HI HELLO dont worry i love talking about the flower symbolism in my pieces :D

Bormethius is holding alyssum, which symbolizes sweetness / pure intentions, which is in line with how he's percieved as the detective! Ivory is holding foxglove, which means hidden danger, referencing the fact that despite its beauty, it's a poisonous flower. Ivory looking at the foxglove is meant to show her seeing the other side to bormethius that hasn't yet been seen by anyone in whitepine other than her and somewhat zam! You could also take it as being Borm's perception of her, where they keep grilling her on the murder, attempting to find something hidden behind her peaceful demeanor.

on an unrelated note to the flowers, the way that Borm is posed in this is smth i'm super proud of! on first glance, it's a very casual pose, but if you look for a little longer, you realize that his arm is wrapped around Ivory's neck, almost in a threatening manner!
