Can you make Vash beg to have his face sat on. Mans dream is to be a seat and no one can tell me other wise. He’s been so busy lately and feels like it’s been so long since he’s touched you properly… he’s so cute when he’s whiny istg he’s my weakness 😭
ෆ ִ ׁ sub vash stampede
cw: face sit, breathe play, gender neutral (maybe more of female), whinny vash, needy boy
vash has this kink where he wants you to sit on his face and smother him with your beautiful ass, but he'd definitely be too embarrassed to ask you to do that. he's so shy and so sweet that maybe you'd think he's a perverted weirdo.
but he can't help it, it's just the thought of you on top of him, riding his face and him licking and sucking you, barely able to breathe properly, makes him wet his underwear. and it's something that's happening to him right now. he has to slyly place his hand on his aching erection.
-nnmg ugh…- a whimper escapes from the blond's mouth just by pressing his palm on his sex.
you looked at him with a raised eyebrow, the blue-eyed one blushed to the core and started to babble.
-vash, honey… tell me what you need," you said kneeling down in front of him, taking his hands, noticing his bulge. smile to yourself.
the blond put on an expression of astonishment and terror, opened his mouth and laughed nervously. he looked damn adorable. his eyes were a little watery, his nose and his chubby cheeks were red as a tomato. -I love you… uh, I love you name.
you let out a little smile and licked your lips and then moderated them, god it was so cute. you moved closer and left a slow and quick kiss on his juicy pink lips that were now trembling.
-i know, now tell me vash, what do you need from me," you whispered into his face, both breaths mingling and the breaths becoming more erratic.
vash closed his eyes and placed his head on your chest as if giving up, squeezed your hands and murmured. -name, I need you to sit on my face, I'm going to die if you don't," he mentioned desperately so quickly and in such a rushed way that you almost didn't understand him.
the blond hid more in you as if what he had just said hadn't made you hotter than you already were. there was silence for a second and then you let out a giggle.
vash stood up from you and looked at you with concern. -don't… don't make fun of me, name," he whimpered hurt.
before he could say anything else or run away from you, you grabbed vash by the shoulders and laid him down on the bed. he opened his eyes in surprise while you were getting rid of your pants and underwear. you did the same with him, unbuttoned his pants and pulled them down watching his erection get free. you pulled down his underwear too and grabbed him by his member.
-ahg! wait… name.- vash sat on the bed and almost came with just a couple of massages to his cock. it was already red and veiny and leaking pre-siminal fluid from just asking you to sit on his face.
-i don't think your friend thinks the same, look how you are… ask me again, pretty boy, ask me…".
vash swallowed loudly trying to concentrate, the way you were touching him, he needed it for a long time. his eyes couldn't stay still, he was looking at you, he was looking at how his cock was being touched. it was too much.
-name, name… aaahg! please, sit on my face, i… i need it," he said in whimpers and with a cute pout in his mouth.
without disturbing him any more you left his cock and guided him to lie down again. you caressed his face. -my seat is so nice, too bad it will soon be all ruined.-
-my god… you're going to kill me n-… without letting him finish you mounted on his face. feeling his breath on your sex, his nose pressed so deliciously that you couldn't help letting out a stifled moan.
you slowly rocked on top of him, now feeling his tongue timidly probing your skin, you jumped when vash grabbed you tightly by your ass, his metal hand felt so cold on your skin that you couldn't help but let it out.
-mhmmh, nhgh!- you only heard the muffled moans of your beloved boy. while you held on to the bed rails to be able to move and not fall off. it was so exquisite, vash was doing it so well. in an unexpected movement you felt his nose much closer to you and the friction of both was so good that you started to fuck his face without mercy.
-vash, vash, vash… -you felt so wildly ecstatic.
you could feel the wetness of your flow on the blond's face. he hadn't stopped kissing and licking you for a single second since you sat on top of him, his strong arms kept you pressed down on him with no escape. -let me see you, love.
when you lowered yourself a little and saw the mess that was vash, you felt yourself coming right there. his pupils dilated, his nose and cheeks still burning but full of your streams all over.
fuck, his expression, a silly little grin on his face, he was licking his lips every second and his gaze was lost but full of excitement on you. he was so stupid. god, how much you wanted to fuck him right now.
-i love you name… so much… agh! so much…" he said dumbly.
when suddenly you looked down a little embarrassed and saw that vash had already cum without even touching himself. fuck.
-what a dirty boy, vash stampede.

Do you have any NSFW head cannons for vash? Or maybe what Vash would be like if he were to fall in love? (I am so down bad for him)
A/N: Omg thank you for being patient with how long I took with this and thank you so much for the ask! Vash is just so...so...*screams into pillow* I love him
Contains: Vash being a loveable dork, nsfw headcanons, written with afab reader in mind but nothing is ever explicitly said,
Vash Being in Love and NSFW Headcanons (below the cut!)
Depending on which Vash we are talking about (tristamp or 98) will determine how he acts with you when he’s in love but not willing to admit it.
Vash from the 98 anime is a flirt. He’s having fun without getting attached and loves to tease a bit, acting goofy to get your attention. He catches himself one day with weight behind his words as he compliments you…he also catches himself blushing when you decide to flirt back
Tristamp Vash is a bit softer, more careful. He keeps you at a distance emotionally but is still so kind and attentive. Finds himself growing protective of you under one day you smile at him after saving you and he’s just gone.
