The castle's shadows stretched long in the late afternoon sun, casting an eerie glow across the Slytherin common room. You were hunched over your Potions textbook, the latest essay due by morning. Theodore Nott lounged beside you, absently twirling his wand between his fingers, while Mattheo Riddle, sprawled on the couch, skimmed through a book on dark magic.

Your brow furrowed as you reached for a book on a higher shelf, only to find it just out of your grasp. Huffing, you turned to your friends. “Theo, can you hand me that book?”

Theo glanced up, smirking. “What’s the magic word?”

“Please,” you grumbled.

“Good,” he replied with a grin, before rising to pluck the book off the shelf and holding it just out of your reach. “Come on, give it a try.”

“Give what a try?” you asked, eyes narrowing.

“Jump for it,” Theo said, his smile widening.

You scowled. “Are you fucking insane? I am not jumping for it. Give it to me.”

Before you could protest further, Mattheo walked over, scooped you up effortlessly, and held you aloft. “There, now you can reach it,” he said with a chuckle.

You grabbed the book and slapped Mattheo's shoulder lightly. “Put me down, you oaf!”

Mattheo complied, setting you back on the floor gently. “You’re welcome, by the way,” he said, ruffling your hair.

“Sometimes I hate you both,” you muttered, but the smile tugging at your lips betrayed your true feelings.

The next day, breakfast in the Great Hall was bustling with students, the usual chatter and laughter filling the air. You were sitting with Theo and Mattheo, enjoying a quiet moment, when you heard a familiar and unwelcome voice behind you.

“Well, if it isn’t the Slytherin dwarf,” Cormac McLaggen sneered, loud enough for everyone nearby to hear.

Your blood boiled instantly. You gripped your fork tightly, trying to maintain your composure. Theo noticed and placed a calming hand on your shoulder. “Ignore him,” he murmured.

But ignoring wasn’t an option. Not today.

You stood up, spinning around to face McLaggen. “What did you just call me?”

McLaggen’s smirk grew wider. “You heard me. Didn’t know they let house elves sit with the students.”

Without a second thought, you launched yourself across the table, sending plates and goblets flying. You tackled McLaggen, fists flying, landing a few solid punches before anyone could react.

“Bloody hell!” Mattheo shouted, rushing to pull you off McLaggen, who was now sporting a bloody nose and a look of utter shock.

Theo stood frozen, eyes wide. “What the hell just happened?”

You struggled against Mattheo’s hold, still fuming. “He called me a dwarf!”

Mattheo held you firmly, but you could see the amusement in his eyes. “And you decided to show him how wrong he was by… what, breaking his face?”

“Let me go!” you growled, still seething.

“Not until you calm down,” Mattheo said firmly, finally setting you down but keeping a protective arm around you.

Professor McGonagall was approaching, her expression a mix of disapproval and concern. “What is the meaning of this?!”

You took a deep breath, forcing yourself to calm down. “He insulted me,” you said through gritted teeth.

McGonagall’s stern gaze shifted to McLaggen, who was being helped up by his friends. “Mr. McLaggen, you will come with me. As for you,” she turned to you, “Detention, tonight. And consider this a warning. Physical altercations are not acceptable.”

You nodded, still trembling with anger. “Yes, Professor.”

As McGonagall led McLaggen away, Theo finally found his voice. “That was… intense.”

Mattheo released you, shaking his head with a laugh. “You’re something else, you know that?”

You shrugged, still glaring in the direction McLaggen had been taken. “He had it coming.”

The rest of the day was a blur of whispered conversations and sideways glances, but you didn’t care. As the sun set, you made your way to detention, only to find Mattheo and Theo waiting outside the classroom.

“What are you two doing here?” you asked, surprised.

“Thought we’d keep you company,” Theo said with a shrug. “Detention’s no fun alone.”

Mattheo grinned. “Besides, we couldn’t let you have all the fun, could we?”

You couldn’t help but smile. “Thanks, guys.”

The three of you spent the evening cleaning cauldrons and scrubbing floors, but the company made it bearable. Theo’s jokes and Mattheo’s sarcastic comments kept you laughing, and by the end of detention, your anger had dissipated entirely.

As you walked back to the Slytherin common room, you felt a wave of gratitude for your friends. They might drive you crazy sometimes, but they always had your back.

