Since Hopes couldn't be assed to give Khalid a last name (referring to Claude like that because of, well, the lack-of-a-last-name issue I have lol), or give his father a name at all, do you have any headcanons as to what Khalid's full name/his father's name is?
I wouldn't say I have anything concrete, but I can list off some names I've considered with their basic name meaning (obviously the name meaning can vary a bit depending on the source so I tried to use more than one for some). :o
For Claude:
Rahal (person who embarks on a journey)
Hussain (handsome/beautiful)
Irfan (knowledgeable person, constant learner and/or awareness)
Rashid (truth, person who points others to the truth or in the right direction)
Rahim (forgiving/merciful)
Harith (bc it means lion and I'm gonna ship at unstoppable levels)
For Claude's dad:
Malik (king)
Qadir (almighty, powerful)
Nasser (victory)
Jalal (is similar to Qadir. can mean mighty, glory, power, superiority )
I actually had the idea of Rahim because of Claude's conversations with Rhea near the end of VW. I felt like he was very forgiving, understanding and sympathetic to her, but also merciful in that he used to think she wasn't fit to lead and once considered what the world would look like if she had died. When he heard her story, I think he would have understood her fears and realized they weren't that different - that she hid her identity and lied just to stay alive. She and her kin were seen as monsters for not being human, and I think he would understand that. The mercy from him would be hearing her story without judgement and not treating her as a monster despite knowing the truth. I think at that moment she expected to be judged and looked at with disgust, but he would understand what she went through. In a way, he is the mercy by being the person she had to tell her story to, because most other people might not have understood or looked at her as just another person after that.
Really, I think Rashid is my favorite because it aligns so perfectly with his character and goals. He's a truth seeker and wants to show that truth to others, leading them in the right direction and trying to help others from being left out. He wants everyone to be together like it's nothing special, in his own words, and the only way to do that is to show everyone the truth - that Fodlan's people are not cowards and that Almyra's people are not just horrible brutes. He aims to lead them down the right path and to stop the pointless hatred and warring.
For his father, I picked out Malik because it's a simple one with a very obvious meaning and I'm slightly bias because it reminds me of Tales of Graces because it has a Malik.
I've always considered that his name would mean something strong sounding considering what we know about him and what we know about Claude and Shahid. I think of all of them, Qadir is probably my favorite for him. I think in a way "almighty" would fit him because he's not just the king of Almyra, but he used to be able to get into Fodlan multiple times and get back out alive. To be able to go get into enemy lands as a kid, because like, you know how little kids can be, thinking it's so cool to do something the adults won't even do, I think would eventually seen by others as something to respect since he didn't just go to Fodlan and get killed. He repeatedly got back home and for a kid, that's pretty impressive.
Since I've never had reason to actually use these names like in fics or anything, I haven't really settled on anything for certain. Maybe someday I'll use them though!

Gangubai Kathiawadi
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, "Gangubai Kathiawadi" is an Indian film in the Hindi language. The film, which stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role, is about Ganga Harjivandas, also known as Gangubai Kathiawadi, a sex worker who climbs the social ladder and ends up as a mafia don. Later, despite negotiating the perils of leading a criminal life, Gangubai utilizes her influence to elevate the voices of women and orphans. Gangubai is portrayed in the gripping and provocative film as a formidable woman from history, taking place in Mumbai (then known as Bombay) in the late 20th century.
The story of "Gangubai Kathiawadi" is based on a true story. The movie is a loose version of the book "Mafia Queens of Mumbai" by renowned Indian author and journalist Hussain Zaidi, namely the chapter "The Matriarch of Kamathipura," which is based on the life of the movie's lead character. Born in 1939 in Kathiawar, British India (now known as Gujarat), Gangubai Harjivandas, popularly known as Gangubai Kathiawadi, was raised in this region. While Gangubai's early life is largely unknown, Zaidi gives some context in his work. Despite coming from a wealthy background, Gangubai always wanted to be an actor. So, when she was about sixteen, she and her lover, Ramnik Lal, left their house.