Either way he refuses to admit it for a LONG time. People around him get hurt. He’s focused on his brother. There’s just no time for romance.
But I think that’s what finally gets him, the fact that time with you is limited. It takes you a while to convince him that it’s okay to be selfish, to want love, that he deserves it.
His biggest love languages are words of affirmation and quality time...probably followed closely by physical touch.
Vash is always there to lift you up with his words, sing your praise, give you a shoulder to cry on, be a punching bag for your feelings. Whatever you need, Vash is there to provide it.
Loves to hold your hand while traveling
If you ever need his attention, just say his name sweetly, he’ll be at your side in seconds
Might teach you how to shoot if you ask nicely, although he makes you promise not to kill anyone. It brings him a bit of comfort to know you can defend yourself
You catch him staring at you all the time with literal hearts in his eyes. The first few times he gets a bit embarrassed, but after a while will shamelessly admit it
NSFW:
I feel that Vash is a switch but heavily sub leaning. Loves if you're the one calling most of the shots but has no problem flipping the script on you. Actually prefers it some nights where you either haven't seen each other in a while or he's had one too many drinks.
Pathetic, whiny, whimpering, crying, literally doing the most at every given moment.
You'll be able to pull some of those growls and deeper moans out of him though if he's feeling particularly possessive
Everything with him is so soft and sensual, trailing kisses up and down each other's bodies, whispering praises and words of devotion that only the two of you could hear
LOVES when you tug on his hair
Calls you angel, mayfly, pretty girl/boy
Loves any position where he can see your face, and so that he has the opportunity to kiss you at anytime, stealing the breath from your lips as you move your body against his.
He'll curl his body into you when he's close, panting heavily and not able to hold back his high-pitched moans. It's a pretty sight to see, his face flushed red along with his ears, eye shut and furrowed brows.
I love the idea that Vash's wings would sprout any time he is feeling extremely emotional. So of course when you're intimate there is a burst of feathers, the soft appendages acting on their own to embrace you protectively, pulling you all the more closer to him.
Boy's got hella stamina and will opt for multiple rounds. You'll have to be the one to tap out or else he literally will. not. stop. He'll let you fall asleep in his arms if you get too tired. Otherwise his favorite is when he falls asleep laying on your bare chest, your hands running through his hair.

If you still accept asks please elaborate on sub wolfwood 🙏 and if you want on that soft free use post but with vash and wolfwood 👀 you have so many great ideas!
anon i have been saving this until after i finished my lil sewing project and answered emails....i would love to elaborate on sub wolfwood and free use with vash and woflwood made me feel CRAAZYYYYYY. reading that i did psychic damage. also thank you!!! i am just blabbing away on this lil blog
cw: subbing, pet play mentioned, caning mentioned, slapping mentioned
okay okay. sub woflwood.
i just see wolfwood as being pretty experienced sexually? he's tried a lot. had his fair share of lovers. i think he's been a dom and a sub at various points. and overall he likes being a service dom or sub. he likes to please or if not please...be used? i think depending on your own experience does he get a lil bratty/mouthy....if you're more experienced, he likes to rile you up. challenges you a little. but i can see if you're a lil less experienced in domming, he may go easier for a bit, until you really find your confidence. and then he gets sorta mouthy. kinda a rope bunny as a sub lol. he wants to be tied up. likes to be roughed up a bit when he is being bratty. pulling his hair...a slap here and there...scratching...maybe a light caning...i don't think he's a huge masochist but i do think he can take a fair amount of pain which can make punishments interesting.
i also do think....maybe unknown to him at first....he would sorta like a touch of pet play. you call him a mutt or talk to him like a dog and he's sorta shocked when he gets so hard so fast. you could maybe escalate to a collar....leashes.....perhaps a muzzle. for some reason i always see that one as something he discovers with a reader lol or its a newer one for him lol
if i had infinite time and energy i would write the long exploratory character study d/s fic of my dreams with him. but alas.
okay now free use with vash and wolfwood 😵💫
i am. unwell. thinking about like maybe being close friends with them. and maybe you and wolfwood sometimes sleep together to relieve some stress.....mutual using. sometimes you use him more, sometimes he uses you more.
but wolfwood sees how vash looks at you...you know? i mean, who wouldn't look at you like that?
it's just that wolfwood...trusts vash.
and well. he knows you adore vash, too...and...you'd wanna help him out a little, wouldn't you? vash is so....touch starved? maybe a lil lonely in this way. so he sorta offers you up to vash? and vash at first is unsure and reluctant but. he can't really help himself when it comes to you.
and suddenly vash is babbling about how you feel so good and you're so good for him as wolfwood watches him use you. vash is inhuman...he has a lot of stamina...and you thought wolfwood had a lot....but vash is keyed up. he's pent up.
(wolfwood makes sure vash isn't too rough with you. tells him to ease up if he is....and vash really is a sweetheart beneath all the pent up lust. he does really adore you. maybe a little too much?)
and then it sorta becomes this thing? whenever one of you needs to let off some steam. i think vash would really like being used too.....of course he wants to be helpful smh.
and sometimes wolfwood just tells you to sit pretty and take it while the two of them do as they please. they're never mean about it...in fact, they're quite loving. shower you in praise. they always take care of you—clean you up after. feed you. bathe you.
