i see a lot of ppl theorizing Barbatos was mad at Solomon for another reason and just lied to mc because he doesn't trust them and tbh considering how long it took for him to open up to mc in the og game it's a very believable theory but also Barbatos getting mad at Solomon because he wasn't the first demon Solomon thought to make a pact with is very silly to me i love that part so much

also in the part of the story where mc says they'd like to do both of their ideas and Solomon just says they're greedy 😭😭😭 i hate that man so mMUCH /pos

Anyway, yes, Barb's shoulders which we so rarely get to see~ I am sayin' he looks like a freakin' bride!!

Solomon is always adorable but that funny lil rawr face is incredibly cute lol!!

I suppose you could say Nightbringer allows for them to have an enemies to lovers sort of story... and you could also rewrite the list thing to be a story about Barb feeling jealous in a boyfriend sort of way...

But dearest anon, I'm afraid I am one of those people who has theorized that Barb is lying to MC about his real reason for being mad at Solomon. I think the reason would have been funny if they hadn't made such a huge deal out of it. But Barbatos rarely displays that kind of emotion and to me it just didn't make sense for it to be something so minuscule, even if it is funny. It seems a little more plausible if you look at it through a shipping lens, though. Like if Barbatos really loves Solomon only to find that he only made it eighth on the list? That feels a little more likely to me. But even then, I feel like Barb's just not that dramatic about stuff lol. I could get into this further, but I digress!

Of course, I know a lot of people enjoyed that particular piece of the story and I'm not at all going to say that they shouldn't, so it's all good lol!

Solomon saying MC is greedy made me laugh, too! I was like exCUSE me, but you two can't agree on anything at the moment, what do you want me to do, choose a side!?!? I don't think so! If saying yes to my two faves makes me greedy, then just call me Mammon. >:(

I wish I could tell you if it was just you, but I'm not familiar enough with Evangelion to give you an opinion, I'm afraid. I'm just gonna say that you are probably right and should trust your instincts!!

I was tagged by @rosedavid to share my top five favorite tarlos scenes, so here they are in no particular order:

1. TK comes to the apartment looking ransacked and thinking they were robbed only for Carlos to say he's been looking for Lou. My favorite part is when TK goes "You got him? Is he," and Carlos goes "What? No! I didn't kill him"

2. TK waking up from whatever number coma after going into hypothermic shock and he physically pulls Carlos into a hug, initiating that physical touch. Especially since Carlos had that whole moment when he wanted to touch TK's hand but couldn't 💔

3. It's kind of minuscule, but I really do love the scene where TK is making Beef Wellington for dinner. We watched TK go from someone who didn't want to stay for dinner for making Beef Wellington for someone.

4. TK comforting Carlos after the loft burned down will always be one that plays in my head on a loop. At that point of the show, I feel like we'd only seen Carlos comfort TK because he felt the need to be the one who was "grounded" but it was nice to see him break his own wall down, in a way.

5. Proposal of course! I've said it before, but seeing TK go from someone who set up a fancy dinner to propose to someone with a ring to proposing to Carlos in the middle of the night with nothing more than words and his heart?? Love it each and every time.

Thomas: he’s on the naughty list man. Blackmail, bribing judges/police officials, distributing illegal drugs/weapons, kidnapping, and a sprinkle of human trafficking, yeah. :3

Evelyn: SHE’S ONLY A MURDERER FOR A SIDE HUSSEL! (N/A)!! FREE HER!!!!! no but seriously the worst thing she’s done is brutally dissect like twenty people. she’s innocent 💔

Sam: aside from the murdering, he just stalks and kidnaps for the most part, so probably that. oh but he also drugs his victims so ig that’s sorta illegal too haha :3 (guess where he got the drugs from.)

Lucian: kidnapping probably….i feel like cannibalism ties in with murder so!!

4. What appears in your OC’s darkest nightmares?

Thomas: this man doesn’t HAVE nightmares. he goes to bed after dissecting someone like: 😴!! he could care less.

