never let himself look at it too closely.
Because if he did - if he let himself really think about it, about how he felt like he was burning alive every time you looked at him like that - it would be too much.
It would consume him.
And he could not, would not, risk this unless he was absolutely sure.
Unless he knew you wanted him too.
Unless he knew you burned for him the same way he was combusting for you in real time in this car.
And that terrified him, because he was not sure.
Because you laughed like it was just funny.
Because you smiled like this was just a conversation.
Because you did not look wrecked.
Not like he felt.
So instead, he cleared his throat, steadied his grip, and forced his voice into something casual, distant - yet still, somehow, not completely backing down. "You think they should have ended up together too, then?"
Not ‘do you think I’m wrong’.
Not ‘do you disagree’.
But  - you think so too.
Like some small, cowardly, pathetic part of him needed to hear you say it.
There was a pause - not a long one, not anything noticeable if he wasn’t paying attention. But he was.
He was paying attention to everything.
To the way your breath hitched just slightly, to the way your fingers twisted at the hem of your sleeve, to the way you turned your head to look at him.
“Obviously.” You gestured toward the radio. “You don’t harmonize so effortlessly with someone you’re just calling a ‘friend.’ That’s literally just denial with extra steps.”
He almost told you that harmonizing perfectly was the entire point of musical theater. That it was scripted, practiced, designed to fit together.
That it didn’t mean anything.
But he didn’t, because he knew what you meant. “So you believe in that?” he asked, voice steady, casual, like this was just another discussion.
You raised an eyebrow. “In what?”
His fingers tapped against the wheel, once, twice – thoughtful - before he finally spoke. "That some people are just... deluding themselves."
The shift was small, but he felt it. Your smile didn’t falter. Your posture didn’t change. But something in your expression - in your eyes specifically - shifted.
It was dangerous, talking to you like this.
Because you noticed too much. Because you understood more than most. Because you saw through things - through people - with a clarity that was often unnerving.
Especially when it came to him.
Especially when he wasn’t sure he was ready to be understood like that.
It was your job, afterall.
"Oh, absolutely," you said easily, your tone way too light for his liking. "People are the most oblivious to themselves. We exist in a perpetual state of contradiction - endlessly chasing clarity while fiercely protecting the illusions that comfort us. We reshape our own realities, bending them to fit the narratives we can live with, refusing to confront the truths that feel too heavy - even when they’re staring right at us."
And didn’t he know - hadn’t he always known - how precise you could be with words in moments like this? The moments where he wasn’t, the only moments where he wasn’t precise at all.
How effortlessly you could thread meaning into silence, weaving it into something he could either acknowledge or ignore.
How your gaze lingered just a fraction too long, like you were offering him a choice.
And he didn’t know whether to turn away from it - or step straight into it.
Because for once, he couldn’t read you and that terrified him.
He had spent his entire life seeing through people, understanding them before they even understood themselves.
Yet here he was, in the quiet of his car, in the space between you, not entirely sure who you were talking about.
And he wasn’t sure if he wanted to know.
So he did what he had always done.
He lived with it.
With the sound of his heart thundering louder than the music - louder than your occasional singing along when something familiar played, or the rhythm of your voice alternating with his as you both filled the car with conversation about everything and nothing.
Each block closer to your apartment building felt like a loss, something slipping through his fingers before he even had the chance to hold onto it. He was already mourning the night before it was over.
And neither of you seemed to want it to end, given how relentlessly the talking continued, stretching time as far as it would allow.
It wasn’t until half an hour later that it even occurred to either of you that you were standing outside in the cold, leaning against the driver’s side door, your arms wrapped around yourself in a futile attempt to keep warm. He was still in the car, window rolled down, engine still running, caught between staying and leaving.
It made him ache, interrupting you mid-sentence to point it out. “You’re shivering,” he said quietly, apologetic, as though he were to blame for the biting chill in the air.
It made him ache even more when, instead of brushing it off or saying goodnight, you invited him upstairs, at how his jacket was discarded somewhere along the short path to your building’s entrance, now draped over your shoulders along with his arm, pulling you closer.
It was ridiculous how, even with two jackets on, the only thing keeping you from freezing was his arm.
What was even more ridiculous - hideous, really - was how he should have been the one freezing, left in nothing but short sleeves, yet somehow, standing there with you wrapped up in him, he’d never felt warmer in his life.
So warm that he didn’t even notice the chill of the night.
So warm, in fact, that he didn’t even need the blanket you handed him when you both settled into your living room, waiting for the heating to kick in. He let it drape over his lap out of politeness more than necessity, as if pretending to care about staying warm.
Now, you sat on opposite ends of your couch, shoes abandoned by the door, both of you leaning on the armrest closest to the other, legs angled toward one another, the space between you steadily narrowing. Distance itself felt like an insult, your arms resting along the back of the couch so you could still face each other, still hold onto the moment that neither of you wanted to let slip away.
And he didn’t dare lose sight of your eyes.
It was in that exact moment that a memory surfaced—some weeks ago, sitting alone in his living room, reading Symposium, a book he only picked up because he had seen you so engrossed in it on the jet. Because he had wanted to understand what had captured your mind so entirely.
And everything that followed - a whole night of texting, deep conversations neither of you ever brought up again, like always.
His eyes had analyzed the book twice, dissected its structure, its meaning. And yet, only now, in the absence of it but in your presence, did he finally understand that one passage.
"And when one of them meets the other half, the actual half of himself… the pair are lost in an amazement of love and friendship and intimacy, and one will not be out of the other's sight, even for a moment."
He understood.
Because he couldn’t look away from you - not now, not ever.
The world outside was so quiet that every word exchanged between you felt magnified, as though the universe itself had leaned in to listen. And when even your whispers felt too loud, you shifted closer, scooching toward him on the couch.
Just a few inches at first.
And then he did the same.
You moved again. Then so did he.
And suddenly, your crossed leg was draped over his, the fabric of your tights brushing against his jeans as naturally as if it had always been there. His left hand settled somewhere near your knee - hesitant, not gripping, but resting. Shy.
The ticking clock on the wall was the only tether to the concept of time, because what he’d assumed to be ten, maybe fifteen minutes revealed itself to be a full hour.
3 A.M. And neither of you seemed to care.
By then, his hand had already found the courage to rest between your thighs, still safely on your knee. Though it didn’t take long before his thumb began moving on its own, tracing slow, idle patterns over the thin fabric of your tights.
He didn’t say anything about the way your foot brushed his calf, or how his name on your lips sounded softer in the early hours. Or at how all of this mutual care betrayed his mind, cracking open a small window to what it could have been.
Yet somehow, it felt far more like a glimpse of what it could be.
“Aaron,” your said, soft enough that it sounded more like a thought than a spoken word.
It wasn’t a question. It wasn’t even a statement. It was just his name. Him.
And somehow, that made it all the more devastating.
You hesitated, your eyes dropping to where his hand rested on your knee. He followed your gaze, and in that moment, even though he’d memorized every fleck of color in your irises, their absence felt like a loss.
So dull that his thumb stilled its movements across your knee under your inspection, as if the simple acknowledgment of the two of you now might shatter everything.
He braced himself for a shift - for the game you always played, where lines were drawn, and walls went back up. Where the closeness between you was something fleeting, fleeting enough to pretend it never existed.
But then, you looked back up.
And instead of retreat, instead of scolding or teasing or anything he expected, there was something else entirely. “I really don’t want this night to end.”
He wasn’t sure he’d heard you right, but the look in your eyes left no room for doubt. You weren’t just talking about the night… and neither was he.
But he didn’t know how to give you the honesty you deserved without completely unraveling, not until his thumb resumed its gentle movements on your knee - more to selfishly steady himself than anything else.
“Neither do I,” he admitted finally, even if each second was daring him to say more, to close the space between you entirely. But he didn’t move. Couldn’t. Not yet.
It was you who moved first.
Plato said that ‘At the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet.”
Maybe he was right, because as your hand slid down his arm, it felt like a verse being written. The way your fingertips barely grazed the surface of his skin, tracing the map of his veins with a tenderness you hadn’t realized you possessed, pretending the warmth under your fingertips didn’t make your stomach tremble, until finally, your touch lingered on his knuckles.
A pause, hesitant. Then, almost instinctively, you laced your fingers with his. It felt... inevitable. Natural in a way that terrified you.
“Didn’t expect you to be this warm,” you murmured, your voice light, almost teasing, though you couldn’t hide the way it trembled.
You finally found the courage to meet his eyes. Hazel. Searching. Devastating.
And you weren’t afraid of what you saw, you already knew. What terrified you was that, with one touch, you might have unraveled something too fragile to survive.
His gaze fell to your joined hands, his thumb gliding softly over the back of yours, speaking in the ineffable language of touch.
“I didn’t expect to feel this… right,” he said, the words so quiet they felt more like a confession than a statement.
The smallest smile tugged at your lips, and you leaned in just a little more. “Aaron…”
And that was it.
Whatever restraint he’d been holding onto slipped away entirely. Before he could overthink it, his hand came to rest against your cheek, his calloused palm cradling the softness of your face.
Gentle. Steady. Tender.
The contrast was almost startling, culminating in the soft whimper that escaped your lips as the cold metal of his watch grazed your neck. And so, apologetically, his thumb began to move, tracing gentle patterns along your cheek, as though committing every curve, every subtle shift, to memory.
You didn’t pull away.
Instead, your hand slid to his wrist, holding him there, your thumb tracing the same delicate patterns along his inner wrist, matching his movements with the same ease that echoed in the way you ordinarily mirrored each other’s posture, each other’s language.
His gaze flickered to your lips. “You have no idea how hard it is to stop myself here,” he just said, now without a hint of regret, not when your eyes searched his with the same intensity he felt pulling at his chest.
“You don’t have to,” you whispered, the words so soft they barely reached him, but he heard them as clearly as if you’d shouted.
His breath came shallow now, his gaze searching yours, as though looking for any sign of hesitation.
But there was none. Only the quiet, unspoken truth reflected back at him.
And so his other hand found your waist, pulling you closer - so close that, without thinking, you moved to straddle him, your knees settled on either side of his hips.
“I-” he stammered, as he looked at you wide-eyed tilting his head back slightly, before shaking his head, a breathless chuckle escaping him.
“Sorry,” you blurted, heat rushing to your face as you realized just how intimate the position you’d claimed truly was – the cruelty of not having even thought about it once before moving, how it was the only way to still communicate with his eyes.
“No,” he said quickly, almost shy, but the way his thumbs brushed your sides betrayed how much he didn’t want you to move. “Don’t apologize. I just wasn’t expecting it...” he trailed off, though you didn’t miss how his gaze flickered to your lips more than once.
“…Are you comfortable?” he asked softly, his eyes wandering across your face.
It wasn’t just a question; it was a moment stretched taut, as if he was buying himself time, wanting to keep this moment balanced on the edge of the razor for just a little longer.
On this space of tenderness, where care outweighed desire, where everything still hung in the balance, where there was still time to hold back, to savor the precipice, waiting for one of you to risk it.
You nodded. “Very.”
The smallest, warmest smile flickered across his lips. “I’m happy you are,” he murmured.
How could he be even so sweet? How could he, in the middle of this - when your body was pressed so close to his - still be so considerate, so cautious, so Aaron?
How could his hands, now steady on your waist, have only settled there after he’d murmured a careful, overly-polite, “May I?”, the formality of it, juxtaposed with the intensity of his touch, was enough to make you giggle.
“Please don’t smile at me like that when you’re this close,” he said, his voice dropping to a low rasp, his gaze fixed on your lips.
You couldn’t help but grin wider. “Why not?” your fingers brushing lightly against his jaw.
“Because,” he began, his lips twitching up, “it makes me forget how to think.”
Crazy, really. The idea that Aaron Hotchner, the most precise and methodical man you’d ever met, could forget how to think. Thinking was practically the core of his being, wasn’t it?
Cogito, ergo sum. I think, therefore I am.
Because if forgetting how to think meant losing himself, then you were the cause. You had undone him.
Shaken the core of a man who had carved his entire existence around reason – or at least, tried to fool everyone into thinking so. And now, here he was - disarmed by nothing more than a smile, a touch, and the mere proximity of your lips.
If existence is rooted in thought, and Aaron’s thoughts were consumed entirely by you, did that mean his existence was yours to hold? Did that mean, right now, he existed only because you allowed him to? Couldn’t be that.
Still, how dizzying it was to consider how quickly you’d become his undoing – yet, perhaps what was even more terrifying was the way he seemed to welcome it.
“You’re not wrong,” he murmured, his voice quiet but steady, like a confession meant just for you. His dark eyes searched yours, their intensity almost overwhelming. “You do undo me.”
Your breath caught. “How did you even manage-”
But he didn’t let you finish. His forehead pressed softly against yours, his nose brushing yours in the faintest of touches.
And so your eyes closed together, as if the nearness alone was too much to bear, especially when his lips hovered so close that you could feel the warmth of his breath.
How paradoxical it was that you both desperately craved each other’s mouths, yet now, in this unbearable closeness, neither of you could summon the courage to take the last step.
How you continued lingering in the tension, your breaths mingling, your bodies pressed so close that those strong hands of his, still firmly on your waist, urged you even further onto him.
Neither of you wanted to bear the responsibility of what came next. What was about to happen. What was meant to happen. It wasn’t a game anymore. You were done waiting.
You wanted him. Now.
You were ready - to let it all go.
“Aaron,” you whispered, looking into him.
And as always, he seemed to be the only one who understood you, he began to trail kisses across your face, soft, slowly, taking his time.
Your temple.
The side of your right eye.
The curve of your cheek.
Down to your jawline.
Then, he traced his way back up, planting one final kiss at the very edge of your mouth.
When he pulled back, intoxicated, his eyes found yours - wet, shining, unguarded, just like his.
“Please, ask me to stop,” he whispered, his voice breaking, his eyes already glistening with unshed tears.
“Aaron, I can’t,” you murmured, the words trembling on your lips as your breath mingled with his, the space between you growing thinner with every passing second.
The moment.
How do you measure a moment like this?
One tick of the clock. Two tears slipping free from both of you. Three uneven heartbeats, each louder than the last.
And then, finally, he closed the distance.
You should have probably expected that your first kiss would taste like salt, the tears trailing down your faces mingling somewhere in between and masking the real sweetness of it. How the flavor of each other’s mouths was obscured, just as you’d both hidden your true feelings for so long.
It was so cruel in its irony, yet somehow, it fit so perfectly that neither of you could bring yourselves to care.
Because his lips were too soft against yours for your own good, the gentleness of his hand gripping the nape of your neck pulling you closer, while the other rested against your tear-streaked cheek, damp from both the lingering press of his lips moments before and your tears.
When he finally pulled back, it wasn’t to retreat - it was to cradle your face, his thumbs brushing away the tears that wouldn’t stop falling, even as his own streamed freely, unchecked.
And as much as you wanted to keep going, to lose yourself in the solace of his mouth, something greater pulled you both in.
Without hesitation, you collapsed into each other’s arms, clutching tightly as though the world around you was slipping away, tears soaking into the other’s shoulders.
Was it penance? For realizing too late how simple this could have been? For all the wasted years, the missed chances, and the pain endured in silence?
Or was it just acceptance -that only now were you both ready to bear the weight of this, to hold each other completely, to disappear into one another?
Maybe that was the point.
Because in that embrace, unplanned and unbidden, came a feeling so familiar it ached.
That same resonance in your chest, the same connection of that first time you ever held him like this, nine years ago in your old apartment, when his walls cracked just enough to let you in.
And so the memory bleeds into the present, and it’s almost unbearable how much has stayed the same, and yet, how utterly everything has changed.
That stupid Hegel wasn’t wrong: the synthesis always becomes a new thesis, a cycle repeating itself. The moment was reborn, again and again, every time.
But damn, how it changed with every turn.
The same, yet entirely different.
The weight of then. The depth of now.
It was all there, in that fleeting, aching embrace. Not just holding on to each other, but to every version of yourselves that had come before - and every one still waiting in the future.
Even as the moment began to fade, as you pulled back - both drawn by the undeniable hunger to find each other’s mouths again - the synthesis was already shifting, reshaping into something new.
Another storm, another struggle, another antithesis loomed ahead, but always, always, the cycle reached for a new synthesis. And Hegel, damn him, was right again.
The cycle never ends.
But neither, it seemed, did you.
Competing with each other, as always.
Neither of you willing to back down, both so eager to claim the other that it became impossible to tell who started the second kiss, it just… happened.
This time, there was no softness, no hesitation - just urgency. Your hands tangled in the back of his hair, pulling him closer, keeping him right where you wanted him, while his hands gripped your lower back.
The moment your lips parted, offering him the faintest invitation, he deepened the kiss without even thinking it twice. His tongue slid against yours with so much hunger you were intoxicated, only for you to interrupt with a sharp bite to his bottom lip.
He growled at the challenge, he had to one-up you, returning the favor by sinking his teeth into your jawline, as if to stake his claim all over again, a sound so low and primal it seemed to vibrate straight into your skin, making you gasp and tighten your hold on him even more, eager to hear it again.
Damn him and his competitiveness.
You couldn’t help but meet it head-on, your hands roaming over the taut muscles of his back, feeling every shift, every flex as he moved against you.
He broke away briefly, not to stop, but to catch his breath as his lips found new territory. From your mouth to your jaw, and then down to your neck, your head tilting back reflexively, granting him even more access.
He smiled against your skin, insufferable even now, and when his lips returned to yours, that grin only widened. You kissed him again and again, but since his stupid smile kept getting in the way, you ended up kissing his teeth more than once.
Damn him.
And yet, you found yourself smiling like a fool, because how could you not? There was no way you could be making him feel this way, yet here you were - both of you lost in it, pushing and pulling, both refusing to surrender.
The more you had of each other, the more you wanted, never satisfied, never close enough, as though the only way to end this ache was to somehow crawl into each other’s skin.
And so, blame the position.
Blame the dress you’d chosen tonight, skimming your thighs, leaving so little to the imagination as it rode up with every shift against him.
Blame the way your kisses had shifted, growing hungrier, messier, more tongue than lips, more heavy breathing than words.
Or blame his new-found obsession to place wet kisses on the spot just behind your ear just to hear you gasp, while he had the audacity to hum into your neck, utterly satisfied with himself, like he was savoring your every reaction to the exquisite work of his mouth.
Blame his body, the way he pressed against you, his hands sliding from your waist to your hips, then lower, settling on your ass with a grip that didn’t make the things any easier.
Blame the way his growing bulge rubbed against you through the rough fabric of his jeans, the friction hitting exactly where the ache was blooming, pulling shudders from deep inside you.
Blame all of it - the kisses, the position, the maddening press of his body against yours - because it only made you more desperate.
The carnal realization of just how badly you wanted him, left you unable to stop. Your hips moved instinctively, grinding against his hardness, the rhythm of your kisses syncing with the desperate roll of your bodies.
Thank God his jeans were dark, because you were sure by now your arousal was leaving its mark on him, soaking into the fabric, leaving evidence of just how far gone you were – and if he noticed, if he felt it, the way his grip tightened on your waist told you he didn’t care.
If anything, it spurred him on, pulling you closer, holding you tighter, neither of you could stop moving.
The worst part? You didn’t want to. Not even a little.
What was even worse than this? The fact that Aaron, ever the master of timing, felt the need to comment on the obvious.
“You know what you’re doing, don’t you?” he asked breathless, lips flushed and slightly swollen from yours.
No shit, Sherlock.
You didn’t hesitate. “Aaron, do I look like I don’t know exactly what I’m doing?”
That even managed to earn a chuckle from him – speaking of victories - “Just… wanted to make sure you’re alright with this pace. We’re not exactly taking it slow, you know?!” he rasped, as his hands slid up and down the sides of your hips.
No shit, Sherlock, part two.
Was he worrying about you or himself?
You tilted your head, searching his face, the faint crease in his brow, the way his eyes softened as soon as they were met with yours. “Aaron,” you cupped his cheek. “Do you want to take it slow instead?”
Shit. What if you’d misread him? What if this hesitation wasn’t about concern for you but second thoughts about the entire thing? You hated yourself. How could you even think that-
“Not really,” he admitted, his lips curving into the most kissable smile. “I just… don’t want you to regret this. I’d wait forever if you asked me to, but right now…” His words faltered, his gaze dropping to your lips. “Right now, I don’t think I can. But only if you want it too.”
Oh God, how considerate he was.
Oh God, how much you never trusted anyone as him, how safe did he make you feel, how it almost brought tears to your eyes because you’d forgotten what it felt like to be looked at, cared for, wanted like this.
Oh God, how much you didn’t want to respond with words, to just take his hand, guide it between your legs, and let him feel exactly how much you needed him.
But words it was, then.
“I do, Aaron,” you said, taking his hands in yours. “I don’t think I’ve ever been more sure of anything. I want this. I want you. But…” Your lips curled up. “Not on my couch. Could we maybe hold out until the bedroom?”
Ah, yes. Turning 30 had officially made you someone who prioritized the longevity of their furniture over their sex life.
How responsible.
How tragic.
And yet, neither of you moved. It took a second - or two, or three - for both of you to gather the energy to even try standing after spending what felt like an eternity tangled up on your poor, overworked second-hand couch…
…a poor overworked second-hand. Hm. Now there was a pattern.
You hated yourself a little for how evil the thought was. Poor couch, poor him.
Not that it wasn’t true. But still - evil.
Still nearly as evil as the absolute disaster you’d made of his hair with your hands while you were making out. A fitting match for the flush on his face and the state of his half-untucked polo, which you’d been yanking at so fervently it was a miracle it hadn’t come off entirely.
Speaking of things you couldn’t stop noticing, the sight before you now was definitely a huge… huge walk with him to your bedroom. Because surely your hallway hadn’t been this long before.
Or maybe he was thinking the same thing, because just as you reached the doorway to your bedroom, he turned you, your back pressing against the wall before you even had time to push the door open.
You didn’t expect him to be this passionate – and desperate, when his mouth was back on yours, claiming you in a kiss so hot and wet it that the wetness surely wasn’t exactly isolated to your mouth at all.
