Jeepneys are shared taxis that date back to the American colonial era and are usually abbreviated as “AC.” In the 1930s, these morphed into adapted imported cars with attached carriages that operated as low-cost passenger utility vehicles in Manila. During WWII, most of these vehicles were lost.

  The national phase-out of jeepney could make the condition of jeepney and pandemic drivers worse.