(you sorta gotta be careful with them though.....they wouldn't be opposed to keeping you, always naked, in bed and waiting for them. vash especially. he feels so bad about it but....well. you'd certainly be safe in his bed all day, wouldn't you? why can't you let them take care of everything?)
its free use but they adore you.....you know

Explaining Anime Badly✨ pt 7
DON'T BE FOOLED by any visuals from this series. To explain it badly... blue haired Tohru Honda is put into exceedingly questionable situations on her quest to find a Legendary Ace. Too bad that Ace turns out to be a Vash the Stampede-esque (Trigun era) character with a somehow more devastating back story??? Directions were unclear so everyone ends up getting groped by disembodied hands.
Coming to a rec list soon because, for all it's blustery fan service, this series was a trip from the start and down to the very last minute. Literally goes from gratuitously pervy (it's an ecchi) to devastatingly reflective to silly with tongue in cheek animation at breakneck speeds. I legitimately don't even know what sub-genre to call it. Definitely a "Haha That Ends in Tears" (ahem, Assassination Classroom). Now I have to read the manga because I need to know what happens next.

Favorite color: warm bright yellow, mustard yellow & old gold, and just yellow in general. its a good colour. it makes me happy
Currently reading: idk, probably star trek fanfic my friend @rubbertplant was writing to give my opinion on it. i often read through my own stuff too lol, like whoah i wrote that??? ADHD has taken everything from me including my capability to read though, for real. ive been thinking of trying to listen to some audiobooks recently though, this cannot continue... its just that i also have no ears disease so idk how well that would go. determined to try though
Last song you listened to: havent been listening to music so much bc ive been playing videos instead but my last.fm has all my spotify listens so itll stay up to date on whatever i listened to last. currently seems to be “please play-bite” by pinocchioP. i often just let spotify play me whatever it recommends anyhow so theres variance. and i only started this account like a few months ago max so its not really a full picture of my music-listening
Last movie (in theaters): its not really a movie, but if it counts, the first ginga nagareboshi gin stageplay (recorded and released in finland in theaters with subs)
ginga was always huge in finland for some reason. idk. the anime is so violent though that i got really afraid of bears for some reason. theres so much blood... i never read the manga either i just knew of the anime and partook in my share of wolf roleplays (dogs were uncool! so i didnt do dog roleplays. iirc that really was my reason).
heres some funny wolves from my wolf rp days
2010. one of the first things i coloured digitally... i painstakingly cleaned the scanned pencil lineart with a mouse
2011. i had gotten my first drawing tablet as a birthday/xmas gift and practiced a ton around this time (more than just wolves lol)
Last series I watched: trigun stampede. even changed my phone bg into vash... but millions knives is probably my favourite. he just does everything wrong and makes his life worse. and everyone elses life too bc he sucks. but hes multifaceted so hes also my meow meow and whatever. i hope a ford explorer drives over him
if it counts though, ive seen some star trek TOS episodes and movies because my friends have been watching them. im not super into it but its always fun to hang. i also dont watch a lot of stuff. i dont even know what i do. guy who doesnt read or watch things but listens to jerma videos on youtube without actually looking at them while i “draw” and “write”
Craving: food honestly. i should cook something lmfao. i also want soda so bad but i dont have any. id make some tea but its disgustingly warm in my house so i only want cool drinks. could kill for a nice milkshake or a smoothie rn i think
Tea or coffee: tea... im the only finnish person who doesnt drink coffee for real. also got really into loose leaf tea bc i befriended a chinese lady who is really into tea and has a tea shop in the city near where i live
Currently working on: drawing this and trying to think how i want to do it. somehow want to incorporate flat colours and maybe shade his body naturally, and make the blood look realistic instead of flat colours... hmm not sure yet what i want to do
other than that im trying to proofread the chapter of my ryanyuri fanfic i already published because theres a lot of typos and strange sentences in there but its been a chore bc my body breaks down when it gets too warm smfh... not looking forward to when my apt goes over 30 degrees celsius it is unlivable. im also trying to complete a “lookbook” of my tnb sims. but i always start huge projects that take three million years to complete and im really slow lmfao
Tag people you’d like to get to know better: i could just ask these questions from everyone i talk on discord with. fuck my friends i know irl or otherwise, only asking people who r my friends through tumblr. no need to do this though. also this isnt probably meant to be answered so long-windedly... thats just me. i cant answer with one word i gotta write an essay. heres three tags though @basslinegrave @vita-divata
(record scratch before 3rd tag) and @rubbertplant bc they were streaming a game in discord when i started typing this and i was like hey wanna do it and they were like yeah
i expect replies on my desk by 5pm TOMORROW!!!!get to work!!!! no i jest, do it or dont, i dont mind either way, just if you feel like doing this. if you see this and want to do it feel free to consider yourself tagged. godspeed

tristamp 12!
-might as well perish now ngl!!! the wait for tristar continues to kill me!!!
-incredible sibling fight! they bite! they fly! they’re going to the moon!
-knives disintegrating but still hoping for a paradise where vash will be safe… i know he’s coming back, revived from the death, somehow, but ohhhh god.
-i wish vash hummed the piano song knives played throughout the show tbh? (maybe he did and i missed it) but at least the piano melody was constant.
-meryl being saved by wolfwood, and vash sighing in relief. mashwood real.
-zazie dropping by to chat with wolfwood, then meryl in the two years later epilogue. i do enjoy his lil talks.
-speaking of, i wonder if tristar will continue immediately (or close to it) bc the epilogue is set two years later. or will another two years pass?
-so much unresolved. the gung ho guns gang. what happened to conrad. livio’s collected body. whether wolfwood needs to be in the story now—if he can set aside his cross? will he come back for razlo/livio? will chapel have a part to play?