You gasped, caught completely off guard, and that was apparently all the invitation he needed to slip his tongue deeper into your mouth, tasting you, claiming you, and it was so good that you barely managed to catch your breath, let alone remember the damn bedroom door.
“Aaron-” you managed between breathless kisses, barely stringing the words together.
As if you could talk.
As if you could pretend to hold any moral high ground here when your leg was already wrapping around his waist, pulling him closer. And oh, he was there - all of him. Thick, hard, and pressing against you.
He groaned into your mouth as his hands slid lower, gripping a handful of your ass, “I know,” he muttered, his voice rasping against your skin. “I know. The door.”
Oh, but why did his voice have to sound like that - so low, so wrecked… so unfair.
Anyway, the door.
Not that it mattered, apparently, because he didn’t move. His lips found your neck, kissing and nipping at the sensitive skin there, as his hands kneaded the flesh of your ass like he couldn’t get enough.
“You’re not exactly working on it,” you managed to gasp, and oh, you were so proud of yourself for having the strength to bicker with him even now, even like this.
Of course, Aaron, being Aaron, couldn’t resist biting back.
You felt the curve of his lips against your neck, he chuckled as his teeth grazed the hollow of your throat. “Well,” he murmured, returning to nip at your earlobe. “What about you?”
The man was infuriating. And hot. And so completely overwhelming you could barely think straight.
“I’m very busy right now,” you managed to counter, though what you really meant was that your back was far too occupied arching into him, practically begging for more.
At least he somehow found the self-control to pull back after what you could most graciously describe as an obscene amount of very enthusiastic dry humping. You were both so doomed. His hands steadied you just long enough for him to fumble for the doorknob.
And then the second you crossed the threshold, all bets were off.
His lips - no, his mouth - were on yours again, the kiss so heated it was more teeth and tongue than finesse. Probably because it hit you both at the same time - the realization of just how painfully simple it would be to strip the other bare.
His polo? A quick tug away from being tossed aside. Your dress? One little zipper stood between it and the floor. No barriers. No obstacles. That was all it would take.
And it was as if he read your mind because without a word, his hands found your waist and spun you around, pulling you back against him.
You barely had time to gasp before his head dipped to your neck, as his fingers found the zipper of your dress way too easily without even having to look. Just before he moved it, he paused. “I might’ve left a mark.”
Oh no, what a pity…
“Make it two,” you whispered, your voice trembling as your hand slid into his hair, pressing his head right where you wanted it.
And because Aaron apparently took instructions very well when they suited him, he bit down, his teeth grazing your skin just enough to make you shiver, the sharpness of it immediately soothed by the warm drag of his tongue.
The sound you made was embarrassing - breathless and high-pitched – that only seemed to spur him on, since in less than a second, the dress was pooling at your feet, leaving you bare save for your tights and underwear.
Mismatched underwear.
A good lace bra - at least there was that - with the most comfortable white cotton grandma pants you could have pulled from the depths of a multipack that were, by how the things have been going now, almost certainly transparent. Perfect.
Not that any of this was supposed to happen, of course.
You hadn’t exactly planned on getting laid by your… what even was he? Your best friend? Your boss?
An objectively gorgeous man with dark eyes that burned into you, whose voice could make your knees completely weak? The person you’d been quietly, stubbornly, and stupidly in sexual tension hell with for a decade?
He was all of that. He was none of that. He was Aaron, and whatever Aaron Hotchner was to you, you hadn’t planned on getting laid tonight. Or this morning. Or whatever ungodly hour it was now.
But plans didn’t seem to matter anymore.
Not when his hands were sliding over your body like you were something he’d wanted for so long that touching you now felt like the only thing keeping him tethered to reality.
Not when his lips found yours again, claiming them in a way that made you wonder how either of you had ever survived without tasting each other.
And certainly not when the moment your back hit the mattress of your bed, his full weight pressing into you fully, how your legs opened instinctively, welcoming him, pulling him closer, your body arching into him like it was chasing something only he could soothe.
He pulled back just enough to look at you, his eyes dark and heavy-lidded, scanning your face like he was trying to memorize every detail. “God, you’re so beautiful,” he said softly, his voice rough but sincere.
“God, you’re so clothed,” you shot back without thinking, your quick wit betraying you yet again, unsure whether to curse yourself for ruining the moment or to thank your sarcasm for always wanting to keep things… balanced.
But instead of appreciating your humor or giving you the satisfaction of stripping him, the insufferable man had the audacity to bypass your comment entirely.
With a swift motion, his hand reached behind you, unclasped your bra, and tossed it somewhere into the abyss of the room without so much as a second glance.
You blinked, momentarily stunned, a flush creeping up your neck at the brazenness of it. “I was referring to you, Hotchner.”
“Eventually,” he murmured, his lips brushing yours before capturing them again in a kiss that effectively cut off any protest you might’ve had. Clever man.
And so he started his descent, a study in patience, still hopelessly romantic about it, as if the situation weren’t already infuriating. Because even though you knew for sure he could feel the way your nipples had hardened against him, he still took his time.
Kissing his way down your throat, spending far too long mapping out the curve of your collarbone with his mouth, fingers just hovering - like he wasn’t already touching you everywhere.
And then, finally, his hands moved. Possessively. His palms covered your breasts, kneading them in a way that sent sparks ricocheting through you, his lips pressing a single, scorching kiss right in the middle of your sternum.
That did it. That had your thighs clenching on instinct, a desperate attempt to manage the growing fire low in your belly.
But you refused to let a sound escape.
Oh no. You weren’t about to give him that satisfaction. Especially not when he got to enjoy the full view of you laid out beneath him while you were left with only the delicious flex of his biceps.
Biceps, which, while spectacular, were not the bare expanse of his back. Not the firm ridges of muscle you knew were under that godforsaken polo, the one thing keeping things uneven between you.
He seemed to catch on to the game you were playing, though, because without warning, his mouth closed over one of your nipples, his tongue swirling over the sensitive peak so perfectly that it had your breath catching in your throat.
At the same time, his fingers found the other, pinching, rolling, teasing - the combination so damn lethal when paired with the languid flicks of his tongue, sending shocks straight to your clit.
Still, you bit your lip, stubbornly holding back the sounds he so clearly wanted to pull from you, even if the ache between your thighs was unbearable now - a dull, insistent throb that begged, no, pleaded for attention.
Attention that the insufferable man was withholding.
Or, unlike you, he simply didn’t want to rush… damn him. He was making it impossible to keep up the charade.
Because every flick of that damned talented mouth of his - now moving onto your other breast - every brush of his fingers, every sound he made against your skin that revealed just how hungry he was of your flesh, was undoubtedly designed to unravel you, piece by piece.
Every piece, that is, except for your poor, neglected, throbbing clit.
And of course, he was enjoying every second of it. Smug bastard.
“You know,” he murmured against your skin, his lips still grazing your nipple, “sounds are appreciated.” …Oh, fuck him.
“So is nudity,” you managed to snap, though your voice trembled, betraying just how close you were to falling apart.
He stilled. Lifted his head just enough to meet your gaze. And then he smirked.
Ah. That smirk. Never a good sign.
Especially not when paired with the way his hands started working your tights down - so slowit was almost unbearable. Always careful, always considerate Aaron. But God, right now, you wanted him ripping them off you.
His gaze swept over you, his eyes instantly darkened as they dettled on the on the damp patch at the center of your underwear.
“You’re soaked,” he murmured, his voice dipping lower, rougher, as his thumb grazed over the edge of the fabric.
Before you could process how pleased he was with himself, he spread your legs further, settling himself between them. His fingers dug into the soft flesh of your thighs, pinning you down, and he started trailing kisses along your inner thigh.
From the knee.
Oh, come on.
Still, you hissed at the contact, at the way his mouth devoured your thighs like he was savoring every inch of them.
Like this, this was what he lived for. Worshipping you.
And the way his lips moved, how drunk he looked as he worked his way upward, kissing, sucking, biting - just enough to make you twitch, the way his breath shook when he exhaled against your thigh - it only made it worse.
The closer he got, the more impossible it became to hold back the sounds slipping from your lips.
And then - one last kiss, right there, where your thigh met your core.
“Fuck, you’re so wet,” he murmured, and before you could even think about responding, his tongue flicked out, tasting the arousal that had trailed up to where his mouth lingered.
Oh. What a whore.
“You’re such a who-” you began, but the words barely escaped before he bit down lightly on your clothed clit, sharp enough to send a jolt through your entire body and rip a strangled cry from your throat.
Your reaction must have been exactly what he wanted, because his fingers replaced his teeth immediately, pressing against you through the thin, damp fabric.
“Oh, there you are,” he murmured, dragging his fingers down the length of your slit. “For a second, I thought I wasn’t doing it right.”
You scoffed, or at least you tried to. The sound barely made it past your lips before breaking into another sharp, breathless cry as his fingers rode back up, pressing against your clit in slow circles, the cotton barrier dulling the sensation just enough to drive you insane.
One, two, three strokes - then you stopped counting, too caught up in the feeling of him until he finally tossed the fabric aside, making you feel the cool air against the wet heat of your core, but he didn’t move.
Didn’t touch.
Just -
"You're a goddess."
He stared for so long that you started to wonder if he was waiting for you to say please, some kind of power play.
Your lips curled slightly as you lifted your chin. "If you think I’m going to beg you now, Hotchner, I’m absolutely not.
Apparently, you had never been more wrong in your life.
Because his head snapped up so fast it was almost comical - except for the way his entire face flushed. Not just with arousal - well, yes, definitely with arousal - but with something else.
The way his mouth parted slightly before he swallowed, his throat bobbing, his gaze flicking away for half a second like he had to collect himself, undoubtedly made you think-
"I was actually…" he cleared his throat, "asking for permission."
Oh. Oh. Apparently, someone couldn’t hide being a bottom for more than a few minutes.
Aaron ‘Attitude’ Hotchner? Gone. Reduced to sheepish glances and waiting for permission like a damn Victorian gentleman the second he actually looked at your cunt.
Hilarious.
"You have it," you murmured.
That was delicious.
And because he was so whipped, he didn’t just dive in immediately. No. Of course not. He had to come all the way back up first, had to kiss you before anything else.
And then he was gone. Gone from your mouth, gone from your chest, gone from anywhere but exactly where you wanted him most.
The very first swipe of his tongue across your folds obliterated any coherent thought, reduced your world to this - to the wet heat of his mouth, to the steady press of his hands holding you open, to the obscene sounds of him devouring you.
There was nothing but him, the way his tongue curled against you, the way his lips closed around your clit with just the right amount of pressure, the way his name tumbled from your lips and melted into the deep, guttural moan he let out as he first tasted you.
And honestly, you couldn’t decide what was hotter - the way his sounds came in perfect harmony with your own cries, or the fact that he was so vocal while eating you out, like it brought him just as much pleasure as it did you.
And it probably did.
Because he lapped at your dripping cunt like a man starved, frantic, desperate, moving with such a hunger that made your fingers dig into his hair, gripping tight like you could somehow hold on to reality through him.
But he didn’t want space. Didn’t need it. If anything, he leaned in further, groaning low against your soaked, swollen cunt, letting you drip down his chin as if he loved the way your arousal was entirely coating his flushed face.
Loved being drenched in you. Loved ruining himself on you.
“Aaron-” your voice broke, your hips jerking up into him, needy. “God, your tongue is unreal.”
And oh, he heard you, loud and clear.
Because his immediate response? Teeth. A quick, sharp graze of his teeth against your clit, followed by a suction so deep, so overwhelming, it ripped a scream straight from your throat.
Fuck him.
“Your-your mouth is unreal,” you stammered, correcting yourself, because apparently, he wasn’t letting you off the hook without acknowledging his full range of talents.
Smiling against your skin - as if it wasn’t blatantly obvious that he had a praise kink, too.
“Sorry,” he said with a kiss to your inner thigh as his thumb kept working on your clit. “I just thought you were a thorough one, Professor.”
What a whore.
“Oh, fuck you for calling me ‘Professor’ like it doesn’t turn you on just to say it,” you shot back.
“Oh, it does,” he admitted with no shame whatsoever. “I just wish you could feel how much.” His gaze flicked down, daring you to follow it - to the thick, aching bulge straining against his pants, so hard it had to hurt, so obvious it made you clench around nothing.
How cruel of him.
“Keep talking to me like that, Aaron, and I’ll crush your head with my thighs,” you warned, voice shaking, hands fisting into the sheets because he was still teasing, still circling with his thumb instead of putting his damn mouth back where you needed it most.
“Please do,” he said.
And then he gave you exactly what you wanted. His tongue plunged into you, pushing past the unbearable emptiness, giving you something to clench around, something to grind against, something to drown in.
And because he was, apparently, crafted to be the most infuriatingly perfect thing to ever exist - his nose pressed against your clit with every movement, sending white-hot jolts of pleasure through you so intense your legs tried to snap shut around his head.
He was faster. Stronger. Hands tightening against your thighs, keeping them spread as he pressed you further, pinning you down so he could devour you properly. And when your thighs twitched again, reflexive, desperate-
"Stay open for me."
That awful, awful sound. That little flick of his tongue against his teeth, a wordless tsk of disapproval - he did it every time, every single time, and it should have pissed you off but instead, shot straight through you, coiling low in your belly, leaving you breathless, made you arch into his mouth, made you-
"Still, please," he growled, more desperate now, fingers tightening like the control freak he so obviously was. Apparently, the man simply could not function if his so-called work space wasn’t perfectly in order.
Some things never changed.
“You’re such a hypocrite, it was-” Your breath caught on another roll of his tongue, hips jerking up against his face. “It was you who begged me to-”
"Mm," he hummed against you like he was thinking about it, his mouth hot and slick as he pressed deeper, let his tongue flatten. "And?"
…And then his lips closed around you, sucking just right, and you broke. You felt it coiling, tighter, tighter, low deep in your stomach.
"Aaron, I'm so close."
"I got you," he murmured, suddenly warm, suddenly gentle - because despite all the arrogance, the smug little smirks, he was nothing but a softie. All bark, no bite. Well… except for the other kinds of bites. "Don’t worry. Let go."
Then his tongue flicked - once, twice… and you were gone.
Shattered apart, trembling beneath his mouth, your fingers tangled in his hair, yanking, desperate. The pleasure hit sharp and fast, so intense it almost hurt, your muscles locking up as wave after wave crashed through you.
But he didn’t stop. Not until you’d come on his face just one more time.
So his tongue was back on you before you could even recover, dragging you higher, keeping you there, refusing to let you go. His mouth was relentless, but his fingers - God, his fingers.
How many times had you daydreamed about them? How many nights had you imagined the way they’d feel sinking inside you, stretching you open, fucking you deep and slow until you couldn’t think?
A reasonable number of times. That’s what you told yourself.
So it only made sense that you were impatient now, desperate to feel them inside you instead of just ghosting along your soaked folds, teasing, tracing, dipping in just enough to have you thinking, finally -
Only for him to pull away again, just as fast.
“Need some help finding it, Hotchner?” you bit out breathlessly, your voice dripping with sarcasm despite the whimper it ended on. “Don’t be embarrassed. I can guide you if-”
Before you could finish, one thick finger thrust deep inside you, cutting off your words with a strangled moan.
“I think I’ve got it,” he said smugly… oh, he definitely did.
The stretch of just one finger had you reeling, but then he added a second without hesitation, the fullness making you gasp. Two of his fingers felt like three of yours, stretching you perfectly, pressing against spots you didn’t even know existed.
“Fuck, Aaron,” you moaned, gripping the sheets as he started to move faster, stroking that perfect spot again and again until your vision blurred.
“You like that?” he asked, his voice so low and rough that made your toes curl, unable to respond if not with a whimper.
“Yeah, you do,” he murmured, his lips brushing your thigh as his fingers curled deeper, pressed just right, dragging a broken moan from your lips, his own voice dark with approval. "God, you’re so wet."
Your cheeks burned because well, wasn’t he right?!
The evidence of it was everywhere - slicking his fingers, his hand, his face, and the way he said it, so casually, like he was just stating a fact, only made the heat in your belly coil tighter.
"Damn, you’re so fucking good," you gasped between shattered breaths.
“Mm, so is this cunt,” he shot back between licks, groaning as he felt you flutter around his fingers.
What a dirty, dirty mouth. And damn, if he did he put it to use.
It didn’t take long. Barely a few more thrusts of his fingers into your slick, throbbing cunt, barely a few more drags of his tongue against your clit - before he had you unraveling completely.
Your body seized, back arching clean off the bed, a sharp, helpless cry ripping from your throat as you came so hard you almost sobbed.
He didn’t stop.
His fingers kept fucking into you, curling just right, stroking deep, drawing out every last shudder, every last desperate moan. His tongue never left your clit, flicking, sucking, keeping you there, forcing you to take every wave, every aftershock, dragging you through it until your thighs trembled around his head, until you were whimpering, pleading, too overstimulated to handle another second.
Only then did he finally pull away, lips gliding up your body, dragging sticky, open-mouthed kisses along your stomach, your ribs, your breasts, until his weight was pressing you into the mattress again, until you were surrounded by him, the scent of sex thick in the air, his mouth still hot and wet against your skin.
"God, you’re a fucking vision when you come," he murmured, voice husky, lips brushing over your jaw as his hand slid up to cradle your face.
And then he kissed you.
Deep, filthy, his tongue sweeping into your mouth without hesitation, letting you taste yourself on him, letting you feel the slick mess he’d made of you, the evidence of how thoroughly he had devoured you.
Romanticism truly was dead.
“Still too clothed,” you whispered, voice low, teasing, as your fingers trailed from his jaw down to his chest, nails scratching lightly over the fabric of his polo, feeling the heat of him beneath it. Annoyingly in the way.
“You’re very welcome to change that now,” he huffed, smirking, giving you another quick, teasing kiss, the barest brush of his lips over yours.
Who were you to refuse?
Your hands moved swiftly, gripping the hem of his shirt and tugging it up, over his head, before tossing it somewhere behind you - who cared where? That would be his problem in a few hours anyways.
And oh damn-
If you thought the polo highlighted his frame, without it he looked absolutely massive. His chest, his shoulders, the way his muscles shifted beneath his skin - it was almost unfair how goodlooking he was.
You leaned in to kiss him, letting your fingers roam all over him - probably lingering a little too long on those broad, perfect shoulders. Honestly, you were doing your best not to bite them.
Mostly. A little nip didn’t count, right? Surely it was allowed. To test. It wasn’t your fault they looked like they could carry the weight of the world - and you - without breaking a sweat. But of course, he couldn’t know that. He couldn’t know that his shoulders alone were making you go feral.
So you distracted him the best way you knew how - your lips pressing against his neck, soft at first, teasing, before nipping lightly at his pulse point, teeth scraping just enough to earn you a sharp inhale.
Still, even as your lips worked to keep him occupied, your thoughts betrayed you.
You were sure you’d implode the moment you saw his back - the way those muscles would shift and flex. Just the thought of it had your pulse racing. Thankfully, he was still facing you, so you had a little more time to live. But not much, considering the way your mind still found a way to betray you.
Because now all you could picture was his weight on top of you, pressing you into the mattress, pinning you down with no way out. Now all you could feel was the phantom stretch of him, the way he’d fill-
Right. His jeans. Still in the way. Still ruining your life.
You swallowed hard, forcing your hands to move lower, fumbling with his belt and zipper. If your hands trembled, you’d blame it on how hard you were trying not to stare at the thick bulge beneath the denim. Trying being the keyword, because at this point - you weren’t better than a man.
His jeans hit the floor, leaving him in just his boxers, making it quite difficult to ignore the outline of him anymore - thick, hard, already straining against the fabric, the damp spot at the tip teasing at just how ready he was.
Your pulse pounded in your ears as you glanced up, silently asking if you could take things further. He gave a small nod, his eyes dark and heavy-lidded, and that was all the encouragement you needed.
Your hands turned momentarily shy as you hooked your fingers into the band, slowly tugging them down. He sprang free, thick and hard, flushed at the tip, already glistening with slick arousal, and God, you swore your mouth went dry and then wet all in the span of a heartbeat.
You couldn’t stop yourself from murmuring, “God,” as your fingers wrapped around him, thumb brushing over the swollen, leaking head, smearing the wetness there, spreading it over the burning skin.
The reaction was immediate.
His head tipped back, his grip on your hips tightening, trying hard not to just rut into your fist like some desperate, touch-starved needy thing. But he was trembling , his self-control fraying one slow stroke at a time as you worked him over, your fingers squeezing around the slick head before dragging back down his length.
"Fuck," he muttered, the sound wrecking you, shooting straight between your legs.
“You’re so-” you started, but the words failed you. What could you even say? You were too distracted by the weight of him in your hand, the way he twitched against your palm and the way the thick vein along his shaft throbbed with every stroke of your hand.
All you knew was that you wanted him in your mouth. Wanted to drag your tongue along that vein, wanted to feel the heavy weight of him on your tongue, wanted to take him down until tears pricked the corners of your eyes. The need burned in your gut, tight and relentless, but still, it wasn’t enough. Because as much as your mouth ached for him, the fire between your thighs was worse. So much worse.
“Aaron,” you breathed, voice shaking as you looked up at him, your fingers still wrapped around his cock, still stroking him, enjoying the way his chest rose and fell with every movement of your hand.
His eyes - dark, heavy-lidded - met yours, his breath coming uneven, jagged, as he rasped, desperate, "Take whatever you want."
“I want you.”
Aaron groaned, his lips twitching into something that might have been a smile if he wasn’t so wrecked with desire. “Come here,” he murmured, as he leaned down and kissed you. And God, what a kiss.
Before you knew it, he had you back on the bed, his body hovering over yours, his broad shoulders framing your view of him. He settled himself between your legs, his mouth moving to your jaw, then down to your neck, at the point there was no doubt in a few hours you’d wear a turtleneck to work.
Still, he paused, hovering just above you, his lips brushing against yours as he asked one more time, “Are you sure?”