She spoke with legislators in an attempt to secure the right to education for orphans and women, as well as to raise their standard of living. Additionally, Gangubai was reportedly involved in illegal operations including drug sales, however, this has not been verified. Gangubai passed away in 2008, but sculptures and pictures at Kamathipura bear witness to her legacy.
The early years of Gangubai and how she rose to prominence in the Kamathipura community are faithfully portrayed in the movie. Her familial bond with Karim Lala (Rahim Lala) is authentic in the film. In the movie, Gangubai meets Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the Indian prime minister of the time, while giving a speech in Azaad Maidan. Both instances are well-known, feature prominently in the story, and are also referenced in Zaidi's book.
But because there aren't many real accounts or records of Gangubai's life, Zaidi's book is the main source of information used in the movie. Gangubai adopted a number of orphans despite not having biological children of her own. These Gangubai family members filed a lawsuit against the movie's portrayal of her as a pimp and sex worker. Even still, Gangubai's status as a social worker and community leader is maintained throughout the film.

"Heroine of the Hijack."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Neerja Bhanot was born on 7 September 1963 in Chandigarh, India, and brought up in Bombay (now, Mumbai). After completing her graduation she was spotted for a modeling assignment which kick-started her modeling career. In 1985 she married a man named Naresh Mishra and went to the gulf to join him and set up a home together. But her husband inflicted domestic abuse upon her, she was starved of both food and finance to the point where she had to borrow money from her husband to call home. After just two months, she came back to Bombay to honor a modeling contract and refused to go back to her husband to endure any more of his abuse. In 1985 itself she applied for a flight attendant job in Pan Am and was among the 80 amidst 10,000 applicants who were selected. After selection, she went for training in Miami, Florida, and returned as Purser.
In the wee hours of 5th September 1985, just a day before her 23rd birthday she left home to attend her cabin crew duty in the Pan Am flight 73. She was appointed for the first time as the senior flight purser on the flight which was destined to fly from Mumbai to the United States via Karachi and Frankfurt. The aircraft was carrying 394 passengers, 9 infants, an All American flight crew, and 13 Indian flight attendants. The initial flight from Mumbai to Karachi was smooth. It was just before 06:00 and Pan Am Flight 73 was on a stopover in Karachi from Mumbai, scheduled to continue to Frankfurt, en route to New York.
But suddenly there was a commotion outside, four gunmen had sped onto the tarmac in a van disguised as airport security. One of them was carrying a briefcase brimmed with grenades. Just moments before gunfire was heard outside the aircraft, they had killed two Kuwait airlines staff members as they sped towards the airplane. The men entered the Boeing 747, firing shots into the air. A flight attendant named Nupoor saw them shoot near the legs of a colleague who was telling her to close the door but the terrorists stormed in before anyone could do so. The terrorists were planning on flying to Cyprus to free Palestinian prisoners there. They were members of the Abu Nidal organization a Palestinian terrorist organization backed by Libya; who were targeting Americans and American assets. As the seniormost cabin crew Bhanot who was out of sight of the gunmen took charge of the moment as soon as the hijackers boarded the plane, she relayed the hijack code to the three-member cabin crew who fled from the aircraft immediately through an overhead hatch. The pilots leaving the plane meant the aircraft was immobilized, preventing an incident similar to 9/11. The bravery which Bhanot displayed in alerting the pilots was highly commended.
The four hijackers were identified as Zayd Hassan Abd al-Latif Safarini (Safarini, alias "Mustafa"), Jamal Saeed Abdul Rahim (alias "Fahad"), Muhammad Abdullah Khalil Hussain ar-Rahayyal ("Khalil"), and Muhammad Ahmed Al-Munawar (alias "Mansoor"). After about 40 minutes since forcefully boarding the aircraft, the four men were able to bring all the passengers under their grasp.
