Thank You For Waiting; Kim Jaejoong

You heard the sound of the door open and close, signaling the return of your boyfriend of three years. Jaejoong had been very busy with his new variety show and you could see the shift in his personality. He’s quite the workaholic, but he always loved his busy schedules. Though you missed him when he was busy, he would make the effort to text you throughout the day, just to check in. But lately, due to the time apart, it had become a bit harder to make time for each other. You both had work and you didn’t live together which made it hard to see each other as often as you would’ve liked. 

Tonight was the first night in weeks that he’d be staying over at your place, which both of you were happy about and had been looking forward to. You had planned a whole night of fun. Well, at least what the two of you thought qualified as fun. You had gone to the grocery store earlier that day, and had gotten a bunch of different ingredients to cook. Jaejoong loved to cook, especially for you. So you had prepared everything for him, so he didn’t have to do any kitchen prep. You knew that he’d appreciate it. You also had a bunch of TV shows to catch up on, but that wasn’t as important. Just as you had finished setting everything up, you heard the door open and close behind you. You turned around, greeted by the sight of your boyfriend calling your name. 

“Y/n? Are you here”, Jaejoong called out, removing his shoes and jacket in the process. 

“I’m in the kitchen!”, you said as you quickly grabbed the lighter and lit the candle that was placed in the middle of the table. You had the lights dimmed, trying to create a certain type of ‘ambience’. You could hear his light footsteps as he walked down the hallway towards the dining area of your apartment. When he finally made it to the entryway, he let out a laugh as he looked around, “Wow”, he said. 

I guess you had impressed him, you thought to yourself. 

“What’s all this? I thought we were just going to continue the show we were watching?”, he said, looking around the kitchen, noticing the prepped ingredients and dimmed lights. He moved to stand behind you and enveloped you in a hug. What you always missed the most when you didn’t see Jaejoong for long periods of time were his hugs. You loved how safe he made you feel. Maybe it was his tall height, or how strong he was. But you never felt unsafe with him, his old stage name was very fitting at times. 

“I don’t think you’ll ever understand how much I’ve missed you”, you said as you turned around so your face was pressed against his chest. 

He let out a deep sigh,”I’m sorry I got so busy, I couldn’t stop thinking about you”, he said before taking your face in his hands and giving you a loving kiss. “Thank you for waiting for me”, he whispered.

Not me going through all the comments on Jess Karp's latest YouTube video seeing if anyone else noticed the chemistry between her and Kiptoe (aka Matt). My hubby hasn't really been watching the Artists In Wonderland series but did catch like 85% of Jess's episode. At the end he was like "I don't know who she wanted to bang more...Kiptoe or Doke." I laughed and responded "So it wasn't just me!" During Doke's episode earlier in the series I did get slight vibes between him and Jess; however my opinion quickly shifted to her and Kiptoe.

I know the landscape as shifted in fandom and shipping real life people is looked down more than ever and yes I know it's weird...but sometimes I can't help myself! The way I look at it (at least the way I do it) is it's just a little fun and makes me happy. Sometimes even triggers my creativity in writing. I don't message the people involved, I don't comments things about the ship where they can see, etc. It's when others do it makes me uncomfortable. At the end of the day if real life shipping makes you uneasy simply change the names of those involved and a few details in your head and pretend it's completely fictional.

Anyways as I said at the start of this I did read through the comments, still makes me uneasy especially since Jess is very active in her comment section interacting, yet another part of me was loving that was/is happening. he would read you a chapter from a book that he managed to finish a few days ago to make sure your slumber was worthwhile

once he closes the book, he will slowly turn to look at you if you were still asleep and might even put his head on yours to join in on the sleeping

it’s much more fun when you have other people doing the same thing as you, right?

haures would be flustered as hell every time you slept on his shoulder

this man would just sit there stiff as a board not knowing what to do. The only thing he definitely knows what to do is not to wake you up, so staying still should do it.

with you sleeping on his shoulder so peacefully while Haures blushing so hard, he might as well explode

it might honestly take a while for him to get used to this but he’s getting there. This is what he calls “special training”, everything should end well, right?

for this “special training” , Haures would try his best to comfort you every time you slept on his shoulder. He would hesitantly hold your hand, pat your head gently, even try to sing a lullaby for you.

there were even times where the other second floor butlers saw him concentrate so hard, they even giggled at him. Maybe this “special training” just ended up being a source of blackmail towards Haures

in the end, this man will end up sleeping himself because he over exhausted himself into overcoming this flusteredness. Well, it sure worked well in the end, no?

Asahi comes home to find you snoring on the couch, the credits for your favorite show blaring on the TV as you slumber. Originally, he’d planned to take the day off and spend time with you, but the office had called with a last minute crisis about one of the garments for his fall collection. He had no choice but to drive downtown for a last minute conference and settle for a lazy afternoon with you instead. Thankfully, the issue had been a much easier fix than he’d anticipated, it was only a small error in the digital stitching pattern that had been sent to the manufacturer.