At this point, if you weren’t aching for him, you might’ve had the patience to be sarcastic. Something like, No, actually, I’m not sure. Let’s both get dressed again and see if that helps.
“Aaron, I’m literally begging you,” you said, exasperated, though you didn’t miss the glint in his eyes – if he just wanted you to beg him he could have simply asked. You would have never said it out loud but at least he could have tried…
“Just making sure,” he said so softly his voice seemed even deeper than it already was, but his hand slid between your legs, fingers gliding through your folds, and the way he groaned when he felt how wet you were made you shudder.
“God, you’re soaked,” he muttered, almost to himself, as if confirming what he already knew.
You didn’t think it was possible to be more turned on, but apparently, Aaron Hotchner could always prove you wrong.
And ever the hopeless romantic - because apparently, he was so much of a kisser - he kissed you again. It wasn’t fair, honestly, how good he was at this, how much intention he poured into every press of his lips , every flick of his tongue, every sharp little pull at your bottom lip that had your hips rolling up against him. It was infuriating.
"I’m on the pill," you gasped between kisses, cutting straight to the point because at this rate, you were about two seconds away from losing your mind.
"Good," he murmured, his lips ghosting over yours again. "That’s good."
Of course it’s good, Aaron. As if you were trying to create another insufferable Hotchner. One man who could argue his way out of anything was already more than enough for the world.
He shifted, aligning himself at your entrance, the thick head of his cock pressing against you, dragging through your slick folds with just the slightest roll of his hips. The stretch, even in just the promise of it, had you gasping into his mouth.
“Tell me if it’s too much,” he rasped, his forehead pressing against yours, still searching for any sign of hesitation. Classic Aaron.
And because he was Aaron, of course he kissed you again, stealing what little breath you had left as he began to push inside.
Holy fucking-
Your nails dug into his shoulders as he filling you inch by inch, his cock sinking in with a slow, thick glide that made your head tilt back into the pillow, your mouth falling open as sounds escaped your lips - a moan, then a gasp, and a whimper.
When he bottomed out, buried to the hilt, so deep you swore you could feel him in your stomach, you swore you might break, and you loved every second of it. How the hell did he even feel this good?
"Jesus Christ," he gritted out, breath hot against your jaw.
He paused, his cock throbbing inside you as he let you adjust, his lips ghosting over your jawline with kisses so soft they felt almost reverent, as though the slight ache of the stretch was something he needed to apologize for.
“God, you’re so tight.”
You involuntarily clenched down around him in response, "Fucking Christ," he groaned, his forehead dropping to yours for a moment. “You’re going to kill me.”
And fuck, if the second he started moving you weren’t utterly determined to hear every name of every deity from his long-lost religion tumble from his lips, as long as it meant he kept thrusting so deep inside you – making your breath catch from the mere drag of him pulling his entire length out before pushing it back in.
“Fuck Aaron, you feel so good,” you gasped, your hands tightening on his biceps.
And damn him, because he loved it - loved your praise so much that a low chuckle rumbled in his chest, even as his breath came uneven, ragged. “Fuck, you look so beautiful from here,”
He leaned in, his hips still moving, his lips brushing against yours just enough for you to feel the heat of his breath, to taste the promise of his kiss. “You’re perfect,” he whispered, making your legs wrap around his waist, pulling him closer, needing him deeper.
The shift in angle made his next thrust hit you in a way that tore a cry from your lips. He must’ve felt it - the way your body tightened around him, the way your nails sank into the strong muscles of his back, leaving red lines in their wake - because his pace quickened, each thrust better than the last.
And damn it if he didn’t fuck you so good.
“Right there,” you gasped, arching your back as the head of his cock hit that spot “Oh, Aaron-”
“God, I love how you say my name,” he rasped, his forehead dropping to yours as he planted a kiss on your temple between thrusts.
Sweat beaded on his forehead, dampening the dark, thick strands of his hair that clung to his face, his brows furrowed all concentrated, his cheeks flushed, jaw tight, and God, if he wasn’t the most beautiful thing you’d ever seen.
How stupid, how utterly reckless, it was to feel yourself falling for him all over again. And not just falling - but plummeting, freefalling into the abyss of him. Exactly now, exactly like this - when he was buried so deep inside you that it felt like he was carving himself into your soul.
How shallow, how ridiculous, to let your pupils blow wide with hunger, to let your chest ache with something too tender, too raw, while your body burned for him like this.
Because it wasn’t just the way his hips buckled into yours, wasn’t just the rhythm of his thrusts, wasn’t just the stretch and fullness that made you gasp. No, it was the way his name tumbled from your lips like it was the only word you knew, and the way he rasped your name back, hoarse and desperate, like it was his prayer.
The wet slap of his hips meeting yours, the creak of the bed beneath you - it was way too loud for the early hours, you knew that. Too wild, too shameless, probably waking every neighbor you had, giving them the privilege of hearing his name tumble from your lips and yours from his.
But how could you care? How could you even think about anything beyond him, especially when he shifted suddenly, leaning back and lifting your legs over his shoulders?
“Like this,” he muttered, his voice rough and breathless. His hands gripped your thighs, steady, holding you in place as he adjusted himself, his cock driving deeper - God, how was it even possible to feel this full?
His next thrust stole the breath from your lungs, and the one after that made your vision blur, leaving you gripping the sheets, then the bedframe, his arms - anything you could reach.
“I got you,” he rasped, his tone softer now, and if it weren’t for the fact that he was absolutely wrecking you, you might’ve laughed at how he said it. So casual, so reassuring, like he wasn’t currently fucking you out of your mind.
And then, just to make sure you were well and truly destroyed, Aaron leaned down and pressed a kiss to your trembling leg. A kiss. Soft and lingering, like he wasn’t simultaneously driving into you with enough force to make you think about it for days. A true gentleman, really. Absolutely chivalrous.
“Oh, fuck you,” you managed to gasp, your voice shaking as your nails dug into his arms.
He smirked, his hips snapping forward harder, making your back arch off the bed.
“I believe I already am,” he shot back smoothly, and damn him - despite the situation, or maybe because of it - you laughed.
The sound made him pause for a fraction of a second, his brow quirking as his lips twitched into something softer, something that could almost be called tender if he wasn’t currently wrecking you.
He leaned in, clearly intending to kiss you - except you were still laughing, leaving him kissing your teeth instead of your lips.
“You’re ridiculous,” he muttered against your mouth, his voice filled with faux exasperation, as if it weren’t entirely his fault. But the way he looked at you, his eyes soft and sweet despite the hunger blazing behind them, made it clear he wasn’t serious at all.
“I really hate you,” you managed to say, still laughing, the words breathless and shaky.
“Liar,” he countered smoothly, his lips curving into a grin of his own before he kissed you properly this time, slow and deep, stealing the air from your lungs. “You’ve never hated me at all.”
You opened your mouth to argue, but the next thrust silenced you, sending a bolt of pleasure straight to your core, leaving you gasping instead of speaking.
“Yeah,” he rasped, his voice thick, his eyes locked on yours as he watched you fall apart beneath him. “That’s exactly what I thought.”
Bastard. Oh, how he’d pay for this. Just… not now. Not when the heat in your stomach was building too quickly, you could already feel your toes curling, your legs trembling where they rested on his shoulders.
“Aaron-” His name spilled from your lips in a broken cry, your hands clutching at him desperately, your body trembling beneath him.
“I know,” he rasped, his forehead pressing against yours, his breath hot and uneven as it fanned over your lips. “You’re close. I can feel it. Fuck, you’re squeezing me so tight.”
And then, just to destroy you completely, he spat on his fingers. The sound alone sent a shiver through you, but watching him, seeing the way he reached down and slid his slick finger to your clit, circling it, left you utterly wrecked.
That alone was so unfairly hot you were surprised you didn’t come on the spot just from seeing it.
“God,” he groaned, his hips keeping the same rhythm as his fingers worked you over, the combination of his cock driving into you and his fingers basically breaking you apart. “I’m close too. Come for me. I want to feel it - I need to feel you.”
And there was no stopping it. The pressure snapped all at once, a tidal wave of pleasure crashing over you, leaving you shaking and gasping for air. Your body clung to him like he was the only thing keeping you tethered to reality, your nails digging into his back as your orgasm ripped through you.
“Aaron,” you cried out, his name falling from your lips in a broken, desperate plea as your cunt clenched around him so tightly that it pulled a guttural groan from his chest.
His movements stuttered, his rhythm faltering as he buried himself deep one last time, his head tipping back, lips shaping into your name.
You felt him spill inside you, the hot rush of him filling you, the heat prolonging the throbbing waves of your own climax, as your body convulsed with the lingering echoes of pleasure. It was too much. Too raw. Too perfect. The kind of climax that left you completely destroyed, your mouth falling open as you tried and failed to even catch your breath.
Your limbs felt boneless, your heart was about to burst out of your chest, a haze in your head. Wow.
Aaron’s thrusts slowed, his movements becoming languid as he guided you both through the final waves of pleasure, his hips rocking into you softly.
When he finally stilled, he stayed inside you, his body collapsing onto yours, every muscle undone, spent, his breath hot against your neck. His skin was slick with sweat, his weight pressing you into the mattress, and fuck, you never wanted him to move.
A slow, lazy kiss landed on your shoulder, his lips lingering there for a second before he murmured, "Are you okay?"
Really?
A laugh bubbled up before you could stop it, as your fingers threaded through his beautiful damp hair. “Okay?” you echoed, still struggling to breathe, still feeling the aftershocks of him inside you. “Aaron, I think you might’ve just killed me.”
He huffed out something that could’ve been a laugh if he had the energy, and just because he was perfectly positioned - completely wrecked, head buried against your shoulder, practically melting into you - you pressed a soft kiss to his forehead.
It felt almost paternalistic, sure, the kind of kiss that came with the smug satisfaction of having him completely undone over you, like he might fall apart if he even tried to move. The salt of his sweat clung to your lips, a stark contrast to the bitter taste of the tears you’d swallowed earlier. It felt better - so much better.
Aaron sighed against your skin, lips twitching like he wanted to smile but was too exhausted to bother, he pulled out, leaving you wincing at the sudden emptiness.
He sat back on his heels, his gaze dropping to the mess he’d made of you, and for a moment, you swore he looked almost proud. But, of course, because Aaron fucking Hotchner couldn’t let you have five uninterrupted minutes of post-orgasmic bliss without switching into Mr. Practical, he tilted his head and said, “You should probably clean yourself up.”
You blinked at him, deadpan. “Wow. Romance is truly alive and well.”
He grinned just enough to make you want to hit him and kiss him at the same time. “Where do you keep your towels?” he asked.
“Wow,” you muttered, flopping back onto the bed. “Absolutely fantastic. I give you my soul, and in return, you turn into a housekeeper.”
“Don’t be so dramatic,” he said, leaning down to press a kiss to your temple before standing and stretching.
And, of course, because the universe hated you, he looked absurdly good doing it. Broad shoulders, sweat-slicked skin, and the faint red lines your nails had left down his back. God, his back. Huge. Muscular. You really wanted to-
“Dramatic?” you scoffed, snapping yourself out of the borderline feral train of thought. “I just had the best orgasm of my life, and now you’re asking me about towels. What’s next, changing my bedsheets?”
He shot you a look over his shoulder, that infuriating smirk still tugging at his lips. “Best?” he echoed, his tone dripping with mock surprise. “Did I hear you correctly?”
You groaned, “God, you’re unbearable.”
“No, no,” he continued, turning back toward you, his smirk widening into something dangerously close to smug. “Say it again. Best orgasm of your life? Because I recall giving you three - you might need to pluralize that.”
Oh, how cocky he was. You grabbed the nearest pillow and chucked it at him, unfortunately the man also had perfect reflects. “So, where are these towels?”
“In the bathroom,” you muttered, gesturing vaguely in its direction. “Third drawer on the left. Please, by all means, go do your very important post-coital housekeeping.”
He chuckled as he made his way to the bathroom, and you watched him go, biting your lip as your gaze drifted lower. Because of course you looked. How could you not? The way his muscles moved as he walked, the strong lines of his back leading down to that quite flat yet perfectly sculpted-
“Stop staring,” he called over his shoulder without even looking back.
You scowled, sitting up and grabbing the other pillow to hurl at the bathroom doorway. “I wasn’t staring!”
He was no fun.
“You know,” you called after him, unable to help yourself, “it’s a shame you’re so good in bed, because you are the single most annoying person I’ve ever met.”
“Funny,” he shot back from the bathroom, his voice echoing slightly. “You didn’t seem too annoyed about it five minutes ago.”
Tumblr media
Not that you had been even a little annoyed when you woke up right into his arms - despite the fact that you distinctly remembered falling asleep holding him.
“How much time do we have?” you murmured, your words muffled as your head stayed nestled against his chest.
“You’ve got 1 hour... I got half” he chuckled, then continued “I need to head home and get changed.”
But his arms instinctively tightened around you, like he wasn’t quite ready to let you go just yet. Like he could pretend, just for a little longer, that there was still time.
“How amazing would Agent Hotchner be if he just called to say we had the weekend off?” you said, tracing patterns of his flexed bicep tighetened around you.
He chuckled softly, the vibration of it rumbling beneath your cheek. “I doubt Agent Hotchner even has the strength to get up and take his phone from his jacket.”
“Well, since I’m feeling so generous, I could go and hand it to him,” you offered with faux magnanimity, but before you could move, his hand slid to the back of your head, pressing you back into him, while the other hand gripped your waist.
“Stay,” he said too softly for your own good.
You smiled against him. “I could stay longer if we didn’t have to go to work, you know...”
He chuckled again, this time shaking his head in amusement. “Nice try, sweetheart.”
Your head lifted slightly, an eyebrow raised. “Sweetheart?”
And there it was.
Fuck.
Was this the time to tell you? That if he’d been smitten before, now he was utterly undone? That despite making a living solving puzzles, he couldn’t think of a single scenario in which he wasn’t yours?
It was logic, wasn’t it? A proposition is true if it’s reflected in reality.
And this was his truth: he was yours. Irrevocably, undeniably yours.
There wouldn’t be a more evident fact - not until the marks you’d left on his neck and chest faded away. But even then? He would still belong to you.
Damn the stoics for being right.
“Sorry,” he said, as though the endearment had slipped past his guard.
Before he could say more, you tilted your head up and kissed him, catching him completely off guard. His startled expression was so genuine that you couldn’t help yourself - you kissed him again, determined to wipe it off his face.
His lips curled into a smile against yours, and when you finally pulled back true to form, he couldn’t resist deflecting. “If you’re trying to charm me into giving the day off, I’ll save you the trouble - it’s not going to work. Even if you keep kissing me.”
You laughed and leaned up to give him another kiss. But this time, you didn’t stop there. You moved down, pressing wet, open-mouthed kisses along his jaw. “I just want to make sure you understand the opportunity you’re blowing here,” you murmured into his skin, your lips ghosting over his pulse.
“The reports aren’t going to fill themselves,” he replied, though his voice lacked conviction.
Oh, neither was your cu-
“You sure about that?” you teased, nibbling gently at his collarbone as your hand trailed lower, brushing over where something was definetely starting to grow in between his boxers, making him hiss.
“What’s the matter?” you asked innocently, your hand now resting over his hardening cock, feeling the heat of him through the thin fabric.
“Maybe it’s the fact that you’re devouring my neck at seven in the morning,” he managed.
“Devouring? Not yet.” Your lips descended again, this time grazing over his collarbones, the faint scrape of your teeth dragging along his skin. When you bit lightly at his chest, his sharp inhale was all the reward you needed. “But don’t worry, I plan to.”
His mouth opened like he was about to fire back, but before he could, your hand slipped beneath the waistband of his boxers.
You stroked him slowly, dragging your thumb over the slick head, smearing the precum as if you had all the time in the world. “So,” you started lightly, as he cussed at your touch, “what are you going to do with the hour we have left?”
He tried to respond, he really did.
“I-” His breath hitched when your tongue darted out to trace just above his lower stomach.
“Well?” you pressed, lifting your head to look at him, your grin so sweet it could’ve killed him. “Breakfast? A shower? Or, you know, something else?”
“Breakfast sounds…” He barely managed to get the words out before his voice broke entirely, his body jerking slightly when your tongue flicked out to tease the tip of his cock.
“…like a good idea,” he finished weakly, though you weren’t convinced he even knew what he was saying at this point… better like this anyways.
“Good,” you hummed, dragging wet kisses along his length, while your hand kept moving, stroking him slowly, savoring the way his cock twitched in your hand. “So, Aaron, what do you feel like having for breakfast?”
His head fell back against the pillow, a low groan escaping him as his fingers tangled in your hair. “God,” he rasped, the word dragged out of him so pitifully it was almost tragic.
You grinned against his skin, looking up at him. “I’m pretty sure that’s not in my fridge,” you replied deadpan.
“Sweetheart…” He was absolutely desperate as your kisses moved lower, your tongue tracing a path along the underside of his cock.
“Hmm?” you hummed innocently, as if you didn’t notice the way his grip tightened in your hair or the slight tremble in his thighs.
He didn’t answer - but his phone did instead.
The sharp buzzing from the pocket of his discarded jacket in the living room shattered the moment.
Both of you jerked back, adrenaline ripping through the haze, already halfway off the bed before you even thought about it.
It was clumsy, both of you scrambling, bumping into each other as you stumbled toward the sound, breathless for entirely different reasons now.
Aaron got to it first, answering with the efficiency of a man who had switched back to work mode in an instant.
The call clicked on, and a voice - male, urgent - filled the room. "…The two bodies. The man died from a gunshot to the head, though he was stabbed multiple times post-mortem. The woman died from stab wounds."
You stilled.
Aaron’s face hardened. Rocher’s victims.
The ones he had been taunting you with.
"Agent Hotchner, there’s one thing…" the agent on the other end hesitated.
Aaron’s eyes sharpened. "What?"
"These bodies were killed exactly fifteen days ago," he said.
Aaron froze, you felt it at the same time he did - fifteen days ago.
You and Aaron had been interrogating Rocher exactly fifteen days ago.
He hadn’t killed them himself. He couldn’t have.
You were both there.
Your eyes met his, and for a split second, neither of you spoke.
“He had a partner,” Aaron said, his arm sliding around you instinctively, pulling you closer before you even realized you were starting to breathe too fast.
“Did you manage to identify the victims?” he asked.
“Yes - the man’s name is Michael Fowler, 34, a lawyer, junior associate at Madison & Green. The woman is Renee Hudson, 22, student at Columbia University, enrolled in the faculty of…”
You didn’t even know why you tensed so much.
The answer was obvious before he even said it.
“…philosophy.”
The call ended, but the silence left behind was louder than the voice on the line had been.
And in that silence, you could hear everything - the inevitability of it, tangled with the sound of the tears slipping down both of your faces.
And when your gaze flicked to Aaron, when his arm instinctively pulled you closer, you knew - without a word, without a glance – you’ve been both staring at the exact same spot on the wall.
Because it wasn’t just the age gap.
It wasn’t just the coincidence of numbers.
It was what made it undeniable.
A lawyer.
And a philosopher.
And the way your broken voices found each other in the quiet, harmonizing each other’s names in perfect, unintentional sync, just a few rushed heartbeats later.
Almost like in the musicals.
Almost sweet.

I sincerely apologize - but the cockblocking was absolutely necessary. Otherwise, they'd never keep their hands to themselves. Honestly, with a job like this, interruptions are basically a given. If I had a nickel for every time these two got cockblocked by a phone call, I’d have two nickels - which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happeend twice.
Ahem... so, uh, let me know what you think... of this. All of this. I need your feedback because I am currently gnawing at the edges of my enclosure

Tumblr media
you and lando had a deal. by the time you hit twenty-five you two would get married. the two of you had been lifelong friends and at the time thought that no one would actually want to date you two.
so the pact was made.
you had honestly forgotten about it years later. it was a pact you made when you were both dumb teenagers and lando's career as a racer hadn't taken off. by this point you had expected him to find some super hot model to date. not the best friend he's had for years!
until after you twenty-fifth birthday you received a text message.
it simply said, "will be home in a few days, where did you want to have our first date?" and before you could question him about what the hell he was talking about. you remembered his boyish smile when you linked pinkies with him.
lando was beyond relieved to see you. you picked him up from the airport and drove him back to your flat. you had laughed as you merged onto the highway.
"so a date, huh?"
"well, yeah. i mean i wasn't going to show up with a ring!" he laughed, "did you forget or something?" he almost seemed a little hurt.
"no, no." you said, "i just thought you would've found someone else by now! i mean you're surrounded by pretty girls all day."
he shrugged, "yeah, yeah. but none of them are you. i was honestly worried that you would've found someone too! i mean i can't date you if you're already with someone." he laughed once more.
being on a date with him was like hanging out with him in your youth. expect every time he wanted to kiss you, he asked. and when he kissed you. you felt a spark in your gut.
you were just at a local pub you had always gone to. there was no need for fancy first dates. eventually lando had his arm around you while you sat in the booth and the two of you watched the football game.
when you were teens you were especially into it. but over time he made you cheer for the team he cheered for. in exchange you forced him to like your favourite cheesy movie. (which he would admit now, wasn't that terrible!).
"I want to keep kissing you." he said honestly in your ear.
you picked up a fry and fed it to him. when he swallowed it, you turned to kiss him on the lips, "you don't have to ask me, norris. i've seen every mole on your ass."
he laughed and leaned in for another kiss. but before he did, he said, "i want to be a gentleman."
that sentiment lasted all the way to the bedroom. you had wished you had tidied up a little bit more of your bedroom, but you might have just been over thinking everything as you took off your t-shirt.
"lando... please be gentle, it's been like a million years since i last had sex." you admitted as you played with the t-shirt between your fingers nervously.
he looked at you with a curious glance, "who was the last person you slept with? when did this happen?" there was a small curl of jealousy in his gut.
you replied, "i mean like, not since the one, one-night stand i had in my first year of uni... since then it's been a dry spell."
he nodded, he understood. but part of him really wanted to be your first time. but hey, he had an entire lifetime to make up for it! he noticed how you gazed at him when he took his shirt off. "like what you see?"
you chuckled, "yes. you've always been handsome, lando. too handsome for me!"
he shook his head and took off his belt, "no. just handsome enough for you." then pulled down his shorts before he got into bed with you, pulling you down onto the floral printed covers next to him.
he looked nice in just a pair of black briefs. you couldn't believe this was really happening. to have your legs tangled up in his, his lips on yours. hands roaming each other's bodies.
it was something that would've made sixteen year old you blush.