When the lead hijacker Safarini realized the pilots had escaped, he was forced to negotiate with authorities. At about 10:00 Safarini got hold of Rajesh Kumar, a 29-year-old Indian-American from California, who was recently declared an American. He was dragged up in front of the doorway of the aircraft and was made to kneel while holding his hands behind his back. Safarini negotiated with Viraf Daroga, the head of Pan Am's Pakistan Operation. He demanded that if the crew wasn't sent back to the aircraft within 30 minutes, he would shoot Rajesh. After some time he got impatient and grabbed Rajesh and shot him in the head. Safarini then threw the body outside the airplane. The personnel who collected Rajesh Kumar's body said he was still breathing but was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital. The terrorists then ordered Bhanot to collect the passports of all the passengers so that they could identify more Americans on board. She and the other attendants under her charge hid the passports of the remaining 43 Americans on board, some under seats and the rest down a rubbish chute so that the hijackers could not differentiate between American and non-American passengers.
Eventually, the terrorists threatened the authorities demanding a pilot which if not obeyed, they would shoot a passenger every 15 minutes. During these unstable moments, the flight attendants came together, some tried to comfort the passengers around them, while the others took round sandwiches and Neerja distributed water.
The air conditioning and lights which were on and smoothly functioning all day started dwindling as evening set in, the lights got dimmer and the cool air stopped circulating. When the lights went out altogether, the terrorists knew there was no hope left of getting to Cyprus. After the 17 hour ordeal, atlast they positioned themselves on each side of the alley, let out a war cry and started an open fire. They also began throwing grenades, but due to the darkness they weren't able to pull the pins all the way through resulting in only some small explosions. Amidst this havoc, three exits were opened, one of them by Neerja and though she could have left the aircraft then and there, she didn't. Instead, she was seen helping the passengers to the emergency exits amidst the gunfire. She was shot in the abdomen, neck, and shoulder. Yet up till the very last moment, she was seen shielding three unaccompanied children when Safarini got hold of her and shot her dead, point-blank. At last, after continuous firing, the terrorists ran out of ammunition. Taking the chance, Pakistan Army's Special Services Group stormed in and seized the hijackers. Out of the 44 Americans, 42 were saved owing to Neerja's bravery.
In the aftermath, on July 6, 1988, the terrorists were convicted in Pakistan for the hijacking and murders and sentenced to death. The sentences were later commuted to life in prison. At the plea proceeding, Safarini admitted that he and his fellow hijackers committed the offenses as members of the Abu Nidal Organization, a designated terrorist organization.
Bhanot’s courage led to a slew of posthumous awards, including the Ashoka Chakra, India’s highest peacetime gallantry award. She was the first woman and youngest recipient of the award. To commemorate her, Bhanot’s family used the insurance funds from Pan Am to set up the Neerja Bhanot Pan Am Trust. The trust recognizes Indian women who overcome their difficult situations and rise up, and airline crew members who go beyond the call of duty. Among other honors, Bhanot was awarded the Tamgha-e-Insaniyat award by Pakistan, and in 2004, the Indian Postal Service released a stamp in her memory. In 2016, a film was made in her honor named "Neerja" which won the National award for the best feature film. Moreover, one of the children she saved that day now works in a major airline and considers Neerja his inspiration.

Massachusetts: Jihadi Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison for Conspiring to Behead U.S. Blogger on Behalf of Islam(ic State)
The reality it, the plot was on the behalf of Islam, which prohibits blasphemy. ISIS is a convenient tool.