-i want to know if eriks is just faking amnesia or he really has it. (altho him playing the duet melody… he’s trying to remember how it goes…) if he can talk…? lina!!!! i want to see sheryl too!
-i’m kinda hoping the earth ships—chronica!!!— get a larger part to play!!! while there’s just about enough (to make it coherent and fit in with themes of cohabitation in trimax), i do wonder if tristar can expand upon it.
-i want more episodes so bad for tristar. like as a contrast to tristamp, where it’s rushing through things in a chaotic way. if tristar gets to be. like. double the length, and slower, that would be neat, i think.
-i was right to rate it 10/10 the first time around. i still feel that way! it remains so enjoyable to watch!
-i still prefer the sub, and i did come around on wolfwood’s voice, but yeah, not exactly a surprise.

Nope I did not :d
Let me fix it here UwU
Please correct me if I'm wrong,
I only know Silesian from speaking it at home and within my surroundings when growing up, so I don't know if anything I wrote below is correct within more wide learning circles or academic materials, I'm just a girl [gender neutral] who "gŏdŏ pō naszymu".
So I looked into how to translate needle-noggin or brush as part of translating a quote from Wolfwood on the chat and I did not do any type of the extended uber-correct translation or essay worth research on the topic, this is your disclaimer that anything below can be as as bad as it can get. Apologies in advance.
When trying to translate it I thought about few options:
just translating the words one for one if it was possible or with words that had the closest match for needed words, which gave us possible translations like:
Byszta/Byszto (szczota/szczotka/brush) [sounds a lot similar to besztać - to scold] - literal translation of the polish sub given to me by @zerosforks, it's pretty simple but in my opinion it lacked some energy in it when I tried it in the sentences, it's not bad but could be better
Jegła/jegło (needle/igła) - it more of the part of the whole set for the needle-noggin, the word itself have feminine form but in the context of Wolfwood using it on Vash I'm using here the -O ending to indicate it being second person calling (as in calling someone 'ty igło' / 'you needle' )
So I did not find any good matches/translations for noggin for neither silesian nor polish (not that I tried that hard and I'm not denying existence of the translation) so I taken second best thing and looked at the meaning of the word and it's synonim and best i could come up with is: wbijŏ or more wbijŏk which translates to more or less person who stabs/sticks in (-ŏk ending to indicate person who performs action), which together with previous word gives us jegło-wbijŏk (a very literal take on the needle noggin), I don't really like this one as it doesn't really roll that well when speaking and sounds very awkward.
Looking at what the the nicknames are poking at and taking it from here:
So for the brush/szczota/szczotka it is poking at the way Vash's hair look like, so few of the ideas I got all included some variation of the descriptor/item+word for head and trying to say them out loud for the sake of "do they even sound okay?" that's how I variations like: bysztogowy, bysztołbie, bysztołeb all meaning brush head (with łeb specifically being less nice way to say head) to and other one that I thought of is: bysztokudły (brush haired person masculine)
For the needle-noggin I feel like it's more poking fun at the lanky build, needle legs etc. So ones I thought about for this was: jegłogiry (needle legged, and yes I know giry is not uniquely silesian, but it worked), dugi (literally means long)
Mash of the two which made for: jegłołbie (my favorite for the way it sounds when speaking, it's just works in the sentences, can be shorten to either jegło or łbie (with adding tempy which means stupid)
And the simplest would be having wolfwood call Vash per ty ciulu, paciulŏku, etc (it's most literal meaning is dick, but it's mostly used as something like fool/ dummy/ blockhead etc)
There are probably a lot more better approaches for this that what I did and probably a lot more correct approaches so sorry once again for butchering the silesian.
I think? I remember a post about Vash's nicknames in different languages bit maybe i imagined it
hm. I remember chatting with my friend about how wolfwood could be calling vash if wolfwood spoke silesian in polish translation but idk if she posted anything about it. also polish 98 sub I watched used "Szczotko" (I think). but yea. I dont recall anything about a dub but who knows.
If you find that post feel free to send it my way. am curious.

My Review of Trigun
How did I get into this anime? Let’s just say this was one of those animes that used to air on Saturday nights back in the day that I would every now and then come across while waiting for either Full Metal Alchemist, InuYasha, or Cowboy Bebop to air. But I never did watch a full episode or know a damn thing about this anime. So I’m just jumping into this anime blindfolded. All I know is that this was Johnny Yong Bosch’s first anime role.
Who is Vash the Stampede?
A frequent question that comes up throughout the series! Rumor has it that he wears a long, red trench coat and sports a Mohawk hairstyle. Some say he’s a notorious lecher. Many recount him shooting up their villages to a pile of rubble just for the heck of it. He has quite the reputation as he has a $$60,000,000,000 bounty on his head and is often known as the “Humanoid Typhoon”.
In reality, Vash the Stampede is…a bit of a dingus. He just happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and things kinda get out of hand. But that doesn’t stop two insurance agents (Milly Thompson and Meryl Stryfe) from following him around to confirm Vash’s identity and keep his actions to a minimum. At first, it’s hard to tell if he’s a stupid-genius or just flighty and gets lucky one too many times. But when shit goes down, don’t be surprised when you see this doofus get serious.