Evelyn: having violet give up on her. i mean, she wants to cure her condition more than anything, and having violet there to guide her has brought her a long way. without her, man…she might as well return to how it was. and that alone scares her more than anything.

Sam: his mother’s death is always his darkest nightmare. he knows its coming soon and one of these days he’s just gonna wake up and she’ll be gone.

Lucian: his (s/o) or friends sexually assaulting him. he ofc has nightmares about his stepfather’s abuse more often, but the darkest nightmares always originate from the thought that they would betray him like that too.

7. How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?

Thomas: anything. if thomas hall wants something, he’s gonna get it. there’s no doubt in my mind that he would commit mass genocide just for a fucking soda. the thing about thomas is that he doesn’t take no for an answer - take that as you will.

Evelyn: honestly, if she can’t have it, she’ll be fine with it. unless it’s a very dire need, she’ll drop it sooner or later. but if it’s something that pertains her well-being or condition…well…a few heads might roll.

Sam: very persistent. not for physical things, but emotional. he could care less if he didn’t get some shoes he wanted. now to have riley’s eyes on him? anything in the world will do for a sacrifice. <3

Lucian: oh he’s persistent alright. if he doesn’t get something minuscule he wants, he’ll be okay with that. but if it’s something dire, something he truly needs, his sweetheart mentality suddenly becomes a bit tainted. depending on what it is, some people may or may not make it out alive.

13. Who does your OC hate the most?

Thomas: his mother. there’s no other competition.

Evelyn: thomas lmao. not only does she hate him as a person, but she hates his fake persona that he puts up so people don’t know what kind of monster he really is.

Sam: lindsey hall and her little bitches. yeah. even if they’re six feet under the ground, sam will always be their #1 hater til the day he dies.

Lucian: this one was actually hard…but i would probably say his mother. he’s been manipulated by his stepfather so much that he can’t help but “love” him, even if he knows how wrong it was. his mother, however, LEFT HIM WITH THAT MAN knowing EXACTLY what he was capable of. so he hates her more than he will ever hate him.

Jasper had suggested she do something to relax herself; something creative, perhaps? were his exact words. Anything at all if it kept her mind away from her many, many failed trials. He did not mention to her that her consistently snippy attitude these past weeks has done nothing but make everyone in the palace feel out of place and almost fearful to stumble upon her in the halls, but she could gather that was the reason for his suggestion.

So she paints. It is in no way one of her stronger skills and as Radahn settles himself in the seat behind her and her easel, it's clear there was a very good reason there were no painting tests.

Didi appreciates the soothing nature of it regardless of her ineptitude. The view from the study's balcony is lovely, all hedge tops from the rose bushes in the gardens, blue skies with a spattering of dark birds interrupting the serenity. She does her best to follow her father's advice; relaxing her clenched jaw and forgetting about her recent failures, focusing instead on the birds, the minuscule insects that flutter past, the yellow roses that nearly glow amidst the glossy leaves—

It is a bit difficult to focus on all that, however, when she feels him hovering. She fills her brush with more paint and chooses to ignore him...right up until she feels his hand run through her hair.

To most, it would be seen as a sweet, perhaps even romantic gesture, brushing the loose curl from her face so tenderly. Touching what little he could just to be near her. Any other woman might swoon.

Didi's teeth sink into the palm so dangerously close to her lips. In a brief moment of madness, she refuses to let go, digging canines into hardened flesh with the intent to pierce. She cannot feel if he flinches or if he is attempting to tug his hand away; all she can feel is her blood rushing in her ears and the wet red that eventually starts to fill her mouth—

Metal hits her tongue and seems to set her right again, Didi prying her teeth from his hand. She can see the wound she's left on him for no other reason than her own rage. What had he done? What had he done that was so reproachable that she resorted to this? What had she done?

