better sit down for this one lads its time for sonic.exe lore drop.

OKAY SO BASICALLY UMMMM.. my Sonic.Exe is in fact the first design draft for Sonic (Least the one that I could find) which was when he was originally planned to be a rabbit. See here v

He was accidentally brought into existence, and through the fact he shouldn’t even be real, he was left in a state of non-existence. he could see the world and move around, but nothing could see or interact with him. of course being stuck like that for 30 Years (hehe) does shit to a litle animal like this so um. he went a lil goofy crazy.

Due to the fact it isn’t tied to the universe and was completely accidental, it isn’t tied to the realms of reality and logic either. And so through this, used some silly little trick to take over Sonic’s body, essentially becoming what it feels it should’ve been. That being the “protag” and the “hero”. It was essentially wearing Sonic’s skin, and for a while genuinely masqueraded as Sonic. Completely aware it was inside a video game.

There’s two ways it goes from here on. Taking the “inside a video game” route, its version of the game makes its way around, it taking this to try and be remembered and replace the version of Sonic people have in their minds. Its true goal being to find its way to one of the character designers of Sonic to remind them of it and declare itself as the original after deleting Tails, Knuckles and Amy and “changing” Eggman. It’s aware when it encounters someone who isn’t one of the character designers, and if the person isn’t convinced or in belief of its existence it simply attempts to induce seizure through overloading and overwhelming graphics or break the computer its on completely. The only fatalities its caused have been through sheer accident on account of fatal seizures.

The other way is “in universe” of Sonic. It’d be eventually revealed as being “Not Sonic” and through it lead to a chain of events you’d come to expect. It kills Knuckles and Tails and essentially everyone within the realm of existence in Sonics universe. But it leaves Eggman alive, still wanting to live the life it shouldve had as it shouldve been. No Tails, no knuckles, no Amy or Shadow or anyone else. Just a rabbit fighting against a mad scientist. It’d never even attempt to kill or harm Eggman in any serious way, wanting to act as if everything was fine. It even goes to the lengths of “altering” Eggman to be his concept design.

I like to call this bitch 30YEARS.exe on account of all this and hes just a little goofy guy with nobody lol. could probably make a verse of this where .exe WASNT originally a mistake by the universe and is instead just your average normal little rabbit creature.