BETWEEN THE SUB AND THE DUB: Okay, what sad company did this use to belong to, Geneon, Bandai, or ADV Films? Oh, Geneon! That means good voice actors from L.A. put in really shitty roles. On the contrary, this was a fairly decent English dub. And on a severely positive note, this was indeed Johnny Yong Bosch’s very first anime role (and a main role at that). This was like fresh off his time as a Power Ranger! And I gotta give props for giving this guy a chance at voice acting. This role was the launching point to what has been a very successful career for Bosch. As for the sub, let’s just say I’m happy any time I get to hear Hiromi Tsuru in something besides Dragon Ball. Here’s what you might recognize these folks from.
JAPANESE CAST: *Vash is played by Masaya Onosaka (known for Bill on Pokemon, Isaac on Baccano, Jadeite on Sailor Moon, Kero on Cardcaptor Sakura, Leeron on Gurren Lagann, France on Hetalia, and Spandam on One Piece)
*Meryl is played by Hiromi Tsuru (known for Bulma on DBZ, Ukyo on Ranma ½, Yubel on YGO GX, and Mika on Gravitation) [R.I.P.]
*Milly is played by Satsuki Yukino (known for Kagome on InuYasha, Mion/Shion on Higurashi, Tae on Gintama, Amakata on Free!, Hiiragi on Natsume Yuujinchou, Mutsumi on Love Hina, and Yoruichi on Bleach)
ENGLISH CAST: *Vash is played by Johnny Yong Bosch (known for Ichigo on Bleach, Lelouch on Code Geass, Makoto on Free!, Izaya on Durarara, Artemis on Sailor Moon redub, Koizumi on Haruhi Suzumiya, and Yukio on Blue Exorcist)
*Meryl is played by Dorothy Elias-Fahn (known for Kaoru on Rurouni Kenshin, Naru on Love Hina, Tomoe on Rozen Maiden, Hakuei on Magi, Houki on Fushigi Yugi, and Amane on Tenchi Muyo GXP)
*Milly is played by Lia Sargent (known for Dorothy on The Big O and Judy on Cowboy Bebop)
FAVORITE CHARACTER: Milly! I don’t need a reason, it’s Milly!
SHIPPING: I didn’t really start thinking about shipping until more than halfway into this series. I thought there might be something between Vash and Meryl, but then again maybe not! Then I saw the backstory of Vash’s “younger days” and falling for the one woman who showed him compassion.
Yes, this is the same woman we consistently see in Vash’s flashbacks, Rem. Ooh boy, it’s one of those stories! So yeah, never mind my thinking with Vash x Meryl ever happening. I feel like Vash will mourn Rem’s death for a long time that I don’t think the whole thing with Meryl will ever work.
And as for Wolfwood x Milly…
FUUUUUUUCK! WHY DID YOU RUIN THIS CUTE COUPLE?!
MILLY WAS HEART-BROKEN!
…At least she got to have one night of passion with Wolfy-boy before the unthinkable happened.
THAT DARN CAT: If you watched this series, you might have noticed a little black cat spotted in nearly every episode. It’s there in the opening theme. It’s there in random places throughout the series. It’s there in the ending theme. What’s up with this cat? Well, there are a lot of theories surrounding this particular cat (or Kuroneko). Some say it’s really Rem inside that cat since you see it in literally every episode around Vash. Others say it’s because the creator of Trigun wanted to just mess with your minds with the kitty walking around in random places and towns. Seriously, it will always appear in every new town Vash and the gang comes across! As an avid cat enthusiast, I’m fine with whatever the result. Just as long as no harm comes to the little Kuroneko.
HALFWAY POINT: Halfway into the series we notice something more when it comes to Mr. Vash the Stampede. First of all, those horrifying scars all over his body! Second, that mysterious girl he often thinks about. I mean, we see flashes of her in the opening sequence. And third, the reason why he never kills. Vash has the ability of causing so much damage when pushed to a breaking point. One of the many reasons why he’s known as the “humanoid typhoon”! And that was perfectly shown when Vash chases the residents out of a town (so there would be no casualties), totally demolished the town during a fight, and made an indent on the moon!
But the story takes a sharp-left turn into WTF territory when we learn about WHAT exactly Vash is. Vash is a plant. Vash also has a brother named Knives. And while Vash has a mentality that all beings have a right to live, Knives has a “kill them all and let God sort them out” point of view. Now the existence of Vash and Knives came with a lot of controversy, especially in the ship that they were on. But that girl who Vash cares for, Rem cared for them regardless of what they were. Rem had high hopes for a peaceful world with coexistence. Too bad Knives had other motives and killed her.
ENDING TO TV SERIES: Vash has tried so hard to keep Milly, Meryl, and Wolfwood out of harm’s way. He knows there are some pretty bad people after him, including his polar-opposite brother, Knives. Vash hates death and wants to save as many people as humanly possible. He doesn’t want to see any more needless death. Probably from his flashbacks and losing Rem! Unfortunately, this doesn’t go so well.
I can see how iconic this death was now after witnessing it. Wolfwood, the priest who would hook up with Vash every now and then when they’re up against some ruffians, now finds himself in a crucial decision. He gets orders that he must eliminate Vash. And Wolfwood ends up dying instead in a very dramatic death scene. God-damn! And just that scene where Milly is sobbing freakin’ eats you up inside.
At least she had one night of passion before the unfortunate happened!
Vash hates the thought of having to kill anyone. But he might not have a choice if Knives is coming after him and even hires a powerful foe from a previous episode and the guy that killed Wolfwood to take you out. Once Vash met up with Knives, he winds up having some pretty sick flashbacks of Knives. But our homeboy was able to take out Knives, the desert area gets water, and…
I’m gonna have to read the fucking manga for more, right?