You were sprawled out across the grey sectional, limbs haphazardly strewn around you. Asahi smiles fondly, remembering the days right after the two of you had moved into your shared apartment. You’d insisted on making a trip to a nearby IKEA, muttering things about a ‘sleek aesthetic’ and ‘prettying up’ your new home. The couch was one of the pieces you argued about the most. Asahi wanted a few homey armchairs whereas you had fought for the sleek modern couch that occupied your living room. He was the one who insisted on adding the collection of decorative pillows, that were now scattered on the floor, to add a touch of warmth to your new place.

The AC is on full blast, so he throws a blanket over you. You’d begged him to help you knit the chunky thing. Asahiiiii, you’d whined while shoving a giant knitting needle towards him, it’ll be fun, and they’re super comfy. He’d begrudgingly accepted your offer, and two of you had spent an afternoon laughing your asses off while trying to avoid injury by giant wooden stick. You probably haven’t eaten lunch yet, so he plods over to the fridge. The kitchen is filled with little trinkets you’ve saved over the years of your relationship: tacky mugs from past road trips and magnets that hold up pictures, tickets, stubs and receipts from previous dates.

It’s almost impossible to imagine the apartment without your little touches. Anyone could point to a random piece of furniture in the apartment and Asahi would be able to tell them a story about you. About your silliness, your sweetness, your sadness, your anger, or your happiness. Every little thing in your shared home is imbued with part of your soul and he loves every little reminder that you’re here and his. It doesn’t come as a surprise when you drowsily stumble into the kitchen, wrapping your arms around his wasit and nuzzling his back. “What’s cooking, good lookin’,” you yawn, trying to peek over his shoulders.

“Do you want rice or noodles y/n?” he responds, turning to ruffle your hair.

“Mmmm, whatever you want ‘Sahi!” you reply, tugging at his sleeve. He obliges, bending down so you can press a sweet kiss to his cheek.

you two met when your boyfriend ben asked you to come with him during the shooting of bohemian rhapsody, and she was just so sweet that you had to be friends with her

when you did, you two instantly became the best of friends

on a friday morning it was around 9 am, and you wake up without ben by your side

you sit up and you get surprised when you see your boyfriend, he looks like he’s going out

“mornin’ love. i’ll be goin’ out, i have shooting today. i bought breakfast for you, it’s on the table.”

you’d smile at him, and he walks closer to kiss your lips.

Hey guys! So, things are going to be a little different for a while in terms of my posting schedule. Classes have started back and I’ll do my best to post everyday, but I don’t have a computer right now.      The short span of time between Christmas and New Year’s Eve has always felt like a little bit of a reprieve to you, but this year was the exception. BamBam and Jackson decided that they wanted to throw a New Year’s Eve party and are forcing to Jinyoung to attend. Jinyoung, being the spiteful human that he is, is forcing everyone else to attend since he has to go. It’s a smart move on their part because it guarantees that rest of the members will attend, but you couldn’t help being annoyed with them. You and Jaebum were not party people and neither of you were particularly enthusiastic about this party.      “Do we really have to go to this party tomorrow?” You knew it was useless to ask. You were the leader’s girlfriend so there was no way that you could miss. The two of you were enjoying a quiet evening before the chaos sure to ensue tomorrow. You were curled up next to Jaebum on the couch with a book while he mindlessly flipped through the television channels, trying to find something to watch. He wasn’t having much luck so far.      “Do you really want to bring the wrath of Jinyoung on us both?” Jaebum teases, raising his eyebrows at you. You just let out a sigh.      “I don’t mind spending time with the guys, but I would much rather spend a quiet evening here with you then go to some stupid party,” You mutter, tucking your cold feet under Jaebum’s thigh.      “Well, what if we just have our own quiet evening tonight and pretend that the party isn’t happening tomorrow? Let’s just do something fun with just us two?” He suggests, sitting down the remote. You pretend to think about it, but you know that you’re already on board with the whole idea.      You work on making a simple dinner while Jaebum sets up his game system and grabs a few movies for the two of you to choose from. You quickly plate your simple meal and carry it over to the small palate that he made on the floor. The two of you eat while watching a movie before diving into some two player games. Jaebum had a mile wide competitive streak and he was not happy about the fact that he was losing. After you had won yet another round, he was done. “It’s not fair,” Jaebum pouts like a child, hoping to convince to feel bad for continuously winning. You didn’t.      “It’s not my fault I’m better then you,” You grin at him, continuing to tease him.      “You’re lucky you’re cute,” He looks downcast, but then he lifts up a pillow and quickly smacks you with it, catching you off guard. It soon becomes an all-out brawl ending with Jaebum tackling you into a pile of pillows. Your eyes widen in surprise as Jaebum leans down, quickly pecking you on the lips, causing you to blush. You couldn’t help feeling surprised and a little bit lighter at the small kiss.
