used to be partners w grovyle when they were younger(like. teenagers) until dialga showed him that they would all disappear if the future was changed. he then switched sides.

has never been fond of manny

when he found out who manny was and that as a treecko she still possessed the dimensional scream and could potentially blow his cover, he avoided her. or at least touching her in any way

instead he bonded pretty much solely w duskull out of the two who was very quick to trust him bc he saw him as a role model/potential father figure/someone who understood. this put a strain on duskull and manny's partnership(when manny was just getting into working w him during and after the expedition...)

the first pokemon that duskull confided his feelings about his death to...

when the betrayal happened, he considered leaving duskull behind but ultimately decided it would be safer to get rid of him too...

this was also the first time he made physical contact w manny since she became a treecko, the prolonged physical contact from him dragging her into the time portal caused. quite an unpleasant dimensional scream. lol.
