How do you attach it to the ceiling?

That is the reason why I never decided to sell jumpers. The injuries could be serious if not installed properly and take in consideration the maximum weight the jumper and the springs can take. In my ABDL bedroom, I had to use a stud finder, drill a hole right in the middle of a stud from the ceiling. But since the pressure is enourmous on just one hook and the bouncing weight, the 2×3 was not solid enough and could rip off the stud. I had to add a 2x4 of 7ft long perpendicular sitting on 4 of the studs supporting the ceiling thru the attic. I added a metal platte on top of the 2x4 and pass a 12" long big bolt (800LBS capacity) and lock 2 screws on top of it. To limitate the waving movement of the entire ceiling since it's installed right in the center of the bedroom, I have added a chain to the end of the bolted hook, lock it with 2 more bolts tight and attach the chain to the studs in angle that supports the roof. That way, we tested it heavily and it wont break. The links are heavy duty and there are 2 different sizes of springs attached separately. The ends of the springs are shaped in U and stays tight when stretched to their max. If they were too loose, the bolted links could slip out and the bar could hit the head at a dangerous speed. I had to get the right ones to make sure they are never going to slip out. They were hard to find online since some are too cheap, too weak, too soft, or some wont just bounce at all. The metal bar is technically used to hang deers and moose for hunters. I bought it online and it will never break since it's good up to 800 LBS. The size was just perfect for my jumper project.Everything is made custom to fit the height of the ceiling in my house and the type of material used and I made sure the studs are not humid, damaged, rotten or in any bad condition.If you have an unfinished basement ceiling, it gets much easier to see in what you are drilling and also important to mention, not damaging any existing electrical wires.The ideal is: - 9ft and higher ceilings -Metal H beam with a hoist -unfinished ceiling -suspended ceiling to access the Wood Structure and in good Shape -1st quality heavy duty hardware. Avoid: forens 1x3 or 1x4. It wont work. Any aluminum studs or forens will Not support the bouncing effect. Door frames like the original door bouncers for babies. It will break and there wont be enough room for an adult to actually be able to bounce. Tiles and suspended ceilings, and tracks are not made to support anything but their own structure. Never try to save money for cheap hooks, bolts, screws, chains, links and springs like any dollar store or WalMart ones. I learnt on my own before ending up with a real safe hook for my jumper, although there are several alternative ways to make sure it will hold.This is how I made my own strong hook. If I had a much higher ceiling, I would have considered bungee cord like those trampoline harnesses for kids.I hope this helps.