Tap dancing fuck!
BADLANDS RUMBLE: 12 years after the series ended, Japan decides to release a side-story in the form of a movie, bringing back our favorite characters like Vash, Wolfwood, Milly, and Meryl. And yes, reuniting the cast…in Japan.
By 2010, Geneon was as good as dead and FUNimation licensed Trigun. In short, they managed to get Johnny Young Bosch to reprise his role as Vash the Stampede. But everyone else was replaced. And surprisingly, the people they got to do Wolfwood and Milly were pretty freakin’ close to their original voices. Meryl’s voice, come on I know Luci Christian any-damn-where! Vash helps a young lady take out a big-bad guy (who turns out to be his father). And it has the feel of the original series where it’s set in a western town with lots of booze and shoot-em-ups! It’s an interesting side-story to the Trigun trilogy.
Trigun was a pretty good anime. I mean, not one of my favorites, but I can definitely see a lot of people sticking by this classic. Maybe you can chalk up my blah attitude to the fact that I’m not fond of westerns and I kinda took it out on Trigun. Or the fact that there was so much more that the anime could have covered before the end and the ending kinda felt off to me! Like I thought I was expecting more. But I suppose that’s what mangas are for. To be honest, the stories that really grabbed my attention were the back-stories with Vash and Knives and Wolfwood’s final episode.
*sniffles* At least Milly got one night of passion before he died!
If you would like to check out Trigun, all the episodes are available through FUNimation and Hulu (in both Japanese and English). And if you really like the anime, why not purchase the hard copies? Both the series and movie are available for home video.
Okay, that took me a while, but I’m glad to finish Trigun. What’s next on the FUNimation list?
EEHHHHHEEEHHHE
Fuck is that supposed to mean? What is that? Is that even in English?
YOU WILL BE HORRIBLY MUTILATED: The Isekai
Do you mean Re:Zero? That’s great…but that review’s not ready yet. And it probably won’t be until after April 2021! So let’s cast caution to the wind and pick another FUNimation licensed anime.
You’re watching Sarazanmai next. It’s best if you don’t ask questions.
Sarazanmai? The fuck does that even mean?!
OH. MY. GOD.

SUPERVERISVE: “Trigun” is indeed probably the most Christian anime ever
I really didn’t know what to expect with “Trigun”.
Everybody had been recommending it to me for awhile, but I had tried the first couple of episodes already. They weren’t bad, but the show never really clicked for me. I was left there scratching my head wondering what was supposedly so special about it. I got why somebody might enjoy it in a “It’s not that great but it’s amusing” sort of way, but no more than that.
And then to be told that at its heart it was a Catholic story philosophically, thematically, and morally?
It should have been right up my alley, but I didn’t see the path from point A to point B. Still, so many people were praising it, and it had been recommended to me so many times, that I felt obligated to finish the series out. It’s not as if it was painfully bad or anything, and there must be SOMETHING to all the talk, right?
So I kept watching.
And man am I glad I did.
“Trigun” is an excellent show.
“Trigun” is the story of Vash the Stampede as told by insurance girls Meryl and Millie. Vash is a mysterious yet highly destructive drifter from the western-style planet of Gunsmoke, and Meryl and Millie have been tasked with following him around because every time he shows his face it costs their company enormous amounts of money. Vash has a 60 billion double dollar bounty on his head, but there’s something strange about him:
He’s a really, really great guy. Funny, fun, great with children, defender of the weak and helpless, and abhorrent of all killing of any kind.
So what’s with the bounty? And what’s with Vash?
And there’s your story.
“Trigun” starts off as light as a feather, even goofy, and then gets…dark. Really, really dark. Bloody deaths of beloved characters type dark.
“Trigun” is a show that is great at little, bad at some (the animation is rather weak, though I find much criticism of the dub to be unwarranted), but good at almost everything, and by the time it all ends the whole feels much greater than the sum of its parts. One thing the show is particularly good at is making you empathize with everyone, even the bit characters – nobody is acting like a jerk just to act like a jerk. If you have a giant wall up guarded by gunmen to keep out outsiders, you probably have a good reason for it and don’t just hate orphans. And if you want to kill Vash the Stampede, well, join the club.
“Trigun” is also uncompromisingly brutal when it comes to exploring its themes. Vash has taken the philosophy of “Thou shalt not kill” to the extreme, refusing to do so even in self-defense or defense of others, at least at the point of the series’ start. And we love Vash for it!
But it’s not so black and white. How many lives would Vash have saved if he’d just killed Knives? Hundreds? Thousands? And what if it really does come to protecting innocents, in that moment? Should you STILL not kill? Why not? And what does it mean for you if you do?
“Trigun” asks these questions without flinching, putting the matter before you as starkly as possible. And we never really get straight answers.
“Trigun’s” characters are rather unmemorable as a whole, with a few notable exceptions. Legato is one of the most chillingly horrifying villains I’ve ever seen, Vash himself gets a lot of rich character development, and, of course, preacher man Nicholas D. Wolfwood, the man with the most badass Cross on the planet, is the most awesome character in the whole damn show.