"wait, wait.' he said, "give me a second." then got out of bed, he left the bedroom to go to the living room where all of his belongings still there. he came back with the shiny foil of a condom. he beamed at you, "have to play it safe." before he climbed back into bed with you.
he loved the sight of you. you were so pretty, ever since you two were younger. he always thought you were the prettiest girl at school, even if you didn't believe it. now, he'd just have to tell you every day how pretty you were.
he got his briefs off and the condom on before he put you on your back and got between your legs. he knelt between them with his cock at full attention. he admired the sight of you.
"i can't believe you kept true to your word." you chuckled and rubbed your face as if to wipe the blush off.
he smiled at you, "why wouldn't i? i made a promise." he leaned in towards you and kissed you on the cheek, "i was practically counting down the days. it was hard to keep it all inside, not when i was constantly thinking about you."
"i hate that i'm inexperienced."
"don't care. i have a whole life time to show learn everything with you." his voice was tinged with romance and you felt what you could only describe as love bloom in your chest.
you always had feelings for him, and see them returned made you only feel hot in the face. he kissed at those same cheeks and palmed your breasts.
"someone's into those." you chuckled.
"i always thought they were so pretty." he said almost breathless, "in those stupid dresses you wore in university. remember when i threw my hoodie over you, it was because i didn't want anyone else looking at you."
you remembered them, you were trying something new at the time. and those dresses really made you breasts noticeable. you chuckled, "god, i remember that. or that time you took off your rain jacket and zipped it up to my chin."
"i just thought you were so painfully pretty." he took his cock and rubbed it up against your wet pussy. he used to have dreams about it. he always wanted to sink himself into you and just fuck your sweet cunt.
you held onto the covers under you as you tensed for a moment in anticipation for lando's cock. you held you breath as he slowly sank in. you let out a sharp noise and lando eased your mind with kisses on your lips.
"that's it." he praised with sweetness on his tongue. he thought you looked so beautiful under him, like you always belonged there, "are you okay?" he asked.
you nodded, "yeah, i'm doing great. just... not used to it." you took a deep breath.
lando held onto you and said softly, "don't worry, i'll go gentle. don't want to hurt my wife on the first try."
you looked at him and chuckled, "and what if i'm not marriage material in a year?"
lando shook his head, "i don't wanna hear it." then sealed it with a kiss as he used your hips to rub your against his cock. the movements were small, but slowly building up in a decent peace. he wanted to make sure that he didn't hurt you.
you held his face and continued to kiss him. when he eventually pulled away, you were both soon panting. he rutted up into you and moved your hips at a similar pace. he loved that your expression was starting to change to one filled with pleasure.
he thought you were beautiful even then.
"i've thought about this for years. i always wondered what you'd look like under me, or on top, or anywhere really. i just dreamt about having you."
"you could've asked me out sooner, norris." you smiled at him. you felt a swell in your chest.
lando blushed a little and replied, "i couldn't find the words. but then when i remembered, i knew i had to jump at the chance to have you."
you wrapped your arms and legs around him and said, "well mister lando norris, you have me. now and forever."
he broke out into a grin, it was so cheesy. even though he had his cock inside of you. but he loved it. he loved you. he kissed you again before he started to thrust a little heavier.
the intimacy between you two was strong, but the actually movements were softer. lando's lips felt so nice against your neck and along your jaw. every kiss felt like worship.
his hands explored your sides, almost making you giggle loudly. you could hear your heartbeat in your ears from the pleasure in your veins.
the bed creaked under your movements. you felt the lust warm in your gut. you clutched onto his shoulders as he kept his steady pace. you panted heavily, "i'm close, fuck, lando. i'm close!"
"i know, i know. me too." he groaned as he moved. he was so big compared to you. and you felt so small, but in a good way. he was just perfect for you and you were for him.
you always felt protected by him.
you two kissed once more and you moaned into the kiss. he was panting through his nose as he pressed his cock into you as deep as it would go.
you tensed up around him and his cock twitched inside of you. and together you both came, pressed against on another as orgasm gripped you.
it felt so good.
you could get used to this. the movements slowed to a stop and you broke the kiss to catch your breath. you panted heavily as you tried to pull yourself together.
"so good." he laid on top of you for a moment, embracing your warmth below him. you wrapped your arms around him tightly and kissed his sweaty temple.
you both laid there. it felt nice. maybe you wouldn't mind keeping to the marriage pact you made when you were a teen. it wouldn't be bad to be married to your best friend.
he yawned before he moved off of you, "i gotta get you a nice ring. something as beautiful as you."
-
you didn't get married at twenty-five. it would take about three years before you had your special day.
his fingers interlocked with yours and he held them up towards the stream of morning light through the window. "you know." he said, "i used to write your name with my last name when we were kids."
you chuckled and looked to him, "the crush was that big."
he nodded, "yeah, i mean, you ruined all other girls for me. but i'm glad. let's ruin ourselves for anyone else anyway." he laughed before he threw an arm around you and kissed you deeply.

It was one of the first times you, a young girl exiled from the real world and born on an island paradise inhabited only by women, had contact with what was considered 'the real world.' You were not yet accustomed to many things, especially the existence of men, or perhaps men like Damian Wayne.
On Themyscira, you were used to following orders. When the Queen or your trainer told you to "do this," you knew exactly what to do. But when you joined the Justice League and met Batman, you initially believed you were supposed to act the same way. You soon realized that maybe you should have listened when Jon told you to ignore him completely.
At that moment, Damian Wayne, now known as Batman, was the last person you wanted to be trapped with in a situation like this. The two of you were locked in a reinforced room with no way out, where neither your strength nor your wits could help you get out. So you found yourself trapped with the one man who liked to bark orders like he was the king of Gotham.
— You really don't know what to do? — He asked, annoying you again. — Before, Wonder Women were effective.
However, you tried to heed Jon's advice; thus, you responded to him without intending to participate in his game.
— Yes, and in my land, men didn't even exist. So I'm just getting used to working with the inefficiency of one.
Damian slowly approached the box you were sitting in with an annoying grin on his face.
— In fact, I am a detective. Of course I know how to get out of here.
Your confused expression made him smile even harder at your confusion. You weren't sure if it was fair to feel like a complete idiot, but that was exactly how you felt at that moment. Besides, you didn't like him at all.
— And you never thought to open the door, or are you just trying to annoy me by making me live with you?
— Actually... — He replied, moving even closer to you. — I'm testing you. Go and open the door as best you can — He finally ordered.
And as if it were a sacred word, you stood up, determined to open the door to the room at any cost. At first, you tried to break it down with blows, but your strength wasn't enough. It was probably made of some incredibly strong material, possibly of alien origin.
— Try pulling the doorknob with your lasso — he suggested, and once again, you listened.
Damian couldn't help but find the way you obeyed like a trained dog incredibly attractive. Deep down, he felt that he had you at his mercy and that no matter what he asked you to do, you would listen.
Totally exhausted from the effort, you knelt on the ground, but you didn't give up. Feeling sorry for you, he reached over to stroke your hair, trying to calm you down.
— Pretty obedient little thing. — He flattered, lifting your chin so you could look him in the eye. — You don't know how to say no, do you?
A wave of intense heat enveloped you. Perhaps it was the first time you had ever found yourself in an intimate situation with someone, as you had always believed that your body was trained solely for an impending war. Yet, when Damian was around, that was the one purpose of your training you occasionally forgot.
— If I asked you to take off your underwear, would you be so obedient, habibati?
Your cheeks reddened immediately. You knew you should avoid this kind of situation, but having been trained on the island, you understood that you had to follow the orders of a superior. Batman was more experienced than you, making him your superior, and you felt obligated to obey him.
Immediately your panties fell down under the metal skirt of your suit, exposing your pussy to the man in the room.
From what you knew about men, you noticed they often looked for specific qualities in women. However, Damian had never shown any boldness towards you. As time passed, the 'sexual tension' that Jon had mentioned began to feel more like an annoyance.
When he saw that you were listening to him, he smiled as usual. But his smile was not one of despair; it was one of desire.
He knelt down to be at the same height as you. Gently, he slid a finger down your soaked pussy while keeping his eyes on yours, watching for any reaction on your face.
You understood what he was doing and how he was touching every part of the anatomy between your legs with precision. What you didn't understand was how he was so skilled at it.
You couldn't hold back your moans as you felt him gently pinch your now throbbing clit. His touch drove you crazy as you felt waves of pleasure crash against you.
— Damn, what a good girl. Sorry to tell you, Habibati... I have a weakness for obedient women.

Hello! I was wondering if you could do a small request? I was thinking of platonic Yandere Dick and batsib where batsib is getting harassed(hope I spelled it right) at school or online but can’t find Jason or the others so finally gives in and asks Dick for help on how to handle the situation?
A/N: Yes, ofc! Thank you for requesting. I was originally never going to post the og headcanon because i thought people wouldn't like a darker take on him. I'm so happy you guys do. its actually dick just cyber bullying you into coming to him loll
Warnings: concepts of online harrassment, but it's mainly fluff.
Requests: open 24/7

"Sweetie, don't cry. Tell your big brother what happened, okay?" Dick's voice cooed as he used his thumb to gently wipe away your tears.
This wasn't a position you imagine yourself to be in. You never figured you'd be coming to Dick for anything. Ever. Let alone comfort. For the past few months of being in Wayne's house, you've avoided your older brother like the plague. There wasn't any circumstance you wanted to be around him, you didn't particularly like him for your own reasons. Jason was the one you found the most comfort in. He made you feel safe and at ease unlike Dick.
But Jason wasn't here right now. He and the others were taking their shift on patrol and they wouldn't be back at least until the sun rose. Dick was the only one home and available to help with the situation at hand.
~~~~
You had recently started up a social media account with much persuasion from your sibling, Barbra. It was just supposed to be something wholesome to better connect with the other siblings as it was a frequency they used. You weren't too fond of the whole thing, it was slightly anxiety inducing but you agreed to make them happy. They felt bad about sharing so many family photos without you being as they were all proud to show you off.
Unexpectedly, you kind of got into it. You started spending quite a few hours scrolling posts and sharing videos to your siblings, even deciding to make a few of your own...not thinking much of it.
It was great and all of the feedback was positive, mainly being from your sibling or school friends. It was a fun and rather safe escape for you to enjoy on your downtime.
That was until you finally decided to check your laptop after a few days away. To your surprise, lots of new notifications flooded your inbox. Maybe your post went viral or something, you excitedly thought to yourself.
The excitement quickly died down after reading through every comment and message you received during your hiatus. Copious amounts of vile content flooded your eyes. Most of them attacked your appearance or the fact you were 'just another pitiful orphan'. But nothing disturbed you like the dm you received that was filled with death threats and altered photos of you.
Mixed feelings of terror, anxiety and sadness overtook your body. You were never one to cry much but this, this did something to you. The only thing you wanted was to be held. Your safe space was ripped from you and turned into a heinous landfill, you felt so violated. You knew that person was only behind a screen but what if they were coming for you? What if it was an enemy of your family? You weren't nearly as trained or half as capable as your siblings and this person probably knew that. What if they're not around and that person captures you..
You didn't want to die. You didn't want to be their target….
~~~~~
You could sense the blood boiling beneath Grayson's skin as told him all that happened. For once in your life you seen his smile drop and his eyes growing dark., his sky blue eyes were nearly a deep black. He couldn't stop the fury from seeping into his vein as he thought about all the ways to get his revenge on the person who made you like this.
He never wanted to see his baby sister in this state, he didn't like that you couldn't enjoy yourself. He felt so guilty, this was his fault. He gave the green light to Babs about the social media thing when she brought it up to him. How could he be so stupid? Why didn't he think about the possibility of something like this?
It was supposed to be something to get you out of your shell and closer with them, not a breeding ground for degenerate fuckers like that.
He was silent for a while, entrapped in his own mind and anger before you tugged on his shirt.
"..Dick, please help me. I'm so scared. I really don't want to die. What am i going to do?" Your words were almost inaudible as you choked over them. The few lone tears turned into a heavy stream. You needed him to make this all go away. It was too much for you to handle alone.
Your plea for his help snapped him out of his thoughts. Dick's heart nearly crumbling at the cracks in your voice. He loved you so much and making sure you knew you were safe was the most important thing. The plotting could wait, there was plenty of time to take care of them. Softening his face, he flashed you his pretty smile, and took your hands in his.
"Do you think your older brother, Dick, would ever let them come through these doors and hurt you?"
You shook your head and rubbed at your puffy, red eyes.
"My sweet birdie. You have to know as long as i'm living, you'll be safe."
Dick hesitantly opened his arms out for a hug, not sure if you'd be willing to accept it this time. To his surprise, you did. Practically throwing yourself into his embrace, you wrapped you arms around his neck and sobbing in the crook of his neck.
You tightly held onto him as you nuzzled your head as deeper into it. Maybe you were wrong in your judgement of him?,,,or maybe it was the heat of the moment, but something about this was actually…nice. You never had a hug that felt as warm and protecting as this was now. There was just something so precious about the he handled you with so much care. It was as if you were made out of some kind of delicate material.
A feeling of regret rushed your body as you thought back to all the times you avoided and othered him. Was this what you were missing all those times?
You could've been getting love like this but you willingly rejected it all. Stupid.
"...I'm sorry,,,"
A curious hum left his voice as he wondered what you could be referring to. None of this was your fault nor was coming to him any sort of burden.
",,,for y'know.”
You could feel his head gently tilt to the side as he was still confused as to what you meant.
“I've been a bad sister to you, dick. I’m so sorry.” Your shaky voice was pitched high as you fought against your tears.
Shaking his head, he rubbed circles on your back.
Richard held his own breath for a moment, processing the words you just said. It was almost unbelievable to hear those words escaping from your mouth. Almost as unbelievable for you to finally be in his arms like this, at your most vulnerable. A fuzziness started in the depths of his stomach and exploded his body in bliss.
This was a long awaited feeling he so desperately had been craving. At that moment, all of his patience was worth it. All he ever wanted was to be your safety net, your best friend and he’s finally getting it. He wanted you to hug him like this forever. He wanted you to be safe right here in his arms. This was everything he could ask for.
Pay offs like this confirms he chose right in prioritizing his family over everything. His tendencies weren’t indeed crazy but necessary. He’s the backbone of the bats.
Dick’s muscular arms tightening in their embrace, gave you a nice squeeze.
"If you were a bad sister, i wouldn't love you as much as i do. The world doesn't deserve an angel like you, neither do i."
Dick breaks the hug and puts your hands in his once more. A soft kiss is planted on your forehead and there's a beat that passes as he's observing you. His smile is wider than ever. To him, you're the most perfect sibling he could ever ask for.
"I'll do whatever it takes, even bending a few rules, if that means you can sleep peacefully. I’m your nightwing."

(Really hoping the March 15 deadline includes March 15. I'm posting this before midnight on March 14 in my timezone, but it is already March 15 for Joel.)
Process TL;DR:
I've decided a group of Joels is called a mania.
My favourite part of Joel's season has been his many characters, as well as the Hermit Baths On Hermitcraft podcast, so I decided to combine those two things in this drawing.
This piece started as a bunch of sketches at work and took me about 20 hours to draw, plus an additional 8 hours fighting tech issues (including a crash that lost me the completed drawing (luckily I took this screenshot just before)).
Despite my struggles with that + screen rec software, there'll be a timelapse video of my drawing process coming soon on my channel!
Re: the title, I've decided a group of Joels is called a "mania" (like how a group of horses, for example, is a "herd").
One of my favourite things about Joel's season are all the fun intros and characters he's created, which inspired me to create something that showcases some of the main Joels we've met so far. I also really like the Hermit Baths On Hermitcraft (Another Podcast Hosted By A Straight White Male), so I figured the bathhouse would be the perfect place for a mania of Joels! I would've loved to include all the Joels, but by my count, there are at least 26 distinct Joels in this season so far, which is far too many Joels for me to fit in one image (and several of them are hard to distinguish based on appearance alone).
Since I could only include so many, I tried to choose Joels who are either recurring characters, or relevant to other things Joel has done in his videos. With that in mind, on this episode of Hermit Baths On Hermitcraft we've got Joel Who Asks You To Subscribe, News Reporter Joel, Bad Boy Joel (the statue counts as being in the season imo), Bartender (Horse Killer? :0) Joel, Officer Joel (RIP Detective Joel, would've loved to include him but it wouldn't be lore-accurate for him to be alive), Joel Who Totally Isn't Obsessed With Etho, Frogger Joel, Podcast Host Joel, and Singer Joel.
A few details I wanted to highlight:
News Reporter Joel always has a headline scroll bar with him. He doesn't know how or why. It's just there.
Joel Who Totally Isn't Obsessed With Etho not only has the Etho shirt on, but he's also in etho cosplay (headband) and has Etho face floaties (no idea where that came from but once I'd thought it I couldn't un-think it).
I'm most proud of Frogger Joel's outfit. He's got a froggy hat, frog crop top, lilypad shorts, and frog shoes with lilypad tops.
Singer Joel's kimono was originally going to have a pattern of symbols relating to Joel's season, but then I realized those wouldn't show up very well with the lowered resolution. The planned symbols included music discs, xp bottles, axolotls, slime balls, honeycomb, frogs, horses, glow squid, and glow berries.
Podcast Host Joel's abs are drawn on. Gem said it so it's canon.
Bartender Joel's vest is the same colour and pattern as that horse head...
And now for the process! I know a lot of you probably aren't that interested in it, but I spent a lot of time on this so I'd at least like to record my efforts.
This piece actually started on paper, because I work a lot and I knew I wouldn't have time to do the whole piece if I didn't at least do some advance planning during down time at my job. However, all I had at work was some scrap paper and a pencil (I couldn't even find an eraser the day I started this!), so I needed to find some way to get the aspect ratio correct without a ruler. While there were no rulers at work, I was able to find some mini origami paper, and since that's a perfect square, I was able to use it to replicate the sizing I'd chosen. I sketched out the general background layout, used two of those lines + the edge of another piece of paper to determine the vanishing point, then re-drew the rest of the background according to the point I'd determined. These techniques worked shockingly well, and when I scanned the drawing and checked my measurements in my drawing program, they were surprisingly accurate!
With the scan uploaded, along with a page of outfit design sketches I had also done at work, I ran into my next hurdle: screen recording software. To keep a long and agonizing story short, I draw on an old tablet that has very little storage, RAM, or processing power, so OBS + my drawing program were not an option. The drawing program itself doesn't have a timelapse feature either, so I had to go find another piece of software that would meet my needs. I even tried using my tablet as a third screen for my PC, which could absolutely handle the processing and storage needs of this project, but the latency was far too high for that to be a feasible option. Trying all of these options took at least 8 hours and at one point had the side effect of permanently messing up something on my main PC monitor that causes it to reset all its settings periodically (if anyone has any idea what's going on with that, I'd love to not have to re-do my settings every couple minutes or so).
My tablet's limited storage also resulted in me almost losing a portion of my footage, but you can rest assured that I've managed to save all of it, and if it's useable I will be editing it down into a timelapse + process video to upload to my channel! The video will probably include a lot of the information here, but hopefully it'll be a bit more interesting and engaging! (I was originally going to link the video here instead of writing all these paragraphs, but the drawing took so long I haven't had time to make the video).
Finally, after spending basically all of my free time at home during the past two weeks working on this drawing, I finished it just a couple hours ago.
I hit save.
And got an error message.
Storage issue.
Since the image resolution is intended to be reduced anyway (for minecraft painting, but also just how tumblr treats images), I grabbed a screenshot of the finished piece before my tablet crashed and rebooted. It saved some of my work, but not all of it, so this is now the only complete version of the piece in existence.
At the end of the day, I'm just glad I finished it on time and am happy with the final product. If you've read this far, thank you so much for your patience with my rambling, I hope you enjoy the final piece as much as I do. And thank you to Joel for creating such fun videos and awesome builds! I look forward to the rest of your first Hermitcraft season.

“You want a refill, love?” The young, blonde bartender offered Brielle a weak smile that she returned.
“Fuck it, why not?” She pushed the now empty martini glass aside watching her work. It wasn’t long ago that Brielle was the hustler on the other side of the bar. Every bartender had a sixth sense. One that told them who needed a drink versus who just wanted one. And Brielle was in desperate need of a drink.
She turned slightly away from the bar top to scan the sea of people in the upscale ballroom before her, looking for one face in particular. Normally he wouldn’t be hard to spot. He stood six foot three, and was two hundred and sixty-five pounds of pure muscle. Only, the room was full of men with the same build in suits.
She tapped her expensive Russian manicure on the glass surface, squinting. She found him surrounded by a few of his colleagues and his boss, indulging in what looked like deep conversation. She fought the urge to roll her eyes knowing it couldn't have been that deep. Most likely the usual mindless chatter men share. Sports, pussy, wrestling, cars, politics and more pussy.
Brielle couldn't help but to stare. He was Dapper Dan, in an all black Tom Ford suit, hand-picked by Brielle herself. On his left wrist sat a two-toned AP. No diamonds. He had never been the flashy type. He didn't need to be. His aura spoke for itself, always giving away the fact that he was worth a billion before he ever even opened his mouth. Clean cut with a thick dark beard, lined to perfection. His shiny locks pulled back in his signature sleek bun.
He must've felt her. His eyes locked in on her before she even noticed he was staring back. He flashed that billion dollar smile from across the room and Brielle almost forgot that she wanted to be anywhere else but where she currently stood.
Just when it looked like he would make his way over, two more of his colleagues joined the group, reeling him back in. Oh, fuck me, she thought.
“Babe, while you're at it, how about a shot of Vodka?" Brielle asked with her head now in her hands.