“Next time,” Theo said, slinging an arm around your shoulders, “let us handle the insults, okay? No need to go all berserk on them.”

You chuckled. “Deal. But only if you promise to keep me from getting into more trouble.”

Mattheo smirked. “No promises. Trouble seems to follow you wherever you go.”

“Or maybe I’m the one following it,” you replied with a grin.

“Either way,” Theo said, “we’ll be there with you.”

“Always,” Mattheo added.

With friends like these, you knew you could handle anything—even the taunts of a certain Gryffindor.

So I had this idea for a sick!Dazai fic (that I'm honestly too tired to write dhehee), and who else is better to brainstorm it with than my fellow Dazai whump enthusiast? :D

Based on my own experience of being sick for the past week, I forgot how awful it can get. It sucks. You're feverish, your nose is either runny or super blocked, your throat hurts, you get headaches, you're lethargic 80% of the time, all that stuff. But what sucked the most for me was how hot my skin felt. Like, clothes were so uncomfortable to wear from the sweat, especially since it's still summer around here.

So imagine putting bandages into account as well?

Yep, awful.

So I present you with a scenario: Teen!Dazai in his office, has taken over paper duty (that Mori knows he isn't gonna complete anyway) because of his fever. He feels gross, to say the least. Flushed and hazy, a little nauseous and sleepy. But his skin- his skin is scorching, and there is no way for it to disperse that heat because it can't breathe. He endures it for as long as he can until he just can't.

In his haze, he scrambles to tear his bandages off, loosen his tie, and decides that he will lie on the cold floor shirtless. The air conditioner isn't enough. No one is there to stop him.

Until Chuuya barges in without knocking as usual (to discus the paperwork he also knows Dazai isn't going to finish) and stumbles onto the scene.

Dazai doesn't even acknowledge him, has already taken off the bandages around his eye and is halfway through tearing off the ones around his neck. His clothes are disheveled as he loosens them and looks like he's about to take them off.

Chuuya gapes for a solid second, before exclaiming with a blush-

"What the fuck?!"

He rushes over, trying not to look at Dazai's skin that's on display and stops him. He wraps him with Mori's oversized coat aggressively.

Dazai fights against him, exclaiming that he needs to lie on the floor. Chuuya doesn't get it, all that he knows is that Dazai is delirious, and even if he thinks it's a good idea to tear through his protective layer now, he'll definitely regret it later.

So Chuuya ties him with the coat and decides to take the paperwork to his place, along with a flailing Dazai on his shoulder.

I just wanna see Dazai giving Chuuya hell during treating him 😭 cuz even if cooling off is a good idea for a fever, not staying huddled in the warmth equates to chills and endless sneezes. Makes you feel even more awful. So it's gonna be a push and pull of Chuuya trying to warm Dazai up (in order to fight off the fever faster), and Dazai wanting to cool off (because he isn't used to being this warm and hates it), until they come up with a compromise somehow dgdhejndjd

Yeah, just a fun idea! :3 Feel free to expand on it hehe

Chuuya would wrap Dazai up like a sushi roll & carry him on his shoulder like a log back to his apartment, where he proceeds to lose the idgaf war & embrace his mother hen side (which he still denies exists)

meanwhile Dazai is kicking & fighting him every step of the way, acting more like a 5 year old than a mafia sub executive (he’s still only a kid sobs), even as he shivers with chills

until Chuuya manages to get a hand in his sweat soaked curls, gently carding through them. the coolness of his leather glove against Dazai’s overheated scalp makes Dazai go still… and then slump against the couch in a mixture of relief & exhaustion. Chuuya takes advantage of his compliance to make him agree to stop fighting him, & they spend the rest of the day resting on the couch, watching movies & playing video games (well. Chuuya plays. Dazai watches & points out all of Chuuya’s mistakes) 🩷🩷🩷

Jungkook moved really close towards your face, but really close. So close that your noses touched eachother. Wow, he has pretty eyes and he is so sweet. He asked you to dance while you were burned out. But you didn’t want to kiss him first because it’s only been a week. But if he kissed you first you wouldn’t stop him. That was a promise you made towards yourself.