Tumblr media
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tuesday, September 29, 2020
Massachusetts Man Re-Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison for Conspiring to Murder U.S. Citizens, Including Police, on Behalf of ISIS
BOSTON – An Everett man was re-sentenced yesterday to 30 years in prison for conspiring to murder U.S. citizens, including police officers, on behalf of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
David Daoud Wright, a/k/a Dawud Sharif Abdul Khaliq, a/k/a Dawud Sharif Abdul Khaliq, 31, of Everett, Mass., was re-sentenced by U.S. Senior District Court Judge Douglas P. Woodlock to 30 years in prison and a lifetime of supervised release. In December 2017, Wright was sentenced to 28 years in prison after a federal jury convicted him of conspiracy to provide material support to ISIS, conspiracy to commit acts of terrorism transcending national boundaries, conspiracy to obstruct justice and obstruction of justice. In August 2019, the First Circuit Court of Appeals vacated count one (conspiracy to provide material support to ISIS) and affirmed the other counts. The case was remanded to the district court for re-sentencing, which took place yesterday.
“Mr. Wright is a homegrown terrorist who plotted to kill innocent Americans on behalf of ISIS, including specifically targeting police officers,” said United States Attorney Andrew E. Lelling. “He radicalized himself and others, pledged allegiance to a terrorist organization, and conspired with his now-deceased uncle to kill police officers with a combat knife. This case is a reminder of the persistent terrorism threat to our citizens and law enforcement officers.”
“ISIS soldier David Wright betrayed his country and forfeited his freedom when he conspired with others to attack and murder innocent civilians and police officers in support of a sworn, barbaric enemy of the United States. This sentence ensures they remain worlds apart,” said Joseph R. Bonavolonta, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Boston Division. “Identifying and disrupting terrorist plots, both foreign and domestic, is the FBI’s top priority, and the round-the-clock teamwork of our partners within our Massachusetts Joint Terrorism Task Force saved innocent lives, and kept Wright’s endgame of martyrdom out of reach.”
Beginning in at least February 2015, Wright began discussing ISIS’ call to kill non-believers in the United States with his uncle, Usaamah Abdullah Rahim, and co-defendant Nicholas Alexander Rovinski. Specifically, Wright created a “martyrdom” operation cell in Massachusetts. In April 2015, Wright created a Twitter page for the “Lions of America” and published a document entitled, Internal Conquest, on the internet in which Wright called on Muslims living in the United States to kill their fellow citizens.
Wright also plotted with Rahim and Rovinski to behead U.S. citizens at the direction of ISIS, and identified a New York woman as the first beheading target. Rahim purchased three knives for this plot. In addition, Wright’s ISIS cell was in direct communication with ISIS recruiter and attack facilitator, Junaid Hussain, who provided Rahim with an encrypted document containing details about the intended victim. In August 2015, Hussain was killed in an airstrike in Raqqah, Syria.
In preparation for their attack, Wright conducted extensive research on weapons, knives, machetes, bombing making components and methods to subdue their victims. Wright also conducted research on “what tranquilizer put humans to sleep instantly” and “how to start a secret militia in the United States.”
On June 2, 2015, Wright caused a terrorist attack in Massachusetts and caused his uncle, Rahim, to be killed. Rahim was shot and killed after he attacked law enforcement officers with a large fighting knife in a Roslindale, Mass., parking lot. Two hours before Rahim attacked the police, Wright directed and encouraged Rahim to pursue martyrdom by attacking the “boys in blue.” Within minutes of learning of his uncle’s death from a family member, Wright deleted data from his laptop computer by restoring it to factory settings and deleted call logs on his cellphone that showed that he had spoken to Rahim that morning. Wright also instructed Rahim to destroy his electronic devices before attacking the police officers.
---------------------------------------------
Read more from the intended beheading victim, Pamela Geller, at her website here.
Last month, a federal judge released one of the terrorists involved in this gruesome plot. It was a “compassionate release” in the wake of the COVID-19 panic mongering. Clearly that  judge did not realize the gravity, the seriousness, the implications of freeing someone who plotted a beheading for a cartoon or piece of art that violated Islamic law. And where was the compassion for the intended victim? What if the plotter decides to try again?
But this Judge, Judge Woodstock, gets it.