The bartender chuckled at the only miserable seeming person in the ballroom. "Particular brand?”
"Whatever has the highest percentage.”
It was the week before a paper-view event. Summer-slam? Royal Rumble? Wrestle-mania?—Shit she didn’t know. She couldn’t keep up with that shit anymore than he could keep up with the endless runway shows and fashion weeks all over the world. What she did know? It was all a pain in her ass. The whole ordeal. The weeks leading up, the actual event, and all the fallout from it. Black tie events, interviews about storylines she didn’t have a clue about, terms she barely understood and unfamiliar faces. Worst of all? Her man’s hands were too full to assist in carrying any of her weight.
He was the one. The whole WWE universe orbited around him and the rest of the Bloodline. That was means for him to be involved in every little aspect of the company. Pulled him every which way, in every direction. The forefront of it all.
In his world, Brielle always found herself taking a step back. She was used to being center of attention, all eyes on her, and the camera’s object of affection. But this was different. Sports entertainment wasn’t her lane. The cameras and microphones weren’t for her here. Its like someone picked Barbie up and dropped her in an all men’s gym.
"Here you go, love."
Brielle’s night was starting to go uphill at the sight before her. A colorful martini and a clear shot filled to the brim of the shot glass. God bless the bartender.
“Thank you so much. Do I even wanna know what this is?” She picked up the shot first.
“Probably not,” she shook her head, already onto the next patron flagging her down.
Like it was water, Brielle got it down in one gulp and chased it with the Apple martini. She should’ve asked for a water. The shot ignited her insides like a furnace, waking her up immediately.
“Oh, come on girl. It can’t be that bad.” Her lips curved widely into a genuine smile at the familiar voice. “What you got going on over here?” Jey held the martini glass up to his nose and jerked his head back with a screwed face. “I can’t get with that vodka, now.”
“Good. It's for the grown ups anyway.” He pulled her slim body into a comforting hug. “Where’s Kecia?” She looked past him for his wife, getting her hopes up that maybe this night wouldn’t be so excruciating if she had a friend.
“Lil’ man got sick. I’m dolo tonight.” She audibly exhaled and flagged the bartender down.
“Yeah, i’ma need another one of whatever that was.”
He rubbed her bare back that was exposed in the silk Roberto Cavalli gown, in an attempt to alleviate some tension. He’s bore witness already on multiple occasions, of what the night could become after Brielle’s frustrations have been amplified by too many drinks.
“Where’s that big-headed husband of yours?” He searched.
She waved a hand. “He was somewhere talking to Hunter in a huddle. I think I saw Seth with them. I doubt they’re in the same spot still.”
“Stay put,” he instructed before walking off.
Two shots and two drinks later, Brielle had opened and closed every app downloaded to her phone. She made useless conversation with the young blonde that fed her drinks, getting interrupted every time someone new came up to ask for a drink. It seemed like she was second priority to everyone in her line of sight.
She looked over her slim shoulder to find Joe, with Paul by his side, and to no surprise a camera and microphone in their faces. He stood with his big hands locked in front of him, listening to each of their questions intently.
The ballroom hosting the night was exquisite. The pinnacle of wealth. A three-piece chandelier hung from the center of the high ceiling. Spacious as can be with marble flooring. Cathedral-like interior, giving the room an ancient castle feel. White clothed table tops accompanied by groups of people, babysitting glasses of champagne, caught in conversation. Then there was Brielle. Secluded, getting drunk at the bar.
It’s not that Brielle was ungrateful or necessarily unhappy. What was happiness anyway? In a room full of prominent strangers, drink in hand, she thought about what happiness and living a fulfilling life meant to her before. Before all of this. Not just Joe and his world, but her new one too.
Before the flashing lights and glamour, it seemed so simple. She just wanted to survive. So happiness to her back then would’ve been the equivalent to just living, as opposed to surviving. And however that came, she was ready to snatch it by the balls and never let go. Didn’t matter if it was attached to a wealthy man, the lottery by some miracle, or just straight finesse.
Brielle had came a long way from sleeping on her sister’s couch and surviving off scraps of tips in a sports bar. She was scouted on a late night slinging drinks. An older caucasian man who was just there to watch the NFL game, ended up being one of the head photographers for French Vogue.
One look at her face, with exceptional bone structure, beauty mark planted naturally on her chin, soft doe eyes, and he was mesmerized. Inspired. He almost had to beg her to come to his studio and take a few pictures. It was New York. Any old pervert with a camera could come in a bar and lure a young beautiful woman to his “studio.” And although Brielle, starving for a change of pace in life and obviously struggling, with her long low ponytail loose from the chaotic night; that didn’t mean she had to be desperate or naïve.
He slid his business card on the bar top. Still hustling and bustling to give the growing crowd their drinks, she didn’t even give it one look. “Just think about it, please!” He shouted with a thick accent over the wave of excitement after the Eagles made a touchdown. “My number is on the card!”
“Yeah, sure!” She shouted back uninterested. Almost a whole half hour after he left, she shook the alcohol-soiled card from off the bar top and when her eyes focused on the French Vogue logo, she nearly choked.
Damn right she called the next morning. Seven a.m. sharp. She had only clocked out three hours before and stole an hour of sleep.
He instructed her to come bare faced, in a white tank top, jeans, and her hair pulled back, just as it was the night before. She didn’t know he really meant just how it was the night before. When she arrived with a tight low ponytail, slicked back to perfection, he pulled it looser and staged a few fly aways.
He ordered her to move exactly how he wanted her.
“Chin up, please.”
“Raise your hand a little.”
“Turn slightly to the right.”
“Look away from the camera.”
She posed and posed, while he snapped away. It took hours. The whole morning had passed. He needed it to be perfectly imperfect. Although skilled in professional photography and supermodels being his area of expertise, Brielle was new territory for him. He had to find a way to sell the young distressed girl from the Harlem bar, with deer-like beauty, to the executives at Vogue.
They were looking for the next big thing. And while their eyes were on the next Bella Hadid or Kendall Jenner, he had something better in mind. Something more refreshing and relatable. When destiny placed him right on a path to spotting Brielle in that bar, he felt his whole life about to change forever. And it did. Right along with hers.
She wore stardom well. Fame fit her like it was custom made. The “It Girl.” Thats what they were calling her. Known for her doe eyes, the beauty mark, and her sharp east coast wit. She rose to the top of the food chain at what seemed like the speed of light. Everything had moved so fast. The flashing lights of cameras blinded her at every corner. A new city, a new country every other week. A complete one-eighty for a girl who prior to signing with her modeling agency, had never been outside of New York.
She was partying with the A-listers and whoever was above them at the top of the social food chain. Gracing the cover of over three hundred magazines, both national and international. The most desired runway model of her peers. She was being pulled and stretched thin. She was zooming through life in the fast line, picking up nasty habits just to keep up. She was swimming in millions, so stopping or even slowing down wasn't an option.
The general public had their eyes glued to her. She picked up the attention of CEOs, NBA players, actors, and anyone else who mattered. Brielle had always been the kind of girl to live her life on the go. Never limiting herself to one man because she saw herself as too much woman for just one anyhow. She dated and fucked them all. Spent their money well and had them hanging off the edge of their seat for more. None of them stuck. None of them were special or so different from the one before. That was until she crossed paths with WWE Superstar, Roman Reigns, or as she would come to know him as, Joseph Anoa’i.
One erotic night spent with him after an ESPY Awards afterparty, and it couldn’t have been more clear to her that he had to be hers. She’d keep this one for herself. He was like nothing she had ever experienced before. Joe was a go-getter, just like her. They were cut from the same cloth. The breadwinners of their family, paving the way and making it seamless for everyone who came after them.
When she found herself in Joe’s orbit, that fast life filled with nasty habits, slowed down a bit. Nothing else mattered. It's like they were the only two on planet earth and everything else was just distant noise.
They married only three months after knowing each other. When you know, you just know. Of course the public had their opinions about how they were just another Hollywood couple that wouldn’t last, but majority of the world adored them.
The wedding was like a national holiday. Vogue did an entire spread of them and it was flying off the shelves. That cover would be the one to define the entire state of stardom in their generation. It was everywhere. Joe sitting open-shirt, with Brielle and her half a million dollar Givenchy wedding gown, on his lap. Picture perfect.
Fiji was their honeymoon destination. An entire week off the grid. Nothing but love making, skinny dipping in the waterfall caves, and two people who couldn’t seem to get enough of each other, celebrating a whole lifetime they had left to get tangled in each other’s web.
Returning to the states was like entering into another level of life. It seemed her instantaneous marriage to Joe, took her status from superstar to legendary. She was Dior’s new muse and Joe was her older, wealthy, athletic husband. For the first time in all of Brielle’s twenty-five years of living, she was happy.
But that was back then. Three years later the stakes are higher. She’s adapted and now her ideas of what happiness is, have changed. She’d have to go back to the drawing board to figure out exactly what she wanted out of life. There were just a few hurdles and demons she’d have to address before then.
Her alcohol dependence for one. While most supermodels indulged in coke or popping pills, Brielle’s fatal flaw was alcohol. It started off as her just blacking out at parties like everyone else would. Then it escalated. She became the party girl. Always dancing on tables. Skinny dipping in someone’s pool. It was harmless until she started getting into scuffles in nightclubs. TMZ catching her and Joe having a screaming match where she was obviously drunk. Picking fights and starting shit with him at public events, like the one they were at now.
She clung to drinking because it helped her cope, especially lately, with the fact that the life she was doused in and became accustomed to, wouldn’t always be. It haunted her.
All models have an expiration date. She dreaded the day when it came. It would come like a thief in the night she had heard. One day she’d be trending, booked and shoved on every platform possible. The next day it would all vanish. She’d go from being Joe’s sexy, young, supermodel wife, to just his wife.
Alcohol was her companion. Alcohol was there on the lonely nights, early mornings, and impossibly long days. Alcohol was there on nights like tonight, when she felt alone in a room full of people. When her mind was overrun by dark thoughts of the unforeseeable future, where her career and everything she worked for would be in limbo.
Joe just didn’t get it. Women were treated accordingly based on their looks. Men were treated accordingly based on their pockets. He could be retired and worn out and they’d still love him as long as he was paid. This wasn’t her reality. And there bore another disconnect in their marriage.
She loved Joe. There was no denying that. A blind man didn’t need to see it, because just by standing within two feet of them he would be able to feel it. From the night they met, neither could ignore the magnet-like, invisible force, urging them to one another. First night, nothing but heat and passion transpired between them. And it stayed that way every night after, only growing. But sometimes passion painted an ugly picture. People were passionate about addiction. Others passionate about racism. Passion is not synonymous with healthy.
They came colliding into one another from two different worlds, seemingly at the same pace. Young, hungry, and swimming in new money. Only he was oil and she was water. Brielle just always felt like a jaguar in a room full of house cats. Completely out of place. Out of her element. Too much. Their worlds just didn’t mix. Or so she thought…
“Brielle?” A feminine voice questioned not too far from behind her.
Brielle paused her idle twisting of the wedding ring, weighing her left hand down, to turn to the voice in question.
A yellow-boned, thin woman, as tall as her stared back with an infectious grin. She had thick, wavy curls, cascading down her back. The emerald green silk gown she wore only enhancing her smooth skin. The bitch was bad and still, Brielle couldn’t pinpoint where she knew her from.  Brielle’s eyes somehow landed on the red birthmark that adorned the mystery woman’s right hand and it hit her like a wrecking ball.
“Millie?” Her head dipped. “Oh my god.” The two beauties conjoined in a hug and rocked side to side chuckling in equal disbelief that they had found one another. “What are you doing here?”
“Girl, modeling was a bust. Trying to dip my toes into this sports journalism thing. I’ve just been interviewing some of the guys on the roster before Summerslam next week.”
Millie had been one of the very few models Brielle took a liking to during her early years doing runway. During her first fashion week they were glued to each other’s hip. Exchanging gossip,  sex stories, walking tips and beauty secrets.
It had been nearly two years since she laid eyes on her. It's like she had vanished from the face of the earth. That happened a lot in the modeling industry. So many pretty faces came and went. It was hard to keep up. She chalked it up to her probably getting sent to rehab for a coke problem or something. Thats usually where the models disappeared to. That or a billionaire from another country scooped them up.
Born to two Cuban immigrants, Millie was just trying to get ahead in the city of dreams, but nothing about her stood out to scouts and labels. She had a killer walk, but runway was all she could pull off. Her face card was exceptional, but it wasn't memorable. And anything other than memorable in the modeling world would get one tossed and forgotten quick.
“Where’s Joe?” Millie’s eyes danced around the room.
Brielle’s eyebrows shot up at the mention of her husband. His name fell so comfortably from the girl’s plump lips, it's like she’s said it a thousand times over.
“Joe?” Usually people who didn’t know him referred to him by his stage name, Roman. Millie had to have been somewhat familiar with him to call him by his name.
“Yeah,” she waved almost with a child-like giddiness once she found him across the way. He put a big hand up and nodded once to acknowledge her. Brielle tried to keep her face neutral, observing the whole exchange.
“Y-you know Joe?”
“Of course I do. He didn’t tell you?” She grinned wide.
Only Brielle’s eyes looked around in wonder. “Tell me what?” She chuckled to ease the underlying tension.
“Joe and I dated. Way, way back in the day.”
“Dated?” Her doe eyes became significantly wider. “Well, when was this?” She probed through a tight, manufactured smile as to not throw Millie off.
“Oh, girl,” the Latin beauty waved a dainty hand chuckling. “That was so long ago. He was still with The Shield, then. Didn’t even have a full beard.” Brielle tried to swallow an insult. It was on the tip of her tongue as she watched Millie eye her husband with nostalgia all in her gaze. No, she wanted her to keep spilling. She knew Joe would downplay it, so this was her best bet at collecting the truth.
“I was so happy for you guys after the proposal.” Millie finally snatched her eyes from Joe to focus on Brielle. “And that cover and spread in Italian Vogue? Fucking iconic…” It was now Brielle’s turn to burn a hole through her husband. She tried her best to not let the thoughts running through her mind, show on her face, but it was all in the vein that made itself visible on her forehead. The constant rubbing of her fingertips. If Millie touched her, she’d probably jump like she had come in contact with a stovetop burner. “It's crazy though,” Millie continued with her head cocked to the side. “Joe never struck me as the marrying type. Don’t get me wrong he’s an absolute sweetheart. I just couldn’t see him sitting in one spot long enough for just one woman to catch his attention. I guess men really do change for who they want to,” Millie finished with a drawn out sigh.
“Yeah. I guess they do, huh…”
“Well, this was a shock.” Millie stretched her arms out and Brielle came in for another hug. Her smile faded once she rested her chin on her shoulder and reemerged after pulling back.
“It was really nice to see you, Mills. Good luck on the whole journalism thing.”
Millie flashed Brielle another bright smile and walked off in a direction she wasn’t paying attention to because she was too busy glaring at Joe still.
There were days when Brielle took into account what the public had said about her marriage. That it was fake. For publicity. Or that it simply wouldn’t last because of how fast the two seemingly fell in love.
They didn’t waste any time. Fucked on the first night. Vacationed together a week after. He was moving her in just a month later. Before Brielle knew it, he was down on one knee asking her to spend the rest of her life with him. Her infatuation with the kindhearted man who looked like he could kill anyone with his bare hands, drove her decision. She loved the way he took charge of his life and career, and turned the entire business in his family’s favor. How he kicked cancer’s ass. How every room he went in, people couldn’t help but to stop and stare.
It seems they did everything backwards. Got all the big hurdles out the way and worked their way down. Brielle found herself at times dumbfounded at just how little she knew about Joe’s past. Too many times she’s had to sit and listen to someone tell her something about the man she slept next to.
She’s not stupid. Of course there were women before her. I mean look at him. But a model? Models were such superficial creatures. Always caught up in glamour and materialistic matters. Joe was too grounded and down to earth in Brielle’s mind to bat an eye at what the world viewed as a mannequin. She thought she was the exception. Clearly not.
From across the way, Joe caught his wife staring at him again. His mouth curved into a smirk and he winked at her.
“Sexy, two-faced bastard,” she mumbled bringing the glass of vodka to her lips.
Tumblr media
The couple rode back to their penthouse in an uncomfortable silence. After any event, the partition  was rolled up so Brielle could bless her man whatever way she saw fit. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other. But tonight, she clung to the left door in the back of the black Suburban, eyes never leaving the tinted window, gazing at the bright lights that decorated the city.
Joe gave a harsh side eye to her. The deliberate space she placed between them by crossing her legs to the door was a dead give away that she was pissed. Physical touch was a shared love language between them. The absence of it could be felt immediately.
He refused to gauge what the issue was in such a confined space. That mistake was made several times before and never ended well. He’d have to wait until they were alone and in the comfort of their own space.
She didn’t realize, but his eyes were on her all night while she threw each glass the bartender fed her back like it was the fountain of youth. When Jey found him they both exchanged looks. It didn’t need to be said. The soft spot Joe’s cousin grew for Brielle, couldn’t overshadow his concern for her obvious drinking problem. He and his brother Jimmy got a front row seat to the downfall of America’s beloved couple. Too many nights having to chase an intoxicated Brielle down, or dragging them apart from verbally destroying each other.
All night, Joe’s anxiety grew like wildfire with every drink and every minute that passed where he couldn’t just leave with her. Now, in the backseat of the truck, he rubbed his forehead already feeling a headache from the argument that hadn’t even happened yet. He wished he could just press a button and fast forward to the part where they fucked and forgot about whatever the problem was.
When they got to their building, she stormed out of the car not bothering to wait for the driver or Joe to open her door like usual. Ignoring the doorman and the lady at the front desk she usually greets, her heels clicked aggressively on the marble floor of the lobby all the way to the elevator.
Joe stood behind her near the back elevator wall. He bit his bottom lip at the deep line in her back that led to her perky ass. Even with her attitude, he had the urge to rip her clothes off and fuck it right out of her. The elevator dinged when they reached the top floor. She wasted no time breezing fiercely through the foyer area, and collecting the bottom of her gown in her hands to stomp up the wooden floating stairs.
“Brielle, bring your ass back down here.” He didn’t raise his voice. He didn’t have to. Brielle had fell in love with the way he could make the world and everyone in it shift without doing too much. Not tonight though. No, tonight the control he had over her pissed her off to no end. She turned around in the middle of the steps, but defiantly didn’t make a move to come down. Instead she stood her ground and crossed her arms like a child about to be grounded.
“Alright. Let’s get this shit over with.” He removed the suit jacket and laid it over the back of the all white loveseat and rested his hands on his hips. “What has pissed Brielle off tonight, huh?”
“Besides the fact that my husband has been passed around?” She shrugged throwing the first punch. “I don’t know.”
He chuckled in disbelief. “You wanna elaborate, sweetheart?”
“You and Millie? Why didn’t I know that you two dated?”
“Dated is a very generous word. More like slept together.”
“Don’t try to downplay it, okay? Doesn’t matter what happened between you two. Why did I have to hear it from her?”
“I don't understand what’s pissed you off? The fact that I’ve fucked with other women before you?”
“I’m not talking about other women.” She slapped the back of her hand to her other palm sharply. “I’m talking about one woman. A woman I considered a friend. A friend I told you about!”
His shoulders shrugged almost high enough to reach his ears. “Why does it matter? You knew her like two years ago—”
“It doesn’t matter if I knew her ten years ago, damn it!” She stormed down the stairs and brushed past him to the kitchen. Unbuttoning his shirt, he shook his head knowing what she went in there for. More alcohol.
Cabinets opened and shut continuously, until he heard her heels making their way back to the living room. She stood across from him vexed.
“I threw it out,” he answered the question she didn’t have to ask. Swallowing the lump in his throat, he was ready for however she would react.
She scoffed and giggled at once. “Don’t you think my drinking is the last thing you should be worried about right now?”
“What could be more important than you getting healthy?”
She rolled her eyes looking to the ceiling with a forced smile. “I can’t believe this. I sat there all night watching you work the room. By myself! While you work, you expect me to just sit in a corner like a fucking mannequin? Smile and look pretty, right? Don’t say a word, don’t draw too much attention? Well tell me, Joe, what would you have done tonight?” She held a hand up. “Oh wait! Don't let me forget, just when the night couldn’t get any worse, I have to hear the horror story of how my husband and my friend used to fuck!”
“You are so fucking ungrateful,” he shook his head removing his cufflinks. “Unbelievable.”
“Un—” She scoffed. “Ungrateful?” She turned her head as if she didn’t hear him right.
“Thats right,” he nodded with a face void of any expression. “Look around you. Look at where you are.” He spread his toned arms out wide. “In a penthouse overlooking all of Brooklyn. Five  hundred thousand dollar dress on. Closet full of designer that could feed a fucking third-world country. Fucking thousand dollar sculptures from Italy, just for it to sit on a glass table all day.” Brielle flinched at the Versace Rokko Cheetah sculpture flying to the other side of the room and shattering. Just as quick, she straightened up, knowing he wasn’t crazy enough to take his frustrations out on her that way.
“What’s your point, Joe?”
“My fucking point is, I put you on the highest pedestal possible and I work my ass off every day to make sure you can live like this. And all you seem to be worried about is some bitch I was smashing, back when I used to bring a damn blow up mattress with me to arenas?” He squinted in disbelief.
“You’re missing my whole point!”
“What point?!”
Back and forth they shouted, but still neither one of them heard the other. It was all pointless. Just a battle of pride and resentment.
“Oh my god,” he threw his hands up. “Oh my god. This is fucking stupid. I can’t believe this, is what you want to fight about.”
Brielle’s chest stung and her eyes followed suit. Her feelings were stupid now. Just a blimp on his star-studded life. There was a point in time, where every little need, every little voice of discomfort, he would fall at his feet to correct for her.
She turned and rushed up the steps. She was overwhelmed and refused to keep the yelling match up. In their walk-in closet, she let the dress fall and pool around her feet, to change into her mint-colored Juicy Couture sweatsuit. She stuffed an LV duffel with clothes and headed to the bathroom next to sweep everything that was hers off the counter and into the bag.
