Ok yes or no to this take on DarkChocolate:

They’ve been super close friends for centuries (because they’re old losers) and have been in love for a while too, but they don’t know. They think, that around someone that has been your friend for so long, that it’s completely normal to love being around them and get all jittery and flustered and whatever. There aren’t many people around for literal centuries, so there really isn’t anything to compare to. Just: feelings change for your friends over long periods of time and they start displaying ‘in love’ feelings (not that they know because they’re socially stupid).

When Nightmare’s gang sees how they act together for the first time, they all just assume that they’re together and go with it. When they start asking questions, Nightmare and Error get all confused because ‘What? No, we’re just friends? …. Right??’.

Then gay panic follows after the gang starts describing to them what being in love is like in great detail