So there she sits on on her stool so confounded by her own actions, staring down at the red mess she's left behind in his palm and knowing that her teeth must be a ghastly pink by now. Gathering up her skirts, she hides from his gaze, eyes trained to the floor. "Forgive me, I must wash up," is all she can muster out.

Even after he learns he can put his trust in you for the first time, at his most vulnerable, it still takes him so incredibly long to acknowledge it happened and to allow you to witness it again. The journey the point of it being normal and most importantly okay with him (still exclusively when with you) is painstaking. But it’s oh so worth it to see him truly let himself feel after so so many years of bottling everything up :(((( 💜💜💜.

I like to think he very much always knew about his soft side, but he forced it down, crushed it to smithereens because he always felt he had to perform, like he couldn’t simultaneously be successful and true to himself deep inside. He let it show in the most minuscule of ways during UA, but after that time period just completely allowed the ability to show that to rot away. Too focused on becoming number one through sheer will and skill.

I’ve always thought his superiority complex arises from an inferiority complex hiding underneath :c 💔 (my baby 🥺).

Ugh but the moment he truly begins to understand that he can still be loved and respected and understood and won’t be judged for showing his weakness with us is such a momentous thing it literally changes the way he views life a lil bit. He starts allowing himself to soften when with his peers (though nowhere near the extent to when you have him under you a tear stained hiccuping mess 😩😩😩). Any time you touch him, even when he is currently being the dominant partner in a spicy situation, you feel the way he wanes a little, letting you know he’s ready to be your little crybaby at any given moment should you choose to turn things around 🫶🏾.

a/n: thank you for the request, i really liked this prompt! honestly, i kind of want to make a companion fic where they’re at the gala 👀 anyways i hope you like this!

Curt paced back and forth in your living room restlessly, periodically glancing towards his silver watch, one you had lovingly picked out for him as a birthday present. The digits glared back at him as if they were mocking him for being so uptight, but regardless, being late was never something he wanted to be associated with his name. Even a time so minuscule and fruitless seemed to drive him mad.

“Y/N, could you hurry it up please?” He called, his voice bellowing into the hallway.

The current predicament of your evening was certainly a new one. The herpetologist you had grown to love was many things, parts of him you’ve grown to cherish during your time together. Although with those wonderful qualities, came the fact that he was a wallflower at heart. He never enjoyed Oscorp’s frivolous parties, trapped in a ballroom filled with boisterous and pretentious individuals who he’d have to talk to at least a little, a torturous task to secure funding for his passion. But after several skipped (or much rather, blown off,) occasions, Norman Osborn had enough and was adamant for Curt to make an appearance at tonight's gala.

As Curt continued to glance around nervously, additionally fiddling with his black tie every second or so, he felt a pang of guilt for rushing you. In fact, you were doing him a favor accompanying him to this. Chances were that being at such a stressful event with his significant other to support him would be far better than the alternative. The truth was, he just wanted to get tonight over with. In his mind it was simple: the sooner you got ready, the sooner you could get there. And that would consequently bring you even closer to getting to go home.

“Sorry, Curt!”

“It’s fine, honey. Let’s just go,” Curt smiled, turning around to face you, blue eyes immediately widening at your outfit.

You donned an elegant navy gown, paired along with a simple but stunning necklace and earrings to match. He couldn’t stop himself from gazing down towards the slit of your dress, exposing your leg and the pair of sapphire heels you wore. With a gulp, the scientist realized that maybe being late wouldn’t be too bad after all.

“Oh, wow,” he gaped, “It’s fine. Absolutely fine. In fact,” he scratched the back of his neck, “High heels do look good on you.”

“Thank you, sweetheart,” you grinned, striding closer towards Curt, gently grabbing the lapels of his suit as you adjusted his tie.

Unbeknownst to you, the man was flushed, basking in your presence at such close proximity. With a pat to his chest, you smiled, gazing up at him.

“You don’t look too bad yourself,” you told him softly, before pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. Curt felt a flood of adoration fill his senses, and with that came a bit of bravery. This night should be tolerable at the very least, as long as he had you by his side.