Unfazed by her theatrics, Joe sat on the couch downstairs, shaking his head at all the ruckus she was making.
“G’head,” he waved. “Leave. You’ll be back anyway.”
“Fuck you, Joe!”
“Yeah, sure.” He sat back on the cream colored couch, arms outstretched, dress shirt unbuttoned, without a care in the world.
Brielle and him both knew she wasn’t going anywhere. It was the same shit every time. They’d argue and fuss all night, she’d threaten to leave, packing a bag to stay in an expensive hotel, paid for with his black card. He’d show up with an expensive gift. Usually jewelry. Maybe a bag by some designer that hadn’t even hit the shelves yet. A trip to an island she had never been before. Shoes. Those were her favorite. She had a whole collection in the walk-in, courtesy of Joe. Each pair she could pinpoint which argument it was a result of.
After the grand gift, it was make up sex and they’d be in the honeymoon phase for two weeks tops, then the cycle repeats. Joe had grown tired of it. Two years ago it was exciting and far left from the good girls with degrees he was used to.
Brielle was a breath of fresh air until her ways started to suffocate him. She had a personality that was larger than life and an attitude to match. Included in the packaging was a love so fiery and consuming, you forget to breathe. And although he had seen enough, been through enough, and was old enough to know better, he still found himself from time to time gasping for air after forgetting to breathe around her.
She was like a drug. Potent, exhilarating, and unpredictable. He was hooked. And unfortunately for the both of them, he wouldn’t know how to get off her even if he tried.
Bag slung over her shoulder, she made her way back downstairs and all the way to the door.
“Brielle…” The sound of his baritone voice had her frozen in place. He closed his eyes and inhaled deep from his nose. “You walk out that door and you gon’ be sorry.”
“I just need space—”
“Then pick a room. It's real spacious in here.”
Brielle turned and made her pursuit back to the stairs. He wasn’t going to let her leave tonight. She didn’t just want space, she wanted the one thing she depended on when it felt like the walls of her life were closing in on her. And he was actively trying to take that away from her.
“I hate you,” she spat with venom in all three words.
The foot that was previously propped up on the glass coffee table came down as he sat up, elbows rested on his knees.
“Im sorry…what?”
“You heard me.” She started back up the floating steps, but halted upon seeing him rise to his full height in her peripheral. She had only made it to the third step. She turned in place and there he was at the bottom, eye level now.
“You wanna repeat that again, while I’m standing right here in your face?” He dared, hands clasped in front of him.
She knew better than to test him. Hate wasn't something they just tossed back and forth. Irritation, maybe. Disgust even. But hate? Joe didn’t play that shit. Not with her or anybody else in his circle.
He nodded with his tongue just barely teasing the hairs on the side of his mouth. “Yeah, I thought so.”
“That fucking character you play,” she squinted looking him up and down. “It’s not a fucking character! You’re a narcissistic, manipulative, controlling—”
“You were singing a whole different tune this morning.” Her mind flashed to just fourteen hours prior when he was balls deep, quite literally driving her up the shower wall. In the aftermath they held each other as she told him how much he meant to her and how he changed her life. The man from this morning and the one in front of her were two different men with the same face.
She shook her head holding back tears. “You’re never who I need you to be when I need you to be it,” she exaggerated. Joe always knew who to be. Always knew exactly where it hurt. If he showed up as something different it was seldom and with purposeful intent.
Something dark flashed in his eyes. “Well maybe if you opened your fucking mouth and told me what you needed, I could provide it. But, no. You’d rather look for answers at the bottom of a shot glass! So tell me, Brielle—tell me! What do you need?!”
“I don’t know!” She screamed in frustration and was snatched off the steps by the front of her hoodie.
Their lips collided. Two tornadoes full of angst coming together to form what was their complicated ass marriage.
See, Joseph Anoa’i the man outside of the ring was delicate and considerate. He displayed affection as much as he could and never touched Brielle with any thing less than love. However, the man he was in the bedroom, or wherever else he saw fit to take Brielle down, was a beast. Unforgiving and relentless. His ring persona, Roman Reigns, took over him like he had a split personality. He manipulated, tossed and flipped Brielle’s slim frame however he wanted her. Narcissistic in the way he couldn't care less if he hit it so hard that she couldn’t breathe.
Tonight was no different. As a matter of fact, tonight he had something to prove. It was deeper than just make up sex, or angry sex. He intended to break Brielle down. Resentment and frustration grew inside of him like weeds, all stemming from Brielle’s misbehaved, toxic and unpolished ways whenever she got an ounce of liquor in her. The garden was no longer pretty. He was tired of faking the funk. He was going to put his foot down tonight, making sure she felt all the consequences of her actions.
His big hands slid down to the back of her knees, hiking her up so her long legs could wrap around his waist. He never broke the connection. His thick tongue continued to invade her mouth, claiming what’s his.
The pair expended all their breath and stole more from one another. That was the complicated formula of their bond. Give and take. Take then give.
Brielle stared up in awe at the god before her after he released her onto their all white couch. Every ridge and line in his abdomen telling a story of his hard work and dedication to his craft. He removed the black button up to reveal the rest of the artwork on his right arm, never breaking eye contact with his wife. His manhood made an impressive print through his slacks as it begged for freedom.
Brielle wasn’t moving fast enough for him. In fact, she wasn’t moving at all. She was too mesmerized by the sight of him. Good enough to eat, she thought. Every time she saw his body it felt like the first time.
He tore the zipper of her Juicy hoodie down in such haste to reveal her chocolate nipples, he broke it. Before Brielle could complain, she was flipped over and put on all fours. The waistband of her sweats were pulled down to her knees, exposing her warm core to the cold air.
A gasp escaped her lips as they fell wide open from the feeling of his entire mouth latching onto her most sensitive nerve. The entirety of his palms covered both ass cheeks, as he spread them apart to feast on her.
He didn’t have the patience for formalities. She didn’t deserve it anyway. He attacked her clit, switching from sucking and licking with broad strokes of his tongue.
“Oh my—fuckkkk.” Brielle was stuck between pushing back into his mouth and running from it completely. She wouldn’t get far. The grip his rough hands established on her ass would lock her in place.
“Sweet ass,” he mumbled into her. He pulled away for a second to bite down on her left cheek before going back to eating. A pit of pure ecstasy formed in her lower stomach impossibly fast. She shut her eyes tight, prepared to explode, listening to the wet sounds of him demolishing her and his hefty breaths. Her breathing accelerated while she reached for the pillow to gain some type of hold. And just when she thought she would reach her peak, she was left with nothing.
Joe pulled completely away once he decided she was ready for him. Something like a whimper left her pouted lips. He took his time unbuckling his pants and releasing himself from the confines of his briefs.
“Stay down,” he demanded in a dark tone that sent a chill down her spine.
Brielle felt like a junkie, waiting and barely able to keep still. Joe’s tongue slid out over his top lip at the masterpiece before him. His supermodel wife, bent over and her wet, fat center exposed, waiting for him. His dick jumped and he grabbed the base of it to align with her pussy.
His thick mushroom head glided along her arousal, coating himself to prepare for entry. She struggled to keep still. He kept grazing over her sensitive bud and it was torture. She knew he was doing it on purpose. It was wicked how he watched her desperate, contorted face and listened to her pants knowing he could put an end to her misery.
“Joe—Uhnn!” Brielle release a guttural moan from him pushing himself all the way in and bottoming out. Joe stayed there for a minute trying to brace himself. The grip and slickness always felt brand new. She was a hot head with an even hotter pussy, making it nearly impossible to leave her alone. He’d lose his mind just at the thought of another getting to experience this after him.
Without warning he palmed the back of her neck so her face was flush against the couch cushion and he snapped his hips against hers repeatedly. Mercilessly.
“Get off me.” He shoved the arm she reached back, careful not to lose his rhythm. Although small, as a result of her strict diet and expensive Lagree classes, that ass still jiggled with every thrust.
“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Ahh!” She moaned out every time he shoved his thickness back into her.
“Shut up,” he jerked his hips as far as they could go and got comfortable. It felt too good to move and he was determined to make her lose her fucking mind.
Brielle’s mouth fell wide open. She didn’t know what she felt. The line between pain and pleasure started to blur. She reached a hand back, in another attempt to make him ease up, but he caught it just in time and pinned it behind her small back in a vice grip.
“Joe—
“Shut the fuck up,” his top lip curled, thrusting into her again with the same force as before. “I don’t wanna hear none of that shit. Fucking take it.” His free hand came down hard on her ass, immediately causing red welts to form.
Brielle was a glutton for punishment. Her pussy contracted and it was so wet she could hear the squishy noises like somebody was playing in running water.
“You hear that shit, Bri?”
“Yes, baby. She’s so wet for you."
“At least she’s honest.” His breathing was erratic as he tried to talk shit and fuck her at the same time. “She always shows me love.” His hand came down again and he relished at the sight of her ass with new welts forming.
“Fuck!” She cried. Another smack. Then another. His pace never faltering. He let his bottom lip sink between his teeth, concentrating on how his dick slid in and out of her effortlessly. She left him shining and covered in white stuff. Every stroke wetter than the last.
“You hate me, Bri?” His eyebrows furrowed. She tried her best to look back at him. A sheen of sweat covered him and his hair had fell wildly over his broad shoulders.
Joe’s battle with leukemia had him holding everyone he loved in a vice grip, close to his chest, fearing the day he ever had to let go. He didn’t have the luxury to invite negativity and hate of all things into his space. Which is why when Brielle expressed it earlier, it triggered something in him.
Brielle shook her head as much as she could. “No—no!”
“Huh?”
His larger frame hovered over hers as he leaned over and gripped the back of the couch to push harder into it from a different angle.
“Oh god! No—baby I swear I didn’t mean it! I didn’t mean it. Fu-uuuck!” Her voice shook as she tried to reason with him.
“Tell daddy how sorry you are,” he toyed with her. Joe only needed to hear it for his own ego. He already knew she was sorry. She looked the part. Brows turned down, hands reaching and grasping to hold onto something, while she struggled to breathe and keep her eyes from rolling to the back of her head. Pathetic.
She tried to catch her breath and fulfill his wishes, but his every move sent a shockwave of pleasure right through her. All she could focus on was the feeling happening where they connected.
“Say it,” he demanded through clenched teeth.
“I-I’m sorry! I’m so sorry, daddy. It won’t happen again!”
“Yeah, I know it won’t. Mhm, fuck.” His ways were backfiring on him as he felt the pressure for release build in his lower stomach.
Slowing his movements down, his hand came down on her ass again. “Come on,” he instructed. She already knew the drill, rocking back and forth on him at her own pace to help them both get to the finish line.
Together they ogled at one another. Brielle in complete awe at what he was doing to her body. Joe mesmerized by the beauty below him and trying to reconcile how she became his biggest problem.
He loved the fuck out of her. Would do anything for her. His favorite accomplishment. He vowed to spend the rest of his life with her, but everyday they spent together, that dream grew more out of reach.
How could something so ethereal looking be so problematic? So angry? So insecure?
Small whimpers and cries spilled from her throat before she made a declaration that calmed him as much as it terrified him.
“I’m gonna love you forever,” she declared. It was like a hex. A spell. Binding him to her forever. Cause the hard unshakeable truth was that as long as Brielle wanted him here, he’d never leave. No matter how many fights, how many crash outs, public incidents, he knew leaving her alone would leave him suffering.
Against his initial mission to punish her, his soft nature took control. He leaned all the way down to capture her plump lips in a kiss. He left a trail of open-mouthed kisses from her mouth to her cheek, until he reached her ear. Whispering a mix of loving reassurances and vile obscenities to her.
“I love you so much, Bri. Keep fucking me, baby. Just like that. Yesss. You feel so good,” he encouraged in between huffs of breath. “It’s all yours baby. Take it. Just yours. Nobody else’s.” His deep voice directly in her ear and the smell of her own arousal lingering on his beard, sent her body into overdrive as her pussy spasmed around him.
Brielle’s orgasm caused a chain of reactions. His dick swelled inside her while his balls tightened. At the last second he pulled out and covered her round ass with his release. She wasn’t on birth control and loathed the idea of kids ruining her physique.
He stroked himself until the last of his cum oozed out and threw his head back. “Mm,” he groaned. Shame on Brielle. She laid on the couch, head spinning from the beating she just took mixed with all the shots she took earlier. She was just about ready to call it a night, but Joe had other plans.
“Not done with ya ass yet. Come show me how sorry you are.” Like he had just ran a match fighting off guys twice his size in the ring, his chest rose and fell as his voice became menacingly deep.
His tall frame stood in the living room, widening his stance with his hips slightly pushed forward. His dick was covered in her essence, still hard as a rock, swaying slightly from him shifting his weight back and forth on both legs.
She climbed down from the couch, knowing better than to make him wait. Crawling like the feline she was at heart, she stopped right in front of him. God, he was just fucking perfect. All she really wanted to do was climb on him and drag another nut out, but it had to wait.
Placing her dainty hands on his muscular thighs, she gazed up him and ducked slightly to swirl her tongue on his large balls. "Yeah," he breathed deep, savoring the feeling of her warm mouth.
She took his heavy dick in her hand, giving the tip teasing licks and swirls. The visual of her on her knees worshiping him was a sight to see as she gathered spit and let it ooze onto him before sinking his length into her mouth. She squeezed her eyes shut, pushing him as far as she possible could.
“Look at me,” he instructed in a guttural tone followed by a moan. It was music to her ears. Everything about him turned her on. She studied him and the look of mixed lust and love he provided as their eyes locked, prompting her to slide a hand down and rub herself. “That’s right. Get it wet for me.” He rocked back and forth in her mouth, on the brink of another orgasm that quick. She watched the muscles in his abdomen flex from trying to hold his nut in.
He gathered her long silky tresses into somewhat of a ponytail in his hands and pushed her head down to hit the back of her throat repeatedly.
Going as far as her throat allowed he held her there and instinctively her hands pushed at his strong thighs. Tears spilled out the corner of her eyes feeling his warm release coat her throat.
“Aghh!” He threw his head back, going to a whole different realm for a while and coming back down to earth. He looked down at the beauty below him. Mouth still full of him, mascara running, with spit decorating her chin and chest. She looked perfect to him like this. Vulnerable. Submissive. But he knew it was all just a result of the circumstances. This version of her would be long gone and forgotten in the days to come. So he decided right then, he would take full advantage while he could.
He hissed upon sliding out of her mouth as her cheeks sunk in. He lifted her up with one arm and she wrapped her legs around him. His other hand found his still semi-hard thickness to ease into her. Together they exhaled when he slid in. The feeling of her had him bricked back up in no time.
"Hold on. Tighter," he instructed. He maneuvered her long legs in crook of his arms before moving her up and down at full force. All gas no brakes.
Tumblr media
Joe hummed softly to himself, turning in the California King bed toward his wife. It was late. Their night didn’t end until the wee hours of the morning. He immediately knocked out when it was over. He was exhausted mentally and physically.
Brielle however, couldn’t quiet her mind long enough to sleep. He found her wide awake, staring up at the ceiling in the dark room. The city lights from their bedroom window cascaded over her enough for him to see her face. Something was wrong.
“What’s going on?” He questioned in a sleepy voice.
“Can’t sleep.”
“Then come here.” When she didn’t make a move to come closer to him, his eyebrows dented. She lay frozen in place, as the noise from the city took away from the eerie silence in the room.
“Do you think I need help?”
Joe released the breath he didn’t know he was holding. They had this conversation before. Too many times. Only it was never a conversation. Mostly an argument of some sort. Him complaining and practically begging her to get help. Trying to reason and get her to see that drinking at every event, at every inconvenience, just wasn’t normal. That it was killing them. Killing her.
“Doesn’t matter what I think. What do you think about yourself?”
“I don’t know,” she admitted. “…I don’t know.” He watched a single tear slide out the corner of her eye. He wanted to blame his own eyes beginning to sting on him being a natural empath, but he knew that wasn’t the whole truth. He loved this woman. So by default, whatever she felt he also felt times ten.
“I used to look in the mirror and loved what I saw. I was confident. Proud of what I was. And that was when I had nothing. I was a nobody three years ago. Now i’m somebody and I just feel so empty…”
Seeing a glimpse of the girl he met years ago, who snatched his heart from his chest with no remorse, had him frozen in place. Vulnerability was not a dress Brielle wore often. He bore a hole into the side of her face while she confided in him.
“All the flashing lights, the cameras, the money…I don’t know if i’ll be able to handle the day it all stops. I don’t think I know who I am without it anymore. I never meant for it to go this far.”
Joe took her dainty hand in his and squeezed. An attempt to let her know that everything was going to be okay. But the truth of the matter is that he didn’t know if everything would be okay. He knew he loved her and that she loved him right back. Only problem with that? The saddest truth about life is that sometimes love is just not enough.

….Well?😂
I know y’all were asking for a continuation of Biggest Fan, but I already had this in the tuck and was hyper fixating. Plus, I’m not entirely sure I want to continue Biggest Fan yet since I didn’t plan on it. I’ll keep y’all updated.
As always, if you read up until this point, I am forever grateful. Feedback is greatly appreciated!

DESCENDANTS: The Rise of Red! (or the REAL hidden story in the movie + what’s gonna happen in the sequel THEORY!)
So we ALL watched the movie right? We ALL thought the plot sucked and the movie ended abruptly with a underwhelming climax?
WELL HERES WHY WERE WRONG!
So I did some really deep thinking, and I figured, these writers can’t be THAT stupid? The director can’t be THAT idiotic, lame, and boring? That would just embarrass Disney, not to mention all the well respected actors that are in this!
So I thought hard. I thought hard and I thought long. Like hella long. And I tallied up all the plot inconsistencies, all the weird explanations, all the very specific lines in songs, and I did it. I fixed descendants rise of red! I FIGURED IT OUT!
So!! Here it is! What TRULY happened that crowncoming night! And what going back in time actually did!
(I intentionally put a keep reading so if anyone wanted to avoid spoilers they can)
So! Now that we’re under the keep reading. Anything spoilerly can be said!
So first things first. The biggest theory everyone is saying.
ELLA DID IN FACT POISON BRIDGET!
Yes! I said it! We all thought the movie was leading to this! So it was underwhelming when it was revealed it was Uliana and her crew were the origins behind the prank.
OR WERE THEY?
We all saw that once they opened the book; they were frozen. Because they were ‘bad’ and Merlin’s security system was set into place.
And many of you came up with the giant plot hole that this would have happened REGARDLESS of whether Red and Chloe interfered.
AND YOUR RIGHT!
This sole reason, is why the group COULDNT have done it! Not only were they frozen, but they couldn’t read the recipe, and were properly sent to detention, ergo exonerating them from being at the dance! Meaning their was literally no way they could have been behind the prank!
So with them being withheld from the dance, who could it be? Who was the one person who was originally at the dance, but now no longer could be? What was the one actual change that Red and Chloe set off?
ELLA. AND THE VASE!
We all see that when the two go into Ella’s house, Chloe knocks over a Vase. Breaking it. Lady Tremaine GROUNDS Ella! Meaning that she COULD NOT go to the dance!
This DIDNT happen originally! Meaning Ella DID go to the dance in the original timeline! Which is proven when Cinderella (I’m calling Adult Ella, Cinderella) talks to The Red Queen (I’m calling Adult Bridget The Red Queen) about how the prank being pulled was wrong. She had first handed knowledge of the prank. AND she told Chloe she fell in love with Charming at the dance.
But! Since Ella is the only difference in the two timelines in regarding to the dance, this is PROOF that she was the one who actually pranked Bridget, NOT Uliana and her crew!
So here’s what I think happened!
Ella, who saw Bridget being bullied about the cupcakes, and saw Uliana take all the cupcakes. And promptly being threatened by Uliana. Decided to bake Bridget something to cheer her up. However Bridget literally has all of the cookbooks in auradon. As shown. So she snoops around and finds Merlin’s cookbook! (Because it’s also shown she’s okay with breaking the rules if it’s for a good cause. From her get our hands dirty song!) and double and, the book WOULD open for her because she is a good person. AND she was doing it for a good reason!
she flips through the book and finds some simple blase recipe that cheers Bridget up. Maybe gives her cool hair (Red hair??). Something simple but sweet.
However. While doing this, she happens to see the Monster food recipe. She doesn’t look at it for long of course. Just enough to remember it’s a thing.
BACK TO BRIDGET!
Now! I swear to whatever’s out there that the person who played Chloe said there was a queer character in Dedcendants 4. I can’t find it now but it was some tumblr or insta post. I know cause I immediately told my friend afterwards.
Anywho. I think Bridget is the queer character! We see in the movie her only friend was Ella. Not only that but she YEARNS for someone to care about enough to ask her out (in a romantic way like charming just tried to do for Ella) Ella, who again. Is Bridget’s only friend. And ergo, shows her love no one else does, IMMEDIATELY asks her to go to the dance with her! (Might have said as friends in the other timeline too. Who knows)
But! This only makes Bridget’s crush on Ella even BIGGER. And she falls in love with her! She probably thinks they might have a chance!
This is also somewhat proven by The Red Queens song ‘Love Ain’t It’
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Title ; Love Ain’t It
Red : “With all the Grief you’ve experienced”
Red (Speaking of Cinderella) : So you Knew her?
The Red Queen : I saw through her. Cinderella and I were classmates in a way.
(Notice how she uses Ella’s mocking name after she has time to recover from the interaction. She said ELLA originally when she caught her off guard. Also. The line. I SAW THROUGH HER. It’s a double edged sword. Saw through her fronts. Saw the hurting girl inside. Saw through her LIES saw the mean girl behind)
Proven by the next lines
The red Queen : I spent way to much time in this place
So I had to escape
the people might smile
but their two faced, too fake.
Girl was relentlessly bullied and betrayed by someone she loved
And Ella Knows it.
Cinderella : Some people act mean at first, because their too afraid to feel
[the reverse is also true]
Cinderella : Look hon. Back in high school, a mean prank was played
And ever since that fateful day
She was never the same, it’s quite a shame.