Jungkook started to stare at your lips. Then he looked at you and then again at your lips. You saw what he wanted to do. You liked what he was planning to do. With every movement he got an inch closer, and closer, and closer. And then you felt his soft lips touch yours. You closed your eyes and sank into the kiss. The kiss was slow, gentle and soft.

When you pulled out the kiss he just smiled at you. He had an adorable smile, like an bunny, so cute. You laid your head on his shoulder while still slow-dancing. His chin was resting on your head, and his hand went to your back, he hugged you tight.

All of a sudden, you saw Yoongi kissing that chick deeply. A really intense kiss, it looked very heated. You though by yourself: get a room. Even tho your a little bit drunk, you would have said ‘yes’ anyway. Jungkook truely cared about your feelings. And there was this feeling inside you that you felt with Yoongi. But now that feeling has been given’ to Jungkook.

He took your hand and leaded you outside. Yoongi saw what he was doing and was furious, you can’t imagine how angry he was. You ignored him, you didn’t care what Yoongi felt right now. Your legs hurted, you didn’t know why. You couldn’t step quickly so Jungkook decided to carry you towards his car. He placed you in the front seat of the car and gave you a little kiss on your forehead. While he drove you to his appartement, you fell asleep. And gosh you looked adorable. He parked his car and took you in his arms. He took the stairs instead of the elevator cause he wanted to keep you in his arms for a long time. He opened his appartement and went straight to his bedroom with you.

He placed you on his bed. And he went to the bathroom. You suddenly woke up and saw him going to the bathroom. His bed was huge, it was a king-sized bed. His room was also huge and the hole room was dark instead of the bed. The curtains weren’t closed on the bed side. He came back with his pyjama’s on. He looked so beautiful, you couldn’t imagine something so beautiful full.

‘Which side of the bed do you want?’ He asked shy.

‘The right one.’

He then layed next to you, silently. It was kinda akward to be honest.

‘You want to cuddle?’ He asked.

When he asked that you hugged him tight and you burried your head in his chest. He blushed.

‘Your cute, and so beautiful.’ he said while playing with your hair. Then you looked up to see him and you couldn’t resist,… so you kissed him. And that’s how an long make-out session started. But suddenly you heard someone banging on the door…

‘Y/N, Jungkook, I know you guys are here!’ Yoongi yelled.

Chapter 5

Adam was pacing around his room anxiously. He’s always hard being stuck in the house. Being grounded was his worst fear as a kid. He’s always been outdoorsy, his mother would always say he was an animal in a past life. He heard a woosh of wings behind him.

‘’will you please stop.’’

He turned around to see Michael. He looked agitated. It wasn’t Adam’s fault, he was just getting antsy.

‘’ ‘m sorry…’’ Adam apologized. Micheal looked him up and down.

‘’ I can feel you.’’ Jeez how to not make that sound predatory. Adam curiously cocked an eyebrow. ‘’everything you feel, I can sense it.’’ Micheal explained. Adam nodded slowly. Micheal kept staring at adam as if he was trying to scan him. Adam sighed and sat down on the couch with his head hanging off miserably.

‘’Better?’’ He mumbled staring up at the ceiling. Micheal narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms. He looked annoyed and more curious. Adam closed his eyes and sighed expecting Micheal to leave but instead he was surprised to feel a weight slowly seated next to him. He looked up to see something in Micheals hand. It was..an Metallica record! He loved that band! Micheal handed it to Adam and Adam slowly took it unsure what to do.

‘’Holy- jeez! How did you-‘’

‘’You mentioned it when you said you wanted music in here.’’ How did he even remember that?! Adam mentioned that ages ago! But he didn’t question it. He smiled at micheal brightly.‘’I don’t even know what to say man, thank you’’

Micheal nodded and left it at that. Probably went back out the deal with Lucifer. Adam looked down at the CD and began to wonder how the hell he was gonna play it, then suddenly a CD player poped up in front of him. ‘’How the- oh right..thanks!’’ Adam yelled out. He had completely forgotten micheal can hear his every thought. Kinda freaky but can be useful sometimes. (But mostly freaky.)

When Micheal came back Adam was laying on the couch listening to the CD staring at the ceiling. ‘’I see you enjoy the noise.’’ Micheal spoke. Adam sat up and nodded. ‘’Yeah man I love it but yknow somethings been nagging at me’’

Micheal cocked an eyebrow.

