i think it is just so very cool and sexy of the rwby writers to let sun not “get the girl” but also never portray him as some sort of underdog who deserves better i just think it’s so hot that he can take being friendzoned and happily continue with his life knowing he has a great (dare i say best) friend in blake and not harbor any bitterness or entitlement wow what a dream boy