So the Red Queen sings a whole song about how Love isn’t it. And we ALL KNOW that her only connection to love as a kid was through ELLA. meaning Bridget HAD A CRUSH on Ella. Was IN LOVE. With Ella.
So. How did Crowncoming originally happen you ask?
Here’s my theory
Ella and Bridget go to the dance. They are happy! They have fun. Bridget falls further in love with Ella. Meanwhile. Ella falls in love with Charming!
Her and Charming hit it off. And Ella starts to feel loved and appreciated for the first time in her life.
Then, Bridget performs her ‘Shuffle of Love’ dance. All the attention is on her! Even Charmings.
Ella feels robbed. She feels jealous. She feels angry that her friend is stealing the one good moment she is finally having to herself.
And so she briefly remembers the spell. And in a moment of error, she either A. Remembers the recipe already and makes the recipe. Or B. Re-Sneaks back into the office to see it. However I’m going with A because the book wouldn’t have opened again for Ella because of her bad intentions.
Whichever way. Bridget eats the baked treat. (I think it was a cupcake. Ella could have lied and said it was from the earlier batch)
And then. IT HAPPENS! Bridget is turned into an ugly terrifying monster. Everyone LAUGHS at her. Everyone makes fun of her
And Bridget, who is confused, understands only ONE person could have done this to her. She looks at someone she was in love with. And just sees Ella and Charming laughing. Laughing at her. Bonding over laughing at HER.
Bridget runs off. In tears. Broken inside. With an equally broken heart.
Maybe if Ella had immediately realized her error and run after her she would have turned out differently. But no. It is proven that Ella stayed at the dance and stayed with Charming. They wouldn’t have had the chance to fall in love if she left.
So Bridget. Spends the rest of the night terrified. Looking like a monster. And being laughed and screamed and made fun of everywhere she goes. And not only that. But her ONLY FRIEND. Her CRUSH. Someone she TRUSTED did this to her
Now THIS! THIS is something can break a person. This is something that can change their views on the world. On humanity itself. She was a kind girl. Was kind to everyone no matter how meanly they treated her. But through it all, Ella was her rock. Her friend. Her secret love. Someone who was good and kind through it all.
But she betrayed her. Tbe one nice person betrayed her. Showing that being nice doesn’t do it. Being nice does not mean good things happen. Being nice doesn’t is worthless if this is what it gets you. Everyone is two faced. And the only thing that’s real. The only thing she CAN feel. Is hurt. And pain. And fear. And so that’s what she swears to become. That’s what she swears to do. Be mean and cruel and heartless so she never has to feel all this pain ever again. So her eventual DAUGHTER never has to feel this again. It’s better to be alone and feared. Then alone and broken.
Ella probably realized the error of her ways the next day. But as she said. It was too late. Bridget was never the same.
This Explains why they had so many odd interactions. The raw feral burning chemistry between them. All the odd phrase. Why The Red Queen would be okay sending her BEST FRIEND to death. Why she would be okay killing her. And taking over auradon. To Her? Cinderella is the one who made her this way.
but also part of her still remembers. Still cares. It’s why she gave her once chance to kneel to her. (And as we’ve noted in the books and movies. She doesn’t give ANYONE else a second chance. She punishes I’m immediately and harshly)
And so! With all of this happening. Theirs gonna be some catylist in recent times. The Red Queen might be nice now. But something will have changed. Ella never went to the dance. (She clearly fell in love with charming somewhere else cause otherwise Chloe would have disappeared) but something happened when she wasn’t at the dance. Something that caused another problem. And THATS gonna be the sequel to this movie. Descendants : Rise of Red part two.
(as we’ve seen the official script for the movie is literally called Descendants : Rise of Red part one. MEANING they wrote it with the purpose of being part one to either a sequel or a threequal)
And THAT! Ladies and Gentleman, is what I think the REAL plot behind Descendants : Rise of Red is! A movie that is not idiotically not thought out at all, but really something so secretly genuis is blows your mind!
Hope you enjoyed!

This is for my Law of Assumption, manifestation girlies–
i know everyone sees this everywhere because its the basis of the entire law, but,
your 4d is your reality. your 3d is just a reflection of it.
think of it this way, for eg there's a mirror and youre standing in front of the mirror. now, there's two versions of yourselves that you can see. one, which is literally you in hard physical form; and the second in the mirror, which is just a reflection. its not even real.
now, your mirror self does not control you physical body. its the other way round. you control your reflection.
your 3d is just the mirror reflection, guys. your 4d is the real shit. thats the real deal, where change takes place. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.
if youre standing in front of the mirror and your reflection lifts its arm, thats not going to make you lift your arm. if you lift your arm, thats when the change occurs in the reflection. you are in control of that.
like, it HAS to change. the reflection in the mirror HAS to change because its LAW. its literal PHYSICS. its SCIENCE you guys, the reflection has to change.
just like that, your 3d also HAS to change if your 4d changes. it has to because that is also LAW. its called the LAW of assumption. why are you looking for logic in it??? so many people are gaining hundreds of dollars OVERNIGHT and you're still doubting something that always existed????? its SCIENCE, you guys its literally psychology, physics, and goddamn neuroscience. IT IS PROVEN THAT THOUGHTS SHAPE YOUR REALITY. there was a legit study conducted on this. why are you still doubting yourself????
this has been the best analogy for me so far because i too had immense difficulty actually believing that it would come true, until i realised, it already has. its already true in my 4d. i have already got that desire in my 4d. how does it even matter what the 3d shows??? my 4d matters. thats what shapes my reality. and you know what the 4d is BLIND. your subconscious is literally BLIND guys. you are already given the best possible circumstances to get whatever you want, why are you still doubting and crying????
whenever i start to waver from my affirmations, i just always think back to the mirror analogy, and that it has actually already happened in the original reality which is the 4d. the 3d does not matter. irrelevant. (im not saying to shut the 3d out its actually quite lovely but dont let that stop u from assuming u have your desires).
you can literally scroll for hours and hours on end, searching and reading through numerous posts on tumblr, videos on YouTube, you can go searching for "signs" from the universe everywhere (do that if it makes you feel good tho) and rant and complain about how its "not happening" and you're just "not good at manifesting". but you know what? no one, literally NO ONE on this entire planet, even the most master manifestors can convince you to change your mindset, or believe in your affirmations, if you dont. you need to take the first step for yourself. you cant have your cake and eat it. even manifesting takes DISCIPLINE and hardwork. not in the hustle culture way normalised by society, but you NEED to train your mind and your thoughts and maintain a mental diet in order to get to the easy part. you have to prep your brain for the easy part to come in.
i promise you your blessings are literally almost here. they are already here. the only reason you have not gotten them is because you are standing between you and your blessings and manifestations. the universe sends the desires the minute you say it, but they cant get to your reality, if you are restricting them from entering your reality.
so literally just decide. affirm. and keep. persisting. that's legit all there is. you can always always try more techniques and methods of course if you want to and you feel good about it. but do not get stressed about it. its supposed to be fun, not draining. BELIEVE for once. if it had to work out by you not believing yourself and not trusting the universe, it would have. but it hasnt. and for that to change you must trust. however unrealistic that may be.
my inbox is open if anyone has any questions always ofc <3

A Common Mistake

{Elijah Mikaelson x Elena Gilbert} Fresh from a breakup with Damon, Elena wants something simple. No complications, no emotions, just a distraction. But then she finds Elijah in her town, and there is nothing simple about wanting him.
♡♡ I've been re-watching tvd and decided to write a little thing about the ship that never was... This is my love letter to Elejah ~ ♡♡
7.6k words - Warnings: Smuttt, unresolved tension that finally snaps, fingering, oral (m+f receiving), vampire!Elena taking what she wants, set after their last encounter in Season 4, jealous Damon, Elijah being slightly protective, my heavy dislike for Damon shining through, post-Delena breakup clarity (Stelena forever, obviously), vampire face slipping out, Elijah thoroughly putting Damon in his place &&& jumpscare warning: Matt Donovan briefly mentioned.
Tumblr media
Elena Gilbert wasn’t drunk. She wasn’t even tipsy. She had nursed a single drink all night, more focused on the atmosphere of the grill then on getting caught up in the buzz of alcohol. The gang had gone out for Matt’s birthday, and while the others were letting loose, Elena found herself restless. Detached.
She was sitting in a corner booth at the grill, between Damon and Stefan. Both of them had been vying for her attention all night, but she had eyes for another.
He wasn’t a part of the group, but seated at the bar with a drink in his hand. The way he was staring into the bottom of his glass, Elena could tell he was lost in thought.
Elijah Mikaelson, once her ally, once her enemy, now just a passing acquaintance. She hadn't seen him since he left Mystic Falls behind and moved to New Orleans.
He looked good, his hair a bit shorter, and his clothes a bit tighter. He was wearing a black button-down and slacks, his sleeves rolled up to his elbows, giving him a relaxed, casual air. A rare form for him to be in.
"Earth to Elena," Damon’s voice cut through her thoughts.
"Yeah?"
"I asked if you want one more drink before we go?" He was gesturing toward her nearly empty glass.
"Yeah, thanks... Actually, I'll get it myself. I need to use the ladies' room anyway," she replied, ignoring the way he had his arm around the back of her seat, like he was expecting to leave with her.
The truth was, she didn’t want another drink, nor did she want to go home with either Salvatore… But she did want to talk to Elijah.
She grabbed her purse and slid out of the booth, heading to the bathroom. She fixed her lipstick and her hair, trying to keep her nerves under control.
There was so much left unsaid between her and the handsome original. So many things that she wanted to ask him, but she wasn't sure if she was ready for the answers.
She was still working through a bit of heartbreak with Damon, she knew just how toxic they had been together. She was afraid to dive into anything that even slightly resembled the relationship she had with him.
She didn’t want anything complicated, just a release, a catharsis. Something to help her truly move on… or at least distract her from her thoughts.
Taking a deep breath, she pushed the bathroom door open, walking out into the dining area of the grill. It was packed with people, but she saw him still at the bar.
It wasn’t until she was nearly standing beside him that she realized how awkward this could be. Maybe he didn’t see her the way she saw him.
Still, she slid onto the barstool beside him, glancing at him from the corner of her eye. Up close, he smelled like bourbon and something distinctly him. Clean, expensive, understated. It was unfair how good he looked. How unbothered. How he just existed in the middle of the chaos of the grill, like none of it touched him.
She opened her mouth, then closed it. Second-guessing herself now felt ridiculous. She had already committed by sitting here.
“Hey, stranger.” she finally managed to get out.
Elijah lifted his head from where he had been staring into his drink. His eyes flicked to her, just for a second, before he turned to face her fully. Surprise flashed across his features, but it was gone as quickly as it came, replaced by something unreadable. A small, polite smile.
“Elena.” The way he said her name sent a ripple down her spine. “Are you enjoying your evening?”
She tried to ignore the way her pulse picked up. “I am. How about you?” She tilted her head slightly, feigning casual interest. “I haven’t seen you since…”
She trailed off. Since what, exactly? Since he left for New Orleans? Since she turned her humanity back on? Since… everything…
Elijah, of course, filled in the blanks for her. “Since we kissed, and then Katherine snapped your neck?” His voice was so smooth, so unbothered, that it took a second for the words to sink in.
Her stomach dropped. “I… um… yeah.”
Heat rose to her cheeks, and she instantly regretted coming over here.
A smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. Not quite mocking, but amused. “A rather unfortunate sequence of events.”
She let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding. “That’s one way to put it.”
A beat of silence passed. The air between them wasn’t awkward, but it was heavy, weighted down with too much unspoken history.
Elijah was watching her. Not in an obvious way, but in a way that made her feel like she was under a microscope. Like he was peeling back her layers, unraveling her thoughts before she even voiced them.
He swirled his drink before setting it down. “And how are you, Elena?”
She blinked. Something about the way he said it. In this low, intent way, like he actually wanted a genuine answer. It nearly threw her off balance.
She had far too much to drink for this.
“I’m… figuring things out,” she stuttered, the safest way to phrase it.
Elijah arched a brow, clearly unimpressed. “That’s rather vague.”
She huffed a quiet laugh, rubbing at the condensation on the bar with the tip of her finger. “Yeah, well, it’s been complicated.”
As if on cue, the complication came striding over, with all the confidence in the world. Damon slid into the stool next to her, and Elijah cracked the smallest of smiles.
She tried not to bristle, but her annoyance must have been clear. Because Damon glanced between them, and then back at her, his eyes narrowed slightly.
"I'm surprised to see you here Elijah, I heard you were thriving down in the Louisiana bayous," Damon said, his tone light and friendly, but Elena could detect a note of bitterness underneath.
"Yes, well, I needed a break. The humidity is a bit oppressive," Elijah's voice was smooth and polite.
"Well, maybe you should be getting back, wouldn't want your swamp friends to worry," Damon was baiting him, and Elena wanted to groan.
But Elijah wasn't one to be baited.
"No, perhaps not," He replied, his tone never shifting. "But the company here is far better,"
His eyes raked over Elena in such an obvious way, as though he was daring Damon to call him out. She was surprised when her face flushed, and her heart sped up. There was something about his intensity that set her on fire.
She watched as the two men stared at each other. Damon looked pissed and Elijah looked as calm as ever.
Damon leaned over, placing a hand on the small of her back. A move that she once would have loved, but now was over-familiar.
"Stop," she said softly, brushing away his hand.
Damon's brows drew together. "What?"
He stared at her, a little confused, and a little hurt. Pretending like they weren't on a serious break, that they weren't in a constant state of turmoil.
"I mean it, stop," She whispered, giving him a pleading look.
Elijah took in the scene with a quiet sort of amusement, but his sharp gaze didn’t miss a thing. The way Elena stiffened under Damon’s touch. The way her shoulders drew in slightly, like she was preparing for a fight she didn’t want to have. The way Damon.. all too predictably… wasn't going to let it go.
"Come on, ‘Lena. Let’s talk. You owe me that, don’t you?" Damon’s voice was lower now, coaxing, as if she was still the girl who would melt under his charm.
Elena’s lips parted, and for a moment, Elijah could see the old patterns creeping back in. The way Damon spoke to her like she was something fragile, like she needed saving. The hesitation. The wariness. The temptation to just give in to whatever Damon wanted because it was easier. He knew the feeling all too well…
"Elena has told you to stop. Twice." Elijah’s voice remained smooth, even, but there was an unmistakable edge now. "And yet, here you are, still pressing the matter. It’s rather embarrassing, don’t you think?"
Damon bristled. "I don’t need a lecture from you about my relationship, buddy."
Elijah smiled, but it didn’t reach his eyes. "And yet, you’re receiving one."
Elena swallowed. She could feel the tension thrumming between them, thick enough to suffocate. Her first instinct was to step in, to smooth things over. But then she stopped herself. Because Elijah wasn’t wrong. Damon wasn’t listening. And honestly? She was tired of fighting this battle alone.
"Elijah’s right," she said softly, shifting slightly closer to Elijah. Damon’s eyes followed the movement like it was some sort of betrayal. "I told you to stop, Damon. And I mean it."
He let out a short, humorless laugh. "So what, you’re suddenly into him?" He gestured at Elijah like he was an offensive piece of furniture. "Come on, Elena. You can’t be serious."
Elijah chuckled, low and quiet. He was still leaning casually against the bar, still outwardly relaxed, but there was something in his posture that had shifted. Like a predator assessing whether his prey was still worth entertaining.
"Why do you assume your rejection must be about me?" he mused, swirling the amber liquid in his glass. "Rather than considering the possibility that Elena simply doesn’t want you here,"
Damon’s smirk vanished.
And for the first time that night, he had nothing to say.
Elijah smiled again, but this time, there was something sharper beneath it, his canines flashing. He turned slightly, just enough to look at Elena properly, and his eyes raked over her once more.
“Shall we order another drink?” he asked, his voice smooth, unbothered. "It seems you've earned one."
Elena hesitated, her mind still reeling from the confrontation. But she found herself nodding. “Yeah. I think I have.”
Damon exhaled sharply, like he wanted to argue, but instead, he stood and stormed off. Elena didn’t watch him leave.
Instead, she focused on Elijah, who gestured for the bartender.
The tension in her shoulders eased as he ordered for both of them. There was something stabilizing about him. No pressure, no expectation. Just quiet presence.
His silence stretched long enough that she glanced up, meeting his gaze. It was softer now, considering. He looked as though he wanted to say something, but wasn't sure how to start.
"Are you alright?" he asked finally.
Elena nodded, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "I'm okay."
“Damon is… not the easiest of men,” Elijah murmured, taking a sip of his drink.
Elena tensed slightly at the mention of Damon. Not because it was a sore subject. She had been expecting it… but because Elijah sounded like he understood her in a way that made her feel exposed.
“No, he’s not,” she admitted quietly. She hesitated before adding, “It wasn’t working. I think, deep down, I knew that for a while. I just… kept holding on.”
Elijah nodded, his history with Katherine wasn’t all that different.
“You deserved better,” he said simply.
The words hit harder than they should have. Maybe because when people said it before, it felt like an empty platitude. But from Elijah, it sounded like a fact. Like there was no argument to be had.
She swallowed. “That’s what everyone keeps telling me.”
“They’re not wrong.”
She didn’t know what to say to that, so she didn’t say anything at all.
Instead, she let herself look at him. Really look at him. He was different from when she first met him. A little more relaxed, a little less like he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Or maybe he just hid it better. Either way, she had a deep urge to get to know this new side.
"So... How's Louisiana? Are you happy there?" She asked, trying to fill the silence.
Elijah hummed, taking a sip of his drink. "In a way, yes, I'm happier than I have been in a long time, I'm with my family, and it feels good to be home,"
"And in another way?" She pressed, she wanted to know more.
He sighed, "Everything is still as dysfunctional as ever. And while I'm grateful to have my siblings... Sometimes I need a break,"
Elena nodded, chuckling softly. "Yeah, I get that,"
Their conversation flowed, deepening into something unexpectedly familiar. The tension from earlier melted into a quieter, more charged atmosphere.
Elijah ordered her another drink, and they began to catch up, talking about nothing and everything. It was as though a crackle of electricity passed between them. They were close, not quite touching, but she could practically feel the heat radiating off his body.
"Would you like to go for a walk with me?" he asked, the corner of his mouth curving upward.
She nodded, sliding off her barstool. He did the same, his hand falling on the small of her back. This time, the touch was welcome.
For a moment, they stood there, like both of them were aware that things had changed. Things had escalated. A simple suggestion of a walk was more loaded than it should be.
She looked over at the table of her friends. Stefan looked like he had swallowed a lemon, Caroline and Bonnie were giggling and whispering behind their hands, and Matt had a confused expression.
She gave them an awkward smile and took Elijah's arm.
He led her out of the grill and across the street towards the town square. It was late and most of the shops had closed hours ago, the streets were empty.
"What were you thinking about when I walked up to the bar?" She asked as they strolled down the sidewalk.
“Oh, it was nothing,”
"Tell me." She nudged him with her shoulder.
"Very well. I was thinking of you." He chuckled, enjoying the blush that rose to her cheeks.
"Me?" She asked quietly.
"I'm afraid so." He teased, looking straight ahead.
"What about me?"
He sighed. “I was trying to understand why, even after all this time, I still can't shake the feelings I have for you.”
"Feelings?" Her heart pounded in her chest.
He chuckled and looked at the ground, shaking his head. "Forgive me. You are young and deserve the right to explore life without another old man pining for you."
"Old man?" She laughed, stopping and turning to face him.
"Relatively speaking." He smirked.
"You don't look a day over 35." She teased.
"How generous." He quipped, looking up at her from under his brow.
The smile slipped from her face as she stared back. His eyes held such an intensity, and he was so close. She could feel the warmth radiating off his body.
"You know... When we kissed that day… when you thought I was Katherine…. I felt something." She said quietly.
He didn't respond, he just watched her, waiting for her to continue.
"And... And that's when I didn’t want to feel anything. But you broke through." Her voice cracked slightly, the pain and guilt from that time of her life still haunted her.
He reached up, gently pushing a strand of hair out of her face. She didn't pull away. Instead, she leaned into his touch.
"Maybe some things are meant to break through." He whispered.
His fingers ghosted over her cheek, hesitant and gentle. She wasn’t moving away. She wasn’t stopping him. When his thumb brushed over her skin, her breath hitched, her entire body locking in place. He was waiting. Giving her the choice to step away.
But she didn’t want to step away. She took the lead, grabbing the front of his shirt and pulling him down, pressing her lips to his.
He let out a soft hum of surprise, sliding his arms around her waist, pulling her closer. One of his hands moved to the back of her neck, guiding the kiss, deepening it.
Her fingers curled into his shirt as he guided her backwards until she hit a tree. He pressed her against the rough bark, his tongue slipping into her mouth, tasting her.
He surprised her with his assertion, it wasn't aggressive or demanding like Damon. Neither was it possessive and needy like Stefan. Elijah was gentle, yet firm, commanding, yet coaxing.
He didn’t overwhelm her, didn’t force her to keep up. Instead, he guided her, his fingers pressing into her waist, his body anchoring her to the tree like he was the only thing that could keep her standing.
She had never been kissed like this.
"Come home with me." He whispered against her lips, his breath tickling her skin.
She nodded, pulling back. Her pupils were blown wide, and her breathing was shallow. He gave her a soft smile and took her hand, pulling her off the tree and leading her down the street.
Neither of them said anything as they walked, but the anticipation was buzzing in the air. As though the very air around them was alive, encouraging them forward.
Tumblr media
It was only a short drive to the home Elijah was occupying. It was located on the edge of town, surrounded by trees. It was quiet, peaceful.
Elena followed Elijah inside his house, shutting the door behind her. Her nerves were on fire, and she was buzzing with anticipation. She had sobered up a little on the drive over, but the rush of adrenaline and the sheer recklessness of this decision, kept her dizzy.
Elijah tossed his keys on the table and turned to face her. A soft smile played at his lips, his eyes dancing with amusement. He looked so at ease, while she felt like her heart was about to hammer out of her chest.