‘’How did you remember?’’ Adam asked with that tone. Micheal shrugged.

‘’I remember things.’’

Adam sighed. ‘’Sure sure…ooorrrr…’’ he trailed on. Micheal looked at him curiously wondering what was gonna come out of this kids mouth now. Adam grinned at him stupidly. ‘’You like me enough to listen to me’’ Micheal scoffed. Adam smiled and stood up. ‘’Cmmmoonnn you like me you know it!’’ He teased. Micheal rolled his eyes and folded his arms as if it was w old accusation. ‘’I could never like you. You’re simply a vessel Adam Milligan.’’ Micheal spoke coldly. ‘’I gave you the CD so you’d stop whining.’’

Adam’s grin faded a bit. He made an ‘oh’ sound of disappointed. He sat back down and looked down at he floor. Micheal looked him up and down and furrowed his brow. He’d ask himself why he said that but he knows why he did. Adam looked over at Micheal nervously. ‘’Well if you hate me so why don’t you get outta here.’’ He said. Micheal continued to just look at Adam, the eye contact being tense and the silence feeling never ending. ‘’And I’m done whining.’’ Adam added. ‘’So you can take that CD back too.’’

After a few more moments of silence, Micheal left. But he left the CD. Adam got up after he left and walked over to the CD, staring at it thinking ‘I’m such an idiot.’ He took the CD off the player and threw it on the ground, then off to the bedroom he went to ‘’whine’’ as Micheal would put it. What a stupid thing to think. Micheal having any emotion? Please, it’d be a miracle. Adam laid flat out on the bed to just think. Louging around doing nothing is his best way to think.

Micheal was finally starting to come around and he scared him off again like a mad man waving his hands around at a dog. A douchy, grumpy, know it all, cold dog. Back at square one.

finally, you guys arrive in seoul and as promised, jungkook drives to a mall so you can shop as much as you want. he parks his car, opens your door, and walks inside the mall holding your smaller hand with pride.

you walk to a couple of stores with jungkook and browse a lot more at h&m than any other store. asking questions like:

“do you think this is cute?”

“what kind of shoes should i wear with this?”

when you don’t find anything at h&m, you drag jungkook to another favorite store of yours but you don’t find anything there either. you drag him to two more clothing stores and finally, you find a couple of dresses and outfits to wear for alina’s baby shower.

Immortal modern Reader covers Rhaena with her Red cloak and takes her away to her chambers. Immortal Modern Reader’s chambers are the safe place for Maegor’s wives, especially for Rhaena and her girls. Aerea and Rhaella mostly stayed there in Reader’s chambers, because they felt safe. When Rhaella was sent to the Oldtown, Aerea always spend time in Reader’s chambers so she won’t be alone and because she was afraid of Maegor and Tyanna of the Tower.

This is dark, but it also shows just how protective Immortal Y/N is and how much it hurts her to see what Maegor has become.

For Immortal Modern Reader that scene between Maegor and Rhaena reminds her a memory of Daenys being assaulted by two Valyrians, which adds her anger towards Maegor. Maegor’s behaviour reminds her of two Valyrians, who were responsible for Reader’s pain and suffering and Daenys’s tears.

Poor reader. She's definitely frustrated with Maegor. Certainly this scene reminds her of the argument between Daenaerys and two Valyrian men. The reader does not hate Maegor. She just doesn't find the evil she does right. Aerea is definitely like the reader's pet cat. She always stays with the reader because she is afraid of Maegor and Tyanna. Maybe Maegor takes her last breath in the reader's arms. The reader has to witness the baby she raised now die in his arms. The only family that will be with Maegor when he takes her last breath is the reader.

Would Maegor try to take the reader as her wife?

Maybe the reader will agree to become the third dark bride to save Rhaenan. Miraculously, she gives birth to one or two healthy babies.