The man. The myth. The legend. Nicholas D. Wolfwood
Let’s talk a little more about Wolfwood, who is a fascinating character. It is interesting that Vash, “The humanoid typhoon” who doesn’t really talk about God or religion all that much, is the absolute pacifist of the group, while Wolfwood, the Priest, provides the counterargument. Wolfwood believes in a rougher world than Vash and in some ways comes from a rougher world than Vash, so he finds Vash’s no-kill policy naive, frustrating, and insulting, implying that men like him who kill to protect themselves or others are just as bad as cold-blooded murderers. It’s a legitimate grief, and the show portrays it that way. Like the best fiction neither side is shown as being exactly “right” or “wrong”. Instead, the idea is explored and examined in an intelligent and even-handed way.
There’s so much more to say about Wolfwood, who is truly a fantastic and fantastically written character, but to go deeply into what makes him so great would be to get into some really annoying spoilers, so instead I’ll leave this fantastic article out there for all of you to read when you finish the series.
The final episode – at least the second half, when the useless clip section of the episode is over – features one of the most outstanding gunfights I’ve ever seen on screen, almost completely dialogue free and brilliantly filmed. And the ending?
Well…
When I first saw it I’ll just say I was REALLY, REALLY ANGRY, though my brother pointed out some small details about the scene that helped me look at it in a new light. Still, it’s fair to say that it makes you think and stays with you a long time after it’s over.
Worth noting: “Trigun” features one of the most beautifully shot and filmed death scenes I have ever seen, and one of the saddest. I won’t say who it is who dies, but the scene is so well-done I feel that it is worth calling out specifically as being perhaps the best scene of the entire show. I don’t think I’ll need to link it – you’ll all know what I mean.
“Trigun” isn’t a masterpiece on the level of “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood”, “Cowboy Bebop”, or the first half of “Death Note”. It never reaches the insanely high heights of any of those shows. Yet it’s never truly bad, even during its slow start, and it evolves into something that feels unique despite the fact that the sci-fi western is essentially its own sub-genre, with shows as brilliant as “Cowboy Bebop”, “Firefly”, and “Outlaw Star” (so I’ve been told, anyway) all fitting into that niche. Its uncompromising and unflinching nature gives it a fresh perspective on a lot of well-worn themes, and its take on Christianity feels both sympathetic yet somehow alien – like it’s being investigated by an outsider and all of its potential weaknesses are being shaken out and examined. When everything in the show’s DNA all clicks together the result is excellent comedy and compelling, and sometimes devastating, drama. While I don’t think it’s up with the top tier of shows, if somebody were to tell me it was their favorite I could definitely understand that.
Is it superversive?: Yes, fascinatingly so
Overall score: 8 of 10. Well worth your time.
(A note – after googling around while writing this article I’ve found that there is a TON of excellent “Trigun” analysis out there to read – it really is a much deeper series than you might give it credit for at first glance. Many of these essays are fascinating, and it might be worth your time just to google something like “Trigun Christianity” and look at some of them if you’re that type of guy!)

Sub vs Dub
This is a constant debate that I see or hear whenever I mention anime. I wanted to discuss this because the hate against dubbed anime is something that bothers me. So I ask, why a war on sub vs dub?
Disclaimer: This isn’t a hate post on sub and dub watchers. This war is ridiculous itself. If I mention an anime in dub that you enjoy and I label bad and vice versa, I’m sorry. I research ‘bad dubbed anime’ and ‘good dubbed anime’ to use as examples. This post isn’t focusing people to watch sub and dub. You are free to enjoy any kind of anime you want.
What is sub and dub? Sub have the captions at the bottom that let you read what the characters are saying. Dubbing is where you have someone record the lines again, which means there’s no need to read subtitles.
The hate on dubbed anime. I never understand why fans hated dubbed anime.
Ok, I see why the hate of dubbed anime. However, these anime don’t speak for all dubs. People who say dub anime suck either think 1. Dub is an insult to Japanese animation or 2. Have a mindset that dub actors are terrible. It is one’s opinion about dubbed anime, but it shouldn’t justified for every dubbed anime that is made.
Reasons why dubs is better than subs. There are some anime that have been dubbed and outdone the original.
These dubbed anime have help started many careers for voice actors and make the anime more popular and successful. More examples of dubs being great is how much quality and effort are being put into it. Miyazaki himself quoted that his films are to be watched, not read. The producers of El-Hazard: The Magnificent World stated they prefer the English voices for the characters. Japanese fans of Code Geass like Johnny Yong Bosch’s performance, as it sounds more natural, than Jun Fukuyama. In some cases, the anime creators have an involvement in voice over department like Watanabe, Anno and others.
Bad actors in dubs. For people to say dub actors are horrible, I think they don’t truly understanding how much work is put into acting in anime. Yes, there are actors who can’t act. However, I need to address something to everyone that there are actually good voice actors in the anime industry.
Caitlin Glass. She is well known for her performances from Fullmetal Alchemist as Winry Rockbell, Spiral as Hiyono Yuizaki, and Ouran High School Host Club as Haruhi Fujioka.
Johnny Yong Bosch. He has voiced Shotaro Kaneda from Akira, Vash the Stampede on Trigun, and in Durarara!! as Izaya Orihara.
Monica Rial. You heard her in Neon Genesis Evangelion as Maya Ibuki, Another as Mei Misaki, and Michiko Malandro in Michiko & Hatchin.
Vic Mignogna. He famously known as Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, Tamaki Suoh in Ouran High School Host Club, and Free! as Rin Matsuoka.
Wendee Lee. She is the voice of Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop, Twilight Suzuka from Outlaw Star, and Saki Arima in Your Lie in April.
