#Hunter has a better redemption than Amity does simply because the narrative will make him suffer.

I just don't see Hunter NOT making reparations with the people of TBI - even if Darius gives him an out to go live in the human realm.
Because when Hunter tried to dodge accountability - he was "punished" for it by the narrative.
Flapjack had to die so it'd give Hunter the push he needs to go back to the demon realm. If Flapjack didn't die he would have stayed behind with Vee. He's didn't want to go back not so much because he was enjoying his time in the human realm or didn't have anyone to return to - it was mostly because he was afraid of being recognized.
And he has every right to be afraid because he HAS been recognized out of his Golden Guard uniform. In Eclipse Lake, Eda is able to recognize him by voice despite meeting him only once in Separate Tides - that is how distinct his voice is. In the same episode Kiki is also able to recognize him by his voice. In Clouds Over the Horizon he begged Darius to go with Gus and Willow because he was afraid of other members of the Emperor's Coven recognizing him. In this same episode Kiki, once again, is able to recognize him out of his uniform because of his voice.
It also doesn't help that, ya know, every member of the Emperor's Coven, from the scouts to the covenheads, know what he looks like. So you can't blame the kid for being scared - especially after the Day of Unity where the beloved emperor attempted genocide on an entire race of people. Which Hunter unwittingly helped with by the way. Like... it does not matter that he's a teenager and he didn't know what the Day of Unity actually was - there are people who are going to be angry enough to hurt him, because he's the literal prince of TBI.
But yeah, it's just that when Hunter attempted to dodge accountability - he was punished for it. Not just with Flapjacks death - but even having his new identity taken from him. That's part of the reason why he looks like Caleb. Because whether or not Hunter likes it - he is Belo's brother. He is his family and he's responsible for helping repair the damage both of them caused.
So I just do not see the writers giving Hunter EXACTLY what he wants: which is to live a normal teenage life where he's no longer part of the emperors coven and never has to step in that throne room again. Where he can study wild magic and learn how to carve palismen. Where he can attend Hexside as a regular student and play flyer derby with his friends.
I just don't see him getting exactly what he wants - because the narrative isn't afraid to take things from him if it serves to give Hunter a better future than the one he desires.