The Blessing of No Longer Relasping

Today I woke up and everything was going fine until my morning was ruined because I couldn't find my key on my purse which is where I always put it. This pissed me completely off for 3 main reasons:

1. I hate hearing my mom fuss and give me the irresponsibility speech

2. I ALWAYS am 99.9% aware of where my things are and if not then it's placed in the last place I know I put it at which I didn't see it at

3. My siblings are the reason I know my key wasn't there

How my set my personal belongings I try putting it in a way where it can't be touched, unfourtanetly my siblings always find a way to ruin that which is why I've been dying for my own fucking room. This weekend they had continuously kept dropping mythings and at some point I got tired of it and told them they need to pick up my things themselves, this alone pissed me off even more because when I checked my things stuff was still on the floor that was for me. As I was trying to find my key this morning mind you I have to be at school at a certain time as well I couldn't even find it and when I asked my siblings to help me because I know in my gut they're the reason why it wasn't there, for one they were barely looking and secondly they sat up there looking in the places I knew it wasn't at..(my little sister for example sees me looking in my purse and sits up there walk towards me trying to look in my purse to see if it's there I MEAN WTF BRO😑🤬)

So now I'm sitting in class trying to figure out how I'm about to tell my mom I don't have my key without telling her and play it off. Honestly this whole thing upsets me and really sets me off causing me stress. I had came to school ans my thoughts were pretty rampant but after a long while eventually I calm down...well at least my thoughts weren't so rampant. Normally I would've tried doing something to harm myself or fill my mind up with the many MANY ways I would've wanted to either get revenge or harm myself or 0verd0se of dr*gs just to feel better especially because I'm holding back a ton of tears right now. This is sensitive and so stressful for me because I do have OCD and I'm prone to high levels of stress especially especially when I become compulsive.

This time around I didn't do anything out of character. I didn't plunge myself up in a dark place and drown myself in my own rage and impulse shoving myself down with anything harmful i could find just to feel better like I normally would've done. The worst part is with all this I was gonna blame myself for even allowing this entire situation to happen this way. I say all this to say to anyone who does have issues with relapsing and going back to there old self h4rming tendencies that it is ok...you don't have to be a slave to your darker traits. It's a blessing I didn't drown myself in my compulsive nature and self aimed harm. Just like for those who have been going strong on sobriety and are recovering from your own self h4rm tendencies I want you to know I'm so proud of you..that's something I wish I could hear in times like this where the world we live in currently quite literally anything could trigger me and people like me.

To those who are still here holding strong just know we both made it this far and we're gonna make it even farther..to those who are on their verge of end and feel they are ready to clock out and unsubcribe from what feels like hell right now...I cant control your choices and decisions but if you have any little feeling left at all in you please understand that you don't have to be a slave to yourself anymore. I know you wanna let it all go and not deal with any of these things anymore, but know there is always a choice even when you can't see them. You always have a choice to finally take control even if it seems like you can't. Take it from me when I say that it is out of our control to see how others will do us and the circumstances we go through but it is in our control how we handle them and how we choose to let them affect us. To those who feel like no one ever listens know that you're always being heard..from someone much higher than any of us, who you believe that to be is your choice. There's a reason you're still here even if you can't see it yet or even understand, you're not gonna understand now but you will one day which makes this all the more valuable.

i grew up with no real friends and then moved schools in third grade. i met a girl, and she was angry and an outcast and had fewer manners than i did. we became friends

we were kids, but suffice to say our friendship was toxic. whatever, i loved her- like, actually loved her, so i confessed to her. long involved love triangle between twelve year olds, we dated. then we didn't. but we were super close and did everything together and knew everything abt each other, also she lived on my road so we spent every day together. also, she would hit me and force me to be "the man" and emotionally abuse me, but i digress

ANYWAY she was my best friend forever. she moved out of state when we were 16 (i was already with my ex) but wr talked every day. I thought she seemed better. didn't blow up at me anymore.

soooo me and my abusive ex get abused by my mom LOL, so we move out when I'm 19 and he's 26, and!! my best friend moved in with us all the way from out of state!!

yeah, they had an affair. it was long and painful and drawn out. she helped him r@pe me on multiple occasions, and she guilted me into drinking a lot of alcohol with her for days at a time. i don't remember a lot of it. we were poor and at one point during the winter, we couldn't pay for oil, so we were without heat. we slept in a fucking pile on the living room floor together and she threw a FIT when I suggested I sleep in the middle. they fucked next to me while I was asleep and he forced me to do the same to her

anyway, then covid hit. she moved back out of state with her parents, and me and the ex moved to his parents' house. They continued to have an affair over phone even after I thought we both cut her off

One day he left for work, and then when it was around the time he'd be home, I got a long ass text about how he wasn't in the state anymore LOL

Welcome to another episode of The Wrongest, yet again!