They stood across from each other. The moment stretched like a stand-off, neither of them willing to make the first move.
“Do you want a drink?” he offered, nodding toward the liquor cabinet.
Elena shook her head, swallowing hard. “No, I…uh-no.”
He chuckled, low in his throat. “What do you want then?”
The words hung in the air between them, the tension tightening around them like an invisible thread. Elena searched her brain, trying to think of the best way to answer. But the truth was, she wasn’t entirely sure. She just knew she didn’t want to be alone. Not tonight. She didn’t want to go home and lie awake, staring at the ceiling, thinking about Damon, thinking about Stefan, thinking about the endless cycle of love and loss that had defined her life for too long.
She was still figuring out who she was. A new vampire. A college student. Fresh out of two serious relationships that had left her drained in every way. She had spent years revolving around the Salvatores, making choices that felt inevitable, destined. And she was done with all of that, she needed freedom.
She didn’t want anything complicated. She didn’t want to fall into something that would require more of her. She just wanted to feel good.
Elijah watched her with quiet fascination. His expression was unreadable, but there was something behind his eyes. Something almost nostalgic.
He was thinking of Tatia, of Katherine. The way all three of them made that same expression when they were deep in thought. But he shook the thought away before it could take root. Elena certainly wasn’t Katherine. She wasn’t Tatia, either. He knew that better than most.
So what was he doing? He had told himself he wouldn’t seek her out, wouldn’t take advantage. He had made that mistake before, again and again, and he had no interest in repeating history.
And yet. Here she was.
And here he was, ready and willing to fall right into his old patterns.
His heart ached at how beautiful she looked, how painfully human despite what she had become. She was miles sweeter than Katherine, even Tatia. More real.
“To be clear,” he said, taking a step forward, his voice lower now, more serious. “When I ask you what you want, I mean exactly that. Don’t say what you think I want to hear.”
Elena shifted her weight from foot to foot, her pulse racing even though he wasn’t touching her. She had never had to ask for what she wanted before. Stefan had always just known. Damon had always taken the lead without her input.
But this was different. This was Elijah.
“I know what I don’t want,” she said finally. “I don’t want to be alone. I don't want to think. I don’t want…”
She trailed off, struggling to put it into words. She didn’t want a relationship. Didn’t want romance. Didn’t want the weight of expectations, the intensity of emotions that had defined every relationship in her life up until now. She was still trying to understand what her life was supposed to be now that it was endless.
She didn’t want another love story that would only end in blood and heartbreak.
Elijah studied her for a long moment, his gaze unreadable. Then, as if he had plucked the answer straight from her mind, he said,
“Attachment?”
She blinked, her eyes going wide. Relief flooded through her, but she couldn't help feeling embarrassed, vulnerable at how easily he seemed to see through her.
He chuckled at the expression on her face, the way her cheeks tinged pink. He looked down and adjusted his cufflinks, smiling to himself.
Then he reached out his hand.
Elena glanced down, hesitant. His palm was open, inviting, and when she took it, his grip was strong, sure. His eyes met hers, and for a second, she forgot to breathe. He didn’t speak, but he didn't have to. His intentions were written all over his face. He pulled her toward him, and her whole body lit up like a match.
She let out a soft squeak as he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her flush against him. She barely had time to react before his lips were on hers.
This kiss was different from the one they had shared outside the grill. He seemed even more assured, more confident. A jolt of insecurity ran through her, she wondered if he would find her inadequate. It wasn't like she was some sort of sex goddess, and Elijah had probably been with more women than she could count.
He must have sensed her nervousness because he slowed, taking his time. His hands found hers, bringing them up to his chest, and holding them there, steady, reassuring.
When he pulled away, he searched her face.
"Sweetheart," he whispered, his voice soft, almost tender. "Don't be nervous."
Elena swallowed, her breath hitching as warmth spread through her chest. She wanted to respond, to say something clever, but her lips parted uselessly. Instead, she exhaled shakily, blinking up at him.
A slow, knowing smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
"Good," he murmured, his voice a low hum against her skin. He leaned in and pressed his lips to her neck.
Elena closed her eyes, letting her head fall back. Her nerves vanished as his lips found her jaw, his stubble a teasing scrape against her skin.
Then he stepped back, taking her by the hand and leading her upstairs. The bedroom was large and dimly lit, the bed was massive. The sheets looked expensive, crisp and clean.
She took a tentative step forward, keeping her hand in his, their fingers intertwined.
He smiled softly, letting his thumb trace a lazy circle on her skin. Then he gently tugged her towards him, and she stumbled forward, her free hand flying to his chest, steadying herself. The heat rose in her cheeks, and Elijah enjoyed her surprised expression. His hands moved down her sides to the bottom of her dress, his fingers curling around the hem, slowly lifting it up, letting his knuckles brush over her thighs.
Her hands moved up to his shoulders, her fingers working on the top buttons of his shirt, undoing them one by one. They were both quiet, the air crackling with tension as Elijah watched her slowly unbutton his shirt. She ran her hands over his exposed chest, enjoying the patch of hair and the hard muscle beneath her palms.
He slowly lifted her dress over her head, letting it fall to the floor. She wore nothing but a lacy, white bra and a pair of matching panties. Elijah had the fleeting but completely irrational thought that she was an angel. So beautiful, so delicate, yet somehow, he could already tell, she would burn brighter than any sun.
He pulled off his opened shirt, and she moved onto his belt. He watched her fumble before she managed to remove it, then she slid her hands into his waistband, tugging down his pants. They fell around his ankles, and he stepped out of them. He was still wearing his underwear, but it did little to hide his erection. She didn't want to stare, but she couldn't help herself. He was... well endowed, and she felt her nerves start to rise again.
He didn't give her a chance to overthink, instead, he pulled her to the bed, pressing her down on the soft mattress, his body on top of hers. She ran her hands over his skin, exploring his chest, his arms, the hard planes of his back. Elijah let her explore, her curiosity was sweet, and it stirred something in him that he had not felt in a very long time.
She wrapped her legs around him, her hands weaving through his hair, tugging gently. He let out a low growl and reached behind her back, unhooking her bra, tugging it off, throwing it on the floor.
Elena's nipples were hard, and her breathing was shallow. He took one in his mouth, gently sucking and rolling the other one with his fingers. She let out a small moan, arching her back, pushing her breasts further into his mouth.
Elijah hummed and switched his attention to the other breast. He reached down and slowly pulled off her panties, tossing them somewhere behind him. Smiling as his hands roamed over her, sliding over her thighs, squeezing her ass, hooking her leg around his waist.
She let out a breathy sigh as his hand moved between her legs, teasing her, sliding two fingers inside her.
Her fingers dug into his biceps, her eyes locked with his. He watched the way her vampiric nature took over, the whites of her eyes growing dark, her veins pulsing beneath the surface of her skin.
"You're such a pretty little vampire," he whispered, leaning down and pressing his lips to hers. "Let me see all of you."
She moaned and her fangs slowly appeared, her eyes shifting, turning black and red.
He smirked and nipped at her lip, drawing blood. She gasped, and he slipped his tongue inside her mouth, tasting the metallic sweetness.
He continued to finger her, slow and steady, enjoying the way her walls clenched around him. His thick fingers filling her, stretching her, making filthy wet noises that made her blush.
"You like that, don't you?" he teased, his thumb rubbing her clit in a slow circular motion. "I can feel how wet you are. How your body keeps trying to pull me in deeper."
Her eyes fluttered shut, and her mouth dropped open as she started rocking her hips, trying to grind against his hand. He kept the pressure firm and consistent, the pleasure building.
"’lijah..." She moaned, her voice breaking. "That feels so good..."
Elijah chuckled, his eyes never leaving her face. He added another finger and watched her squirm.
"Look at me," he whispered.
Her eyes flew open, and she stared up at him. The black of her eyes nearly consumed her irises, the veins in her face protruded. It was a beautiful sight, the contrast of her innocence and her dark nature. He was enraptured by it.
"There you go," he murmured, his pace never wavering.
He curled his fingers and she gasped, her body tensing, her walls tightening around his fingers. She was getting close. He leaned down and kissed her and she moaned. Her hands grabbed at his face, deepening the kiss, tasting him. He kept the pressure constant, the pace steady, and her body responded. She went rigid, her muscles clenching as she came.
"Oh,." she cried, her voice trailing off into a strangled moan.
Elijah didn't stop. Instead, he kept his fingers buried inside her, kissing down her body. With his free hand he lifted her thighs, draping her legs over his shoulders, burying his face between her legs.
Elena's eyes went wide, her body trembling, and she tried to scramble backwards, away from his mouth. The sensations overwhelming. But he held her in place, his hands gripping her hips, pulling her closer and she melted under his tongue.
He slowly began to lick and suck at her, his tongue dipping in and out of her. He worked her over until she was a writhing mess beneath him. She had never been so thoroughly eaten out, and the intensity of it was making her dizzy.
His fingers still pumped in and out of her, and he could feel her starting to get close again. She was practically gushing around him, her arousal dripping down his chin
She grabbed at his hair, her body bucking against him, her back arching. Her orgasm came on like a wave, and she rode it out, her toes curling, legs trembling.
When the tremors finally stopped, Elijah sat up, wiping his mouth and smirking down at her. Her face was crimson, her breathing ragged. He couldn't remember ever seeing anything more beautiful. He would be more than happy to spend the entire night with his head buried between her legs, listening to her moan and cry.
Elena was still panting, her brain still foggy. Her legs were shaking, her muscles aching, and she was certain her bones had melted.
Her breathing evened out as he kissed his way back up her body, stopping to nip at her stomach, her breasts, her neck. The thought of him being inside her made her clench with anticipation. But she couldn't possibly let him fuck her before returning the favor. Elena was not a selfish lover in the slightest.
She sat up, putting her hands on his chest, and pushing him backward, guiding him onto his back. He raised an eyebrow but complied, leaning back against the headboard, watching her.
"Can I...?" she started, her eyes shifting down to his lap.
Elijah followed her gaze and chuckled.
"You don't have to, Elena." He said softly, the way her name rolled off his tongue was almost sinful.
"But I want to," she murmured as she leaned over him, her lips brushing his, her fingers moving down his abdomen, dipping into the waistband of his underwear, pulling them down.
He hissed as his erection sprang free, the cool air hitting his hot skin. Elena swallowed, trying to ignore the rush of nervousness, and gently took his cock in her hand.
With Stefan and Damon, she had always enjoyed going down on them, loved the way it made her feel powerful, loved making her partner feel good. She felt a little more confident about this, and was eager to impress Elijah.
Her eyes met his as she leaned forward, taking the tip into her mouth. He inhaled sharply, his fingers tangling in her hair, tugging her closer.
She started to bob her head up and down, her hand following the rhythm of her mouth as she worked him deeper. Elijah groaned, his fingers tightening in her hair as his hips jerked forward, pushing his cock further into her throat.
She gagged, a choked sound escaping before she pulled back, swallowing hard. Elijah exhaled sharply, his grip easing as his thumb brushed over her cheek in silent apology.
"Sorry," he murmured, his voice rougher now. "Got carried away."
She let out a breathless laugh, her tongue darting out to wet her lips.
"It’s fine," she assured him, flashing him a teasing grin. "I like it when you get carried away."
His eyes darkened at that, the muscle in his jaw flexing.
"Do you?" he asked, his voice softer now, more intent.
She didn’t answer. At least not with words.
Instead, she gripped his thigh for balance and took him back into her mouth, this time with even more eagerness, relaxing her throat as she let him use her as much as he pleased. His eyes were fixed on her, watching as her lips slid up and down his length, sucking and licking expertly. He was impressed, she wasn't as timid as he would have expected.
He did his best not to compare her lips to Katherine's, but it was difficult considering they shared a face. Katherine was wild, aggressive, assured. Like she needed to prove a point. With Elena, it was different.
There was a sense of playfulness, of exploration. She was curious, and her enthusiasm was evident. Elena had her own way of doing things, she was so gentle and sweet, her movements careful and deliberate.
He found her to be incredibly sensual, the way her fingers brushed over his skin, the way she looked up at him through her lashes, the way her tongue flicked over the tip of his cock. He was lost in her.
He closed his eyes and groaned, his hands gently tugging on her hair, guiding her rhythm. She hummed in response, her throat vibrating around him.
"Elena," he groaned, her name sounding like a prayer.
His head fell back, and he bit his lip, holding himself together, his muscles tensing.
Elena's hand reached out, taking hold of his thigh. She could feel his muscles straining, his pulse quickening. She knew he was close. She increased her pace, bobbing her head up and down, her nails digging into his skin.
Elijah groaned, and his hands fisted in her hair, his body tense. Then he gasped, his grip tightening as his cum spilled down her throat. She swallowed eagerly, milking every last drop. When he stopped, she released him, wiping her mouth, grinning.
He was breathing heavily, his eyes dark and glassy. She smiled up at him, kissing along his lower stomach, making her way up his body. When she reached his lips, she leaned down and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around her, rolling her underneath him, deepening the kiss.
Her body was so soft and warm, fitting perfectly underneath him. He was going to make sure not to waste this moment, to commit every inch of her skin to memory.
They just kissed for a while, Elijah's fingers tracing patterns on her skin as they became tangled in the sheets, their limbs entwined. There was a charge in the air. A crackling fire. Something neither of them had felt before. Something primal, yet comforting. And neither wanted it to end.
Elena broke the kiss, giggling softly.
"What is it?" he asked, smiling, his thumb tracing over her bottom lip.
"Nothing," she murmured, looking down. "I just didn't think you would be so... sweet."
Elijah arched a brow, smirking.
"And what did you think I would be like?"
She blushed and bit her lip.
"I'm not sure," she said. "I guess I expected you to be a bit... rougher."
He grinned and shook his head, leaning in and kissing her again. His hands moved down her sides to her hips, pulling her against him aggressively, making her gasp.
"I enjoy plenty of things, sweetheart," he whispered against her lips. "But tonight, I just want to savor you."
Elijah wasn't the type to boast. At least not about private matters. But he had been with enough women to know when someone enjoyed his company. And Elena was enjoying herself very much. He could tell by the way her pupils dilated, how her breaths were short, her chest rising and falling faster. He knew just how much of an effect he had on her, and it made him want her even more.
"Is that agreeable?" he asked teasingly, his lips brushing over hers.
Elena nodded and giggled again, her sweet little laugh filling his chest with warmth. He returned her smile, nudging her nose with his, nipping at her bottom lip.
His hands traced over her sides, slow and reverent, as if mapping the shape of her to memory. His lips hovered over hers, close enough that their breaths mingled, the space between them charged with something heavier than desire.
"Are you sure?" he murmured, softer this time. Not teasing, not testing her. Just asking.
Elena swallowed, her fingers curling deeper into his hair, anchoring herself to him. "Yes," she whispered, barely audible, but unwavering.
Elena parted her legs wider, drawing him in, her body welcoming his without a second thought. He exhaled sharply as he eased into her, slow and deliberate, filling her inch by inch. A quiet, breathless gasp slipped from her lips as she stretched around him, and his forehead pressed against hers, eyes fluttering shut for a moment. Like he needed to focus, to feel this.
Like he needed to memorize this.
He rolled his hips experimentally, and they moaned in unison. Soft, drawn-out sounds that melted into the heated space between them. Their eyes met, and for a fleeting second, nothing else existed.
His hands found hers, pinning them to the mattress beside her head, interlacing their fingers. The intimacy of it made her blush, and she had to fight the urge to pull away. It wasn't that she didn't like it, or that it didn't feel right. It was because she didn't mean for this to feel intimate. This was supposed to be casual, meaningless.
But Elena's body betrayed her, her heart pounding in her ears, her moans were high and breathy. Her skin felt hot, and her hands gripped his, her hips bucking up to meet his thrusts.
Elijah's eyes never left her face. His pace was steady, unhurried. He was in no rush, and the prolonged intimacy was making her dizzy. She felt her pleasure slowly mount, the pressure building between her legs.
This was so different from sex with her past partners. With Stefan, it was passionate and intense. It was always an emotional exchange. Their bodies connected as much as their souls.
And with Damon, it was rough, almost animalistic. He was hungry, greedy. His teeth and tongue biting and sucking and licking. A feral storm of lust and need would always erupt between them.
But this was something new entirely. This was sensual, slow, and patient. This was a lover's dance, a delicate give and take. And she was completely overwhelmed.
"Elena," he whispered, the tone of his voice causing her to clench around him.
"Elijah," she gasped.
He leaned down and kissed her deeply, his tongue slipping past her parted lips.
"I know," he said, breaking the kiss. "Me too."
He held her gaze, his expression soft, affectionate. Loving in a way that frightened her.
She felt her climax approaching, and her legs wrapped around him, pulling him deeper. He let her lead, his movements slow, deliberate. His thumb stroking her knuckles, his eyes never leaving her face.
Her body trembled as her orgasm ripped through her. She let out a small, choked gasp, and she could feel her walls spasm around his cock.
He grunted, his grip tightening, his movements growing sloppy. His lips found hers, his tongue tangling with hers. She could feel his orgasm building, and she clung to him, riding out her own.
His pace became uneven, his hips thrusting erratically, his breath coming in short gasps. Then he groaned, burying his face in her neck, his release spilling inside her.
Elena was breathing heavily, her body trembling. She was surprised when he didn't pull out immediately. Instead, he stayed buried inside her, his face still buried in her neck. She could feel him still twitching, and she instinctively wrapped her arms around him.
After a moment, Elijah shifted, his lips capturing hers in a kiss that took her breath away. She could feel his heart hammering in his chest, and he was still holding her hands.
His fingers slowly untangled from hers, and he eased out of her, rolling onto his back next to her. She moved towards him, laying beside him, resting her head on his chest and looking up at him. His hair was disheveled, his eyes half-closed, his breathing heavy. She had never seen him look so unkempt, so relaxed.
Elena watched him for a few moments, taking in the sight of him. Then she let out a laugh, burying her face in his chest, her body shaking with giggles.
"What's so funny?" he asked, running his fingers through her hair.
"Just thinking about how we met," she murmured, lifting her head to meet his gaze.
He smirked. "Ah, yes. I tried to kidnap you. And your boyfriends killed me," he said dryly, heavily emphasizing the word 'boyfriends'.
Elena rolled her eyes and slapped his chest playfully. "Technically, I've killed you too."
"And technically," he countered, arching a brow, "you did so under duress."
"Still," she mused, trailing her fingers over his chest. "I thought you were terrifying. So sophisticated and unreadable. And now I’m…"
She trailed off, suddenly aware of how intimate this was. She was in his bed, draped over him, her body still thrumming with the aftershocks of what they had just done. He was looking at her like he had no intention of moving anytime soon.
Elijah’s expression was still unreadable, but his eyes held something softer now. Something patient.
"And now?" he prompted gently.
Elena swallowed. "N-now I know you better."
She was falling. This was supposed to be a one-time thing. Casual sex, no strings attached. No emotions involved. But, damn. He was just too easy to get lost in.
It wasn’t quite the truth. It wasn’t quite a lie, either. Behind his serious, stoic exterior was this side of him that she couldn't stop thinking about. Underneath the suits, the power plays, and being in the most threatening family on the planet... Was a man with a big heart. A man who loved his family fiercely, who carried the weight of centuries with quiet grace. A man who could be tender, gentle, and funny. A man who kissed like he was savoring every second. Who made her feel…Too much.
She hesitated, then exhaled softly, her fingers tracing idle patterns against his skin. "I think..." she paused, biting her lip. "I think I don't want this night to end."
The confession passed her lips before she could stop it, and her cheeks burned with embarrassment. But Elijah only smiled, his hand cupping her face, his thumb brushing over her cheek.
"Neither do I," he murmured.
Elena’s breath hitched. Her eyes flickered to his lips, then back to his.
"Wasn't this supposed to be a one-time thing?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
He let out a long sigh, his gaze wandering over her body before meeting her eyes.
"New Orleans is my home. And Mystic Falls is yours. But…" He exhaled, his fingers tracing along her jawline. "Perhaps there’s still room for… something in between."
Elena's eyes lit up. "You mean…?"
"I don't know," he admitted. "I'm not exactly the best at casual flings." His cheeks colored slightly, a rare flicker of uncertainty crossing his face. "But maybe we can see how things go. No pressure. No expectations."
She beamed up at him, and he chuckled before kissing her, slow and deep. She melted into him, arms draping around his neck, like she already belonged there.
"I'd like that," she murmured against his lips.
He hummed and pulled her closer, kissing her deeper. She sighed, her hands tangling in his hair.
They spent the rest of the night talking, teasing, kissing. Falling into each other again and again, until sleep finally stole them away.

As the sun rose, Elijah woke to find Elena curled up beside him, her head on his chest, their legs intertwined. For a long moment, he simply watched her, listening to the steady rhythm of her breathing. He had expected her to leave before dawn, to slip away like a fleeting dream, but she was still here. Still tangled up in him.
A slow smile tugged at his lips as he brushed a strand of hair from her face. She looked so peaceful, so at ease.
He could get used to this.
The thought hit him harder than expected, and he forced himself to push it aside. No expectations, he had said. No pressure. But with her still curled up beside him, it felt like a lie.
Elena stirred, her nose scrunching slightly as she let out a soft sigh. Then, her eyes fluttered open, hazy with sleep. She blinked up at him, her lips curving into a lazy smile.
"You're staring," she murmured, her voice soft and quiet.
"Observing," he corrected, his fingers tracing idle patterns along her back.
She hummed, nuzzling closer. "I like waking up like this… This feels… nice."
"Nice?" he repeated, amused.
"Yeah," she stretched against him, her body molding to his. "No drama, no chaos. Just… this."
Elijah exhaled slowly, he understood exactly what she meant.
"And how long," he mused, "do you suppose this peace will last?"
Elena smirked, tilting her chin up to kiss him. "I don’t know. But I’m not thinking about that right now."
He let out a low hum of agreement, pulling her closer. He told himself he should follow her lead. Stay in the present, keep things simple.
No expectations, no pressure.
But as she melted against him, her warmth sinking into his skin, Elijah already knew.
This was never going to be just one night.