Steve Blum. His iconic roles are in Cowboy Bebop as Spike Spiegel, Samurai Champloo as Mugen, and Great Teacher Onizuka as Eikichi Onizuka.
These people are prime examples of good actors. They wouldn’t be here where they are if it wasn’t for dubbing anime. Some of these actors are my favorites, and are amazing in their performances.
Sub and Dub anime are still wonderful pieces of anime. I have no issues with them. My issue with sub vs dub is the sub fans arguing with people for watching dub anime. They don’t have to like dub anime, but it’s rude for them yell at dub watchers. Either way, we’re watching beautiful pieces of works created by talented people.

Haha ignore the fact this is multiple days late, got busy and then forgot about this convo 😅😅
I started reading the manga during my small moments of free time and goddamn I still repeat “he’s just a little guy” over and over about vash like I did with stampede 😭😭 and I just finished volume 1 so when they were on the sand steamer and even just the part where he was shooting the big guy I was sitting there in shock because he looked like he was killing him even tho I knew he probably wasn’t I was just blown away. And then like five seconds later he was beating up the kid for being sentimental akjdkaks. The whiplash I’d get from being on the edge of my seat from a battle to cackling at a little comment from vash
Tho I will admit I’m having a bit of trouble following along at times. Sometimes there’s so much going on on a page that I can’t tell what’s happening or I can’t understand what’s happening in a panel. I’d sit there for a few minutes just studying the page to try and find out what’s happening 😅 everything just seems to move so fast but honestly it’s a little nice knowing that one of the small gripes I had about stampede was part of the manga, so I know it’s not like bad writing. It may also be the fact I don’t usually read manga but stampede was like that and I have read small parts of other manga before and I don’t remember them moving so fast
Gosh I feel a little sick just thinking about it still. Like I didn’t even remember the plant part ngl just where nai was changing vash’s memories and using him to open the other dimension. That’s why I usually prefer reading stuff like that cause then I can just skim the page and get a vague idea of what’s happening and don’t have to pay too much attention but with tv you have to watch to understand, and I couldn’t even look away and just listen cause I watch sub not dub (tho I really hope the dub comes to Hulu at some point I think this is the first time I’ve ever wanted to watch a dub of an anime the clips I’ve seen are just so good) but I’m glad I’ll be able to just skim the page when reading the manga and it gets uncomfy
I kinda can’t imagine him getting so aggressive which is probably why I was so shocked by the manga. Like I can’t remember too many moments from what I’ve read that he stopped to try and “talk it out” (tho that could also be me just missing it from fast-pacedness) I still think of him almost never pulling his gun when I have read him doing it over and over in the manga. Honestly I’m a little scared for when nai arrives in the manga because 1, youve said vash gets scary and 2, I’m genuinely worried nai will be a lot worse in the manga tho I have no reason to think that yet. Maybe it’s cause of the talk of stampede just being a prequel so nai might get worse (if he’s alive but like ?? He’s gotta be right??? No way he just died idk I have a feeling he’s alive or smth)
Oh god the FEATHERS I was wondering what that was when I was watching stampede and then the wings appeared in the manga and I was like OH MY GOD. And now I’m even more worried because he can’t control it??? So people fear him???? Not my boy don’t do this to him he don’t deserve it 😭😭
I can’t tell if the manga will heal me from stampede or not cause apparently vash stands up for himself way fucking more than in the show which I’m extremely happy about but also sounds like he goes through so much more trauma which I cannot deal with he needs all the hugs 😭😭😭
Hey besties I have a question
Do I read the manga or watch the anime of trigun first? I wanted to read the manga first but the only way I know to access it is through the trigun manga overhaul account here on tumblr but i don’t like downloading stuff from random people on the internet
So if you say manga first, is that tumblr account a good and safe way to access it online or is there a better place?
#tumblr is fixed I can see my writing now >:D#sorry again for not responding for a bit 😅😅#tw caps#long post

tristamp ep 4!
-hell yeah wolfwood time!
-i… do not love his dub voice. might need more time to get used to it, tbh. it does sound like the voice of a smoker. but i… i loved how baritone his voice was in the sub. it’s fine, he’s still cute as a button. maybe it’ll be four for four by the end?
-jfc he smoked sooo much. absolutely stressed beyond belief. in over his head already.
-i do love him being a terrible priest ngl. i did cackle. as did him eating that bug.
-ngl meryl’s bad driving gives me life! she’s terrible!!
-god, vash refusing to eat to begin with and then the episode ends with him eating. oh vash. :((( at least wolfwood’s words got through to him, even if it was staged.
-zazie!! he looks so cute with blue hair and he looks great with white hair. his and wolfwood’s partnership is so cute! the whole pantomime!!!
-love that roberto sees right through wolfwood as being deeply suspicious. he is!
-meryl and wolfwood are so cute! he’s so successful at bugging her!! it’s cute!! he loves riling her up!
-lmao at wolfwood’s nicknaming skills. so we get drunkle for roberto. little lady for meryl. and needle noggin for vash. thought i’d hear blondie bc i heard that’s a thing, but like. i got more episodes! i can wait.
-i can see it in his eyes. jfc vash. i can’t help it, i love these two butting heads.
-and wolfwood is just. ig i’ll tag along you guys.
-i do wonder how much time passes between ep 3&4 tbh. knives meets vash in 3, and by 4, sends wolfwood after them.
-the bioluminescence of green was so pretty!!
