Hey! First off, I’m glad you’re taking time to yourself. I hope your studies go well! and secondly, I wanted to say that I love The Gentlemen. It’s my fav that I’ve ever read (and I wouldn’t mind being put on the tag list for it lol) But I also wanted to ask something more personal, if you’re okay with answering if. I also identify as lesbian, but sometimes I feel that liking the boys, and especially reading sexual things, I feel like I invalidate myself. Do you have any advice? tysm :)

and that’s a really good question ! please do not feel invalidated for any reason. i’m a lesbian and i write smut ! i read plenty of it too, and i still firmly identify with the term lesbian. the reality is, bts are presented to us in many ways as the ideal. they’re attractive, kind, endearing, honest, amiable. they hip-thrust on stage and joke around on run bts. we see so many good sides of them, it’s understandable and very reasonable that many people see them as attractive even if they aren’t attracted to men otherwise. 

when we choose to label ourselves, it isn’t a strict, four-walled box that we must perfectly fit in. just because a cis straight female says kristen stewart is hot doesn’t make her bi if she doesn’t identify as bi. just because i write smut about bts and will fawn like a victorian gentlemen over seokjin’s ankles, doesn’t mean i identify as bi. you don’t have to feel like being a lesbian is a test you have to score 100% on to pass. there is nothing wrong with you. <3