Right, so Nobara’s story was squeezed in just a few minutes before Mahito’s CT kicked in, huh? What am I supposed to say now? I guess we’re lucky Nanami Nation; at least our guy had more screen time than many, judging by how quickly Gege proceeds to finish off characters… 😬

As for those of you that still wait for her after a whole year (yeah some of your posts still find their way to my dash… use that shitty spoilers tag for crying out loud! 🙄) just forget about it already! You can’t save someone that had their brains blown away. Her eyeball was literally flying off and rolling on the fucking floor! That was gruesome no matter how you look at it. It made my skin crawl… Brrr I honestly don’t even want to think what poor Yuuji had to witness… and right after Nanamin no less…. 🥺

But wow! Nobara really was wild as a kid, that was funny to watch. It felt a little less lonesome that she had a friend during her childhood, other than Saori who was older and driven out. It was surprising that Fumi was also someone that had moved in to the village as well, but I suppose Nobara wouldn’t be making friends easily with the locals anyway. You know them and they know you too well to really get along in such small and secluded places. That example with the old lady, Fumi spoke about? Yeah… that was fucking on point.

The fact that her story was told through her friend’s point of view had me question the reasons as to why Gege did that. Perhaps because unlike Nanami, she had someone she shared her life with? I hope so. There were at least two people Nobara cared enough for, that were thinking of her. That in my book is really important. It means they all shared some kind of love— a friendship.

It made the fact that her grandmother was against her wishes to leave the village all the more painful, as if she was afraid of what might happen to her. Could she know? I mean she should know, about how dangerous fighting curses are. But does she know about the school? How the school works, I mean. Could it be she was a student at Jujutsu Tech herself? That would explain why they had such an awful fight over it, that caused Nobara to delay her transfer… 🧐

And then… the depiction of the seats Nobara had talked about in season 1. It was so heartwarming that Gojo and the kids were sitting on sofas. Sofas are heavy. You can’t easily move them. It just goes to show how deeply rooted are the feelings she has for them. It’s so fundamental, I can’t stress this enough. Even Fumi was sitting on an armchair before she was thought of as her younger self when Nobara first met her. She had grown to be just that important to her… 🥺

What I hate the most though, is the fact that everyone are far more knowledgable on jujutsu than Yuuji. He didn’t even realised that Mahito had a double. He’s so painfully clueless, just like we are! My boy saw that Nobara’s technique was activated on Mahito but he didn’t realised how it worked on him! The thought that there should be a portion of his soul at someplace else where Nobara was fighting with it, didn’t even crossed his mind!!! My boy is in for such huge pain if nobody decides to explain to him some fucking basic things!!! PLEASE!!! 🤬

But Nobara was onto Mahito quite quickly, and I hate that?! She would’ve been such a powerful sorcerer were she to survive. Grrr 😡

Both Gege and MAPPA were mean to Nobara-chan…

DC Vs. Vampires #1-12 Final Thoughts

DC vs. Vampires concluded this week. It barely had Cass in it (a shadowy cameo). 

 So I guess she lived? 

Regardless I'm gonna talk about the series as a whole. What I liked about it and what I didn't.

First off I'm not gonna be posting pics of the issue or the main series for this finale.

  Why?

Well, the main artist of the series turned out to have done some questionable things when #7 hit (and hasn't addressed them or apologized for it).

I'll fully confess I highly enjoyed #1-6 (even with the art), along with DC vs. Vampires: All-Out War #1-6 (a few of the secondary stories too) for the sheer absurdity factor. Not to mention hey Mary Marvel had a really good subplot going throughout this series.

But then the fill-ins (Hunter and forgot about the Harley one lol) occurred. Damian's wasn't too bad but it felt like a really missed opportunity to showcase how he was able to fight the vampirism while everyone else succumbed to it. Also I hated the shock deaths in it (and J’onn being turned into a vampire off panel).

We see it teased in #4 with John Constantine interrogating the vampire Zee. Like we get hints that the memories are there. But the drive to "thirst" is what breaks most (save apparently Kate/Damian). Heck, it was interesting to see that being a vampire brings a bit of clarity (Jean-Paul Valley) hence the urge to be one again.

