Got the idea from Extella Link (fantastic game, probably in my top 5 Musous) and how they play in that. In addition to a slight attack buff, it further makes Astolfo a support niche filler with a DOOT induced mental debuff, starting at 50% but high scaling with 100% at rank 10. They’re a clear niche filler already despite their farming capability. They have a piercing aoe np, a randomized star gen and self crit/gather buffing, and a hard stun. Now make it so they’re one of the like, 5 servants who can use non-charm mental debuffs with an AOE Confusion/Fear! (Yes i know what Agartha says about “oh i cant use it with the Chaldea summoning it takes too much magic energy” but who gives a crap about Agartha it should all be retconned to oblivion.)

Chance to inflict Stun on a single enemy (1 turn) + Apply Target Focus to self (1 turn) and very low chance to reduce all enemies’s NP gauge by 1 charge.

FLAVOR WISE: the name is French for “Debauchee of the Orlando Furioso” referring to the specific myth Fate’s take on Astolfo is largely influenced by. While the actual Astolfo has no account of crossdressing (rather he is described as the most effeminate of the paladins), both the original and Fate’s fall in line with the tale of Astolfo causing havoc in their…revelry, shall we say, making themselves something of a scapegrace. GAMEPLAY WISE: As above with La Black Luna, this is an idea to capitalize on their niche potential, in this case with a unique multipurpose skill that synergies with their NP evade charges. This means that even in that small 10% chance of failing to stun at level 10, they could have a way of absorbing hits even without a defense buff effect on the taunt. Depending on the exact situation though a no-defense-buff taunt could have plenty of particular uses. The charge reduction can be seen as something of a flavorful bonus/emergency gamble rather than something to rely on, being probably no higher than 40% at rank 10 or simply a flat 20-33%.
