I can already tell that Runt is gonna devastate me. Grizz has always been good at nailing true devastation within his characters, especially when it’s due to who they are in comparison to the people around them. With Dakota it was sad to watch him aspire to be heroes with people who didn’t want to. It was heartbreaking to see him and how hard he’s had to grow up despite also being the most kid like out of them all. To have so much youth despite losing it all. To watch him interact with everyone, (his aunt in particular) making sure they were okay and safe, and to treat the villains they way he did because he’s a HERO. Dakota is depressing because he’s just a kid. He’s a kid in an adult world. He’s clinging on to what childhood he has left. It’s not much.

Rumi is devestating to watch because you are actively watching someone obsess over something that leads to the death of a loved one. A person who loses everything because of their dependency on false hope. You watch as the confidence their way through killing gods, “dealing” with Thanatos, falling in love with Peter, and then you watch everything they’ve come to know CRASH.

Arthur. You fucking travesty. This man’s entire reason for being heartbreaking is who he’s had to be because of the people he knows/knew. All this angst, these years of build up has turned him into the monster he fought. He is so devestating because he wants to change everything he is and sees.

Runt. My darling. I have only known her for a day and I love her with all my damn heart. She is just a kid and it’s DEVASTATING. I can already tell she’s going to make me sad, and that grizz will excel at making me sob my eyes out. I’m so excited.