I think that's when the "ball" was dropped on this comic for me. The ideas around it are more interesting than the actual main plot. Characters you want to follow are barely followed up on, for me the biggest crime for the main series would be Jayna.

It just feels wrong that the character barely gets any closure and she's reduced to a background character in #12. With all the build-up from #1-6, this is what we get? I think the only thing more disappointing...

Is Babs as a lead character.

I get it though, ever since #2 Dick was targeting her. But the payoff this issue felt so meh.

Dick tries to "reason" with Babs. Why he did do what he did when he turned. But really he wanted to send her lewd dreams of banging Starfire?! 🙃🙃🙃

Look I get it. Vampirism has this whole thing subtextual angle on sexuality.  That Dick/Babs relationship is the bridge to that.

Dick explains himself and Babs' "crumbles".

Her entire plan was to become the Vampire Queen? Then use Harley to kill Dick? Seriously?!

However, my issue is again the "payoff". Why didn't we get a panel of Dick biting Babs? We get the tease and next panel she's on the floor. Why are we that tame nowadays?

Literally, this is what the series has been leading up to and we don't even get that? Just her being turned? COME ON! We literally got in #6

And we the reader know humanity is far from "done" but I guess that's the point. Babs is "lying" to her vampire minions.

Speaking of which... yeah this second act was pretty bland in the main series. Even with the retreaded "evil" Superman trope in All-Out War, at least there was a villain to watch and act around.

Dick was barely in the main series after #6. We didn't get a full appearance of him until THIS ISSUE. That's kind of why everyone enjoyed vampire Hal. He was a force in #1-6. He was active in making people vampires.

  Here, we get the minions doing that but it just feels so-- hollow. Likewise, the "final" line protecting Dick is easily taken out (R.I.P. Duke) and honestly, that's another mess too.

Literally, we have Duke being jumped about to be bitten. The panel where he's jumped establishes Damian there. Along with Frankenstein (who exited with Cass last issue). But zero Steph?

Then Duke goes boom and for a moment I thought he accidentally killed Damian (until he showed up later on in the series). This whole issue was a clustered mess.

It doesn't help either that the series doesn't have an ending. Instead, a tease for more.  I HATE IT when the media does that. Never giving us a concrete ending instead teasing for another story.🤬🤬

It just goes to show me why I love DCeased and why this is leagues better than that.  Besides of course doing a better job with Cass. 😋

DCeased, DCeased: Unkillables, DCeased: Hope at World's End, and the current all feel like stories you can pick up and read in one sitting.  There are teases for sequels but never once does it override the main story.

Not to mention balances the cast perfectly throughout.

If you read all of them? It makes the experience all the better.  

DC vs. Vampires? It barely feels like that. We got sidequest stories of Steph, Ivy, and Black Lightning that sort of filled in some gaps but otherwise had little story beats.

DC vs Vampires: All-Out War? The end tied into #12 (and technically #11 too). But it feels like one massive reading. Not something like DCeased where you can pick any and just enjoy it for what it is.

Which brings me to Cass.  She appears in #2-6, and we get cameos everywhere else. The fact that we get confirmation Frankenstein and Vampire Grodd survived with a silhouette of Cass.

Is some straight garbage.

Show clearer Cass survived the attack last issue. Literally, you have Frankenstein there. Why not Cass?! Again, she literally was in issues before. Where's the presence of mind for her?

Yeah DC vs. Vampires #6-12 was a MASSIVE disappointment. The dropoff in a targeted ending for this was bad. Maybe it did? But I guess there's some blood to drain in the series.

I just feel utterly disappointed in the series as a whole. Anything #1-6 gave us and whatever side stories. The end result feels so lacking. So ironically without any actual bite.

I do think there's a way to save this "universe". The best way? Ironically? No sequel main series. Instead?

Focus on Cass or Mera. 

The stuff behind the scenes. of the main. Give us that filler that's needed. Add stuff from the previous series. That's it. Either character can do that. Cass showcase how utterly dreary Gotham became (or her mood set after Dick killing most of the family in #6. Maybe even showcase her and vampire Damian/Kate interacting). 

For Mera? Show how she became the new Black Manta and we find out if she survived her fight with Arthur?! 

Maybe this series as a whole could be saved. If not. Yeah, put a stake in it.
