An open window in your bedroom letting in the crisp musky humidity of the late night sky billow into the apartment, mixed with the comforting warmth of your bedsheets and the soft ambiance of the city life below. It was a relatively quiet night, not to mention your notifications. Not a single text or mention in hours, leaving you purely alone with you and yourself.

You take a deep breath and relax against your array of pillows and blankets, scrolling through your instagram feed as you start to feel your eyeslids grow heavier and heavier.

Then, there was a post that caught your eye, causing you to pause in your mindless scrolling with your thumb hovering over screen.

"What?" You thought to yourself as you suddenly felt all remnants of your exhaustion disappeared in an instant. You sat up a bit in your bed, propping yourself up on one elbow and squinted your eyes against the brightness of your phone as you tapped on the post, realizing it was only made an hour ago.

Upon further inspection, you found something you didn't notice at first glance. There was a girl in the picture you didn't recognize. Surely they would have told you if they were bringing in new members, right?

You simply sat there in your own silence for a second, letting your mind whirl with all sorts of unanswered questions and being left to overthink in your own head. You were planning on leaving eventually, but would this really be a way to go out? By replacement? It at least gave you even more of a reason to get out of there, but you couldn't deny the small tightness that grew in your chest and the sudden dryness in your mouth as a small ball formed in your throat.

You let out an involuntarily heavy inhale as you swiped onto The Scouts group chat, typing out a short and quick declaration of departure before staring at the message for a moment, your phone gripped tightly in your slightly trembling hand, body overflowing with emotions.

"its been fun, but i think its about time i leave the band. i hope the gig went well, and tell sadie i said hi.

You finally tore your eyes away from your phone screen, not even realizing the tears that were threatening to leave your eyes as your tear-blurred vision drifted over to your nightstand where the 141 business card sat, the familiar jagged fonts and bold lettering reminding you of the night at the bar when you met the manager of the band, some man named John Price. You decided to simply sit on it for the night, letting yourself sleep on it. Nobody is ever in the right headspace to be making decisions when they're upset, are they?

And just like that, you placed your phone gently onto your bedside table, slowly lowering yourself into bed and pulling your blankets over your shoulder, the strong pang of betrayal purging any sense of logicality in your mind in the moment that you're simply hoping will pass in the morning.

Every now and again I have the overwhelming urge to archive Taka lore, and, honestly? Might do that before the end of the year.

Like, idk how many people know of the comics and stuff, but there's so much going on with this one character who canonically has no backstory. He's the ONLY ONE without a backstory and it INFURIATES MEEEEEEE

And ik I've said this before, but I'll say it again: TAKA'S ALSO THE ONLY CHARACTER IN THE ENTIRETY OF DANGANRONPA AS A FRANCHISE TO HAVE AN OFFICIAL MASTERMIND OUTFIT WITHOUT EVER BEING THE MASTERMIND!!!!

(At least to my knowledge. No other character has had a MM! outfit published in an official source directly tied to Spike that I've been able to find.)

sorry but if you actually think Cancel Culture ™ is a thing then you're kinda a dumb fuck. Cancel culture isn't real, holding people accountable for their actions is a thing, but this whole narrative around Canceling that's evolved over the past few years isn't real. It's never been an actual thing. Its just a fear mongering tactic to further vilify the groups who were being harmed in the first place and victimize the person who did something wrong.

Your fav being called out for playing an antisemitic video game that directly gives profits to a hugely influential TERF, who's said openly she sees getting profits / royalty cheques from her franchise as endorsements for her bigotry, is not "cancel culture". It's called the consequences for your actions.

You have every right to do and play whatever the fuck you want, but that goes both ways. If you go out of your way to build up and financially support these people who're openly advocating to take away trans people's rights, then you get to deal with people not trusting you because of it. You get to deal with trans and Jewish folks not feeling safe around you, not wanting to be around you or not wanting to talk to you. Because you have shown that you care more about nostalgia and temporary personal emotional gratification over the wellbeing and safety of those communities in the real world.

People have explained why supporting HL is wrong, people have explained why it's harmful, people have explained in detail the issues with this situation. You. Just. Don't. Care. You don't listen, or read, because in the end, you can't be bothered enough to put in the effort of having 1 moment of critical thinking.

It's not that folks don't have arguments or evidence, it's that it clearly does not matter to you. It's that the value of an antisemitic game full of one horrific thing after another is worth more to you than the real, living breathing people who are going to be, and have been, affected by this.

You come across as a bad person. Not because some person on Twitter determined you must be, but because your actions speak far louder. And they're screaming red flags.

Finished smaragdgrün today and i thought i remembered how much the end pissed me off but hoo boy actually reading it made me so much angrier!! Might have to write kerstin gier a very strongly worded letter where i can finally get out all the annoyance that has been accumulating inside me since 2011

I dont care how rushed the ending feels, i dont care about the not super exciting reveal of the count or even that gideon suddenly becomes immortal just to give the audience a twist ending surprise (literally forgot about both of these plot points lol) but the ending of james' story pisses me off so much its ridiculous tbh!

Like you cannot spend three entire books explaining again and again (and again! Really too much actually) how the time travel rules of this universe work and then just completely break them just to give a (not even very likeable) side-character a sappy good ending which disregards everything we have been reading for however many pages and just expect me to accept that??? I will never get over this i will die on this hill (from old age probably... ive never met anyone who would care to fight me on this)

The story really does not need to give james a happy ending but more importantly: if he didnt die and become a ghost he would have never met gwen and therfore she could not have given him the vaccine to save his life so none of this makes any sense and completely breaks the time continuum!!!

If anyone of you ever writes a time travel book please for the love of fuck get an editor who has a single brain cell and can tell you when you fuck up your own logic!!!! Or at least give it to me to read!! How did this get published good god!

Bianca doesn't clean herself often.

It was already hard— She was small, too small to use her home's amenities that were clearly meant for a time long gone, having to ask other people for help. It's frankly embarrassing, really. Sharing a space with near strangers is bad enough, but then they'd look at her with pity or offer to help more, and she'd shut the door in their faces, forcing out a screechy "Sorry!" as soon as her actions registered to her head.

And then she'd actually get to work.

Her hands shake when she does, violent reminders of what she isn't. Soap suds can only hide so much.

Then she rinses off, shakes off the water clinging to her and puffs up. It's still a foreign feeling after all these years. She'd hop up to the sink to see if she missed anything, avoiding looking back at her own eyes.

But sometimes she pauses, catches sight of her reflection and winces.

It's not right. It never is. The face that stares back isn't her own. Pale gray, almost like a ghost. She scratches and scratches at it until her claws nails are dull and the mirror she stands in front of is unusable.

She pays for a replacement whenever she ruins it. There are others in this den house lab place who use the mirror— It's only right that she fixes things.

After some time, she just stops.

It's just too much.

ashiro mina as a character is so interesting to me because she’s such a Big Thing in the kn8 universe and everyone respects her and she’s well known for having this niche skill/speciality nobody else can replicate but she’s also sooooo distant. and even when it comes to official merch/art sometimes she doesn’t appear (no volume cover, not included in that game collab, etc) and it’s just like.. when you compare her to hoshina for example who is rightfully a very popular character because of how much we see of him in the manga it’s just. IDK WHAT I WANNA SAY i’m not bitter (yes i am) that she doesn’t get as Much as she could’ve because i know it’s purposefully done (dragging her story out, showing her pov only 100 chapters later) but ARGHHHH ashiro mina i want to know more about you so bad.