#42YearsOfAmarAkbarAnthony (27/05/1977)
The film directed & produced by #ManmohanDesai, and written by #KaderKhan. The film stars #VinodKhanna, #AmitabhBachchan, #RishiKapoor, #ShabanaAzmi, #ParveenBabi and #NeetuSingh in the lead roles.
The plot focuses on three brothers who are separated in childhood and adopted by three families of different faiths—Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity. One grows up to be a policeman, another a singer, and the third the owner of a country liquor bar.
The soundtrack album was composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal and the lyrics were written by Anand Bakshi.
The film about religious tolerance became a landmark for Bollywood masala films, building on the masala formula pioneered several years earlier with Nasir Hussain's Yaadon Ki Baarat (1973). Amar Akbar Anthony also had a lasting impact on pop culture, with its catchy songs, one-liners and the character of Anthony Gonsalves played by Amitabh Bachchan. It won several awards at 25th Filmfare Awards including Best Actor, Best Music Director and Best Editing. It was later remade in Tamil as Shankar Salim Simon (1978), in Telugu as Ram Robert Rahim (1980) and in Malayalam as John Jaffer Janardhanan (1982)

Abstract
The causes and incidence of ear infection are different worldwide. The high incidence rate of ear infection is found in Asia Pacific, South Asia and African region. The major cause of ear infection is bacteria, virus and fungi. People with seasonal allergies may have a greater risk of getting ear infections when pollen counts are high. Air pollutants, such as sulphur dioxide (SO2), harm the mucociliary function of the Eustachian tube and increases middle ear mucus secretion. The highest incidence of ear infection occurs between the age of 6-24 month and then decreases with advancing age. Use of cotton buds is a dangerous habit and has a strong association with neurodermatitis and contact dermatitis of the external ear. Ear nose and throat (ENT) infections have been reported among flood victims. The most recent effort to improve middle ear drug delivery has focused on optimizing peptide sequences that are actively transported across the tympanic membrane. To treat ear infection antibiotic therapy is required otherwise may become worse or may lead to deafness. However, when the patient suffering from ear infection comes to physician must consider the wide variety of pathogens including bacteria, fungi and viruses. Severe illness or resistance to drug is caused by inappropriate antibiotic therapy. The ear infection should be treated earlier and properly to avoid further development of infection. The combination therapy is the most efficacious. Adenoidectomy is a procedure to remove the adenoids; these are glands at the back of the nose that help fight infections. However, if they become enlarged due to an infection, they can cause an earache and a build-up of fluid. For the control of ear infection preventative measures are important in limiting the impact of this disease.

Surah ikhlas
1-“Bismillahir Rehmanir Rahim”
Simah means to put a mark of Allah on yourself.(In At-Tawheed, quoting Imam ar-Rida (as) it is stated that when he was asked to explain the bismillah , he said: " When one says "bismillah" [in the name of Allah], he means: I put on myself a simah [mark] of Allah's simahs, which is worship". Asked: "What is simah?" He said: "It is the mark" )
The mark above the body shows this.
2-“Say: He, Allah, is One,”
A straight vertical line that means Oneness.
3- “Allah, the Eternal,"
(The word Samad has such a vast meaning that it cannot be explained here in simple words. Explaining the meaning of it, Imam Hussain(as) wrote:
“..Yes, Allah is 'samad' Who is not from anything and is not in anything or on anything; He is the Creator of everything and all are from Him by His Power; what He has created to perish will perish at His Will, and what He has created to remain will remain in His Knowledge. This is Allah; al-Samad"
A continuous horizontal line to show no start and no end.
4-“He begets not, nor He is begotten.”
A single dot to show He alone is One.
5-“And there is none like unto Him.”
Filled box shows that the whole world is Him. Nothing other than Him and nothing like Him.
He is One with none comparable to Him, without any beginning or end, unlimited by time, space or circumstances. A reality before which all others have no existence. He is the Creator, One, and everything is His creation.
