THE STAYS OF THE PASTORS OF BELE ARE SAVED IN LEDESMA (SALAMANCA)
The church of San Fernando has for decades housed the remains of three witnesses to the birth of Jesus two millennia ago. In Ledesma the remains of, according to popular tradition, the shepherds who witnessed the birth of Jesus two millennia ago are preserved in the Portal of Bethlehem. Legend has it that in the Middle Ages the knight Michael Dominiquiz, a native of Ledesma, made his way to Jerusalem to participate in the crusades that splattered at that time on the Holy Land (tradition speaks of the year 900, but a document dates this journey in 1149). Once there, the destination wanted me to find in a tower near the big city an abandoned chest. What could it be? Curiosity wasted no more time, and when he opened it, he found human bones, shepherd's slurs and shearing scissors. Why were these remains so meticulously stored? He couldn't give in to his efforts to find out more information. Suddenly, next to the skull, he saw a small text with three names: "The glorious Ysacio, Josephus and James Shepherds of Bethlehem, who deserved to see and worship the former Christo God and man born in the portal". After delving into the subject, he concluded that these were the relics of the three pastors of Bethlehem who quote the Gospel of Luke, direct witnesses of the miracle that occurred in a small manger: Josephus (or Joseph), Issacio (or Isaac) and James. Proud of his find, the Crusader knight decided to return to his native village for these relics to be revered. This is reflected by the first chronicler of Ledesma, the then archpriest of Toledo, who notes in several documents the presence of these remains in the town. The shepherds of Bethlehem! The news spread faster than the advance of armies during the crusades's bloody war fights. And it came to the ears of Pope Innocent XI, who granted the privilege to form a brotherhood that safeguarded such a peculiar treasure in the church of St. Peter of Ledesma. However, another legend attributes these bones to two shepherds whose death the bells of the church of St. Helena miraculously began to ring, although this story has much less roots among the Ledesmins. The truth is that the villa has, ever since, had a few reliquies that were guarded by a gate in the old Church of St. Peter's, already missing. It was even sent to manufacture a weapon to achieve greater protection of the remains and thus avoid its deterioration. After the destruction of this church, they were transferred to the new temple of San Fernando, in the mesons district. There he remained the chest since the late 19th century, even hidden for several years until he rediscovered three decades ago after a reform effort.

Dose Leo work at senor hueso pizza restaurant?
Yes he dose when he gets a little older! Hueso insists that Leo doesn’t need to work as they earn enough as is, but Leo says he needs to do his part. Leo absolutely thrives in he’s work, and I think Hueso feels proud that his son finds so much joy in it to.
